Today was Children’s Day!

I took my toddler out to our favorite shrine for a couple goshuin and we hung out next door at Tokyo Tower to see the beautiful display of koi no obori (bori, as she calls it)

We went camping in Shobara, Hiroshima at Qkamura. It was beautiful! Lots of campgrounds in japan are closer to glampgrounds, so it was a nice change to be in the middle of a forest without a ton of lights interfering with the nighttime. We could see stars, so many bugs, and a few things (snakes) that we’d probably rather not have seen.

It was a great place for Eva, because there was space between campsites. She got to walk on her leash and check things out without someone nearby making her nervous.
