I actually wish armys would try to get that 1 billion plaque for every member instead of just yapping about it as a subconscious desire to level things with Jimin.

Because I wanna see them try to balance five songs to take them to 1 billion, take fake love to 1 billion (because remember that's a thing), still stream SNTY (for end of year awards guys), and prioritise new releases (none of y'all deserve Tae or rap line 🥺). End of the day all they'll end up doing is removing those 2 LC streams from their 8 hour playlists.

Also real talk this happens for Jimin not because all of the armys who are suddenly inspired about 1 billion streams are explicitly Jimin antis. No it's because even if they don't hate Jimin, in their minds he's not that great. He's a part of BTS and they like his personality but other than that they have no respect for him as a performer. They'll always tune in for his songs, watch his performances, focus on the songs where he's got the most lines but it never clicks in their mind that that keeps happening because he's a superior artist or because he's better. So when Jimin achieves anything, they all decide that if Jimin can do it, it must not be that difficult. If we can do it for Jimin, then of course we can do it for Tae and hyung line and god forbid it doesn't happen, they start throwing a pity party. I'm getting more annoyed as I speak on it.

You have to question whether they think this is because they know they’re not supporting Jimin (despite him only having them apparently 🥴) whereas the other members get their *full* backing. Or because they really think that lowly of him despite his obvious popularity. Probably a combination of both.

Realistically, only TH will probably be getting that 1B plaque. Hyung Line isn’t getting one. It’s just the truth. An army posted the year that they’d achieve it in and some of them are in nearly the next decade unless they get at-least quadruple the stream rate they’re getting now. Armys have picked up and dropped multiple songs towards that 1B goal so many times. Either because of their pissing contest with blinks or them wanting somebody else to get a record over Jimin. Every Spotify update, Neuron is dropping by the double digits and the rest of hyung line stays on that chart max 2 weeks. As soon as JK announces another single, this “all 7 to 1B” project will be forgotten and they’ll go right back to making him the center of everything again because they don’t care about HL fr. They exist purely as a foil to Jimin also standing out in any capacity for armys.

God ok. So I rewatched the season 3 finale right. This was my first rewatch since bingeing the entire show in 2 days with no breaks except sleep last spring so obviously this was my first REAL watch of it that wasn't over emotional and sleep deprived. And I still cried my eyes out.

That finale (and the third season as a whole) is such a perfect piece of television for so many reasons but I'm just gonna be rambling about some of my favorite details for a second so just hang tight

Guillermo interrupting himself at the beginning with "and I deserve it" is SO UNDERRATED I'm obsessed with him

Laszlo draws such a realistic line of putting up a front of apathy even though we as the audience know how close he and Colin got that season. Like obviously he's mourning but it's not cartoonishly obvious that he's lying like we would see from Nadja. He's just unusually quiet.

Colin's pictures being torn out jumpscared me. Not a fun thing to forget about when you aren't emotionally prepared

I miss the Nadja doll. Where was she in season 4 fr

It cuts to Guillermo when Nandor talks about being reminded of how eternal life can be snuffed out in an instant. Camera guys ily

Here's my bestest of boy Alejandro hcs as always this is going to be more on the realistic side and I hope you enjoy this y'all have been so kind with the head cannons (also State tune for all my soap lovers out there he's going to be next)

When I tell you I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to find a love song for him I REALLY DID THIS MF WAS DIFFICULT (anyways song by Sam Smith fire on fire) but you know what the second it came on it fit him perfectly

WHEN I TELL YOU THIS MF IS EXTREMELY HOT HEADED! he really is the littlest things really bother him. (it's never you though, or anything you do, so you don't have to worry about it.) all you hear from him is loud cursing/how he could have done it better and faster.

A lot like Simon he's used to being in control of things because he's a commander, so he's used to having people under his wing to look after. So when he's home he can't help but try to take control of everything, because he doesn't want you to worry. (you have to constantly remind him you're not on the field/base, and it's okay to back off, and just sit back.)

As expected he has tons of guilt, from fallen soldiers. he has to watch over so this often has him in a depressed state, because he feels like he could have done something to prevent all of it. he's a protector by heart so when he can't protect those soldiers, even though they knew what they were getting into, it still pains him. it often has him questioning if he's even good for Las Almas/you. if he can't even protect his own. (which leads to him trying to push you away)

He sometimes experiences nightmares/night terrors. which has led to him jumping up in the middle of the night holding a knife to your throat, because he thought you were an enemy. (yeah he's not allowed to sleep around weapons anymore when he's on leave)

When I tell you this man is overprotective, I MEAN OVERPROTECTIVE! (low key a little possessive/jealous but not in the you can't go hang out, you can't have a job, type of away.) he loves you with his entire body, soul, and heart, what can I say he's a passionate and romantic lover.

I see him as having terrible patience. like man's fr fr needs to take a class on patients or some shit. (Also has terrible road rage can't tell me otherwise. That's why Rudy drives everywhere)

When y'all fight they usually turn into screaming yelling fights. because well a lot like the song he is fire, he's too damn stubborn, and hot headed, to see your side. until it either turns into you breaking down, (may or may not be a very spicy time) or until one of y'all back down, which is very rare because he don't like backing down.

But after each fight depending on what it was and when y'all finally have a minute to breathe. he'll come around feeling terrible/like a major asshole, on how he treated you and apologize. (even though he low-key hates it cuz he doesn't like admitting he was wrong even though he knows he is)

This might not come as a surprise, but he smokes a lot. (him Simon and price Bond over smoking breaks)

When I tell you this man gives measure HE WAS A DADDY'S BOY VIBES! HE REALLY DOES. like he was connected to his dad at the hip, which is why he is the way he is. and he's so passionate about everything especially his country/partners. he saw how his father treated his mother, and gave her Queen treatment. he knew that's how he wanted to treat his future partner/how partners should be treated. (you can think his father, for the Queen treatment you get.)

One thing that did surprised you. Was when you guys got together, is he actually didn't learn to cook from his mother. no he learned it from his father, he was always in the kitchen with his dad. looking at the way he always made his mother's favorite food, so it kind of turned into a love language for him as it was for his dad.

One thing that didn't surprise you though, is that he is a God damn handyman. anything you need he's right on it fixing it and will not accept help from anybody. (not even Rudy) he prides himself on being able to fix anything. But for some reason in the process he always somehow electrocutes himself no one knows how and you're getting concerned.

I could also see him being the kind of guy that would like purposely challenge everybody, beat them. and then challenge you, and lose to let you win, cuz he wants to see you happy it makes his entire day.

Love language physical touch, acts of service. (our boy fr fr doesn't know how to keep his hands off you, you practically have to pry him off of you, if you want to do anything.)

I'm going to end this off by saying OH MY FUCKIN GOD! y'all ate up the ghost fanfic I made. and honestly I low key was crying seeing how many of y'all really enjoyed it, thank you so much for that. and thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this, and enjoy this as well I hope. anyways reblogs and comments are always much appreciated!🖤

Familiar Territory

BlackIce for Valentines Day!!! LET'S GOOO! A few years after Chance and Choice, BlackIce being back together for a hot second by this point.

I'm gonna be so fr, this little one shot has made me realize that I maybe don't know how to write fluff for these bitches?? It was harder than I thought it would be! There are other more fluffy concepts in my wips but this one has a lot more substance.

Oh, also y'all remember Ryder from this little doodle dump? The Mermaid? His character got overhauled and his name is Rowan now lol.

Bonus doodle at the very end, ENJOY!

Anyone from the magical realms will tell you, with varying levels of jealousy, that there are plenty of places that a magical being can roam about freely amongst human kind with minimal or even no cloaking involved. One of these being New York City, wherein everyone seems at least a little bit off kilter or odd in a way that blends everyone together in their strangeness. So realistically in the height of the Christmas season, no one would ever notice, or at least look twice at a very seasonally appropriate man in a blue suit in the midst of an otherwise normal group of friends.

"Join us! Join us! JOIN US!" Lucy’s chants fade into and then quickly out of earshot to Killian as her and Jack skate by yet another time on their route around the rink. She turns around on her skates and holds onto Jack’s shoulder so he can keep pulling her along as she waves down her fellow redhead as they go for another lap around.

She shouted the same thing to him for the last five laps and just like those other times he paid her no mind, glued to his chain smoking spot leaning against a nearby column.

The ambience of the Winter Village rink during Christmas on the edge of dusk was the pinnacle of experiencing the Christmas spirit that particular day. Even in her early twenties her enthusiasm for such things has never wavered, bouncing off the walls all day and Jack, Killian and Rowan were all subject to her special brand of holiday energy. Which includes her insisting that Killian should get out on the ice with them.

He only showed up maybe an hour ago, knowing that Jack was somewhere in the city, but he overlooked the inevitable presence of his emotional support dormouse and her new squeeze. So the boogeyman patiently waits for them to finish off on the side of the rink, watching her spin back around to take Jack’s arm for the casual stroll. His presence unassumingly creates a breach of space in the crowd of civilians around him who fear to approach him any further for reasons they themselves cannot articulate.

“Behind you!” Rowan shouts out to the pair as he quickly catches up to them on their rotation.

A curiously out of sorts human pyromancer that swept the young woman off her feet about 6 months ago. The whole met in college love story between a wizard and a sorceress with the stack of dropped books that he offered to help her with and everything. A rigamarole of horrible cliches that they've been enjoying to no end.

He quickly catches up to the pair and crashes into Lucy from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist and pushing her forward and away from Jack as they slow to a stop further ahead. She chuckles in good spirits with him all the same.

“How'd I do?” Rowan asks through gasps of air as he brushes back the brown shaggy hair from his face.

Lucy rolls up the sleeve on her overcoat to check her watch, “Fifteen laps around in…forty five minutes.”

"What!? Oh come on! I was really pushing it too,” he chuckles breathlessly.

“That's not a bad time at all! I don't think.”

"Eh. I've seen faster," Jack interjects as he quickly passes them by.

“Nobody asked you,” she shouts after him, quickly tilting her head up to Rowan. “Don't listen to him, your time was fine. If it's any consolation you were fast in my heart.”

Rowan snickers, “That doesn't even make sense.”

“It does so! Physics works differently in my heart. And what makes even more sense is getting a cocoa break,” she can feel her date dropping his arms from her waist as she takes his hand and pulls him along. “Keeping warm is important when someone likes to bite peoples fingers!”

Jack turns over his shoulder at the call out as they catch back up to him, “Excuse me? You've got the wrong guy here. I've worked hard to scrub that reputation clean ya know, and you're over here dragging my name back through the mud again. If you're looking for a finger biter, look at him.”

He vaguely gestures to Killian on the sidelines as the three of them complete the last lap and skate back up to the gate they entered at. Jack watches Lucy and Rowan exit the rink while he lingers behind on the ice and throws his elbows on the ledge. On cue, Killian throws the half burnt cigarette onto the floor and snuffs it out with boot, throwing his hands into his pockets to stroll over to where Jack has stopped.

“Your turn,” he says with a smug grin.

He rolls his eyes, “Absolutely not.”

“Why? Because you know you can't do it?”

“Yeah, actually. So what,” Killian shifts his weight slightly over to stand a fraction closer to the open gateway to the rink, the throngs of people moving about around him also move accordingly.

“So, I've been trying to teach you how for sky knows how long. It's your own fault you don't know.”

“None of that has been teaching, it was sabotaging,” he provides a ghost of a smile, “It's not a skill I need to know. There has never been a time where skating on the ice has ever been useful to me.”

“Says who?” Jack replies, “Who's to say it won't come in handy in the knick of time one of these days?”

“Me. That's never gonna happen so I don't need to learn.”

Jack gets an idea. Well, Jack had the idea ever since Killian showed up and has been simmering this entire time. It's the same idea he always has in locations and circumstances like these.

“Mhm, right. So why are you here exactly?” he asks with an air of feigned innocence.

Killian sighs, “Because I actually wanna do something fun for a change.”

“What, you're telling me that small children face planting onto the ice isn't fun?”

Killian looks out onto the ice with a small chuckle to see if any such occurrences would make themselves loudly known, “Oh don't get me wrong, that's always funny. Especially if you get a few right after the other in a stupid little domino effect. Or if all of them go down at once at the same time.”

Jack snorts in choking back a laugh, “Exactly. And I'm sure it would be a lot funnier from a better vantage point,” He says, motioning to the open gate.

Kills shakes his head, “Hah, nice try, but not in your immortal life. Now let's blow this ice cube stand and go west, I want a front row seat when the 405 gets backed up and wrecked from a freak blizzard.”

The marginally threatening tone and that one specific look was practically designed to catch a Yes as an answer, as the prospect was something they did often in the last couple years. Jack makes it seem he’s got him hook, line and sinker.

“Fine. I guess I can squeeze that into my very busy schedule—,” Jack pauses as he takes one foot off the ice, looking around the immediate vicinity before grabbing Killians arm with both hands, “—later!”

In one fell swoop Jack pulls Killian out onto the ice with subtle wisps of blue magic forming under his boots with each step to make blades of ice. A couple of sharp swears are heard as he clumsily stumbles into the rink, nearly slipping and falling at least twenty times in quick succession, forced to grab onto Jack as his only form of stability. He quickly comes to an unsteady stop, far enough away from the gate so he can't backtrack too easily and practically clings to Jack out of necessity, holding his breath.

Jack on the other hand keeps both of their weight steady by holding onto his upper arms with the biggest, shit eating smirk on his face. He lets him adjust his balance slightly as he lets the moment simmer for half a second, savoring it.

“Need help?” he finally says.

Killian's face uncharacteristically flushes, “No...! And fuck you!”

Jack can’t help but snicker while trying to help him stand up straighter and actually get moving somewhat, which his body language vehemently disagrees with and actively fights him against, “I just can't believe that after nearly two thousand years you still fall for it. Everytime. Truly amazing, have I ever told you how incredible you are?”

“Shut up! I’ll fucking kill you,” Killian grumbles, nearly sputters, tightening his grip on arms when his feet wobble a bit, “You are going to pay for this later, I swear to god.”

“Hm, promise?”

This actually earns a tiny laugh from him, but also gains a more menacing look, “You’d like that wouldn't you. Your just so fucking lucky that there’s so many people hERE—!”

Lucy and Rowan seated themselves on a nearby bench to watch Killian nearly fall again, each having their own cup of fresh cocoa. Lucy stretches and waves one of her arms in the air to catch their attention, “You're doing great Kills!”

“Lucy, I will break BOTH of your legs!”

Killian doesn't turn back but Jack looks directly at her with that same smug grin and a casual two finger salute to her as Killlian tries to steady himself again, clearly enjoying every precious second, knowing that it is a passing moment of superiority.

Lucy pays his threat no mind, Rowan beside her giving the two a more worried look for her safety as they survey the pair on the ice, their relative peace quickly devolves into their usual petty arguing about how Killian was only making things worse and Jack telling him to stop moving so much. This, turning a few heads of the other skaters that stay far, far away from the duo.

Rowan turns back to Lucy, giving a quick glance to her mug before pulling out his wand from an inside coat pocket. He brings the amber tip to trace the rim of the cup with a very soft glow, summoning trails of golden magic to follow its path and dip into the hot chocolate with fading sparkle and seeping the enchantment into the drink, making sure it stays at a perfectly hot temperature.

“You're almost as bad as him,” she softly smiles and brings the cup to her mouth, “you're not supposed to use magic out and about ya know.”

“It's not magic, it's…a prop,” he casually tries to excuse. “There's a Harry Potter store like, an hour away, it's fine. I just hate that the drinks get cold so fast.”

“Thanks,” her posture relaxes when taking another sip and leaning her head on his shoulder.

yes I love psychoanalyzing my character to no end

because reader was being honest when she said she probably would've ended up with Conway, realistically they would've ended up together if the games hadn't happened. she would have settled to have a normal life with him and would have been happy enough, but never as happy as she would be with Finnick

and Conway cared about her so much, that he would've been fine with that. honestly though I don't think Conway could have won, I think he was so angry when he realized reader had been using him, known his feelings and used it to get back to someone who'd once broken her heart just set him off. I think he would've instantly been flooded with guilt if she'd died and so either Birch or Marlowe would've won.

additionally I think about how Conway never would be able to understand why reader couldn't just actually love him back, when he cared so much, was so reasonable, but she just didn't want the life he did. and I tried to portray some of those differences when it came to reader wanting the peaches and trading the necklace because he's so do what you need, use what you can afford, and value what people give you, where's she more of you only live once, live for the moment, at least before her games.

and yes, reader knows that she has to perform to survive and that if she wins she can help her family, she would've thought she'd finally be able to live the life she wanted, and maybe finnick would take her back. in the catching fire book, Katniss mentions how she doesn't believe any victor is really a pure person since they did what they had to do to survive (she makes an exception for peeta) and I love being able to reflect that too. reader isn't some angel of a person, she uses someone's feelings, she manipulated, and lies. she's also a teenager, so even things she does before the games to conway are side effects of her being human and a teenager. she's not perfect, finnick's not perfect, conway isn't perfect. but they're all victims and all deserve so much better.

And another thing!!!! (My mind is occupied by this topic a lot this morning lol) The people who put those headcanons on the characters only focus on the Fun UwU Quirky parts of being neurodivergent. The amount of times I've seen stories or art of the tremendous drawbacks having such neurodivergencies brings with it can be counted on one hand. It's always the "omg Sonic is so hyperactive he's totes ADHD he likes running and struggles to sit still!!" in a So Cute So Silly So Relatable way, never the "you cannot get anything done despite mentally SCREAMING at yourself to get up and do your tasks, you think everyone in your life can't stand you, you insert your foot in your mouth every time you speak, you can't finish a task to save your life" way. It truly makes me wonder how people who give every single character a Fun Quirky So Silly neurodivergency think, especially when they only focus on the endearing parts.

"If "neurotypicalness" is associated ... can have a personality too." It's exactly this! Why would I want to go around saying I'm straight if everyone immediately declares me a boring bigot because of that? Why would I tell anyone I'm not sure if I'm neurodivergent or neurotypical if the latter will immediately make me come off as someone with zero interests who is a dick to anyone even slightly off what is considered "the norm"? I wouldn't say people stating these things are directly harmful, especially because in real life people simply do not think and act like on Tumblr, but I do firmly believe that it is simply hurtful for people who fall in the 'bad' categories. (But then again, I am also firmly convinced that Tumblr has a general mindset of "They hurt us first so now we get to hurt them back, for justice!!!", completely ignoring they have no idea who the recipients are in their daily life and what they stand for, so...)

Also I was actually thinking the other day of the Sonic Chest Fur theory, and... Sample size of four people. Good job, y'all! I honestly think that claiming that you can give your Forces Avatar chest fur regardless of gender is a more solid claim about how chest fur is not male-exclusive than stating that Sonic is Totes Trans because he lacks it. And also, that argument has never stopped anyone from headcanoning Shadow and Silver as trans.... I'm curious what would happen if you brought up the Sonic Has No Chest Fur argument to state those two cannot be, were it not that I think it'd be equal to throwing a bomb straight into a hornet's nest.

I don't know what else to add, we're on the same page 😂

There is definitely a tendency to cutesify autism and ADHD here. I have neither, so I'd rather not insist too much and leave others to speak out, but even I know that both come with massive challenges. That's why they're called disorders! They don't have to be life-debilitating ofc, they're not curses, but I can imagine how some ND people might be irritated by others, especially fellow NDs, simply ignoring their struggles because they're not appealing. Ngl I'd find a realistic portrayal of Sonic with ADHD much more refreshing than the usual "hehe he's hyperactive he's just like me fr fr <3"

(at least, when I see people headcanon a character as for example having BPD, they do acknowledge the difficulties that come with the disorder)

And yes, I do realize that Tumblr is not real life. Apparently 90% of people here are both ND and LGBT+, the complete opposite of real life. I get it. I don't want to come off as "wanting to be oppressed so bad" or whatever, at this point I'm too old to care. But still, young people are being shaped on Tumblr and especially on its nastier little sibling Twitter, and I don't want teens to internalize that cishet NT people are boring shells of human beings at best and asshole bigots at worst.

Personally I'd sooner headcanon that Shadow and Silver are a different kind of hedgehog compared to Sonic - they both have fur and eye markings, plus a similar eye shape, it's interesting. I also have... opinions on how generally trans Sonic is portrayed, but eh, I think I'm being problematic enough :V

Not to sound like an america defender of any kind but sometimes non Americans can be so melodramatic about something that Americans do that they don't, like being friendly or smiling (whether too much or too little) and it's like. Just because y'all don't do it or don't understand it doesn't mean it's wrong, that's just cultural bias speaking. And just because you don't like America or you read about it or interact with/deal with Americans on social media a lot doesn't make you the slightest expert in American culture (the fact that people always neglect the differences in southern and northern terms of politeness if they even are aware of it is one example). Especially because I start to doubt that these people are aware of how friendly folks from their own countries can be when traveling overseas. There's Americans that go overseas and are friendly and loud but there's ppl from other countries who come here or go to other places and are also friendly and loud and exuberant. There's Americans who smile at strangers and some who don't it really depends on the sub culture they're from and even then, their own disposition.

Because again from a cultural standpoint this is just folks doing shit different, not something inherently wrong. And I've seen people from more physically affectionate and open cultures criticize Americans for being stiff and unfriendly and I've seen people from more conservative cultures and subdued ones saying Americans are too open and friendly, and both will be framed and reblogged as Total Fact and Unbiased Truth and not the nitpicky opinions of someone who's basically saying their cultural background and how they do things should be the standard.

Especially when you consider again this country is not homogenous and for me at least it's definitely varied enough that you can't go painting everything with the same brush. Why did i see a post once that was like "um well in my country you can literally kiss your Uber driver hello Americans are so stiff" or something like girl there's lots of countries where they don't do that 😭 like what be fr. I promise you it's not just Americans that are avoidant of close physical contact outside of close friends and family like plleeeeeaaaasseeee use your brains

And then the other side is like "why is this American expressing what's naturally polite for them in their culture" frankly if you think that's threatening that's on you like idk what you expect anyone to say or do about it realistically

Bruh I was in the grocery store with my mom when this issue came out, I just casually glancing at my phone real quick and I saw a notif for the post and I was like HELLO NEW ISSUE???? WHATTTTT??? I got a little too zoned in on it while trying to shop haha. Then had to proceed and act like everything was normal when I just read the most. Insane thing ever. I am SO excited for the direction this is headed in, I know you said that things were gonna get creepy but I honestly wasn’t expecting this level of unsettling. I love it.

You encapsulated that feeling of “I just saw something I really wish I didn’t” SO well, as someone who gets like that every once in a while (NOT to the extent of seeing whole skeletal remains, thankfully haha) the way you describe/show it with Pinepaw is soooo accurate. Not being able to get it off of your mind. Even if you desperately want to. Wanting to be able to go about your day but you just can’t. Wanting to interact with people but just not being able to focus on it. Just being stuck there… replaying it in your mind. Aw yeah I am LIVING for this, the way you capture small obscure feelings like that is always so good and realistic!! This is the second “this is me fr” moment I am having with pinepaw LOL I love this little dude!!!

I really hope he is able to find someone to confide in, it’s definitely not going to be healthy for him to keep this all in his system. But seeing how barrenclan is… I guess there isn’t a high probability of that, huh. Also an ADULT he could confide in,,, I don’t think any of the other kids should have to carry this burden either. If only rainhaze was still around.

I'm really glad you connected with Pinepaw sm!! Although sorry that it's in such a not fun way aha. I think that feeling is something everyone can relate to, at least to some degree.

Pinepaw has such a lack of good adult figures in his life. His mentor is certainly no help and his parents are either out of the picture or not responsive. And to add to that, he's empathetic and worried enough that he wouldn't want to burden anyone else with this knowledge. :(

If only Rainhaze was still around indeed.

This was a bland movie. Typically I try to steer clear of the synopsis for these films so I don't get influenced by anything else, but I skimmed this one and even with that it is so... vague. Nothing felt particularly cohesive throughout this film to me. It fits the more slice of life type of cut of just. Randomness. But it's also not random? The synopsis fit because this was such a long (feeling) movie fully of nothing.

Everyone hates Okin (?) for being a moneylender/loan shark type thing which like, rightfully so. She is insufferable in this movie too, but the other's don't seem much... better? Everyone is flawed which is realistic I suppose. It seems with Okin and Otomi (I think?) both seem to hate the fact they're aging as both of unsaid references to it. (Like the literal mirror scene with Otomi and her daughter. Youth vs aging. Then Okin's scene with the covered mirror where her fake smile falls). The sick one (Tamae?) has a rough relationship with her son because of the dad dying (And what's up with her making her son call her 'sister'?????? Can you say "emotional incest"). The other one is. I have no idea. Just there. Trying to have a kid I guess. You go girl.

While I don't like Okin by any means, I understand aspects of her character fairly well. They show her extremely securing her home at night to sleep, which I think tells a lot about her character. They make it a joke to say she hates men (and like.. everything under the sun apparently) but she was almost killed? Why does everyone gloss over that? The dude comes around too and everyone tells him to go see her!!!! What!!! The fuck!!! He tried to murder her?! And then they're implying that he deserves compensation for it because he went to jail and can't get a job now? I'm so confused. Like, y'all hate her, I get that, but did you hate her before or after the attempted murder. They're haters fr.

Also showing up to ask for money..... the audacity. Then her "great love" doing the same??? Diabolical. Whatever she did in her past life clearly came for her in this one because damn.

I truly don't see how this film is so highly regarded. Granted, I am extremely tired watching it and maybe I'm missing something? But this was a slogfest. None of these characters were interesting. It felt like just 4 days of catty old women being stingy and hateful. Like I said, I think part of Okin's is justifiable to an extent. She was almost killed. But damn.

The only credit I can give this movie is the very small and subtle nods to Okin's trauma. Also, deaf representation! Hate how they interacted with her though. I absolutely hated the sudden pivot to internal monologuing, too, because I feel like this movie did fairly decent with showing things without having to explicitly state it (the mirror, the dude's leg shaking before he got trashed to beg for money, etc). Definitely gonna read other posts and can't wait for the discussion in class because what.

This is gonna be very hard to decide but I'll try my best. Gonna stick this under a Read More 'cause this shit boutta be long as hell:

1) Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You

He's the main character of the story that changed my life. He was very relatable to me at the time I first consumed TWEWY over a decade ago, and even now I still have a lot in common with him. Neku is very important to me because taught me a lot and impacted me in a way that I feel like I'd be a completely different person had I never encountered TWEWY during those formative years.

2) Kakashi Hatake from Naruto

I don't have some profound reason for Kakashi like I did Neku. But I think he was the very first character I ever became obsessed with or cared about deeper than just liking them because I liked the media they were in. And realistically, what's not to like about him.

(From here onward the accuracy of the list may dwindle because of the sheer amount of media I've consumed. I'll probably forget someone or important or simply be unable to decide, so take who I choose with a pinch of salt, especially in order. I have many faves and I am only certain about Neku and Kakashi's places on this list).

3) Sophie Hatter from Howl's Moving Castle

Because HMC is my favorite Ghibli movie I may be biased, but I always looked up to Sophie due to her strength and capacity to love free of judgments and despite any ugliness, inside or out. She's pretty, kind, brave, and tough, all the things I wanted to grow up to be as a kid when I first saw HMC.

4) Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart

Shizuku is one of my favorites for a more specific and personal reason; because we're both writers. I see in her a lot of myself when I was younger and even now. Having the desire to write something you can be proud of and satisfied with, to the point of being hard on yourself and emotional when you fall short of your own expectations. She's a complicated ball of emotions, but she's got tenacity and a love for whimsy that she puts into her writing. I just find her relatable and lovable.

5) Haruki Nakayama from Given

I just feel a spiritual connection to Haruki. We're kindred spirits, in the way we act, think, view ourselves. How we experience love and the relationship we have to our craft. He really is just like me fr.

6) The Chocobros from FFXV

Nooow I know this is cheating by including all of them, pero like... Do not separate! No but realistically, I can't choose one of them over the other because I love them all for different reasons, but I'd also be remiss to not add any of them to this list. They all had such an impact on my life, brought me joy during a particularly dark time, and their friendship and bond is something I envy and seek to have for myself someday.

7) Kotetsu T. Kaburagi from Tiger & Bunny

Would y'all crucify me if I said he's my favorite superhero across all media? I mean it honestly. Kotetsu is the embodiment of what a hero should be, his attitude, morals, and passion for helping others. He's like the perfect protag to me. He gets bonus points for being a goofy dorky single dad who's tryng his best, and is also hot.

8) Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100

Do I even need to explain this one. Mob taught me so much about being kind and forgiving to not only others but yourself. Not many pieces of media have touched me in a way that MP100 has, and Mob fits into a lot of my favorite protag tropes. He's just a simple, sweet darling boy and he's so cherished and important to me.

9) Yona from Akatsuki no Yona

One of the female protagonists of all time. I love her for many of the same reasons I love Sophie, but she's just 10x more cool. As Spike Spiegel once said, I love a woman who can kick my ass.

10) My OC Seth Manolis

Now I realize this may be cheating but I couldn't decide on the last character, and I'd argue he technically counts according to your criteria, because he's the protag of two novels I wrote myself. I created Seth when I was 14, writing little "journal entries" about his life on Deviantart back in the day to cope with me starting high school, but over the years his story has evolved into something serious and now I'm writing a whole trilogy about him (on the third book now). He's very important to me because writing his story has got me through a lot in my life, and I put so many pieces of myself into him, although not exactly a self-insert. I can go on all day about Seth, but just know he's my special little blorbo who I don't know what I would've done without. (Art is commissioned from @/bumblevip on IG.)

- i love how cozy rain code's fandom is on this website. it's got village energy, where everyone kinda knows each other and even the folks you dont personally interact with are still kinda like neighbors. It's a pretty chill fandom community with a lot of real cool people, small as that "lot" may be

- as for tgaa, i dont think there's ever been a fandom with such a high concentration of fanart and fic that have legitimately changed my brain chemistry. like so many fanworks still live rent free in my head. so much so that this is the fandom that inspired me to start writing fic at all! genuinely, so many tgaa fans are an absolute marvel and it is always a pleasure to see what they create

2. Something you see in art a lot that you love

ok this is super specific but i absolutely adore when people make aspects of a character emote that realistically wouldn't, like for example when they draw kazuma's headband forming a heart shape in the air, or make yuma's silly little ahoge deflate when sad or sharpen when he's angry (i know the official art does this too- emoting ahoges are one of my fav things about rui's art) or even edgeworth's cravat puffing up like a frilled lizard when angry. i've seen that a few times before and love it. these little details are always a delight to me bc it's something you can only really do in art, yknow? it's wonderful

GLADLY!! there were so many people that came to mind that i had to pop a bunch of names in a random number generator to choose haha. the wheel chose @hopelilies, and boy do i love your art. genuinely it's a joy to see and i like seeing you in my art blog's notifs as well! your crossover art of yakou and keiji is so big brained because i can easily imagine them being friends. your makoto and yuma hugging art is still rent free in my head. and god i just love how you draw characters in general - really appealing thin lines and unique faces. i am eating it all up <333

And ahhh it was a medically induced coma, okay, I see. Still, it sucks :((. And there's the start (that we see) of her denial too. Poor lady :((. Poor all of them, honestly. Just, oof xdd.

Also, it sucks that he choked a bit (I don't know if I'd call it crashing and burning lol - also I find it funny how with "burning" they had a chance to have the fighters actually fight like. A fire xDD but I get that they're ent more with the crash theme lol - oh wait, back from putting the title at the end, I just remembered it's learn XDD Nevermind then, lol), but I'm sure whatever his face was, 9-1-1 dispatcher boy, will do great :)). He just has to get a little more experience first :D. I think he'll do great <3. Hopefully he's not evil lol.

Overall, I loved the episode. The calls were fun, though a bit sad at times Hen's storyline was amazing, as was Athena's side. Ayy, our besties have an episode :D. Kind of together, but also super far apart lol. Also, poor Buck, honestly. Man is struggling lol. But yeah, I really connected with Hen here so I just feel extra bad for her <3. Anyway, it was a great episode. This season's shaping up to be really good :).

So, that's about it! It was an amazing episode, and I am looking forward to the next one. This has been my review of. . .
