The prerecorded church bell chimes to end the weekly service. It is time to leave. You find your mom by the heavy grey double doors. She is saying goodbye to the other ladies at church. She has spent the last three years saying goodbye to the church ladies. You ask to leave. "Just another couple of minutes, honey!" she assures you. In three centuries it has been a couple of minutes. You can't remember the last time you tasted food or known the comfort of home. The church ladies are still discussing the same rummage sale for charity. "Just another couple of minutes, honey!" your mom chirps brightly. Your mom doesn't chirp. This isn't your mom, she is one of the church ladies with their beads and blouses, debating the organization of Junk for Jesus. In another couple of minutes you know that it will be a couple of minutes more. It has been three millenia. You still haven't gotten to eat the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity that is your reward for enduring this eternal hell. "Just another couple of minutes!" your mom says without turning her head toward your withered corpse on the threadbare maroon carpet.
