Yesterday was the first rehearsal in three weeks I was alone tenor in my choir. We have this song where the tenor gets to soar above everybody else – I basically got a little solo. It felt quite fun in a semi scary way: I cannot hide in the masses anymore I have to take control and shine for a bar. In a way it is a nice allegory for being nonbinary – I must speak up to be seen but if I do that in a safe environment, I get the space to do so without being looked down upon.

choir practice scene • episode 2
this scene caught me so off guard, in the best way possible.
it only took simon's "you should do an activity you actually like" for wilhelm to drop everything and choose getting to spend more time with him!
simon's reaction at wille joining the choir was also mine: he can't believe his eyes and keeps looking back at him with the brightest smile on his face. and simon shifting wille's attention to where the song lyric is bc it's all new to him is adorable.
wilhelm's little proud smirk between the kisses while simon is so into it: he knew and imagined simon's surprised and happy reaction to all this, but i bet he was thriving to see it up until this very moment. so he might just be thinking that he made the best choice of his life.
having to practice and wait for everyone to leave was probably torture for simon, when all he really wanted to do since wille came in was this (simon's main love language is clearly acts of service btw *cough*). he felt important, cared for, loved - and couldn't wait to reciprocate it.
also, he's holding the key chain and happens to do the middle finger with the same hand. if you look at it as a way of saying 'mind your own business' to us is quite funny.
simon setting the rhythm and wilhelm fully going along with it. they don't even separate their lips before leaning in for another kiss - melting into it. they literally said 'no need to catch air bc we're already breathing each other in'.
simon not breaking physical contact even once. his hands are the third main character in this scene: they act like a glue for their bodies and carry so much passion. it is peak chemistry.
going on his tiptoes to push himself as close as possible and clinging to wille for dear life is the most simon thing he's ever done. love really brings out the cuddliest version of him.
smiling into the kisses and out of the kisses? insane of them if you ask me (i support it) (keep doing it lovers).
wille smiling and biting his lip bc he's the one overwhelmed by simon's presence now. physical touch is his love language and he's flooded with simon's - he must feel the luckiest boyfriend on earth.
one of their greatest proofs of love has always been to provide each other's comfort by being exactly what they lack receiving from other people or what they need most of the times - it's a constant learning of how to give and take.
they can't get enough of it: it's not even only about the kissing but more about their need to just keep pulling the other closer, leaning into each other, slowing their movements to not leg go yet but take time to touch and deeply feel instead - wille's face speaks for itself. this hug is so intimate ugh.
it's finally shown a glimpse of wille's hand on simon's back! it was always there obv but it's nice to see it more properly.
wilhelm obsessing over simon's neck and simon who tilts his head back to make it more accessible. wille could've done it all and trace the path with kisses - simon wished - but the boy knew what he was doing!
the way simon looks up at him and wille rubs their noses back and forth, keeping his eyes on him, gives me butterflies.
they're super affectionate and it's the easiest thing for them to do. the intimacy that comes with their whispering, their own personal space becoming one for both of them to share bc it's safer, warmer, a lot more comfortable. everything is such a manifesto of how much they genuinely adore each other - it's what makes this the it scene for me.
their bottom lips touching are sooo *internally screaming*.
wilhelm stands still to let simon's lips brush past his own and simon's cheek resting against wille's lips to enjoy the feeling a little longer. they look so peaceful.
it happens after wille's "i like listening to you sing": they went from "he likes it when i sing" / "i do too, don't i?" (locker room's fight in s2) to wilhelm actually telling him that listening to his voice is one of the main reasons he joined the choir. it has to be extremely special for simon to finally hear it.
idk if it's just my mind making this up but let's pretend simon is kissing wille's neck here!
wilhelm picking simon up by the waist to carry him elsewhere and keep the thing going more privately. that's my wille.
can you believe this is the face of someone who's saying that he needs to go? to not miss the bus? he just looks crazy in love to me.
wille's laugh is cute! and simon throwing his stuff on the floor bc the priority was to push his boyfriend against the lockers to make out will never not be funny.
also, @allthefakepeople once said the only thing that could've made this scene even more perfect is if simon paused when walking away and ran back to wille to steal a quick goodbye kiss - ahhh i'd have been so here for it!

I am the biggest happy ending kiss fan, do not get me wrong but,, but—
but the choir kiss just makes me absolutely melt. I go soft and gooey and become a puddle. Out in the open?? The push and pull of shoulders?? The way Simon is like really moving with the kiss and Wille is more grounded?? The sliding of lips without kissing?? The speaking?? “I don’t like singing” “you don’t?” “I like hearing you sing”?? The absolute mushy gushy ooey gooey love in their eyes??
My brain chemistry genuinely changed when I saw that. I watch it over and over again every time it comes on screen. It’s just the sweetest scene, my eyes turn into hearts at it <33

Absolutely ruined by this one panel of Molly telling Yasha about his “choir practice.” The way he just looks so soft and melancholy. A glimpse behind the curtain, a painful vulnerability amidst all the joy and color he revels in. Confessing that he can't bear to watch someone else just suffer in silence; he can't just do nothing when there's someone hurting. “The truth is...how do I put this...The world is harsh and cruel, and I can't seem to be able to just walk on by. You see a wrong? You fix it.”
“I know what the other others think, but—” The twins gossiping whenever Molly takes off in the dead of night. And Molly letting them presume, think what they like, because the reality is something he doesn’t want anyone else to see. “Not sure why he's so embarrassed though...” This is something just for him, just for his own shattered shard of a spirit. A chance to protect another lost soul. To fix a bit of this broken world.
So compassionate, so protective--always getting so easily caught up and invested, ruled by reckless impulse and a bleeding heart. Playing at the hero. (He never knew Lucien loved putting on a performance too, that he was always cast as the villain; warm memories of song and dance and little plays on the roadside. Choking on the ash and smoke of a burning caravan--)
Molly pulling up the hood of his cloak and darting away under the safety of Sehanine's shadows. Running off to risk his life for complete strangers, for people who may never thank him, for a world that may always hate him. “I’ll tell you--and this is true--I did my best every town I went to and every town I left, no matter how they treated me. And a lot of them treated me with deep disrespect...I left every town better than I found it.” The way this resonates with everything Taliesin said about how the whole point of Molly's blood magic is sacrifice, how his powers stem from his desire to be a protector, to be good—
“[Molly’s power] was about sacrifice. It’s the giving of himself to give to others. Giving of himself to be a protector.”
“His very nature is to appear to be many things that he is not. His power looks one way--it looks damaging and looks broken and unhealthy--but, in the end, it’s all about a desire to be a good friend and a good family member.”
Mollymauk waking with faint echoes of haunting memories and nightmares of too many eyes and screaming minds, desperately trying to outrun the chilling legacy that Lucien left behind. Trying so hard to do better, to be better, to prove that he's not the monster he's so terrified a part of him once was. “Whatever it was, it doesn't feel good when I-- the moment when something creeps through, I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I was happy!”
“I don’t want to remember anything. I don’t want anybody else’s baggage in my head, I don’t want anybody else’s problems, thoughts, ideas...I like this person. [This person], right now, is a good person, is a fine person, is a happy person.”
The fact that Molly runs headlong into danger for others all the time, yet he's still so taken by surprise that Yasha would do the same for him--

3 Singing (Crossover) Quirk!Izuku + 1 Silent One
(these are mostly crack to me so don't expect good explanations-)
Quirk: True Beat
Friday Night Funkin crossover
- Izuku can only speak in boops and beeps, but everyone understands him somehow (except Bakugou)
- Izuku can initiate a singing battle with anyone by manifesting a mic and throwing it at someone, so long as it touches them the battle will begin.
- Singing battles transcend the language barrier and the effected are reduced to voicing an instrument. This manner of speech is still understandable universally.
- Izuku is everyones boyfriend
- Izuku can summon giant speakers and and a "girlfriend"
- Holding a sing off takes a lot of energy, missing notes drains energy faster. If Izuku can't keep up he'll wind up unconscious and with a sore throat.
Quirk: Kindergarten
Dont Hug Me Im Scared crossover
- A reality bending nightmare localized entirely around one traumatized green blue boy
- Childish rhymes and songs (mostly in the form of a "lesson") that generate a violent response often to the point of a psychotic break
- The longer the song goes on the more warped reality becomes
- Izuku breaks the fourth wall like a Dora the Explora knockoff

- Mimes are already overpowered. Now imagine that when they do that box thing it was actually real? I don't have anything else to say.

I was practicing my singing styles today because I can sing, I just need to find the right tone and the right genre and I think it might fucking be gospel goddamnit >:(
#I used to sing solos in choir and stuff#would go around and sing at hospitals and churches#but I haven’t sang in like 15 years so it’s like relearning everything from scratch bc my voice had changed from age#so while axels at work I push and practice so I can maybe get my voice back

As someone who went to Germany and spent like 70% of the time in churches, Von karma sibling growing up Christian head canons is so fucking personal to me
#ace attorney#von karma siblings#miles edgeworth#franziska von karma#if anyone is curious the reason was i was on a choral music tour with my schools chapel choir#a series of words that i know require so much explaining but take it#german church architecture is fucking bomb though just saying#absolutely stunning#i may dislike almost everything about Christianity in practice but they did go hard with the aesthetic#mvk would be Christian. he just would. he has that christan religious flair#i bet he like talked all the time about how laws come from religion#he like said one prayer about Gregory and thought he was fogiven and in no eay in the wrong#and Miles spent every fucking waking second there thinking he could never be forgiven for murdering his father#he probably becomes an atheist after he moves back to America because he needs that rational explanation for everything#but probably still thought he was damned because the only thing thay can over come Edgeworth's insistance on logic is his self hatred#fran probably had such a fucking complex about being a perfect Christian but it probably gets deconstructed eventually as she recovers#honestly i think its gone by 2-1 probably due to her father being a perfect christian but also a murderer#because she is really chill with channeling#it's probably something she loses when MVK dies

Man, I still can’t believe how many people read that article about how six religious Tongan boarding school boys belonging to a culture of boating and fishing, who were close friends before they got lost, behaved when they found themselves stranded on an island, and went “This completely invalidates every idea William Golding had about how 50+ random British boarding school boys emerging from a plane wreck might handle it.”
#my mom once sent me that article (which to be clear is an awesome read) and I said#“Those boys were fine because there was no choir around” and I was not kidding#the last thing you need on an island is a bunch of competitive singers#anyway William Golding’s thesis was never that every human being has a powerful wellspring of hidden bloodlust#it was that certain high-pressure circumstances could lead to the ones that do having more influence and less accountability#or incentive to practice self-control#which I hope we already knew
