Currently really enjoying Castelvania: Nocturne. It more melodramatic then the previous part (chapter?), and I personally prefer my drama and angst to be contrasted by moments of humor and brightness, but we had 4 seasons of that and I am glad they are doing something different.

Alucard Tepes x Male!reader

The library of the castle was dimly lit by the glow of the moonlight filtering through the dusty windows. The air was thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustling of pages turning as you read quietly at one of the wooden desks. The musty scent of ancient books permeated the area, giving off an eerie atmosphere fitting for the castle's history.

Feeling a chill run down your spine, you jump slightly as something cold encircles your neck. Your heart skips a beat, but you quickly realize it's just Alucard standing behind you. You relax and return to your book.

His hands rest gently on your shoulders before moving to wrap around your chest, leaning on you. You can feel his cool lips press against your neck, sending another shiver down your spine, but this time it's from the pleasant sensation.

"It's late," he murmurs softly in your ear, placing another chaste kiss under your ear. "You should be in bed."

"I couldn't sleep," you respond, your voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry if I woke you."

You hear a low chuckle as he nuzzles closer to get a look at the book laid open on the table.

"You didn't wake me," he says softly. "What are you reading?" He sounds genuinely curious now, resting his chin on your shoulder to glance at it's contents. When he sees that it's about fungi, his amusement grows evident. "Fungi? That's quite the nighttime reading."

"They've always been calming to me," you say, continuing to trace the lines of the drawing on the page with your fingertip. "There's something comforting about their simple existence—consuming, growing, spreading…"

Listening intently, Alucard smiles warmly at your words, charmed by your fascination with the seemingly mundane topic. He can't help but find your interests adorable. "Is that right?" he asks softly, brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear.

You nod before turning your head to look at him. "Is there anything that calms you…when you're feeling restless?"

Your question lingers in the air as Alucard contemplates his answer. Instead of answering immediately, he turns his gaze towards the window, lost in thought. The silence stretches on for a moment before he finally meets your gaze. And when he does, his expression is different; warmer, almost nostalgic.

"Yes…there is."

But instead of elaborating further, he remains silent once more, leaving you wondering.

Feeling a little confused, you turn your attention back to the book, waiting for him to elaborate. However, the longer the silence drags on, the more your mind starts connecting dots you hadn't before. Realization slowly dawns on you, causing heat to rise to your cheeks as you avoid looking at him.

"O-Oh...." you stammer, feeling silly for taking so long to figure it out.

At your reaction, he smirks playfully, "Oh?" he teases lightly, hiding a chuckle.

He doesn't waste any time in sliding his cold hands over yours, pulling them away from the book and gently places them over his chest, drawing your attention to him. Underneath your fingers, you can feel the steady rhythm of his beating heart.

It's faint, but beats regardless.

"Did you really need to ask?" he asks softly, meeting your gaze again with a knowing smile on his lips.

"I guess not," you reply, unconsciously leaning closer to him without realizing it.

Seeing your action, Alucard squeezes your hands reassuringly before leaning in himself. Your lips met halfway—his cold ones contrasting sharply with yours. As they collide, you feel a sudden chill spread through you as his cold seeps into your body, stealing your warmth.

The kiss deepened, and his grip tightened around your waist as he pulled you closer, pressing you against him firmly.

After everything, there was still an emptiness within him, but somehow sharing this small part of yourself helped fill that void—if only briefly.

A little idea I had. I HC Adrian as an artist and enjoys drawing and painting on his free time.

Fandom: Castlevania Pairing: Alucard/Adrian Tepes x GN! Reader Word count: 300+ words Warnings: 16+, Fluff, Slightly suggestive if you squint

Enjoy ~

Sitting on Alucard’s bed you’re flipping through his sketchbooks. You admire and make comments on the beautiful sceneries and portraits he’d captured over the years.

Stepping out of the room for a moment he leaves you alone just as you finish looking over the final sketch of his last finished book.

Setting it atop the others you walk over to his desk and pick up a leather bound portfolio filled with loose sheets of parchment, each coated in color and pencil scratches. You recognize a few of his most recent works till you find yourself in your hands.

“If you’re interested you can look through-.”

Alucard walks into you smiling with sweet amusement, cutting himself off he looks at you with a mixture of shock and embarrassment.

“You draw me when I’m sleeping now?” You ask, holding the portrait in front of you. You chuckle at his flushed cheeks as he scratches the back of his neck.

“No I- well.” A nervous laugh falls from his lips as you take your spot back on the bed. “I didn’t think you’d find that so-.”

“Adrian, I’m not mad. It’s kinda cute, in a sweet stalker kinda way.” He laughs at that.

“I couldn’t help it, capturing beauty on paper is a hobby I enjoy.”

“And that’s why you drew me?” You already knew the answer, you just wanted to hear him say it.

“Yes.” He smiles as he strides towards you from the door. “Although, I could never do you justice. That kind of beauty is impossible to imitate.” Leaning down he captures your lips in a quick kiss.

Pulling away with the parchment in one hand and the other resting behind you in a reclined position you look up with another grin.

“Okay but why am I asleep, did you never think to ask me while I'm awake to pose for you?”

“Well, you looked so peaceful in the moment but if you’re willing to be my subject, I’d love that.”

“Oh yeah? Then how do you want me, what's my artist’s vision?” You ask laying back fully, your lower lip caught between your teeth.

Taking the paper from your hand, setting it aside, Alucard crawls over you and cages you under him, gently sweeping your hair back.

“Anyway you’d like.” With a kiss to your cheek he whispers with his only request.

“Naked.”
