I broke free and created whatever my heart desired, instead of what I thought people wanted to see in an already saturated market. My focus became the story that each piece would carry and my hope was to spark that same feeling within the wearer. As my love grew for my art, I also had to dig deep and face the delicate nature of each theme I chose to work with. A beautiful yet sometimes painful process for fear of rejection. And isn't that what all forms of love are? A double edged sword, strong, empowering and ready for whatever life will face you with. But she is also sharp and needs to be handled with care. 🐚Cabinet de Curiosités🪸 Vous le savez peut-être, je collectionne les fossiles depuis toute petite, ils me fascinent et me passionnent depuis que je suis tombée sur Le Petit Dinosaure et la Vallée des Merveilles, en 1992. Mon chouchou d’amour, c’est ce Diplomystus, un poisson de l’Éocène (35 millions d’années)(le plus gros, le petit est un poil plus ancien comme vous pouvez le voir sur sa petite fiche). C’est loin d’être mon plus vieux (mon doyen est un Trilobite de 470 millions d’années) mais je l’aime d’amour fou depuis que mon père me l’a offert dans une boutique des Eyzies, en Dordogne, pendant des vacances en 1996. Il s’appelle Claus (les créateurs d’American Dad m’ont clairement plagiée, je crie au scandale) et je l’aime d’amour. Voilà. C’est dit.
