"THE LINEAGE OF ELEPHANTS TRACES BACK SOME 55 MILLION YEARS..."
PIC INFO: Spotlight on a prehistoric elephant piece titled "The "Micro"-Evolution of Elephants," undated, depicting the evolution of our planet's proboscideans over the course of over 50 million years. Artist unknown.
"The lineage of elephants traces back some 55 million years. Ancestors gave rise to various branches as well as to the direct line leading to living elephants. Early proboscideans originated in Africa and southwest Asia and migrated via land bridge to every continent except Antarctica and Australia.
Changes in climate and food supply -- and perhaps overhunting in the Pleistocene -- caused widespread extinctions, leaving modern elephants as then only survivors."
-- "THE "MICRO"-EVOLUTION OF ELEPHANTS"
The proboscideans featured here are: Moeritherium, Deinotherium, Palaeomastodon, Mammut, Gomphotherium, Stegodon, Primelephas, Mammuthus, Elephas (Asian elephant), and Loxodonta (African elephant).

Dippy, I made this diplodocus in blender to experiment with decimation maps and UV unwrapping, I'm very happy with the outcome but would like to develop it further.

Ankylosaurids are a family of extinct armored dinosaur. Ankylosaur means "fused lizard" and I think you can see why. They were covered in bony scutes. I once wrote a silly little story where I said that rabbits once looked like little creatures with round mouse ears, not very useful legs for running and jumping and long fluffy tails. It was something that in my mind was just a fanciful idea without much seriousness.
Until I discovered Gomphos, one of the first known lagomorphs, and to my surprise, it looks just like my description.
It feels so good when your ideas end up making sense with reality haha.
So, this is a Gomphos oc/character, i call him "Kyytle".
God, lagomorphs front view is so cursed

An old male walks alone in the forest. Mostly based in a deinotherium with some woolly mammoth and with an extra pair of tusks, just because.
.................
Viejo colmillo
Un macho viejo camina solo por el bosque. Principalmente basado en un deinoterio con algo de mamut lanudo y con un par de colmillos extra, simplemente porque sí.

Somaverse art. Some of these were made by me, others like the Gorgosaurus and Abelisaurus were made by my friend Commander Meta while Aste drew the uniform for my supervillain Kalai, the Anthropalyptic Moose, and his own Carcharian design.

TO MEGATHERIUM -- THE GREAT BEAST.
PIC INFO: Resolution at 2303x1924 -- Spotlight on a close-up shot of a giant ground sloth, a.k.a., Megatherium, an extinct genus of ground sloths endemic to South America that lived from the Early Pliocene through the end of the Pleistocene.
PARY II: It is best known for the elephant-sized type species M. americanum, sometimes called the giant ground sloth, or the megathere, native to the Pampas through southern Bolivia during the Pleistocene.
EXTINCTION: "Megatherium became extinct around 12,000 years ago during the Quaternary extinction event, which also claimed most other large mammals in the New World. The extinction coincides with the settlement of the Americas, and a kill site where a M. americanum was slaughtered and butchered is known, suggesting that hunting could have caused its extinction."
