Hi anon! Absolutely!

Heightened senses. Hearing and smell in particular - and here I like smell in particular because its often used for him to identify his friends in tense situations, and dogs can actually sense emotions through smell, so I like when it's used in that way as well.

When his eyes reflect with flashing lights or spells or even camera flashes.

Sensing heartbeats and thus knowing if the other person is tense or calm (wolves are predators after all).

Some sort of apetite or desire for raw meat. - This one I mostly like for comic relief or as a way to make people realize that that soft and kind boy is what he says he is.

Werewolf culture. In the books Remus sees himself as more human than werewolf, and doesn't particularly enjoy getting involved with his kind. Unfortunately most of the humans in his universe don't see it that way (reminder Umbridge was sucessfully passing heavy werewolf-exclusionary laws and no one was upset by it) and so it is always interesting to me when he gets to explore what life is like for other wolves, and integrates himself to an extent in that culture. Even advocating for them (himself) more properly.

Pack structure. When the marauders became animagi to help him, they created a pack. I like when it is lightly touched on even in their human forms. Usually this is done with Remus being the "alpha", and so for example whenever he has strong ideas, they all promptly fall in line. For this one the writer needs to be good though, because it requires some nuance not to become abusive. So, lightly.

For wolstar: Pack structure like I just mentioned but with them in their animal forms. A dog and a wolf should really have that power structure going on. In the real world wolves mate for life, so I also enjoy Lupin's werewolf form completely refusing the approach of anyone new after the first war because moony does not recognize them as his mate. This can mean other animagi, but also other werewolves.

I think those will do for now, but I can talk about the werewolf culture one for hours. It is my absolute favorite. Thanks for asking, noonie!

Outside of Elijah/Klaus (cause there was absolutely 0 reason both of them died), which character in all of TVDU do you think had the most unnecessary/dumb death?

Honestly Klaus and Elijah aren't even in my top. Yes, both of them dying was dumb, but there are so many other death's that were more unnecessary. At least Elijah and Klaus made it to the end of TO.

Some honorable mentions: Hayley, Tyler, Gia, Josh, Enzo, Jo, Lexi, Sophie, Eve, Jesse, Aaron, Aya, Jackson, all of the hybrids, Carol, Henry, Celeste (first time), Genevie (first time and kind of second time). I'm sure there are more.

But my most unnecessary/dumb death is Cami O'Connell.

There was zero reason for her to die and it was because she wasn't meant to die. I firmly believe she was meant to be the school psychologist in Legacies. It would have made so much sense for her to be there for Hope after Hope lost so much of her family. It also would have allow a woman on the show to have a happy ending that wasn't centered around a man. Her happy ending would have been watching over Hope and helping all of the supernatural children, fulfilling her family's destiny.

Cami still had so much of a story left to tell. She was so young and full of promise. She lost her entire family due to the supernatural world and then was forced into it herself. If anyone in TO is a parallel to Elena, it is Cami. Her family legacy was so entrenched in the supernatural that it was only a matter of time before she herself was pulled into it.

Even her death made no sense. Lucien wanted to hurt Klaus for 'stealing' Aurora from him, but at that point, Lucien had the ability to kill Klaus. Sure, maybe he wanted him to suffer, so why not go after Hope? She was out in the bayou essentially unprotected (let's be honest, what could Mary have done?).

Even if we accept Lucien wanted to make it even by taking away Klaus' love, how did they not save her? Like two days later the entire Mikaelson gang is bitten and Freya just magically thinks of a way to freeze them and save them all? They couldn't have thought of that a little quicker? It's funny how they always manage to think of life saving magic when the plot/Mikaelsons require it, but there's no other options when it comes to sacrificing other characters.

Even if we accept that she died, they really didn't even make an effort to bring her back? Davina was able to be brought back from the dead after her soul was shredded. I know the other side was gone at that point, but let's not pretend the show didn't just bring back characters with very little rhyme or reason. The Mikaelsons didn't even attempt to find a way to bring her back.

And no one even say it was to help Klaus' character development. I hate when women are killed to further a man's development. It was clear in the writing that Klaus still needed Cami for his development. He was just at the brink of trying to be a better person, he was nowhere near done. We can clearly see this in the amount of scenes Hayley becomes ooc in order to be Cami for Klaus. Or Caroline coming in season 5, which made no sense, was clearly meant to be Cami.

Cami was an O'Connell and this meant something in New Orleans. People who claim her character was just a love interest were not watching. Her character was going to unite New Orleans. Not Hayley, not Hope, and definitely not the Mikaelsons. Every faction adored her. Marcel and Vincent loved her and would have done anything to keep her safe. The Mikaelsons each loved her outside of her relationship with Klaus. She would have always been a mother figure to Hope, no matter what her relationship was. Hayley loved her as well. We don't see her interact with the wolves too much but that's because they were largely forgotten in the writing. But every faction loved her and respected her. Her legacy was fixing the war in New Orleans. Which I love the writers just kind of dropped and everything magically go better when the Mikaelsons left, even though the war had been going on longer than the Mikaelsons were there.

The writers had not planned to kill her off but because of the toxicity of the fandom, they killed her off. This is just bad writing. They writers often cared more about ratings than the actual art of story telling and the show suffered because of it.

Ooh, totally an artist for sure. She comes off as someone with a creative mind given her quirk and she often exercises her creativity through art projects. The boys hated their scars. You could tell whenever they would look in the mirror before getting in the shower. Steve wouldn’t stay in his reflection too long and he would deflate. Eddie on the other hand would stare hard at the scars. Sometimes, you would catch him picked at the jagged skin. Maybe if he could get his fingers under it, it would peel up like a sticker.

You felt terrible at how they felt. They would never change what happened but the constant reminder of the pain haunts their bodies. One night as you enter the bedroom you see them both laying shirtless waiting for you.

An idea pops in your head, then a smirk appears. You crawl into bed and nuzzle up against Steve. He smiles and wraps his arms around you, “Mm, lucky me.” He’s about to go in for a kiss before you turn away and begin to kiss the scar around his neck. He starts to laugh at the sensation. Eddie pops his head over your shoulder, “I want a turn too!” He straddles Steve and begins to kiss the other side of his neck.

You laugh as the boys begin to wrestle on the bed trying to give the bigger hickey to the other. You grab Eddie and pull him down to kiss the side of his face. He smiles and goes to kiss you in return but you move away and kiss his chest. “What’s going on with you?” He tilts his head. He caresses your face gently. You shrug, “I just love you. Every single part.” You turn to Steve, “Both of you.”

You kiss each of them, “Even if you don’t, I always will.”

They lay down on either side of you and for once they feel comfortable in their prickly skin. You put them at ease.

fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

So first I thought of was failure, right? But it's more specific than that.

Her greatest fear is going back home. It's almost like something's changed within her but honestly something was just uncovered. She is never coming home because there is no place that is home for her any longer. Leaving showed that. Incremental success, small venues, worrying over bills, and the every present disdain of her parents has made her home town nothing more than a place she has a lease at.

She has no family waiting for her. Everyone there for her relies on her. Her friends are everything to her, but BOTB is giving an example as to why you don't go into business with family and friends. And she knows how quickly things go from everything to nothing.

She's not at all open with her fear, she barely recognizes it lurking below her confidence and determination. But it's not as if she would show it, she's been the unofficial leader since Seven left, and she can't show anyone any cracks or else they'll think she'll break. If they would even bring it up.

Hard to be scared of something she's not aware of is there. The moment she stops to think, the second she has enough room to breathe? Well maybe ambition turns into desperation.

guilt: What is your OC guilty about? How do they handle their guilt? Do they try to avoid guilt, or do they accept it?

She feels guilty that she didn't try harder.

Not about the Vote. There's nothing she could have done there. In the year, the years, following the Vote she thought: how could she have made them understand? She could have done something more, she needed them to understand that it didn't work unless Seven was in the band, in some way in any way he needed to be there. She doesn't work, she can't do this, without him in the band-

She couldn't do anything about the Vote, she realized that eventually.

Despite how awfully Seven treated her when they broke up, no matter the posts on social media, no matter the texts from ex-friends rubbing it in her face that they get to see what made her and Seven's relationship so special, no matter how empty her shitty small apartment was after he left, she still feels bad that she still didn't try harder to make amends, to reconnect.

She let him go and she didn't try to save what they could of their friendship, she didn't even try. There was such a history of friendship, that lasted for so much longer than the relationship did, and she feels guilty about not trying to save it. She mourned it and instead of trying to fix it, she wrote a goodbye to their relationship on their anniversary, she decided to write off love and relationships unconsciously, and she was so focused on how little she felt that when she came to the realization it was years later.

She's a fan of Soft Violence, she's glad he seemed to land on his feet, she's relieved he has people there for him professionally ... and personally, and that was enough to convince her that they're in a better place than where they were. If she felt this, maybe he would too. Maybe if they met again they could meet as friends.

But she didn't try at all and now they're this. She's guilty that she didn't try harder.

skin: How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they grapple with anything that lives inside them—a beast, a curse, a failure, a monster? How do they face the smallest, weakest, most horrible version of themself? Are they able to acknowledge it at all?

She's pretty comfortable in her skin! But she's happier now that she's changed. She looks very different than she did in high school and she started changing her look at least over a year since the breakup. A little less soft, a little more sharp, a little bit harder to swallow.

She's doing the show's work for them when she says she looks more thorn than rose now.

At least that's what she wants to portray. It's her first line of defense.

She is maybe a little scared of people still seeing her as broken, as weak, as wilting. And though she isn't grappling with anything, she's shored up her cracks with will and confidence, but as time wears on doubt is starting to drip through as to how far that confidence can actually take her. But that's for later, if she acknowledges it which she most likely won't. She won't invite something in that will risk their chance her chance at this. She can't.

I would argue that Klaus respects very few people.

It might just be Cami, honestly. And even that is shaky at times. Maybe Kol. He does seem to have more admiration for Kol than his other siblings. I would say he doesn't even respect Elijah. Respect requires admiration of others. Klaus' issue is he doesn't admire anyone outside of himself. He views power and strength as something to admire. He has a very toxic masculine view of the world. He is the strongest, fastest, most powerful being in all the land. He doesn't need anyone. Why would he respect them?

This is especially true for his little sister. He treats her like a child who is unable to make decisions for herself most of the time. This is especially true in TVD. In TO, we see Rebekah begin to take more charge of her life, even in the flashbacks. However, this is often met with a dagger in her heart.

Part of the problem is that if Klaus respects Rebekah and her decisions, he might lose her. Despite her being loyal to him for 1,000 years, he doesn't trust her. He doesn't trust anyone.

This may be controversial, but I honestly think she gains more respect from him after he finds out she called Mikael. It was a moment of reckoning for him to realize she was not the little girl he once knew. Before that he laughed off her attempts at overthrowing him, acting like she was just a lovesick teen being manipulated by Marcel. But after that, he ends up trusting her to watch over Hope.

He definitely still doesn't fully respect her as a person at this point. He still is constantly undermining her and her decisions until he dies. I would have loved to see their relationship heal. Unfortunately we never really had a moment where Klaus just genuinely realized how poorly he treated Rebekah her entire life. It would have been nice to see him truly see Rebekah for the amazing woman she had become (and to see Rebekah grow as a character).

One of the strongest things about Rebekah is her resilience and her ability to continue to open her heart to others despite how much she has been hurt. This is something Klaus views as a weakness. It's a big reason I think Cami was such an important character in his life. Cami's strength wasn't physical, it was her mind and heart. Klaus was originally brought in by her bravery but captivated by everything else.

He grows to respect Hayley but it's because they make Hayley a miniversion of Klaus essentially. So he only has to respect himself. And even then, he doesn't fully trust her until maybe season 4.

Cami is one of the few characters Klaus admires very early on. He sees her strength is rooted in love and compassion. I would have loved to see Rebekah grow as a character and get back in touch with her more compassionate side like we see with her and Davina. Then see Klaus learn to respect her without making her like him.

TVDU had a bad habit of only respecting the toxic masculine characters. Characters who had feminine characteristics were often disregarded by the other characters and even mocked.

Basically, Klaus really doesn't respect anyone, but Rebekah even less because he doesn't respect where her strengths lie.
