After the battle with the decay of angel, chuuya burn out.

In order to help the mafia recuperate from the heavy loss that they suffered he had to take too many mission and work even harder than before, he end up so tired that his ability go out of control to the point that Mori have to order him to take a sick leave.

He remind him than he did an excellent acting job back at meursault that could even fool fyodor moreover it was a while that he though to put Mori corp in the entertainment industry ( with their first project being an odasaku man TV serie, chuuya-kun would be the perfect choice to voice him , he could already see the profit).

Chuuya still love fighting and still see the mafia as his family but he agree ( After being convinced by mori and all the others executive + hirotsu) that it's for best for him to take a break.

He agree for two reason : like that he could still be usefull to the port mafia even if he would be officially temporary retired but would still help if needed and it would honor Lippmann.

And it work well too well if you ask Mori in a rare what have i done moment when elise became a big fan , he quickly became really popular his merchandise sell like hot cakes .

The port mafia is really supportive of their favorite executive new carrer choice, but curiously the special merch commissioned by his fandom keep on mysteriously getting stolen.

The government decide to not do anything against it , after all it's better than him doing criminal activity ( and they all willfully ignore when they spot his merch ( tsujimura and ango being amongst those who possess his merch).

As for the agency, it drive dazai crazy but his secretly the president of the fan club ( and have stolen many merch) , Kenji and Naomi are fan ( even if he don't hold a candle to her dear brother to naomi) and Atsushi have a collection of his photos who feature akutagawa ryuunosuke in civilian clothes ( dazai reaction when he see them was : " Et tu , atsushi-kun ?").

Paparazzi and regular peoples keep taking photos of him with chuuya it got to the points when the akutagawa siblings and chuuya had to do a photo shoot and when pointed out that he look like the type in the wanted poster, Yokohama citizen just shrug.

As for his collection in atsushi humble opinion , it's worth it to show it to akutagawa if he make this flustered face even if he had to lost a limb for that ( he's competiting with higuchi on who buy his photos and merchandise but sometimes gin beat them both, both siblings have acquired a fan club ( katai, tachihara, Verlaine and hirotsu being among the one who buy gin merch ( with all them without katai also being part of chuuya fan club).

Dazai is both chuuya number one anti fan and his most ardent fanboy he's also on the opinions that no one should insult chuuya but him and the terror of all of chuuya's fan club, he's also a big fan of odasaku man ( like in wan) but pranked mori big time for what he see of profitting of odasaku even in death .

As for his fan club a bored fyodor who faked his death is amongst them , him and Nikolaï make watch party when they watch his movie together.

i’m thinking about how devastating it must have been for shikadai to find out that boruto cheated in the exams.

there’s already a lot of pressure— everyone is watching, this is broadcast on international television, family from out of town is here, everyone knows who your parents are, both your parents were promoted quickly so you’re projected to follow in their footsteps— and on top of that, literally anything is possible at the exams. underdogs rise, prodigies fall, nations attack, some competitors find new friends or rivals or enemies, and yet some find love. that’s the epic love story you grew up hearing about your parents. there’s no telling who you’ll fight today or how they’ll fit into your story. and maybe those thoughts briefly surface as your first competitor steps into the ring, a feisty blonde from suna, and it almost seems as if history might repeat itself. but maybe that last thought never occurs at all because you’re already weighted with the other pressures and you’re in the zone because you have to win.

and then in the next round you’re set to battle one of your best friends. coincidentally, the hokage’s son. there are already minor political implications if you beat him, but you’ve been advised to fight with everything you’ve got, and you’re determined to do so. whether that’s good enough to win or not, you can say it was your best effort. besides, what’s a fair fight between friends?

and then, ironically, history does repeat itself as you forfeit like your father. you pulled out all the stops and really put on an impressive display of skill, but at the end of the day boruto is still stronger. you’ve heard your father speak of his friendship and professional relationship with naruto, and though it’s never been explicitly said, you understand that being friends with boruto means your relationship will mirror that of your fathers. you have a responsibility as boruto’s friend to maintain an implicit level of trust and use that bond to keep his head screwed on. all that so he can do things his way, which would be so much more of a drag if boruto’s way weren’t so mesmerizing. every word teems with authentic conviction and heart, and he’s so damn inspiring that, yeah, if boruto continuing to make the world a better place means shouldering some extra responsibility, you’ll do that. because that’s what friends do for each other.

and then in his moment of triumph, when you could not be any more proud of your unconventional but unfathomably brilliant best friend, you find out he won by cheating.

and this glorious moment is forever stained as your stomach drops and the vision shatters and you realize that everything today could have been— a meeting with someone extraordinary for the first time, a chance to truly fight your weird cousin, a hard-won promotion to make mom and dad proud and stick it to the cranky clan elders, a level-up in missions for your team— was ruined by your best friend.

surely boruto wouldn’t do that to you. then again, he did it to sarada. are you and he closer than he and sarada? regardless, would he have the nerve to betray you?

and when you finally get the chance to tearfully face him and ask upfront if he cheated during your fight, he won’t even clearly answer you.

and in a cruel twist of fate history repeats itself again, and like your father you are the sole candidate promoted. a tainted honor granted in memory of a victory you didn’t secure. and now that stupid vest collects dust in your bedroom because the only way to reshape its connotation in your head is to debut it once the rest of your team has earned theirs, and your annoying old relatives ask every day why you don’t wear the damn vest, and there are so many more important things going on in the village but that is all anyone is worried about as far as you’re concerned. you could have gone into politics like the elders wanted and avoided this altogether. but you wanted to be a shinobi. you’ve made your bed and now you must lie in it.

and time heals your wounds, and that deep trust is slowly rebuilt, and of course you eventually dust off your vest and zip it on for the first time, but you can never really look at boruto the same way.

I made an oc from a background character

I named her Yuriko, she's 16 and was disqualified from the second exam when she came to the tower with her teammate that was killed for a scroll. After mourning the loss of her best friend, she decides to train hard and become a Chūnin for the both of them, wearing her friends necklace as a way to remember her. Her friend gave her the necklace before the exam as a "good luck charm" to ease Yuri's nerves, and she hasn't gone anywhere without it since. That's as far as I've gotten with her thus far

Orochimaru: You can not get rid of me, foolish children!

Sasuke: No, I'm pretty sure we can.

Naruto, who was half-raised on the streets, presenting his middle finger with no fear whatsoever: Begone.

So Sasuke, who has been evading and pushing away Naruto for most of the Chuunin-Arc, who tried to focus on his search for power, who didn't sacrifice himself for Naruto on this arc and spent more time with freaking Sakura than with Naruto... Is still getting his purpose and soul changed by Naruto, who didn't even have a kind word for Sasuke since after the Zabuza Arc.

And both Kabuto and Oro see this influence right away. Do you guess how much freaking love there must be between two people to make one of them forget his deep-rooted trauma, based on unbearable pain just by co-existing in the same space, not even being kind to each other? Their only interactions being rival shit-talk?

And how he even mentions Sasuke's freaking Soul. Not that Naruto only provides an alternative to revenge and acting, he changes Sasuke's very core, just by being near him. Much like warm, bright sunlight on a frozen lake :)

not sasuke remembering how much sakura cared about him (see for context), and how naruto mocked him for being a looser and to get the fuck up, during qualiffication match for the third part of chuunin exams, when the cursed seal started to get hold of his body. and thanks to him caring about those two, and them caring about him, he was able to suppress it.

also let’s take a look at an episode before, where the iconic *“naruto, i want to fight with you too” and you know the whole sasuke acknowledging naruto and his power* thing happened, shall we?

before that, sakura wanted sasuke to resign because of the cursed seal and shit and he told her something like “this is not about you, stay outta my bussiness”, yes he said that. but he also said this: “i wouldn’t forgive anyone who would stop me from that. not even you” (when talking about how he wants to fight all the strong ones in the room to find out how much strong he is) not. even. you. idk about you guys, but to me it looks like she obviously was someone who he valued above most of the people, and that she could get away with other things other people could not, even if this was not the case. you get what am i saying?
