Okay, but Lan Xichen is probably more terrifying than Nie Mingjue and Jin Guangyao combined, we just haven't seen him lose his shit. Interestingly my first doll was from Nie Mingjue It's not so good, I made the head with a dough of another color and had to correct it after it dried 😳 The dyed mass of the clothes was less than I thought I would use, so his robe got a lot of sessions ChiFengZun's poor nose ... I crushed him three times😅 (Hands ~ I don't even know how to draw hands, let alone shape) The face didn't work, I needed my thumbs, but I refuse to cut my nails 👁️👄👁️💅 Now I'm just training to paint the face

The detail of the belt ... I didn't know how to do it, somehow it worked.

I love this gold paint, my dad gave it to me even though it was a bit expensive

Technically, Wei Wuxian has been married to Lan Zhan for a while now. They did their three bows a few months after everything had settled down after... well... all the chaos with Chifengzun’s body and Jin Guangyao’s history, blah blah blah. It was an easy decision, really – Lan Zhan had already loved him for his whole life, and Wei Wuxian was going to reciprocate for the rest of it. Alone together and happy, after all the shit they’d been through, they decided to promise each other forever.

So yes, they are already husbands.

But Wei Wuxian is a lover of (well, Lan Zhan, but also) dramatics, and he really wants to hold a proper wedding. Convincing his husband is easy enough; That man will agree to anything he asks for, he dotes on him so well. Convincing his family, however, Wei Wuxian is not sure about.

Lan Xichen is always kind to him, and they get along well enough, but there are some issues: Firstly, he’s in seclusion, and more importantly, he’s in mourning. Wei Wuxian can’t even begin to imagine the pain he’s been enduring after everything. Secondly, the one grudge he holds against Wei Wuxian is about his relationship with Lan Zhan, so he may not readily agree to a big formal proper wedding.

As for Lan Qiren... Their problems in their relationship go way back. Even before the cultivation world turned against him and labelled him a villain, there was one man who could never stand him: Lan Qiren, his husband’s beloved uncle. And he was just fifteen years old! With every offense Wei Wuxian committed, his hatred can only have grown stronger and stronger. Now, he won’t even let the juniors talk to him (not that they listen)! Lan Qiren was helpless when they eloped (the bows were complete, what could he do to stop them)? But if they ask for his approval to hold an actual wedding, he will surely qi deviate right after spitting in Wei Wuxian’s face.

At least, that is what he believed would happen.

But now that he’s sitting opposite the two of them, his husband beside him (their hands are intertwined under the table), that is not the case.

With his usual strict expression, Lan Qiren says, “It’s a good idea to get married officially.”

As Wei Wuxian gapes, Lan Qiren continues, “People will wonder where all our family values went, if you two go on like this without being married.”

Lan Zhan doesn’t even look ashamed. He looks over at his brother.

Lan Xichen takes a while to think. Wei Wuxian thinks he looks so much like Lan Zhan these days – unsmiling, thoughtful, solemn. They meet eyes, and Wei Wuxian holds his gaze for a while, trying to convey how much he will love and treasure and take care of Lan Zhan through his eyes.

“You have my blessing,” he says eventually. “I hope you make each other happy.”

Well, Wei Wuxian thinks, looking into Lan Zhan’s eyes, squeezing his hand, this went better than expected.

Now, they have a wedding to plan!
