A former School House, North Yorkshire, England.
I passed this building in 2021, liked it, snapped it.
Grade 2 listed. Built 1835. Served as a village school 1835-1934, then as the village hall but due to lack of use was sold by the church as a home in 2020 - more of our heritage lost.
Pic 5 attributable to Alan Murray-Rust (2010) and Pics 6-7 attributable to J Thomas (2020). Re-used under Creative Commons License.

"I want to be appealing to my crush. So I tell him I’m not like that. I’m not angry all the time, much less armed. But internally, I’m thinking, of course trans girls all love and fuck each other. Who else will?
When I first learned the term brick for those square never-will-be-passable trans women, it was auxiliary to an explanation for
another term, masonry: as in brick-on-brick love—only bricks get stuck to other bricks.
Except what do you do with the meanness of the word masonry itself? It was other trans women, the only ones that bricks could supposedly trust, who came up with that hilariously cruel slang.
Brick-on-brick betrayal. But we have to understand each other well to be so cruel."

Hi I’m @self-proclaimed-brick-expert, a local brick expert. Do you have any facts about bricks?
Most bricks as found in nature are small, brown to red, and made of dried clay. They have been bred over thousands of years to be stronger, more angular, sturdier for construction, and come in many more colors.
Early writings about bricks include tales of how they were hunted, and how sometimes they fought back. In "Moby Brick" by Herman Mortarville, a hunt for a mythic giant white brick goes awry when the brick attacks and destroys the hunters. Other books are more catered to children, such as the "Brick and Jane" series which teaches basic masonry to readers.
Bricks are still a staple in most cultures and are commonly used in construction to this day. As sturdy construction is valued, competent builders are said to have "Big Brick Energy," and the phrase has transcended the industry to refer to any positive character attribute.
Also check out the works of popular author Philip K. Brick, such as "We Can Cantilever It For You Wholesale," "Do Androids Dream of Electric Blocks," "An Ashlar Darkly," and "Ubrick."
