It was a horrible stormy & rainy day in small heath you & Tommy had planned to have a romantic walk but the weather was to bad, no one was out in the streets either which was not usually the case.

You was both sat in his car as you both watched the rain hit the roof of his car & the windows, you was dressed in a thin dress & the coldness was hitting you like a cold winters morning before the sun comes up.

"Can we not go to my place or yours Tommy its freezing out here?"

You hear him sigh

"What should it matter Y/N as long as we are together"

"Tommy i'm freezing that's why" he looked you up & down, he took his long coat off & placed it around your shoulders.

"Let's sit in the back of the car so we can cuddle"

You watch as he rushes out of the car in the storm then gets into the back, you sigh & do the same just being outside in the rain for a few seconds got you soaked, Tommy did not even look like he had been caught in it.

You used his coat to dry the parts of your body which had gotten wet from the rain.

He shuffled closer towards you & you put his coat on fully although it was huge on you, you took it into your face & smelled his cologne which was intertwined forever into the fabric.

He placed his fingertips gently onto one side of your neck then moved in quickly & began to kiss your neck softly.

You let out a slight whimper "Tommy we can't fuck in the car"

He removed his lips from your neck "What's saying we are gonna fuck ?"

You began to get butterflies in the pit of your stomach as he reached for your neck again with his lips, as he nuzzled into you, you grabbed onto his neck & positioned your legs so he could kneel in between you.

His lips moved to your lips & you softly began to kiss one another but then it got more passionate & you could feel his manhood growing in his pants.

"Tommy Stop, please" you beg him as you was afraid it would go to far & you didn't want to be seen fucking Tommy in his car.

“When being just a boy like you, I joined the IRA”

Maguire, member of the Irish Republican Army, sings the song, "The Boys of the Old Brigade" to Thomas before leaving the pub. At the time, Ireland was part of the United Kingdom although there was tension between the Irish Fenians and the United Kingdom. One big misconception is that everyone in Ireland hated the British. On Easter Sunday 1916, there was an uprising in Dublin and other parts of the country where members of the IRA who were fighting for the independence of Ireland, captured various places in Dublin, famously the post office, and declared the Irish nation free from British subjugation. The British took Irish captives, so the uprising was actually a failure. However, the harsh treatment of the Irish meant that the people in Ireland became very anti British. The Irish population became increasingly hostile and it's from that point on that the Irish war of independence starts: from January of 1919 until 1922. The IRA were fighting a guerrilla war against the British, especially against their Black and Tans, a pro-British paramilitary group in Ireland. The officer that Tommy has to shoot was a one of them. They were known for being incredibly ruthless towards the native Irish.

The whole island isn't part of one country, six northern counties remained part of the United Kingdom because the British monarchs planted English Scots and Welsh Protestants in the Northeast to subjugate the various Gallic resistance there. Which is why they were called Ulster and were Pro British and unionist.

In the in the second season of Peaky Blinders this becomes an issue because some of the IRA accepted the treaty that these six counties would go to the UK and some of them didn't. This was actually one of the main causes for the Irish Civil War which was right after the Irish earned their independence. The IRA started fighting among themselves of pro-treaty and anti-treaty.
