One of university tasks was to create your own ex-libris. Of course I chose a taxidermy theme. It inspired me a bit to create small series of pictures dedicated to my job and passion.

Here I tried to show two main ways of doing taxidermy: creating bone specimens and animal mounts.

A pair of Plum Headed Parakeets

These were a mated pair in life, unfortunately they passed within a few months of each other after eating a poisonous plant that had grown into their outdoor aviary planted by a neighbouring house. They have been reunited in death and will remain together eternally ❤️

White wolf taxidermy purse.

The head is mounted but hollow, with a closure of fabric on the back of the head. I didn't know what I was going to do with this wolf head pelt for a while, but this is perfect because I will get to take this wolf with me when I go out. The strap is borrowed from another purse of mine -- I will make or acquire a more suitable one eventually.
