“I want this test to mean something. I did a test in the middle of 2013, which ultimately set up my seat in 2014 with the team. Ten years later I’m kind of in that same position again.”
In 2013, Daniel took part in the Young Driver Test in Silverstone. He would set the fastest time of the day in the Toro Rosso and the third fastest time in the RB9, which he would beach on his 7th lap.
He’s done this before, he knows how to get this shit done.
“I know if I put a good showing in, it won’t go unnoticed. It might not be laptime at the end of the day. It might be like ‘Oh sh*t, by the end of lap 2 he was already flat out’.
“By the end of the test, I just want them to be like ‘Oh f*ck, this kid still has it. He’s not just cruising around. He’s not a test driver’.”

"MY WAY: The Life and Legacy of Pat Patterson"
He was a semi-openly gay man within professional wrestling. Publicly, he was secretive about his sexuality. He had a poor, sad, lonely upbringing until he was more successful his father accepted him more. But he didn't have much support from his family when he came out to them as a teenager in the late 50s. Had to leave home at 16.
He's been the subject of rumors and erroneous stories because of homophobia in wrestling and in society.
He was a talent and a genius for wrestling and helped so many wrestlers over 45-50 years throughout the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s all the way until his death in 2020. He was like 'required reading' for anyone dreaming to wrestle, he put on shows and matches that today are still unbelievable.
I think he's a good man. He's a hero.

Please save me, I'm reading a reddit thread about Seb vs Max(bcs Tost said he thought Seb would win out), and none of these people know how good Seb was in his prime
#the fucking ignorance in this thread im gonna shoot myself#theyre like:oh he barely won 2010 and 2012#uhhhhh you mean two of the most competitive seasons in history?????????#2010: literally had 5 championship contenders for a while and then still 4 for the closer#^ also tbh its super impressive to me that he was never leading the wdc and still managed to pull it off at the last moment#and 2012 which is regarded as one of if not the best seasons of all time in which there were six different winners in the first six races#i cannot fucking believe i jsut saw a comment basically seb is not as aggressive as max#saying he doesnt have the samw 'step on their neck' mentality as Max does#uh what??????????? im sorry but seb was one of the most ruthless drivers ever and was way more of an asshole abt it. multi-21??????#but fuck. these people dont know him and his wdc years at all 😭😭#still has the record for most poles in a season. is still the youngest wdc and polesitter#got pole and won a race in his 1 ½ season IN AN STR before rbr could even try pulling that off#it just really sucks to me how his flop years have ruined his reputation for some people#yeah ofc he kinda fell off in the latter years of ferrari and amr but that doesnt erase all of his incredible performance in the prior yrs??#like please i beg of you go watch the rbr era years and you will be impressed istg#another stupid argument was saying 'oh he made too many mistakes in 2009 and lost a wdc he couldve won'#first of all that was only his 2½ season and his first season in a top team#and also not all of his dnfs and crashes in that ssn were his fault :/ the car wasnt the most reliable :/#i love max and i think hes probably one of the goats but my god the regency bias is insane#^ and alongside that. oh you point out all Seb's mistakes but completely ignore when max was called the crash kid?? 😭😭#like saying seb lost 2009 due to rookie mistakes...YEAH CAUSE HE WAS ONLY IN HIS 2½ YEAR AS A 21/22 YR OLD#also I think its impossible anyways to say who would win that matchup bcs theyre in completely different eras#seb dominated that v8 era and max dominates this current era. its truly impossible to say bcs they mastered completely dif cars#like whu cant we just say both of them are pretty damn fantastic as rbr golden boys??#anyways. fuck im so irritated right now. this is an affront to my spirit!!!#its really just: say you dont know seb without saying you dont know seb#catie.rambling.txt

Wanting to collect my thoughts on MCC29 as a women’s history month event
• Dodgebolt coming down to False vs Gee is a big one, so cool to see how everyone — regardless of which team they were rooting for — cheered them both on
• Jojo coming first again is massive, as she’s the only woman to ever do so (the first time was MCC25)
• also screw you, nonbinary people count, Ranboo making top 5 makes the list!! Especially considering the only other time we’ve had two non-men in the top 5 was Hannah (2nd) and Ranboo (4th) in MCC27
• This event had had 15 non-men contestants, making it joint 3nd for the highest of any canon MCC to date!! (MCC27 had eighteen, MCC10 had seventeen, and MCCs 3, 23, and 28 had fifteen)
• There was also only one team (Orange Ocelots) that was exclusively men, which has only occured a couple times!!! (MCC10 had at least one non-man on every team, but two of them were viewer teams; MCCs 3, 19, and 23 also had 9/10 teams with at least one non-man on them)
Feel free to add on if I missed anything!!

#OTD in 1922 – The IRA kidnaps more than forty loyalists activists and ‘B’ Specials.
In mid-January 1922 the Monaghan football team was arrested in the North on their way to play Derry in the final of the Ulster Championship. On 7 February the IRA responded by kidnapping forty-two prominent loyalists in Fermanagh and Tyrone and held them as hostages. A party of eighteen armed B-Specials, when travelling by train to Enniskillen, were stopped at Clones railway station in Co…

FORMULA ONE: A HISTORY 1950 INDIANAPOLIS 500 The Indianapolis 500 was the race 3 of 7 in the 1950 World Championship of Drivers. The event, however, did not attract any European Formula One drivers for 1950. Giuseppe Farina originally planned to enter, but his car never arrived. The race was originally scheduled for 200 laps (500 miles), but was stopped after 138 laps (345 miles) due to rain. During the month, Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyck were at the track to film scenes for the film To Please a Lady. Stanwyck was on hand in victory lane after the race for the traditional celebratory kiss to the winner. POLE POSITION: Walt Faulkner (Kurtis Kraft) WINNER: Johnnie Parsons (Kurtis Kraft) 2ND: Bill Holland (Lou Moore) 3RD: Mauri Rose (Howard Keck)

2023 WORLD CHAMPIONS: KAORI SAKAMOTO + SHOMA UNO First Japanese Singles Skaters to Defend their World Titles in Figure Skating ”My strength for this season was my experience up until today. Before the Grand Prix Final I struggled a lot but the week into Nationals I was able to bring my condition back up because of the experiences I had before, I remembered how to overcome that, so I was able to do that. Today in my free skate I was nervous but I was able to minimize my mistakes because of all the struggles and tough experiences I had, so I can say my strength is from my experiences.” - Kaori Sakamoto
“Looking back at my career, I’ve had several similar experiences and there’s always people around and close to me to support me through the hard times. I had this with injuries, bad condition, in the past it was my family that was there for me but now there’s Marin, Stephane and coach Demi, all the managers and everyone involved, I’m really grateful for the support and presence to my team.” - Shoma Uno
