i finally reinstalled stardew mods on my desktop because the thought of having unmodded obelisks was too distressing, but man. trying to find attractive reskin mods that don't just make things desaturated and vaguely victorian is a fucking trial. i know elle who made the cute animals cannot reasonably be expected to reskin every item in the game but it would be fucking nice.

"god I hate people who draw falsettos marvin this way" "fuck people who draw whizzer like that'"
*edited*
...guys, do you know what an art style is???? cuz', this seems pointed. I see what you mean. I completely agree.
But hear me out. Along with these posts, could we consider? Maybe? Some constructive criticism? People should draw them more accurate.
They SHOULD.
But how should they do it? Realism art? It's a foreign concept to me. I try and it absolutely fucking sucks and i'd love to be a part of this fandom showing that the characters are real people but
It's kind of
Just
Very "do this. No other explanation. Change it."
Look, I really want to. And I am trying. But could we like, make a space for teaching people? Cuz I am stumped dude like fr. Need some guidance.
sincerely, a tired lesbian who is infinitely more tired of seeing this everywhere. thanks

“Shufu, it is all a misunderstanding—” But it does not make much of a difference. Wei Wuxian is more than six inches taller than he is, and the Lans are taller still. They are perfectly able to talk over his head. Not for the first time, Meng Yao reflects with teeth-grinding frustration that perhaps he should take to wearing a very tall hat.
I just read "both the prison and the open hand (bells on low, on high)" by ariaste on ao3 and I definitely didn't do the scene justice but the idea of modernau!JGY thinking wistfully of his ridiculous hat made me laugh too much not to desperately try to scribble out the scene

Honestly, with how amazing the sets of the OP live action look, I’m starting to think One Piece is one of the few shows where being adapted into live action is actually very meta and appropriate.
Because when it was a manga or anime, everyone always just said it was ‘too cartoony’ and childish and stuff and brushed it off as bad art or concept, but then Gear Five and Nika came at us to slap it in our faces that it was all the exact intention in the first place. It was always meant to be that cartoony, on purpose.
I feel the LA really just drives in that Luffy was always supposed to be this bizzare, weirdly cartoony character in a world where none of it is normal, you know? And it does that better than the anime does (because anime art helps with a suspension of disbelief and all.)
During the whole East Blue saga, all his enemies screamed and freaked out at the sight of him because why is his face stretching like that? That’s so creepy, get him away from me! And it’s just so incredibly ironic that the initial public audience reception to LA Luffy stretching is disgust. Like, ‘ew that’s so weird-looking!’ or that the CGI was bad.
It’s so ironic, because that’s exactly it! That’s exactly what they’re trying to do! That’s exactly what the Gomu Gomu no mi is supposed to make you feel!

[Image Description: Redesigns of CDI Link & Zelda. Link holds up his sword with a grin, excited looking. He wears a green headband with a silver wing on the sides. His eyes are hazel and his loose blond hair is shoulder length. He wears a green vest, and a teal-green skirt. His undershirt and tights are brown, sleeves decorated with gold diamond designs. He has a pouch attached to his thigh, with beads attached that match the minish cap elements with brown and white beads between them. Zelda stands next to him, arms crossed. She wears a purple dress with a tri-force triangle patterned trim. She wears a blue vest, and has a magic lantern attached to her belt. She wears a sparkling dark purple cloak. She wears a light purple tiara with a blue gem in the center. Her boots are light brown with pale wing-like designs. End ID]
I have designed a CDI & Hero of Men combo boy because I watched a playthrough of the CDIs and have discovered I love him and his scrunkly face ok? (and since the Hero of Men is the only other Link on my timeline I haven't already designed and CDI obviously did something else *before* helping Kordiai, I thought "hey, why not" toss those two together.)
Now my only question is. Do I give into my new blorbo brain and toss him into the story or not? :P

i think i wouldn’t hate disco elysium’s collage mode nearly as much if it weren’t for 1) the way that it was marketed in such a tasteless, soulless manner, let alone the fact that it was a last ditch distraction from a dead on its feet studio piloted by dumbass thieving execs and released on the day of the court declaration, and 2) those dumbass fucking stickers
like if it had been included with the base game from the start and had been titled something a bit more tasteful and in-line with how i would have liked the feature to be marketed as— something like “exploration mode”, something that perhaps could only be unlocked after completing the game for the first time, AND didn’t have those stupid as hell visually and tonally incongruent with the artstyle stickers, i would have applauded it as a nice little bonus for being able to study and appreciate the 3d models and environments for reference.
