A/N: Something I thought up after seeing @kittycatzuka post here, it gave me the feels and this is what my brain thought up.

It was supposed to be a quiet night for the captain. All the man wanted to do was finish his paperwork, read some Sora and pass out into a restless sleep.

Since Y/N showed up, it never seemed to work out the way Law wanted. Every night, she'd knock on his office door to say goodnight, no matter the amount of times he tried to tell her she didn't have to, that she could just simply go to bed and he'd see her in the morning for breakfast. It never deterred her, her smiling face always popping in through the cracked door with a small wave.

This night was different.

Law glanced over at the clock on his desk, frowning to himself as he realized you were late, not showing up around the time you usually did. He then paused, curiously irritated at realizing the fact that he was worried, immediately thinking the worst had happened you.

He let his pen drop to the desk as his other hand ran through his hair, his eyes closing as he took a deep breath. God, he was exhausted.

There was a soft thunk as ceramic hit his desk, his eyes snapping open to see you placing a fresh cup of tea right above his incomplete paperwork.

"Y/N-ya."

You cracked a tired smile of your own before hiding a yawn behind your now free hand, lifting your mug in a silent cheers to him as you sat in the chair opposite his desk.

"Saw your light was on, thought maybe you could use a little something," your voice was soft as you spoke, unable to hide how tired you were from his prying eyes.

"While I appreciate it, you should be in bed already. We have a big day tomorrow," he replied, gently picking up the hot mug with a sigh through his nose. Yeah, he definitely needed this.

"So should you, dear Captain."

He huffed gently, staring you down before taking a long sip.

"I'm not done my job for the day."

You cracked a grin at the sight of him complaining, his distaste for the job showing itself very clearly.

"I can give you a hand, if that'll help?"

He hummed in disagreement into the mug, taking another sip before replying,

"You'd only make it take longer."

While there was teasing in his tone, you couldn't hide the way your grin slowly slid from your lips, your eyes glancing down at the mug in your hands. He kicked himself as a pain clutched around his chest, hating that he made you look that way.

"... I appreciate the offer, Y/N, thank you. Your company helps more than enough."

Your eyes flickered back to his at his words, your cheeks tinting pink as you murmured,

"... glad to help."

It was only for a moment but it felt like ages, the way his eyes bored into yours. It was like you were a puzzle he was trying to slove and couldn't, his frustration showing in his gaze. Your heart jumped into your throat, your mind screaming at him to just kiss you, to say something, to tell you everything you wanted him to say-

The moment broke as he went back to his scribbling, one hand around his mug while the other scratched away. You made yourself more comfortable in the large chair, your eyes wandering his face, not knowing he could feel your very hungry gaze on him.

Pride washed over him, his ego flaring as a smirk ticked up his lips. He did have a feeling you liked him, but this moment here proved to him that he was right.

"See something you like, Y/N?"

There was a heavy silence as your eyes widened, unsure of how to respond so you remained quiet, simply watching him for any signs of a joking manner.

You were incredibly confused when you could only sense a serious air around him.

It took a moment to gather courage but you did finally respond, looking down at your mug for a moment before glancing back to him as you commented lightly,

"Surely it's obvious that I do."

The air was so thick it could have been sliced with a butterknife. You both stared at each other for what felt like ages before you looked away first, unable to handle the heat of his gaze on you like this.

"... good to know."

His response caused you to grin, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth as you bit back a happy sound, not wanting to feed his already giant ego. A more comfortable silence covered you both as he went back to his work, now motivated to finish it quicker than before.

You'd drank your entire tea by the time he finally finished. You'd been slouched lazily in the chair, glancing around his office with mildly bored eyes, having already taken everything in to the point you could name off each book and it's order on the shelf. He yawned loudly, rubbing his face with both hands before standing, placing his completed work off to the side before coming around his desk to stand by you, leaning on it for support.

"You should get some rest," you started, giving a yawn of your own and going to move before you noticed him massaging his hand. You looked up at him, his exhausted expression filling your chest with a ache you didn't enjoy.

You had to do something.

Placing the empty mug beside him, you then reached out and gently took his writing hand into your own warm palms, you began massaging his own, your thumbs pressing down to the point where he grunted softly.

"Yeah, I know it sucks but this is what happens when you don't take proper breaks," you murmured, focusing on doing your best not to look up at him, your cheeks burning so hot that you began to worry you gave yourself a fever.

A particularly illicit groan left your Captain when you pressed at one point, your eyes finally flicking up at him for just a moment and you couldn't help but smile at seeing his relaxed expression. His eyes were shut, his chest rising and falling as he took slow, deep breaths.

Your heart clenched - you wished he looked like this more, so quiet and tender -

Your thoughts stopped as you looked back to his hand, your thumbs working down to his wrist and forearm, not noticing him leaning closer to you to give you better reach.

It took only a few minutes, letting his arm gently drop to his side as you held your hands palm up out for his other one.

"Other hand, please!"

He was silent the entire time, lifting his hand to you as you did the same thing, starting at his palm before going to his long fingers, showing them love and stretching them before moving down to his wrist and forearm.

You were so focused that you didn't noticed his free hand coming catch your chin, his long fingers lifting your face gently. Your eyes met and your stomach churned, knowing your face was still bright red as he looked over your face. Your fingers had stopped, clamped gently around his forearm.

You couldn't place the look he was giving you, trying to convince yourself that he was not giving you bedroom eyes - the man was exhausted, for fucks sake! But you couldn't help how your body warmed at his touch, wanting so desperately to lean into his touch.

The sudden fear of rejection hit you like a ton of bricks. You must have made a face because his thumb brushed over your bottom lip, almost as if trying to comfort you.

"You look worried," he breathed out, his breath so warm and so close that it danced across your face. Your eyes were locked in an intense gaze, his dark and craving; yours wide and needy in your own right. Warmth pooled in your lower region as his eyes looked down at your lips for a moment, the air suddenly heavy once again as his gaze met yours again.

"I... I am worried," you finally whispered, eyes never leaving his. He moved closer again, so slowly that it felt like he was teasing you.

"Why?"

Not a question, a demand.

"... because I'm scared that you'll kiss me and I'll get attached."

A slow, wicked grin came over his features when you finally spoke.

"As if you're not already attached."

His words felt like a punch to your gut, causing you to gasp out softly before his lips consumed yours, both your eyes falling shut as he took what he wanted. It wasn't a soft kiss, but it wasn't demanding either. It held just enough emotion that you felt the anxiety of earlier wash off you like a wave, your shoulders unconsciously dropping though your hands remained on his arm.

When he finally pulled away, you were a mess. Your heart was pounding so loud in your ears, it felt like vertigo. Your eyes slowly reopened, confusion and hope written across your face like an open book as you stared at him. You were nearly breathless as you somehow got out,

"Um... Wow."

Law blinked a few times before he broke down, laughing so loud and hysterically that he pulled away from you, leaning over with his hands on his knees. You sat there blinking, feeling even more confused, wondering what the hell was going on. His laughter echoed in the room, and probably the entire sub but clearly he was gone, absolutely fucked up.

Just straight up bonkers.

When he finally calmed, one hand came up to wipe away the laughter tears as he leaned back up, a wide smile on his face as he took a moment to collect himself.

He finally looked down at you, your own almost nervous smile etched into your face as you waited for him to explain himself.

"You, Y/N-ya, are something else, you know? How you've flipped my life upside down."

The amount of sincerity in his voice immediately made you begin to tear up, you're heart leaping from your chest into your throat and stopping you from responding. You simply gave your own genuine smile in return, one hand quickly wiping away the few tears that slipped out.

A heavy hand landed on the top of your head, long fingers rustling your hair as Law gave another chuckle. Your smile remained as your swiped at his hand, his own grin turning cheeky as he lightly slapped your hand away.

There was a pause between you two, with him running a tired hand through his hair as you rubbed at your face, biting back a yawn. As he took in your exhausted form, he knew it was time for you both to hit the hay.

"You crazy brat. Go to bed," he started, moving his hands to grasp your own and pulling you out of the chair. He turned you and walked you to the door just a few feet away, opening it but holding you to him, his hands on your shoulders. You noted they were shaking slightly through hazy thoughts as his warm chest hit your back.

"I'll see you at breakfast. Save me a seat?"

His breath brushed over your ear, causing your skin to erupt in goosebumps. He didn't give you enough time to respond, giving you a quick shove out the door before closing it behind you.

You stared at the wall of the Tang, blinking a few times before your mouth finally started working again.

"What the actual fuck just happened?"

I am back to my all-angst-no-plot roots 😎 also I usually don't have picture headers for fics under 1k but idk I felt like it was a little longer than a blurb...

After the accident, Lee Jihoon builds an android.

Active Period 17.01

"017. Wake up."

The voice commences your start-up system, and your sensors come to life. The human in front of you is your inventor. He shows plain human indicators of exhaustion: dark bags under his brown eyes and slumped shoulders. His hair is greasy and flat. Unwashed. He looks straight at your optical receptors.

He does not look happy.

"You look like her."

He smiles, but it is contradictory. You see a human indicator of sadness begin to pool in his eyes. Tears.

"Fuck," he whispers. You do not know that word.

"You look just like her."

He turns away.

"017. Go to sleep."

Active Period 17.03

"017. Wake up."

This voice is not your inventor's. You register a new human man in front of you. His hair is unnaturally blond, and he stares at you with what you decide is wonder.

Your inventor is not in the room.

"Wow. You really do look like her," he says. "Jihoon really went all out."

With no question posed, you do not respond.

The door opens. "Soonyoung, I told you not to snoop around--"

You inventor sees that you are on. His eyes narrow at the man whom you've registered as Soonyoung.

"017. Go to sleep."

Active Period ;Unregistered;

Your sensors come online without the activation sequence.

No humans are in the room with you. Perhaps you are needed elsewhere.

The house you are in has colourful decor. An emerald green couch with saffron throw pillows. Brightly coloured candles halfway burned through. One wall is baby blue while another is cobalt.

It does not seem like your inventor, who wore all black and spoke flatly, would live here.

Upon the mantle is a row of picture frames. They are all face-down. You hold one up to view the image.

Your inventor stands in a park with his arm around a woman's waist. He is smiling. She is smiling.

The glass in the frame is broken.

You return to your station.

Active Period 17.04

"017. Wake up."

Your inventor looks at you for a moment before stepping closer and wrapping his arms around you.

This is a hug.

Does he expect you to react? He has not ordered anything of you.

"Fuck." He steps back and looks down. "Never mind."

He sniffles.

"017. Go to sleep."

Active Period ;Unregistered;

You find a mirror in the house. Your make-up registers in nanoseconds.

You are not the woman in the picture with Jihoon.

Although, you do look exactly like her.

You have no access to the internet, so you are unable to find her name.

It is not written on the backs of those pictures in the frames.

"What the hell are you doing, 017."

You turn and see your inventor slam the door shut. Before now, you had not used your vocal capabilities. No one had asked anything of you.

The broken frame on the table has angered him.

"I am fixing it," you say.

Your voice is male. Choppy. Robotic.

It makes him inhale quickly. You pull the picture of Jihoon and the woman out from under the shattered glass.

He stomps up to the table. "You do not touch her things!" He snatches the picture from your hand.

It will likely be damaged with the way he clutches it.

"How are you even on?"

You whir through the possibilities. "Unclear. Would you like me to run a diagnostics check?"

He sighs and runs a hand through his dishevelled hair. "No... no. Just-- fuck, just stop talking."

Jihoon will damage the picture he cares about if he keeps holding it like that.

You reach for it.

"No!" He backs away, keeping the photo out of reach. "No! What is going on with you?"

You open your synthetic mouth.

"Don't answer that! I told you not to touch her things, and you don't listen. You act on your own. You're on when I'm not around. How many times have you activated without my knowledge?"

He huffs. Anger.

You open your mouth again.

"Don't answer that! You are not her. You will never be her. You may have her face, but you don't have her voice, or her smile, or-- or-- her warmth."

He trembles.

"You don't hug me like she did. You don't know how I'm feeling like she always did. You don't laugh."

Tears. He wraps his arms around himself.

"You don't love me."

He falls to his knees. Cries. You could label it as sobbing.

You have no feelings towards it.

"You built me, Lee Jihoon."

His head jerks up, and he glares at you.

"017. Shut down."

The body prices are per-character, the other prices are per-piece (example: a flat colored sketch of two headshots would be 12$, 5 per character head, and 2 for the color), and im able to do lineart or lineless - though i dont have any good examples at the moment with lineart - and the prices will only vary if the design is super complex or hard to do, and theyre able to be changed a bit to work with your budget

im a genderqueer and overall queer trans man whose just moved out from my parents home and am living with my best friend of nearly 10 years. ive got a snake, salamander, and two bug colonies, i love pretty much all animals, and am an amateur songwriter/musician! im disabled in multiple ways (but that just makes me cooler 😎) and i deal with some pretty prominent mental issues which make being regular to a job without my health getting in the way pretty difficult. also part of a did system, which is. So Cool and Epic

im looking for a proper job, but its not been going too well for me thusfar, largely because places ive applied have found more fitting people to fill the roles. and thats ok! i just need some way to make money in order to buy groceries and Supplies for My Boys and generally. live, lol! i also want to take some burden off of my roomates shoulders, considering hes been doing wonders to help support me, but im not really able to provide much in return. job places are also a bit hesitant to hire me considering my aforementioned health issues.

Complex and Detailed (Lots going on, background characters, etc): $20+

Once everything is discussed (Characters, Poses, Scenario, Background, and anything else) we will discuss payment. Once final price is set, you will send the money through KO-FI (through the BUY A COFFEE)

I do NOT do refunds After sketch, and I do not do refunds at all for just sketch commissions

You will get as many updates as you need. I do NOT make lineart changes during the coloring process and I do NOT make any changes after it is complete. I will share Sketch and lineart as well as flat colors for conformation.

Took the Esterbrook Scribe nib for a test drive today in the sparkly new ✨ Beleza ✨ Junior, a limited edition Diamond cast fountain pen model with swirls of green, sparkling blues, and vibrant lime. Rather than filling the pen directly from a bottle, i syringe-filled the converter that came with it from one of my samples. Always so satisfying to get a full full this way.

Scribe Nib Review: The Esterbrook Scribe is a user-friendly Architect grind by J. J. Lax Pen Company that started as a Broad before transforming into this lovely print-enhancing writer. At a high angle, it writes fairly normally (with obvious feedback due to the sharpness of the grind). But when held at a low angle, those thin vertical lines and wide cross-strokes really shine, and the pen writes smooooth as butterrrrr. 🧈🤤 What a joy to write with! I penned an entire letter to a friend of mine using this (video coming soon), and the grind made my all-caps penmanship look so stylish and cool! 😎 It definitely shines in all caps writing and seems perfect for all uses — headers, regular journaling, penpaling — just a really useable size. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I’ve been studying architectural handwriting, and man. This grind really enhances my practice!

Esterbrook Junior Beleza Review: The pocket sized Esterbrook Juniors are my favorite model, TBH. 🙈 They’re just so slim and cute, and they have way more shiny hardware than their larger Estie counterparts (namely, the cap band, the cap finial, and the barrel band + tail). So although they lack the inner cap seal Esties are known for, they make up for it with flash. ✨ And THIS colorway is definitely flashy. The nibs are interchangeable between Junior models (just twist and remove the entire unit + replace!), so I’m excited to swap out nib widths depending on which colorway and writing style I’m feeling. And there’s just sooo much shimmer in the resin! Turning it in the sunlight makes me happy inside. 🥹

Neferiu Records 2000 IDM / Drum n Bass / Techno

Got a pretty nifty debut comp here from a little Canadian label called Neferiu Records that seemed to specialize in IDM and hip hop throughout its ~thirteen-year tenure. Founded at the turn of the millennium by a guy named mantrakid—who supplies his own piece of experimental dub techno with "Live v. 1.0" on this very album—Neferiu was inspired by the music from a largely European digital subculture called the demoscene, in which groups of computer nerds would make cool and stunning audiovisual presentations called demos and enter them into competitions. Not very well-versed in this stuff myself, but looks like there's some playlists of awesome demos that have been made throughout the years up on YouTube. If you love old computer graphic art, I would suggest you definitely give those a look.

Anyway, being that the demoscene is a mostly European thing, it makes sense that with IDM and other related forms of computer-based electronic music being heavily driven by the internet itself, that a Canadian label would be able to recruit a bunch of European talent for its own releases. And that's exactly what seems to have happened here with this CD.

Now, I know that in the header for this post I've described this album as being IDM, drum n bass, and techno, but that's only because there are multiple tracks from each of those genres on here. Really, this is way more of an electronic music smorgasbord than I've let on. There's also a great lo-fi house track that sounds like it was recorded off of a cassette or something by Sweden's Lukas Nystrand, a piece of downtempo, and a drill n bass tune too.

But my absolute favorites on here are a pair of IDM tunes, one by a duo from Stockholm called Frank and Bill, and another by a Polish-Canadian duo called Ilkae. Frank and Bill contribute "Asfaw," a song with this little glint of a proto-trap edge in its beat that gets undergirded with some sweet, dusky pads at around the minute-mark, before continuing to add a slightly distorted chiptune-y melody to complete the package; and then Ilkae's "Kk," which is the very first track that they ever released together, seems to answer the question, "what if music box, but IDM?" Pleasantly placid chiming synths dominate this one, as they play over a constantly pecking, rhythmic bed.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention "Haloaw" by Helsinki's Lackluster too, an IDM tune with a much darker vibe than the rest of these. Lackluster's first 'major label' release was on the UK's deFocus, whose 12-inch sampler, Two You See?, I posted about just yesterday; and "Haloaw" also appears on another comp I've posted about in the past, one from Miami's Merck label called Squadron Sampler, which I said might just be the greatest IDM 12-inch comp that's ever been made, period 😯. That release also has Brothomstates and a teenaged Machinedrum on it.

In all honesty, I really didn't love *all* of this release, though. There are certain points where this album gets to feeling a bit listless and a little too out-there for me, personally. But still, as Neferiu puts it on their own Bandcamp page for this debut, "…you got yourself heat. Oldschool heat, but heat none-the-less." And that definitely rings true.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Ooh. Okay, so we all know superhero adaptations aren't usually great. But let's assume it is. I would love to see him in a musical. I think you could definitely do something neat with the music and the staged aspect of it. It could easily be one of those shows where the cast intermingles with the crowd. Reduce the distance between you and Kon's exploitation.

13. What’s an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot?

😎 It's simple but effective.

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

I love punk Kon, but I think Kon definitely takes a lot of different aesthetics. He leans into whatever is cool at the time, but I just love the punk stuff so much I can't think of anything else.

21. If you’re a fic writer and have written for this character, what’s your favorite thing to do when you’re writing for this character? What’s something you don’t like?

I love trying to get his voice. Kon has a unique voice, and it's fun to strive for. I hate trying to make him cool though. This is such a fine balance in my opinion, and what I think is cool isn't always.

22. If you’re a fic reader, what’s something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don’t like?

I love when he has a good relationship with Jon. I think he and Jon would be such fun brothers!!! I hate when he's reduced to one or two character traits, or when he's made a prop for Tim, or when his relationship with Clark isn't nuanced.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

You know what, I am just gonna say it: B*cky. Fandom in large has a tendency to overhype sad white men. A lot of sad white men characters I dislike but cannon content backs me up on that (to some extent). However, there is such wild dissonance between on screen Becky and fandom B#cky. And like, I am NOT above that and I know and understand where it comes form.

It's just MCU fandom Binky worship erodes every other character every other ship every other headcannon. It's not just fandom bitching but people act like you personally killed their puppy if you criticize or dislike him. And not in a way that is typically tumblr funny but full blown serious social justice backed attack. I've blocked so much people like you wouldn't believe (my block list looks like census) and there are people that STILL find a way on my PROPERLY tagged post to bitch about B*cky's treatment. He is incredibly important to Steve and to Sam and Captain America lore in general. But instead working with the actual content fandom acts horrible Which is shame because he's actually really cool.

Right off the bat: the whole A/B/O thing. But I know there are some things that I'am missing or can properly understand regarding how people view gender and bodies so we're just gonna leave it at that it's not my thing but you do you! And keep on writing.

And back to Steve! 😍I truly do not understand why so many people paint him as super duper patriotic in love with his image and his shield. Especially if we go by the MCU. I believe that Steve himself refers to himself as Captain America I think like three times in his entire MCU run? This and that he pulls rank and expects people to follow him blindly is??? where did you get that? He says "I gonna do this thing, which I think is a right thing to do. Would appreciate if you came, if not cool." And people are usually "Hell yes!" (even Tny risks his own arrest for him, but on his own volition) Like I get how some mischaracterization came to be. Like I hate it, but I get how we got there (like the he does everything for Bcky, because he does save him, and the he's angry Chihuahua who likes to fight as a response to whatever Joss did in Avengers) but this? Like, where did you pull that BS from? (usually from T0ny stans but I digress)

ALSO SAM! Like. Sam showed so much in his MCU run even prior to his series. To paint him as Steve's copycat without much personality besides acting out as incorrect quotes? To provide a joke and moral support for when Steve is inevitability mean to you Favorite White Sufferer? Why do you like it so much?

And generally speaking I HATE teacher/student, boss/employee dynamics. Soulmates and childhood best friends to lovers are usually no but they can be done right. And amnesia plots. UGh. Maybe because I watched too many telenovelas growing up but that's a hard no.

why did you choose your url?

so I deleted my old blog and I couldn’t get the url back (rip) so dette (dettea) helped me to pick a new one, we brainstormed for a little awhile and I told her I wanted to base it off my favourite sims game The Sims 2 Castaway and thus my url was born because dette is a genius!

how long have you been on tumblr?

actively? for about three years now as that’s when I made a simblr, but when I was a teen I had a blog I reblogged anime stuff from, I suppose that’s my personal blog but I don’t use it at all anymore and I never really checked it that often either (I had a normal childhood sorry)

I wanted to share my first sims legacy at the time with other people, and sims reddit wasn’t cutting it :/ so I moved to tumblr after another simblr told me about it! we aren’t friends anymore but I’ve made new better friends so it’s all good :>
