a/n: there is a criminally low amount of warren fics and daisy jones & the six fics in general so I'm trying to rectify that. also I listened to the Aurora album on repeat when writing this so if you haven't listened to it already go do that. requests are open for all characters if you want to send anything in. i also love chatting with all of you so send in ur opinions or thoughts :)

description: the night you met warren rojas, all of your rules fly out of the window.

Y/N: Being a female producer in the 70s was… how to put it delicately… absolute shit. But I tried my best. I had a list of rules to live by: don’t date anyone related to my job, never stay later than 7pm, always have more than one person in the room with you and never drink on the job. Not even coffee. I broke most of those rules the night I met Warren Rojas.

It was 9pm (rule break #1) and you had just finished mixing one of the last songs for an album you were going to show George tomorrow. You were about to head home with a cup of coffee (rule break #2) you had snatched from the snack room when suddenly one of the doors to the recording rooms slammed open and a whole gang of people poured out. The noise had startled you so much that the cup in your hand sloshed and hotstingburnoww the liquid fell onto your hand.

“Shit!” You had realized in the last moment that your little expletive caught the attention of the last people milling out, a curly haired guy and one of best known producers of the time, Teddy Price, otherwise known as your mentor. “Oh hey Teddy.”

“Y/N! I don’t think I’ve seen you here this late before.”

“Just had to finish mixing a song you know me.”

“Oh I do. That’s why it’s surprising.” You rolled your eyes with a smile and then looked over to the man standing next to him.

“Who’s the new band? Haven't seen them around here before.”

“The Six. This is Warren Rojas, their drummer. This is Y/N L/N, she’s one of the best producers out there.”

“You flatter me too much. It’s nice to meet you, Warren.”

“You too.”

“Either of you need a ride? I’m heading out soon.”

“Nah I’m fine. I’ll just go with the band.”

“Yeah I’ve got my bike.”

“You parked close?” Teddy asked with his usual protective tone.

“Just a 5 minute walk.”

“I would walk you but I’ve got to finish looking over some tapes.”

“I’m heading the same way. We can go over together.”

“You sure?” You asked as you took a sip from your coffee.

“Yeah, I’m sure the band can wait.”

“Great. I’ll see you two tomorrow.”

“Bye Teddy.”

“See you.”

You and Warren set off to navigate through the maze of recording rooms and offices. (rule break #3) He had lit up a cigarette and when he offered you one, you graciously took it, throwing out the finished coffee cup.

“So if you don’t mind me asking. Why do you call yourselves the Six if there’s only 5 of you?” Warren laughed and looked at you with a smile.

“I honestly have no idea. Something about there already being too many iconic bands with the number five in them.”

“Right well, I can’t be one to judge anyway, I can't even sing.”

“I can’t either so I think we’re on the same playing field here.” You laughed and nudged his shoulder. So he was funny on top of being ridiculously attractive.

“So how did you get into producing?” And he wasn’t being a anti-feminist asshole, unlike SO MANY people in this industry.

“Well I liked music and I would record demos for my brothers when I could. It was honestly just pure luck. I met Teddy when I was interviewing to be a secretary here. He taught me some of the ropes and then persuaded the big bosses to hire me. I really only produce for smaller names but… it’s my passion, you know.”

“As part of a smaller name, we appreciate your help.” He said with a mischievous smile whilst wiggling his eyebrows.

“Oh shush. So I guess now it’s only fair to ask how you got into The Six?”

“Well, Graham got us into this band when we were like 14 and then he persuaded his brother, Billy, to join. Then some random dude convinced us to head out here and try our luck with Teddy Price so here I am. We actually used to be called The Dunne Brothers and then we changed it for some reason, I think we all collectively decided against that name one night at a diner.”

“Well if you’re getting produced by Teddy then you have to have at least a modicum of talent.”

“Don’t know if I should take that as an insult or a compliment.”

“Take it as you want.” His eyes flickered under the streetlights as you made your way out onto the street. Warren Rojas has a majestic quality to him and well, he was also nice and exactly your type. Okay so maybe rule number #1 was meant to be broken.

“Warren! Hurry up man or we’re leaving without you.” A man yelled from one of the parked vans. He was leaning out of the window and pushing on the car horn.

“Well it seems my luck is still going strong cause that’s my bike.” You point at the black motorcycle that is parked next to the colorful van. He sent you a beaming smile as you both wandered over to where your separate vehicles lay.

“So will I be seeing you again?”

“We work in the same building so probably.”

“You know what I mean.” I stamped out the cigarette and winked at him.

“I might come around to see how you sound tomorrow.”

“I’ll be sure to be playing the drums to the best of my ability.”

“I'm sure you’re supposed to be doing that anyway.” You smirked at him as swung your jean clad leg over the motorcycle and twisted the key in the ignition.

“Warren!”

“Yeah yeah, one second. Give me your arm.”

“And why would I do that?”

“Because you’re really pretty and I want to give you my number.”

“How do you know I’ll use it?”

“I’m taking a gamble.”

“It seems like you take a lot of those.”

You held out your arm anyways and let him scribble down his number in black ink. Your helmet went over your head after he finished and you looked down at the list of numbers with a little heart next to them. So he was a sap as well.

“I’ll be seeing you, Warren Rojas.”

“I sure hope so, Y/N L/N.” You smiled and gave him a little wave before revving off. But not before you heard a last: “Warren! What the hell man I’m starving over here.” Which made you chuckle.

Y/N: I ended up going to that recording session the next day. And the next and the next. Teddy even let me mix a few of the songs. I also wrote down his number immediately after I got home. I’m pretty sure I still have the receipt where it’s written on somewhere. Anyways I ended up breaking that first rule after the tour. Warren asked me out when we were surfing. Actually I was surfing and Warren was trying to. God that was a beautiful day.

Warren: The sun was just about to set and I had given up trying to surf so Y/N and I were just sitting on our boards watching the sky turn different colors. We had been friends since that night Teddy introduced us and I was obviously attracted to her. But it was then when I realized I was in love with her. I ended up asking her to marry me at that exact same spot a few years later.

Y/N: I immediately said yes, both times. Warren and I just work. He is like a part of me I can’t bear the thought of losing.

Warren: I love her with my entire self and more. I can’t see my life any other way. I think one of the greatest things that came out of the band was not just the music but it also led me to my soulmate.

Y/N: Rule breaking is really one of the best things I could have done. I met my other half and worked with people I would consider my family. Sometimes plans just aren’t meant to be followed.

Y/N Rojas is one of the top producers in the music industry. She shared producer credits with Teddy Price on Aurora and has gone on to produce some of the biggest names in the 80s and 90s. Currently she lives on a houseboat with her husband, Warren, the former drummer of Daisy Jones & The Six and their twins, Teddy and Karen. She owns a music label (Reconstitution Records) which will be producing the newest album of the reunited band, Daisy Jones & The Six.

Before starting, here's a little context on this AU:

I was inspired by @seaslugfanclub Disney Villains/ y/n park assistant concept, I thought something.

What if there was another company (generic name supposedly) that to go against this incredible idea of the Disney Parks to make the Villains turn into actual people decided to do the same thing with non- Disney Villains as well?

And this other y/n had to take care of them, because they are also very chaotic without a lead of some kind...

The Disney Parks had made such a smart move on making their bad guys come to life, so their most brilliant rival decided to do same thing.

But how to make their choice not sound like a copy of their rivals?

Easy.

Let's include multiple animated universes and let them come to life together!

Unfortunately for Y/N, the park attendant that has to reunite them all together and "take care" of their actions,

(no kids or human was harmed in this, writer of this confirms! at least not yet),

that wasn't an easy job. Not at all.

Don't get this wrong, the newest addition to the park really enjoyed villains of all kind (and despite not being accepted by the other park) she gladly wanted to work at this new one. Yeah, wanted.

Because the poor human didn't know tha chaos that was about to happen.

One of the villains that was a pain in the ass to tolerate was the lord of nightmares himself.

Now, normally one would be a little bit, at least for a moment, scared of what that man had in mind.

Well, let's just say that Y/N was one of those incredible (and so incredibly frustrating) humans that wasn't scared of the tricks and literal creatures Pitch could materialize out of nowhere.

Spiders? No, the park assistant wouldn't even look at them.

Clowns? You'll get a laugh and a few looks that seem to say "Not today, big guy"

Anything that the obscure could think about would never work.

"After months in your company, I'm still not sure on the reason why you are even able of seeing me, without any profound and maniacal fear in that head of yours."

Oh. That day you were literally head in the clouds, well not fully. You were trying to separate Rasputin and Rothbart (those bickering old-) that were for the thousand time arguing on who was the most powerful, had the coolest song, which one was almost going to be part of Disney (let's just think that he didn't succeed). And who had to help that mess? Guess.

So now you had another problem to fix. A big one.

You knew that he was a little disappointed from that look on his ashen face, so you had to fix that.

"Well, I actually am afraid of things, Pitch, but if I actually start panicking at any nightmare creation of yours, this park would be absolutely turned to dust. And I don't know where you'll go without me, and my frustrating emotionless face."

The villain then gave a small nod in your direction.

"Can you at least be scared next time? Just a little bit?"

"Would that make you happy?"

"I think so."

"Then alright big guy. I'll show you my terrified face, promise."

"I can't wait to see it."

HELL YEAH IVE BEEN WAITING 4 THIS QUESTION--

long story short, yes, it was incredible and if ur able to see it I would HIGHLY recommend getting tickets

Going into detail tho...

Let's start off w/ Jordan Fisher since he was (imo) the weakest link of the main cast. The end of Joannah was kinda anticlimactic and his vocal range wasn't the best. You could tell he didn't have opera lessons or smthn whilst the whole cast was very classical sounding, but I'm going to take a guess he just didn't have enough breath support since he sounded a bit shakey towards the end. He was stronger in the second act tho he wasnt rlly belting then. Jordan Fisher has never rlly surprised me vocally, but that's not rlly a bad thing, I just kinda wish they casted someone a bit more fit for the role.. but if that was the "worst" thing abt the show, I think it's going to be just fine.

The ensembles dancing was either hit or miss, some of it was very awkward whilst other numbers was incredible and clever. For "there was a barber and his wife" They had two dancers on a platform where they danced in the dark and it made them seem like silhouettes in the moonlight. Seeing as the show is still in previews, tho, they still have time to patch it up :).

Gaten Matarazzo was great as Toby and had nice vocals. I was also able to see him in deh and although he was more a talking role I think he is a great singer and actor. He definitely pulled off the ending as well and didn't worry about looking attractive or something while conveying to the audience that he had succumbed to the stress of his situation. Believe it or not I've seen a few shows where an actor would try to make themself look hot but also insane and its just kinda annoying tbh-- like they always sacrifice being believable over being handsome/pretty. All in all, he is a great performer and had wonderful stage presence.

Johanna was incredible. Like actually incredible. Green finch and linnet bird is one of my favorite numbers and she did it justice. I forget her actresses name unfortunately, but she was truly Johanna when she was onstage, and embodied the character beautifully.

Beedle was hateable as was the judge, but that's good because it means that they did their job well. Funny thing is that when he said his line "Deceiving slut!" A person behind me just went "oh-- 😨" and it was clear everyone was surprised.

The beggar woman was so good omg-- like she was great at switching between personalities when begging and it was so funny at times but other times it had the audience sobbing or thinking.

Mrs. Lovett was so incredibly funny it was unexpected. She's no Angela Lansbury but I think it's unfair to compare them to each other since no one is going to be as great as her. She was very lively and I never felt bored when she was onstage! Well-- I was never bored during the show but you know what I mean! Her songs were great and she has her own little twist on things. I don't know if they changed the key for "worst pies in london" bc I haven't listened to the og recording a lot but I wouldn't be surprised since every Mrs. Lovett has had a different key it seems. I really hope I get to see her in something else because she was just so fun to watch and I just loved her so much!

And finally...

JOSH FUCKING GROBAN LEZZ FUCKING GOOOO--

I love that man! I fucking love that man so much 😭!

He was absolutely incredible. My mother said she doubted he would be able to pull off an insane middle aged man but my god, he did it. It was strange to see him being so mean and malicious considering he seems so nice irl, but he was so great and I'm so glad he got to play Sweeney. And I'm even more thrilled that I got to SEE him play Sweeney. His vocals were stunning and he was incredible at acting (even if Todd himself is a rather silent and monotonous man).

So yes, all in all, it was amazing and I rlly hope I'll see it again! Here are some pictures of the stage and playbill :)

Oh yeah, I finished S1 of Bia—here’s an update:

So I forgot to mention this, but throughout season 1, Chiara had been taking cooking lessons from Pietro, and their friendship was very cute and they got up to all sorts of hijinks. (She also gets him to start a YouTube channel with her, it’s a long story in which he’s conflicted because he doesn’t know how well that would jive with going on to be a lawyer and people taking him seriously in the professional world, which I have to emphasize is a legitimate concern?? But it kinda gets swept under the rug, so whatever.) Chiara realizes that she’s developed a crush on him, further complicating the love triangle (square?? Pentagon???). Don’t ask what the age gap is, the show does not volunteer this information.

Daisy and Jhon crash and burn when Daisy’s birthday rolls around, and Pietro and Jhon both give her their gifts. She doesn’t know whose is whose, opens one and it’s one of those music sampler pad things and she’s like “??? I have no interest in music, who would get me this???” And Pietro jumps in at the last second to save Jhon and is like “haha, that was me, I got it as a joke, I thought it would be funny 😅.” And then she opens the gift that’s supposedly from Jhon but actually from Pietro and it’s a famous prima ballerina’s pointe shoes (HELLO??) that it probably cost an arm and a leg to get, and she’s absolutely overjoyed that her boyfriend knows her so well! Until she finds the receipt for the pointe shoes with Pietro’s name on it. She confronts him about it and is like “bro you have never gotten me a joke gift in your LIFE you take picking out the perfect gifts for people so seriously, how did I fall for that,” and he’s like “haha yeah 😅.” And the thing is, Helena had said earlier about the pointe shoes that “only someone truly in love could have picked out a gift so perfect,” and Daisy goes “man, Helena was COMPLETELY wrong, huh!” And Pietro is just like “Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Yeah. 🥲” THIS POOR GUY. Anyway Daisy confronts Jhon about it and breaks up with him because he really doesn’t know her very well, and the thing is she’s right but you do feel bad for Jhon, he’s clearly heartbroken—he’s just not the most mature guy ever.

In true Disney fashion, Chiara writes a song to express how she feels about Pietro, and then is like “hey Pietro will you listen to this song I wrote and tell me what you think?” And he says that he likes it a lot, and that it reminds him of someone that he likes but that he’s not sure will reciprocate his feelings, and Chiara is like “sure she will!” thinking he’s talking about her, and then he confesses that he likes Daisy. Yowch.

Meanwhile Jhon has been asked to go on tour with a famous YouTuber and is going to leave in a couple of days, and Celeste has just managed to admit to herself and her friends that she does like him, but wasn’t going to do anything about it because he was still with Daisy. But since they’d broken up, when she goes to say goodbye to Jhon, she kisses him. IN A BATHROOM. Like, I get that her arc was about overcoming her anxieties and learning to talk about her feelings, but girl???? Anyway we don’t see the aftermath of that, but Celeste is just happy that she could work up the courage, so…okay, I guess

Manuel’s mom, Lucia, shows up from Spain on the pretense that she missed him, but actually she came to confront Manuel’s “uncle” about the fact that he promised he would tell Manuel that he was his father but still hadn’t. Manuel’s “uncle” (Antonio, I’m just gonna start calling him by his name) is a lying liar who lies, and keeps promising that he will, but doesn’t seem to ever have any intention to. Meanwhile, Manuel’s aunt is not pleased because she of course hates Lucia’s guts, but then it comes out that when Antonio had an affair with her, HE TOLD HER HE WAS SINGLE. HELLO?? Manuel’s aunt then leaves him and asks for a divorce. But then she comes back? But I think she still wants the divorce. I’m confused.

I cannot emphasize more here that Victor and Alex truly have no idea what is going on or why their parents are fighting.

Manuel’s aunt and uncle confront Bia’s parents for some reason (I genuinely do not remember why—oh wait I think it was because Alex did a video with Bia?? It’s complicated and it doesn’t matter), and it did not go well, Manuel’s aunt somehow accidentally pushed Bia’s mom and injured her arm. (I cannot overemphasize just how unhinged that woman is. She desperately needs psychological help.) Bia’s parents do seriously consider calling the police on them, so I guess the police do exist.

Because of all this, Lucia doesn’t want Manuel living with them anymore, and tells him that he’s coming back to Spain with her. He is of course not a fan of this, he’s all like “BUT MOM I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND” (and there’s Victor, he is concerned about Victor). He and Bia really had JUST gotten together, but after a lot of convoluted stuff he works it out so he can live in the apartment building that Thiago owns. I’m skimming over a lot of stuff here, mostly because it’s nothing to write home about, but it must be said that the chemistry between Manuel and Bia is off the charts. Have you ever seen a fictional couple so cute that you wanted to throw up 😂

Oh yes it must be said though, there’s this running thing in the show where sometimes we get what I’ll call “Bia-vision,” where we’ll see the environment drawn over with her drawings and doodles as if it’s how she sees the world? Anyway, she has these little anthropomorphised hearts with faces that she draws a lot, and whenever Manuel is in the “Bia-vision” the little hearts start blushing or have heart-eyes. It’s absolutely adorable.

The acting across the board in this show is pretty good, but I feel like the guy playing Manuel is a notch above the others? He’s very gifted in subtlety. Gets this kid in more projects.

Oh yeah also Thiago kissed Helena, but then tried to play it off as him getting caught up in the spur of the moment or something. It wasn’t very convincing. Anyway, he later confesses that it wasn’t spur of the moment, he loves her, he’s loved her for a very long time, he’s probably loved her since the first time he saw her (OKAY), but tells her that she doesn’t need to give him an answer right away. We love a gentleman! Anyway, Helena is conflicted.

There is a lot of plot stuff with the YouTube channels that I’m skimming over here because I don’t care about it all that much, but the last major thing that happens in the season is that Bia actually runs into Helena in the park. And you’re like “GASSP they’re gonna reunite???” And then you find out in the beginning of S2 that Bia didn’t recognize her. Just…ouch, that’s devastating.

My predictions + thoughts for Good Omens season 3 storylines:

(Or just things that I think would be cool if they happened + the dumb thoughts that are forcing their way out of my head)

-We’re going to see a different (truer?) form of Aziraphale. I mean like, horrifying eldritch angel with a booming voice, huge wings and too many eyes. Might make sense that he gets more powerful considering he’s gonna be the supreme archangel I guess?

-I bet this “true” form won’t really come fourth until something *really* irks him.

-This something could be, maybe something involving the Book of Life and Crowley? :eyes:

-Speaking of the Book of Life, yeah. We’ve all heard of Chekov’s Gun. I saw a post about that somewhere.

-Something that would be really fun to see I think is, a moment where there’s some big realization or whatever and Aziraphale bursts out of the bookshop, opens his wings, and just fuckin zooms off. Just badass Aziraphale being kind of terrifying would be awesome I think. Bonus points for having civilians and the shopkeepers around to witness it.

-Reappearance of Adam, Warlock, and the others

-One on one talk with God and Aziraphale and/or Crowley

-Idk, as I’ve been watching over and over I’ve noticed there’s a weird amount of references to Aziraphale eventually falling. It might just be them like, mentioning it to make the stakes higher since it is his worst fear basically, but idk. Don’t really know what to think of this one yet.

-Something wicked would be *if* Aziraphale did fall, what if at the same time, Crowley somehow gets re-instated as an angel. (Against his will?)

-Back on the topic of Aziraphale, because I just think it's really awesome when sweet, charming characters absolutely loose their shit. Something that would be sick is, what if Aziraphale has a moment similar to Crowley's moment in the burning bookshop in season 1?

-Crowley will have a run in with Anathema and Newt while trying to get away from Soho

-More Queen songs!!!

-Reappearance of Maggie and Nina!

-Jezzibelle or whatever her name was from season 1 was possessed by Aziraphale for a bit. When Crowley arrives in his burning car at the end of season 1, Aziraphale was clearly happy to see him, and Jezzibelle definitely felt that. I think Crowley will have a run in with her and Shadwell (or whatever the witchfinder dude's name was) sometime, and she will tell him how much *affection* she felt from Aziraphale towards Crowley in that moment. Cue another gay panic from Crowley.

-Muriel will be the new permanent owner of AZ Fell's bookshop when Aziraphale and Crowley eventually move out to a cottage together. They will of course still visit them!

-The Metatron mentioned the second coming. I’ve never been religious and I’m kind of dumb so I’m not 100% sure what that means, but from what I understand it means the second coming of Christ? So it would be really funny if there was another role reversal where Aziraphale has to deliver the child of god like Crowley delivered Adam.

-Aziraphale will want out of his new role ASAP. If he’s even there by his own free will at all..?

-The Metatron clearly hates Crowley for some reason. Maybe because he was asking questions that even he couldn’t answer? Either way, because of this, I don’t think God intended for Crowley to fall in the first place. I think the Metatron has his own agenda.

-I will cry

That’s all I can think of right now! This was fun to write and I obviously have no real idea of what could happen, just some of my thoughts since I watched GO for the first time just this past Saturday! :D

i own a lot of jewelry but my favourite is probably the necklace that my partner got me for our first anniversary. It’s a tiny and simple little crystal heart on a silver chain. super dainty and sweet. and now we’ve been together over 9 years :)

probably the night that i saw Gorillaz live last year! i got the set list from that show and when i realised what it was my friend and i spun around hugging each other and sobbing while the stadium emptied. probably just that moment specifically <3

my favourite book is Frankenstein! not reading anything at the moment because i’m trying my hardest to finish a fic and i don’t want anything to distract me until it’s done but i’ll be tackling some books soon

being embarrassed about the music you listen to is DEAD!!!! love things with your whole chest because that’s what we’re put on this shitty planet to do <3

but in the spirit of making fun of myself, my most embarrassing song in my liked playlist is absolutely ‘Hero’ by Chad Kroeger from the spider-man soundtrack.

HSMTMTS Season 3 Trailer Thoughts

The beginning's actually kinda funny (something wildcats!).

Why is the right part of the scene blurred at 16 seconds..? It's pretty obvious if you pause there.

Is it just me or is Kourtney taking a selfie at a random moment kind of like Season 1 Carlos?

It annoys me that they spent 14 seconds in the trailer on the announcing Corbin and the putting on Frozen part (mainly because it was already in the sneak peek) but I know, some FaNs didn't know about it sooo

So Gina's wearing all gold while dancing on stage. I think that she's gonna have her Season 1 Nini moment where she's auditioning and then is suddenly transported to some dream stage and wearing something different (they did this in 1-2-3 in season 2 as well).

I can't see Olivia Rodrigo or Nini with a gigantic sunhat and holding a white lace umbrella but here we are

And Ricky is now standing on a log looking out to the city. I was thinking it's probably some Troy song, like Scream perhaps...? Although to be realistic, maybe EJ should sing Scream because of his whole college decision (which strangely wasn't even brought up in the trailer).

So now Gina's talking about how this is her first time doing a bunch of stuff. I think that maybe she's about to sing For the First Time in Forever because.... I mean it would make sense.

NINI NOTHING FROM THE PAST FEW YEARS HAS- okay she has only really thought about becoming a singer/songwriter for one semester. Literally. Before that, she was content with just being in musicals.

Also Miss Jenn looks very different (her hair is just getting shorter each season lol)

EJ if you say nothing's gonna ruin your summer with your girlfriend you're basically ASKING for it to be ruined.

So Ricky was clearly writing a song, and then did that HSM 3 thing (if anyone remembers) where he purposely was showing her the paper but not letting her have it.

It lowkey makes sense for Rina to develop anyways. EJ is too busy being a camp director. Gina's the lead. Ricky MIGHT get Kristoff.

I swear if I have to hear Corbin say "Wha-what?" again I'm going to scream.

EJ is probably giving the thumbs up to Gina's audition. Adding onto that, WHATEVER happens with what Gina gets, it's gonna cause chaos. If she gets the lead, people will say "Oh that's unfair because you're dating our director." On the other hand, maybe EJ won't give her the lead BECAUSE people would think that way.

The stakes have never been higher...? I'm confused last time I checked it's a Frozen musical that is put on by a two-week summer camp. It's really not that big...

But yes I will also be obsessing over every episode so maybe it is a big thing.

Hero vs villain, angst, TW for knife, and death I guess

“Just let go”

Xe was trapped. The villain had xem pinned to the rocky ground, and a knife at xyr throat. There was no escape this time. This time, no one would come and save the hero, they would die here. And the villain would enjoy every second of it, xe knew they would.

The only thing stopping xyr death was xyr weakening arms, barely managing to push back the villains. Xe didn’t want to die, xe realized with sudden desperation. Xe did not want to die!

“W-wait we can talk this out, please just stop, I swear I’ll leave you alone, just please don’t kill me!” Xe begged, tears gathering in xyr eyes. The hero had been fighting the villain for years now, and in xyr most desperate moment, the hero’s friends abandoned xem.

“Shhh. I will make it quite, just let go. All you have to do is let go, and you can get that rest you so deserve.” The villain crooned, talking softly, as if to lull a baby to sleep.

The villain put more pressure down on the knife, and the hero’s arms shuddered.

The hero was so tired, xe just wanted to rest. But, if xe was to rest, xe would never wake again.

“I- I’m sorry! Okay! I shouldn’t have fought against y-you! I knew you were to strong, just please, please don’t kill me…” Xe was crying now, tears clouding what could be xyr last view of the night sky.

“Oh, dear, you never did anything wrong. You were so strong to fight against me all these years. Don’t you think it’s time you finally got a break?~” They whispered, their voice like a siren song, pulling the little of the hero’s strength away. Xe had been fighting nonstop for years, and xe was so tired.

“I… I don’t want to die though. I have- I have to take care of my cat.” Xe loved xyr cat, Soul, so much. She was xyr entire world, the only one who showed kindness to xem.

“Hmm… I have two cats, you know? Their names are Milo and Peach. They are the sweetest things ever.” They spoke as if the two of them were just sitting, having a nice chat together.

“I think, they’d love~ to have a new friend. So, I’ll make you a deal. You stop fighting, give in. And I’ll take care of your Soul, and cherish her like one of my own. How does that sound, little hero?” The villain offered, and while it had horrifying implications (the hero was going to die), if they could make sure Soul had a happy life? Of course xe would do anything.

And, the funny thing was, xe could tell the villain was being absolutely sincere. Their whole thing was never breaking their word. The hero could also read them like a book, due to the years of history they had together.

And the hero was so, so tired. Xe just wanted to stop fighting for a world that didn’t even care for xem. A world that only criticized xyr every action. Xe made a decision.

“You… you promise to take good care of Soul, for the rest of her life, and you won’t hurt her?” The hero whispered, already knowing the answer.

“Oh, of course~. I absolutely adore cats, and your Soul sounds like a wonderful companion. All you have to do, hero, is just let go.” They said, in a soft voice leaning down by the hero’s ear.

Xe smiled, tears in xyr eyes.

The resistance left xyr arms, and xe sobbed. Xe attempted to curl up in a fetal position, but it just wasn’t possible with how xyr was pinned to the ground.

The villain brought a hand to the hero’s face, and wiped away xyr tears.

“Shhh, shh, it’s all going to be okay now. You did so well darling, I’ll make sure everyone knows just how incredible you are. Just close your eyes, it’ll be over soon. “ They said, oh so softly.

Another sob escaped the hero, and xe squeezed xyr eyes shut.

A sharp pain in xyr throat, and everything faded away.

“Just let go.”

What jpop artists do you like? Lately ive been getting into some like perfume, and sheena ringo or even vintage ones like pink lady or candies. Ive also heard lots of good things about hikada utaru, but aparently she identifies as nonbinary now?! Does it make me petty not to want to listen to her just because of that? Like i expected better of Japan artists but i guess even they can be delulu like american artists...

Yeah, there's been a whole discourse with Hikaru Utada because she suddenly said she didn't want to be described with gendered pronouns such as "Ms." before her name (and instead use Mx. or something like that). It's interesting to note that Hikki is fluent in English, and there was hardly any chance that someone who only speaks Japanese get so nitpicky about pronouns. 'Ms' doesn't really exist in Japanese, and actually Japanese is a pretty non gendered language (even less than English). So it's really interesting how the linguistic influence of the West took a toll of her. This statement was clearly dedicated to her Western audience, the only that would consistently use pronouns to describe her. However, she never stated she wanted to he called "she/they/them" or whatever.

Music wise, I'm not really fond of her music. I really like her 'ULTRA BLUE' album (which is famous for "Passion" which was Kingdom Hearts 2 theme) and some songs here and there though. Hikki is famous for having Jpop most groundbreaking debut at only 16 years old with "Automatic" (this song aged like fine wine tbh) by 1)being one of the biggest selling record in Japan 2)shoving R&B element in her music which was very outstanding at that time. The fact that she wrote at such a young age (and still do) all her lyrics + is fluent in English gave her a very solid 'ace' aura, and die hard fans who still to this day will jump on your throat if you 'dare' criticize their queen lol I remember someone who said that even her most upbeat/positive songs (Keep tryin', COLORS, Traveling…) always had a sad & melancholic era, and I think that's the most accurate description of her music, maybe that's why I have a hard time listening to her albums bc they (beside 'ULTRA BLUE' and 'HEART STATION' which are imo her most lighthearted ones) have this very downer, softdoom vibe~

That being said, it would be ridiculous to not listen to her just bc she has pronouns anon lol It's pretty funny how some people are getting so cranky abt pronouns-having artists and boast about how refuse to entertain anything that they do....but will have issue to keep watching/listening to movies/music of predators, sex pest and convicted rapists lmao

I always got a weird vibe from Sheena Ringo and never got remotely interested in her music. The rumors about she being a closeted Japanese nationalist just bc of her NIPPON album era (where she had her audience wave Japanese imperial flags) are insane though lmao Hopefully those people have the same energy to call out Miley Cyrus for being an American Nationalist for her song "Party in the USA" where she dances before a giant American flag 🤡

I hardly listen to new Japanese artists anymore. I replied to an ask not too long ago where I professed my love for Ayumi Hamasaki (her 10 first year of career were pristine - she really should've retired at her 10 years Complete Singles best album momentum because everything after that has pretty much been trash tbh). Her album LOVEppears is probably my favorite album of all time 🥴

I'll never be over how cute she looks on "Fly High" MV (one of my favorite of her - those platform shoes + micro short + glittery sweatshirt combo will never get old / this MV is 23 years old and that outfit is still KICKIN #legendary)

Also pretty random because that's not a band that I'm checking like that, but THE ORAL CIGARETTES 'UNOFFICIAL' album is an absolute no skip banger. I hardly remember a Jrock album that got me hooked like that those last few years😳

I have so many other Japanese acts that I love it's really insane (I am more savvy of Japanese music that western one).

Soloist wise, I grew up in womanhood listening to Kana Nishino and her music is literally the soundtrack of my early 20s. We were born only a month apart and felt so connected to her and her songs. She truly has a special place in my heart. Her debut & sophomore albums 'LOVE one.' and 'to LOVE' got 20 years old me on a CHOKEHOLD! "Motto" got me crying all my tears off a dusty lmaoooo😭 it's insane how her songs matched with my life - we truly had a connection

Tomiko Van and Kana Nishino are Jpop best vocalists imo ELLEGARDEN (rip) and ART-SCHOOL are my favorite bands of all time. ASIAN KUNG FU GENERATION and UVERworld had a decent run in the 2000s. Perfume is still kicking.....but I don't really catch up with them anymore cause I've been trying to cut out secular music off my playlist

Blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)

Italian Mercutio my beloved!! You know I absolutely love him girl!! His energy is spot on, and his personality, sluttiness and little crush on Romeo were amazing. I couldn't focus on anything else whenever he was on screen because he just stole the show that hard, and the fact that he managed to make me cry laugh AND almost scream with excitement AND to break my heart in just one single scene still has me in awe. He's the absolute best, Shakespeare wishes he wrote him <3

Scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)

Italian Romeo my wholesome dumbass boy!! He was so so sweet and I mean so was Juliet, but maybe because he got more focus as a character I feel like specifically his little crush on Juliet could really nail down that energy of a sweet, innocent first love that never should have ended this way. He was very cute and earnest and very naive and oblivious too and it just makes for a very lovable mix.

Scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)

I'm going with Benvolio for this one. I totally understand why he's the least popular of the main characters and ends up a little forgotten, he really doesn't have the big personalities of Mercutio and Tybalt or the intense dramatic storylines of Romeo and Juliet, but he's still a very good voice of reason character to have around and the official braincell holder of the group. AND he sings the saddest song in the entire musical that I also absolutely love so you know, I really appreciate what he adds to the story.

Glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)

Sorry to break away from retj but Leia from La Légende du Roi Arthur my beloved!!! I swear this character is so funny because I mean really she does fuck all the entire musical and she's still my favorite. Like she stands around Morgana and Guinevere pretty often, she does little evil grins at the audience while the other villains are doing the action part, at one point she picks a handkerchief off the ground and then places it back on the ground a few cm to the left...................... and yet. It's the power of being a hot goth dancer I guess.

Midtown (Rob Hitt) interview From supersonicmag.com November 13th, 2001 via email

Where did the name "Midtown" come from? We wanted a name that was pretty much ambiguous so you wouldn't be able to hear the band name and all of the sudden be able to classify who we are. Ya know, ska bands for example, say, Skaskank Redemption, right there, without a doubt you know what kind of band you're dealing with. We're nothing near ska, but still we wanted the music to speak more than the band name. Gabe was in NYC in 1998 and looked up and "voila", saw "Midtown" and then brought the name to us and we knew it was what we wanted.

How has the band changed, since it began in 1998? It's funny you ask that because just the other night we watched one of our first practices from my basement in December of 1998. We saw ourselves making the same dumb jokes and acting pretty much the same as we do today. As much as we would have hoped we'd be more mature when we got older we haven't seen it yet...

Musically I think we've mainly become better songwriters. Hopefully on the new album the songs will be a bit more cohesive and rock a bit more.

I think it's really great to see more than one person in the band singing lead vocals. Aside from that, what else makes Midtown a unique band? I don't think that it's just that they switch singing lead vocals, but the fact that everyone sings different parts of the songs going back and forth. In addition to just singing alone everyone contributes in three part harmonies so in essence the three lead vocals act like one at times. It helps a lot to have 3 different vocalist because it keeps the songs from being stale since everyone draws from different influences.

I read on your site that you guys are "four college kids." What was your major in college, and did you ever finish? Oh man, I had a totally nerdy major in college. It's called Management Science and Information Systems. Total nerd shit. It's basically setting up networks for businesses and building them databases they can use.... So yeah, is anyone board yet? It was actually kind of cool but we're not gonna go there... Did I ever finish? Ummmm.... no, I was actually about 14 credits short, I'll go back one day but who knows when that'll be.

"Save the World, Lose the Girl" is an awesome cd. How do you plan on topping that with your next album? We're almost done recording right now, I just hope that everyone likes the songs a lot more. I know we're all super stoked on it so it will be fun once it finally gets released. Our only guess right now would be early 2002.

Which do you prefer? Touring or recording? I like them both a lot. Touring is probably more fun but recording is an amazing experience to hear a song from it's first stages until it's finally finished. Kinda like having a baby... Well, I've never had one, but ya know, I'm sure it would be similar.

How do you think you have changed since joining Midtown? Didn't you kinda ask that question already?

Do people treat you differently now? Nah, not really. They no were still poor mofos so they're smart enough not to ask want anything from us.

Do you have a favorite band to tour with? See below but yeah, there's another band too. There is this band from Germany called The Donots, they're so amazing. There website is http://www.donots.de/ They're on this label in Germany that hasn't licensed their album anywhere out of their country so nobody has had a chance to hear of them. They're sooooooo good!

I see that a few of you love The Movielife. ME TOO! Are they close friends of yours? Totally, if I grew up with those guys they would have been like my best friends growing up. If anyone ever meets them they'll know what I'm talking about.

What is the most frustrating thing about the music industry? Being poor and being taken advantage of. There are some absolutely amazing people in the industry that would blow you away but on the opposite side there are the people that pretend to be nice to you just to get something from you. It's pretty much life, ya know, there are always good and bad people.

What can we look for from Midtown in the upcoming year? THE NEW ALBUM. Seriously, we're really excited for it to come out. Which memeber is the most neurotic? Damn, we're all neurotic in our own different way. We're very interesting people.

Which member gets stuck doing most of the dirty work? What do you consider dirty work? I know a cat took a shit in Heath's shoe once and he had to clean it out of there so yeah, in that case Heath.

Gabe does a lot of the paper work stuff , I do a lot of online stuff, and Tyler looks works really hard on his hair, we all pitch in a bit.

What's the funniest prank that you've played on someone in the band? A friend of mine filled in for me on drums for a tour and let's just say a bowl of his cereal and a hot dog were involved.

Which member do you think the girls go crazy for? Me of course, come on, like they'd go for anyone else in the band, jeez, like you even had to even ask.

How do you decide who drives? We switch off in shifts. We usually each drive as long as we can and then the next person in the shift drives. Sometimes Heath likes to drive so of course we're not gonna say "NO."

Do you guys get along well? Absolutely, I think a lot of the reason we don't have a lot of problems is because before we started touring we all lived in a house in New Brunswick when we were still in college. That helps you learn a lot of the things a person does and how to deal with them.

Were you friends before the band began? Totally, that was one of the main reasons we formed the band. When we were in our old bands we always played local shows together so we knew each other pretty well.

Thoughts on Red, White, and Royal Blue(Taking notes helps me retain information so ofc I do it about my media like a goddamn nerd)

Overall thoughts:

I give this movie a 4/10. The actors were incredible and the jokes landed where they were suppose to. I was really excited for the movie, and I probably would have loved it if I hadn't read the book first (I don't regret reading it first. I adore the book, probably going to reread it). For me, the pacing was just extremely distracting. I didn't know where I was at any point in time. By the time I would figure it out, I was somewhere else. I also think that the removal of certain characters (June,Rafael, and Leo), the sugar coating of Zahra, and the microdosing (idk what else to call it) of other characters (Nora, Bea, Percy, and Shaan) really takes allies away from Henry and Alex, along with major plot devices within the main story. I felt like the movie cut out a lot of scenes (Star Wars, historical letters, the Rumors, Henry's date with June, the campaign, Nora in general, Alex's reaction to the leak, and the exposing Richards to name a few) really hurt the integrity of this movie for me. I was super excited going in, but now I'm just kind of bitter.

I did like how Henry and Alex's actors had some (from my pov) really good chemistry. That or they're just really good actors. They are, but like...differently. loved Oscar, loved the charcarization as a whole (other than maybe Bea (she felt kind of bland) and Zarha (she felt sugar coated). As a whole, all the actors (and yes, I do mean all) did an amazing job. Set design was absolutely breath taking. Most of the music was spot on (still salty about "Your Song" being cut out but yknow), and I'm a band kid and a theater kid so music means a lot to me. I loved the little metaphors, like when Alex gave Henry the key to his house (a bold choice, but it worked). I feel like Ellen deserved more of a "Im struggling to find an election balance and a mom balance" arc that Book!Ellen got, but Uma Thurman did a great job with Ellen. She didn't play too hard into the accent, and it was tasteful (much appreciated by the by). Loved Amy (wish we could have seen he do crafts tho...and her dog). LOVED it when they decked Henry out in commoner clothes!

So, yeah. My review of the movie is a 4/10. Here are the notes that better explain my personal opinion. If you enjoyed it, I'm so happy for you/gen.

Notes:

• The lack of June as a character takes away so many plot points and character building opportunities from all of the characters

• The loss of Leo as a character takes away from much of the drama not only within the First Family but also within the debate

• Who decided Miguell as a character???seems like they took that Post reporter from the book and turned his affection to Alex instead, which I guess they had to since the tossed June.

• I love Ellen, Oscar, Zahra, Amy, Pez (why can't they ever call him pez?), Nora, and Shaan.

• The movie is moving really fast. I can hardly keep up with. I'm constantly in a state of "Wait, where am I? Why am I here? This isn't supposed to happen yet is it?"

• I can't explain it, but Henry has very gay

• Where's Rafael? He's like the reason for the climax (lmao)

• Sending him to Texas? But he's not supposed to be there yet!

• I'm so lost that I can't keep up with the movie. I can't even enjoy the sap from the email reading because I'm really confused.

• The acting is really good! The pacing is just off.

• I hate this Miguel guy.

• HENRY IS SUPPOSE TO BE CONFORTING HIM BECAUSE OF THE BETRAYAL

• I am enjoying this 20 Questions scene, very cute yet very sad

Are you currently wanting any piercings or tattoos? Yeah. I'm saving up money/taking pictures for people again so I can get my cover-up tattoo HOPEFULLY soon, and I want an industrial ear cartilage piercing as well as my nostril re-pierced, but I doubt that's coming soon now that I know how expensive my cover-up is going to be.

What’s something that you like, that no one would think you’d like? Uhhhhh... OH, hunting video games. I've played them ever since childhood and just find them oddly relaxing. I have no idea how I got into them with how against trophy hunting I am, and I NEVER would do it in real life (even when I was a child, I knew this), but *shrug*

What does your best friend think of your crush/significant other? They're the same person.

Are you listening to music, currently? Yeah, I have this collection of electro remixes of various Rammstein songs on. I fucking love metal/rock mixed with electronic/techno-type music so I can binge the SHIT outta this kind of stuff.

Do you honestly think before you speak? USUALLY, yes; I'd say I tend to OVERTHINK what I want to say. However, I know that when I'm upset, I can be very impulsive with what I say and I am trying very sincerely to correct this behavior.

Who is someone you wish you got to know? It's insane how quickly I knew the answer to this: Jason's nephew Dominic. His brother's wife was pregnant with him when we broke up, and I even went to her baby shower very shortly AFTER we split. I wanted to meet and love him as an aunt so badly. I have literally cried over this, more than once. I know via his mom's obituary that they actually have two sons now.

Who is one person you regret meeting? The two boys that harassed me in pre-k and kindergarten come to mind because they absolutely instilled problems in me that have carried into today.

Where would you go if you got kicked out of your place? Either my dad's or Girt's, I'd guess.

When have you felt most depressed in your life? End of 2015 through all of 2016. Breakup aftermath. I genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, wanted to die every single moment of every day, but was too scared to kill myself until I ODed at the start of '17.

When have you been most happy in your life? Realistically probably my childhood. Otherwise, I don't know. Depression and stuff have played too big a role in my maturing/mature years.

Why do you believe/not believe in God? I could probably write my longest possible essay on this fucking topic. But look around you. That's all I need to say to have a strong case already.

How did you get your last bruise? I actually have no idea; I had a random one show up on my chest and I haven't the slightest idea where it came from.

How are you and your most recent ex? We have no form of connection and I plan on it staying that way for the rest of our lives.

How are your parents doing? I can't say for sure about Dad just because I see/talk to him so sparsely. I never really know what's current with him. My mom is okay, all things considered I guess; I was really happy to hear that her after-cancer management doctor is pleasantly surprised that her cancer hasn't reappeared yet with how severe it was. It's GOING to one day, but we're cherishing every single day it doesn't. She still does have health problems though, especially with her sugar being maintained at a safe level; it plummets very dangerously low very suddenly and quickly. She's always stressed financially. She absolutely hates living in this house with our shitty landlord/"friend" dangling her "great kindness" over Mom's head. She's constantly hurt over how my older sister treats her when it comes to being involved as family. My mom has never, EVER gotten even a fraction of what she fucking deserves.

Would you marry someone if they were unable to have sex? Yeah.

How long has it been since you had sex? Haven't had genuine sex yet.

Last reason you went to the ER? I was suicidal.

Were you a planned pregnancy for your parents? I'm not totally sure? Mom's said SHE'D planned on having another kid, but the wording made me wonder if my dad wanted another. I would hope it's something they agreed on, and it seems very un-Mom-like to make that decision on her own.

Do your parents like your boyfriend/girlfriend? They've always loved him. It'd be nice if Dad sees Girt again at some point though, like I still don't know if he even knows we're together. I do KINDA worry how Girt sees my dad/will react to him following the movie theater incident, but...

What if an ex asked to be back in your life? I'd totally be friends with Aaron again, but everyone else, the answer is no. Well, I mean... maybe I wouldn't turn Juan away if he messaged me wanting to get back in touch, SO LONG as he no longer flirted with me. I don't care if he's all the way back in Mexico, I would not be okay with that anymore. He was a person who could make me smile and laugh a lot and was very nice to me (emphasis on "to me," I guess...), so so long as he respected my boundaries, being friends again would maybe be okay?

Last gift you received? Ha ha oh man, so a few days ago I got a completely unexpected package of a big Silent Hill map blanket, and Mom was so confused and thought I'D somehow bought something or she'd ordered something she forgot about, but nope. A short while back, Girt showed me it, and I'd seen it before and casually commented on how I'd always wanted it with absolutely zero intention for him to actually buy it, but he secretly did lmfao.

Has someone had their arms around you in the past 7 days? Yeah. Normal hugs, but also on the 15th when I had my absolute emotional breakdown over thinking Girt was going to leave, he held me really tightly the entire time I cried my heart and lungs out and was constantly reassuring me.
