bones delivers crew gossip to bridge crew each week to keep them all sane. this one week he keeps hearing a certain rumor about jim and he decides to deliver gossip that day. jim’s like “i love crew gossip cause it’s always so dumb and untrue but absurd and fucking hilarious” at the end of bones’ report he goes “oh yes i almost forgot according to the crew,, our very own captain james tiberius kirk is irrevocably, desperately, furiously, deeply, absolutely, no question about it, madly in love with his first officer” and jim goes “well fuck nvm” and bridge crew goes fucking crazy (also spock isn’t there because plot). this results in bridge crew trying to get jim and spock tg while spock has no fucking clue wtf is going on

The enterprise bridge crew have weekly dinners.
It started of as just something Jim did to get to know his crew better but then it developed into them wanting to hangout with their friends/family while not working or dealing with attacks
They have a rotating schedule of who’s turn it is to cook for the day
Jim Kirk is an amazing cook (his parents and brother were always gone and their replicator wasn’t that good so he learned. He ended up loving it and continued)
Spock can’t really cook (Pike taught him to cook a couple dishes to perfection and those are the only couple dishes he really knows how to make)
Uhura is an amazing cook as well (she just thought it was a cool hobby to pick up for survival classes and ended up loving it)
Leonard is also amazing at cook (most of his dishes are southern style dishes and he’s often teased that as a doctor he sure does have a tendency to cook quite unhealthy foods)
Sulu is an okay chef (he regularly says that his husband, Ben, is a better chef and at the next starbase Ben proves him right)
Scotty has a couple dishes that he’s mastered (he jokes that he's way better at distilling/making and buying alcohol and regularly brings alcohol to the dinners)
Chekov is a horrible chef (he was a young prodigy so he was being shipped off to school where they had replicators that he used always because he was busy with work)
Kirk starts giving cooking lessons to both Spock and Chekov in his free time and learns Vulcan and Russian dishes for them

apologies to my followers who don't watch Star Trek but i still cannot get over the way Data enters the bridge in episode 2 of TNG after having just boinked Tasha. look at him. the style. the lean. the confidence.
this is the fruitiest android i have ever seen!
#star trek#star trek data#data tng#so context: basically everyone on the u.s.s enterprise catches an infection from another ship that makes them act drunk#because they were investigating what happened to the crew after receiving a strange and concerning message from them#basically they were all dead from the ship's emergency latch getting borked because everyone was drunk and their judgement was impaired#so they ended up messing with the ship and got frozen to death#this spreads to the u.s.s enterprise through touch and when it gets to tasha she ends up finding data#and tasha's like ''hey bbg you're 'fully functional' right? wanna smash'' and data's like ''why yes of course i am fully functional#and yes i do want to partake in this 'smashing' activity''#and then they bang#and the infection spreads to data (despite him being an android and not a human which implies the infection is quite strong)#because tasha touched him#and this is the way he waltzes into the bridge afterwards. keep in mind he is usually not this emotive like at all#he's so babygirl#you will likely only see dataposting for the next few weeks im so sorry#i love data so much you dont understand
