Arthritis is a chronic disorder that causes inflammation in one or more joints, leading to pain, swelling, and stiffness. The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis, is a result of wear and tear on the joint. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the cells that line the joints. Arthritis affects millions of people in the United States of America.

Arthritis is a debilitating condition that millions of people suffer from. There are many treatments available, but all of them have negative side effects. Some people are turning to hemp oil as a treatment for arthritis because it has anti-inflammatory properties and does not have any psychoactive effects. There is some evidence that hemp oil can be an effective treatment for arthritis, but more research is needed to confirm this.

Bruises
for @sleep-deprived-athlete 🤍
Summary: you come into Abbott looking like absolute hell. Melissa is worried.
WC: ~2.55k
Tumblr media
You really hadn’t meant to get all bruised up at the Rugby game on Saturday- but the sport was tough, and you were by no means a player who would give up a play because you were afraid to get a little scuffed up.
Maybe a little scuffed up was an understatement, if you’re being honest. Your jaw is a beautiful shade of purple and so is your eye thanks to a shoulder to the face, your shoulder is killing you, and the one tumble that you had taken left you with a sore ankle and a bit of a limp.
Still though, being a teacher never stops, and you find yourself dragging your bags and yourself into Abbott bright and early the next Monday.
Your sitting in the staff room, drinking your coffee and icing your shoulder as you continue to go through your lessons for the last coming months of the school year, when the rest of your friends start to make their way in as one big clump. How they all manage to pull up to the school and walk in together almost everyday without fail is beyond you… actually, you know how. They told you that they all plan to get there at exactly 7:43 to enter the building at 7:45, but you were a stickler for time and an early riser already, so you just came in before everyone else to enjoy the peace and quiet while you had the room to yourself.
“Y/N!” Janine gasps. “What happened to you?”
“Hm?” You hum as you allow yourself to take your eyes away from your paper for just one second. Only then do you realize that Janine, Gregory, Jacob, Barbara, and Melissa are all standing in front of you with their jaws dropped and looking quite concerned. “Oh, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
“Sweetheart, forgive me for being blunt, but you look like you went to hell and back,” Barbara states.
“It looks a lot worse than it is,” you tell her as you avert your eyes back down to the papers in front of you. “I promise you, I’m fine.” You adjust the icepack before wincing slightly at the cool sensation.
Melissa and Barbara share a look before Melissa sighs softly. She digs around in her bag for a second before pulling out her CBD oil. “Move your hair.”
You do so without looking up, not really questioning the instruction. You’re so focused on your lesson plans that you just follow the order without a second thought. You’re shocked though when you feel liquid on your shoulder. “Mel, what?”
“It’s just CBD oil… it’ll help ease the pain,” the redhead tells you. And then her hands are rubbing the oil into your shoulder, and you can’t help but let out a soft groan. Shit… maybe you really should go get your shoulder checked out.
“Hun, what happened?”
“Just got a little roughed up,” you sigh as her hands continue to massage the sore spot.
That does not help the worried looks that your coworkers are giving you.
“Guys, I’m fine,” you promise them. “I have to head down to my classroom to do a bit of prep, but I’ll see youse all at lunch.”
As you stand and start to gather your things though, you let out a small hiss in pain at the pressure on your ankle. All of their heads immediately snap in your direction.
“Hun,” Melissa frowns.
You hold up a hand, silently requesting for no further comment on the matter. You limp your way out of the staff lounge and head into your classroom. You thought that you could make it through the day without having to put your ankle brace on, but you were clearly wrong. You’re lacing it up when the redhead makes her way into your room and closes the door.
“What’s going on?” she asks you frankly.
You just continue to lace up your brace, mildly annoyed that she won’t let it go.
“Mel, I’m fine. Just a little-”
“A little roughed up,” the second grade teacher cuts you off. “I heard you the first time. You don’t get to come in here after a weekend with a shiner that competes with the one Kristen Marie had after her and I squared up after Nonna’s funeral, a bum shoulder, and an ankle brace and get to be mysterious about it. What gives?”
You take a deep breath before meeting her green eyes with your own. “I fell. I’m fine.”
“Fell?” Melissa raises a brow as she folds her arms across her chest. “You don’t get all of your injuries from a fall.”
“Well, I did,” you sigh. “I don’t know what else you want me to say. It’s the truth.”
“Did anyone help you fall?” the redhead asks. “I know you and your girlfriend broke up a couple weeks ago, and if she did this to you-”
“She didn’t do nothin’,” you tell her quickly. “Now please- I have to prep for today.”
“Hun-”
“Melissa,” you grit through your teeth. “Please. I have to prep, and I’m moving a little slower than usual, so I need all the time I can get.”
Your coworker purses her lips. “Fine. But know that I’m always here if you need to talk.” She turns on her heel and heads out towards her work wife’s room. You close your eyes as you pinch the bridge of your nose.
“She’s actin’ real weird,” the redhead states as she sits in Barbara’s rocking chair.
The kindergarten teacher nods. “Poor thing looks like she crawled out of the seventh layer of hell.”
“And she got real snippy with me when I asked her if Jen had anything to do with it… shut me down real quick and refused to talk to me anymore,” Melissa sighs. “I just want to help her if she’s in a sticky situation.”
“Melissa,” Barbara says softly. “If I do remember correctly, you were the same way when things got messy with Joe.”
“I know!” the second grade teacher huffs. “But now that I’m on the other end of it… I just want to help if I can.”
“And that is very kind of you,” the older teacher tells her friend. “But if she’s not ready to ask for help, the only way that you can help is by being kind and gentle with her.”
“I guess,” Melissa purses her lips. “Well… I suppose I should go pretend to do my job.”
“I suppose you should,” Barbara nods. “But seriously… do not go all Schemmenti over this. I’m sure Y/N is fine, and if she isn’t… we’ll be there to help pick up the pieces later.”
The redhead grabs her coffee before entering the staff lounge once more. She brews another pot of coffee and fills her own mug before grabbing a spare from the cupboard. She prepares that second cup of liquid gold the way she knows you like it before heading back down to your room.
“Hey,” she knocks on the doorframe gently. “I figured I would bring you another cup so you don’t have to limp your way down during prep.”
You smile at her gently, as much as your bruised jaw will allow you to. “Thank you.”
“Of course,” Melissa says softly, so out of character for her. “I’m here to help.”
When you expect her to linger, she just gently sets the cup of coffee on your desk and makes her way back out to her own classroom.
When your kids come in, they’re immediately asking you what happened, if you’re okay.
“I’m doing just fine,” you chuckle. “But thank you for your concern. If you think I look bad, you should see the other person,” you joke, thinking none of them will care enough to repeat your words. What you’re saying is right though- the other girl got just as roughed up, if not worse. Oh how wrong you are.
Come lunch, Melissa is right at your door, asking if you want her to bring your lunch down for you from the break room.
“I can come get my lunch,” you chuckle as you wave off her offer. “I could use the movement anyway… been teaching from my chair.”
The two of you make your way into the staffroom, and she all but pushes you into a chair before grabbing your lunches out of the refrigerator for you. When you expect her to sit down next to you with her own lunch, she doesn’t. She heads for the fridge again and pulls out two ice packs. She gently tucks the first one into your bra strap to ice your shoulder, and then she’s sitting down and gesturing for you to prop your foot up on her lap.
“Melissa, I’m really okay,” you try to tell her again. She shakes her head though and all but forces your leg into her lap. She unlaces your brace before setting the icepack over the bruised area. Then, and only then, does she dive into her own lunch.
You smile softly at her. “Thank you.”
“Someone’s gotta look after you when you won’t ask for help,” she rolls her eyes. “And I’ll be damned if it isn’t me.”
The lunch period passes by quickly, but then you remember that you have recess duty. With a sigh, you reach forward to lace up your brace again.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Her hands try to stop your own.
“I have recess duty,” you tell her. “Don’t worry, I’m planning on bringing a chair out and just monitoring from there.”
She ties your brace up for you before standing with you. “I’m not letting you lug out a chair by yourself with your ankle and bum shoulder… Jesus, don’t you think you should go get your ankle checked out? It’s the size of a baseball.”
“I’ve had worse,” you sigh offhandedly as you begin to make your way outside. No more than thirty seconds later is she outside with you, two chairs under her arm. She sets them out before gesturing for you to sit down.
“Thanks,” you mutter. The two of you sit there for a bit of time before the warmth from the sun begins to become too much for you, and unconsciously you roll up a sleeve- revealing the bruises on your arms.
The redhead next to you does everything she can to not stare at them as her mind goes a mile a minute, wondering exactly how you got all of these injuries.
And then two kids run up to the two of you. One is in your class, and the other is in Melissa’s.
“Miss Y/N,” your kid says as she bounces on her toes.
“What’s up, Jayla?”
“Tell Amaya what you told us today about why you have all of your bruises,” she tells you. “She doesn’t believe me.”
“I fell?” you respond, confused as hell.
“Yeah, but what did you say after that?”
“Thank you for your concern?” you tell her, even more confused than the first time.
“But then what after that?”
You shrug.
“You told us that we should see other person that did this to you!” Jayla yells.
You purse your lips into a fine line, and you can see the way that Melissa is eying you in your peripheral view. “That’s just an expression, hun. I didn’t mean it literally.”
“You still said it,” your student smirks before turning to her friend as they walk off. “I told you she said that!”
“So,” Melissa leans in. “What was that?”
“I didn’t really mean it,” you huff. “It was a joke. I didn’t think the kids would remember it.”
“Hun,” the redhead lays a gentle hand on your shoulder. “If you need help…”
“I don’t need help,” you sigh. “I promise you. I’m just fine.”
And then the bell rings to signal the end of recess. You limp your way over to your students’ line while Melissa gathers the chairs under her arm again and takes them inside. You get the kids back inside and finish out the day teaching from your desk.
After school, as much as you would love to just go home and relax, there is a staff meeting. You slowly make your way into the library and take up your place next to Melissa. While you’re waiting for everybody else to come trickling in, the redhead reaches into her bag again and pulls out her CBD oil. Before you can stop her, it’s on your shoulder again, and she’s gently working it into your skin.
“Thank you,” you whisper softly, trying not to groan out in pain.
She just nods before lifting your injured foot into her lap again. Melissa unlaces your brace again and begins to rub the oil over your swollen ankle. At that, you grimace, but you let her continue.
And then Ava is making her way in.
“Hey y’all,” she grins as she makes her way over to your table. “Damn girl… you did a great job on Saturday.”
You chuckle lightly. “Thanks.”
“What game?” Janine asks. “And why weren’t we invited?”
“Ava wasn’t even invited,” you roll your eyes. “She was just there where I was playing rugby.”
“I was there to…” she smirks. “Check out the eye candy and go window shopping. I had no idea Y/N is the hottie that she is.”
“You play rugby?” Melissa raises an eyebrow.
You nod. “And that… is how I got the black eye, the bruises, and the shoulder and ankle injuries.”
“Why wouldn’t you just say that?” the redhead asks you.
You go to speak, but Ava decides that now is the time to start her meeting, claiming that most of the faculty was in the room and she doesn’t want to have to be here much longer. So, you aren’t able to answer.
Once the meeting is over, Melissa is helping you out to your car in silence.
“Why wouldn’t you just tell me that you got hurt playing sports?”
“I didn’t wanna seem like a wuss,” you shrug, only to wince slightly at the throbbing in your shoulder. “I didn’t want no one making a big fuss over me.”
“Hun,” Melissa rolls her eyes. “Of course we were going to make a big fuss over you when we saw you. I was out here thinking you got beat up or were getting abused… I wish you would’ve just told me that you got hurt playing a sport.”
You turn a bit sheepish. “Sorry.”
“You promise me that this was from rugby?”
“Promise,” you sigh softly. “The team I was playin’ was tough and showing no mercy… the ref called a bunch of flags, but by that point the damage was done.”
Melissa gives you a sympathetic look. “Well, why don’t you come over tonight, and I’ll help nurse you back to health? Cook you dinner, let you ice, rub some more CBD oil on your injuries.”
“Are you flirting with me?” you tease her.
The woman in front of you just shrugs. “Maybe… what do you say?”
“I’ll be there by five,” you chuckle as you hobble along to get into your car.

Thinking about disabled AK!Jason tonite with a disabled s/o
Let's be fr this man could/should be an ambulatory wheelchair user but he won't because he doesn't know that's a thing and wouldn't think he deserved it. If you're an ambulatory wheelchair user maybe one day you manage to lovingly bully him into just TRYING it and it is life changing
He uses his ambulatory energy to do Red Hood shit nbd
if he doesn't use a wheelchair he's got at least 2 braces--shoulder and knee
Baby has chronic pain, arthritis, chronic migraines from being beaten
Missing some teeth too
take this boy to your neuro or your ortho!!!! he is totally unaware he does not need to live like this. better living through chemistry
let's get him some therapy too
you WILL have to go to his drs appointments with him. mans WILL freak the fuck out for ANY medical procedure, has very serious medical abuse trauma. if he can see how your drs help you he is much more likely to go if he can see that you are benefiting from your providers and that they haven't harmed you
if you're scared of drs he will FULLY stand behind you. probably not that healthy tbh but he gets it
having a special Migraine Protocol for each of you (it's basically just a snack and a drink, blue light filter glasses, a sleep mask with headphones for that special Migraine Playlist)
make your own pain scales and talk through frequency of pain bc when you have constant or near constant pain it fucks up your ability to quantify it so making your own pain scale is helpful (he probably uses shakespeare plays or authors. like a 5 for jason is twilight, because you can see some problems but it's fun and fluffy but when you start looking closer OH NO SO MANY PROBLEMS)
pain meters on a wall near the kitchen so you can know what you're working with
CBD patches
the AK suit is basically a giant brace/mobility aid so you help him figure out how to adapt it for his red hood persona, how to make it lighter and allow for greater ROM
will remind you to do physical therapy
resistance bands ALL OVER THE HOUSE
learning bodywork techniques
AT LEAST once a week using a special oil or lotion to work into some of his bigger scars to make the tissue more mobile
giving him a back/neck/scalp/face massage
after a while obvi that's a lot of trust he's putting in you
NOT deep tissue. don't hurt him more. you can have effective therapeutic massage without hurting a person
trager work involves basically shaking a limb and letting the weight of the muscle do all the work but it feels weird the first time and he'd just start laughing at you
specially if you do his glutes
but it feels really nice so he stops laughing and it does help his lower body pain
putting magnesium lotion on each other's neck and shoulders
start to ask each other "are you angry or in pain?"
hand massages
teaching him to stop pushing through the pain
one of his knees is basically bone on bone so you always know when the weather is changing
if u both have bad knees u just don't even when the weather is changing. take some pain meds, use your topical pain reliever of choice, prop those joints up and snuggle in bed. watch a youtube series or he can read to you
heated blankets as heating pads supremacy
occasionally he'll be in pain and the kind of pain where you feel like you're going insane, so as a distraction he will go online and buy a bunch of weird pain-relieving gadgets and you'll spend a week trying them out
(sometimes his pain fog shopping spree is blind boxes, or nail polish, or statement shirts)
all of his siblings know to come to your place if they get beat tf up because your medicine cabinet is UNreal
you're about to give cass or steph a Controlled Substance Pain Reliever and you pause "this is technically drug dealing, isn't it? dOn'T teLL rEd hOOD" jason is literally patching them up right next to you
soft blankets
reminding each other it's ok to take it slow
he's constantly tearing into the other rogues for not having ADA accessible lairs (except Ivy who successfully argued that the plants make it ADA accessible which will do. FOR NOW.)

i had someone tell me chiro wasnt real and wasn't doing anything for me in the same breath they told me to try cbd oil 🫢
SCREAAMMMMM I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me to just go align my chakras instead. also god I love being told by other people that it isn't Doing Anything to me. like DAMN THAT'S CRAZY... Ig when I've fucked my neck so badly that I can't turn my head to the right, and I'm able to finally get range of motion back again only after getting a chiro adjustment, that must be like a sugar pill thing or something. Or when I have a tension migraine that won't go away for days and days but dissipates after an adjustment. Or when being bedridden with back pain was a common occurrence before I started going to a chiro regularly and now I can go on walks and hikes without my lower back seizing up. Or how my carpal tunnel improved when she started loosening up my wrists. But I guess it doesn't "do anything". I must be fully imagining it. It must just be some woo-woo mind shit. I should probably just smoke some weed and that will physically heal my entire body. I should probably just drive to oklahoma city and pay some extra for a PT to tell me to do some of the exact same stretches my chiro advises me to do, and advise some of the exact same habit changes my chiro has mentioned, and to perform some of the exact same adjustments, but call them "manual therapy" instead. Oh, PTs don't do "adjustments", they simply put their hands on you and manipulate your muscles/joints to alleviate pain, loosen you up, and feel for small misalignments. Which is fucking exactly what a chiropractor does.

Me at the vape shop, about to check out: Oh, and do you have just straight up CBD gummies? Cashier: You want CBD, or CBD(auditory processing disorder malfunction)? Me: Plain old CBD. The old school stuff before all this other stuff became weirdly half-legal. Cashier: You want just like a nice buzz or... Me: I want to keep a clear head but not feel my spinal nerve pain. Cashier: Oh, you want CBD, you ain't playin. Me: Exactly. Cashier: If it's for back pain, you might also like a couple of these lotions. *puts a couple on the counter* Me: This one has cinnamon oil in it, pretty far up the list. That's going to burn my skin. This one, though... ooh, it's got MSM in it. Cashier: What's MSM? Me: Methylsulfan- uh, it's a sulfur compound that penetrates the skin and carries other chemicals through with it. Better skin penetration for pain relief creams. Cashier: Dayyum. How do you know that? Me: I used to formulate stuff like this for myself. Cashier: Oh, okay, yeah. That makes sense. You look like someone who would be, you know... kinda an old-timey alchemist. Me: ... Me: ... Me: ...I think that's the nicest thing anybody has said to me all month, and there's been competition.

you groan in frustration, placing your pointer and thumb on the bride of your nose. your boss had just brought you another full stack of paper work to fill out an due, even though you were supposed to be getting off in 5 minutes.
you scrunch up your face pushing down tears it's not that you were sad, but you were just so stressed. Recently a lot had been pushed on your shoulders at work and with your family.
you pick up your phone then pressing taehyun contact. "hey baby, I'm gonna get home late tonight. my boss gave me more work and ordered me to do it now I'm sorry.." you spoke in almost a whisper as you were so exhausted. "y/n it's okay!! just call me on your way home. okay?" you agree before hanging up the phone.
Tumblr media
you finally burst through the door of your home. right at the door you are met with taehyun who gives you a soft kiss as a welcome home. "please let me help you destress. don't say you're fine because I know you're very stressed so let me help." taehyun spoke gently wrapping his arms around your hips.
you smiled at him softly "fire away." you responded plopping down onto the couch. taehyun smiled skipping off to the bathroom grabbing some your cbd massage oil.
taehyun placed himself on the couch behind you. he gently undid your suits tie , slipping off your shirt. he then squeezed some of the oil into his hands warming it up before attacking your stiff neck muscles.
you groaned in pain and pleasure, taehyun made small circles up and down your neck and shoulders. drawling lines with his thumbs loosening up your muscles. taehyun lightly started to kiss your neck ignoring the fact you still had oil on your skin.
"taehyun don't do this to me please just give me more already." you pleaded with him your breath a little heavy. taehyun listened and followed your instructions instantly. he positioned himself on the floor in front of you "order me around, I want to help you relief your stress." taehyun spoke firmly
"blow me." you responded, taehyun following your instructions. he undid your belt , slipping off your dress pants. you felt your heart beat slowly rise as taehyun continued to make advancements. the closer he got to your cock the harder your heart would beat.
taehyun took you into his mouth fully, slowly gliding up and down on your cock. he'd twirl and twist his tongue around your entire length humming softly to give you more pleasure.
this was almost too much for you to take usually you were the one blowing him not the other way around. but either way this act immediately made you slip into a sub mindset. your hips trembled and shook the quicker he bobbed his head.
you glanced down at taehyun nearly cumming at the sight. his blonde hair was perfectly layered in front of his eyes , you leaned your head back covering your mouth before moaning loudly. you couldn't help but buck your hips up into his mouth slowly becoming a whinnying mess. taehyun placed his hands onto your hips holding them down firmly taking a little bit more control of the situation. your hips pushed against his hands as you came into his mouth.
taehyun took a hard swallow before leaning up and kissing you gently. his hands floated to the sides of your face, cupping your cheeks and playing with your hair as he kissed you. "you're so perfect y/n." he whispered softly after breaking the kiss. as you slowly came back down from your high you felt more calm and reliefed.
"you know I think that actually helped me a lot. we should do that more often." you spoke smiling as you finally felt so calm.
Tumblr media
"someone's happy today." your coworkers spoke. you chuckled softly "Let's just say I had a stress reliving night." you smiled looking down into your coffee stirring it. "what ???" your coworker questioned, you couldn't help but laugh at your clueless coworker
Tumblr media
the end !! I really hope that was satisfactory!!

If you have chronic nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia) due to your broken wisdom tooth like I do, here’s my list of things to try for pain management. These things might help for other chronic or acute facial nerve pain issues, jaw pain, broken teeth, wisdom tooth pain, toothache, etc.
• Ibuprofen, Tylenol and most medications severely interact with my other conditions, especially my stomach conditions, so I avoid them as much as possible. Liquid versions aren’t as bad if I can find dye free, citric acid free, versions in flavors I’m not allergic to. These can help for a lot of people though, just ask your dr if you’re unsure.
• Brushing the broken area, gently, to clean out any food particles that might be stuck in it is hit or miss but can make a difference. It’s always sore for a while after brushing so that’s a con
• I make homemade clove tinctures with vodka and whole and ground cloves. I let it sit in a glass container in a cool, dark place for as long as possible and shake it when I see it (keep it with your spices you’ll remember it more). Then I take a gauze pad and get a dropper full and put it on it. Both cloves and vodka have anesthetic properties and can numb it for a bit. It’s a very temporary solution, also can cause soreness from pressure on the tooth.
• Hot pad on the cheek can cause soreness too (a running theme) BUT it helps a lot especially with cold sensitivity. After you remove the hot pad you can be extra sensitive to the cold or drafts in the air so that sucks too but it passes after a couple mins usually.
• Waterpik flossers are great for sensitive mouth issues, and clean out the tooth area with minimal soreness. Great but takes more spoons to do than toothbrushing and is less portable.
• CBD oil is hit or miss. I have other serious chronic pain disorders and just like many generalized pain management options, it can sometimes get rid of the headache I didn’t notice anymore or the joint pain I dissociate out of existence. Like yeah, glad thats gone but it just makes me focus on the other pain more. Some CBD options aren’t strong enough to do shit for me.
• Warm salt water gargle/rinse is helpful for me most of the time, and it is really important to keep any broken teeth very, very clean due to infection risk. The warmth and salt can help with the pain overall though and so far doesn’t have negative effects for me. It’s very mild in terms of managing the pain though, it’s like a soft gentle kiss on a boo-boo. Feels nice in the moment but when you’re done it usually just goes back to the pain your had.
• TENS units might work for you. I have several electrical abnormalities in my heart so I’m not allowed to use TENS but I’ve heard they can help. Definitely ask a dr first for this one though because I don’t know all the safety risks especially with facial pain
• Warm environments with no drafts or wind, ideal for this pain, for me is not ideal bc of my cardiac issues.
• Medical ultrasound machine, I’ve used these for other conditions in PT and they help a lot!! I don’t know if you can get these outside of a medical setting, especially for a reasonable price, but a provider might be able to help with this. There is the ultrasound goop they put on wherever they do it though so like, might not be fun and also might be a bit sore after?
• Last resort: adult beverages so I’m not paying attention to the pain. Works best for sleeping for me, but obviously has it’s drawbacks.
I avoid:
- Cold environments
- Drafts and wind on my face
- Cold foods
- Hard foods
- Sleeping on the side that hurts
- Chewing on that side
- Talking too much, chewing gum, etc.
- Going anywhere without at least one pain management option available
- Trying to sleep without a pain management option or plan ready to go
- Not brushing my teeth, at minimum I use mouthwash after meals
And some important reminders:
• Watch out for signs of infection and get treatment ASAP. Dental infections are no joke and can be life threatening quickly, especially if you have certain medical conditions such as heart valve disorders (like me).
• These recommendations are from personal experience, talk to your medical providers to see if they’re right for you. I am not a doctor just a humble chronically ill person.
• These are not a replacement for actual medical treatments for your condition, you should still see a professional if you can.
• Many insurances don’t cover dental, dental issues are more common amongst poor people, rooted in the idea that you can still work with fucked up teeth or without teeth . Hence why they’re called “luxury bones”

At a certain point you just want to throw your hands up and say "this is not my fucking problem anymore", and unfortunately in some cases you can't actually do that. But I'm so tired ... Just, emotionally, I'm completely exhausted and done; I feel incredibly taken advantage of and uncared for, honestly. And after the last incident last night prior to the fall, I'm also now filled with a blinding rage that still hasn't quite simmered down. I honestly don't know if it will.
@drinkbooksreadtea and @genderfluidgothwitch / @wanderlust-----witch got to hear about it a little last night, but because I had capped out my post limit for the day like a dumbo I didn't get to say anything about it broadly. But yesterday was just a shit sandwich (quite literally in some areas). My Mother in Law breaking her leg and pelvis was just the bright red screaming EMT cherry on top of a particularly bullshitier day than most. To summarize as briefly as possible, though:
I got woken up at 6 am yesterday (2 hours before my usual up time, which is not good on my Fibro) because we can't seem to get my Father in Law to understand that he is walking on the ceiling of our bedroom, and he walks like an Elephant constantly.
I was tired all day as a result. And I was in pain because it's been cold and raining, and the weather system keeps shifting- and my conditions are annoyingly sensitive to weather pressure, rain, and cold. But CBD and Pine Oil were only taking the edge off the pain barely. So I just had to suffer through it, because I can't be high while taking care of my Mother in Law.
Except I basically didn't take care of my Mother in Law yesterday because she had 2 appointments. Which I was informed about. But when we spoke about the 2nd one, I was told he'd be back at 11:30 to try and get out the door by "12:30 at the latest"- and then they'd be back "at or around 2:30". Which did not give me enough time to nap, because I know my body. If I'd fallen asleep, I wouldn't've woken up by the time they were back, as tired as I was. Except they weren't back when he said they'd be. They were back almost 2 hours later, at near 4. So I stayed awake, bone exhausted, in pain, and completely sober, for nothing.
That's ok, though, because my Husband got off work early. Maybe I can finally get a nap, take a gummy, and chill! But for some reason, the second he gets off work, in rapid succession: He takes the Dog out with him when he goes to smoke, lets the dog back in while he checks on Mom ⇾ Dog vomits at the top of the stairs without me hearing her and I step in vomit going to check on dinner in the crock pot, and have to clean it up ⇾ I go to the bathroom after, and his mom's had an accident at some point and stuffed both her underwear and her diaper in the toilet to hide it like a toddler. So now in order to piss I've gotta clean up all the adult shit all over the bathroom and fish those out of the toilet ⇾ Come back downstairs and throw the underwear and towels in the wash ⇾ Step in another mysteriously appearing pile of dog vomit ⇾ Hobble step from that one right into a mysterious third pile ... And fall on my ass.
At that point I snap and just wind up sobbing on the Basement floor for two hours, my last thread having just completely severed for the day. So my Husband cleans up the two new piles of dog vomit for me and gets my pants off, cleans my feet, and gets me new pants ... And the second he gets done with that, the dog vomits a fourth time; she literally has not been fed yet today and is vomiting up giant piles of half digested dog food. The only thing we can surmise is that someone must've thrown something over our fence- and I will fucking murder them the second I find them.
That's all fine, though, right? Because at this point it's 6:30 and my Father in Law should be back in half an hour for the night ... Oh, except he comes home for 5 minutes to change and then go to a fucking church meeting half an hour away, that he didn't inform us he was going to go to, and which he really shouldn't be going to. But priorities, amiright? Gotta go talk to God and Congregation, because Sundays aren't enough. Nevermind that your Wife has Cancer and needs care, and won't let my Husband or I change her shit stained clothing she's been laying in for hours!
Nevermind that the person doing the main amount of care for her right now is also the other disabled person in the house, who is currently in pain and recovering from an injury that made them completely unable to walk- after already having a bad luck string of illnesses that left them bedbound for the last 2 / 3 months (what is math? I've given up now). And nevermind that they currently have another communicable illness and honestly shouldn't be around someone with a severely compromised immune system right now. It also doesn't really matter that the longer they're forced to care for her, the more they risk reinjuring their own current injury, to the point where they literally can't stand anymore without their Piriformis muscle immediately seizing and spasming. This is what family does!
He was maybe been home for like 40 minutes when the whole fall thing happened.
