For anyone wondering "why was this considered horror? That wasn't very spooky!", please understand that this is an ARG and the plot here is that "Showfall media" is purposefully putting up a front to attract an audience for this "show."

Also, if you know anything about the actual phenomena of generation loss in analog media, you'll know that the content degrades and distorts over time, effectively changing forever and often getting creepier and harder to discern as time goes on.

Bioloveds on Twitter explains it really well:

[ID: bioloveds on Twitter posted: "I think the very beginning of generation loss/episode 1 is meant to lure us into a sense of security with the lack of horror and then it's going to get progressively more disturbing. Remember, generation loss is a repetition of something until it is completely distorted"

Below the text is an collective picture with six examples to show the process of generation loss on analog media, in this case showing an old image of a building, the next image is the same but slightly more distorted, and each example after is the same image in increased levels of distortion.]

While I don't think it'll get TOO scary and it is noted to be a horror comedy, that doesn't mean things won't ramp up in the next two episodes, so still heed those warnings and stay safe!
