These were a mated pair in life, unfortunately they passed within a few months of each other after eating a poisonous plant that had grown into their outdoor aviary planted by a neighbouring house. They have been reunited in death and will remain together eternally ❤️

sorry, what did you say about not anthropomorphizing tarantulas? I was too distracted by heather being a coquette icon, a barbie girl in a barbie world, even
Introductory post for my little crested gecko, Ducky! She's currently my only reptile and I believe she's going to be the start of an obsession lol
I bought her at a local expo, and realized after bringing her home that she has a fairly severe overbite! The vet has determined it's likely a congenital deformity and will not affect her at all, and it just adds to her very silly personality. It's also where she got her name, after The Land Before Time character <3
(she is in a temporary setup until I can get her full size enclosure put together, but the picture of her sitting in the plastic container is from right after bringing her home from the expo!)
The Daily Coyote: A Story of Love, Survival, and Trust in the Wilds of Wyoming, by Shreve Stockton, 2008
I originally read most of the way through this book at my college library and then bought it at my local thrift store recently. I do not like this book honestly, and originally threw it down when the author resorted to using Cesar Millan's advice/methods on her wild born pet coyote. It aggravates me in numerous ways, in the way I expected a book from someone who got a surprise wild born coyote puppy as a pet to. Nonetheless, I have a copy so I was able to finally finish it, and have it on hand to reference. I want every single coyote book I can possibly get my hands on, including the ones I dislike.
