Songs in Season 3

This is what I got from pausing every .5 seconds with the trailer:

What Time is It? (in the car on the way to camp)

Start the Party (possibly a mashup with What Time is It? Gina is leading the song)

Audition song (Gina is gonna go "all out." I think she'll have a costume change during the audition like Nini did in Season 1 and she'll suddenly be singing in a professional setting wearing all gold)

Basketball song (Corbin Bleu and Gina will be dancing)

Ricky song (where he's looking out to the city and playing an invisible guitar...)

Color wars song (between yellow and blue. No one asked but here are the teams: yellow team - Maddox, Jet, Kourtney, Carlos. Blue team - EJ, Ashlyn, Gina, Ricky. Meg is probably running the event as she is holding a microphone and singing)

I'm not sure about this one, but at 1:03 in the trailer we see Kourtney and EJ singing and dancing in their episode 1 clothes. This could be Start the Party.

EJ song where he's playing guitar! (about time we get an EJ guitar song)

Jet singing, could be part of the audition song but I hope he gets his own song

Nini song where she's also playing guitar

Camp prom song, I see Carlos and Seb singing in the background. Might be karaoke.

In another version of the Season 3 trailer, we see Ashlyn singing while playing the piano!!

This wasn't in the trailer at all, but Gina and EJ should definitely sing Can I Have This Dance?

What song is everyone most excited for? For me it's probably Ashlyn singing the piano ballad :)

Can we talk about those weird dance scenes in the trailer with Gina and Corbin Blue

those ones. They clearly aren't in at the camp based on the background. It's almost all black with a bunch of lights which would seem hard to do out in the woods.

Plot wise it would make the most sense for these to be scenes like "1-2-3" or "Second chance" where it's just visuals for a song except it doesn't make sense for Gina to be there. I can see Corbin Blue having a song about HSM which would explain all the basketball jerseys and the basketball lines on the floor. But then why is Gina there? And we barley see any of Corbin Blue in the trailer and it seems like he won't have much character development like the kind that normally comes along with these types of songs. It could be near the beginning of the series when he's singing about what he's doing at that camp but then there wouldn't have been time for him and Gina to get close enough for only her to be in it.

We see that Gina has a dance like "1-2-3", probably for her audition but there she's wearing a sparkly gold outfit instead of her white outfit in these scenes. It's possible that she changes her outfit but again this will probably be near the beginning and why would Corbin Blue be in it. There's also the question of why would there be the theme of basketball, maybe the song could be about Ricky and it's a reference to his "get'cha head in the game" performance but basketball also isn't a big part of Ricky's character and it would make more sense if it was about skateboards since they're actually a big part of Ricky's character and the skate part was a more important part of their story compared to "get'cha head in the game".

This theory doesn't fit into the plot as much but it explains the scenes pretty well. These scenes could be from a music video Corbin Blue shoots with Gina to celebrate HSM. It might be that he hears the wildcats' story and feels inspired by it so he decides to shoot a video about HSM and gets one of the wildcats to be in it. If you look at the colours of the jersey you can also see that it's the colours of their colour war instead of the colours of HSM like you would expect. This possibility brings up way more questions than it answers like would Gina have to leave the wildcats for a bit for that to happen? Would this cause a conflict between Gina and Carlos who might also want that spot? and most importantly what would it do for the plot?

What I'm thinking is most likely is that this is like "1-2-3" but for the colour wars episode where one person from each team has to do a dance with Corbin Blue. This explains the outfits, why it's just the 2 of them and I can see how the basketball court thing on the floor could be explained. Though it does have the issue of if Gina is also going to have this flashy cutaway music video for her audition then it would come across as repetitive for it to be done again.

Does anyone else have thoughts on this? Maybe I'm just missing something

HSMTMTS Season 3 Trailer Thoughts

The beginning's actually kinda funny (something wildcats!).

Why is the right part of the scene blurred at 16 seconds..? It's pretty obvious if you pause there.

MADDOX MY LOVE

Maddox's face when she's holding out the phone bin lol

Is it just me or is Kourtney taking a selfie at a random moment kind of like Season 1 Carlos?

It annoys me that they spent 14 seconds in the trailer on the announcing Corbin and the putting on Frozen part (mainly because it was already in the sneak peek) but I know, some FaNs didn't know about it sooo

So Gina's wearing all gold while dancing on stage. I think that she's gonna have her Season 1 Nini moment where she's auditioning and then is suddenly transported to some dream stage and wearing something different (they did this in 1-2-3 in season 2 as well).

I can't see Olivia Rodrigo or Nini with a gigantic sunhat and holding a white lace umbrella but here we are

And Ricky is now standing on a log looking out to the city. I was thinking it's probably some Troy song, like Scream perhaps...? Although to be realistic, maybe EJ should sing Scream because of his whole college decision (which strangely wasn't even brought up in the trailer).

So now Gina's talking about how this is her first time doing a bunch of stuff. I think that maybe she's about to sing For the First Time in Forever because.... I mean it would make sense.

Carlos looks ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED talking about how Portwell will be a thing all summer...

Gina girl it is not your first time going all out for the lead in the show. You did that with HSM, you just didn't actually get the lead... unless Gina's talking about going all out AS the lead of the show?

They show a color wars song for a bit. Meg/Val has a mic so I'm sure she'll be singing quite a bit in that song. I'm lowkey not interested at all in a color wars thing, but oh well. Maybe it'll be interesting. Oh and later in the trailer it shows Jet (on the yellow team) being held up by his teammates so I guess we already know that the yellow team wins

Val announcing EJ as the director is making me ship Casval even harder (yes I am calling them Casval lol)

I swear I will make a slideshow of all the times the girls in Season 3 are wearing shirts with puffy sleeves.

So I've heard that EJ saying he's freaking out could be because of him directing a musical for the first time.... or it could be about Rina developing again?

Okay it actually made me laugh when Ricky said that he thought someone in Frozen was named Gary. I know some people are shocked that he doesn't even know the main characters of Frozen but then I remembered I've had a friend who NEVER watched Disney so perhaps some people are just not as connected with the Disney movies world O_O

RICKY WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WEARING?!? Is Ricky pulling an EJ and going into the auditions in costume

Nini talking to some creepy guy scares me. I know that he's supposed to be a "family friend" but yeah. Also wasn't she supposed to be working with Jamie?

Ashlyn's hair color going from orange streaks to blue streaks lol. I always think her hair looks so good though so I'm not going to question how she changed it halfway through a summer camp.

For anyone who thinks that's not Maddox and Madison, the next shot shows Madison with the same exact hairstyle and Maddox wearing the sunglasses on top of her head. Just sayin'

NINI NOTHING FROM THE PAST FEW YEARS HAS- okay she has only really thought about becoming a singer/songwriter for one semester. Literally. Before that, she was content with just being in musicals.

Also Miss Jenn looks very different (her hair is just getting shorter each season lol)

EJ if you say nothing's gonna ruin your summer with your girlfriend you're basically ASKING for it to be ruined.

So Ricky was clearly writing a song, and then did that HSM 3 thing (if anyone remembers) where he purposely was showing her the paper but not letting her have it.

It lowkey makes sense for Rina to develop anyways. EJ is too busy being a camp director. Gina's the lead. Ricky MIGHT get Kristoff.

I swear if I have to hear Corbin say "Wha-what?" again I'm going to scream.

Them specifying that Meg is from Zombies haha

EJ is probably giving the thumbs up to Gina's audition. Adding onto that, WHATEVER happens with what Gina gets, it's gonna cause chaos. If she gets the lead, people will say "Oh that's unfair because you're dating our director." On the other hand, maybe EJ won't give her the lead BECAUSE people would think that way.

The stakes have never been higher...? I'm confused last time I checked it's a Frozen musical that is put on by a two-week summer camp. It's really not that big...

But yes I will also be obsessing over every episode so maybe it is a big thing.

I'm sure only my Discord friends have maybe made it this far but thanks for reading haha :) glad that the trailer FINALLY released.
