Post-FGL | Ritsuka holds Rokka’s hand. 「じゃね」
“Idiot! I’ll remember you!”
Even as it was her last line to him, saying it... felt heavy. Even before she came here and sensed his presence, she had prepared herself for another hello and another goodbye.
(Someone her pushed her into the light, saying that he was going to wait outside of this bubble of a universe.)
And she knew, deep down, that Ritsuka, this Ritsuka, understood.
He understood and smiled at her before she and Eli left.
As her Servant in this Universe, the singer and idol who was one of the few to answer her calls in her timeline faded away into gold dust, smiling at her so sweetly like she did before in Orleans after her first Singularity.
After traversing through space, and emptiness with no concept of time, so much like the inside of her friend’s abyssal stomach, she found herself becoming a commentator and announcer for a fun little baseball game.
To see her friends again after so long-
She could barely hold back her high five from seeing her friend, her offer of a drink with I-chan, a cook off with her Super Cook, and another banter with her stupid but beloved Shachou...
...What a long journey.
She really had missed this.
Yet she takes a deep breath, as Rokka approaches the gates, her headset now set aside, her duties done, no purpose left-
“Wait!”
A hand clutches at her own, alerting her of the person that tugged her back into the arena before she herself vanished from this world and slowly disappeared into the void.
“What...?” She couldn’t help her confusion, her thundering heartbeat loud in her ears. “H-Hey! You guys just won the match remember!” She tried to smirk and wriggle her hand away from Ritsuka’s grasp. “If you want another match with me being the commentator again, wait ‘till next year, you idiot!”
Pain. She can see the pain in his eyes, and it was hurting her as well.
He let go of her wrist and took a step back, with a hand going up to rub his nape, “S-Sorry! After our victory against the Crypters, I got swarmed with our Servants with congratulations and I wasn’t able to catch up to you...”
Rokka rolls her eyes with a smile, “Dude, you should take this chance to take pictures of them. I mean, have you seen Cas and Morgan? What about Gray and Reines? They were so cute! This is the only chance you’re gonna see them in baseball attire after a-”
She stilled.
Wait. Our?
Her silence after that brief pause stretched.
As if sensing her thoughts, Ritsuka smiled softly, both of his hands now reaching forwards to hold her own.
Rokka could only hold her breath.
From the cheers and merriment of the Servants, the fireworks that continued to pop and decorate the sky, and the lights of the stadium all became mere background noise as clock struck half past 11′o clock.
Dao. Ritsuka squeezes her hands in a reassuring grip, “Even though they bear the same voice and faces, they aren’t the same.”
...Was it really? She was just a different Master with a different gender. She knew as soon as looking at Ritsuka that their experiences were completely identical that it was hard to tell which is which.
But he was right.
These people weren’t the ones who she shared a meal with, who she played games and stayed up all night with, who she went to many Singularities and Lostbelts with, who she fought with and against.
These Servants are not hers, nor does she belong to them.
A calloused but warm hand cups her cheek, wiping away a tear that slid down her cheek.
“Even so, you love them, right?” Dao’s smile. His smile was enough to make her tears now continuously flow.
His smile turns into a grin, a grin she knew well and used after a winning a victory hard-earned, “After all, you’re Ritsuka Fujimaru too!”
Oh.
It’s been so long since someone called her by that name.
...Who knew the person who would call her by that is none other than a guy version of her.
She laughs, snorts, and brushes the flowing tears away as Rokka was pulled into a hug.
Ah, she didn’t wanna ruin his cool jersey... but to hell with it. They’ve only got a few minutes left.
Rokka clutches at his shirt as she smiles and cries against his chest, “Ugh, it’s supposed to be April Fools.”
It’s supposed to end in fun and games. In pleasant surprise and laughter.
Not... not like this.
He read her again, and smiled against her red-orange hair, “I don’t mind. We didn’t even pay you after being out oh-so spectacular announcer after all.”
Rokka hit his arm playfully, laughter in between her words, “Stop that! You sound like Oberon!”
“Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten our talent in voice-acting?” Ritsuka tilted her chin up, so that she was gazing into a cool-blue gaze.
She blushed. So there was no helping that pinch on his arm as she puffed her cheeks, “Of course I remember! Didn’t you remember the time we had to imitate Herc during a singularity...”
--
Life is a series of helloes and goodbyes.
Even if you say ‘goodbye’ now, I’m sure we’ll meet again.
Surely, oneday. Someday. In a world where we could smile and laugh together and walk side by side.

listen I love DAO, DA2, and DAI very much and will replay all three on repeat but DAO really spoiled me with the whole "origins" part, something DA2 and DAI severely lack.
In DAO, you get to play through one of six origins that show how you got recruited to the Grey Wardens and affects how you play. I play as a Tabris and that plays a part in every decision she makes from how she views the Grey Wardens as a whole, who she romances, what she does with Loghain at the landsmeet, etc. It's incredible because that origin you get adds so much to the immersion each playthrough.
But then there's DA2 which I do adore with all my heart, but I can't lie, the first time I played it was very much "Oh, I have to be this human named Hawke? and the only differences in backstory really come from whether I'm a mage or not ...Ugh, okay, but only because you showed me Carver and now I'm attached, I'll keep playing, I'm sure nothing bad will happen to him."
And then DAI, which I also adore, comes along and just, "Okay pick who you wanna be. Great, here's a paragraph detailing your backstory, but you get to start in the same spot no matter who you make your Inquisitor to be, have fun."
It's not like it's a deal breaker that we can't play through an origin first before jumping into the main story. The player can take that element into their hands to make up for it. We see it all the time with players sharing the upbringings and family dynamics for their Hawke, or fully fleshing out their Inquisitor and why they were at the conclave in the first place.
I think DA2 does this a little better since at least it feels like Hawke had a life before Kirkwall. Your mother and survivng sibling are reminders of that life, as are every mention of your dead sibling and father. You're always reminded that you're a Fereldan refugee. You lost everything to the blight and now you have to rebuild yourself up in a new city.
But the Inquisitor? A lot of times it feels like the Inquisitor didn't even exist until they fell out of the sky. Sure, Cassandra can ask you where you're from or Josephine will ask you questions about your life prior, but that's about it. it's so unfortunate because DAI was the perfect set up for a origin stories the same way DAO was; what lead the Inquisitor to be at the conclave? What specifically put them there?
The first time I played DAI, I didn't put much thought into my Inquisitor. It took me playing through DAO and DA2 and starting a replay of DAI to actually figure out my Inquisitor and you know what I ended up doing?
I used a DAO origin.
Yeah, we know that all the wardens exist and the player picking their character decides where Duncan will be to recruit them and the others are just shit outta luck. I decided my Lavellan's actually Surana who escaped the circle with Jowan and she eventually joined the Dalish and adopted a new name after he died. Lemme tell you, roleplaying that as my Inquisitor's backstory makes everything in DAI just 10x better.
Every staff Ash crafts is named after Jowan. She wasn't born Dalish but her cover story says she was, and she slips up a lot. Her accent doesn't sound typically Dalish. Threnn tells her "Loghain was super cool actually" and Ash flashes back to when Jowan was taken by Loghain's men and when she tracked him down to Redcliffe only to find out Loghain planted him there to poison the arl, he was caught and tortured by the arl's wife, she begged a pair of wardens to let him go if they found him.
Ash is very against blood magic after it eventually killed Jowan and she isn't shy about expressing it. So you know Varric pulled my Hawke, a blood mage, aside like, "Listen, keep the blood magic stuff to yourself, the Inquisitor has a thing about it." and Edgar just gives a thumbs up and keeps going, "man, blood magic bad, amirite?"
Every conversation Ash has with Solas and Vivienne is just her biting her tongue and forcing out, "...yeah, okay." She knows the Chantry and Circles are bullshit but can't go off about it because hmmm, you know an awful lot about this for being Dalish?
Ash and Cullen see each other again after ten years and both just, "Hmm... you look famil...liar.......... oh no."
But that's my point: If I'm going to replay DAI, I boot up DAO first. I play through the mage origin as Ash, and as soon as Jowan runs off screen, I quit out of the game to boot up DAI with a little "Ten Years Later" mumble to myself, and it's so much better.
Honestly if I could find a way to incorporate an unused origin into my Hawke's backstory, I probably would! Because DAO knew what it was doing and it's super effective. I can't gush about DAO enough, I swear.
I can only cross my fingers that DA4 y'know, goes back to it's origins.

sul sul! hello everyone! my name is alana, i'm brazilian, 27yo this sunday 11th (yes, a gemini) and i'm trying this blog thing again!
i've been asnsims for a while now but i forgot my password and email and can't login anymore lol. it's actually fine because i've been pretty absent in there… the sims has been my escape for anxiety but the last few months it was the opposite of that. i felt guilty playing so i stopped playing and stopped posting and stopped making things that gave me pleasure to punish myself for not being as productive as i thought i was supposed to be. all of it occured after i moved to a new city and tried a new job, been completely taken from my comfort zone and safe environment so it's been kinda rough.
ANYWAYS i want to believe i'm back now!
if you like building on ts4 and cas related content, please follow me and i promise i'll follow you back!
i'll try some gameplay posts as well, but i'm thinking in doing so in pt-br cause i feel more confident typing in portuguese (my english is not that good, sorry).
i also like stardew valley, mo dao zu shi, mahalia and the color green very much, just so you know a few random things about me!
please reblog so i can know more lovely people like you! ♡

Who would be your favourite and least favourite romance options from the first three DA games?
Can you romance in Awakening????? Wait or do you mean DAI. I think of DAI as fifth.
Uh. In every game but DA2 it might depend on my pc. I play super immersive so I pick who the person I’m pretending to be would like. I did romance Alistair, Anders, and Lace. If you mean I, R, as myself? Mmmmm for DAO, Alistair or Zevran. Or platonic life partners with Sten & go to Par Volen. For DA2, Anders (and Justice). Easy. Always. No question. I’m literally in love with him. [honorable mention even though I’d literally never pick someone over my husband: Isabela. Glow-up, Queen, my bestie. Dtf you’re my second choice girl]. For DAI? Probably no one. Your odds of surviving the next six years are so low it seems like I wouldn’t want to do that to someone. Maybe Lace??? If I had to choose? She’s hot she has sound ethics and she’s funny, as far as her limited screen time tells me? Krem if he was an option but he ain’t ✊😔 if we’re counting Awakening then …? Idk I haven’t thought about that bc I was already romancing someone from DAO and not a cheat. I’ll think on that. Or—Anders I guess?
EDIT: shit, missed least favorite. Uhhhh. That’s really hard for Origins? I love them all. /if/ I was choosing in the context of later games, maybe Lelianna least favorite to date simply because I would be like “How the hell could I have failed her during DA2-DAI so hard as to let her be manipulated into committing war crimes for the church” and it would just make me too ooc. For DA2, Sebastian, duh. Fuck that guy. I’d love to kill him though. For DAI…? Uhhh. Let me remember who even is bc I played a Qunari man & only had 4 options hang on. Uhhh I guess bottom of the pile would be Cas and Dorian? The slavery apologism is fucked up from both (whether Cas calls tranquility that or not - plus the other xenophobia) and as far as flaws go are the highest level of incompatibility with myself. If we count Trespasser which I try to forget exists bc it shouldn’t; it ruined the game and butchered one of their best characters, then Trespasser!Solas, because active Genocidal Fantasy White Supremacist beats out the other flaws for most repulsive.

Education Flashcard - Past (1)
The first part examines the past social prejudices and preconceived notions when people are discussing about education through idioms (or “ca dao tục ngữ” in Vietnamese). I was looking at particularly Vietnamese idioms so I tried to find a medium to properly display both the Vietnamese version and the translation. This led me to the time when I was studying for English tests, we would use these flashcards in order to memorize words and its translation. Also, I used a wire to connect them so it is expandable with more idioms from other cultures too.
---
Education, for me, has always been the ultimate goal in my career. As a Vietnamese, my experience with education itself was rather harsh and meaningless. “What is education? Is it important? Why do I find myself clueless when interacting with education? Why do I need to learn this? What is the point of all of this?” were some of the questions that I have always been asking myself whenever I think about education. However, in this particular project, I did not intend to look up for the answers; rather, I want to ask those questions and I want the viewers to ask those questions together coming up with their own questions related to their experiences. For me, design has always been like that. It is more about raising question and provoking change through those questions rather than confirming and propagating the preconceived notions. And I intend to do just that in this project.
Moreover, I also want to tell my own story through this project, using a set of designed objects. As you know, Viet Nam has a long history of colonization, and education plays a pivotal role in it. Although our country has been unified for more than 30 years, the education system itself has not changed a bit. It is the education system that was once implemented on us in order to rule and govern us as slave and now it is still looking at us, students as its slaves. The education goal is not to guide us through life or make us a better version of ourselves but to make us listen and be tolerant. There is absolutely nothing wrong about it but to what extent? Our voices are invalidated and our rights are stripped off. We are taught to listen, not to question. We are taught to be tolerant, not to stand up against. And we are taught to become robots, not to be humans.
My main goal for this project, as I mentioned, is to critically question about the education system itself, my education itself. Through my story, I also want the viewers, the readers to relate to their own story and question their own education as well. What do you believe in? And what form should education take? I believe these questions don’t have a definite answers to it but rather very subjective. Therefore, it is not the answer that is important, but the question is more crucial.

Final part of my top 100 favorite characters
10 – Percy Jackson
A books series I loved as a preteen, and I loved the main character. It’s been a while since I read, so it’s not so easy to organize my toughts and feelings about the character to tellwhat I loved about him, but maybe I’ll do it in the future
9 – Nie Huaisang (Mo Dao Zu Shi)
If I remeber correctly, the very first thing WWX told us about NHS in the novel was that he was inteligente/wasn’t stupid (it was a scene where someone was telling WWX about the repuation of the Sect Leader Nie as the Headshaker, so WWX’s inner monologue was a response to that). Then, in WWX’s memories of Cloud Recess, we see NHS plotting to cheat in the exams and convincing WWX of doing the work for him. One of the very few changes/additions in the live action I actually liked was that scene where he and WWX first met and he talks about how he captured that bird. The reveal in the ending wasn’t really obvious or expected, at least not to me, but it’s not like it came from nowhere either. Teenage NHS already had some of the personality traits that would be “revealed” later on, but not the motivation of doing anything great with this.
8 – Tomie
From the works of Junji Ito. I find her fascinating as a character and as a concept. First of all, she is a chaotic villain, is simply entertaining to read about her, so I woud like the character even if it didn’t go any further. But there’s something deeper that fascinates me about her, that I won’t go into Much detail now, because I intend to write a separated post with my Tomie essay. But there’s something about how the stories lay out and how inevitable it Always feels, not Only to Tomie’s victims, but to Tomie herself.
7 - Sans (Undertale)
This character got a bad reputation due to horny fans in the peak of the game’s popularity. Even so, I love him in the game. The mistery, his personality, his judgments. I love howthe reason why the possibly most powerful character in the game has a painfully beliavable reason to not act in his full potential. How pointless everything seems to him, how hopeless he must feel. That “just give up. I did” line in the pacifista route. And also his monologue in the genocide route battle about the player’s motivation to keep playing the genocide route “...because you think you ca. And because you ‘can’, you ‘have to’”
6 – Sal Fisher (Sally Face)
I loved this game and Episode Four broke me. Sal was such a likeable character, he Always made my heart warm, and his friendhip with Larry was so sweet.
5 – Luo Qingyang (Mo Dao Zu Shi)
One of the things that annoy me the most about the live action i show they LQY so Much she could as well be an original character. She was such a great character in the novel, despite having so few scenes. I already made a post about how she was a narrative parallel to WWX and WJL. She was amazing and had one of the better endings/lifes in the story. Good for her.
4 - Lelouch Lamperouge/Lelouch vi Britannia (Code Geass)
My personal history of problematic faves goes far. I remember how many nights I spent comparing him to Light Yagami, trying to understand why I loved Lelouch so Much while I hated Light so much When both characters are so similar. And I remeber how frustrating it was to try to find someone analysing/comparing this characters, because I could Only find debates about who’s smarter, wich is not importante. Was Lelouch right? Did he had the right to do the things he did? Not really, but he had a better understanding of humanity than Light, and actually tough about the causes ofthe violence, instead of only repressing the symptons. He was an interesting character with a lot of emotion.
3 – Okumura Rin (Ao no Exorcist)
He was impulsive and sounded rude a lot of times, but had a kind heart, despite his tendency to violence. That’s one thing I find interesting about him, that fans often overlooked, is that he wasn’t naturally kind, he learned to be kind, and it wasn’t easy. It’s not because he had a good nature, it’s because he putted the effort on that, and he did so because his father believed he could. He actually told little Rin that if he tred hard to be kind to people, he would become kind. I just love that scene of small Rin being vioent and believing he coudn’t be good and his father saying this. It’s surprinsigly rare to fiction tell us that we’re not doomed to be bad people just because being nice doesn’t come naturally to us.
2 – Original Shen Qingqiu/Shen Jiu (Scum Villain Self Saving System)
A very tragic and complex character, undeniably my favorite svsss character, and it’s not because I have anything against SY
1 – Wei Wuxian (Mo Dao Zu Shi)
Am I confidente to say that WWX is my favorite character from all times? Yes, absolutely. I love him so much, I don’t even know how to exlain how much I love him. I’m so glad he got his happy ending, he deserved it.

Ca Tru Singing Hanoi – Quintessence In The Heart Of The Capital
It is said that one of the fastest and best way to understand and get closer into the local way of life is music. Travelling to the ancient capital of Vietnam gives you the ample chance to admire the authentic and enticing traditional folk song – ca tru singing Hanoi. Have you ever heard of that? Keep on exploring!
Tumblr media
1. Ca Tru singing Hanoi at glance:
Origin of ca tru singing Hanoi:
Ca tru which literally means tally card song is such a special type of music in Vietnam. Its name varies in each province in Vietnam like: a dao singing, cua dinh singing, cua quyen singing, co dau singing, nha to, nha tro or ca cong singing, depending on where ca tru is performed.
Tumblr media
Ca tru singing is originated from the folk song connected with several folk song games and folk shows. Thus, ca tru singing is considered as an exclusive synthesis art combining various, sophisticated and harmonious features of poetry, music and sometimes dancing.
Ca tru singing Hanoi appeared in the 11th century and was popularized nationwide from 15th century. It was not until the 20th century, ca tru singing was widely well-known thanks to the voice of singer Quach Thi Ho. Going through many ups and downs in the history, ca tru singing nowadays is still preserved as a high-level traditional folk song in terms of aesthetics. In 2009, ca tru singing was claimed as one of the World’s Intangible Heritage by UNESCO.
Tumblr media
Currently, there are 63 ca tru singing clubs in 14 provinces in Vietnam. When visiting the capital, remember to take this great chance to admire the art singing in your Hanoi Day Tour.
2. About the singers and musical instrument players:
A band of ca tru singing has three people: a female vocalist (often called as “dao” of “ca nuong” in Vietnamese), a male instrumentalist and a male musician (called “kep” and “quan vien” in Vietnamese respectively). They all wear Vietnamese traditional “ao dai” during the performance. The female singer sits in the middle, sings the song of the musician and plays castanets of the beat. This instrument is called “phach” which includes two wooden sticks beaten together on a small bamboo bar. People say that it takes 6 months to learn phach.
Tumblr media
The male instrumentalist supports her with playing “dan day”. The musician (normally the composer of the song) sits together and beats “chau” drum to show his feeling about the performance. More interestingly, if the musician beats “chau” drum one, meaning he’s complimenting on the performance. If he beats the drum twice, it means disapproval. So how about you? Will you give a thumb-up for this performance?
3. Ca tru singing techniques:
A beginner normally needs to spend from 3-10 years to master both the vocal and the phach techniques. The female singer has to utilize the breathing techniques and vibrato to create such unique sounds while playing phach.
It can be seen that the most difficult part of ca tru singing is to learn how to sing and play phach at the same time. Playing phach is considered the backbone of the singer. The singer can mimic some tunes of ca tru but they can’t fake of using phach.
Let’s discover our charming capital with a Hanoi One Day Tour.
4. Where to enjoy the best ca tru singing Hanoi?

My 2022 Plans & Goals
Here are my plans for 2022 starting today: The goal is to be Productive and stop being lazy. Lockdown period just made to more lazy than ever, I was just watching web shows and movies to pass my time rather than learning some skills. It’s time to make up for that lost time. Here is the list of things I’m gonna try to figure out this forthcoming year.
1. Learn Coding — The goal here is to first understand how Web2 works and then shift towards learning core Web3 concepts. Some of concepts and languages I would like to learn are:
Programming Languages: C++, Python, C#, Java, Ruby, Kotlin, Solidity (Web3)
Frameworks: NodeJS, Django, Bootstrap, Next JS, jQuery, Angular, Flask, Atom, React
Web Development: HTML, Css, JavaScript
Concepts: DSA, Cryptography, Smart Contracts, DAO
Tools: Android Studio.
NOTE: I’m picking one language at a time to learn, this list is a lot to learn and may take forever. Once I feel I’m done with one language then I’m moving to the next language. Anyone who is just starting out to learn coding I would suggest just pick one you like which also has good job opportunities near you. Build your fundamentals learn DSA, Programming Paradigms(OOP/ functional), design patterns, etc.,
2. Read Books — One of most procrastinated things in my life has been reading books. I’m not much of an avid reader, but I have read a few (4 to be exact). Books help in learning new words, improving vocabulary and imagining new worlds.
Looking at fat books scares me a lot. I have kept a target of finishing at least 8 books this year, which ones I’m not sure. Book recommendations are most welcome. But I do have a list of books to finish for a lifetime:
https://t.co/iILkBipD0P
3. Improve financial knowledge — This pandemic has made everyone aware of their finance situation. I do know a little about finance, this year I want to learn in detail.
From reading balance sheet to understanding option chain data. It’s time to start building my portfolio. I’m looking out for crypto investments to diversify my portfolio. Hope the Government does not ban crypto. This year I will also be buying my first NFT. Sounds very small step but got to start somewhere.
4. Make connections — with people who are smarter than me. Build relationships with businesses and improve my communication skills.
If you guys didn’t know then here it is I suck at verbal communication. This is also the reason why I have started to write blogs, threads and newsletter as an exercise to improve my communication skills. Connecting with smarter people not only makes you smarter but also open minded and you get to learn a lot more than what you would in your domain.
5. Start Meditation, Play Outdoor Games and Take Cold Showers — Sounds very simple, trust me it’s not. For the last few months I think the universe is signaling me to start meditation constantly. I did try it for 2 days and gave up cause mostly I look for fast results.
I’m gonna try meditating everyday, not for any spiritual benefit cause I haven’t experienced any of it yet in my life but to increase my patience level in terms of expecting results and to increase my focus. Cold Showers are to challenge myself. Outdoor games to build sportsman spirit and to learn co-ordinating in a team.
6. Learn Skills — like affiliate marketing, Sales, UI/UX Design, Premier Pro editing, etc.,
Just trying my hands on these skills.
7. Writing — In the process of learning the above mentioned skills documenting all of these in the form of blogs, newsletter or threads.
This will not only help in solidifying what ever I have learnt but also help in building an audience. Oh! by the way here is my Twitter link, you guys can follow me there.
For example: while coding I can make a GitHub repository of all my practice programs. This will not only act as a proof of work but also help in tracking my performance or maybe building a personal portfolio.
8. Less Social Media Usage & sleep less — The second part my be confusing cause it is applicable only to me. I’m one of those guys who sleep for more than 10 hours a day. More than 50–60% of my time is wasted in sleeping and scrolling through social media sites.
This is also the reason why I recently deactivated Instagram. Social Media is a good place if you follow the right people, but it gets addictive. Also there is a lot of misinformation and cyber bullying. For some reason I find Twitter to be a lot better than Instagram.
Here’s a summary:
1. Learn Coding
2. Read Books
3. Improve Financial Knowledge
4. Make connections
5. Start Mediation, Play outdoor games and Cold Showers
6. Learn Skills — Marketing, Sales, & Design
7. Writing
8. Less Social Media Usage and Sleep less
Do share your thoughts and suggestions on my first blog/thread. If you think I should try something new in 2022 then go on I’m reading your comments. Sign Up to my newsletter where I share my regular updates, learnings and new experiences and a lot more stuff!
Let’s get connected on Social Media. I’m available on the following sites:
