Not really smut (hoping to do a part 2 in the future) but mild references to nsfw stuff at the end!

Charlie's heart did several somersaults as he read the message from Nick. He typed and deleted several texts before settling with a simple and hopefully not too desperate "yes!!". He immediately texted his friends; his key smashing revealing how overjoyed he was.

Charlie, startled, looked up at his sister, who of course was sipping a glass of apple juice through her straw.

"Nick invited me over"

Charlie made the mistake of looking over at Nick. He smiled at the focused face he made, eyebrows all scrunched up with his tongue poking out with pure concentration in his eyes. He was only snapped out of his trance with the sound of aggressive button smashing.

"Oh come on. I basically had you! Man you're good at video games, all school subjects, especially math, and sports. Like I've seen you run-"

Charlie smiled bashfully as Nick went on and on about how great at everything he was. Finally he had enough and gave him a playful poke to his ribs with a "Shut up" for emphasis.

Nick flinched a bit, but that was far from enough to stop him complimenting Charlie. Charlie whined and finally clasped his hand over Nick's mouth, tackling him on the bed.

But Nick was a cheeky one. Although practically muffled, he still was listing off more stuff. He definitely was asking for it at this point. Straddling his waist, Charlie wasted no time scribbling up and down his ribs, causing the boy to finally shut up and bite his lips, trying so hard not to laugh.

"Aww Nick does this tickle? I see you trying to laugh, how long do you think you'll last?"

Shaking his head in defiance, Nick challenged him with a determined look in his eyes. He was putting up a good fight until Charlie's fingers inched closer and closer under his arms.

At this point, giggles started to sputter from his lips.

"Oh my gosh are you literally shaking right now?? You're so red Nick, are you breathing?"

Charlie and his stupid incessant teases.

Charlie was an evil lad, and Nick was adorably naïve. As Nick prematurely celebrated by shooting his hands in the air, Charlie jumped on the opportunity to bury his fingers under Nick's arms. Nick's eyes bugged out of his head, the ticklish shocks of Charlie's wiggling fingers sent his nerves into overdrive. Nick felt every scribble and scratch and it just tickled so bad. Would he want it to stop? Something inside him told him he liked this. This was... fun? Charlie seemed like he was enjoying it too, that adorable smile of his only growing larger as Nick's laughter echoed in his room.

The second Charlie's hand touched his tummy, Nick suddenly found the strength to turn the tables. Charlie wasn't prepared for Nick to suddenly pin his wrists down.

Sparks flew. Time stopped. The boys locked eyes with each other. Their faces awfully close. Charlie looked up so sweetly at Nick, his eyes examining him intently.

"It's snowing!" Charlie exclaimed looking past Nick at the window.

"Race ya"

They ran to the backyard with Nellie in tow. It was beautiful; the ground gently covered in a blanket of white crystals. It would have been nice to embrace the serenity of the scene but Nick had other plans. A snowball was hurled right into Charlie's back.

"I can't believe you've done this"

Yet another snowball was launched, landing right in the middle of Charlie's chest. Nick was really egging him on, and if it's a fight he wants, a fight is exactly what he'll get. Several clumps of snow were thrown back and forth as the two giggled when Nellie tried to catch them. Eventually they got tired and decided to make snow angels instead.

Nick reached over to tickle him, something urging him to disrupt the peace until his revenge was carried out.

He didn't mean to. He really didn't mean to but Charlie grimaced and violently flinched away. This deeply concerned Nick who was apologizing profusely. It wasn't his fault. It was just… Well a story for another time.

After reassuring the saddened Nick that he was in fact, okay, he suggested that they watch a movie together.

Charlie's House

Well that was the plan… But Charlie fell asleep halfway through. Nick was oblivious to this until the credits rolled and he looked to see his… friend fast asleep. He couldn't stop looking at him. His face looked so peaceful. Charlie Spring, the quiet lad from homeform who has become such a staple in Nick's life. He honestly didn't know what the warm feelings that bubbled in his core meant, perhaps it was the fizzy pop he drank earlier. Nick looked at his lips, his heart fluttering a bit as he thought about- no. His eyes traveled down to Charlie's hand. The same hand that has been so gentle to him. The same one that uh tickled him. The hand that made him smile. He wanted to hold it, he had to. His hand hovered over the sleeping boy's, his own heartbeat pounding in his ears. He was so close but he couldn't.

Seriously Nick, why the hell would you say that?

Tori watched this all unfold, withholding herself from telling the boys to stop beating around the bush and just be.

"See you Monday," he said hurriedly.

Charlie nodded, watching the other almost scramble out the door, still stunned by the sudden hug.

"I don't think he's straight" Tori chimed from behind Charlie, finally making her presence known.

Nick's House

The rugby lad sat on his bedroom floor distraught to see that an online quiz told him he was 69% gay. A tear fell from his face as a freshly bared branch tapped against his window.

Been thinking about modern, Boom, and Casino AU Eggman being three dads raising Chao together and I really want to start to share some of my ideas so far right here 🥰

Casino AU Eggman's Chao garden designs are still a work in progress that I hope to describe in much more detail in a future post but basically, because of the sign indicating it in Unleashed during Skyscraper Scamper, there's a public Chao Garden in Empire City and it's where Casino Egg got his first Chao a few decades ago. Since then, he's made his own private gardens with the main two being at Empire City and the world's Vegas equivalent but he still occasionally visits the public ones to show off his Chao to others and lets them make friends, also because of his nostalgia for the public Empire City one. He's got other less significant areas of work around the world and travels for Chao races, so they also commonly get taken to many other public gardens and he may also have a couple of private ones in other places too. But those two are his main and biggest ones as the places he goes to most often.

Casino Egg is especially excited to show Boom Egg his Chao as no such creature exists in his world and he knows he has the shared interest of liking cute things. He keeps it a secret and only tells him he has a surprise. Boom Egg walks into his big beautiful private garden in Empire City to find a big shiny pink egg and wonders if it's a joke but Casino Egg tells him there's something very cute and fun inside and urges him to help it hatch because it's ready but needs a little nudge. He guides him to encourage it by rocking it gently while Modern watches and blurts out "You can just throw them at the wall to crack it open and they'll be fine." and Boom is like "WHAT why would I do that‽‽" and Casino Egg sighs "I told you not to bring that up. >:\" he knows modern prefers it as it's quicker and he knows it's safe but both Casino Egg and Boom wouldn't dare take such an approach lol

It hatches as a pink and white Chao that can become shiny as it evolves and they've always been Casino Egg's favorite type, as rare and expensive they are to obtain, especially for them to hatch that way instead of purely through evolving. Before Boom Egg even has any idea what it's supposed to be, it's love at first sight. How small it is, its cute round shape, stubby arms and legs, squishy marshmallow-like feeling to it, and the pretty color. He's so shocked and fascinated by this strange cute little thing that's unlike anything he's ever seen. He's even more delighted when Casino Egg whistles and all his other Chao that are also all pink, purple, and white come running in to surround him! Casino Egg tells him all their names: Strawberry, Donut, Gumdrop, Cane, Sugarplum, Amethyst, Cutie Pie, Jewel, Jelly Bean, Soda Pop, Cupcake, Kirby, and Candy Floss.

Casino Egg lets the other Chao greet their new brother and they huddle around him and cheer in their cute little voices. Casino Egg tells Boom that they should name this new extra special addition to the family Sugar Cube because it's his favorite special exclusive pet name to use for Boom Egg as his sugar and this is their new baby, so it's like he's a part of him! And when Casino Egg pulls closer in for a cuddle, lets him hold their new Chao, and gives him such a cute and silly but thoughtful and sentimental name, Boom Egg doesn't expect to suddenly feel emotional and for a moment he has to try his hardest not to cry. He's really glad his glasses hide the tears that are pricking at his eyes sjsfnsgsmgh He immediately very enthusiastically accepts the offer to join modern and Casino Egg in raising this new Chao and also joining in with caring for all the others too!

He's pleasantly surprised to find out how Casino Egg treats his Chao, he can tell right away that he cares deeply for them by the smile on his face when he lovingly strokes Sugar Cube's chin and pets him for the first time, making the heart appear above him. He immediately charms his way into this little Chao's heart just like he does with people! He offers Boom to have a go at it and he's a bit nervous about how he will react because he doesn't think he can have that same effect on anything but a heart immediately appears above Sugar Cube's head and he giggles cutely in reaction to being petted by him too and even nuzzles against his hand for more, making his heart burst with joy. Casino Egg notices he looks surprised and relieved so he says "Of course the little guy loves ya as much as I do, how could he not?" and Boom Egg is even more touched by it then!

He loves seeing more of Casino Egg's sweet side that he admires. How he spends the whole time with Chao in his hands and arms, climbing all him and trying to play with him. He pets them and snuggles them and Boom Egg can see his love and adoration for them in his eyes. Multiple Chao latch onto the legs of his pants and try to drag him off to do activities with them to no avail as he's way too big and heavy no matter how many of the little guys try to team up, but Casino Egg plays along and follows them while pretending to be shocked, laughing and saying they must be getting really strong like their daddies to be able to pull him. He's clearly used to it, so it tells Boom it must be a common thing and he's told to join so they can start to bond. Casino Egg also likes to watch them draw, play instruments, fly around, and swim in the pool and openly cheers and praises them a ton and Boom easily finds himself joining in with him and modern and has a blast.

The Chao like to sit inside the open part of Casino Egg's shirt that he leaves unbuttoned because his chest is warm and soft and hairy, it's very cozy for them. When a Chao snuggles up there, he turns to modern and Boom Egg and teases "Bet you wish you were this Chao right now" because he knows they love to be between his titties too. XD He likes how they make him desirable to other men but also how it can be a comfort thing for his Chao because it feels cozy and safe, so he lets them sit there and will walk around with them like that. It's also convenient for carrying them along with other ways they may climb him when his hands are occupied, though he does also have a type of wearable baby carrier type thing for them that he lets modern and Boom use too.

They wonder how his Chao don't appear too overfed considering his tendency to spoil people with money and anything else they want, plus he's the heaviest of the three because he loves to eat and spends a lot of money on food, so they're a bit surprised that it doesn't extend to his Chao. But it's because he doesn't have time to care for them by himself often as he's very busy and has to hire people to look after them for him most days. He does spoil them a bit too much with food when around them but the reason he doesn't accidentally overfeed them too much then is that he has so many Chao that he makes sure they all get some equally, plus he also likes to eat the Chao fruit like I headcanon modern too, especially because he likes fruit even more than him, so he eats more of the extra than he gives to them!

He likes to sit and eat with them, he doesn't do the best at teaching them to share as he certainly doesn't know how to do anything like that himself lol. But he is good at breaking up the fights they have over the fruit, he can easily finish it by putting a large bear paw of his between them and telling them to behave. Boom Eggman sees this is a problem for them though, so he tries to help them learn. The Chao look so cute and curious as they listen with their heads tilted to one side as he shows them how to be fair and share. They soon calm down and are sensible with each other as they finally succeed in sharing, Casino Egg is very thankful because he and modern were the last two that could've taught them and Boom is proud of himself for teaching them something so important that will forever be useful to them. He tells Casino Egg and modern to be careful not to influence them to steal from each other again. XD

Casino Egg is a very proud owner of his Chao for being so talented and smart because of the high-quality training and care he hires for them to happen at the pastel pink Kindergarten he had made for them. He has a huge play area made for them with a little slide and things for them to climb safely and tons of toys for them to play with, so they can have fun and be creative which helps even more with their development and it's how they're so highly evolved. He's clearly put tons of money into every aspect, showing how serious and passionate he is about what's best for his Chao. He's delighted to have another thing to put his money into and how it gets them everything they could ever want and need, making up for how he doesn't get to see them very often.

The difference between Casino Egg and modern is that he displays affection very differently. They're both cute with their handling of the Chao but Casino Egg is more the type to fuss and coo over the Chao and express affection very vocally, which isn't modern's style. But modern's quiet more reserved way of doing it and how he shows it through subtle but cute gestures instead, like this for example, is still just as cute and admirable to both Boom and Casino Egg. He makes a good third owner as the second most experienced with Chao, as he has his own separate ones in his own world that Casino Egg has helped him out with raising too.

At some point, the three Eggs get in the pool to hang out and swim with the Chao! They also want to teach Sugar Cube after getting him prepared. He looks a bit nervous at first and Boom knows what it's like to once be scared and unable, unlike modern and Casino Egg that has always known and enjoyed swimming, so he understands and helps him especially with that. He holds him so he feels safe while he watches modern and the other Chao give an example and he's very patient with him as he learns how to paddle, only letting go when he's sure he's got it and praising and encouraging every little bit he manages to do on his own. It keeps the little Chao motivated and puts a smile on his face that makes Boom Egg feel such joy.

Modern is the one that then teaches all of the Chao some of his skilled Olympics level swimming. Casino Egg can only do the basics, so he likes to just hang and mess around, play with the Chao in the water, and give them basic guidance if needed. He also unsurprisingly gets cheeky and comes up behind modern and Boom Egg to grab and squeeze their butts because you can't expect him to keep his hands to himself when he's with his two favorite boys shirtless and in shorts. They playfully slap his hands away and tell him to stop being a perv and remember this is about the Chao and he does but he can't help but get a liiittle distracted by them as usual lol

The Chao also like to do karate, which modern also teaches them as he's also the most knowledgeable of the three as he's done it in the Olympics. They also of course do a lot of racing and Boom Egg joins them in ruining to try to set a good example and help them improve even more and modern Egg tries for as long as he can too because he's also raced in the Olympics but he can only do it for so long with his weight and osteoarthritis. Casino Egg appreciates the help from both of them because it's one of the only things he can't teach them by himself at all, he always has to rely on the trainers he hires to teach them the best they can on their own. The money is well spent as they do a great job but it's even more special for them to improve more from two of their dads.

Casino Egg loves to watch modern and Boom Egg interact, teach, and bond with his Chao like this, he feels it brings them together even closer than before. He's had many boyfriends and is constantly involved with more but he's never shared moments like this with any of them because these two really are very special to him just like his Chao are. It shows them that they're worthy, very important to him, and fully trusted by him, as he wants them to be a part of his Chao's life as much as they can just like he tries to, despite how busy he always is and how modern and Boom Egg have to go back to their own worlds. But the Chao having three owners that give them lots of love all at once really makes up for any absence.

Casino Egg praises and thanks modern and Boom Egg tons for doing so well with them and says that he's feeling even more confident in his Chao taking part in more of the future special championship races, karate matches, and swimming events around the world where they can win huge medals and trophies and loads of money. He says that they should totally join him and his Chao at one of the many huge events around the world with him in the future!

After all that, the three are worn out so they sit and cuddle up and the Chao immediately flock to them as they don't want to part with them. Boom Egg can totally understand why the Chao love to hug modern and Casino Egg as they're so huge, soft, warm, and cuddly to them like they are to him but to an even bigger extreme. Boom thinks they won't like to cuddle with him because he doesn't have a big soft pillow-like tummy like them but plenty cling to him too, even Sugar Cube and he feels so loved. He loves how quickly they all accept him despite having two daddies already. Whether it's partially due to being used to it as they already know two or not, they can also sense a softness that modern or even Casino Egg doesn't have, as we see in the Boom show. Since Casino Egg and modern also interact with Sugar Cube he becomes a dark type but had it just been Boom alone, I feel he would've been a neutral.

Modern looks to see Boom with Chao hugging him and Sugar Cube in his arms, smirks at the cuteness, and whispers "Don't tell the other Ivo but I think you're Sugar Cube's favorite." and that makes Boom even happier.

They relax while the Chao cuddle, climb, and mess with them which they allow as long as they don't start pulling the mustaches but they do have to shake off a couple of the rascals at times. They like to play with modern and Casino Egg's hands and fingers as they're fascinated by their amazing size but they also nudge at Boom's smaller hands because they like to be petted by him. They're also mesmerized by Casino Egg's pretty and shiny jewelry and he lets them admire it, as long as they don't try to steal his expensive rings and watch or pull on his gold chain. They do try when they're feeling cheeky but for the most part, they just look at them and it's another good way to keep them occupied while he gets a chance to rest after all the activities.

The three Eggs eventually can't help but fall asleep in the cuddle pile of them and all their Chao so they take a nap. They later wake up to their sleeves being tugged by the Chao because they want to show them something. They're led to a big piece of paper that has a cute scribbly drawing of what they can still tell is supposed to be the three of them holding hands and every single Chao took turns to draw themselves alongside them! The three each react differently, modern chuckles and says it's cute while he gives them a thumbs up, Casino Egg totally gushes and tells them he's going to get it golden framed, and Boom leans down to scoop up armfuls of the Chao to hug as he tries not to cry and can't stop smiling. He feels so special and welcomed and like he really is the new third dad of the big family. 💕

Then Casino Egg finally says "I love our kids, the three of us are going to be the best dads together" a few happy tears accidentally escape Boom Egg at last at the thought of them being like a family. When they're about to leave, he jumps into Casino Egg's arms to squeeze him in a big hug and kisses him. He blushes hard as it takes him by surprise from how unexpected it was but he soon smiles wide because Boom really didn't expect him to be such a great father figure to anything and finds it really sweet and attractive. He's also delighted by the honor of raising what are pretty much now their kids. Modern teases "Hey what about me?" and joins in so they all hug and kiss!

Boom Egg is so happy when Casino Egg announces that it's completely decided that they're going to raise him together along with modern Egg because the three of them together are the best dads these Chao could ever have, proven by all that they did together that day. Boom feels so deeply honored to get to be a part of something so special, they feel like a family and he thought he'd never know what that felt like but it means the world to him that his dreams could come true. If someone would have told you 4 years ago that you’d be marrying a man that you met through online gaming, you’d laugh in their face. Yet, here you are, sitting next to your now husband, surrounded only by your closest family and friends, in an old castle in Italy. Kuroo and Hinata laughed over how you proposed to Kenma first, much to his annoyance, but after seeing what he planned out to propose, you wished you would have waited. Although you had the recording from the stream that night set as a live lock screen for your phone, his shocked face being one of your favorite things to look at.

He was in the middle of streaming when you had sent one of the two cats you had both adopted when you first moved to tokyo to live with him, into the room with a note attached to her collar. She hopped right onto his desk and rolled over onto her back waiting for him to pert her. Once the round he was on ended, he noticed the note and read it. Face turned bright red as his eyes widened having read what you said. He looked towards his camera and stated in a flustered state, “Hey, uh…I’ll be right back guys…I think I’m getting married.” before pausing the stream and running into the living room where you were. He was upset that you beat him to it, but made you promise to let him propose to you at a later date since he was already in the process of planning it out.

A month later, he had booked a trip to America, to your hometown. He had planned an entire visit with your family, and while you were helping in the kitchen with your mother, Kenma set aside any anxieties he had and asked your father for his blessing. It was something so small, but meant so much to you that he cared about your parents' approval. The last day of your trip, Kenma had taken you to the park where you had your first in person date. A few months after you two had begun dating, he begged to be able to see you in person, which led to him planning a surprise visit with the help of your parents. Basically, he made this proposal a full circle to your first real date together. He had a small area set up for a picnic so you both could stargaze before heading back home the next morning. When you both were ready to head back to your parents house, he popped the question, and even though you had already asked him a month earlier, it still brought tears to your eyes.

The two of you decided against the stereotypical “white wedding'', in fact, it was more of an elopement than anything else. Having shared your vows privately the evening before, and instead of exchanging rings, have gotten matching “‘til death” tattoos on your ring fingers. You also refused a white dress, feeling as though that would make things too “formal”, and if there was one thing about yours and Kenma’s relationship, it was anything but formal. Your dress was a gorgeous nude tulle gown, decorated with black, lace butterflies and jeweled embroidery. It was exactly what you pictured when thinking of running down long castle hallways. Kenma adorned a rich, red, three piece suit. The two of you looking like you stepped out of a goth romantic fantasy novel.

A smile had never left your face since the start of your morning, and even though Kenma tried his best not to look as lovestruck, he too wore a small smile throughout the evening. As you looked around the table, you couldn’t help but think that the two of you really outdid yourselves. Having always been the chill and Lowkey couple, even with only your closest loved ones being invited to celebrate this day with you, everything was still so elaborate and fantasy-like. And you knew as soon as you post the photos you get back from the photographer, that Kenma’s fans are going to go crazy.

Kuroo made a joke about “How did Kenma, who never leaves his house, find someone before me.” Kenma quipped back that it was because all of Kuroo’s pickup lines were trash, which resulted in a mock hurt reaction from said man and the table erupting into laughter. Kenma made a smug face toward his best friend while taking a bite of cake. Conversations were being shared around the whole table. Stories of you and Kenma as children being shared by your parents, stories of your highschool years being shared by your and his best friends.

The whole night was spent sharing loving memories of both of your childhood, back to when you first got together and the shared memories you have now as a couple, to now, the most important people in both yours and Kenma’s lives celebrating the beginning of new memories to be made as a married couple. It made you grateful for the decision of keeping things small and intimate, because you're sure if you had a big wedding, things would not have been so meaningful to the two of you.

Leaning your head on your, now husbands, shoulder, you try your best to burn this whole moment into your brain. Wanting to remember every detail of one of the best days of your life. Kenma reached for your hand under the table, giving it a squeeze to grab your attention.

“You okay?” he questioned.

Nodding your head, you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. “Just trying to take in the moment.” Kenma hummed as a response. Deciding to tease him a bit, you questioned him. “You still like me, right?”

Rolling his eyes, already being used to your antics, he grabbed your face, squishing your cheeks as he answered. “Yes I still like you. I Love you. Married you, even.” He finished with a kiss as your photographer snapped the photo that would turn out to be your favorite from the whole wedding.

prompt: your best friend John Doe hacked you into a universe where hell is much different in your mind

“OOF-” you said as you press the buttons on your ps5. A portal opens as blocky person with yellow skin exits out of the portal looking at you. “JD!” You said with a “:P” face. “noob…you get to get out the house more…” John Doe said with a static voice as he picked up your bloxy body and thrown you into a portal as you kept smiling

“:) yay I’m falling.” You said out loud as you felt yourself fall in the air. You fell but landed on your feet like always. You look around to see that it smell like must, ass, and most importantly fire. You walked around just smiling as demons and sinners looked as if you were some weirdo…..

You came across the hotel and applied for a job to be the schedule manager. You got a red outfit to match vaggie and Charlie as you grab a flat board and started to write who gets to do what.

It was a nice day as Angel was throwing knives to increase his skills. You walked by him curiously grabbing two knives and throwing them at the same time. Making it hit the bullseye as Angel looked at you shock.

I headcannon that you once accidentally summoned John Doe because you sneezed and he literally stood there as you hugged him. The rest of the crew was confused thinking he was your brother.

12. What animal would your OC have as their His Dark Materials daemon?

I do not know much about the scifi series with deity assigned fursona souls. So...

Frenchfry- Human? Something intelligent, large, social, and with good stamina.

Dakari- In universe? A draft breed wyvern or furnace breed cattle. Something big and sturdy with a steady and calm temperament. But also something that would absolutely fuck your shit if you do manage to piss it off.

Out of universe? I'm picturing something like a Harris hawk. Something social and intelligent and associated with wide open spaces. But also can fly.

Zan von Drake- Hmmm... something like a bittern or a vampire finch? Something not very large that can decently camouflage or hide. Something flighted to reflect how often he finds himself uprooted and on the move. Something predatory or parasitic.

29. Gun to their head, what is your OC’s fursona?

Frenchfry- Thinks the idea of a fursona is a silly human thing. But would have some kind of swan for a fursona. The whole big, powerful, majestic thing plus swimming is neat and not something pigeons really get to do.

Dakari- In universe? A bull firedrake or tarasque. Something big and powerful with a great defense that most animals think twice about messing with. Gentle giant vibes.

Out of universe? A bull bison for the same reason.

Zan von Drake- vampire bat. It drinks blood and is quite cute.

21. What kind of classic horror monster (vampire, werewolf, alien, etc.) would your OC be?

Frenchfry- Alien. Especially the strange unknowable super advanced types of aliens.

Dakari- Would be a monster hunter from a long line of monster hunters that turned away from the family calling b/c he's a horse girl and wants to raise horses. Otherwise a giant monster on the whole being big as shit for his entire life and living frequently surrounded by smaller people.

Zan von Drake- He's submitted to his fate of being a vampire but he sees the appeal of the Creature from the Black Lagoon types and Frankensteins.

Was your OC influenced or inspired by any particular fictional character(s) when you made them?

Frenchfry- On a mix of City Face from Gunnerkrigg Court and the general idea of cute mascots for magical girl teams.

Dakari- Not to my knowledge. But is made in the same mold of the gigantic hot dude archetype that I usually put in my works.

Zan von Drake- Yes. He was inspired by a mix of Hotstreak from Static Shock, Rocco one of the half-vampire antagonists from the Vampire Kisses: Blood Relatives books, and the werebat boyfriend from the My Boyfriend is a Monster comic books.

17. Who would your OC main in Super Smash Bros?

I know nothing about Super Smash Bros. I have not played this game. I have been at social gatherings where it was being played by people but I know jack shit about it.

Frenchfry- would try using every nonhuman character at least once. Would like Yoshi best.

Dakari- Bowser. Kirby.

Zan von Drake- Pokemon Trainer. Mewtwo. Ness.

A Piece of Your World

Here's an idia request to break up the Octovinelle for a bit. Sorry if this is bad I'm kinda bad with writing him! I added Ortho cause he's cute.

Your precious boy Idia was a simple man. He could probably be summed up with one of those cringy gamer shirts you had in your dimension. Wake up, eat, game, repeat.

Yet despite what one may assume, if you got to know the hikikomori you would learn just how bright he was. Androids, algorithms, coding, augmented reality, and creation came easily to the young master.

Entire virtual worlds came to life under his fingers with the tapping of keyboards. His muse would often be the shows he watches and the games he cherishes dearly. However, most shows have new felt dull, and games that once were fun were stuffing filler event after fill event, making burnout set in

Usually, he would code a mod or make a small game to pass the time but what? He has no muse and was uninspired, he complained to you about such. That's when an idea struck you.

You were not from this dimension at all. When you first arrived, you were so shocked by all the major differences, you didn't even realize how the small things messed with you so much. Music sounded slightly different, almost uncanny, tropes in shows were used differently, your version of sweet you were used was defined differently, and food all felt completely different in every aspect. With this in mind, how about you show him some anime and games from your world?

It would also be a good idea to choose some with Ortho in mind, as the child would no doubt be curious about your world as well. Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Genshin, Kirby, Pokémon, Subnautica, along with many others were chosen to bring along. Studio Ghibli movies, Sailor Moon, Avatar, Girls in Panzer, School Babysitters, along with some more action-based shows were picked out.

You knew that your boyfriend would get overly flustered and try to deny your love if you said that you had planned this all for him, so it's time to execute your plan. A simple text should do.

"Hey Idia, I ended up finding my old phone and a few games in the bag I was summoned with! Wanna see some stuff from my world? Maybe they'll get you out of that block."

As you imagined, he responded quickly and enthusiastically, albeit flustered.

The Ignihyde dorm welcomes you with its various tech, unlike all the other dorms. A refreshing feeling from how behind the times the college is. You made your way up to Idia's room, where you were greeted by Ortho.

The young bot was filled with energy and wouldn't stop rambling on about how excited he was to see how stuff from your world was as he led you into Idia's room.

"Idia! Prefects here! Come on, come on! I wanna see what stuff is like from another dimension!"

It took a bit to get the kid's energy levels down as he settled between you and his older brother on one of the plush and oversized bean bags. Idia prepared some snacks beforehand to stuff your faces with as you all begin on your binge to watch shows.

Perhaps you shouldn't have shown either of them Avatar or Sailor Moon because now they're debating what element they would have, and now also designing g new magical girl outfits. Both boys looked so giddy and excited to see a piece of your world as you were able to ramble about your home. You never realized how homesick you were until you talked about it, it was comforting to have someone listen to you for once. Cough cough Ace and Deuce-

Ending on Ponyo, you pitch to show them some games from where you were from.

"Let's start with Minecraft, it's simple and we can all play together- oh we can even mod it if you want."

Watching two geniuses play Minecraft was entertaining, to say the least. Ortho was your guy's explorer and miner that loved to collect everything, often disappearing for days and coming back with all kinds of treasure. He probably even beat the dragon to try and get shulker boxes for more loot.

Idia on the other hand was the builder and redstoner. It was a bit comical how you came out of the mine's to deliver your boyfriend more Redstone for his creation only to see several automatic farms and sorting machines alongside a giant mansion.

There were so many wholesome moments. Ortho collecting lots of pet bees and collecting every animal he saw, Idia blushing and putting his Minecraft bed next to yours, just for Ortho to put his in-between (the kid didn't know it was a couple thing and wanted to be included in it, claiming it's a family bed where you all were together) and even Idia making custom fireworks and statues of all three of you together.

The gaming session went deep into the night, the loneliness and homesickness from before washed away. As for the Shrouds, they were given so much inspiration and a lasting memory of family.

ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffavorite character imma ramble Everyone jokes that the Kirby characters are literally circles but some of these characters are deceptively hard to draw; MK might just be Kirby in armor, but armor no matter how spherical will always be one hell of a learning curve. I do make it worse for myself though. MK and Kirby are canonically the same size, but MK is 100% the type to be self-conscious about his height so I give him subtle heels. In general my art style is very sharp, and it was hard translating that into Kirby because all the characters are very soft and cute. I think my solution is the have the basic shapes that form the character be round, but when cleaned up are given sharp edges. For MK this really works because part of why he's so beloved is that stark contrast between his cute and cool aspects. I've been meaning to play with a more expressive mask for awhile and I hesitated because I think that for the most part MK is not an expressive guy. And I don't mean that you just can't see his facial expressions behind the mask, I mean I think he's just a pretty stoic guy. Well, MK can lose his cool really easily, but point is he just isn't the type to have his eyeballs pop out of his sockets when shocked. The accidentally-Sonic-esque eyes I gave him I think work though; they aren't too in your face and gives him just the right amount of attitude. Ramble over MK is neat

Name: Floaty the Cell Core

Debut: Kirby Star Allies

Hiii! I come here on this Funky Friday bearing a very splashy dude, Floaty the Cell Core! From that name alone you can expect great things, it’s such an endearing name, this is not any Cell Core, this is Floaty, everyone loves Floaty!

They are a blob with conjoined eyes for most of its face, and they’re floating in a water bubble! which itself also floats around, I guess this is a “Cell”, Floaty being its core.

So from this name we can assume Floaty is just one from multiple Cell Cores right? Well in-game they are the only one, bur fortunately, HAL Labs released a TON of concept art for this guy! And most of the beta designs are SO drastically different, but they all are creatures inside a bubble of water, so I like to think those are the other non-Floaty Cell Cores! This post will be about this lovely family!

Starting with this guy! A funny octopus with two tiny tentacles, they look crossed, I assume this means they’re constantly moving to keep them afloat, swimming at all times, must get tiresome! They also have a big siphon that looks like a cannon, a classic Funny Octopus Enemy trope! this design is also very reminiscent of Gushen from Super Mario Odyssey! Being another Funny Octopus Enemy inside a water bubble.

This little cutie has a sleepy face, which seems to peek out of the water bubble a bit! and two funny ears

This guy IS the Cell water bubble, they’re shaped like a propeller and have a silly mouth, their Core seems non-sentient, and like some sort of amoeba!

This cutie is one of my faves!! They look so excited to be here! two tiny arms and a tip on the bottom! As for the Cell, the funny ears are back, and it’s shaped like a pacman ghost!

Also there are a lot of these guys, big family of Cell Cores! So the rest will be inside a Read More ==:) Hopefully You’re already convinced they are all so lovely you’ll want to meet them all!

This one has got to be one of the most beloved ones, it’s a little green Blipper that’s controlling the Cell through some funny levers! He looks like he’s doing his best in there, he must’ve trained hard to learn how to control this

This one is very interesting, the Cell is a fishie! and the core is a surprisingly realistic heart! it also kinda looks like a butt hehehe

This guy means BUSINESS, they’re clearly a veteran Cell Pilot, they’ve been doing this for years and they’re very confident, also the Cell looks like a Mamanti which is awesome!

The Cell in this one is another propeller, but it’s the Core that’s an absolute revolution! There’s a silly little bean guy inside! Just smiling! Happy in the knowledge they are floating inside a funny bubble, Kirby is shocked by the incredible energy of their presence.

The Propeller Cell is EVIL now, and the Core is a mischievous spiky little guy to match!

A Blipper inside a Cell shaped like one! and it has some sort of breathing apparatus!

And a matching set for Bronto Burt! This one’s specially funny because Bronto Burts have bug wings, what are you doing underwater! They gave them goggles though and they seem rather content!

This was the first concept art sheet, the next one has a LOT more and with more developed art, which means there really was so much love and effort put into the Cell Core enemy, and I’m glad.

This innocent little guy is peeking from within the Cell, which has little bumps around, I also love the funny dangly bit they have on top of the head, really important feature

Another one of my favorites! Sweet little tadpole friend, they have a cute snout, and a bobbly! Everyone loves bobblys! The bobbly seems to be enveloped in a different kind of water, which is interesting

The Cell shapes are really getting interesting! they got wavy patterns too! and the Core guy here reminds me of Victini, a very compressed Victini

UFO Alert!! UFO Alert! Everyone loves UFO enemies, and one made out of water?! With a little shark-looking guy inside? Delightful!!!

These guys decided the Cell was too big for just one little guy, so they share one! One of them is happy and green, while the other is red and sad, but I’m sure they love each other regardless of their different emotions, look! They’re holding hands!

The Cells kinda became shapeless blobs, but that is ok because the guys inside are still so so delightful! Look!!! This is one of my big big favorites, little dish-shaped fishy with cool-looking long fins! And their colors! So pleasant!

WOW what a cute little guy inside! little ‘w’ face, nubby little arms, and their head has the shape of a fat chocolate chip! They also seem to have some floating limbs in little compartments of the Cell, another one of my fave ones! Such a delight!

This one is very much a Metroid! But shhhh they’re sleepin! They don’t mean any harm they just want to nap inside their Cell

A Puffer Fish! Very reminiscent of Fatty Puffer Jr. from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, They’re back and they found a cool H2O-shaped Cell to live in!

Another Pufferfish! but this one has 4 stubby little legs which are very adorable! And their Cell is covered in spikes! I doubt spike-shaped water would do anything but it’s the aesthetic that’s important for them

This one is so silly! Look at that jolly smile! This is a fish that would make silly jokes and laugh with a charming chuckle

What’s wrong little guy? Is your mushroom-shaped Cell too tight for your mushroom-shaped body? I’m sure you can get more water in there for a bigger space, I love you, everything’s gonna be ok.

Oh it’s you again! But what’s this! your funny stubby legs got removed! This is so tragic!

ooghooghoghough THIS ONE! Such a good one! They’re a Mola mola! With very charming eyes and expression, their Cell has a hole in it shaped like a pair of goggles for them to see better! So cool!

Look It’s dish-shaped fishie from before! But they’re angry this time! Oh no! Is it because their fins became shorter? Or perhaps they don’t like their new pink stripes, I think they look wonderful on you!

The Core is identical to the Metroid one! But the Cell has the shape of a Clione! a Sea Angel! The color of their core and their horns really make for a good fit!

Oh god Realistic Eye hello there! This guy’s Cell is a blob with cute little ears, they reinvented the basic Slime enemy!

Oooh look at this! Getting closer to the Floaty we got in the final game! Their face is the only thing that’s drastically different

And there’s what we were missing! It’s the same face from the official Floaty! It seems they fused these last two guys to end up with our beloved Floaty!

And finally, to wrap things up, the final member of the Cell Core family, Butt Frog! They’re an angry green dude with 4 stubby limbs, and REALLY big buttcheeks, they’re almost their whole body! The artist really wanted to emphasize this with a very illustrating rear-end view, lovingly shaded to look shiny. Absolutely incredible

And that’s it! Really big family huh! I really wish we had gotten all of them in the final game, maybe randomly picked every time they spawn, they’re all so full of personality and charm! I’m very happy we got to meet them all! Thank you for coming with me in this splashy journey of Cells and Cores! Hope you found some you can dearly cherish!

So, in honor of LU's 4th anniversary, I will be sharing the results of my introducing the Boys to my younger sister! I basically showed her a bunch of pictures and she made assumptions while I laughed my ass off and tried to type while keeping up with what she was saying.

Here are the results of that!

Let's get into it, shall we?

(For clarity, my comments are in italics and hers will be in quotation marks)

"His name is Thor

"Knight in shining armor, stern, leader but not totally controlling, honor obsessed."

(She got more detailed about them all later on, but yeah, she was short with the first few, but a bit on the nose XD)

"Weird insomniac guy

"Strikes me as distrusting, wily, protective of family, lone wolf "

(I died)

"Boromir

"Strikes me as being proud, vain, sassy, a bit of a narcissist, tries to look good but often breaks the rules, look out for Number #1"

You're not that far off, I mean, he's not a narcissist, he learned not to be after the villain um...lusted after him and hilled hundred of people because she wanted him to be hers.

"Shaggy

"Ugly, he ugly. Obviously he's got a super sword so he must have done something cool to get that but he doesn't deserve it, like, he's not cool after all. He looks like he's supposed to be really cool but is actually boring. Not very relatable, too perfect."

(She tore into him lol)

(I didn't tell her anything, but I guess she picked up on the fact that he's a religious nut. And when she saw me type this she kinda groaned so....)

(She looked shocked when I said he was dating a goddess) "That's not religious that's sacrilegious!"

"Legolas

"Cute! He's cute. Probably a bit mischievous, spunky, bit of a rebel, goes off and does his own adventures when he's not supposed to. Generally smart but gets his butt handed to him on occasion from going off my himself. He's just like a cute, mischievous trouble-maker who means well but get's himself screwed up."

(I was dying as I wrote it, she got him perfect!)

"Hiccup

"Getting a Hiccup vibe, but also Sokka- Is that a boomerang? It's a boomerang :)

"He a bit timid on the surface, but he's got his own thing going and is gonna stand up for what he wants to do. He'll go off and do his adventure stuff but he's also afraid of dying or getting hurt (like the 1st Hiccup freeing Toothless scene in the woods). Easily startled but quick to spring into action. Kinda like the sneak boi."

(Told me to make sure to type it "boi")

He's half fairy.

"That makes sense.

"And his sword is dying! Look at this!!!"

(She really disliked how his sword looks, we laughed like nuts)

"Kuzko

"Why Kuzko? I already don't like him. I feel like he's cocky, a bit of a flirt, tries to look cool and screws it up. Like he thinks he's really epic, "stand aside, let me do my thing", proceeds to blow himself up. Based on the fact that he's holding a bomb I'm guessing that he does something with explosives, but he's also got a sword. And what is that, a joker's vest? He looks like that weird kid who ran away to join the circus but is also a mercenary part time."

Anything else?

"He explode."

Everyone's gonna riot, you're just tearing into their favorites!

"Baby Face- No! Mort! (like in Madagascar)

Ew. He's like an ugly baby face, is he slinging a bell around? What is that? Is that a bell?"

It's a grappling hook.

"Either he's really small and immature, or just really young, or both. I feel like the creator designed him to be this mischievous lovable character but I would probably hate him :). Probably takes on too much, tries to be a hero but he's to amateur. Probably has a dramatic backstory; like he's a prince or something. He's probably got like a high pitched annoying voice (she dislikes kids). He's like if Deku was younger and medieval, except I like Deku. He probably cries a lot too."

(Sorry to the Wind, Sky and Four fans, I can't control her)

Last one (for now)

(told her he's my fav)

"Sonic

Oh no. Oh no. I think he's like, cocky, flashy, probably a bit of a flirt, but at the same time I feel like underneath that he's really sweet. He's a team player but a bit of a showoff. It's easy for him to get himself into a pickle."

He turns into a rabbit.

No rabbits! No! No rabbits! (She just read Melvina's Therapy webtoon)

"He looks like is James Hiller tried to be an elf knight."

Anything else?

"Idk he's just weird."

He's the most emo out of all of them.

"He's emo? He looks like a 'har har snicker ha' (a swashbuckler, for those who didn't grow up watching veggies hop around telling Bible stories), like Kirishima and Kaminari combined."

Showed her this Bunny Legend page

I"Oh my frick! It's a raspberry bunny! Like a raspberry bunny from Redwall! Like if Kirby ate a bunny! Oh my freaking gosh it's like if kirby ate a pokemon! Oh gosh! He's cute! I wanna read it I wanna read it I wanna read it!"

(I converted her, lol)

That mostly sums it up, but I did show her a piece of fanart, and she told me that Hyrule looks like my old OC Fitz (I might post the art one day, lol, it was terrible!), Warriors is He-Man, and Four is a blone Tarzan.

Additionally, I told her some of them were shifters, and when telling her that manga Legend becomes what is essentially a werewolf she went "Are there any vampires?"

.....

I told her Wars was the closest to a vampire, but only because @mmmwafflesart made him one.

She did like the idea of Shadow though, go fig..

(If y'all are curious I might follow this up with her thoughts on Malon and Ravio, but those were recorded and I don't think she wants that chaos soundtrack out (my hands were too busy to type at the moment))
