Head Canon I can't stop thinking about
Okay Mechs fans listen up because I had a dream and I can't get it out of my head until I share it. In UDaD do we have any concrete answer to if Ashes as Hades had an actual dog? Like in Underworld Blues Heracles says "I was sent here your dog to seize". Did Hades/Ashes have a physical dog (or the City equivalent)? because might i propose
Jonny is the dog in the song. like all the Olympians and citizens think its a real dog or the three headed Cerberus from myths and.... its just Jonny being Jonny. He wants a break from "depopulating the lower levels" and just goes and chills in Ashes/Hades place like an annoying sibling (and maybe eats people who try to break into the Acheron)
TL;DR I have a head canon that in UDaD Jonny takes the place of Cerberus.

Okay so there’s someone here (I don’t remember their username, if you know it or if it’s you, let me know lol) that wrote a fic where in Ulysses Dies At Dawn, Jonny is Cerberus. Like Ashes is Hades (duh), Tim is Persephone — but Jonny went by the name of Cerberus, which I honestly adopted into my head because it makes a lot of sense to me. So, I liked the fic, adopted it in, now it’s made it’s way into my personal headcannons.
And that has lead to something HILARIOUS.
In “Underworld Blues”, Hercules’s part is pretty much him telling Hades that his last task was to get their dog. For anyone unfamiliar with Greek mythology, Cerberus is “Hades’s dog”.
So my brain keeps supplying me with this image of Hercules looking left and right for this dog, having no idea where the fuck it is, cause he keeps running into this short murderous guy instead, where the fuck is this dog —
And since he can’t find it he takes too long and that’s how Ashes catches him.
Realistically I know that if this were the case he would probably know that Cerberus is just a very animalistic and violent man, and not a dog, but I choose to ignore that fact cause it’s funny to me.
TLDR: Jonny is Cerberus and Hercules has no idea where the fuck the dog he’s supposed to “seize” is, takes too long, and gets caught by Ashes in Underworld Blues — is a hilarious thought to me.

okay you folks seemed to like my last Mechs headcanon so here's some more:
Ivy has the whole crew's favorite books memorized. She worked with Nastya to program in a feature where Aurora can read them out loud on request.
Marius's arm is magnetic. It has flown off of him and stuck to parts of the ship quite a few times.
Jonny had his throat modified by Carmillia in order to allow him to scream without ruining his voice.
Ashes once accidentally lit the Toy Soldier on fire. It didn't seem to mind, all it said was that it felt "a right bit stuffy".
During Ashes's time as Hades, Cerberus was just a very large octokitten. Word of mouth turned the description of it from "cat with eight legs" to "dog with three heads", but Ashes didn't care enough to correct anyone.

Galahad isn't that old. He just overworks himself to the point that he looks like he's been through a lot more than he has.
On that topic, he is Lancelot's son from an affair he had before joining the Pendragons. They're both presumably aware of it, they've just never bothered to say anything.
Heracles never fully buttons up the suit part of his uniform. It drives Ariadne insane.
The Egyptian mythology characters of the City lived some time before the Greek mythology characters.
The Antigone of the City isn't Oedipus's daughter, but rather one of the first children cured of the Sphinx and therefore felt as if she owed a debt to him. She was killed by her grandfather, a high-ranking official, after attempting to recover her twin brother's brain from the Acheron.
Loki's hair is a mix of red and black strands. The black began to grow in after Odin stuck her in the Bifrost.
