1. Penelo | Final Fantasy XII. Probably my favourite character in fiction period? I loved the whole game but 15 year old me grew weary of the angsty parts (In an Ivalice game oooooh moly) so I stuck to her like glue. She was everything I admired in a character and I still love her to bits to this day.

2. Sam Vimes | Discworld. Whats not to love? I normally just get so pissed of with your typical grouchy detective type character but like all of Terry Pratchett’s characters there’s something different about him. The first book I read was Thud so he was also my introduction to the series. The scene where he shouts through the mountains to tell his kid a bed time story is possibly one of the best things I’ve ever read in a book.

3. Hokuto Sumeragi | Tokyo Babylon. The series is very dated now and something I honestly shouldn’t like but I seem to just be drawn to stories by CLAMP. I have a love/hate relationship with them to be honest but damn... Hokuto. She’s fucking insane??? I love her??? I wish we got to see more of her (or see her at all in other series like Tsubasa)

4. Shiemi Moriyama | Ao No Exorcist. This series is .... it’s bad. It’s so bad but I love it? Shiemi especially, she’s an absolute darling. I love her compassion and femininity. I love feminine characters that kick butt in a feminine way and she literally kicks peoples asses politely with flowers. It does get tiring to read ANE cause of the weird fan service though

5. Cole | Dragon Age Cole is my son and I am very proud of him. When I first played I stuck with the mages so when Cole showed up I didn’t *get* him at first. I was quite creeped out by him but as I slowly got to know him I just loved him. I sort of relate to him as well?

6. Lapis Lazuli | Steven Universe. Lapis Lazuli at any given moment is a direct representation of my mood. She’s my favorite SU character by far and I am glad she is the weird and estranged gay aunt. Which is also a Goal of mine.

7. Symmetra | Overwatch. I was pretty amused by the Overwatch content on my dash when it first came out. Then someone was like “Hey Feeny Symmetra is autistic.” I couldn’t believe it to be honest? Here is a ridiculously popular game that has a playable autistic character? I mean it’s Blizzard so I had (and still do cause of recent shit that's come out) my doubts but I just... love Symmetra. She’s such a cool character and its great that shes not your typical villain? If you can even call her that, because she is starting to have her doubts about the Viskar and I honestly can’t wait to see the fallout of that. I want to see her in more comics... heck even a short. Can you imagine... a Symmetra and Lucio short.

Also I want her to step on me.

8. Isabelle | Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing is just... such a therapeutic game for me. It’s helped me through some pretty dark times? I know that sounds silly but its just... nice? A game that rewards you for being nice to people and making friends. Isabelle is just so cute as well. I want to give her all the holidays (with PAY)

9. Zuko | Avatar the Last Airbender. Holy character development batman. Zuko is a bloody incredible character. The ending of season 2 was gut wrenching but I’m glad Zuko’s healing process wasn’t a straight line. Cause it’s true. Healing from the level of abuse he suffered is hard, you’ll back track, you fuck up and make mistakes. But in the end its worth it. He’s just... such a powerful character and I hope he goes down in animation history.

10. Alisaie Leveilleur | Final Fantasy XIV. OH MY GOD PATCH 3.4 though. Like, I’m 90% sure people are following me that haven’t completed this patch yet so I’ll be vague. As much as I love ffxiv to pieces I was beginning to have *issues* with it, which where starting to cloud my enjoyment of the game. Issues like “this world kinda sucks when you think about it.... why do I even want to save it?” In comes Alisaie fucking Leveilleur. She voiced it, she voiced everything I was having a damn issue with. She just... fixed the whole game for me and was part of one of the best story lines in the whole game. She’s my daughter now

En el pasado RetroBarcelona dejamos probar en nuestro stand la versión completa de l’Abbaye des Morts de LocoMalito junto a PlayOnRetro, una producción con colaboraciones variopintas tales como la de nuestro amado y admirado @errazking que puso su modo C64 en el juego, entre otros…

Fan desde MiniPlanets mi admiración por el trabajo de PlayOnRetro no para de crecer, y más al conocer al artífice de dicha marca a través de mensajería instantánea, donde he podido compartir toda clase de conversaciones con Felipe Monge, la primera fue la consulta que hice a varias compañías, si tendrían presencia en el RetroBarcelona de este año, al decirme que no le ofrecí mi raspberry para poner el mini-planets… ¿porqué Raspberry y no el cartucho, si ya lo tengo? la respuesta es fácil, por si acaso… en este tipo de eventos (grandes) que algo vuele es muy habitual, desde TP hemos tenido mucha suerte y jamás hemos sufrido un hurto, pero conozco compañeros a los que les ha volado desde un everdrive hasta un vinilo decorativo de una consola… total, no me quise arriesgar.

Con el permiso de Felipe en firme y en plena charla surgió una idea “¿podríamos presentar l’Abbaye para el retrobarcelona?” la respuesta fue que sí (en formato ROM, claro) y lo mejor de todo es que la recibí dos días antes del evento ya al 100%

De ahí hasta hoy, donde queda poquísimo para recibir mi edición Deluxe del Abbaye la cual sigue con su plazo abierto para haceros con vuestra copia, exactamente quedan 27 días aun para poder recibir esta joya de videojuego.

Y para amenizar la espera he podido conseguir las dos ultimas unidades de juegos anteriores de PlayOnRetro, concretamente Planeta Rojo y Car Wars, que cuando me da por seguir a alguien lo intento hacer con todas las de la ley, y como buen groupie (con todo lo que conlleva su descripción)
