J-HOPE: “Huh? Wait, did we ever have this guy in our group? Who is this?” *clearly enjoying teasing his bestie, a cheeky smile on his face*

SE3OUL: *just sat down on the chair opposite to the members as he smirks at hoseok* “Hope you get all these answers wrong.”

J-HOPE: “Never, friend.” *wink + shooting hearts*

JIN: “Yah, yah. Back down, will you? Are you forgetting who’s here? Kim Seokjin knows everything.” *tsking as he brings the attention to himself*

V: “Eh? Hyung, are you suddenly losing your memory? Who do you think I am to Hoseong hyung?”

RM: *cue joon staring into the camera, clearly wishing to be saved* “I’m sorry. This is just a daily occurrence with these guys. Please introduce the question.”

QUESTION: What is the one thing that you always forget to pack when you travel?

ALL MEMBERS: *immediately yelling over one another thinking they know the answer, even before hoseong has written it down on his board*

SE3OUL: *literally shook at the chaos rn* “Yah! I haven’t written my answer down. How could you already know it?!”

JIMIN: *raising his hand aggressively* “I know, I know! His underwear. Whenever we’re filming for Bon Voyage, or even going on tours, you’ll see him searching through his bag for like an hour until he realises he forgot to pack underwear.”

JUNGKOOK: “Oh, true! You can even see hyung’s face of realisation clear as day. He smiles all embarrassed, but his face looks cheeky.”

SUGA: “No. You know what I think? He does it on purpose so that we buy him new underwear for free during each trip. He’s basically got a colossal sized amount of underwear from all of us.”

ALL MEMBERS: *turning their heads to stare at hoseong in sync, accusatory*

SE3OUL: *feeling flustered* “Huh? No! Suga hyung is creating conspiracies about me and you’re all just believing him blindly! Hyung!” *pouting at suga rn*

J-HOPE: “Nope.” *raising his hand to answer* “There’s one item he’s even more forgetful about than underwear.”

A MOMENT OF SILENCE AS EVERYONE WAITS FOR HOSEOK TO ANSWER.

J-HOPE: “I regret to inform you guys… but it’s me.” *cue tearful and dramatic acting here*

SE3OUL: *embarrassed face calm*

JIN: “Oh? Wait! He’s not lying, he’s not lying! Yah, didn’t Hoseong-ah leave J-Hope at that gas station in New Zealand during Bon Voyage?”

JUNGKOOK: “Oh? No, Jin hyung is right! Hoseong hyung left him there when he’d ran off to the toilets.”

SE3OUL: “Yah! Is that my fault, huh? Who runs off to the restroom without informing the driver beforehand? I didn’t have time to do a head count.”

J-HOPE: *continuing to display an emotional scene rn*

RM: “Okay, okay. Let’s get a little serious now. Does anyone actually know the answer before we reveal it?”

V: *raising his hand with a confident yet humble expression* “Sunscreen.”

SE3OUL: “Oh?” *shocked park hoseong as he looks at the crew behind the camera*

JIMIN: *curious at hoseong’s expression* “Why? Did he get it right?”

ANSWER: Sunscreen.

V: *trying to hide his smile rn as he slouches in his seat comfortably*

RM: “Really? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you ask for sunscreen on our trips.” *looking at hoseong for an answer, curious*

SE3OUL: “Taehyungie brings an extra bottle for me because he knows I forget it every time. That’s why he knew the answer.” *soft smile directed at v*

SUGA: “Wow, so the initial shock was just for bonus screen time points, huh? You’re sly.” *tsking*

RM: “Alright, alright. Next question!”

QUESTION: What is your biggest dream for the future?

J-HOPE: “Oh, oh! I definitely know this one!” *raising his hand as he speaks* “Marriage and children.” *super smug jung hoseok*

SE3OUL: *giving this man a deadpan look* “Are you serious? I will bite you.”

J-HOPE: “Oh? Kin-”

RM: *literally ready to reach back and tape his mouth shut* “No. Please.”

JUNGKOOK: *giggling at his hyungs’ childishness before raising his hand* “Number one singer?”

JIMIN: *cue face of slow realisation before he’s raising his hand aggressively again* “No, it’s more specific! Hyung-nim, didn’t you say you wanted to dominate all American charts? He wants to be the main pop boy.”

SUGA: “Number one billboard singer.” *nodding in respect*

JIN: “Ohhh, our Hoseongie number one Korean artist in the world. Worldwide Pop Boy.”

SE3OUL: *watching his members with pure adoration tbh*

STAFF: *trying to snap him out of it by asking him to reveal the answer*

SE3OUL: “Ah, right. Sorry!”

ANSWER: Number One Pop Sensation.

V: “We’ll support you on your way to making history.” *lil cheer fist*

RM: “Well, Seong-ah’s already pretty famous in the West, right? I think he’s the most popular in our group amongst Americans.”

SUGA: “I heard he’s on his way to being a Grammy nominee again?” *dramatic face of shock*

SE3OUL: *can’t hold back the laughter* “You guys better start lining up now to get my autographs. I think the line might get too long in a few years’ time.” *jokingly smug king*

JIMIN: “Don’t forget us when you’re famous~” *can’t help but tease*

AFTER ALL MEMBERS HAVE HAD A GO, IT IS TIME FOR THE RESULTS!

SE3OUL: “You guys should really be grateful to me. I only ended up in the bottom half because I wanted to give everyone else a chance.” *pretending to be a saint*

ALL MEMBERS: *cue chaotic disagreements + everyone attacking hoseong*

RM: *no idea what he is witnessing rn but ignores it* “There you go guys. That was us on Vanity Fair and we are BTS!”

Grace Era

When it had first been discussed about taking a break, Grace had been completely all for it. The period from 2017 to 2021, felt to Grace, as one of the busiest periods. Even if they were resting, they were still working and not much actual time off had taken place, at least not for her. The month break before filming Bon Voyage: New Zealand had been filled with more work than she realised so this actual break had been a blessing.

But then came the talks of military service, solo projects taking precedence over group projects and then living apart. They had all bought their own places a while back, using the dorm for work which meant they were still living together more than they were apart. The pandemic saw them quarantine together before they were allowed to separate, but even then they were still together.

Grace, who had finally felt comfortable in her identity as the only female member of BTS and being the only female at Big Hit, suddenly felt lost. Without the boys, who was she? Without BTS by her side, who could she claim to be?

So she went into seclusion at her own apartment, appearing for schedules and work then going straight back home.

The military service was something they all had to do, apart from Grace, and they had all been prepped for it. Seokjin had even wanted to go before Butter came along, but then the pandemic hit and before their Busan concert, he wanted to go but they told him to prolong it for ARMY and then go after the concert. Grace had felt guilty as she knew how much Jin wanted to go and just get it done so he could come back, all the boys had felt like that.

But they also had felt excited about finally doing their own solo things. Grace didn’t.

Bang called her into the office one day, alone and sat her down to have a good talk. To ask her how she was, what was going on in her head and how she was feeling about everything. And finally, she could be honest: she was going to be alone, she was going to be the only member of BTS left and when the boys came back, would they even want to be part of BTS again?

A fear of being alone, to be the only one standing on stage and proclaiming to be part of one of the biggest groups on earth. It scared her.

So Bang put together a team: Sejin was recalled back to be her personal manager, she got her own make up team and stylist, then a team of bodyguards. Big HIt was going to start treating her like the female soloist that she could have been from the beginning.

All of them began to plan Grace’s future career around the boy's solo career, allowing her to attend their schedules undercover while also working on her own. A massive contract with Alexander McQueen was signed with her to be the face of their fashion show in London, another contract was signed with Hyundai for Grace specifically and she signed another contract with Samsung.

Another contract was signed with Louboutin for their famous red bottom heels, allowing her to be the new face of the company but they also signed up to do her heels for future performances.

She managed to secure a deal with Balmain, meeting the creative director Olivier Rousteing in Paris, for designing future performance costumes alongside Big Hits styling team.

Brands and companies were vying for Grace’s attention but she only selected a few, not wanting to interfere with other idols who had previously worked with certain brands or had current contracts with them. She felt like no one should overshadow the other and no fandom should play off the other.

With all boys signed up for the military, Grace was now clear to announce her own projects. BTS's twitter page was updated with black images, no details, other than the words: Here She Comes. A week later, a schedule was updated with the dates but nothing to suggest what those dates meant. Everything and everyone was tight-lipped, no one knew any ideas.

Finally, the big reveal came on Grace’s birthday when she went on V-LIVE to announce a new album was coming as well as a tour, having taken a leaf from Yoongi’s book. Ticket dates and the schedule would be announced soon but a music video would be coming in two weeks.

Once the announcement was made, Big Hit changed their social media layouts to feature Grace. ARMY began their own countdowns, even celebrities were going on their own social media to show off their excitement. Teasers were posted through the coming days, and finally, on the big day, the video music of 7 Rings was posted. The video exploded over the internet, the reference to BTS in the video wasn’t missed and the seven dancers were also a key point. YouTubers reacted to the video with glowing reviews and by the time they had released their reaction videos, BigHit posted the tour dates and locations.

She would start in Seoul, then onto Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York then into Paris, two nights in London, and two nights in Manchester. She would then go on to do a few more dates in Europe before flying out to Asia, starting in China, the Philippines, then Japan then back to Seoul for the two final dates.

The tour sold out within minutes, with one more date added to Los Angeles and New York as well as Japan. Then the news came that there would be a BTS tribute concert, for a live audience and live streaming with the boys being able to watch in their military barracks. It happened to land smack in the middle of Grace’s tour, with BigHit refusing to say whether she would be in attendance or even performing though the likes of TXT, Seventeen, GOT7, and Stray Kids had already confirmed they were performing.

When the night came and the concert opened to TXT performing a medley of BTS’ older hits, the opening chords to FIRE played and Grace rose from the middle of the stage. Not only did she perform FIRE, she did DOPE, BAEPSAE, BLACK SWAN, FAKE LOVE, BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS then ended the night with DIONYSUS, MIC DROP & IDOL. Her performance was the highlight of the evening and reviews came flooding in about how she managed to do eight parts perfectly, including rapping, and dance everyone’s parts with seven male dancers and still put on a performance.

It became clear to everyone that whether she was performing solo or a BTS track, there would always be seven male or female dancers (sometimes both) and there would always be a hint of purple somewhere to signify her connection to ARMY. Grace had once again proved, despite her worries, that she was BTS through and through.

Her tour would conclude with the date of BTS' anniversary when all the boys would be finally released from their military enlistment and BTS would be complete again.

Loool I never realized it was such a hot take not watching non-jimin centric bts content, what's with the fake outrage? I think I barely even watched ot7 content at the beginning when I started getting into them and it was the pandemic and I was bored as hell. I don't really care about RUN BTS or ITS or BV I watched some of the episodes and then they started to become repetitive to me so I just resorted to watching clips on twitter which honestly that's what most people do anyways?????

The pandemic was also the time I stopped watching things like run. Long story short, it all started after Jungkook and Mijoo actually lmao but well yeah, I was uncomfortable looking at Jungkook and jikook because of everything that had happened. That's why I didn't watch bon voyage New Zealand.

On side of that, I knew 2020 was going to be their last year active as a group so I made the conscious decision to slowly step away so I wouldn't be so devastated when they left.

Then boom. Covid. Literally nothing mattered anymore to me once lockdown was in place here. I moved back with my parents and my sister, I baked and studied all day, I read a lot. Folklore by Taylor healed me in ways I didn't know I needed to heal. For months I barely thought about BTS or consumed their content. I just got used to not watching BTS content, and so I stopped and when I tried to watch again during dynamite promo, I found their content to be boring and repetitive and the narratives trying to be sold (happy bros ot7 can't live without each other Ingalls family stuff) were so glaringly obvious and it was off-putting. Don't even get me started on taekook themselves trying to tell everyone how inseparable they were. Also everyone (Jungkook Taehyung Yoongi) were so annoying, and Jimin was different too. It just wasn't hitting the same.

Bon Voyage 4 in New Zealand (2019)

Maybe everyone already knows this one, but it will always be mildly shocking to me that the editors included the part where Jk specified that the flying kiss was for Jin.

We have Min Suga's lovely GoPro capturing the moment in the background.

I have suspicions that the main cameras weren't filming Jinkook at this moment which was why their guards were down and had this candid convo.

In Korean, he didn't actually specify "I" while speaking so he meant it more along the lines of "Is it because (they) haven't slept and are drinking?". Also, he tilted his head at Jinkook when asking the question.

To which RM awkwardly replied "Getting tipsy(maybe)?" and Jhope hastily moved it along by clapping and shouting "Congratulations!".

At this point, what do we do with the people who are still giving excuses or blatantly ignoring them? Yeah I already know that shipping is a delulu pill but like, at least look at them and what they're literally telling us.

Use a different angle to look at them and everything will immediately match up.

What are your favorite BTS contents besides Run BTS?

I really enjoyed Bon Voyage, especially the seasons in Malta and New Zealand. I became a fan around the time when the first season of In The Soop dropped and I have to admit that it worked for me back then because I was still stuck indoors (early pandemic). But as an entertainment product, BV are much better at keeping the audience's attention due to its format. Run BTS as well, although some episodes are definitely a miss. This is an old ask, but this week they released the first part in which everyone had to create a live episode in front of the other members. I wish I wouldn't have had to watch Hobi play with children's toys that need a toilet.

I see Junior and Kennedy flying to Auntie Maia when they are like 12 and 9 for the first time for like 3-4 weeks during the summer. Kinsley wojkd be falling Maia to see if her babies made it safety there every few hours. It would be like BTS in bon voyage when they went to New Zealand. The weather that is. They would do it for years. Brooklyn would go when she was if age. Aiden wouldn’t unless his parents went with him. Mason would drop them off at Maia’s and stay for a few days then leave and Maia and her boo would take them back home to Seoul and visit the family. it’s a win win situation!

The kids would have so much fun too! And once Mila is older, she’d be included 🥰It would also be good practice for Maia and Kangmin too lol

Do you know a James? I have a second cousin named James! He lives in New Zealand, though, and only visits home every few years. I first met him when he was a few weeks old, then the next time he was already like 10. I haven't seen him again since and I'm guessing he'll be in college or whatever the third time they come back to the Philippines.

Have you ever been to Australia? If not, would you like to? I haven't and I'd love to, but tbh it's also not really at the top of my list. I'm not really sure what I'd want to see/experience there.

Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental illness? Haven't been diagnosed but I'm sure I have one or two hanging out in my head lol.

If you had to choose to have a different accent than the one you have now, what accent would you choose and why? Idk, I'm fine with the accent I have.

New York or California? New York, easily.

Have you ever or do you currently live in a Gated Community? I do and always have.

Who was your last text from? An incredibly late automated OTP that I don't even need anymore.

Do you know how to use a DSLR camera? Yes, I owned one as a teenager. Tumblr made photography this super hip hipster thing in the early 2010s lol and it made me beg my dad to get me a DSLR camera, even though I didn't have a clue how to use one. Long story short I found photography boring and I ultimately passed the camera to my sister, who ended up as the one into arts.

If you had to choose one instrument to perfect, what instrument would you choose? Piano.

What has been the longest amount of time you’ve spent on a plane? Bali was around 4 hours. As much as I'd love to travel the rest of the world, those 20+ hour flights PLUS LAYOVERS sound dreadful.

How often do you use Snapchat? Whoa. I haven't used Snapchat since college, around 2017ish. I remember Angela and I trying to bring it back when the pandemic had *just* started but it didn't catch on.

What does your last text say? It's just an automated message that sent me an OTP.

Have you ever played Habbo? I saw the ads like a million times but never played it.

What about Runescape? Nope.

Have you ever heard of the band Mumford & Sons? If yes, do you like their music? I have, but I've never heard anything of theirs.

What time is it where you’re from? 11:39 PM.

Have you ever adopted an animal from an animal shelter? Yes, Arlee was from PAWS.

Where do you usually find Surveys from? On my dash. I used to look for surveys on Bzoink, but there was a period this year where I couldn't take surveys for a couple of weeks and by the time I came back there were tons of new, interesting ones on my dash. Ever since then I've always just been playing catch-up on my feed and I haven't opened Bzoink in months now.

Australia or New Zealand? Tbh I'd rather save the money lolol I honestly don't know which one to pick and I don't find either worth the visa hassle. I guess if anything uh New Zealand? then go to the spots BTS visited from Bon Voyage hah.

Have you ever missed a flight? Never.

What is your best friend’s middle name? I'm not sharing that.

How do you feel about the passing of Aretha Franklin? I was shocked, but it didn't affect me heavily.

Did you enjoy any of her music? Can't say I was a passionate fan of her music. It's just not something I was regularly exposed to so I've been largely unfamiliar for the most part.

What is your favourite film from your childhood? Toy Story and it's still my favorite kids' movie.

Kanye West or Drake? If we're doing brutal honesty I'd go with Kanye but all the shit he's said and done equally cancels him out, so I'll go with Drake by default lol.

Do you know anyone who is named after a state? I used to work with a girl named Jersey, if that counts.

What was the reason for your previous doctor’s visit? Shots for a dog bite.

Have you ever been to an outdoor cinema? Nope. Too hot and too many flies LOL.

Have you ever had a “bad trip”? If yes, what happened? Idk if this even counts as one because I blacked out so quickly it was almost embarrassing, but what happened was I took a big puff of that cannabis vape thing after already having downed a ton of alcohol and the next thing I knew I was on my knees in the restroom and then finally carried back to my bed.

How often do you use Instagram? Everyday. I post at least one story a day; my in-feed posts are few and far between though and I only do posts if something super significant happens.

Have you ever smoked a cigarette? Yeah, a few times. It's not something I look for and I haven't done it since before the pandemic.

If so, do you still smoke? Nopes.

What are you up to tomorrow? It's my last working day before our office closes down for the holidays so while I'll be at work I'll be in a pretty damn jolly mood hahaha.

What type of questions do you like being asked during a survey? I like random questions that require more thought. It can be boring encountering what-color-is-your-blahblah all the time, and it also turns me away if questions are too hypothetical/philosophical.

What is your favourite Ben Stiller movie? I don't have one.

What is your favourite Spotify playlist if you have one? I made a playlist called 'it's raining purple' which are essentially BTS tracks I think are perfect for when it's raining and I open my windows to let the colder air in.

Outside of playlists I've made, I have two favorites – one called 'the tannies love you' which compiles all of BTS' fan songs; and 'standing next to you' which is an SNTY-focused playlist mixed in with a bunch of Michael Jackson songs.

Do you enjoy learning about conspiracy theories? They're fun to read, yeah! You don't have to believe them; they're just stories to spice up what we already know hahaha. I was obsessed with the Avril Lavigne doppelganger case for a time.

Do you find hand tattoos attractive on your preferred sex? Depends on the tattoo design/style.

If you had a baby boy, what would you name him? I've always been indecisive about a main name, but I'd love for their second name to be Owen after Owen Hart.

What is your favourite Netflix original series? Is Black Mirror considered one? Let's go with that.

Have you ever owned a Tamagotchi? No, too expensive. I had bootleg ones which were just as fun :)

Do you have a favourite “survey blog” on Tumblr? If so, who? I like everyone! :) Would you rather be 10 minutes late or 20 minutes early? Depends on the situation. If it's a super super super big event with like 1,000 people and my presence doesn't matter, I'd honestly much rather be late. Otherwise I'm always early.

If you could be a member of any TV-Sitcom family, which would it be? Perfect Strangers. Would love to finally be fluent in Myposian.

Tell me about the 6th person in your contact list: College orgmate and ultimately became part of the same friend group in college. Haven't seen her in years. Terrific writer, loves cats, unfortunately shares the exact same music taste as my ex so I always shudder when she shares her song recos. Has curly hair, lives in the south, remains to be one of the few people genuinely interested in journalism and I respect her for that. Great sense of style. I miss Blanch!
