“It’s alright, love, keep looking at me.” Carlisle had his cold fingers placed on (y/n)’s chin, tilting her head towards him. He studied her intently, eyes wandering over her slightly bruised features. A thick blanket of silence wrapped itself around the two, keeping (y/n) close to Carlisle as he studied her wounds.
Before she could even try to speak up, to tell him that she was fine, the door to his office was ripped open, exposing Charlie’s panicked features. She was too focused on him to pay attention to the sound of the door lock clicking shut, locking the three in Carlisle’s office. The Chief came to a halt next to the doctor, staring down at (y/n) with his dark eyes.
“She’s alright, just a few scratches. She’s a tough one, but we knew that already didn’t we?” Carlisle spoke his words to Charlie, lips pulled into a smirk solely reserved for (y/n) and Charlie’s eyes to see. But Charlie kept his concerned eyes focused on (y/n), doubting that she had gotten away with only a few scratches, not after seeing her wrecked car.
“Promise, I’m alright, Charlie.” Her hand found his, pulling him closer to press her head against his chest. She heard the soft sigh leaving Charlie, wrapping his arms around (y/n)’s middle to keep her close. “You know nobody could take as good care of me as the two of you, the bruises will fade soon.”
“We’ll definitely look after you, that’s our job after all.” A smile began to widen on (y/n)’s lips, mind momentarily thinking back to all these nights she had spent trapped between the bodies of her two lovers, an unspoken secret neither of them dared to speak of when leaving one another’s side. Slowly she lifted her head off Charlie’s chest, pulling him in for a kiss to momentarily distract him from his worries, forcing a raspy groan from the chief.
“Don’t try to distract me, sweetheart, I won’t touch you while you’re hurting.” The pout that tugged on (y/n)’s lips left Carlisle chuckling, stepping closer once again to stare down at her. Anticipation flushed through (y/n), she could only hope that Carlisle would manage to soothe Charlie’s worries, she didn’t want to keep away from her two lovers, wanted to feel their hands on her body at any given chance.
“She’ll be alright as long as we take good care of her. I mean, look at her, already so needy for us.” Carlisle’s voice grew raspier with every word he spoke, pulling (y/n) in for a kiss before he took a step away, shuffling out of his white coat. He leaned back against the edge of his table, watching Charlie ponder over his words for a second before he slowly nodded. “How do you want us, love?”
She struggled to reply, mouth suddenly all too dry, throat growing tighter with every inhale of air, only Charlie’s dark voice managed to rip her out of her trance, heart jumping a few beats, “Carlisle asked you a question, sweetheart, speak when you’re asked to, be a good girl for us.”
“I don’t care, just want you both.” A hum left Carlisle as he studied (y/n) for a few more seconds. Her whimpers left the two men excited, wanting her just as much as she needed them.
“Take off your clothes and get on all fours on my stretcher.” The men’s eyes met, wordlessly communicating about how this would play out. But neither of them managed to hold eye contact for long, distracted by (y/n)’s now naked frame.
She had followed Carlisle’s command almost blindly, forced into a position she was no stranger to. Both men stepped closer, undoing their trousers to free their hardening cocks with smirks thrown one another’s way; they’d be ruthless, set on taking what they were aching for. With Carlisle placed behind her and Charlie standing in front of her, (y/n)’s body did what it had done numerous times before, lips parted for Charlie’s cock, while Carlisle’s hand found her wet cunt.
A moan clawed through her as Carlisle pushed two fingers into her from behind the same second Charlie pushed his cock into her mouth. Both men groaned at the feeling of her body reacting to their touches, while she took as much of Charlie as she could, her walls clenched around Carlisle’s cold fingers, still not used to the sensation.
Her mind struggled to focus, torn between too many emotions, trying to focus on the way Charlie’s cock twitched inside her mouth, meeting the back of her throat with every thrust, trying to pay attention to the way Carlisle momentarily let go of her, only to push his cock into her from behind seconds later.
It felt as if the world around her had stopped spinning for a few seconds, instantly silencing her racing thoughts – feeling more complete than she had the past days. Carlisle wasn’t soft with her, he kept his fingertips buried in her naked flesh as he took what he was desperate for, cock forcing her walls apart with every ferocious thrust.
(Y/n) was a moaning mess, with tears dripping from her glassy eyes and heat rising to her face. Her eyes kept holding contact with Charlie, who stared down at her. She greedily swallowed around him, cheeks hollowed to draw those deep groans from him she loved to hear. In moments like these, she was theirs to own, theirs to toy with, not daring to speak up as the two men took what they were offered, mercilessly claiming her as theirs.
“You like that, don’t you, love? You want to make us proud, take what we offer you.” She choked on her gasps, eyes rolling back into her head as Carlisle’s cock disappeared even deeper inside her tightness, nudging that swollen spot with every ferocious thrust. “C’mon use your words, or are you already too fucked out to even speak?”
“Yes, I love it, love it so much.” Charlie had pulled away from her for a few seconds, allowing (y/n) to catch her breath to try and reply to Carlisle’s words. The seconds passed all too quickly, seconds the two men used to change position. With a gasp clawing through her, (y/n)’s swollen lips were forced apart by Carlisle’s throbbing cock as Charlie fucked into her.
“Fuck, I can feel her clenching my cock, you’re close, aren’t you, sweetheart?” Charlie’s words were met with a hum leaving (y/n), letting the sound buzz on Carlisle’s thin skin, watching an expression of pleasure tug on his pale features. The tall doctor had his hand buried in her hair, guiding her movements, forcing his cock even deeper than Charlie had all these moments ago.
But the second Charlie slung an arm around her, circling her throbbing bundle, she was done for. With her eyes squeezed shut, (y/n) came, unable to keep on moving, allowing Carlisle to fuck her mouth. Their sounds mixed together, forming something so sinful she found herself burning up.
Her two lovers almost came in unison, letting go with deep groans and curses, filling her mouth and cunt with their cum. With glassy eyes staring up at Carlisle she watched the man slowly step away from her, leaving her feeling empty as Charlie also pulled out of her tightness.
“Alright, now we have to get you home to get some food into you, but don’t think we’re done with you yet, love.”

You tug on Charlie’s hair as you ride him, bouncing up and down. Your moans fill the small space, causing Charlie’s cock to throb and his head to fall back into the headrest. His hands grip your hips, thrusting up into you as his breath hits your neck. “F–fuck, sweetheart. You feel so amazing.” You whine, and your head falls back, exposing your neck. “Keep going, sweetheart. You’re doing so well for me!” Charlie places kisses on your sweet spot, sucking the flesh on your neck into his mouth softly.
“O–oh, Charlie!” Your fingers dig into his shoulders, feeling your walls tense around his thick member, your eyes roll back as pleasant shivers spread through your body. You can feel your orgasm approaching, it’s so close to snapping. “I’m going to cum!”
Just as you are about to finish, there’s a knock at the window. “Hey, Chief! These windows aren’t tinted!” You both turn your head, Charlie covering any part of you that is exposed, holding back a groan as your walls pulsate around him rapidly. “But good job!” The officer chuckles, shaking his head and walking back into the station.
Charlie looks at you. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart.” You smile, wiggling your hips slightly.
“Don’t worry about it, are you going to make me cum, Chief?” You smile sweetly, batting your lashes. A gasp escapes you as he holds you against him and begins to pound into you. Your orgasm builds back up and you cum around Charlie’s cock. “F–fuck…” You tuck your face into his neck, moaning softly as he continues to fuck into you until he finishes inside of you.
Charlie moves your head back, cupping your cheek while stroking your hair back. “You are beautiful, I just want you to know that.” He whispers, leaning forward to place a soft kiss on your lips. “Are you ready to go back in? There’s no doubt that he’s told everybody.” Charlie rolls his eyes, smiling when you giggle.
You nod, fixing your clothes and leaning over to grab your perfume out of your bag to spray yourself with. When you place it back into your bag, you grab your lip balm and swipe it across your lips while staring Charlie in the eyes. He watches with adoration before he opens the door and helps you out, ensuring you don’t hit your head or fall.
Charlie holds your hand as the two of you walk into the station. Everyone’s head turns and cheers begin to fill the room. “Chief! Chief! Chief!” Their fists punch the air as they surround you. “We didn’t know our boss and his girl would be so freaky!” One of them shout, sending a wink your way.
Charlie shakes his head, his cheeks turn pink, and he pulls you closer to him. “Alright, alright. You’ve all had your fun, now get back to work.”
You giggle and bury your face into his chest, feeling your cheeks heat from all the attention. As everyone scatters and gets back to work, you remove yourself from his chest and look up. “I guess we are freaky, Chief. Wanna get freaky in your office?” He smirks and nods, pulling you toward his office and ignoring his employees.

Sitting on charlie swan's lap trying to get his attention/distracting him or just talking about yor day.
PATIENCE | C.S.

warnings: age gap, talk about getting married, quickly proofread, hoping tumblr doesn't screw up my ending again
Tumblr media
"I want to marry you," you hummed from Charlie's lap, fingers digging through his beard as you cupped his face lightly in your hands. If the man hadn't been caught by surprise by you settling right on his lap without a single word, that little statement certainly did it. He lost all interest in the game he'd been watching, abandoning his beer on the table next to him, hand instead moving to your back to support you.
"You do now?" his tone was curious giving away just how intrigued you had him with such a simple sentence, bringing it up just as easily as you'd remind him to stop for milk before coming home from the station.
"I do," you nodded and sighed, in thought as if you were picturing it, tuning out the details, and then you smiled, holding onto him a little tighter and he didn't mind, simply adoring the sight of you dreaming wide awake. "Nothing fancy, just us two and Bella, maybe Edward, definitely Billy and Jacob," you were moving, shifting so you were almost straddling him, truly the only comfortable one but he was willing to wait it out. "We can go down to city hall and I can wear a pretty white dress with big poofy sleeves and we can go to the diner afterward to have pie instead of cake, we could have our first dance as husband and wife right in this living room."
"You don't think you deserve more than that?" his hand was brushing up and down your back, soothing you, telling you that you had all of his attention, telling you to keep going.
"More than you?" you shook your head, unimpressed by the foolishness of the question, how could he think a future with him wasn't more than you'd ever deserved to begin with, let alone that you'd need more. "Got any ideas for our song?" you quipped and he shrugged, fighting a smile when you moved your hands to his head, threading through his hair as you gave your own question some thought.
"Something from the sixties," he beat you to it and the smile that dipped into your lips proved that he was on the right track. "Though I don't think it matters, I'll step on your toes no matter what," you giggled, he was very right but you didn't think you'd mind if he did.
"We'd be barefoot," you informed him, happy to edit your little dream to make it perfect. "So it wouldn't hurt as much," you added and he smiled, he didn't dare hide it, happy to see you happy, knowing that after the week you'd had, seeing you like this meant the stress was fading.
"Sweetheart," he almost purred and the softness of his voice made you shiver, leaning into him, elbows on his shoulders as you nodded to make him continue. "Is this a proposal?" he pressed and you bit your lip, considering it, and that was where your perfect plan reached a plot hole, you never decided on that part.
"Maybe," you shrugged and then shook your head. "No, it's not," you decided and you weren't all that happy to hear a car pull up in the driveway, Bella coming home from a night out with Edward. "Don't think we're ready yet, but I know we'll be ready one day," you explained and it was ridiculous, the way you wanted to melt into his arms even more, feeling silly for how sure you sounded of yourself but it made him fall in love with you even more, as simple as it was, as silly as it was, as clear as you could see your little wedding day, the future he saw with you was just as clear, now more than ever.
"And what if I'm ready now?" you bit your lip, wishing there was a way to make time stop for just a few more minutes so you could appreciate this moment with him as you tried to figure out what exactly you'd done to get so very lucky.
"Then you'll just have to be patient, Chief Swan," the kiss you gave him wasn't at all long enough for his liking and he wasn't at all impressed when the front door swung open and robbed him of you, your hand lingering in his hair for barely a second before you were skipping to the kitchen. "Hi, Bells," you sang as the teenager came into the house, met by the sight of you holding a plate full of brownies you'd baked earlier, something sweet that you needed after a long week and you were sure she needed them too. "You hungry?" you were already pulling out a little plate from the cupboard so there wasn't really a choice in the matter as she nodded.
Bella squeezed her father's shoulder as she passed him on her way to you, earning a mumbled greeting as he tried to focus on the game he was so entirely captivated by just a few minutes before but it was harder than he thought it would be. You jumped onto the counter listening to every word of Bella explaining her date in a whisper while nibbling at the chocolate treat but you were more than ready to lock eyes with Charlie as he turned around to meet your gaze.
"Marry me," he mouthed with a lovesick look, one you'd only gotten the chance to see on very rare occasions and you had to bite back a giggle as you shook your head with a slight shrug and a daring smile.
"Soon," you mouthed in reply and when he turned back to the television with a soft sigh his attention was further from football than ever before because if this was what his future would look like then he wasn't sure just how patient he could be.

Neither you nor Charlie were ‘Valentine’s Day People’, as some might call it. You had known one another long enough to realize that. Rather than extravagant dinners, there were movie nights with him curled into your side as he complained about how ridiculous the plot was. Things were more casual and laid back between you and the police chief.
Then, there was Bella. You got along with his daughter extremely well. She had invited you to her wedding to Edward Cullen, bought you a wonderful holiday gift, and treated you like family. You could read one another like a book, which is why, when she came to visit, sporting a wide, uncharacteristic grin, you immediately knew something was up.
Sitting at the dining table, Bella smiled, watching you with golden eyes as you milled about in Charlie’s kitchen. Your kitchen? Your shared kitchen...? Having moved in with him only a few months prior, you were still getting used to calling it that.
Turning away from the refrigerator, you paused at the sight of Bella’s grin. It only widened when she noticed your confusion over her expression, as you asked, “What’s your deal today?”
“Oh,” she shrugged, “nothing.”
You scoffed, examining her with narrowed eyes, “Whatever you say, Bells.”
Before she had the chance to reply, the front door clicked open. Renesmee bounced around the corner and immediately went to her mom, loudly cheering, “Wait ‘til you see what Grandpa Charlie bought!”
Edward appeared as well, following his young daughter and greeting his wife with a quick kiss. Slowly, Charlie finally rounded the corner. He gave Renesmee a look that immediately made her fall into silence by dramatically covering her mouth.
Charlie approached you from behind, looking over your shoulder to see what you were making for dinner. You smiled when he pressed a small kiss against your temple.
“What did you buy?”
“You’ll find out.”
You turned with furrowed eyebrows to demand an answer, only to be cut off with a kiss. Charlie gave you a playful smile before leaving to join Renesmee, who was calling out for him to play with her in the living room. Shaking your head, you turned back to the stove, wondering what he could possibly be hiding.
You continued chatting with Bella while Edward went to join Charlie and Renesmee. Once the food was finished, everyone welcomed themselves to a plate before sitting at the dining table.
Charlie, surprisingly, called attention to himself by clearing his throat. Unlike the others, he hadn’t sat down. Instead, he simply placed his plate on the table and remained standing.
“We all know why we’re here,” he said, “except one of us.”
With the way Renesmee squealed in excitement and her parents shared happy grins, the word ‘one’ clearly meant you. Charlie smiled, turned to you, and then continued, “I know I’m not the most romantic guy in the world, so I’m not gonna waste any time with this.”
Your eyes widened when he moved to be next to you. Slowly, Charlie got on one knee and shoved his hand into his pocket. When you gave her a surprised glance, Bella nodded excitedly.
By the time you returned your attention to Charlie, he had pulled out a box and opened it to present you with a silver band. Simple, but it still brought a smile to your face.
“Will you marry me?”
You laughed in disbelief, quietly muttering, “Obviously!”
Charlie allowed one of his rare grins to spread across his face. Quickly slipping the band onto your finger, he pulled you in for a soft kiss. Bella and Edward both clapped quietly while Renesmee bounced in her chair with an elated expression.
But, even in such a sweet moment, you couldn’t resist the opportunity to mess with your boyfriend. Oh, wait, fiancé. That was something else that would take getting used to.
“Proposing on Valentine’s Day,” you murmured against his lips. “How original...”
Charlie pulled away with a roll of the eyes, looked at you with a deadpan expression, and then said, “I change my mind. Give me the ring back.”

The Transformation- Charlie Swan x OC
Charlie Swan x Eleanor Martin
Description: Charlie has been asking Eleanor to turn her into a vampire since before they were even married and now, she was finally saying yes.
Word Count: 1.9k
Tumblr media
“Can you turn me into a vampire?” The question was nothing new between Charlie and Eleanor. It had been asked several times even before they were married. As a matter of fact it had first been asked not long after he had found out about vampires. One of the very first things he had asked about was how they would go about turning him.
Every single time he asked, Eleanor would just say that they should wait until they were married. Turning into a vampire was a serious commitment, a big one at that. Once he was turned, there was no going back. That’s why she wanted to at least wait until they were married. Of course marriage didn’t equal vampirism, but she figured that if he was committed enough to marry her, they could at least have a talk about it. That way he also had time to back out of both if he wanted.
He never backed out though, and they were married. It had been almost a year since their wedding and Charlie’s forty-fourth birthday was approaching. Eleanor could see that her husband was beginning to have Bella’s fears from when she was still a human. He was becoming self conscious about his aging compared to hers (or lack thereof). After all, he was almost forty-four while she still looked to be in her mid thirties. He’d aged well thus far, but who knows how much longer it would be that way. So, Eleanor finally sat him down one day to talk about everything that came with it.
“You won’t be able to stay in Forks much longer,” she started. “None of us will. We can only stay in one place for so long before people become suspicious about our lack of aging.”
“Ellie, I’ve lived in Forks my entire life, you know that. I probably need to get out and explore the world,” he countered easily. The girl couldn’t help but laugh quietly as she nodded, then continued.
“You can’t really be in the sun because your skin would sparkle.”
“Which is why you guys live in mostly cloudy towns,” Charlie shot back.
“You’ll outlive any human friends you make,” Eleanor added with a raised eyebrow.
“Don’t you guys have, like, tons of vampire friends that you can hang out with for eternity or whatever? Just introduce me to them.”
“You can’t eat normal food anymore. You’ll get sick if you do so because blood is the only thing that can sustain you. Any other food, you can’t digest and it doesn’t even taste good to you anymore. Plus you’ll just have to throw it up later.”
“Aw, now that’s a dealbreaker,” he joked. Eleanor couldn’t help but smile internally at his optimism for everything she’d listed thus far. But, at the same time, it felt like he wasn’t taking it as seriously as he should have been. It was time to give him the biggest con.
“Your relationship with Billy may change,” she said softly, carefully taking his hand in hers. The man paused for a moment, then furrowed his brows.
“Wait, what?”
“Shifters don’t mix well with our kind. The fact that Sam Uley’s pack was willing to help us during our confrontation with the Volturi is surprising in itself. Billy already doesn’t like me, imagine what he’d do when he found out that I turned you into one of us. And the smell of werewolves? You’ll probably gag the first few times you even get near La Push. You won’t be able to change that once you’re turned either.”
Silence settled over them while Charlie processed her point. Eleanor kept a keen eye on his expressions, examining his every move. He had his usually stoic expression, but she could see the contemplation in his eyes. It gave her no indication of what was going through his head and she couldn’t tell if that was a good or bad thing. It took him a few minutes to respond, and when he did he squeezed her hand gently.
“Ellie, I’ve lived my life alone as a human. Sure, I have friends like Billy, but I’m pretty sure that our friendship took a hit when I fell in love with you. Surprisingly I wasn’t as upset as I should have been. Now I have the chance to stay with you. Please don’t take away my chance of living forever with you as a vampire.” Eleanor was stunned to silence by his response, but she still found herself speaking.
“Are you absolutely sure you want this, Charlie?” It was one last chance before he finally broke her resolve.
“More than anything,” he answered without hesitation. The girl took a deep breath, then finally nodded.
“Alright. Let’s do it.”
They ended up asking several of the Cullens to come over to their house when they decided to do it. Charlie wanted Eleanor to be the one to do it, but she needed her coven around in case she needed help. Carlisle, Edward, Emmett and Bella stood in the room while Eleanor knelt beside their shared bed, where Charlie laid.
“You’re sure you want to do this?” She asked, offering her husband one last chance to back out. Just like with their wedding, he didn’t.
“I want this,” he said, softly yet firmly. “Do it.” The girl nodded, taking a deep breath afterwards. She glanced back at her friends, watching as Carlisle gave her a single nod.
Then, after a small hesitation, Eleanor leaned over Charlie’s neck and bit into it. The man gasped in response and tensed up, attempting to pull away subconsciously. Eleanor, however, had an iron grip on him and refused to let go. If she let go too quickly then the entire operation would be messed up.
After a minute Eleanor felt a hand on her shoulder, likely Carlisle’s. It was her signal to stop, but it actually took her a moment to pull away from Charlie. The blood tasted absolutely divine on her tongue, and she found herself hungry for more. So this is what other vampires felt when they fed from humans, she understood it now.
Nevertheless, she was quick to remember her morals and she pulled away maybe a bit too aggressively. Emmett and Edward were quick to step in and pull her away just in case something happened. While they did that, Carlisle and Bella worked on stopping the bleeding and holding Charlie down as he began spasming in pain. It was difficult for Eleanor to watch, and she eventually had to get out of the room.
It took Charlie only one week to fully transform. Eleanor was glad that they called into the police station under the guise that they’d be gone for two weeks as a one year anniversary getaway. During that time Eleanor barely left his bedside. She knew how painful the process was and the last thing she wanted was for him to feel alone during it. When she had to go hunt, she had Bella sit with him.
It was fascinating watching his transformation. Every single day Eleanor noticed more of his skin becoming smoother, or most of the natural color fading from his cheeks. On the third day she even realized that the birthmark he had under his arm had all but disappeared. Though she knew that it just came with turning into a vampire, she knew that she would definitely miss his imperfections.
When he finally woke up, Eleanor hadn’t been expecting it. The end of the week had neared and she was sitting in their room in a chair beside the bed, a book on her lap. She’d been reading it idly when she heard him move. Immediately her eyes snapped to him, only to be met with dark red eyes. Her eyebrows shot up and she set the book aside.
“Hey,” she greeted softly, though she knew it probably sounded like she was yelling with his new increased hearing.
“Hey,” he greeted in the same tone as he sat up.
“How are you feeling?”
“Thirsty,” he answered immediately, eyes surveying the room. A small laugh escaped the woman’s lips.
“Yeah, that’s to be expected. You’ll need to learn to hunt,” she explained simply. “Other than that?” It took him a moment to answer.
“I feel…great, actually. The best I’ve felt in a long time.” He said, sanding up almost too quickly for her to realize. Eleanor quickly stood as well and rested her hands on his shoulders with a patient smile.
“I’m glad honey. Now, how about we take you hunting, yeah?” The man nodded in response, and with that they were off.
Thankfully it only took them another week to get Charlie used to life as a newborn vampire. During that time he learned how to be around people while resisting the urge to drain them dry. He was displeased that he’d have to wear contacts so his new topaz eyes wouldn’t be noticeable until they moved away, but it was something he quickly got used to. He also needed to be taught how to not accidentally use his new enhanced speed, senses, etc around humans, which is what actually took the most time. Not that they could blame him, he hadn’t felt this young or spry in many years.
Also in that time, he (and the Cullens) learned that he actually had a gift. Psychic Fog. Powers that require focus (Edward, Jane, Demetri, etc.) don't get blocked, but become scattered and don't reach full effect. Example: Jane, who can put someone down in an instant, her power would be reduced to the pain similar to that of a bad sunburn, or Demetri would be able to only surmise Charlie's general location to within a hundred miles or so. He could also extend his power to other people like Bella’s shield, which he had a lot of fun with while messing with Edward.
They were the first of the Olympic coven to actually move away from Forks. Charlie gave his men at the police station the excuse that Eleanor had convinced him that they should see the world before “their time was up.” His superiors (and everyone else really) accepted it and had a going away party (where Charlie didn’t eat much). His boss gave him an excellent letter of recommendation as well as a good reference for whatever job he took next.
Then, they were out of Forks the very next week. They moved to a small town in Oregon called Amity, a highly forested area that was inconspicuous enough. Together they bought a plot of land and construction started immediately. Esme briefly came down to help them with interior decoration (and to look at some plots of land for sale when they eventually moved to Amity as well). Within the month, Charlie got a job as the deputy (though if things went well he’d be bumped up to sheriff when the current one retired) while she got a job at the high school, just like before.
Charlie hadn’t realized how much he needed to get out of Forks to really live his life. His wife joked that it only took him dying and being reborn to understand that. Not that he complained of course, she was right. They would be together for all eternity no matter where they were. And now, they were happier than ever.

Forever Yours || Paul Lahote
Summary: Request -Okay so reader is Bella's (fraternal) twin sissy. She moved to Forks with Bella and the whole first book happens WITHOUT her knowing what's going on. She's just as in the dark as Charlie is..... Read Rest Here
A/N: LOVED THIS. LOVE TWILIGHT. Keep them coming!! Thank you for the requests as always!
Pairing: Paul Lahote x Swan Sister Reader
Word Count: 4.0k
TW: Possessiveness
Tumblr media
You and your sister, Bella, had always gotten along well even being so different. She was the shy twin who always stood behind you. You on the other hand always fought Bella’s battles because she needed it, that’s what sisters were for. The two of you weren’t identical, and your personalities could not have been more different. Yet, at the end of the day, she was the person you knew would always understand you. She was your best friend and confidant. So, when she proposed moving back in with Charlie you followed along with her.
Things changed when the two of you moved to Forks and not in a way you liked. She began distancing herself from you after she met Edward. Instead of coming home and gossiping about your respective days she started going to the Cullen’s house. She stopped telling you things. She became protective and oh so secretive over her boyfriend. You confided in Charlie more than you could ever expect. You hung out with Jessica and Angela more than you would’ve ever dreamed. Still, you looked after your sister. She was the shy one who fell hard and fast. For whatever reason you just couldn’t seem to trust Edward. When she finally let the two of you meet he was just off and you couldn’t seem to pinpoint what it was.
It wasn't until the departure of Edward Cullen, leaving Bella desolate and shattered, that the mysterious shroud enveloping your lives began to unravel at a rapid pace. As Bella struggled to navigate through the abyss of heartbreak, you tried your hardest to be the strength that she needed. But it often felt like you were failing her. Like nothing you could say would offset any of the heartbreak she was feeling. And you were angry. Angry at the stupid family that decided to vanish without a trace. For even though Edward seemed off he seemed like he truly was deeply in love with your sister.
Your only saving grace was your old friend Jacob. He found a way to bring your shattered twin back to the surface of the water she was struggling to swim in. The three of you spent so many nights together doing everything and nothing at the same time. Laughing till your faces were blue and finding the human connection she so desperately needed. You could never thank him enough for bringing back your sister you had lost for so many months.
But even that wasn’t enough for him to leave. When Jacob withdrew from both of your lives you became the sad twin. It was Bella who became angry like you were so many months prior. Bella forced you in the truck one afternoon claiming she had a bone to pick with the second boy who abandoned her in so many months. You had no desire to see the boy, but Bella demanded you come with her.
You watched as she pounded on the door of his home only to be met with nothing. You waited in the truck as Bella noticed Sam and his pack off to the side of Jacob’s home. Her footsteps treaded the path towards Sam and his pack, heart pounding with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation. It was only when you saw her physically push Sam, the leader of the tribe, did you bolt out of the car trying to catch your sister from doing anything too drastic.
"Bella, stop!" you cried out, your voice tinged with desperation as you rushed forward. Your heart was hammering desperately in your chest, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within you as you reached out towards Bella, hoping to stop the impending confrontation.
But it was too late. Bella's palm has already met one of the dark-haired boys cheeks with a sharp crack, the sound reverberating through the trees. You watch in dismay as the man’s expression darkened. His features contorted with fury, a primal growl rumbling in his chest that even startled you. The forest seemed to hold its breath as the world became silent at what the next move of the man could possibly be. You gulped feeling the tension thick in the air.
And then in the midst of the events that were unfolding you looked to the men in front of you looking at each of them one by one before your eyes finally met the one who had just been slapped. His gaze locked onto yours, a fleeting moment of connection amidst the tumult that surrounded you. In that instant, everything seemed to crystallize, the world narrowing down to just the two of you even with all the people surrounding you.
Timed seemed to slow to an utter crawl. The world around you faded into insignificance as your attention was locked in on the man. A sharp gasp came from you as you continued staring right at him. It was a feeling you had never experienced in this lifetime. Something you could never have expected. He too couldn’t seem to break his gaze away from yours. In that fleeting instant, everything seems to shift. The air crackled with anticipation, the forest holding its breath as the weight of the moment bears down upon you. It's as if the universe itself has paused, allowing you and Paul to exist in a suspended state of existence, isolated from the disorder that rages beyond the confines of your shared gaze.
As the boy who captured your heart and soul with just a single look staggered backwards, a whirlwind of emotions courses through his mind each feeling vying for dominance over the others. Anger, once burning bright within him, now dissipates like mist in the morning sun, leaving behind a hollow sense of bewilderment and wonder. His chest heaves with the effort of controlling the torrent of feelings threatening to overwhelm him. He had felt every single emotion. Saw every single emotion. You were her. You were his imprint. Only Sam had been so lucky to have found his person. And now he did. And he didn’t even know her name nor you his.
To your surprise you felt your feet moving forward as he dropped to his knees on the forest floor. Pauk was acutely aware of the weight of this moment. He had to wonder what you were feeling. You too were locked in on his own eyes, yet you could have no idea what was going on and how chaotic your seemingly normal life was about to get. But amidst the heaviness of the moment, there is something else—a glimmer of hope, a spark of possibility that ignites within him like a flame in the darkness. For in your eyes, he sees not just a reflection of his own turmoil, but also a flicker of understanding, a shared recognition of the bond that now binds the two of you together.
"What... what just happened?" Bella's voice wavers, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looks between you and the man she just slapped. But you have no answers to offer, you were just as confused as she was. While Bella's voice wavers with disbelief, her eyes dart between you and the surrounding men, searching for answers amidst the bewildering scene.
Embry, who had been standing nearby with Sam, catches your eye with a knowing smirk, a hint of understanding dancing in his gaze. He stepped forward, as if he's seen this scenario play out before. "Looks like we've got ourselves an imprint," Embry remarks, his voice tinged with amusement as he addresses Sam, who watches the unfolding scene with a composed yet cautious demeanor.
Sam nods in acknowledgment, his expression unreadable as he assesses the situation before him. His eyes shifted between you and Paul with a measured intensity, as if gauging the depth of the bond that now connects you.
Meanwhile, the boy you had originally came to see, Jacob, came sprinting out of the house that he had just ignored Bella from. His expression a mix of surprise and concern as he takes in the scene before him. His eyes narrow as they settle on Paul, a flicker of protectiveness crossing his features before he turns to you, his look softening with understanding in your utter confusion. Yet in all that was happening so fast you couldn’t seem to tear your eyes away from this man. He had captured your mind, body, and soul all within a single look.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Jacob asks, his voice gentle yet tinged with worry as he approaches, his footsteps echoing against the damp grass.
You finally tore your gaze away from Paul somehow, your heart racing as you meet Jacob's concerned gaze. Despite the frenzy that surrounds you, his presence offers a sense of comfort, a reminder of the unwavering support that has always been there for you, negating the two weeks he had decided to ignore you for.
"I don't know what happened," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper as you try to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions that flowed through you so unexpectedly. "But I feel... different."
Bella's eyes widen in disbelief, her mind racing to comprehend the incomprehensible. But amidst the uncertainty that envelops you all, one thing remains clear—the ties that bind you to Paul, are unbreakable, defying logic and reason with an undeniable force.
"Jacob," Sam's voice cuts through the silence, his tone firm yet tinged with a hint of urgency. "Take them to Emily's. We need to talk." He motions towards Paul who was still on his knees before you.
Jacob nods in acknowledgment, his gaze flickering between you, Paul, and Sam, a silent understanding passing between them. He moves forward, his hand reaching out to gently guide you away from Paul, his touch reassuring in the confusion that surrounds you.
"Come on, Y/N, Bella," Jacob murmurs softly, "Let's go."
As Jacob reaches out to guide you away from Paul, a low, guttural growl rumbles deep within Paul's chest just as it had earlier after Bella has slapped him. His possessiveness flaring in the face of Jacob's touch. His eyes narrow, a primal instinct driving him to protect what he now considers his own.
"Hands off my girl," Paul's voice is low, but the irritated edge to it is unmistakable as he stands to takes a step towards you. His eyes never left yours. The intensity of his declaration sends a shiver down your spine, his unwavering stare holding you in a trance.
But Sam, ever the voice of reason among the sea of emotions, steps forward with a measured stride. His expression unwavering as he addresses Paul with a firm yet understanding tone. “Paul, calm down," Sam's voice carries authority, tempered with a hint of empathy as he meets Paul's frustration head-on. "We need to talk, separately. She will be just fine with Jacob."
Paul's protest is immediate, his feelings for you overwhelmingly strong. "No, she's not going anywhere without me," he insists, his voice tinged with desperation as he takes a defiant step forward, his resolve unyielding.
But Sam's gaze holds steady, his alpha like authority asserting itself in the face of Paul's defiance. "Paul, stand down," he commands, his voice brooking no argument as he meets Paul's gaze with unwavering determination. Paul winces but gives into Sam’s demands, though the reluctance is evident in the tension that lingers in his frame. His eyes remain locked on you, a silent promise of protection and devotion burning brightly within their depths.
While Jacob leads you away from Paul you can't help but feel torn between the conflicting desires that rage within you. Part of you longs to stay by Paul's side, to bask in the warmth of his unwavering love. While another part recognizes the need for clarity and understanding in the sheer confusion that threatens to consume you. And as you and Bella follow Jacob through the dense undergrowth of the forest you can't shake the feeling of Paul's presence lingering at the edges of your consciousness, a constant reminder of the inexplicable bond that now defines your existence.
Jacob guides you and Bella through a trail in the forest, a heavy silence hangs in the air, punctuated only by the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of unseen creatures. Sensing the need to break the tension, Jacob takes a deep breath before breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Look, I need to tell you both something," Jacob begins, his voice cautious yet resolute. "But it's going to sound... well, it's going to sound crazy."
You and Bella exchange a puzzled glance, the weight of Jacob's words settling uneasily in the pit of your stomachs. You've both sensed that there's more to the Quileute tribe than meets the eye, but the truth remains shrouded in mystery.
Jacob takes a moment to gather his thoughts before coming out with it. "The thing is... we're not exactly... normal," he admits, his words halting as he struggles to find the right way to explain the inexplicable. "We're... werewolves."
The revelation hangs in the air like a heavy fog, enveloping you and Bella in a cloud of disbelief. For a moment, neither of you can find the words to respond, the enormity of Jacob's confession leaving you speechless. "Werewolves?" Bella's voice is barely above a whisper, her eyes wide with shock as she looks to Jacob for confirmation.
Jacob nods solemnly, his expression grave as he meets Bella's gaze. "Yes. And there's something else. Something called imprinting."
You nodded along, “That’s what the one guy just said. We’ve got ourselves an imprint? What is that?” You asked pressing him further.
Jacob smiled knowing that your life was going to change, hopefully for the better. "It's when a wolf finds their soulmate. Their other half. The one person they're meant to be with for the rest of their lives." Bella's brow furrows in confusion, her mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of what Jacob is telling her. But you, on the other hand, feel a strange sense of recognition stir within you, a faint echo of the inexplicable connection you felt with Paul.
As Bella sighs with uncertainty, Jacob senses the weight of her confusion and seeks to provide clarity. "And... and what does that have to do with what happened back there?" Bella asks, her voice laden with hesitance as she gestures back in the direction of Paul and the pack.
Jacob's gaze flickers towards you, a silent acknowledgment passing between you as he prepares to reveal the truth. "It means that... Paul imprinted on you, Y/N," he explains gently, his eyes filled with compassion as he meets your bewildered gaze. "He's your soulmate."
“Paul.” You whispered his name out loud for the first time. Paul, your soulmate. Your heart skips a beat at the revelation, the words sinking in slowly as you struggle to comprehend the enormity of what Jacob is saying. Soulmates? It's a concept you never thought you'd entertain, let alone experience firsthand.
"Soulmate?" Bella's voice echoes your thoughts, her eyes widening in astonishment as she turns to you for confirmation.
You nod slowly, the reality of the situation beginning to sink in. "I... I don't understand it all," you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper as you grapple with the implications of Jacob's words as the three of you walked through the forest to what you assumed to be Emily’s place, whomever that was.
Jacob offers you a reassuring smile, his expression filled with understanding. "It's okay, Y/N. I know it's a lot to take in," he says softly, his tone gentle yet firm. "An imprint is... it's like finding your other half. Your perfect match. And for Paul, that's you."
Bella's eyes widen in realization, her mind racing to process the revelation. "So... he's bound to her? Like... forever?" she asks, her voice tinged with uncertainty as she seeks to grasp the intricacies of the imprinting process.
Jacob nods solemnly. "Yeah. It's a permanent bond," he explains, his tone heavy with the weight of the truth. "But it doesn't have to be romantic. It can be... it can be like a best friend too. Someone who's always there for you, no matter what."
The realization washes over you like a tidal wave, the enormity of the situation sinking in as you come to terms with the truth of Paul's imprint. It's a bond that transcends the boundaries of time and space, forging a connection between two souls that can never be broken.
And as you walked surrounded by the whispering of the trees and the steady presence of Jacob by your side, you find yourself beginning to accept the truth of your newfound destiny. The road ahead may be filled with uncertainty, but with the unwavering support of your sister and the friendship of Jacob, you know that you'll face whatever challenges may come your way head-on.

As you, Bella, and Jacob step into Emily's cozy kitchen, the aroma of freshly baked muffins envelops you, a comforting contrast to the whirlwind of emotions swirling within. Emily's warm smile greets Jacob, her eyes alight with joy as she rushes forward to embrace him.
"Jacob, it's been too long!" Emily exclaims, her voice filled with genuine affection as she pulls back to look at him.
Jacob returns her embrace, offering a sheepish grin. "I know, Em. It's good to see you," he replies warmly.
Emily's gaze then shifts to you and Bella, her smile widening as she takes in your presence. "And who do we have here?" she asks, her tone friendly and inviting.
Jacob gestures towards you and Bella. "Emily, this is Y/N and Bella Swan," he introduces, a sense of pride evident in his voice. "They're new to town, and we thought I'd bring them by to meet you." He spoke referencing the pack as a whole. It was intriguing watching him operate now that you knew why he up and disappeared on you those weeks ago.
Emily's eyes widen with recognition as she looks at Bella. "Ah, the Swan sisters! Charlie's girls. I’ve heard a lot about you two," she remarks with a knowing nod. Then her gaze shifts to Bella, and her expression changes to one of surprise. "And you're the vampire girl, aren't you?"
Your heart nearly stops at Emily's words, the revelation hitting you like a sudden jolt. Vampire girl? You exchange a bewildered glance with Bella, who looks equally taken aback. Edward was a vampire? What next… mermaids?
"What? Bella? Vampires?" you stammer, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment as you struggle to comprehend Emily's words.
Bella's face turns crimson, her embarrassment palpable as she shoots you an apologetic glance. Her eyes told you that she would explain it all later. "Emily, I'm so sorry," she begins, her voice tinged with mortification. "Y/N, this is... um... kind of a long story."
As the truth about vampires and the supernatural world of Forks begins to unfold, you can't help but feel overwhelmed by the enormity of it all. But amidst the confusion and embarrassment, there's a sense of shared understanding that together you'll navigate the challenges that lie ahead. As the conversation continues in Emily's kitchen, laughter and chatter filling the air, the sound of approaching footsteps draws your attention. Sam, Paul, and Embry enter the room, their expressions relaxed and jovial as they exchange banter with Jacob.
"Hey, look who decided to join the party!" Jacob teases, a playful grin spreading across his face as he greets his packmates.
Sam chuckles, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Couldn't stay away, could we?" he retorts, a hint of mischief in his voice as he exchanges friendly jabs with Jacob.
Paul's gaze finds yours amidst the commotion, a soft smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Y/N," he says, his voice gentle yet earnest as he steps forward, his eyes meeting yours with a depth of emotion that leaves you breathless.
"Paul," you reply, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze, a rush of anticipation coursing through you at the prospect of speaking with him alone.
Sensing the unspoken tension between you and Paul, Jacob steps forward with a knowing smile. "I'll leave you two to get to know each other," he says, his tone light yet meaningful as he gives you a subtle nod of encouragement.
As Jacob and the others retreat away from the kitchen to give you and Paul some privacy, you find yourselves alone in the midst of Emily's bustling kitchen. The air crackles with anticipation as Paul takes a step closer, his eyes searching yours with an intensity that sets your heart racing. "Y/N, I wanted to talk to you," Paul begins, his voice soft yet filled with determination as he gathers his thoughts. "About what happened earlier. About us. If that’s okay with you."
You swallow hard, the weight of Paul's words hanging heavy in the air as you search for the right response. "Paul, I... I don't even know where to begin," you admit, your voice trembling with uncertainty as you struggle to find the words to express the whirlwind of emotions that threaten to overwhelm you completely.
But Paul reaches out, his hand finding yours with a gentle touch that sends a shiver down your spine. "We'll figure it out together, Y/N," he says, his voice filled with conviction. "Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you. I promise you that."
As you stand there, enveloped in the warmth of Paul's presence, a soft blush tinges your cheeks as you struggle to find the right words to express the swirl of emotions coursing through you. Your heart races with anticipation, your thoughts a jumble of uncertainty and longing. "This is all a lot," you murmur softly, your voice barely above a whisper as you meet his gaze with a shy smile. "But it's a good thing you're so... so handsome." You weren’t sure where that surge of confidence came from, maybe it was the bond. But even you couldn’t deny the sheer beauty of the man that stood before you. You feel a rush of exhilaration mixed with nervousness, unsure of how Paul will respond to your flirty compliment.
Paul's expression shifts, a mischievous twinkle dancing in his eyes as he leans in closer, his breath warm against your ear. "Is that your way of saying you think I'm cute, Y/N?" he teases, his voice low and husky.
You bite your lip, a playful glint in your eyes as you meet his gaze. "Maybe," you reply coyly, a hint of flirtatiousness creeping into your tone as you lean in closer to him. "You'll just have to stick around to find out."
As a smirk tugs at the corners of Paul's lips, his gaze intensifies, locking onto yours with a magnetic pull that leaves you breathless. You feel a surge of anticipation coursing through your veins as he leans in even closer, the air crackling with electricity between you.
"Oh, I intend to, pretty girl" Paul murmurs, his voice a low rumble that sends shivers ripping through your body. His words are filled with promise, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he closes the distance between you, his breath warm against your skin. “Don’t you worry about that.”
A soft gasp escapes your lips as Paul's hand gently cups your cheek, his touch sending waves of warmth cascading through you. Your heart pounds in your chest as his lips brush against yours in a tantalizing whisper, a feather-light caress that ignites a fire deep within your soul.
"You're so beautiful, Y/N Swan," Paul whispers against your lips, his voice filled with sincerity and admiration. "I can't help but be drawn to you. I’m forever yours pretty girl."
The sweetness of his words sends your heart soaring, a rush of euphoria washing over you as you lose yourself in the intoxicating embrace of his affection. In that moment, all doubts and fears melt away, leaving only the undeniable connection between you and Paul, a bond forged in the flames of desire and longing. And as you surrender to the irresistible pull of his embrace, you can't help but feel a sense of bliss wash over you. With Paul by your side, you know that the journey ahead will be filled with laughter, passion, and endless moments of pure, unadulterated love.

The Incident - Paul Lahote x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
A little one shot that I just couldn't stop writing. A good angst to fluff (btw my fics will never be all angst, im too soft). Also do not fear, Im working on a Sam fic and part 3 to not letting you go. But you let ME know what you think of this one ❤️ 2K words
"My SISTER, Paul. She's my fucking SISTER!" you yelled, voice hoarse as your throat cracked.
"I could give a SHIT LESS WHAT SHE IS. YOU'RE. NOT. GOING." He screamed, jaw taut as he tried his best to subside the tremors that were threatening to take over his body.
You ignored the teeth he bared, shaking your head and scoffing.
"Aren't you tired of this?! I'm going over there. I HAVE to know she's safe."
"YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I'LL JUST SIT BY AND WATCH MY IMPRINT GO TO A PLACE WHERE I CAN'T PROTECT HER? WHAT ABOUT ME KNOWING THAT YOU'RE SAFE?? HUH?? YOU'RE SICK IF YOU THINK I WOULD BE OKAY WITH THIS!"
"Sick?!? SICK?!? LETS TALK ABOUT HOW 'SICK' IT IS THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO KILL HER AND THE BABY. THATS MY FAMILY PAUL!"
"AND WERE NOT?"
It had been like this for a week straight. Ever since the pack stormed through the door announcing their mission to kill Bella and the unborn child within her.
You felt as though your two families had been pinned against each other. Head spinning at the idea of there being a 'choice' between your sister and imprint.
On one hand you were desperate to make sure she was alright, but also exhausted at the never ending battle with your boyfriend.
Sure you had talked to Bella over the phone, but you didn't buy into the lies like your father had. Even though you knew significantly more than he did, she still attempted to downplay the situation. She had done this numerous times since getting thrown into the vampire world, but she could only keep you in the dark for so long before you unraveled the truth.
You had to see her. Even if it was the last time. By fate, or at the hands of the pack. You had to be there for her, as she would you.
Leaving your imprint though? Was at task challenging at best. On at least four different occasions you fought with Paul for so long that Emily and Sam had to intervene, prying you two apart at the pleads of other pack members.
Emily would console you while you ranted and Sam would make Paul run off his anger in the woods. When you faced him again, it turned into a rerun of the same argument. Nobody in the house had gotten sleep, and the things were progressively getting worse.
Quil came through the door, widening his eyes.
"Just a heads up everyone, a little comedic relief does not go over well. I saw my life flash before Paul's eyes." He huffed before sitting down.
"When is this going to be overrrr?" Embry whined. He shoved his head in his hands on the kitchen table while you and Paul went at it in the front yard.
Emily sighed.
"Unfortunately sooner than you think....Y/N packed her suitcase this morning." She said quietly.
"You're not really going to let her go over there are you?!?" Kim stood up, looking at both Emily and Sam.
"If you would like to stop her, please, be my guest." Sam motioned his hand to outside, where you and Paul could be seen through the window. You were throwing your arms up and pointing fingers at him, while his voice boomed loudly, towering his large frame over yours.
Kim winced.
You had always been the calm to Paul's raging storm. 'Made him all soft' as the guys would tease. None of them had actually seen you two disagree with each other. In the mind link they saw glimpses of minor arguments, most of the time being reconciled in the sheets..
Paul eventually got an order by Sam to think about something else while on patrol. 'Literally, anything else'.
"She's not going anywhere. I can count on my hand how many times they've been apart since he imprinted. They'll work it out eventually." Jared said as he pulled Kim on his lap, taking a hunk out of his apple.
Kim didn't share a look that she believed him, worriedly looking out to where you stood.
A few moments passed when her body stiffened and she gasped, making Jared look where she was.
"SHIT! SHIT!" He said, throwing Kim off his lap.
Sam turned to look out the window in time to see Paul phase, his sharp claw making contact with your skin. Your blood curdling scream instantly had everyone else off their seats, nearly knocking each other over to race outside.
You laid on the ground as your body wracked with sobs, clutching your side. Blood gushed through your hand as you started to panic, scrambling to stand. The large silver wolf only stood for a few moments before Paul shifted back, completely horrified as he frantically tried to reach you.
He felt his heart nearly rip out of his chest as you backpedaled into Emily, who was helping to hold you upright.
"NO! NO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! IM DONE!" You cried.
Sam stood in the middle of the two of you.
Paul could feel his chest caving in, hand out, speaking more gently than he had at all in the past week.
"B-baby. Please. Please, I'm- I'm so sorry baby. Please let me just see-"
"NO! I'm done. I'm done. I'm leaving. I'm done." You repeated like a mantra, limping to the car.
"Y/N you cannot drive like this..." Emily attempted to say as she stepped in from behind you. She could see your anxiety was heightened, and afraid to set you off further.
"I have to go," you choked, on the verge of tears as you tried to open the drivers side. You had yet to even notice the gash in your side, adrenaline pumping wildly through your body.
Paul made his way around Sam, grabbing your other arm that was holding the door.
"You are crazy if you think I'm letting you leave like this. Please come-"
You yanked your arm from his grasp.
"Don't. Let me go!" You said coldly.
Paul froze. He couldn't move. You never spoke to him like this. Even in the numerous fights you two had this week.
Every single instinct in his body needed to help you. He knew you were downplaying your injuries. He knew he just royally fucked everything up. But the absolute last thing you could do was walk into a house full of vampires dripping in blood. Fucking doctor or not.
"Come inside and let me take a look at you, okay? Please." Emily said to coax you, frantically looking at your wound.
This made Sam follow her gaze, looking down to see the blood pouring from your side hadn't stopped, and you were growing paler by the minute.
"Y/N....you're going to stay here and I'll call Sue." He said in an authoritative voice, leaving no room to argue as he turned to start dialing the number.
You almost argued. You almost fought both of them on the subject. Your stubbornness almost won.
But you felt an immense pain. So strong you don't know how the hell you didn't notice it when you stood up.
That couldn't be good.
"....Y/N?" Paul said, barely above a whisper. Tears were now silently streaming down his face as he held both hands out slightly. Not close enough to touch you but to be prepared in case you fell.
You could feel yourself start to float in and out of consciousness. You tried to ground yourself by focusing on something. You looked at his hands that were outstretched.
Those hands that you held on your first date. The hands that hover your back anywhere you go. The hands that lift you up from the couch on movie nights to bring you to bed. The hands that move in just the right way when making love to you. The hands that were now shaking, not out of anger, but fear. You loved those hands.
"Y/N? Baby?" Paul said louder, more urgently as he could see you fading.
You watched him get blurry as the world started to spin.
"Paul," you murmured, before fading into darkness. The last thing you remember were the hands that caught you before you hit the ground.
"Y/N!!!" Paul screamed as he caught your body falling into him.
Sam ran back, telling him Sue was just up the street. He instructed Paul to carry you inside and onto the bed. The pack dispersed, each trying to find something to help you such as towels, an emergency kit and pillows.
Paul held you close as he lay you down, while repeatedly whispering in your ear.
"I'm so sorry baby. I'm so-so sorry. I cant lose you. Youre everything to me. I'll never yell at you again. I swear on my life. You can do whatever you want. I'll do whatever you want. Please, I love you." Paul pressed kisses to your hairline when Sue and her nurse friend entered.
Jared reluctantly came in behind them to lead Paul out of the room as they worked.
"Come on man, she'll wake up soon I promise."
After he was guided out, Paul slid down to sit on the other side of the door, refusing to move. Jared didn't push it, leaning down to sit next to him.
"Sue's seen this kind of stuff before. Just needs stitching up and stuff," Jared reassured as he put his hand on Paul's shoulder.
"It's not the injuries I'm worried about. So much as what she'll think of me when she wakes up. I....I fucked this one up, Jare."
"If Emily can forgive Sam, I think Y/N will forgive you. She's crazy about your ass."
Paul just nodded, praying he was right.
~
Your eyes fluttered open slowly as you woke. You looked around to see that you had been bandaged up along your left side, an IV attached to your arm sat close by. You attempted to sit up, whining when the pain wouldn't allow it. Within a few minutes Emily entered, her face showing relief.
"You're up! How are you feeling?" She checked the IV before sitting on the edge of the bed, careful of your body.
"Sore...where's, where's Paul?" Your heart ached as you started to replay what happened. There was no doubt in your mind what happened was an accident. You had seen the signs he always warned you about, and chose to ignore them in the heat of the argument. Not only that, but the look on his face when you had refused him was too much to bare.
Emily smiled, not expecting you to want to see him so soon.
"He's just outside the door. Hasn't moved. He didn't know if you'd want to see him..."
"I need to talk to him."
It hadn't even been a few seconds when Paul stood at the door. He looked more out of shape than you did. The disheveled hair and dark circles under his eyes told you he hadn't slept in days.
"I'll give you two some space. Just holler if you need anything," Emily spoke as she stood up, making her way around him and down the stairs.
Paul remained where he stood,
"If you don't want to be with me I understand. I have no words for my actions other than I am so...." he cleared his throat, trying not to cry. "So incredibly sorry I put you through this. I put you in danger when I was trying to keep you out of it. You don't have to stay I-"
"Paul please just kiss me." You interrupted, not wanting to hear the rest as you already made up your mind in forgiving him.
He stood for just a moment longer, trying to comprehend if he heard you correctly. It was when you weakly opened your arms for him that he wasted no time in rushing over to you, cupping your face and gently yet passionately kissed you with everything he had. Tears flowed his cheeks at the relief that you still wanted him. Even after everything he had put you through.
You two pulled back for air after a moment, and you ran your hand through his hair.
"I forgive you, okay? I can't imagine my life without you."
He let out a breath, smiling for the first time in weeks.
"It will never happen again. I swear on my fucking life baby." He caressed your hair, neck, landing his palm on your heart.
You two sat like that for awhile. Almost scared to leave each other's presence. You two talked for hours on the bed. Paul had confessed that the night before, while you were sleeping, the pack had fought with the Cullens. You learned that Paul refused to go, not wanting to leave your side. You were grateful to hear that Sam didn't push on him being there, knowing you were all that mattered to him, and he'd refuse him if he had too. Even if it went against his every instinct as a wolf. Turns out that Jacob had imprinted on your niece, and Bella had survived, now as a vampire.
You weren't particularly thrilled your sister was now a bloodsucker, but as long as she was alive, you were happy.
Paul eventually made his way to the other side of the bed, kissing every exposed inch of you, whispering all the things he loved about you in your ear until you fell asleep.
When your heartbeat slowed down and he was sure you were out, he reached down and felt the velvet box in his pocket. No doubt in his mind about the future you both held.

Youngest Shadow- Confirming Us
Tumblr media

Bella stands by me, getting herself ready for what she’s about to do. It’s the end of the school day and I suck in a deep breath for her. I can not believe she’s actually going through with this.
She starts walking towards the Cullen’s. She makes eye contact with Edward and he immediately gets the message but Rosalie grabs his arm. Bella already disappeared in the trees that bordered the school property. Rosalie says something to him but Alice shakes her head and removes her hand, also speaking. I obviously can’t hear them from here.
Biting the dead skin off my bottom lip nervously I try my best not to cough. Of course I’m still sick, not as bad as yesterday but still up there. Just without the fever.
I watch Edward finally get away from his foster siblings and go to my sister. It feels like my breathing has been shortened. I have a feeling he won’t do anything to her but there’s always a thought in the back of my mind.
“Hey, you okay?” I turn and it was just Angela. “Hm?” I raise a brow. “Oh I was just asking if you’re okay. Since you were pretty sick yesterday.” She smiles, putting her hand on my back causing me to shutter. “I’m better, still sick.” I look away to cough. Her touch makes my chest squeeze and I don’t notice the two staring at me from across the lawn. Or at least I act like I don’t.
“Aw, I’m sorry.” She pouts moving her hand to my shoulder and I nervously laugh. “It’s okay, did you find your prom dress?” I change the subject, her eyes light up in response. “Yes I did. Did you? I wasn’t able to ask since you were so bad yesterday.” She takes her hand back and I felt like a corset was being taken off and I could actually breathe again. “Ah, that’s amazing. I don’t know if I’m going.” I shrug.
She takes my hand and that one feeling comes back. “You have to it will be so fun. And since we don’t have Bella coming we need at least one Swan sister to come.” She tries to convince me. That sentence throws me the wrong way though, I know she didn’t intend it to but I don’t know.
“We could even match colors. My dress is like light pink.”
“I mean if you’d like me to I will.” I tell her with a small smile. “Light pink is such a good choice.” Another voice rings to my right side and both of us jump from the person. I mentally curse once I see who it is. “Oh, um… thank you Alice.” Angela grins at the other girl as I glare at her.
“So, [Name] how’d you sleep last night?” She turns to me and my lips press together angrily. Angela seems confused.
“What an odd question to ask.” I say through my teeth.
“Really? I just wanted to make sure it was nice since Jasper and I left before you woke up.” She sweetly says, my eyes widen.
“I slept fine.” I roll my eyes.
“That’s good! Angela? That’s your name right? I’m going to steal [Name] here for a second.” She doesn’t even let the girl answer nor give me the chance to deny. Taking my arm and dragging me away. I look back at Angela apologetically.
She waves me goodbye, furrowing her eyebrows as she was just as confused as me.
We get into a car where I’m in the backseat, Jasper was in the driver seat. “What was that!?” I pull away from her, my face scrunched with anger.
“Shh.” She tells me and I grunt as I push myself backwards on the seat. “Is this a fucking AA or something? Here to tell each other secrets?” I cross my arms.
“Why are you so mad at us, darling?” Jasper turns to look at me.
“Why are you so obsessed with me?” I rebuttal.
“Well, you obviously know what we are is that your reason?” He ignores what I had just said. “No I’m just- I’m confused!” I exclaim.
“You’re both together, in a relationship. Immortal I might add that I am not. What do you want from me?”
Their gazes soften. “[Name], you’re our missing piece. You’re ours. You have been for years we only now found you.” Alice tells, still smiling. I think back to my dream.
Their missing piece…
“You still aren’t answering me correctly. Give me an explanation, a good one that doesn’t sound like you’re crazy!” I exasperated.
“I’m some missing piece, whatever! But why me? You don’t know me!” I hold myself trying not to get emotional from how overwhelmed I feel.
“We know more than you think, love.” Jasper says, i glance over to him, motioning for him to keep talking.
“We’ve had this feeling for years, we knew you as humans, [Name]. Years and years ago. You’re the one who would get through our fingers. Your past lives have popped up. And they will continue to do so until you fall for us. You won’t remember until you-“ he cuts himself off, Alice’s eyes bored onto me. “You won’t remember.”
I sit there for a minute in complete silence.
Then I start laughing. “Okay I played into this for a little bit. I actually believed it, I believed my sister too! Is this some sort of prank or something?” I shake my head. “This is good, really. You had me. But knock it off.” I go to open the door but it won’t open.
“Hey, let me out.” I play with the handle and the two just sit there. “I said let me out.” I order, now using to hands.
“[Name],” Alice goes to touch me but I go up against the door. “Don’t touch me.” I smack her away from me and a shock goes through my arm. I gasp not only from how cold she is, even though I already know she is. But something actually shocked me. Not a normal metal shock but like a taser went through my arm.
“We’re telling the truth.” Jasper says lowly, I just scoff.
“Okay, sure and I’m a fucking werewolf. Do you know how crazy this sounds!?” I throw my hands into the air.
“Yes, yes we know.” Alice sadly replied.
“I want proof.” I simply say. “I want to see the speed shit or whatever.”
They look between each other, nodding.
“We can do that but we have to go to an excluded place. Do you trust us enough?” Alice asks me. I sit there for a moment.
“Sure.”
“We need a yes if we leave this parking lot.”
I roll my eyes, “yes.”
And in a quick notion we’re on the road, exhilarating passed the speed limits.
I grip onto the handle above me.
Then we come to a stop, we’re in the forest. “We gotta do some walking.” Jasper warns me, I just nod.
He finally unlocks the child lock he had put on and I get out. I leave my backpack inside the vehicle. Alice and Jasper stand next to me on either side. We start up on this hike trail. We walk in silence. None of us tried to start up a conversation.
“Watch your step.” Jasper warns me and even with that warning I somehow trip. Luckily I don’t fall. My face warms up in embarrassment. They don’t say anything, don’t even crack a smirk or anything. Sort of making me feel better about it.
Then Jasper starts going off trail and I stop in place. “What are you doing?”
“Excluded place, remember, Darling?” Jasper reminds me, I look around trying to think of a way to get out of this. “Right.” I whisper, realizing there isn’t going to be one. I buried my own grave here.
“I’ll be right behind you to make sure you don’t fall.” Alice tells me, trying to reassure me.
I don’t acknowledge what she said, just following Jasper.
It was long until we get to this small spot. “No one’s around.” Alice tells Jasper who nods shortly.
My nerves start rising, I play with the sleeves of my sweater.
“Okay do you have anything else to ask?” Jasper asks and I shake my head. “Just do the speed shit.” I tell trying not to sound panicked but that doesn’t work.
He snickers and Alice stands next to him. Then he’s gone and I feel a tap on my shoulder. When I turned he was gone again. I look straight and Alice was gone too. A tap on my back this time and they’re both behind me. I squint at them and then Jasper is gone again. Now hanging on a tree branch.
Alice grins.
He jumps down, it was a high branch so I gasp. Almost going to run to him but he stands with perfect posture.
“Do you believe it now?” Alice teases me, my mouth opens to speak but nothing comes out. “I… I um”
“Are you scared?” Jasper questions me, going back next to his lover.
“Would you be in my position?”
The two laugh. “Yeah, we would.” Alice sighs.
“Well, oddly enough I’m not. I want to know more.” I tell them.
And for the next few days that’s what we do. I learn more about them.
Barely passing by Bella but we both subconsciously knew that each other got our answers.
And with learning about them came.. loving them. Both of them. I never thought I’d be with two people- vampires?
I guess no one thinks they will be with a vampire.
I knew I’d be in a relationship no one would understand in my family. Like being with a woman most likely. But in this odd polyamory love affair I would’ve never guessed.
They were gentle with me. Like a doll.
“Jasper usually has trouble around humans. That’s why he kind of looks like he’s in pain. But with you. It’s like you’re one of us. We still have to treat you with fragile care. Nonetheless you’re made for us.” Alice grins, holding my hand as we walked together on that same trail. Jasper had to help Rosalie and Emmett with something so he couldn’t join us today.
“Do you think there’s something with my blood?” I look at her and she gives me a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“Well you guys drink blood. What’s so different about mine?”
She breaks out into a small laugh. “Nothings different it’s just how we are with you. It’s been like that in all of your lifetimes. It’s how we know it’s you. Well we normally know because you always look the same. Same first name too.” She explains, my mouth going into the form of an ‘o’.
“You’re cute.” She gently bumps into me.
And no matter how many times I ask them about my past lives, about how I acted they never answered.
Always saying “you’ll find out when you do.”
It was very frustrating.
“I can see into the future, visions. I can see what a persons up to at this very moment. The future can change though. It’s not always accurate.” Alice tells me and I raise an eyebrow.
“Did you know about Bella and your brother before they came about?” I tilt my head.
“Sort of. I didn’t want to pry.” She says. “Can you do anything special?” I turn to Jasper.
“I can manipulate your emotions. Sort of like an empathetic person. I feel your emotion instead of you.” He explains.
I tilt my head, wanting to know more.
“How come you didn’t do that to me when I was angry with you guys?”
“I didn’t want to have this relationship based off of me manipulating you. I wanted you to feel everything, think for yourself. Make your choice. You’re worth waiting a million years for.” He takes me hand like Alice is but takes it up and kisses it.
I smile to myself, glancing down at the ground.
“We want you to come over and meet everyone.” Alice suddenly says.
“Your sister will be there too.” She adds.
I blink a few times, my chest tightening. “Uh… are you sure?”
“Of course.” Jasper chimes in.
And I felt like throwing up.
The thought of meeting their family made my heart thump quicker than normal.
“Okay… I’ll do it if my sister is there.”
“Great, we will pick you up tomorrow.”
Today I brought my motorcycle myself this time. So I drove home myself. And getting there Jacob and Billy stood outside talking to my dad. Well Billy sat in the car as Jacob was going to get out. I’m guessing to take out the wheelchair.
Getting off my bike, I take my helmet off as I walked over to them. “Hey, squirt!” My dad shouts over to me and I wave.
“Hey guys!” I smile. Jacob comes over and pulls me into a hug. Billy was a bit standoffish but he smiles and greets me as well.
Jacob walks away and goes to set up the wheelchair, Billy gets himself up to sit in it.
That’s when Bella gets dropped off by Edward, Billy and him make eye contact and Billy seemed nervous.
Okay this chapter is a little shorter than normal. I had some things happen so I’ve been busy. But I’m hoping to have two chapters out on Sunday.
And a few requests done.

Forks, Washington was under a near constant cover of rain. You were aware of it when you woke up in the morning, prepared to see the dreary weather that greeted you through the window. You could smell the rain on the pavement before it came, see it in the clouds as they hovered above. You were always prepared for it, always ready for it.
Today, the sun was out. Summer usually calls for something more temperate. You found that those days weren’t necessarily unwelcome, but never your favorite. Everyone went outside when it was sunny. You could see people you hadn’t seen in ages. You never made an effort to see them in the first place for a reason. There was an uncharacteristic amount of skin showing. It may only be mid 70s but everyone suddenly acted like the ocean water was a relief to their burning skin.
You sweat easily, especially in the diner. The Lodge had little to no air conditioning and the sun brought people in droves. Everyone wanted a bite to eat. They all remembered the diner had milkshakes. It was never a great mix for a waitress.
You turned the corner on your heel, giving a quaint smile to Cora, your coworker. She looked like she was going to melt away.
“Do you think anyones gonna leave early today?” she asked quietly behind the counter. You shook your head. She had the coffee pot in her hand and was holding it tightly so it didn’t spill. You looked around the packed diner, laughter bubbling from sections where it normally was silent. You shook your head, giving her a sad look.
“We’re in for one.”
“I should’ve called out,” she muttered. “You should’ve called out. This place needs us.” You shook your head.
“You’ve gotta put food on the table,” you reminded her. She had a kid who was going into middle school. You had met her when Cora brought her in, her headphones stuck in her ears and reading some trashy teen novel.
“Always the voice of reason,” she muttered. “Plus, you gotta pay tuition.”
“Don’t remind me.”
You were going to college in Seattle but always worked the summers back in Forks. You loved the little town despite its insanity. You found that most of it was quiet, even on louder days. Plus, it was always easy to find a job back home. You were practically shoved the waitress apron when you returned this summer. You had been doing it since you graduated high school, always trying to find something to keep yourself occupied. You were coming upon your senior year in college and the extra money helped immensely.
“Hey, your boyfriends here,” Cora teased. She pushed herself off the counter to refill someone’s coffee cup. You furrowed your brows in confusion even though you knew exactly who she meant.
You watched as chief of police Charlie Swan walked through the doors with a clink of the bell above his head. He met your eyes and gave you an awkward half wave, which you returned slightly more enthusiastically. He walked up to the counter, squeezing between the people sitting there. Someone said hello to him and he gave them a nod in acknowledgment.
“You guys are busy today huh?” he questioned, scoffing.
“Just a bit,” you admitted. His presence never ceased to bring butterflies to your stomach. Maybe you were harboring a small/not so small crush on the sheriff but you tried your best not to show it. You assured Cora it was just something silly for you to feel as you passed through your work day. Still, her eyes lingered on yours as she went around the counter to greet someone else because she knew you were busy. “It’s the sun.”
“Brings out all the loonies,” he said.
“I imagine you’re busy out there too.” He was always scanning around to make sure no one was doing anything wrong. His eyes flicked from you to the people beside him, then back to you.
“Taking my 15.”
“Just to see lil ol me?” you teased. Even as the words left your mouth you felt self conscious of them. This time though, he gave a half smile.
“You make the best coffee I’ve ever had,” he promised. You tried not to get flustered.
“Well, it looks like you need a double today, Sheriff.”
“Charlie, how many times do I have to tell you?” You rolled your eyes. He leaned against the diner counter even though there were no seats. You turned around, every other table lost in your mind. Cora would help you out until he left.
“Well Charlie, it might be too hot for a hot coffee. You could’ve gone to one of those fancy coffee shops,” you offered, grabbing a coffee pot.
“Yeah, can you imagine me ordering there? I have a hard enough time with you.”
“I think I get what you mean by now,” you joked. You poured him a cup and grabbed three sugars and two creams. “Anything else?”
“You always this quick with your service?” he questioned, looking at the people down the line who hadn’t gotten their food.
“I’m just the coffee girl with a pretty smile. I don’t control the food orders.” You handed him a stirring stick as he opened his sugar packets. “Plus, you’re the chief of police Charlie. I don’t wanna get arrested.” He chuckled, a real genuine laugh.
“I think I’ll let you off for this one.” You smiled at your success. The laugh was guaranteed to be the highlight of your shift.
“Thanks Charlie.” You turned back to the kitchen which was starting to call things out. “Anything else?”
“No ma’am.” He grabbed some cash out of his wallet. “Keep the change.”
“You’re my favorite customer Charlie,” you joked at his more than generous tip of 100%. He did a little salute with his finger and raised the cup to you.
“Go do your job otherwise you’re bound to get more angry customers than I am.”
You nodded once and bowed out of the conversation gracefully. You grabbed the food from behind you and started to bring it out. Cora gave you a look as you passed her, the smile plastered on your face a clear tell of your conversation.
“Peach cobbler,” you said to one of your regulars. She was a small old lady who always came in on Saturdays, at exactly the same time. You enjoyed talking with her and catching up on her life. She got the same thing each time and the consistency was something you appreciated. “Sorry it’s been slower today Miss. Heidi. The heat has the whole of Forks out!” She shook her head, brushing you off.
“No worries at all,” she assured you. “It’s not like I’m not gonna come back.” You shared in her shaky laughter. She picked up her fork just as you were about to leave and pointed it at Charlie. “You making heart eyes at the chief over there sweetheart?” You flushed immediately. Maybe you weren’t so great at hiding it.
“Maybe. But keep your mouth shut Heidi,” you whispered with a smile. She chuckled. Her eyes lingered on Charlie who was finishing his coffee already. He had started a conversation with the man beside him. Charlie seemed to know everyone in town.
“Aren’t you a little young for him?” You rolled your eyes.
“It’s perfectly constenting and legal,” you assured her. “I’m plenty older than his daughter if that’s what you’re gonna say.”
“I was gonna mention.” Her eyes wrinkled at the edges, shaking her head. Her movements didn’t feel like she was disagreeing with you. More so that she was gossiping with a friend, just girls being girls. “He had his heart broken by her mother, you know. He’s a good man.”
“Is that your consent Heidi? Because I don’t even know if he feels the same way.” Your voice was lighthearted. She grabbed your hand, her saggy skin feeling comforting.
“I wouldn’t worry too much sweetheart.” You scrunched your face a little and shook off her words. You were still on the clock.
“Enjoy your peach cobbler Heidi.”
-
You brushed your hair out of your face. The sun had finally subsided for the evening, giving way for the clouds. You embraced their presence, appreciating the way that the cool air felt on your overworked skin. Cora was still hanging around after her shift, waiting for her husband to come pick her up. You sat on the back steps of The Lodge, watching the trees sway.
“The air feels so crisp,” you muttered.
“You say the weirdest things,” she grumbled, laughing. She was leaning against the building. “It’s the trees.”
“I know.” You were going to leave right after work and finally drive back home but you needed a moment to sit and enjoy the day. It had been a long shift. Cora and you were officially trauma bonded.
“How was the chief?”
“Good,” you promised. “Sweet.”
“A guy can be sweet and catch criminals?”
“He’s assertive,” you argued. When Cora laughed she did it with her whole chest.
“Honey, you’re down bad.” You rolled your eyes and stood up. Cora’s eyes followed you as you did so, turning back to the door inside the diner. “You’re goin back into that hellhole?”
“Forgot my phone,” you said. “Also, I am not. It’s a work crush. I’m entitled to one! Just like you like the produce guy!”
“I do not like the produce guy. I think he’s hot. Big difference!” You rolled your eyes as you opened the door back inside. The heat hit you again, unpleasantly. You had to weave through the cooks to get back to the front. You couldn’t remember when you had put your phone down. You were making a phone call during your break. Maybe you had left it on hte steps outside after all?
“Hey Jerry?!” you called to the cook in the back.
“What?!”
“You seen my phone?”
“No! All I’ve seen are burgers!” You rolled your eyes harder this time and dipped underneath the counter to see if you had put it with the sugars and stuff. You let out an annoyed groan when it wasn’t there.
You turned too quick and ran right into the closing waitress. She was holding a hot pot of coffee and effectively spilled it all over you. You gasped involuntarily, the feeling of scorching coffee seeping through your clothes. The gasp turned into a seethe as you packed up. You could hear her speaking, the high pitched, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” reverberating off your eardrums. You had dropped coffee on yourself before. All you could think of was that you needed a towel and some cold water.
You turned on a dime and walked back to the kitchen. You turned on the sink back there and fumbled your hand around for a towel to use.
“Jerry, towel,” you mumbled, the burning skin now setting into a tingle. He turned his head around and saw you. He started to fumble around. You walked in front of him to grab the towel and just barely lost your balance, causing your hand to fly up onto the table.
Right onto the stove.
This time you yelped. The coffee was already forgotten as there was now more of an issue at hand.
“Woah dollface!” Jerry exclaimed. He grabbed your wrist because you were just staring at your red hand. You had put your entire palm down. You looked up at him, tears staining your eyes from pain, and he brought you over to the sink.
“Oh fuck,” you groaned as he put it under the cold water. It didn’t subside any pain, just added another sensation. “Jerry that hurts!”
“Hey Y/N, I have your phone in my apron.” Cora came through the door to witness you breathing heavily next to the sink, Jerry the cook practically holding you down.
“She burned her hand on the stove,” he explained.
“She spilled coffee on me,” you blubbered childishly. You could feel all your body parts at once, like you were on fire. You had no brain power to say anything else.
“Oh Jesus,” Cora muttered. She rushed forward, grabbing your wrist to look at it. “You gotta get this checked out honey.” You gave her a somber looking face. “I know, I know. I’ll take you. Where’s your car keys?” You reached in your apron with your non burnt hand. It was soaking wet from the coffee.
“Is she okay?” the waitress asked, sticking her head through the window.
“She burned her hand on the stove,” Jerry said.
“She what?!”
Cora put her hand on your back, leading you out the door. You took deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. You were fine. You were gonna be fine.
“I’ll be okay,” you whispered. “You have to g-”
“I’ll have Steven do it,” she said. Her husband. You gave her a look of pure thankfulness as she helped you into the passenger seat of her car.
“I really don’t have to go to the hospital over this,” you tried to say.
“I know you don’t. But I think it’s safer than waiting.” You put your head against your headrest.
-
Cora dragged you by your free arm to the front desk. She was the one who gave your name and your information as you stood beside her, holding your hand. You looked like a mess, given the coffee all over you. You were sure this could all just be fixed by some water and ointment from the store but Cora insisted.
She rambled on about how a family member hadn’t gone in for a burn and it ended up being more severe then they thought, damaging below the skin. Her words were not comforting.
Eventually they called you back to be looked at. You sat on an exam table with a thin paper on top. A nurse had come in to check on you and give you something for your hand while you waited for the doctor.
You were in a row of beds. Cora pulled the curtains aside to give you privacy.
“I really don’t think that’s necessary,” you said.
“They don't get to know all your business. HIPAA or whatever.” You squinted.
“I don’t think-”
“Ladies.” Carlisle Cullen stepped through the curtain at the open side. He was holding a clipboard, a charming smile plastered on his face. Your breath hitched at the sight of him. He was gorgeous. “Y/N, I hear you burned your hand.” You nodded.
“And her chest,” Cora muttered. She must have noticed Carlisle’s looks as well. Or maybe she just noticed your reaction to him. You cleared your throat.
“I had coffee spilled on me.”
“No, you should check it out. It’s bad.” You gave a look. Carlisle’s smile remained, shaking his head. You had heard of him but never had a reason to come out and see him. You wouldn’t even call this a valid reason.
“Sounds like an awful case of bad luck.” You nodded. “Can I take a look?” He sat on a spinny chair and pulled it towards you. You extended your hand to him.
“I’m gonna go call Steven,” she said to you. You nodded. She patted your back, her eyes lingering on your doctor even as she left. Carlisle held your hand in his, gently looking it over. You looked down at him.
“A stove did this?”
“Yeah. It was dumb,” you promised. “I lost my balance looking for a rag for the coffee burn.”
“And that’s okay?” You nodded.
“I think. I mean, my hand feels way worse,” you assured him.
“Your friend seems to think otherwise.”
“Cora’s dramatic by nature.” He laughed gently.
“Well the stove fought back.” He wheeled backwards towards the table beside your bed. “It looks like second degree burns on your hand. I’ll send you home with some ointment for it and you’ll wanna wrap it up so that you don’t get it caught on your clothes or anything.” You nodded. “I’ll wrap it for you first, show you how to do it.”
“Thank you.”
“Of course.” He stood up and fumbled in the desks drawer. “Are you sure you don’t want me to check on the coffee burns?” He glanced back at you. You looked down at your shirt. It had mostly gotten your stomach. You could still feel pain there, probably driven by the fact you never got to clean it off.
“If you think it’ll help?”
“Stomach burns are interesting just because of their placement. It’s harder to wrap them. I think it would be beneficial for me to make sure they’re only first degree, if anything.” You nodded. You would listen to him read the phone book.
“Okay.” He walked back over. Before even touching your shirt he made eye contact with you.
“Only if you’re comfortable. I can wait till your friend comes back if you want me to.” You shook your head.
“I’m okay!” you promised. You cleared your throat and grabbed the hem of your shirt. You carefully lifted it up over your torso, holding it just above the wet spot. Carlisle’s eyes went down to your body.
“You said the hand hurt more?”
“By far.”
“Can I touch you?” Please. You cleared your throat again.
“Sure.” He put an icy hand on your hip, lightly brushing your burn with his thumb.
“How much does that hurt? Scale one to ten?”
“Five.” He applied more pressure.
“Now?”
“Seven. Your hands are really cold, which could be worsening the effects,” you joked. He chuckled, his lips turning up a bit.
“Sorry about that.” He backed up a bit. You put your shirt back down. “Those are first degree burns. It only hit in some spots. Should feel numb or touchy for a couple days. You can put the ointment there too but you shouldn’t have to wrap it up.”
“The hand needs it.”
“The hand needs it,” he agreed. He had put some stuff on the counter, which he now took in his hands. He squeezed something out a bottle and put a bit of it on his finger, taking your hand back in his. “Let me know if the pressure is too much.”
You watched him, your free hands fingers curled under the bed you were sitting on. He gently covered your hand, using such a light touch that it was like he was barely there.
“You’re good at this.”
“It’s my job,” he said, smiling. “Are you from out of town? I don’t think I’ve had you in here before.”
“Just lucky,” you quipped. “I go to college in Seattle too so I’m usually out there.” He nodded slowly.
“Fancy.”
“The drive back is beautiful.” He nodded slowly. His hand lingered on yours as he examined his work. “So is this town.”
“Do you work at the diner?”
“Yeah! That’s where I got this beauty.” He scooted back, grabbing the bandages.
“I think my son’s seen you there. He’s graduating high school in a year and likes his seclusion,” he explained.
“Son?” you asked.
“Edward.”
“No, I’m just stunned you have a child. You look far too young,” you said, laughing incredibly. He grinned sheepishly. You tried not to think of him being married or the lack of ring on his finger.
“He’s technically my foster son,” he described.
“I see. Do you do it all on your own?” You winced. That was aggressive. “I don’t mean to pry.” “It’s alright,” he said, shaking his head, completely cool. “Yes, they’re all under my care. I haven’t found the right one quite yet. Plus, she’d have to take on more than a couple stragglers with me.” His eyes flicked up to yours. They met for a moment longer than they should have. You had to look away.
“Sounds like a task.”
“It’s definitely not for everyone.” He tightened your bandage. “There. I’ll send you home with some of this, it’ll be sent to wherever you get your prescriptions.” He stepped back from you. “Try to be careful around stoves next time.”
“Yes sir.” He gave you one more look, a kind hearted smile and then was on his way. You followed him until he was gone out of view. You were glad he hadn’t checked your pulse because you were sure it was beating out of your chest. Cora came around the corner.
“He’s too old for you too,” she said. You laughed dryly, shaking your head. You could practically still feel his touch on your hand. So gentle.
“You’ll learn to get used to it,” you teased her. She rolled her eyes. “Were you waiting out there the whole time?”
“Wanted to give you and Doctor Dreamy some alone time.”
“You’re such a wingwoman!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell the Sheriff.”

Stay for a while - Charlie Swan (smut)
It's been a while, I missed Charlie, so @deathofpeaceofmind threw this idea my way, and I rolled with it. Please like and reblog if you enjoyed reading this, your comments keep us writers motivated!! Enjoy my loves. xxx
Summary: The reader is new to Forks, on her first day she crosses paths with the handsome Chief that instantly catches her attention. How convenient that they meet around the same time Charlie needs a date to his daughter's wedding.
Warnings: 18+, smut, piv, lots of fluff
Pairing: Charlie Swan x fem!reader (2.8k words)
Tumblr media
With her eyes focused on the road ahead, (y/n) kept humming to the song blasting from the radio, allowing the sound to fill her car. Even though her phone had stopped working a while ago, no longer able to connect with the endless-seeming forest surrounding her, she already felt awfully comfortable in her new home, excited about her new life in Forks.
Perhaps it was the fault of being so distracted by the pretty town she was driving through, perhaps it was the fault of her giddy self, unable to concentrate on anything in particular. Whatever it was, it didn’t help (y/n) find her new workplace, the diner she was supposed to work at, hoping to find her new home in this town she had never set foot in before.
With a sigh leaving (y/n), she parked her car in front of the police station, knowing they’d be able to guide her to find the diner. Her soft steps brought her closer to the building, walking up the stairs with a small smile glued to her lips. And even though she tried to keep her eyes focused ahead, (y/n) found herself bumping into something, or rather someone.
A pair of strong arms found their way around her waist, keeping (y/n) from losing her balance. Her eyes found a pair of dark ones, a colour so rich they told a story of longing, struggles, and yet a softness she was a stranger to.
“I am so sorry.” Softly (y/n) spoke the words, smiling at the man who had caught her. Chief Charlie Swan, a face she had seen on TV now and then, giving interviews about accidents that have happened in the area. (Y/n) felt a strange kind of warmth flush through her since she had always found him handsome, a face she’d think of when her thoughts got a chance to wander.
“That’s alright, don’t you worry. Can I help you, darling?” His voice shot shudders down her spine, momentarily having to avert her gaze to collect herself, unable to stop her smile from growing. The use of the nickname almost left her choking, unable to part from the man she already felt weirdly connected to.
“Uhm, yeah actually. I was trying to find The Lodge?” With the chief now standing a few feet away from her, she got the chance to properly study him, his moustache gracing his features, and that almost cheeky smile that gave the man an even friendlier demeanour. There was something about Charlie Swan she hadn’t ever seen in another man, something she couldn’t put her finger on, yet it was something that drew her to him like two magnets made to find one another.
“I’m about to drive there, if you want to I can take you with me, or you can follow my car with yours.”
……
“Morning, Charlie.” A soft smile tugged on her lips as she watched the chief step into the diner, taking off his hat to properly greet (y/n). It was her third week of working at the diner, slowly adjusting to her new surroundings, to the friendly town that had instantly taken her in with open arms, and to the friendliness of a certain chief who only seemed to treat her this warmly.
“Morning, sweetheart. How are you?” He sat down at the bar, staring at her with those eyes she found herself longing for every single morning, counting the minutes till he’d step into the diner.
“I’m alright, very much looking forward to my first free weekend.” Her words drew a chuckle from Charlie, who was intently watching her pour him a cup of coffee. She loved these mornings with him around, with only a handful of customers filling the diner. (Y/n) found herself sharing conversations about her old home, her hobbies, and her dreams and longings with Charlie.
“Do you have anything planned?” He took a sip of his black coffee, eyes glued to her features, not daring to look away for even just a moment. There was something unfamiliar binding these two together, something both of them felt, yet struggled to voice out, not wanting to overstep any boundaries.
“I wanted to drive down to First Beach, I miss the ocean.” (Y/n)’s soft chuckles drew some more from Charlie. Even though her coworkers had told her that they had never seen Charlie this relaxed and happy before, (y/n) tried not to overthink their back and forth, not wanting to dig her own grave in the new town she would live in for a while.
“I’m off duty on Saturday, I can come with you, if you want, show you around the area and introduce you to some friends.” Slowly she crossed her arms in front of her chest, unable to bite down her teasing grin.
“Does that mean you think of me as some kind of loner who has no friends of her own?” And with another heartily chuckle bubbling out of Chalie, he shook his head, murmuring something under his breath (y/n) couldn’t pick up on.
……
“How long have they been together?” (Y/n) was walking next to Charlie, arms wrapped around herself to try and shield herself from the cold wind. The waves were rolling ashore, wrapping the two in its icy yet gentle embrace.
“Not for long, but I fear this is something that will endure every struggle.” She watched a frown tug on Charlie’s features as he told her about his daughter’s upcoming wedding, clearly struggling with watching her grow up, turning from her dad to marry a man her father wasn’t the biggest fan of.
“Well, if you need extra moral support, I’ll gladly join you.” Charlie’s eyes found (y/n)’s, shooting her a soft smile with his arm slowly finding its way around her middle, pulling her to his side. Without overthinking what he was doing, Charlie pressed a kiss to her hairline, trying not to pay his racing heartbeat any attention.
“That’d be very sweet of you, but I’m sure you have better things to do.” She moved away from him, not far enough to escape his embrace, yet enough to get a good look at his handsome face, unable to read the expression tugging on his features.
“Better things? It’s a wedding, Charlie, what better things are there?” Both laughed in unison, eyes holding contact for a few more moments. He cleared his throat, looking away from (y/n) before they could give in to the pull that seemed to guide them. She kept close, her hand finding his big warm one to interlace their fingers. “I’ll make sure to keep you from murdering Edward, we’ll have fun, promise.”
……
“Let’s go for some shots before I force you to dance with me.” (Y/n) had her fingers intertwined with Charlie’s, pulling him through the crowd with her eyes set on their table, ready to sit down for a few. But before they could even get near their table, they were stopped by Bella’s call for her dad, forcing the two of them to a halt.
“Bells, this is (y/n).” So far (y/n) hadn’t gotten the chance to speak to Bella, not wanting to disturb Charlie and Bella’s moments together. She had met a few of the Cullen’s, and even Renée, instantly befriending the rather giddy woman. And yet, as much as she had tried to focus on the people Charlie had introduced her to, she could barely focus on them, eyes drawn to Charlie’s frame at every given moment.
“It’s lovely to meet you, Bella. You look absolutely stunning.” The girl shook (y/n)’s hand as her eyes kept flickering between her dad and (y/n), trying to figure out the relationship between the two. But before she could interrupt the somewhat awkward atmosphere now wrapping itself around the three, her name was called by Edward, stealing his bride away with a soft smile.
“Well, that was something. Shots?” Charlie’s raspy chuckles left (y/n) giggling, eyes not wanting to leave his relaxed features just yet. The dark suit he wore fit perfectly, making him appear even taller, paired with those dark eyes of his and the moustache she desperately wanted to feel scratching her skin. Charlie had a special kind of grasp on her body and soul, keeping (y/n) close without realising what he was doing to her.
“I guess she didn’t expect me to turn up with a woman, I only told her I’d bring a friend.” Her eyes grew a tad bit wider, tongue kissing her teeth as she pondered over his words. The alcohol flushing through her veins seemed to spur her on, guiding her towards Charlie with her arms finding their way around his neck.
“Did you just friendzone me, Chief Swan?” She was standing close, and could almost hear the uneven beat of Charlie’s heart, enjoying the way he was staring down at her, hands firmly placed on her waist. For a second, she debated kissing him, breaking through the wall he had built around himself for the past years, needing to protect his fragile heart.
“I doubt friends think about one another the way I think about you, sweetheart.” His words almost made her choke on her breath, wide eyes staring up at him as his thumb found her lower lip, slowly stroking the soft skin. Heat flushed through her, a fire so strong nothing could tame it, set on burning her to the ground. Silently she hoped that he’d close the gap between them, lips meeting hers in a slow kiss, but Charlie seemed to have other ideas, taking a step away from her.
“Seems like Bella and Edward are about to leave, let’s say goodbye.”
……
If (y/n) had known that she’d find herself pressed against Charlie’s car about an hour after saying goodbye to the newlyweds, she would have died in anticipation, unable to hold back her excitement. But now, as Charlie kissed her deeply, hands holding her thighs, forcing her further against his car, her thoughts were all over the place.
His name rumbled through her as his lips kissed their way down her throat, moustache scratching her soft skin just the way she had hoped it eventually would. Her gasps left her, rumbling through the quiet night. Both were heavily panting, riled up by their unfamiliar touches, not daring to let go of one another.
“We should move this inside before my neighbour gets a heart attack when she sees me fucking you out here.” Charlie’s words left (y/n) gasping, not expecting to hear foul words like these rolling off his tongue. A squeal tore through her as he squeezed her thighs, pulling her in for another heated kiss. For a few more seconds they kept making out, only pulling away from one another as their lungs ached for some more air, “Come.”
With his hand reaching out for (y/n) to take, Charlie pulled her towards his home, guiding her inside. The second the door fell shut, she found herself pressed against it, lips once again pressed against Charlie’s. Even though (y/n) wouldn’t admit to it out loud, she couldn’t help but thank her lucky stars for the way Charlie was touching her. She had been worried about pressuring him into doing things he wasn’t ready for just yet, but the way he was touching her now seemed to erase every single worry she had about a moment like this one.
“Let’s go upstairs, you deserve a nice mattress at least.” Charlie tried to part from her, wanting (y/n) to feel as comfortable as possible, but she only shook her head, fingers working on the zip of her dress, stepping out of the thin fabric. His pupils grew bigger once again, wandering up and down her underwear-clad frame. Slowly she walked towards the couch, murmuring a soft “I don’t want to waste any more time, Charlie”.
Within moments he had her in his lap, allowing her hands to work on the buttons of his white dress shirt, suit jacket long forgotten. Both were desperate to undress one another, desperate to feel their naked bodies intertwined, and desperate to touch the parts they kept on longing for.
“Fuck, I tried to hold back, I really did, tired to give you enough time, but it was torture not touching you these past days.” His words left her grinning, letting go of a simple “Same” as she pushed his shirt down his arms. Her fingers roamed his chest, exploring his warm skin. (Y/n) was too concentrated on his skin to pay his wandering fingers any attention, and how they undid her bra. Charlie’s groan ripped her out of her trance, letting her bra drop to the ground while she watched Charlie undo his trousers, set on fucking her right there and then.
“Charlie,” his name rolled off her tongue as if she was reciting a poem, set on expressing her adoration, set on telling him all about her feelings for him without needing to put them into words. “Fuck me, please, just fuck me.”
A gasp left (y/n) as Charlie flipped them around, grinning down at her as he now hovered over her, doing quick work on her soaked panties, pulling them down her trembling legs. The sight of her bare cunt left Charlie groaning, eyes taking in every inch of her now naked body, “You’re dripping baby, making such a beautiful mess.”
“Charlie, I need you inside of me, don’t make me wait any longer.” (Y/n)’s words dripped with desperation, eyes growing wide as he spat onto her cunt, saliva mixing with her arousal. He circled her bundle and grinned down at her as a string of curses rolled off her tongue. She was at his mercy, ready for the man she needed like a starving woman who needed her food, he was the air she was desperate to breathe, the one she’d search all earth for.
“Let me grab a condom.” He tried to rise from the couch, but (y/n) wouldn’t let him, pulling Charlie down for a messy kiss.
“I’m on the pill, I want to feel you.” Her words drew another groan from Charlie, grasping his cock to pump himself a few times, pushing into her without another warning. Both moaned in unison, eyes holding contact, not daring to look away for even just a second. He didn’t hold back, didn’t move slow, no, Charlie fucked her into the couch, high on the feeling of her clenching around him.
It had been too long for the both, no longer used to feeling this close to someone they actually enjoyed being around, and yet it felt better than ever before, more sincere, more loving, more intimate. They didn’t hold back, didn’t try to swallow their sounds, giving into every call, choking on one another’s name.
His fingertips dug into her skin, not daring to let go of her, of the way she fitted to him oh so perfectly. (Y/n) was sure that she’d forever remember this, forever remember his sounds, his touches, the way he fucked her into oblivion on his couch.
“Fuck, baby, you feel so good.” Charlie’s raspy voice left her gasping, arching her back off the couch, trembling thighs tightening their grip on his waist. This was messy, this was rough, this was everything the both of them needed. She felt him shift, felt him raise her hips off the fabric with another deep moan leaving them at the new angle.
“God, Charlie, you’re so fucking deep.” She was sure that she felt him in her stomach, fucking her deeper than she had ever been fucked before. The way she shook beneath him, breaths uneven, eyes wide, warned Charlie of her quickly arising high, about to cum on his cock, about to let go with a call of his name.
And it was the prettiest thing Charlie had ever seen, a sight so vulnerable, so beautiful, he felt himself tumbling over the edge seconds later, cumming deep inside of her. Her walls pulsed around his twitching cock, needing to hold on for as long as possible, not daring to part before both could relax, heavily panting.
“See, I told you, there’s no better thing than weddings.” Her whispered words left Charlie chuckling, forehead pressed against hers. He pulled (y/n) in for another kiss before he slowly pulled out of her, watching her make a mess on his couch with a smirk glued to his lips.
“Well, if they always end like that, I’ll have to drag you to a lot of them.”

You and Charlie had discussed trying something new in the bedroom, wanting to spice it up a little, and you had asked for him to be rougher, more dominant. You noticed he had become hesitant, not talking about it after that, so when he pulled you into the bedroom, you could say you were shocked. “Uh… Undress for me, Darlin’.” You could see he was nervous, which made your heart squeeze, thinking he felt uncomfortable.
You crawl to the end of the bed and grab his hands. “Baby, we don’t have to do this if you feel uncomfortable. I love and trust you and am happy to do whatever you feel comfortable with.” You kneel up, placing a soft kiss on his lips.
“No, no. I want to do this. I just… I’ve never done this before and don’t want to disappoint you.” You nod, bringing his hands to your lips and kissing his knuckles.
You think of a way to try and trigger his more dominant side. You slowly let go of his hands and scoot back, lying back on the bed and spreading your legs. You expose your bare cunt to your man. “Why doesn’t Daddy have a taste?” You watch as something switches inside him, and his eyes darken more than they did from looking at your glistening cunt. You squeal as his hands wrap around your ankles and pull you to the end of the bed.
“Should I, huh? Should Daddy have a taste?” He growls, watching you gulp from his words. Charlie kneels, spreading your legs even more and leaning in. His tongue immediately begins to lap against your soaking cunt. Your fingers curl against the sheets, arching your back as he feasts on you. “Such a little slut for Daddy. Who made you this wet?” He begins to rub your swollen clit, flicking and pinching it, rolling it between his fingers.
“You did, Daddy!” You whimper, and your eyes roll to the back of your head as the pleasure intensifies. “Fuck, Charlie! Feels so good!” You scream as he slaps your cunt. You stare at him with wide eyes as you throb between your legs.
“It’s Daddy, you whore. Don’t you wanna be my good girl?” You nod, whimpering as you pout. Charlie buries himself back between your legs, lapping at your folds and swollen button, sucking on it as he watches you from below. You whine as he stops. “Such a good little slut. You better fucking cum, or I will punish you.” You whine, nodding, feeling your mind become fuzzy when he continues. His lips wrap around your clit, sucking and flicking it with his tongue while he inserts his fingers, thrusting roughly and fast, curling them upwards, causing your eyes to roll to the back of your head and your juices to squirt out of you, covering him. “Good girl.”
Your eyes flutter closed, and a soft moan escapes you when you feel his hardened member enter you. His hand wraps around your throat, and he begins to pound into you, grunting in your ear. “Fuck, darlin’. You always feel so fucking amazing around me. You’re my good girl and as my good girl. You’re going to take my cum aren’t you?” You whine, nodding and gripping onto him. “Made me nearly cum just by calling me Daddy.” He lifts your hips, thrusting harder and deeper into your warm cunt before he groans and empties himself. “Shit, so good.” Charlie slowly pulls out and begins to clean you, and then he crawls into bed, pulls you close to him, and kisses the side of your head. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you too, Charlie.”

MUNDANE MORNINGS | C.S.
pairing: charlie swan x fem!reader
word count: 0.8k
warnings: the cheese is fresh, besties
summary: just some early morning domesticity before charlie goes to work
Tumblr media
“I packed you something for lunch,” you noted before taking a large sip from your coffee, placing the cup down just loud enough for the sound to hum about the quiet little room, melting away amongst the soft singing of the birds outside as you went back to buttering your muffin.
“You didn’t need to do that,” Charlie breathed from behind his newspaper, peaking around the corner when he heard you scoff at him, a teasing sound, one that declared to him that you knew him too well for his own good.
“I also didn’t need to make you breakfast,” you informed him, taking a slow bite from the piece of cheese you’d cut for your muffin before smiling teasingly at the man across from you, who was now very much interested in what you’d say next. “But heaven knows what you’d eat if I didn’t,” you shrugged and he scoffed in reply, knowing you were right, of course, but he’d not dare admit that out loud.
“I’ll have you know that I ate perfectly fine before you came along,” he argued, taking a bite of his toast and crunching away, watching your soft eyes take in the little action, hoping he was enjoying the new jam you’d brought for him at the farmer’s market over the weekend, knowing he did.
“Good?” you prompted, and he nodded too eagerly to stay on point, smiling in defeat when you giggled lightly. “I put some on your muffin for lunch too.”
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he concurred and he could hardly believe how natural the whole exchange felt, seeing you in his dress shirt, sitting cross-legged on his dining room chair getting all excited over making him lunch and buying him special things you knew he loved but wouldn’t fuss to get- it was as if you were perfectly in place, his place, his home- he couldn’t even remember what mornings were like without you and he was ever grateful that he might not have to experience them again in the near future.
“You’re welcome, bear,” you shrugged again, allowing yourself to get lost in thought as you sipped at the last bit of your coffee, not knowing that Charlie was appreciating the little moments you spent together in the mornings just as much as you were.
“Can I help clean up before I go?” he asked, forcing you to pay attention with an almost shy smile, folding his newspaper into a crooked square and standing up to get his jacket when you shook your head. “How about we cook together tonight?”
“You’ll be home early?”
“I’m going to try my hardest,” he immediately picked up on the excitement you were trying your very hardest to hide, jumping up from the table to bring his lunch over to him, not even thinking before helping him with the collar of his jacket. “You going to stay here for the day?”
“Would that be okay?”
“More than okay,” he shrugged and before he knew it you were busy again, fingers moving quickly to fix his tie, and then his badge and you were just about to slip a hand into his hair when he caught you. “If you’re done fussing, can you give your old man a kiss?”
“I’m not fussing,” you argued, rolling your eyes as you pecked his lips, trying to pull away but not standing a chance as his grip on your waist held you in place, a few more kisses being stolen before he breathed out lowly.
“You’re fussing,” he confirmed with a little wink before letting you go, taking the brown bag from your fingers before walking to the door, turning back to get a glimpse of the dazed little stare he was sure to see. “See you tonight.”
“See you tonight,” you mimicked, and Charlie lingered, hand on the door but making no move to try and leave, in a daze of his own as he daringly looked you over once again, having to convince himself to leave when a sight so perfect was right there waiting for him. “Go,” you giggled, kissing his bicep in the process of gently shoving him out the door, watching from the doorway as he walked slowly to his car, mumbling to himself.
You stood there in a dreamlike state, swaying from your heels to your toes, holding your breath as he drove away and with one last wave you released a content sigh.

Moving to forks, where it would rain all the time was something to get used to, even tho I spent the summer here all the time it was still hard to leave my mom and all my friends. For Bella tho, it was harder to adjust, she hadn't been back in a while and what made it even worse for her was that she and our dad didn't have a really good relationship.
Tho my dad could be really awkward, he wasn't around me. Maybe it's because we have a lot in common or it could be because I just don't let things get awkward. I always have something to talk about.
The only other person I knew in forks other than my dad was my childhood best friend Jacob, who I would always spend the summer with. As kids, we were already insertable and it broke the both of us when I packed up and left.
Jacob was over-excited when he heard about me moving back, though when I was gone me and Jacob would still call a lot, always keeping in touch. But over the last few months before we moved back to forks, we had started to drift apart but the day we got there it was like I hadn't left.
Since Jacob went to school on the reservation I ended up not knowing anyone on my first day. This was one of the first times I was happy to have a twin, thus meaning I didn't have to walk the halls alone or eat lunch alone.
It was weird being the new girls. In such a small town where everyone knew everyone, we both stood out. The second we stepped out of the truck all eyes were on us. Yet another thing I forgot to worry about.
But after the first two classes, I was grateful to see my twin's face amongst the crowd. She motioned me over, only then did I see the unfamiliar faces she was sitting with.
I didn't pay much mind to her newfound friends, only did I snap out of my daze when they mentioned the Cullens who I had already heard about in one of my classes. They were the talk of the school until we got here.
Right when I got paired up with Emmit for a project in my history class I knew something was off with him. The first thing I noticed was how pale the boy was, un-normally pale. And maybe he was just a history buff with the way he knew all the answers before looking them up, which didn't seem like he was the type.
But to my surprise, there were more of them. All the same amount of pale.
"Damn talk about pale," I muttered to Bella when the whole pack of Cullens walked through the door. She only nodded in agreement but her eyes wouldn't leave the last boy who had come in alone, Edward they said his name was.
I could already tell my twin was attracted to him but it didn't look one-sided. I could see the way his eyes kept finding hers during lunch, and if I was being honest I didn't like the boy. He seemed too pale to be real.
I had Engish with the boy and of course, the teacher had to sit me next to him. It seemed like in every class there was a Cullen and every time I got either paired up with one or I had to sit next to one. Good thing was he didn't pay me much mind, which I was more than grateful for. As much as I love talking, the one thing I hated was when I met someone who liked it as much as I did. Which so happened to be his brother Emmit.
And this was how the days were most of the time, weeks passed and Bella seemed to talk more and more with the Cullen boy. Every day after school she would tell me the whole story of how they talked about the weather in class, no detail was left in the dust. I knew more about the boy than probably most of the people at school.
And every day I dreaded history class. The one class where Emmit would talk my ear off, and every time I would get the chance to talk, the boy would interpret me or talk over me. This made me hate the Cullen family more and more. The only time I was free of his voice was when I finally got home.
Bella would stay in most nights, talking with mom while I was out with Jacob. I would tell him all about Bella's crush on the Cullen boy and all about how Emmit was driving me crazy which Jacob always found really amusing. But when I was with Jacob I forgot all about my problems that weren't even problems at all, he was like my other half. And even tho Jacob loved to talk as much as I did, for some reason it never bothered me.
Even tho Jacob would tell me about everything that happened in his life, one thing he never shared was how he felt for my sister. I saw the way he always asked for her, the way he would look at her whenever they met, it was obvious. And even as smart as Bella was, she never saw it.
But how could she when her eyes were only on one pale Cullen. And as much as I wanted to bring up that topic, I never did. I knew that if I brought it up Jacob would only grow those feelings inside. So I never voiced it.
Tho I had my own truck, I would always end up driving with Bella. She was a better and safer driver than I was, I had already gotten so many speeding tickets and half of those had been from my dad. Instead of taking my drivers away like a normal cop, he ended up taking my truck away until I was more responsible. As much as I hated it, I also didn't mind spending that extra time with my sister.
"You know pale face over there won't notice you here unless you go and talk to him," I said to Bella from inside the driver seat, door wide open. She looked up from the book in her hands and narrowed her eyes.
"I don't care if he notices me or not. I like reading out here,"
"Right," I scoffed. "You like reading out in the freezing cold while standing in the lot with a bunch of loud teenagers," I said shaking my head when she rolled her eyes. But nonetheless, I let her do what she wanted, even if that meant getting sick just so a guy would notice her.
"Shit," I muttered, ducking my head trying to stay out of sight. Bella looked back, trying to see who I was hiding from.
"Who are you trying to avoid?" She asked, turning her head back to me.
"Emmit. He's been starting to talk to me outside of class and it's driving me crazy," Bella let out a small laugh, she knew all about my hatred for the boy, and just like Jacob, she found it amusing.
"I think he sees you," She laughed as Emmit started waving his hands and motioning me over. I groaned, hitting my head on the driver's seat before I got out of the truck and slowly made my way over to the buff boy.
"What?"
"Hello to you too," He smiled, shaking his head in amusement. "I just wanted to talk to you about the project due next week. If we want to get it finished on time we have to start doing it after school," My face paled, and overwhelming dread started to fill me.
"Maybe if we just do more in class-" I started but he cut me off.
"Still won't be enough time. Looks like you'll be coming over Friday Swan," He ruffled my hair, making me slap his hand away. The scowl on my face only made him laugh.
I turned and angrily walked away, grumbling to myself about how I got into this mess in the first place. If anything the reason we were behind was because of his none stop yapping.
All the anger vanished in my body when I heard the screeching of tires. I jerked my head up, spotting a black van which was speeding through the parking lot.
Bella with her head still stuffed in her book didn't hear the van that was making its way toward her. The only explanation for her deafness was probably that both of her earbuds were in.
Not even thinking twice I raced after my sister, screaming her name but it did no use, the van was too close. I could hear Emmit calling me back but I ignored him. Fear made my heart start pounding in my chest, so loud I could feel it in my ears.
I managed to make it to the other side of the truck, my hands ended up grabbing onto the box of the truck, stopping me in my place. As I was about to race to the other side, someone beat me to it. Like a flash, Edward had made it toward Bella before the van hit.
Confusion and fear hit me all at once when the boy pushed the speeding van away from Bella, making it slam into the side of the truck, most likely leaving a dent. But the place Bella was and the place where she was supposed to get hit was fine, no scratch.
Bella's eyes went wide as she looked at Edward, terrified and confused. His hand that was around her waist slowly slipped away as he got up, his eyes meeting mine before he ran off again. As Bella followed him with her eyes I glanced back at the Cullens who were all staring at the scene shocked.
I tore my gaze away and rushed toward my sister who was slowly taking her earbuds out of her ears, wide eyes meeting mine as I fell down in front of her. I felt down her arms and stomach, trying to see if anything was broken.
"Are you okay?" I asked, worry laced in my voice.
"Y/N–Edward," But before she could finish her sentence we both got flooded with students, all asking the same thing. My brows were furrowed as I stood up, eyes connecting with all of the Cullens as they all stared at me. Bella saw it too.
Tumblr media
I sat in the waiting room of the hospital, playing with my fingers as I waited for my sister's checkup to be done. My mind was still playing the scene over and over again in my head, wondering if I had just imagined things. Did I hit my head? No, I couldn't have.
"Y/N?" I heard that all too familiar voice say. I didn't look up, hoping it was my mind playing games with me but when the boy sat down in front of me, dread again filled my body.
I lifted my head, eyes meeting his brown ones. I raised my eyebrows in a way of telling him to get to the point. He tried to hold back his smile, shaking his head like he always did whenever he found me amusing. But before he got to his point I cut in.
"What the hell is with your brother? Does he have some type of superhuman speed or something because that shit that he did only happens in the movies," Emmit was taken aback by my sudden outburst, opening his mouth to say something but again I cut in.
"And don't you dare say I imagined it or that I hit my head. It's two against one buddy, Bella saw it too. So you better tell me what the hell is going on because it's really fracking me out-"
"Whoa, easy there," He looked concerned now, his hands reaching out to me but after a moment of looking at the look on my face, he pulled his hands back. "How about when you come over on Friday I explain everything, yeah?"
After a moment of me staring at him, my eyes narrowing and my breathing calming down, I nodded. A small "Fine," Coming out of my mouth. I noticed Jacob making his way down the hall, looking around, trying to find the right room.
I excused myself and speed-walked toward Jacob. His eyebrows furrowed as I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into an empty hallway, away from Emmit.
"You know people say hi now instead of grabbing them like in the cave days," He said, making me roll my eyes.
"Something weird happened today," I started, ignoring Jacobs's comment. "When I got to the truck I saw something," My eyes went wide. "Something not normal-"
"What?" Jacob interrupted, getting impatient.
"I saw Edward Cullen, run towards Bella and like push the van away," I explained, motioning with my hands. "But he was like really fast, like first he was on one side of the lot and the next thing I knew he was by Bella," Jacob blinked, a smile soon forming.
"Very funny Y/N," He laughed. "Right, he pushed the van away," He said, using air quotes. I scoffed, blinking as I shook my head. But every time I tried to say something he would cut in before I got the chance. "I'm not stupid Y/N, you've tried this on me before,"
"What, no I'm telling the truth-"
"Yeah right," He pushed my face away, laughing.
"No Jacob-" Jacob cut me off by putting his whole hand over my face, he was looking behind me. I slapped his hands away as I turned around, only to see Bella talking with the famous Cullen boy himself.
"What do you think they're talking about?"
"Probably about how he pushed a whole van away from her,"
"No actually, cause he looks pretty pissed,"
"Yeah I would be too if I'd been found out-"
"Oh my god Y/N he didn't push a van away," I turned towards him, pointing my finger in his face.
"You weren't there,"
"Yeah and I still don't believe your bullshit story,"
"It's not bullshit-"
"Y/N, let's go," My dad said, motioning me over.
"You better stop reading your daughter superhuman stories cause she's believing them," I hit Jacobs's shoulder, making him wince.
"Ow," Meanwhile a curtain Cullen overheard what Jacob had said, stopping on the spot only to turn around and place his eyes on Y/N, who was arguing with Jacob, while her dad was pulling the two apart.
Tumblr media
The next day thankfully was a Saturday, since my dad still wouldn't give me back my truck I ended up dragging Jacob with me to a library. Ever since that whole thing happened with Edward I was starting to get more and more curious on how he got like that. Super strength and speed weren't normal, and I also knew what I saw, even tho Jacob kept telling me the opposite.
After sighing out almost everything that was supernatural and had the power of strength and speed I went back to Jacobs's place. I had told my dad I was spending the night so this way I could do research for the whole night.
I had made myself a place on the floor, sitting on a fur blanket and one of Jacobs's hoodies that I stole from his closet, the nights here were always freezing. And since his dad wasn't gonna be back today we were both in the living room.
I had my books and laptop on the coffee table, already halfway through the fourth book while writing down notes on my laptop. And with the fireplace lit it made it really cozy.
Jacob tho didn't find this as fun as I did, and after complaining for hours I let him sit on the couch and watch his show on the big screen. It was maybe 3 in the morning when I jumped up, waking up Jacob who had fallen asleep on the couch when I jumped down on top of him.
He groaned, slowly opening his eyes only to glare at me as I hovered over him, eyes wide. I got off of him when he sat up, trying to rub the sleep from his eyes, but before he could say a word I did.
"Do you remember those stories your dad used to tell us about your ancestors?" I asked, making him nod his head, confused. "Well I don't think those are just stories, I think that actually happened here. Which means that the Cullens must be the cold ones he talked about,"
"Think about it, they just moved here from Alaska of all places, they are all siblings but adopted, they are all pale as snow, they have wired coloured eyes, and they never come out when it's sunny. Edward can run super fast and is super strong. It all makes sense," I finished, out of breath. After a moment I sank down on the couch, waiting for Jacobs's reaction.
"I–how did you..." He stopped himself, confusion still plastered on his face. "There's no way those stories are true," He finally said, voice quiet, as if he was unsure.
"I know it's hard to believe but it all adds up," I said, sleep finally starting to settle in me. We were both quiet for what felt like forever before I finally spoke. "I'm gonna go to bed now wolf boy," I laughed, getting up and taking the giant fur blanket with me. Jacobs's eyes followed my form as I made my way toward his room.
Fear rose inside of him, he didn't know if Y/N was kidding or not. He didn't know if he should believe her or not. Finally, after a minute he laughed it off, deciding that this was some sick joke Y/N was playing, and made his way toward his room.
Tumblr media
I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel of my sister's truck, fear starting to slowly trickle inside of me. Today was Friday, and as promised I was on my way to Emmit Cullens' house. To be completely honest I wouldn't have gone if I didn't find out they were blood-sucking demons, which sounds like I should be saying the opposite.
Fear was the emotion I should be feeling when I turned on the road toward their house but for me, it was more of curiosity than anything else. My eyes kept drifting toward my phone which had the Cullens' address written in my notes.
Even tho Emmit insisted on giving me his number I refused. I couldn't have him texting or calling me, it was already painful having him at school, it'd be even worse if the boy started texting me while I was at home.
Soon a big house made its way into my view after seeing nothing but trees for miles. I could only guess why they had chosen a place so far into the woods. I pulled the truck into the driveway and hit the break before pulling the hand break up.
I grabbed my phone and my bag with all the things we needed for the project before heading toward the house. I sent Emmit a text telling him I was here before knocking on the door.
After a few minutes of standing in the cold the door opened, and to my surprise, it was Rosalie who was standing in front of me instead of the tall buff Cullen I was expecting. She narrowed her eyes before opening the door wider to let me slip past and into the house.
I kept my gasp in as I looked at the house, it was so open and looked just gorgeous. It had windows in all the right spots, leaving a clear view of the forest. If I was rich this would be the house I would go for.
"Swan, you made it," Emmit said as he made his way down the stairs, that same big grin plastered on his face. Even tho I knew what he and his family were I still wasn't scared of them, if they wanted to kill me I'm pretty sure they would have done so already.
"Cullen," I said making him laugh at my serious tone.
"I like this one," I heard Rosalie say from behind me. Surprise filled me as she walked past us and headed up the stairs. Rosalie never liked anyone, at least that was what everyone said.
"Are you just gonna stand there and gawk or are we gonna finish the project?" He asked, teasing me while raising his eyebrows. I glared at him.
"I wasn't gawking you pale idiot," This made him burst into laughter as he headed up the stairs.
"You never fail me, Swan. Don't change," He shook his head as we again walked up another flight of stairs before we came to a white hallway. I took in all the graduation caps that were hung on the wall, making more sense of how old they were.
He opened the door to his room and sat down on his giant bed. The room was plane, nothing on the walls and almost no furniture, other than a dresser that sat lonesome by the wall.
"Let's get this over with,"
Tumblr media
After a couple hours of us doing work and Emmit's nonstop talking, we were finally done. I had taken my things and got out of his room in a hurry. Emmit was right at my heels as I made my way down the stairs. I stopped midway as I saw the familiar face. My heart stopped and my face paled. What the hell was she doing here?
"Bella?" She turned around at the sound of my voice, her shock turned into fear.
"Y/N?" I made my way down the rest of the stairs, grabbing her hand and pulling her away. "What are you doing here?" Was her first question.
"I could ask you the same thing?" The previous week she and Edward had gone public which didn't surprise me in the slightest, tho I wasn't fond of the fact that she was dating a vampire that could kill and maybe even turn her whenever he wanted.
She was about to say something but stopped, looking at the place where we had come from before pulling me down the stairs and outside, closing the door behind us.
"Why are you here Y/N? You have to leave," I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I was doing just that until I saw you standing with pale face over there," I motioned toward the house with my head making her sigh in anger.
"Edward and I are dating I have every right to be at his house,"
"Not with his family around," She looked at me confused.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I cursed to myself in my head, I couldn't exactly tell her that her boyfriend was a blood-sucking demon. That would just be cruel, I had to get her to leave with me.
"You know how I feel about the Cullens-"
"You mean Emmit?"
"Not the point Bella. If I hate Emmit, I hate the whole family," She rolled her eyes, planting her hands on her hips. "Look I just don't feel safe when your alone with people you barely know," Her eyes soften, she reached for me, taking my hands into her own.
"Thank you for worrying about me but you really don't have to. I am perfectly safe here trust me," She seemed so sure that they could be trusted, I felt bad that she didn't know the truth about this family. I knew how stubborn Bella was so I just nodded, not pushing her to come with me when I knew it would do no use. And if she all of the sudden did get sucked up by the Cullens, at least I would be able to bring them down with her.
"Fine, but call me if you feel unsafe okay?" She nodded, a smile on her face as she wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into an embrace.
"Is that my truck?" She asked, pulling away from me, a knowing smile on her face. "Didn't dad say you weren't allowed to drive until you were responsible?"
"Hey, don't you go telling dad things he doesn't need or want for your information to hear," She laughed, shaking her head, hands in the air as a sigh of surrender.
"I won't tell," I narrowed my eyes before slowly backing away to the truck.
"Thank you," I yelled as I got into the truck. I watched as she headed back inside. Right as she was out of sight I let a sigh escape. I felt scared that she was alone with them, it didn't feel right to just leave her here when she didn't know what she just got herself into.
Tumblr media
Later that day when she had gotten home I tried to get her to talk about what all happened with the Cullens, but she refused to tell me anything. And that's when it started, Bella was slowly pulling further and further away from me, she used to tell me every detail about her and Edward but since the day they made it official, she's been as quiet as a mouse.
It bothered me a lot but what could I do? Forse, her to tell me everything? No. I never ask about her life and she would just think something was wrong if I started to now. So I let her pull herself away, I still kept a close eye on her and the Cullens but everything seemed normal. Too normal.
I started to leave the vampier stuff behind, it didn't matter what they were so long as they weren't hurting anyone. And even tho it scared the shit out of me I kept it to myself. I stopped mentioning it to Jacob which seemed to relieve him.
Over the next couple of months, Jacobs's home was like a second home to me, and his dad became a second dad. I would spend supper with them more than my own family and sleep over more than supposed to, but his dad never seemed to mind. He always said I was like a daughter to him.
And since my dad was always busy with the newfound murder cases that have gone up, he really felt safer if I was with the Black family and not home alone.
But then things started to get weird. I knew how much Bella and Edward were in love, despite the fact that I hated it, so it surprised both me and my dad when she barged into the house announcing that she and Edward broke up.
Me and my dad had exchanged glances before following her up the stairs where she started packing her things. She was rambling on and on about how she wasn't happy here and no matter what both me and my dad said it still did no use.
At this point, my dad was begging her not to go, but then she hit him hard with the same blow mom used, and then she stormed out, with me right on her heels.
"Bella what the hell was that?!" I yelled, causing her to stop in her tracks. I never yelled. I never got mad. And she knew that. But after a little, she put her things in the box of her truck. She opened the truck door but I slammed it shut, causing her to flinch.
"What do you think you're doing? You can't just full-on insult and hurt dad and then just leave. Who do you think you are?" I was angry, and she could see that, but she wasn't about to back down like she usually would whenever I got mad.
"Get out of my way Y/N," She said, trying to open the door again but like before I slammed it shut.
"Not until you tell me what the hell is going on,"
"Y/N. I don't have time for this,"
"I don't care what you have time for. Now tell me before I make you," She glared at me, I could see she was getting impatient.
"Get the hell away from my truck Y/N! You're always standing in my way and it's starting to piss me off, god just let me leave, I don't want this life. I get it you do but don't you come crying to me when you turn into dad with no one to love you and no one who you can love," I was shocked at her tone, at her choice of words, and the way she angry shoved me away, causing me to slip and fall on my butt.
I stared, my eyes filling with tears as she drove out of the driveway like it meant nothing to leave us behind. My dad ran out of the house and crouched down in front of me, the same hurt and shock was dispaled on his face as I'm sure was forming on mine.
Tumblr media
The next day Bella was back but she had a broken leg and her arm was slashed. At first, I wouldn't even go see her but after my mom practically dragged me over I ended up forgiving her.
After the summer and we were back at school, things between Bella and Edward changed and soon they ended up breaking up. I was relieved that the family ended up moving away, taking that pale-faced talking machine with them.
Even tho I hated the Cullens it still broke me that they left Bella here torn apart. Edward was her first love and her first boyfriend, so when he left she didn't know how to take it, and like I suspected she took it quietly.
She would sit up in her room for days, and those days ended up turning into weeks, and weeks into months. No matter what I tried she wouldn't leave her room. She wasn't talking to her friends and soon started to fail her classes.
I thought that sleep would do her good but boy was I wrong. The nights were the worst for everyone in the house. Almost every night I would wake up to the sound of Bella screaming, and every night both me and my dad would race to her room and wake her up.
Which only led me to sleep in her bed after she calmed down. This led me to stop having as many sleepovers with Jacob and made me try and fix Bella all on my own.
"You know she should really be trying to get over him," Jacob started as we sat in his truck on our way to go get food. This was the first time in a while since I'd been out, but that was only because Bella decided with a little of a push from both me and my dad to go out with her friends.
"You think I don't know that. I've been trying that for months. I think she really did love that pale-faced bloodsucker," Jacob scoffed.
"You still believe the tribe's story?"
"Yeah. Why else would your dad always tell us them? And besides, the Cullens aren't allowed on the reservation which says a lot," Jacob just rolled his eyes.
"You're so stupid," Before I could insult him back I saw something which made me yell for him to stop. Jacob stopped the truck, looking at me as if I was crazy before I jumped out of the vehicle. My eyes were wide as I crossed the road to get a better look.
"What the–is that Embry?" Jacob who was behind me let out a sigh before he nodded, putting his hands into his jacket pocket.
"Do you remember Sam Uley from when we were kids?" He asked. The name sounded familiar, causing me to think back to when we were younger. Then it hit me. Two years ago when I had come down for the summer, both me and Jacob along with the tribe had this bonfire, and at each bonfire Billy, Jacobs's dad would tell the story of the tribe. I remember Sam because he was always the one who would steal our food as a joke. Tho he always did end up eating it instead of giving it back.
"What about him?"
"Well that guy in the back is Sam," I snapped my head back to the group of boys who were at the edge of a cliff, some of them diving in with the push from others. I noticed a man in the back of the group, laughing along with the others, Sam.
"What the hell..."
"Yeah, that's what I said," He scoffed, shaking his head as he stared at the group of boys. "A little over a year ago Sam started this wired pack thing. He started getting more and more boys to join but I never thought Embry out of everyone would,"
Soon the rest of the boys started jumping into the water causing me to turn away. My eyes lit up in amusement when I saw the look on Jacob's face.
"Wait... are you jealous?" I teased, making him snap his head toward me. At his attempt to save himself, I burst into laughter which led to him hitting the back of my head.
Tumblr media
The next day I got woken up by the last person I expected, Bella. As I was half asleep in my bed Bella was going on and on about how she wanted to get out more and try new things. The second she mentioned dirt bikes I sat up, causing a groan to leave my mouth at the sudden force.
I sat in her truck with a headache as she drove the both of us to Jacobs, the truck's box loaded with broken dirt bikes she found at the junck yard. After a quiet drive, we finally made it, my headache only worsened as she jumped out of the truck.
I saw Jacob walk out of the barn, and only when he notched it was Bella and not me he started jogging toward her, a huge grin on his face as he pulled her into a hug. After they pulled away I saw their lips moving before Bella pointed toward me. With concern, Jacob made his way to my side of the truck before opening the door I was leaning on.
"You good Y/N?" He asked as I glared at him for disturbing my peace and warmth. I pulled my hood over my head before I got out of the truck.
"I'm going back to sleep, don't let Bella do anything stupid," I warned, pointing my finger in her direction before I made my way to the house. I said a quick hello to Billy and then collapsed on Jacob's bed, falling asleep.
Tumblr media
The next couple of weeks did good for Bella, she was slowly starting to heal the broken heart Edward had left. I could tell how good Jacob was for her and noticed the way she was slowly starting to laugh, smile, and open up again.
But I could also see the effect she was having on Jacob, I already knew that he had a small thing for her last year but now that they are together more often his feeling have time to grow. But I never said anything and just sat there as the two started to bond.
I was sitting on Jacob's couch, a book in hand as Billy sat next to me with the town's paper close to his face. It was just the two of us seeing that Jacob was out watching a movie with Bella and her friends. They had invited me to come but after I found out who was gonna be there I turned them down, much rather wanting to spend the day with Billy instead.
It had been a couple of hours since he left causing me to drift off to sleep. I must have been asleep for maybe 30 minutes before I heard the front door slam shut. I jumped up making the book I was reading a little ago fall to the floor.
Billy looked at Jacob with his brows furrowed, both of us taking in the way he was breathing heavily, and sweating like he had just run a marathon. I was about to stand up but the next words that came out of Billy's mouth stopped me.
"You look weird," Tho Billy didn't mean it like that it still came out sounding like he had insulted his son. As I took his words as concern Jacob took them as if someone had slapped him. His breathing started to become heavier and heavier causing me to look at him with worry.
I tried standing up to see if he was okay but Billy held his arm out, stopping me from making any movement. Billy looked at his son as if he knew exactly what was going on, and soon Jacob ran out of the house.
I followed him out, fear washing over me thinking that something bad had happened to my best friend. Billy was not far behind me, taking my hand and pulling me behind him as we both saw the scene unfold before us.
Jacob's heaving got worse and soon he looked up to the night sky, a sound that was like a growl coming out of his mouth before he ran, jumping into the air but his whole body changed. All his clothes were torn off as his body started growing fur and soon four legs appeared. I was too shocked to move as a giant wolf stood before both me and Billy.
The wolf let out a howl before running off into the woods. Even tho I believed the legends that Billy always told us I was still in shock after seeing my best friend turn into something that terrified me. We both were quiet for a long while before Billy turned toward me, his eyes soft but also concerned, not for his son but for me.

Second Chance- Charlie Swan x OC
Charlie Swan x Eleanor Martin
Description: Charlie and Eleanor are planning their wedding, and Eleanor becomes curious about why he seems to be demanding things to be better than perfect so vehemently.
Word Count: 1.4k
Tumblr media
The day that Charlie proposed to Eleanor had been the happiest day of their lives. It had been while they were out fishing. They had been taking a break and eating lunch when Charlie just pulled out a ring and proposed right then and there. Now, it wasn’t anything special by any means, but Charlie was never one for showing a lot of sentimentality. To Eleanor, it was absolutely perfect.
Everyone they told was ecstatic. The Cullens even decided to throw a party and invited the Quileute pack to celebrate when they told them. Their friends pulled out all the stops to help them plan the wedding. It made things much easier that Charlie knew about the supernatural so he could mediate in case there was a disagreement (and there were several).
No one was surprised that the Cullens demanded for everything to be perfect (especially Alice and Bella). They were, however, surprised that Charlie had been demanding the same thing and making sure it went into effect. If something wasn’t up to his standard (or Eleanor’s) he would push and fight until it was. Eleanor, and everyone else really, had never seen that side of him. As a matter of fact they didn’t even think he had such a side. But it wasn’t too unbearable, so they dealt with it.
Finally, after months of careful planning, looking at venues and trying cakes, dinner foods, tuxes and dresses, everything had been set. Now it was the night before the big day. It was a very peaceful night, one that they needed after such a stressful process of planning. Neither Charlie nor Eleanor saw the point in spending the night before the wedding away from each other, so they just lounged around the house. They sat on the couch, Charlie sitting on the far right side of the couch while Eleanor laid against his side with his arm around her. Music played in the background, but aside from that it was completely quiet.
“Can I ask you something, Char?” Eleanor asked softly, breaking the silence and tranquility of the environment. The man in question lifted his head a bit and looked at her, humming in response.
“Why are you so insistent on everything being absolutely perfect? Of course I don’t mind, but I thought that was the bride’s job,” she said with a teasing smile. “You know, with the whole ‘bridezilla’ thing.” That earned a laugh from Charlie, which made her smile widen. He shook his head, but he didn’t actually answer for a few minutes. He seemed to be deep in thought, so Eleanor opted to stay silent as she watched him.
“Have I ever told you about how Renee and I got married?” He finally asked, looking at her once again. Eleanor thought for a moment, going over anything either he or Bella had told her about his ex-wife.
“No, I just know you got married when you were pretty young,” she answered. The man nodded with a small sigh.
“I met Renee during my first summer as a cop. She was driving up the Pacific Highway with a group of her friends, and they stopped to camp at First Beach in La Push. I was visiting Billy when I met her on the beach. There was an instant attraction between us. You know Forks is a small town, so any newcomers were instantly intriguing to anyone. At the time I thought she was the most gorgeous woman I’d ever met. We spent a few days together before her friends were ready to continue their roadtrip. Renee promised to visit me on the return trip. In her absence, I realized just how much he had fallen for her.
She returned as promised, and I managed to convince her to stay when her friends left. Renee was romantic by nature, and she loved the passionate whirlwind relationship. I proposed probably much quicker than I should have, and she accepted. We were married at the courthouse in Port Angeles just a few weeks later. My old house was just down the street from my parent’s house, so we decided to get it. For a little while, we  were deliriously happy. I was even happier when I found out Renée was pregnant with Bella. You wouldn’t even believe it.” The two of them shared a quiet laugh, then Eleanor noticed a sad look in Charlie’s eyes.
“But?” She urged softly, dipping her head a bit to meet his eyes. The man shot her a sad smile then continued.
“But,” he repeated. “Things took a downturn during Renée's pregnancy. Both of my parents' conditions worsened, and my dad needed my help with my mother every day. My mom had Alzheimer's and dad’s mobility was being curtailed by severe arthritis.” Eleanor’s eyes widened at that and she let out a quiet gasp, sympathy coursing through her. Charlie gently squeezed her shoulder with the arm wrapped around her, silently letting her know it was okay as he continued.
“At the same time, depression began to take a major toll on Renee. She wanted me to leave Forks with her and start over somewhere sunnier, but I just couldn't do that. How was I supposed to just leave my parents while their health was deteriorating? Anyways, Renee had the baby, and the postpartum hormones only added to her depression.
A few months after Bella was born, Renee decided she couldn't live in Forks anymore, and she left with Bella. I was devastated. I wanted to follow her, but again, I couldn't just leave my parents. I wanted Renee to be happy though, so I didn't contest the divorce or the child support. All I asked for was time with Bella and things were settled. I didn’t stop loving Renee for a long time, despite the fact that she moved on.” Eleanor offered him a weak, comforting look as she carefully took his hand.
“I’m so sorry Charlie,” she whispered, but the man only shook his head.
“I’m not,” he responded, which visibly surprised her. He chuckled quietly before elaborating.
“Ellie, I never thought that I would fall in love again. I thought that I was just destined to spend the rest of my life alone, but then I met you at the parent/teacher night and I felt that connection. The ‘mates’ thing you talked about. If I thought that I loved Renee before, it had more than tripled when we met. It felt like I had been given a second chance, and this time I wanted to make sure that I didn’t mess anything up this time around.
And I didn’t, everything was perfect. I took things slow and got to know you before I even considered the thought of asking you to marry me. I waited three years to propose to you because I wanted to make sure that spending the rest of our lives together was something we both wanted. And I mean, you deserve to be treated right and with respect.
When it came time to start planning, my original mindset came back. Things needed to be perfect and special for the sake of our happiness. Besides, it’s a big step for both of us. I think we deserve to have a good day. That’s why I wanted all our friends to help us out, and that’s why I’ve been so specific about everything.”
Eleanor couldn’t help but smile as he finished talking. Not only had he been so desperate for things to be perfect for himself, but for her as well. It was not a secret to him anymore that she hadn’t really been happy when she was still alive. She didn’t have a husband and none of her suitors really respected her because of the time they lived in, and she never had a chance to fall in love before she had been turned. This had technically been a second chance for both of them, and they were making sure not to waste it.
“Aw, Charlie,” she cooed, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before hugging him. “You’re so sweet.” She didn’t have to be looking at him to know that he was blushing as he returned the gesture, but that only made her more giddy. Once they pulled away, she leaned her head on his shoulder as they settled into a comfortable silence once again.
“You don’t have to worry though,” Eleanor interrupted the silence again, which made Charlie look at her confusedly.
“What?”
“You don’t have to worry about trying to make things perfect,” she explained with a soft smile. “Everything is naturally perfect with you.” The man’s blush returned, and he pressed a gentle kiss to her temple.
“Everything is perfect with you too,” he muttered softly as they settled back into how they sat earlier. And Eleanor knew he really meant it.

He had searched around for you and only found you after like thirty minutes. The rain was playing with his smell but once he stood outside he eventually found you crying in the rain and looking up at the sky, shaking. You were still human at the current moment so it was hard for him to get close but he pushed himself after seeing you were in pain. He put the umbrella above your head, not caring that he was getting wet. He asked you to come inside in the warmth.
~“Please join me inside. We can talk there. I do not care of getting wet ma’am but you are still living, you can get sick and unwell”

He instantly noticed you sitting in the Cullen kitchen, sitting at the kitchen bench, staring at the same cup of tea for an hour. He walked around the bench and placed a hand on your shoulder, asking you what was on your mind and that he was there to listen. Which he perfectly did, he looked you in the eyes, held your hands as you spoke up and cried, he was a brilliant listener and gave you the best advice he could.

When he noticed you at school crying in the empty corridor and leaning against your locker he asked you what was wrong. You snapped at him and told him to leave you alone. He instantly put his hands up and turned around to leave. But you then asked him to stay. Which he did, awkwardly standing beside you and noticing the writing on your locker, gently moving you and reading the message from your bully, making him angry. You had to talk him out of going to hurt them.

He could read your mind often but respected your wishes of privacy until you had been silent and not able to communicate with him well. He decided it had gone to far and he read your mind as your stood in their living room. He heard your thoughts of not wanting to be alive anymore and he was broken and so hurt. He grabbed your wrist and spun you around to face him. He wiped your tears away and sighed.
~”I can’t live without you. You mean everything to me love. I mean that.”

You were in her room upstairs thinking she was gone out, only for her to return and seeing you a mess on her bed, tears and tissues everywhere. When she walking over to you and saw you with teary eyes she felt heartbroken, then mad as her fists clench. Yelling and asking who hurt you, ready to kill anyone in her path. But you shook your head and she finally gave in after a moment and hugged you.

He is soft when is comes to those he loves. So the moment he saw you get out of your car in front of his house crying his chest ached. He stayed silent as he followed you into his little open shed and watched as you sat down, sniffling. He kneeled down in front of you and apologised. Wether it was his fault or not, he would still apologise, feeling it’s his fault for not stopping your from feeling that way, he knows the feeling and hates it.

She was simply outside for a walk and smiling at the trees, the flowers and the pretty blue bird in front of her when she had a vision of you kneeling on the floor, crying. She dropped the plants and ran back to the house, immediately running upstairs and seeing you collapse to the floor crying. She helped you up and pulled you into her arms, rubbing your back and asking what’s wrong. She wiped away your tears as you spoke and nodded at each sentence, being an absolute Angel towards you.
Bella -

Mike and Jessica laughed when you laid with your head down in class and asked Bella to wake you up, but after they left you lifted your head up and revealed that you were crying the entire time. Those two had said some horrid things about you and you felt sick in the stomach. You told Bella and she was shocked. Staring at you for a moment, lip biting in thought before standing up and giving you her hand. She took you outside for fresh air and then took you out on a relaxing night at her place to comfort you.
Charlie -

As you stood there at the Swan residence you stood downstairs and looked at yourself in the mirror, taking in the details of the dress tightly around your body hating the sight. You felt your insecurities digging into your body like stones. It was painful and you wanted to ball your eyes out. Until you seen Charlie in the mirror, he came up behind you with a soft smile. You told him you didn’t quite like the outfit, in fact you hated anything on your body, you just felt ugly in everything, not matter what you did.
~”I think you look beautiful. Everything looks perfect on you. You may not see it Y/N. But I can, the world can see it. You’re the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen and I mean that. Now go on, you look stunning” he finished up once he saw Bella join you
Aro -

He would have been wandering around the home of Volturi and noticed a figure sitting on the floor in the hallway, their black robe covering their face. He looked down and caught a glimpse of your face. He kneeled before you and took the hood off your head. Wiping away your tears and putting his hands out and asking you to stand up. After he helped you up he spoke to you and asked about your day, doing everything (secretly without you noticing) to distract you from being upset. Once he saw you finally chuckle he couldn’t help but smile, gently rubbing your cheek with his thumb.
