It may be absolutely unfaithfull to the true characterization, but I love Troy version of Agamemnon. As a villian he is fucking hilarious, just check on this:
The inside of the throne room of his palace in Mycenae
and now look at the inside of his tent in the greek camp
It looks literally the same, he made it be copied in every detail ... Even the fucking throne.
His throne is right there, i can't get over that. It is unclear if the motherfucker has a replica or may have ordered the original be carried away to Troy with him

Salò thoughts ten days after watching it because I’ve finally processed it.
the four fascists calling themselves ‘the true anarachists’, nominally advocating for social freedom, praising ‘sodomy’ for its subversive nature and ability to collapse social and moral boundaries, art and aestheticism to facilitate their activities — all of it building up to posit that all acts are morally neutral in and of themselves & that their morality is dependent on who propagates them, in what context, and to what effects. brilliant and devastating. very in line with the bibliography at the beginning of the film.
‘they don’t realise that the bourgeoisie has never hesitated to kill its children’ rawest line in film probably
the musician(?) was my favourite character for her role in the story: choosing hollow humour to drown out her brief moment of outspoken horror during the wedding + her ‘suddenly’ realising the gravity of the situation and ending her life were a good representation of apathy that does not exempt one from complicity.
the closing scene and the dream of Marguerite outside of all this horror but still connected to it. I want to kms

#terri yamamoto#as far as i can remember terri is less based on tv shows or movies but more based on vibes lol#well idk she was based a lot on chiaki kuriyama and idol culture in japan#not that chiaki is an idol but it is very common for idols in japan to do inappropriate photos (for minors at least)#i also based her on the idea of child modelling in japan and how it was very common in the '90s for whole ass children to pose nude#to this day you do not have to look that hard for these types of photos of certain japanese celebrities#not all of them are super inappropriate but we should not be letting child models pose nude in any context#ive also seen a lot of movies from the 2000s and 2010s that just show like mundane japanese life that i based some of her life off of#but ultimately i was intrigued by the ideas of a child celebrity who grows up and just wants to escape it all at any cost but it still#finds her#and the incredible void and self-destructive behaviors that depression can cause#AND a tiny bit of inspiration of mima from perfect blue#none of the psychological horror themes of the film but just the idea of her being famous and how it started to destroy her#anyway this is long and most of her story is only in my head or just not shared here yet so this is probably confusing#tag game#nonsims
