Naruto Characters Accidentally Calling their Girlfriend their Wife

MR KRABSSSS I HAVE AN IDEAAA

Fem reader (or if you want to be called wife)

Characters: Naruto, Sasuke, Shino, Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Rock Lee, Kankuro, and Gaara.

(Masterlist is up now) also I’ll be adding Sai to this in the morning

Naruto Uzumaki

He’s talking to some new people and enthusiastically pulls you to his side, a large smile on his face, and he says “This is my wife! Y/N!”

You can’t hide your shock, not fully at least. He’s never called you his wife before. I mean, he’s said things like “you’ll be my future wife, right?” As he giggles or something.

But you are in a state of shock that he introduced you that way.

Nonetheless, you’re happy.

If the person makes a comment about how young or cute you two are for a married couple, he’d realize. Likely, he’d respond a little oddly, stuttering, but recovers and just full sends with the claim you’re his wife.

Sasuke Uchiha

If he’s with you, you’re gonna be his wife anyways. He didn’t get with you until he was sure of that, because it took him a long time to realize he felt that way anyways.

So he calls you his wife with full confidence, before realizing his mistake. However, he doesn’t care too much to correct himself or anything.

Because you are gonna marry him right? (He’s actually really nervous to propose, but he won’t admit that.)

People would probably just believe him immediately considering just how serious he is about you to even be with you.

When you confront him about it later, he’ll ask you if that was okay, explain it was a mistake, but he’ll probably comment on how he’s dating to marry anyways so… you might as well be his wife.

You can probably expect a proposal soon.

Shino Aburame

I can’t fully see this happening tbh. However, let’s say that it does.

He’d probably over explain himself to the person he referred of you as his wife too.

Not that he doesn’t want you as his wife, but you haven’t said you’ll be his wife yet. So he can’t call you his wife. That’s how he sees it.

He’ll probably think he messed up and upset you, so you’ll have to explain it was cute.

Once you explain to him, he’ll see your point. Maybe with some reluctance to lighten up on himself.

He’ll be happy you want to be seen as his wife though.

Kiba Inuzuka

Realized his mistake, but he could not be bothered.

He will keep on as if there is no mistake. As if you are legally married.

He’ll be upset if you correct him in front of people.

It’ll turn into a bit of an argument if you correct him in any way other than sweetly.

Because what the big deal???

If you leave it alone, and talk to him later, now he’s nervous and stuttering. But he’ll likely comment on how he knows you want to marry him so you might as well be called his wife.

Shikamaru Nara

Immediately realizing what slipped out his mouth.

Does he really want you to be his wife? Well, of course he does. But that’s a lot for him to accidentally spill out to some strangers you’re both meeting.

They don’t know he made a mistake, because you roll with it.

Later, he’ll try to avoid talking about it, but if you bring it up, he’ll say it was a mistake, don’t take it so seriously.

If you seem down about his underwhelming response, he’ll likely have an actual talk about his future with you to reassure you that he was just being an idiot when he said that.

Choji Akimichi

He forgot you’re not his wife.

I think Choji would just love you so much that he would simply treat you like a wife. To the point he forgets, you’re not his wife.

If you comment on it, he’ll think about it and probably be like ohhhh right.

He’ll apologize, but more than likely you’ll just say it was cute.

I can see him calling you wifey.

But if he’s gonna call you that, he’s gotta get you that ring. He’s planning on it as yall speak.

Neji Hyuga

You two are waiting a while before calling it official. Plans of marriage are far off.

He’s a little too traditional to jump at marriage quickly.

So when he accidentally calls you his wife, it was to Hiashi. He went pale. Paler than usual.

Later, depending on how exactly that went, he’ll probably be in his head.

Let’s assume for this though, that Hiashi approves of you completely.

Hiashi made a comment, rather he meant it badly or not, Neji will take it the wrong way. Realize he jumped too far.

You’ll have to tell him you find it cute, and rather his uncle approves of you two or not, you’ll be his wife someday :)

Rock Lee

It COULD be an honest mistake.

But let’s be honest,

It’s Lee.

He calls you his wife to your face, to other people, hell, he’d shout it from the roof tops.

So it’s not an accident. He meant it. He will one day make you his wife, so why would he not call you his wife now!

If you have any reserves about being called his wife before actual marriage, he will pout and be upset. He won’t understand.

But, once that’s over, he’s crying and begging for forgiveness.

Please tell him it’s cute that he wants to marry you, even if you do want to have a talk with him about not assuming roles you don’t officially have.

Gaara

HE CALLED YOU HIS WIFE IN FRONT OF A CROWD. so now he’s blushing.

He might correct his mistake, might not. Depends.

He’s a confident speaker, but that threw him off a little bit.

Likely you were a strong shinobi or something and he was trying to give you credit where it’s due, but it didn’t go as planned.

When you too are alone later, you’ll bring it up likely.

If you tell him you thought it was cute or sweet, he’ll turn bright red like his hair.

He likely won’t go on calling you his wife or anything. Maybe in private.

But he’s not ashamed of it. After all, he’s strongly considering marriage.

Kankuro

Called you his wife to his siblings while you were over for dinner.

Temari is not letting him live it down.

“Hey, I think your wife is trying to get your attention.” “I don’t know, maybe ask your wife?” “What about your wife?” From then on out.

He’s frustrated because it was a mistake, BUTTTT honestly, eventually he’ll make some snarky comment about how at least he’s closer to marriage than she is. Then he probably harps on Shikamaru a little bit in defense for his own comment.

(He approves of Shikamaru tho, if he’s being real. He just thinks it’s a little funny)

As long as this is before a certain point.

He decides to call you his wife to your face.

He’ll call you that to tease you now.

Konoha men my sweethearts! Oh this is so sweet I finally get to unleash my inner fangirl for them!

A/N: Gonna be completely transparent and say that my favorites are Naruto, Kiba, Shikamaru and Neji. Yes, I do love the others as well but we all have our favorites.

Naruto kisses you very quick at first. He sneaks up on you and kisses your cheek from behind, his signature grin plastered on his face as he watches you try to hide your small smile. He gets very passionate about them the more your relationship and likes to use his clones to kiss multiple spots he knows make you squirm at once.

Sasuke will kiss you on rare occasion. He doesn't really know how to be affectionate properly so when he does kiss you it's very hard and full of pent up emotion. He loves to hug you against his body when he kisses you because he does crave contact with you, especially after he's been away on a mission. When ever he leaves on a mission he always kisses you on the forehead promising to be back soon.

Kiba is very eager to give you as many kisses as he can. It's like he can't get enough of you. He's always happy to wake you up with kisses, and an occasional lick, on your bare neck. Very fond of kissing you on the nose and behind your ear. Loves kissing the back of your neck when he's the big spoon and making you shiver in his arms.

Shikamaru kisses you very, very slowly, not due to being sleepy though, he wants to savor the kiss. He kisses you on your forehead in the morning as a wake up call as he runs his hands over your back. He'd love to spend the whole day in bed doing that over and over. Sometimes he does, but he makes sure to have no missions for that day.

Choji can't get enough of kissing you. Whenever he passes you by in the house he leans over and kisses your cheek. Sometimes he likes to pull you down while he has his head in your lap and smile up at you, giving you quick kisses on your lips. He always laughs a little when you kiss his cheek marks.

Rock Lee kisses you like he's trying to win a competition. A competition of how many times you can kiss each other in a single day. Also likes to give you hickies and knowing you will leave at least one partially uncovered for him, and others, to see through the day. He will kiss that same spot later to make it heal faster.

Neji only kisses you in private, at least on the lips. In public he likes to kiss you on the wrist and watch you get flustered even though you'd been in a relationship with him for a while. When you're in bed together he likes to kiss you down your back, listening for your little sighs and moans.

Shino is also very reserved in public. But when you're at home he likes to cuddle with you quite a bit actually and cup your face in his hands, bringing you in for a small kiss. Another favorite way of kissing you is to hug you from behind and tilt your head towards his, whispering against your lips that he loves you before affirming it with his mouth and tongue.

Konoha 12 Domestic/Spousal Headcanons

𓆃 Choji

THE BEST COOK ON THIS LIST NO ONE CAN COMPARE

Loves bonding over cooking and baking— whatever you like! If there's anything you're ever craving, Choji is taking to the kitchen to make you a gourmet meal as good as any professional chef!

Prime rib, lamb, tartare, croissants, macarons, soups! It doesn't matter your allergies or preferences, Choji can and will make you any food your heart desires.

Offers excellent cuddles. 11/10 squishy and soft.

Is very understanding, a fantastic listener, and naturally positive.

Never lets the romance l die, and after a hard day at work, will feed you ice cream while you rant about your day.

𓆃 Hinata

Traditional wife who has always wanted to be a traditional wife since she was a kid.

Content with cooking, doing laundry, and other domestic work.

Although, because of the society and the way she was brought up, she might feel insecure transitioning out of shinobi life.

While being made to feel weak isn't something Hinata is a stranger to, she is sensitive to comments from others about her domestic life.

Be sure to give her lot of reassurance and validate her work around the house.

𓆃 Ino

Also wanted to be a wife growing up, but the stay-at-home life is clearly not for her.

She'll try it for a period of time after your wedding or union, but she's far too restless for cooking and cleaning.

You supposed that she thought it would be relaxing and aesthetic, but if anything, she's getting frustrated and throwing the potato across the kitchen as soon as it slips out of her hand.

Ino will eventually find important work to do, come home to complain about it over dinner, and buy you something nice in a half-brag about how much more money she's making.

This is, of course, not to say she's bad at housework or doesn't do her share. She's perfectly good at domestic work and does the bulk of it, but the moment you expect it from her is the moment she stops.

𓆃 Kiba

A slob who, if allowed, will live in heaps of trash.

For the bulk of his 20s, he'll be super unsure of the whole settling down thing. You could make a whole bingo chart out of the cliche bachelor lines he spouts.

I'm not really a marriage kinda guy. I don't wanna tie myself down to a ball and chain. I just wanna meet people. I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. Nah, I'm not looking for a relationship.

That is... until one day he wakes up and desperately wants a family of his own. To an extreme extent. Like his expectations are absolutely insane.

As a husband, you'll need to reevaluate those and have a nice long chat because at the beginning of your relationship he will certainly not be pulling his weight.

𓆃 Lee

Sweet, clingy, loving and sincere man.

Ah, you are the sun, the moon, and the world to Lee. He is constantly thinking of or doing the sweetest possible thing he possibly could for you at any given hour of the day.

Is his execution great? You'd give it a 50/50. Does he ever take a break? NO.

Whether it's breakfast in bed or going on a grocery run to get it off your plate, you're sure to have to put out one fire and learn how to use 20 carrots in your meal prep for the week.

He really tries his best, he just gets a little excited.

𓆃 Naruto

Another slob, although well intended.

Naruto never had a formal family growing up, and so he has little ideas of what's expected.

Much of his idea of what a partnership should be comes from media or stupid things that Shikamaru probably told him on the playground growing up, so you'll have to work together as a team to set expectations.

A lot of what he does for you is in his language (you have to learn that him making you both ramen cups is indeed a romantic gesture for him), but he loves exploring things that you like!

Naruto explores your likes and hobbies in a very genuine and non-performative way. Sharing things you enjoy together will be the foundation of your relationship.

𓆃 Neji

You'll spend your first year of marriage focused heavily on strict boundaries, expectations, and other couples work.

The way Neji was brought up completely fractured his sense of family. Not to mention, no matter what you're like Neji will certainly have to fight with his family in a silent battle over clan politics.

Because even though the Hyuga clan has stopped certain practices, doesn't mean that everyone in the clan is in mutual agreement or share similar attitudes with each other.

This will be a marriage built on structure and meaningful confrontation. Neji is determined to break the cycles of his family to make a healthy life with you.

𓆃 Sakura

Wasn't sure if she'd end up with a partner. She really wanted it, but with everything that happened in her life, she had her doubts.

Most definitely too hard on herself. Sakura pushes herself to almost fall over you to ensure you're pleased. Whether it's housework or cooking, there's a part of her that feels the need to prove her work ethic.

It's the small things with Sakura. Even after a long day at work, she'll still bring you your favorite home for dinner, even if the place is out of the way. She'll stay up an hour later to spend time with you even if she has an early morning.

𓆃 Sasuke

An ironic mix between Naruto and Sakura.

As a kid, Sasuke 100% wanted to be a husband when he grew up. 100% wanted to have a spouse to provide for and had similar dreams that some kids often do when they think about families.

But after the Uchiha Tragedy, much of Sasuke's outlook about his future has been skewed. Any relationship will start off as rather unstable and you can almost count on Sasuke being emotionally distant

It's about how the two of you work through his baggage and his willingness to be vulnerable.

𓆃 Shikamaru

Surprisingly well-adjusted?

He knows how to do basic life skills. Pulls his weight and sometimes even does your tasks. Shikamaru is generally clean and organized.

Where's the problem? He's terrified of commitment.

Most of the relationships in the Nara clan seem to consist of passive Nara men with verbose spouses who have no issue bossing their partners around.

But at the same time, Shikamaru doesn't mind this dynamic. He wants to laze, but he's also almost seemingly afraid of dynamics that allow him to laze.

He'll be just fine around the house, just a bit dramatic if you ever ask him to do anything. He'll get over it.

𓆃 Shino

Great husband and great family to marry into.

Just overall very balanced, if not quiet. The Aburame clan is close, but respectful of each other. You'll never have to deal with nagging in-laws because Shibi has already taken you in as one of his own.

Enjoy fresh meals of produce expertly tended to from the garden.

While Shino has his more talkative side when it comes to people he's close to, he's still quiet by nature. Don't expect that to change just because you've gotten married.

The obvious con is the massive amount of insects that will constantly be around you. You're not allowed to trap them or kill them.

You will have to get used to bugs crawling on you.

𓆃 Tenten

You're always doing something crazy.

You don't think any of the other Konoha 12 ever expected that Tenten would have the most exciting marriage, but look at her now.

You're always innovating, making new things for her business, and taking spontaneous trips to check out crafting techniques.

Anything and everything you set your mind to, you support each other in. There are ten million projects scattered around your home.

You roll up to get-togethers (when they seldom happen), being the most traveled and bringing the most unique gifts.

No one knows what you're going to be up to next.

Would they get matching tattoos?

Naruto, Neji, Choji, Lee, Kiba, Sai

Naruto: Hell yeah

Homie would be super excited to get matching tattoos. Needs no convincing at all he is ready to walk into a shop that moment. He would probably think of some pretty dumb ideas on his own though, so the thinking process really is up to you. In the end he would probably like any idea you come up with though.

I feel like he would want it on his shoulder or shoulder blade. He would also at some point get an ass tattoo after a night of drinking because he thinks it would be funny if the Hokage had an ass tattoo.

Lee: YES!

Honestly Lee would do anything that makes you happy but that’s besides the point. But c’mon the boy stole Guys look so yeah, he would love to have something matching with you. Need no convincing once you ask, he's in. He would also enjoy helping choose what to get and have some pretty solid ideas.

Would want something simple and not colorful. Would probably get it on his forearm or wrist so he can look at easily when you aren't there :’) *would get an ass tattoo to match naruto*

Kiba: yes!

Is all for a tattoo, and one to match you? Even better! He would be a little picky about it because he doesn't want anything girly and probably wants it to look ‘super cool’. After a lot of rejecting each other's ideas you probably probably come up with an idea of two similar tattoos that match yourselves but also each other.

Upper arm/shoulder probably would also like some decent detail and to it, not too much of color though.

Neji: No

It's not that he doesn't like tattoos, it's just that he doesn't feel the need to have any. He doesnt mind if you have any, he actually likes them for you. He does think it is a sweet gesture that shows a good deal of commitment and love though and tells you that.

Choji: After some convincing yes.

He's just not so sure about getting a tattoo at first but he's pretty easy to convince. He pretty much lets you come up with most of the ideas but offers a few. ( all im saying is it has to involve a butterfly because it’s crime if it doesn't)

Probably wants it on his chest or upper arm/shoulder. He doesn't mind color either.

Sai: yes!

He would be pleased and honored at the thought that you wanted matching tattoos.

If you aren't much of an artsy person he would love to draw the tattoo or if you are then help make something together. You both sit down and talk about ideas while drawing up the ones that sounded best.

I feel like he’s also the most open to placement, king of. He does want most if not all of the tattoo covered while on missions. As long as his lack of clothing allows it, he’s pretty flexible. Doesn't want color though.

Naruto Uzumaki

He’s energetic, and that 100% applies to in bed too.

Likely inexperienced, but eager. And a little nervous.

Talked big game beforehand, but even if you didn’t know before, you definitely know it was all talk now.

That being said, he’s a quick learner, even if he complains about being confused at first.

I think he’d have like little to no knowledge though, being such a loner for a while, in all. Hope you have patience.

That being said, he is a bit of a pervert with what he does know.

Overall though, he’d set a fast pace, but the sex would still be intimate and soft.

Sasuke Uchiha

No experience, but he knows the ins and outs.

You’d probably have to correct him a little bit. Also, tell him to forget the book and just go with the feeling and follow your lead.

You’d be in the lead at first. Probably go down on him first thing.

He’s not small. (I mean did you hear the way he talked to Naruto? He’s probably got something to work with if he’s talking so confidently LMFAO)

So you’d probably have to use your hand for the base while your mouth sucks on about half or so of his cock.

His hand tangles in your hair/rests on top, not pulling, but resting there.

He throws his head back, letting out soft sighs and small moans that escape his lips. He’s not trying to be quiet, but he’s not loud either.

Although, he might have read girls don’t like when guys make noise. Who knows. Then you might have to tell him that’s not true.

A/N: I'm one day late with this but I thought it would be really cute.

Naruto loves the pocky game and always looks forward to it when he notices you bought some. He's ready with a pocky stick in his mouth before you're even done unpacking the other groceries. His eyes sparkle with glee when you join him and slowly meet in the middle for a kiss.

Sasuke hated it when you started doing it. He didn't see the point of it so he would pull away before it was time and you'd always end up losing a piece of the pocky stick. It took you having to grab him by the shoulders and pull him into the kiss for him to realize why you love it so much. He likes it when your kisses are made even sweeter.

Kiba is always the one to buy the pocky sticks, but he buys them in a lot off different flavors so you two can try a little bit of everything and not get bored. He has to be careful when Akamaru is around though because he doesn't want his friend to get sick. So you batter help him make the pocky disappear.

Shikamaru will indulge you of course but it's nothing that special to him. If you want a kiss just ask him for one, no need to play these games. But at the same time he finds it very hard to say no to you when you're looking so damn cute and excited about it already. Fine, but only one.

Choji really, really likes the pocky game. It's not because of the sweets either despite what others may thing, he loves doing romantic things with you and the pocky game is a great excuse to be cute and romantic whenever the two of you want. He always buys his and yours favorite flavor and makes sure to carry some for date nights.

Rock Lee is always a little to fast and ends up breaking the stick in his haste to kiss you. He likes the game sure, but he'd rather get to the prize first and then enjoy the snack. A lot of pocky sticks have ended up on the floor because of this, you can't fault him when he's being cute about it and looking at you with one half still in his mouth.

Neji would get so flustered about it in the beginning. Especially if you offer him a pocky while you're sitting on a bench in the park or somewhere else where people might see. He would take it very, very slow to try not to break the stick before it was time and always have this overly concentrating look on his face too.

I’m struggling to write a headcanon because Neji wouldn’t allow this. He wouldn’t allow the secondary-branch stuff to happen.

He’d be a fierce advocate for you, even before birth. But Neji is such a grumpy dad. The affection is there; it’s just through action.

He’s also not very good with words, so the affirmation is straightforward, but he would go to war for you.

𓆃 Sakura - Inadequacy

Your two best friends are also gods, huh? Sakura knows how that is, and she’s probably picked up on it before you tell her.

Kankuro and Choji

I needed to rewrite this because my stupid ass happily forgot to save it to her drafts. :')) anyways here's some love language thingy for the Kankuro and Choji simps. Let me spoil you guys.

Kankuro

His love language is physical touch.

He's not a pda guy in general but will put a hand over your waist or give you a sneaky kiss on your head/cheeks/forehead. He is a cuddle monster behind closed doors. He can't help it, he needs his s/o's touch.

He likes to cuddle you to sleep. 2 words:Best cuddler, name it he is the best. If you guys are spooning then he would play with your hair if he can't sleep or whispering sweet nothings into your ear. Sometimes he just purrs like a cat. You didn't hear it from me-

Since I couldn't finish the Kankuro piece (I severely underestimated the amount of time I would have today)... I figured I would write some headcanons about the holiday!

A/N: I was going to do something a lot more complex and long for this, but I really loved the plots so I will just save them for next year and write full length pieces.

Neji Hyuga:

You want HIM to enter a contest with you? Absolutely not.

Unless you really, really, really want him too... Maybe he'll make an exception. You never really know with this guy.

Of course he envisions something with some level of class, possibly inspired by European fashion in the 1700s or something.

But when you suggest your own idea... a feeling of regret already washes over him.

Two peas in a pod? Wearing full, head to toe green... He just can't.

"Apologies, Y/n... I just doubt that even we could pull it off." Truth be told, when you made him try the outfit, he really did want to pull it off. In the literal sense.

"Hyuga's should display class, Y/n. Really, I must insist we refrain from participating in this event. Unless... you want to get a different partner, that is." He smirked, knowing full well that you would never. He is your husband, after all.

You realize it really might be for the best, and why wear costumes when you could just sit at home and watch movies? A place where the world wouldn't be watching and he could be himself.

Actually he's rather a fashion critique himself, and had many interesting comments to give to the other couples. "A fisherman and his catch of the day? Do you want to brutally murder her for profit? Nonsensical."

Something that symbolizes a bee flying around a flower and collecting its nectar?" You two might have to enroll in an interpretive dance class afterwards.

After being near you for so long, it was easy to tell if you were bothered by anything. "Y/n... you seem distant. Is there something wrong?" He asked, though usually quite emotionless in public, around others.

"I just thought this would be more of a fun activity for us... not a huge competition." He seemed to get the hint.

In the end you both enjoy it, regardless of if you win or lose.

Choji Akimichi:

When you brought it up over dinner one night, it seemed you both saw the same poster hanging up at Ichiraku. He was going to ask you as well.

His love of potato chips has never faded since he was a child, so it wasn't much of a surprise when he brought them up as a costume idea. And asked if you could pick some up from the store for 'research purposes'.

It turned out to be quite a cute costume, and with Choji's pure passion being shown for the design, you obviously won. Whether said passion was for you or for the chips, no one will really know. "I mean... why can't it be both?".

"I really didn't think we would win against Kiba and Akamaru... It must've been pretty good luck." He smiled greatly, looking at the trophy in your hand. "They were disqualified! Akamaru wasn't even wearing a costume." You frowned at him. "Well everyone loves dogs!" He chuckled, walking into the kitchen.

It was somewhat refreshing to see a new trophy after so many from food eating competitions. "It really is good to mix it up a little..." You muttered, setting it down on the mantle.

Shino Aburame:

"It's a contest?" He asked, shifting his gaze from the flyer to you. "Yes! Isn't it wonderful? All the other couples are going..." You added, trying to be convincing, though to no avail. "And... it will be a great way to spread the word about insect awareness, being filmed and shown on television." He breathed in loudly, contemplating his predicament. "Fine... for the insects."

The next week was spent painting the large shells that would go on your backs. He made a dark, monochromatic one, made to look like his own.

"Too bad we lost." He laughed, surprising you. Your husband never laughed. "Are you feeling alright, Shino?" You asked, resting your hand on his forehead to feel his temperature. "It was... more fun than I was expecting. It was nice to spend some time with you." You looked away with a slight blush covering your face. "I don't say this nearly enough, but I love you Y/n." You both smiled at the sentiment.

Little did he know, that little conversation was also broadcast live on TV. "I didn't know Shino had such a soft side..." Hinata mumbled, a mix of confusion and fear coating her face as she sat on the couch. She could almost hear the loud bursts of laughter that came from Kiba blocks away.
