Loeb & Loeb Kessel IIb - "The Ghosts of Fallen Nations"
Tumblr media
Role: Fighter-Bomber Served With: UWF, Gotha First Flight: 1582 Strengths: Surprisingly Agile Weaknesses: Slow Inspiration: Caudron G.4 (1915)
Description:
The L&L Kessel I served as a bomber and observer for the East Lohner People’s Republic, and, after the annexation of the ELPR by the UWF, Salomon and Kurt Loeb were conscripted and encouraged to produce a successor.
The Kessel II was one of the first successful twin engined aircraft in the early years of the war, serving in the same roles, but by 1583 their speed and power advantages had been entirely surpassed and most were divested to local militias or for use as a civil utility aircraft, as its forward seat could be used by police watchmen, cartographers, touring celebrities, and so forth.
After the end the wide distribution of these aircraft and their ability to use nearly any powerplant made them popular as multiroles, especially since the unique tail structure and warping wings make them remarkably manoeuvrable for a bomber. Many were left in the dead cities, though the Scholz Luchs X 10-cylinder radial engines on the Kessel IIb are remarkably easy to restore to working order for anyone who might want one…

C1720, Caudron G.IV (1915), Musee de l'Air, Le Bourget, 05-06-2022 by Gordon Riley Via Flickr: The Caudron G4 was the first twin-engine combat aircraft commissioned in military aeronautics in November 1915. It took part in day and night bombing missions beyond the Rhine. The ace René Fonck , before switching to hunting, won several victories aboard his Caudron G4 on which he installed a fixed machine gun. Until 1916, the G4 was also used to escort other slower aircraft. Used until the end of the conflict, it is found in the Italian and English armies and within the American Expeditionary Corps . Robust and easy to fly, it is very appreciated by the Italian forces who use it above the mountains because of its climbing speed. In civilian life, it was used by airmen Poulet and Benoist who made the France-Burma connection (Paris-Ragoon) from October 14 to November 30, 1919 , i.e. 11,000 km, in 150 flight hours and 24 stages.

I would love to know the route SJM will take to have elucien tackle the koschei plotline.
With my re-read we see that the bone carver was the first one to mention koschei in acowar. And Elain saw visions of him and of vassa in acowar as well, connecting her to koschei.
We learned that koschei, the bone carver & the weaver are all siblings who came into the world of prythian long ago from a different one.
Koschei is a death god who was so powerful that he couldn’t be defeated/killed and had to be tricked in order to contain him to the lake on the continent.
The bone carver, a death god himself that is feared across prythian, feared koschei and the weaver. He said that his siblings are way stronger than what he ever was and he also said that the weavers powers were diminished. And the whole reason he’s in the prison is so he can hide from his siblings.
He also stated that koschei still has considerable influence despite being contained and that if Feyre really knew his siblings like he did, living in the prison for eternity was a better option than having to face them.
What has koschei done and what powers does he posses for a sibling, who is also feared, to be afraid of him.
We know the nesta has the dread trove, Atraxia (a death sword) and now Gywndion. Which are all death weapons, but if koschei is considered death, can he really be killed by death weapons?
I would really love to know how koschei was tricked into being contained to the lake. Why are there are birds of white gliding at the lake. Why was vassa turned into a fire bird instead. Why did koschei decide to give vassa up temporarily and why it doesn’t seem he’s in a hurry for her to come back. Him stating “Tell my vassa I’m waiting.” Doesn’t seem like an urgent request to me.
Lucien explained that Papa Archeon managed to cut a deal between koschei to temporarily let vassa go. The question is, what was the price papa Archeon had to pay for that? I know a lot of people think Elain but I really hope her father didn’t make a shitty decision like that, especially since it seemed like Elain was his favorite. I can’t even 100% remember if Lucien was there and he saw the deal go down or he found them eventually.
Also this has me thinking about what Elain saw in acowar. And it wonder if what she saw was something we will encounter in each spin off book.
Elain stated in acowar. “I saw young hands whiter with age”, so we know that was Briallyn and how she went into the Caudron but ended up turning old instead of young and and nesta dealt with her in acosf.
Elain proceeded to say, “I saw a box of black stone.” She also stated that “theres a black box he posses, it’s more vital than anything, save for the girls.” Ramiel has that black stone on top of it, and SJM has been hinting that something is underneath ramiel. Could it be the same type of stone?
Then Elain finally stated. “I saw a feather of fire land on snow and melt it.” And she also said that koschei keeps other girls at the lake but their feathers are white as snow and they glide across the water. We know vassa is the fire bird and I think the girls are swans and I know a lot of people theorize that Elain’s story will be a swan lake retelling.
Vassa in acosf told us that koschei has no death waiting for him, he’s truly immortal. That she fears him leaving his lake and taking over their world like he tried to do once before. I have seen people theorize that Elain has life powers and I wasn’t 100% on board with it until this re-read. But now to me it makes sense, because if koschei is deathless, what can kill death? Life and we know Elain’s journey will include koschei.

ACOTAR 5: A Frozen and Moana Retelling
By @wingedblooms and @silverlinedeyes
Note: this is mainly a joke based on @wingedblooms amazing Ramiel meta and we were cracking up at the idea, but Sarah has toddlers so I CAN SEE IT lmao
Cast of Characters
Te Fiti/Arendelle: Wyrd whose soul is in Prythian (the heart of which is in Ramiel)
Ta’ka/the eternal winter: the barren parts of Prythian
The Heart of Te Fiti: the Cauldron
Elsa/Maui: The Asteri (I think? TBD honestly)
Anna and Kristoff/Moana and Maui: Elain and Azriel
Love: well, love (or Elain’s life giving or healing powers)
A Plot Summary
A long time ago in a land far far away (Prythian) Wyrd birthed the land. To give life to the land, her spirit was entrapped in the cauldron, and that cauldron was hidden in the heart of Prythian: Ramiel.
Tumblr media
One day, the land was invaded by evil beings called Daglan, though we now know they were Asteri. And the Asteri stole the spirit of Wyrd for themselves and corrupted it.
Tumblr media
This corruption caused a plague to ripple through the land, killing mountain after mountain (like how death killed island after island in Moana—see where we’re going here?)
Tumblr media
This set off an eternal winter (“you kind of set off an eternal winter”) in Illyria that could only be prevented by the Blood Rite feeding life and magic back into the land to temporarily bring back spring, only for the land to fall into a deep winter again that it seemed could not be broken until the Rite was done anew.
Tumblr media
Never fear though! Elain and Azriel are going to go on a journey to figure out what is wrong with the land. They might even have to go to Hel or maybe the Middle (either one would be Lalotai—the land of monsters) and back to find answers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They will have to face whatever evil lurks within the land, leeching it of life, and whatever evil has corrupted the cauldron.
Tumblr media
And ultimately, they will discover that love (or maybe, you know, Elain’s lifesinging magic or healing magic) can thaw a frozen “heart” and remove the corruption from the cauldron (a la Yrene in ToD and KoA using healing powers to remove the Valg parasite?), restoring the heart of Prythian—i.e. the Caudron and Wyrd’s spirit—to the land and cause spring to bloom again.
Tumblr media
Oh and how could I forget—Elain and Az will discover true love (true mates?!) for each other along the way.
Tumblr media
THE END.
#you’re welcome 🤣🤣

[Vignette + rambling of the design bellow]
Will: Grim has been really interested in this museum, I thought he would whine more to be honest, but I guess not, the great seven are something he really is interested in....
Grim: HENCHMEN! Come take a look!
Will: hm? What is it?
Tumblr media
Grim: are you seeing this guy, he was the thorn witch henchman! It says here he was the only capable being of her army, and he's just a raven!
Will: hm... he found someone she was looking for 16 years, her goons didn't take in consideration that said person ages as time goes on... so he got one more braincell than normal?
Grim: exactly! I heard from Tsunotarou he was extremely loyal too! He is a great role model to you
Will: me?!
Grim: if course! You are my henchman after all! You gotta step up and learn from good examples hehehe
Will: why does this feel like you are mocking me...
Grim: aw don't worry, you are already plenty smarter than one bird brain we know of :)
Will: .... the bar is that low to ya isn't it?
---
Grim: what a weird corridor.... it isn't as fancy as the rest of the museum
Will: I think we shouldn't be here
Grim: nahhh you are just scared! We are benefactors! We gotta see all that the museum has to offer right?! Comon' it's a special year! It's 100 anniversary don't be a scared kitty
Will: says the talking cat
Grim: I AM NOT A CAT! - ohhhh who's that?
Tumblr media
Will: the plate says "the dark mountain demon, a being once said to rule over the night and it's spirits, he slept by day and reighned caos by night"
Grim: he looks like he's the size of that mountain! Do you think I'm gonna grow that big?
Will: I hope not or else not even a truck of tuna cans will satiate your hunger
---
Will: I think we should get back Grim, it doesn't look like we should be here
Grim: yeah... the lights are really week here... FUGNYA! WHO IS THAT!
Will: that's just a... ohhh... ok yeah the red eyes are kinda creepy, but it's just a painting... a... very old painting... and unkempt too....
Tumblr media
Grim: no wonder they don't want to put it were everyone can see, he's ugly.... and scary- NOT THAT I'M SCARED OF COURSE!
Will: "the caudron king"-Deuce's rival got it- "once a powerful magician with a caudron that could rise the dead..." I can't read the rest the plate is too damaged
Grim: powerful magician? Do you think he was that strong? He's just bones
Will: Epel said the same thing of Vil's physical power and look were that got him
Grim: hey... will... doesn't the eyes of this paint look... that... they are following us....?
Will: .... WHAT A NICE PAITING OVER THERE IN A LIGHTER CORRIDOR I THINK IT'S THE QUEEN OF HEARTS LET'S GO OVER THERE
Grim: right behind you!
----------
Wil's pose was based on this scene of the official 100 year anniversary art were the characters are in a "disney" artstyle
Tumblr media
Grim looks like he was tossed into the air and is looking at carter's camera like the heartslabyul crew, so one of Will's hand looks like it's tosing something up and the other a peace sigh
