Among the Endgame couples in Naruto, there is one that is most jarring and that is so out of the blue and is the very definition of a crack ship, but its an endgame couple.
And that's between Chouji and Karui.
I guess every known female within Konoha that is within Chouji's age group has already been taken?
Ino is with Sai
Sakura is with Sasuke
Hinata is with Naruto
Wait, there's Tenten!
I mean if we really want to go with someone who Chouji hasn't interacted with, Tenten's there, at the very least they live in the same village and both shinobi are members of Konoha 11/13.
Why did Kishimoto write Chouji to be with Karui when Tenten's right there!

keeping up with the nara clan
so i was inspired by @arcticrose8256 to make some quality trash headcanons of the nara family in a modern au so hope you enjoy these trash headcanons
the series was originally a docuseries about the history of the nara clan
the show got extremely popular and it just turned into a reality show
shikaku appears in the background of almost every episode
is always roasting shikamaru whether it be to his face or behind his back
yoshino appears in the background in almost every episode but barely says anything
when she does talk its just her yelling at either shikaku or shikamaru
there’s a hour and a half long compilation of yoshino yelling on youtube
the show centers around shikamaru nara, ino yamanaka, and chouji akamichi
shikamaru is the king of comebacks
he got married to temari in season 8
he and temari will roast anyone and everyone who breathes within a five mile radius
he and temari will roast each other to death though
shikamaru claims he doesn’t like drama because it’s too much of a drag
despite this he causes so much drama
he causes 85% of the drama on purpose
because of this temari gets on his case all the time
shikamaru and temari are so f*cking cute it has caused viewers to feel physical pain
shikadai was born at the beginning of season 9
like shikaku, yoshino, and shikamaru temari, shikamaru, and shikadai are a f*cking beautiful family
shikaku and yoshino didn’t appear in season 1-7 but they appeared in most of season eight getting shikamaru and temari’s wedding ready
shikaku and yoshino has appeared in every episode since season 9 solely because they visit shikadai everyday
temari and shikamaru roast each other pretty hard but it’s basically nothing compared to the levels of roasting that shikamaru, ino, and choji do to each other
the current score for who has won their occasional roasting battles since the beginning of the show is ino-87, chouji-68, and shikamaru-95

Seiyū Love: Kentarō Itō
In the beginning, I didn’t like Renji from the shōnen battle epic, “Bleach." He came off as an arrogant bully, a strutting peacock of power. Like most people, I ended up adoring the wild and passionate shinigami for his unwavering loyalty and constant drive to improve himself...plus, his abilities and fights were pretty badass! Kentarō Itō’s gravely, manly voice brought Renji to life, from uncomfortable concern to snide condescension to full-throated roars, making this magnificent warrior more than just another tough guy.
Equally burly but otherwise completely different is Chōji Akimichi from “Naruto.” Unlike the often intense Renji, Chōji is usually laid back and jovial. The two are so far apart in personality, I initially couldn’t believe it when I learned they were voiced by the same seiyū. How could theses two opposites have such a vital commonality? I was impressed!
Given his ability to express a wide array of emotions in his deep, rumbling voice, Itō has played a plethora of buff guys, but he should not be typecast. The tsundere literature teacher Hiroki Kamijō from the yaoi series “Junjō Romantica” is an excellent example of how much more Itō is capable of. The dichotomy of being outwardly cross while inwardly insecure is always a challenge for any performer to convey convincingly, and Itō’s portrayal draws us into the romantic drama of this emotionally challenged character.
As much as I love dramatic performances, I consider humor to be more difficult. Shiraishi in “Golden Kamuy” is no beefy bruiser or passionate professor. A sly and silly sneak thief, he’s best be described as the comedy relief character. This is the guy who makes us laugh and is an excellent addition to Itō’s entertaining repertoire.

Ino, frantically waving down the waiter: I swear to god Chouji you are going to stuff your face with so much barbaque you'll barely have room to BREATHE much less TALK, or I'll do it for you.
Sakura, grabbing Chouji by the shoulders: I will take you out to dinner later. And you WILL tell me what you were about to say or I'll scramble your tastebuds so everything tastes like ash and you'll never enjoy a meal again.
Shikamaru, staring at his chopsticks like he's idly considering either murder or suicide or both: Are you implying you'll cheat on Ino with her teammate for blackmail on her? That's low.
Ino, waving away the now terrified waiter after a whispered conversation, nodding with transparently fake betrayal: Yeah Sakura, what the hell? I thought what we had was special. I thought you loved me.
Kakashi: Maa maa, Sakura-chan, I thought I raised you better then that.
Sakura, absolutely pouring with killing intent:
Kakashi: ^-^
Ino: =,(
Shikamaru: -_-
Chouji: =) =)

okay Shikamaru and Chouji are sitting together, that’s obvious, I mean they are the perfect brotp
but can we talk about the fact that Kiba and Hinata are sitting together too??? I love to think they were friends before they were a team. Kiba trust Hinata and support her since they were kids. So lovely 💕

Naruto Cooks
My Brain Thoughts™ on who is a Good Cook and who Isn't; Naruto Edition:
Team 7
Kakashi: Yes. Hes been basically on his own for most of his life, he learned early on what he was doing.
Sakura: No, she burns food no matter what she tries. It always burns.
Sasuke: Barely. He can make simple foods like rice and ramen and eggs, but otherwise his food always ends up undercooked and/or bland as a piece of cardboard.
Naruto: Ramen, yes. Anything Else? No, dont ask. He will start a fire in your kitchen.
Sai: I headcanon that not only is Sai a good cook, it became a hobby of his after he stopped being under Danzo's command. Good food makes him feel things, so he learned very fast what was and wasn't good.
Yamato: Yes, he learned from Kakashi.
Team 10
Asuma: A surprising pleasant cook, tho he tends to be a bit heavy handed with crushed black peper specifically. Its his favorite, dont ask why.
Chouji: Of course my boy can cook! He's an Akamichi for crying out loud! He is easily the best cook of the rookie generation, his mother made sure of that.
Ino: Shes an okay cook. She follows directions well, but her food is always kinda... listless. I dont know how else to describe it.
Shikamaru: Hes a better cook that Ino, thats for sure. He didnt really learn how to cook until he got older and stopped being such a misogynist.
Team 8
Kurenai: Shes great at baking, though she prefers savory baked goods over sweets. Her general cooking skills could use a bit of work though.
Kiba: My boy is an amazing cook, he could give Chouji a run for his money if he really really wanted to. With such a sharp nose (and subsequently a more sensative palate), he always knows exactly how long to cook things, season things, and what goes best with what. A True Conniosseur.
Hinata: Not at first. Even if her family treated her badly, shes still the Hyuuga Princess and was treated as such. She learns to cook from Kiba.
Shino: Hes not a bad cook, but his food isnt always the best, especially when compared to Kiba. Hes got a but of an odd palate and enjoys foods that many people think are odd.
Team Gai
Gai: Yes, actually. He's a very good cook. It makes him feel peaceful, especially when doing things like stirring soup or kneading dough. As someone who is high energy a lot of the time, it helps make him feel relaxed. So, hes been cooking for a very long time and is always looking for new foods to perfect.
Rock Lee: Hes still learning, but you know Gai has to pass all his wisdom on to his favorite student, and that includes his favorite recipes. Lee's food tends to be a bit bland, however.
Neji: He can cook, but like Sasuke, its only simple foods.
Tenten: I dont know a lot about Tentens background (do any of us, really?), but I like to imagine she migrated to Konoha with her family from Takumi no Sato, when the economy finally collapsed there. Takumi is located in the Land of Rivers, which is a border between Wind and Fire (Wind has a lot of spicy cuisine while Konoha features a lot of fish and game- idk if its canon or not, i read it in a fanfic somewhere and it stuck with me- so Takumi cuisine is probably like, Spicy Fish™), and anyway, this whole long explanation is to say I think Tenten is a good cook but she usually makes really spicy food.

@luaraes, Hinata:
𝙴𝚈𝙴𝚂 𝙼𝙰𝙳𝙴 𝙾𝙵 𝙼𝙾𝙾𝙽𝙻𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃 went wide at his statement, feeling her cheeks heat up at the kindness of his gesture. ❛ Chouji-kun! Y-you didn’t have to… ❜ she exclaimed softly, trying not to wake the sleeping toddler in her arms ━━━━━━ Mirai had been quite fussy that day, and not having Kurenai at home had made the young girl even more irritable, though Hinata and Chouji slowly managed to calm her down enough for the toddler to take a well deserved nap. Gently, the Heiress maneuvered the child so she could take the tea her friend had so graciously made for her ━━━━━━━━ Hinata wondered how Chouji still found time to come and help Kurenai with Mirai, after all from what she had heard, the Akamichi restaurants were becoming more and more popular these days. ❛ Thank you, Chouji-kun. ❜ she smiled up at him, that same soft and angelic smile she gave everyone she held dear.
The Hyuuga Heiress refused to admit how tired she was, the preparations for her to assume the mantle of Head of Clan were gruesome, but her father was ready to step down ━━━━━━ concept that terrified her, for deep down Hinata still felt like that frightened little girl she used to be. But she didn’t feel it was right for her to complain, not when her friends seemed to be doing and acomplishing so much more than her. ❛ How are the restaurants? Hanabi-chan tells me they are even more popular nowadays. ❜ one of the downsides of preparing to become Head of The Hyuuga was the fact that Hinata hardly had time to go outside and to learn what went on in the village ━━━━━━ thankfully, she had Hanabi to keep her informed. ❛ I hope you aren’t working yourself to the bone, Chouji-kun. ❜
“You’re welcome,” Chouji responds in a hushed tone, not wishing to wake Mirai. He mirrors the Hyuuga’s warm, gracious smile. “I figured you could use it— Ermm, Mirai’s been extra cranky today.”
That, and the tiredness the Hyuuga displayed did not go unnoticed by the Akimichi. While he did not really keep up with clan politics— much to his father’s dismay— He did know that Hinata would soon take over as the head of the Hyuuga clan. Wow! Chouji did not envy her sudden gain in power; Running a clan was not an easy task. But he did worry for Hinata; That was so much responsibility placed on one young person’s shoulders! If it was tough for his father, a seasoned leader, he couldn’t imagine what challenges laid ahead for Hinata— For someone considered so soft and kind. .
. . Kind of like he was. They were people with a lot of heart to give. Yes, he did worry for her, but he also greatly admired her. She was going to be soft and kind— Things great leaders were not known for. But Hinata would be well-known; Chouji was sure of it. And that—
“’M sorry— What?” It was now that his mind had finally processed that Hinata had spoken to him. His face flushes with embarrassment, realizing that he had not caught a word she’d said because he’d been busy thinking about her. And he blurts out the words before realizing how strange they may sound. “S-Sorry, Hinata-chan, I didn’t catch what you said. I was too busy thinking about you.”

@shinobistories asked: "Hey, Sasuke, Happy Valentine's day." Chouji greets the other genin with hesitancy in his voice; Though every other interaction he'd had with Sasuke had been pleasant, he still worried about being a bother to the Uchiha. But today he'd fight through the worry: He had a gift for Sasuke! A way of sayin' thanks for helping him out with his bellyache in the forest. The Akimichi presents the other with a restaurant coupon. "E-Ermm, I know you don't like sweets, so. . I-I hope you'll like this."
“Hn.”
If he felt any irritation towards Chouji approaching him, he showed none on his expression. ( A comfortable blank expression; per usual it seemed. ) The holiday meant nothing to him, as did most holidays, and if anything there was a smidge of surprise at being approached using such a preface from the Akamichi as opposed to his blonde teammate, for example. Not to say that Sasuke hadn’t had to ward off a couple of admirers since the day began.
Dark eyes flickered down to the offered coupon, brows furrowing slightly in puzzlement and faint surprise, extending his hand to take the small paper gently between pale fingers; bringing it up to his face. He couldn’t remember the last time he had eaten out at a restaurant by himself - and not being dragged along with his teammates - but... there was something touching about Chouji remembering and filtering away that little tidbit about the Uchiha; even if he would never allow it to show.
“.... Thanks.” There’s a small upward inclination in the genin’s voice; true thankfulness peaking out through his usually monotone tone. Onyx eyes glanced back up towards the other, giving him a small nod to emphasize his faint gratitude. “--- I’m not sure why you felt compelled to do this, but... i will check it out.”
