it is so funny to me that in aftg everyone always talks about how hot neil is. then in tsc when jean legit is like thirsting over practically everyone he refuses to see neil as anything other than the gremlin child that he is lol

I need to pull an Andrew and hold all those people leaving bad reviews on tsc at knifepoint cos what do you MEAN your problem was that it wasn't about Andreil/didn't have enough Andreil in it. If you were online enough to know that a new book was coming out, you were ALSO online enough to know that it was about Jean Moreau. Even if you didn't find out through Tumblr, every place you can buy the book from has a summary section where you can in fact READ what the book is about. Your poor reading comprehension or just mere laziness when it came to finding out what the book was about before starting to read is YOUR problem, not the writer's so don't you dare leave shitty ass reviews without any actual criticism behind them.

Niel Josten barging in Los Angeles, plucking Jean off from the Trojans, having a Thai dinner date while conspiring with his Mafia boss uncle against the Moreau family, gaslighting the fbi into believing him and Jean are best buddies and played dress up during his time in Evermore,being there for Jean upon hearing about his sister and then transporting him back while also having arranged a side quest to dispose off the piece of trash namely Grayson is so babygirl of him . I missed this orange cutie patootie so much. <333

I think one of the things I loved most about TSC was the sheer empathy and anger shown by Laila, Cat and Jeremy for Jean.

Even when he lashed out out of trauma, they were never angry at him, but rather for him because the bits of him that they have seen don't align with the person they see in his worst moments or when he's lost in PTSD flashbacks.

Cat being so angry for Jean, even when Jean doesn't understand why she would be because he thinks he deserves it, is just something so heartwarming and breaking all at once.

Jean's reaction to it is even more heartbreaking because he's so damn convinced that his entire existence is meant to be horrible and pain filled and that he isn't worth saving. That he just has to endure everything that has been done to him because its his place too.

It's just so beautiful to see how gently they treat Jean but also how hard they fight for him already.

we know abby has seen some really terrible injuries during her time with the foxes/aftermath of spending time with the ravens so she saw jean and was somewhat prepared, but i can imagine the nurses/doctors/trainers for the trojans being absolutely appalled, driven to drink levels of disturbed by seeing jean’s medical records/x-rays/scars. like i can just imagine the coaches and team staff getting together to compare notes on jean and realizing how far into the deep end they were thrown (they’re all cursing kevin day and wymack, and jeremy a little)

The fact that both Jeremy and jean find each other "easy on the eyes" is killing me-

Trojan Team ACCURACY!!! (Div 1 perspective bc I'm annoying hehe)

I don't want to hear anyone say it's unrealistic to have that many LGBTQIA people on a team because while not every team does, plenty do and the Trojan's are none as being good people so it makes sense they would have more

On that note, not all the Trojans are queer. It's Jeremy's friend group that is bc again this book is set in 2007 (i think?) so naturally they are going to be more separated from the rest of the team bc things were less inclusive back then and they can relate to each other more (even though none of Trojan's appear to be homophobic except Lucas sometimes)

(even nowadays gay friend groups on team are still a thing y'all, I found it very realistic)

Laila and Cat just dumping all the drama and sexual history of their friend group on Jean made me DIEEEE!!! It was too real, there's always those moments where ppl just word vomit on the newbies about all the past tea and they sit there like o.o

Oversharing on teams happens all the time, for better for for worse

THE COACHESSSS AHHHH!!! Rhemann's subtle support (he just wants to do right by Jean y'all), Lisinski's tough love reminds me so much of the assistant coach I had as an underclassman, Jimenez saying "you know better so be better" IS THE MOST COACH THING I'VE EVER HEARD AHAHAHAH

getting close really fast. It's been a couple months are Jean's already pretty tight with Jeremy, Laila and Cat. That's what happens when your around your team like 24/7.
