Playing the mage's guild in my current oblivion run and man does the bravil rumor line hit for edmonton. "Good points? Cheap living, unpretentious, free-wheeling. Bad points? Culturally, a hole. The count's a clown and his son's a skooma-sucker." Dear god its the north side

Strange Door
Three months ago I lost the love of my life. Martin sacrificed himself in order to save the world, and I will still hear people saying that he had no claim to the throne. Ocato was no help or consolation. Every time I spoke to him, he would either fret about the state of the Empire now that there were no Septims, or would talk to me about how brave and special Martin was as if he’d known him longer than I, or as if I wasn’t aware of how amazing he was.
On my last trip to the Imperial City, Ocato had given me the Imperial Dragon armor, which I had been refusing for months, but now wear daily as a tribute to my love’s cause and a reminder of his sacrifice. I hadn’t had a need for armor, especially since I had already done every mission, quest, and favor I had in my journal, but while I was there I had heard rumors of a Strange Door appearing just off the coast of Bravil.
I had made my way there, believing this to be a way to distract me from my grief. When I had arrived, I was mesmerized by the large mushrooms and unknown flora. They looked like nothing I had ever seen before.
The door itself was much more a portal, appearing to be a purple Oblivion Gate, but instead of jagged rocks and sharp stone, it was inside a large mouth that belonged to an enraged face, which was surrounded by two more, each depicting a different emotion.
The man who came out of the portal attacked my, giving my no choice but to kill him. After his head was removed from his shoulders, the portal began speaking. I recognized the voice. It’s the same one I’ve heard every night in my dreams since that little adventure in Border Watch, a week after Martins death.
Sheogorath welcomed me into the Shivering Isles, saying that he required assistance and it was lovely this time of year. I am writing this outside the portal, having decided to wait until morning to enter, despite the guards constant attempts to convince me otherwise.
I see no reason not to, as there is nothing holding me here anymore. The Knights of the Nine no longer need me, as all of the artifacts have been recovered. There are no more Arena battles for me to fight in after I became the Arenas Grand Champion, Dragonheart. The Dark Brotherhood has been wiped from Cyrodiil by my own hand. The Thieves Guild has no more Grey Fox now that the cowl is no longer cursed. The Fighters and Mages Guilds run fine without me. And all of the Counts and Elder Council members treat me either like a glass vase that could break at any moment, or like a stain they can’t remove.
This plane isn’t my home anymore, not without him, so I will go through the portal and see what Sheogorath wishes from me.

I love writing about Joanelle's indirect impact on the side questline plots in oblivion. Her very public arrest and the ensuing reveal of university staff's involvement with her manufacturing of skooma caused one of the worst scandals the Cyrodiil Mage's guild had ever seen. Lots of mages got arrested, and the guild halls in Bruma, Bravil & Leyawiin lost good chunks of their members all along their ranks.

Hello! Currently working on answering your ask :) For the wonderful Nim :)
Morning Star - What was the first thing you gave your OC? Name, backstory, design, etc
Sun's Height - What is your OC's favourite shop, in any of the games; what do they buy the most of?
Evening Star - When is your OC's birthday?
From this set of OC asks.
Morning Star - What was the first thing you gave your OC? Name, backstory, design, etc
Nim wasn't my first HoK, probably my third or fourth (my first HoK was named after my dog, very original I know but I was 9). Her physical design has more or less looked like this— scrappy and disheveled, from humble origins. She had a different name, demeanor, and slightly different backstory when I first played he. It was changed and settled on only once I started writing her story, but she's always been an illusionist and a thief with a penchant for alchemy. Core traits I guess lol.
Sun's Height - What is your OC's favourite shop, in any of the games; what do they buy the most of?
Tavern - The Bloated Float on the Waterfront. Many Ten-Drake Tirdas' spent there with Amusei and Methredhel during her early days with the Thieves Guild. Idk if this counts as a shop, but when she first joined the Bravil Mages Guild, she spent a lot of time at Ardaline's alchemical desk (seriously, I camped out there for weeks in-game, gathering ingredients, levelling up alchemy and selling potions for big $$$). Those ramshackle swampy towns like Bravil and the Waterfront are very cozy. She feels right at home there.
Evening Star - When is your OC's birthday?
Second Seed. I chose it because I wanted emerald to be her birthstone as I think green suits her very well. I never determined an actual date, and realistically Nim wouldn't know it either since she was orphaned as a baby. She just chooses a different day every year to celebrate it when the weather is nice.
Thank you for the questions <3 I'm looking forward to reading your answers too :))

OCs - Who the hell is: Kellandra Rhiannon Lorinda Rue
Tumblr media
(A "short" Original Character primer)
➼ Universe:
TES IV: Oblivion (vanilla)
➼ What does she look like?
Rin, like many redguards, is tall, well-built, and has dark skin. She uses a combination of lye and citrus juice to bleach her hair, for backstory reasons.
She's most comfortable in her armour and tends to stick to the Knights of the Nine full-plate mail. However, when she's performing alchemy, she prefers to dress in whatever light robe or clothing is available. Usually, this is her Apprentice Robes (another stain or two won't make a difference), but she's also been known to wear the Light Blue Regalia too, as this is what she considers to be "civilian" clothing.
➼ What's she like?
Rin is very forthright, law-abiding and stern. However, she also has a penchant for not understanding sarcasm, being awkward in social situations, and taking instructions very literally.
Despite being very intelligent, she's not very worldly-wise (unsurprising due to her cloistered upbringing) so she's missing a lot of "common" knowledge. This cloistered upbringing and an abusive father also means she has some self-esteem issues, and often feels she's in the way or taking up time and resources that she shouldn't be.
➼ Who are the main important people in her life?
Marz – As the Healer in the Chapel of Mara, Marz is the one who taught Rin the basics of alchemy, against her father's wishes. Marz was also one of the few positive influences in Rin's early life, and Rin looked to her as a mother figure. Rin was devastated by her death at the hands of Umaril's Aurorans, far more so than when Rin learned of her father's death.
Methredhel – Rin and the thief became fast friends after going out for some "no hard feelings" drinks after their competition to get into the Thieves guild, and have remained close – and maybe a little more – ever since.
Baurus – As a fellow redguard whom she's "allowed" to become close with, Rin looks up to Baurus a lot and often takes his word on redguard culture as gospel.
➼ Can you give us a highlight reel of her life?
A foundling of Bravil, Rin was adopted as a toddler by Soliril 'Rue, a priest of Mara.
As soon as she could hold a broom, Rin's life was duty, subservience, and toil.
In her pre-teens, Soliril enrolled Rin in Castle Bravil's Junior Guards*, so learning weaponry and warfare were added to the already strenuous list of activities expected of her. It was here she saw the power of Alchemy in Marz's hands.
Rin didn't get the courage to speak to Marz about it for another few years. They spoke while at Chapel, and Rin was amazed at the power a few leaves and petals could have. Marz then began techning Rin in stolen moments.
Eventually, Marz thought Rin was good enough to enter the Mages guild. She spoke to Ardaline, the Bravil Chapter Alchemist on Rin's behalf. Ardaline, not knowing this was a secret, spoke to Soliril, who became furious that his "stupid" daughter was trying to learn magic. He flew into a rage and beat Rin. She fled the city and was caught on The Green Road trying to steal food from an Imperial Guard. He took pity on her distress at being taken back to Bravil, so she was dumped in an empty cell in the Imperial Prison.
After meeting Martin, she was plagued with nightmares of his death. That, and her sudden freedom, was what turned her from further helping in the Main Quest for a while. Instead, she finally joined the Mages guild. While in Anvil, she heard the prophet, and back in Bravil she looked through the mysterious door – but didn't stay long**. Likewise, she became ashamed of herself for being drawn by the allure of the Grey Fox and never got higher than Prowler. After taking the pilgrimage again, Rin turned her attention to the ever-growing threat of the Oblivion gates, eventually returning to Martin and joining the Blades in their fight.
* I don't have a better name for what this might be, so hush for now...
** I'm retconning a lot of stuff mentioned in Not Alone to better suit how the character has developed. At some point, I'll rewrite that story.
➼ What points in her life are you writing about?
From the start of the game forward. I haven't really felt inclined to write much about her backstory.
➼ Who is she in real-world development terms?
Rin is an offshoot of my main playthrough (Rowan/ This-Page-Left-Blank-HoK being the other). Over the past few years, Rin and Rowan have diverged considerably, and I now consider them to be very separate characters, each taking a different path through the quest lines.
As the two characters diverged, I realised Rin needed a real name. My character name in-game is Dru I (I somehow forgot this wasn't a hardcore game and I wouldn't need to re-roll a dozen characters and name them Dru II-XII), so I decided to reuse a name which has blessed many of my characters. Unlike the others, this K'Rin L'Rue prefers being known as Rin or Rhiannon. I don't yet have a good lore explanation for her long-ass name, though it could be related to the Aldmeri tradition of lengthy full names (even though her name is only passingly lore-friendly in that regard – if you tilt your head a squint a bit).
Re: Rin's unusual hair – I have a habit of setting my character's hair to be the lightest possible so I can find them in games, forgetting entirely that Oblivion is a First Person rather than a Top Down game, so I wanted to find a lore-friendly reasoning for why it's that colour... and ended up with racist father...

By Talos, This Can’t be Happening pt 23
Happy Tamriel Tuesday! The Fighter’s Guild is a joke!
Rated PG13 for: Blood, violence, sexual situations, bad puns, and other poor life decisions.
@cardwrecks @captainbaddecisions
                                                       ?~?~?~?~?
The cave was small, and showed all the hallmarks of being an abandoned mine. It was also surprisingly close to the city walls, and stuffed with goblins. Goblins that he and Sky waded through like specters of death. Surprised by their sudden presence, given no time to arm themselves, Swag almost felt bad about the slaughter. Some of them were even eating what could charitably be called dinner. Some of them were asleep.
But Swag didn't put too much emphasis on fair play in battle, and the discovery of new tunnels heading towards the city killed even that slight sympathy.
“You were saying something about boldness?” Swag gestured at the freshly excavated tunnels. He could see the foundation stones of the city walls at the end. “Looks like it was graduating into fucking audacity.”
“They were planning on raiding inside the city? Well. Looks like we've done Chorrol a favor.”
Stepping over bodies, they emerged back into the red moonlight.
“I hope your partner gets better soon.” Sky said.
“Leaving already?”
They followed the walls back around to the gate.
“I have to go to Kvatch. That one last thing I have to do. Maybe then I'll come back and join the mages. Maybe not. Just as likely I'll get lost again on the way.”
“Get lost a lot?”
She leaned against the wall, giving her katana another look over, to make sure it was properly clean, and Swag couldn't help wondering if Fantasy Japan existed here, or if it was mere convergent design. There were only so many ways to make a sword, after all.
“I left Black Marsh only a few weeks ago. I've never been outside the swamp. All this open space is easy to get lost in. I tried to go to Bravil, and ended up in the Imperial City. Tried to get to Chorrol, ended up in Cheydinhal. Then Bruma.”
“Oh, we were in Bruma for a bit.”
“Did you have to deal with the vampires?”
“Nah, we left before all that.”
“Well, there were no vampires. It was all a con. And it definitely set me back, time-wise. Kvatch is to the west, but we'll just see where I end up.”
“Well...” He said, sensing the time really had come. “Take care, Sky.”
“We'll see each other again. We're both too damn cursed not to.”
With that, she sheathed the sword, and stalked down the road. She didn't look back. Swag headed into the city. He also didn't look back.
He had what he'd set out for. Six seedheads for a boy's life. For Helix's life. He would feel awful for the farmer's son, but he wouldn't regret doing whatever he had to for her.
Back at the Mage's Guild, he headed downstairs immediately, stripping down and washing off with the now cold water basin. Slipping back into his comfortable black tunic, he perched in front of the complicated alchemical apparatus, carefully knocking seeds out of the bergamot heads, measuring out the ingredients, and tipping them into Helix's mortar.
He tried to crush them together very quietly-she was still asleep-succeeding in the creation of a gritty, but blended powder. Like when he'd dug up all that produce, he felt unreasonably proud. Poisons, chemicals, medicines, these had never been in his wheelhouse. But look, he could do it!
He poured the mix into a cup of white wine, stirred it up. It wasn't going to dissolve, and he couldn't imagine it tasting very good, but it was medicine.
Propping her carefully up in bed, he held the cup gently to her mouth, and she drank the whole thing, not even commenting on the taste. When she was well again, when she was well, he could imagine her patting his head, and kissing his cheeks, telling him what a good job he'd done. It welled up inside him, happiness over being able to help her in some small way.
Swag cradled Helix for a few more minutes, then grabbed a clean washcloth and began scrubbing the sweat off of her as well as he could, careful not to let the bed get wet. Then he wiped down his armor and cane-the wood was going to be stained, it was inevitable-and went upstairs to grab a late dinner.
Teekeeus was at the table, snout deep in a book.
“Hey, boss.” Swag greeted, and the lizardman looked up
“How does she fare?”
“Eh, she's pretty deep in it. Got the medicine, so we'll see.”
Teekeeus glanced around.
“Reflects-the-Sky?”
“She, uh, got called away. Might be awhile before we see her again.”
Teekeeus sighed.
“Perhaps she was not a good fit after all. In any case, we kept the stew warm for you.”
He gestured to a tureen with an ember beneath it.
“Oh, thanks man, this'll be great for both of us. Night!”
He slept hard, Helix's little body burning like a furnace against his skin, his dreams full of seeds sprouting in a field red as moonlight. She was still burning in the morning, when he made more medicine for her, and washed her off again.
Stepping out into the shade of the great oak, he spotted Dar-Ma singing, and the Dog Lady out with her pack. So peaceful. They hadn't even known there had been goblins right up against the walls. Swag sat on the bench next to the young Argonian.
“Good morning sir.” she greeted.
“Mornin' sunshine. How's things treating you?”
“I am well. I hear your lady has taken ill? Mother said you came looking for medicinal ingredients.”
“Yeah...she's come down with the Bonebreak. Nice healer at the chapel said she'll be alright with the medicine, but it's got me worried. She never really gets sick, so this is a surprise to me.”
“I could get more bergamot seeds for you.” Dar-Ma offered. “I intend to go out and gather the leaves later today anyway, and Mother also mentioned that she hadn't had any when you came by. Bonebreak isn't too common this far north, so we don't usually carry them, but with all the adventurers coming into town lately, it might be good to have a supply.”
“That's real sweet of you. I got my hands on some, but who knows? Maybe someone else will need them.”
“Maybe. Other than that, how did your adventure go?”
“Awful!” Swag exclaimed. “Yeah, we found a bunch of cool stuff, but not the thing we needed. And my girl got real roughed up, and I don't like that at all. I guess I...I kinda started getting' in my head that she was invincible. Sometimes it really seems like she is, but...”
Dar-Ma nodded sagely.
“Used to feel that way about my father.” she said, and the two of them sat in silence for a few moments after that.
A huge, olive green hand clapped down on his shoulder, demolishing the melancholy peace.
“You're coming with me, you skinny twerp!” Kurz gro-Baroth snapped. “You don't get to go around smearing the Guild's reputation like that!”
He yanked Swag off the bench, Dar-Ma leaping to her feet.
“Sir!?!” She cried in surprise.
“Vilena Donton requests his presence.” Kurz growled. “Don't sweat it kid. He's just another scoundrel.”
Dragging Swag behind him, taking all the jabbered insults and ineffective blows, the Orc opened the door to the nearby Fighter's Guild, and tossed him inside.
“Still won't take the killing blow.” Kurz grumbled at him.
“Didja really want me to?” Swag grumbled back. “What's the fuckin' deal, you behemoth stain? You just kidnapped me off the street! There was a witness!”
“Dar-Ma is a fine, upstanding young lady, and the sooner she's free of your miscreant influence, the better!”
“What did I fuckin' do?”
Vilena Donton cleared her throat. Kurz backed down.
“Edward Nigma. You agreed to the rules given when you first came to us.” She stated severely. “One of those rules was that no member of the Guild can have been jailed for lawbreaking for at least half a year. You were incarcerated in Bruma mere weeks ago, and did not see fit to mention it.”
“Oh. Yeah. Okay, well, first off-”
“No fast talking.” Kurz warned.
“Lemmie say my piece. I'm pretty sure kidnapping is lawbreaking too, slime breath. Anyway, that was all an accident. I didn't break any laws. A fight broke out, and it swept up everyone in the area. Guards came by and said stop; I stopped. But since they couldn't suss out for sure who was really responsible they tossed literally everyone in the hoosegow for a night. Since I wasn't actually arrested, and hadn't actually done anything, I didn't mention it. I see some other traveler did.”
Vilena pressed her mouth into a thin line.
“Very well. Neither story is provable or disprovable. Now about the Odiil job.”
“Job? Dude came up and asked us to help him out. I didn't even take any money from him.”
“That's not the point!” Kurz said.
“Kurz.” Vilena scolded. “That's not the point. The point is, he believed you to be Guild, and approached you in that faith. Also, his remaining son reported that you claimed Guild membership.”
“Am I not? I ain't popular, clearly, but I signed up, didn't I?”
“Perhaps we should have been more clear. Guild jobs come through us, they are not picked up individually, out in town. That way, we can determine which of us is the best fit for each job.”
“I'd have gone out with you.” Lum spoke up. “I can put down a handful of goblins, real quick and easy. I'm familiar with their tactics. And I wouldn't have bungled it so damn hard.”
“There was more than a handful! There was a damn horde of the things!” Swag protested. “And didn't you say yourself that sometimes you can't save everyone? Damnit, I tried, but there were so damn many! Whole damn cave of the little bastards! Don't tell me you could have handled that all yourself, it's bullshit!”
“Cave? What cave?” Kurz demanded.
“The old mine just outside the walls. They were trying to tunnel in. Me and Sky sorted them out, but they'd dug all the way to the foundations. I mean, fuck, If we hadn't gone out to the farm, they'd have probably broken into town by now.”
“Lum, I want you to go corroborate this.” Vilena said.
“I'll go too.” Viranus said, hopping up.
“No, you stay here. Lum can take care of this.”
Viranus sat back down reluctantly. Lum headed out without a word.
Swag sat, cross legged and irate on the hardwood floor.
“So what is it,huh? Am I a part of this, or am I not? I got Orc boy here tellin' me I'm not welcome, then I got you tellin' me I'm breakin' rules, which I can't do if I'm not welcome, and I got him tellin' me to leave since I'm not so comfy with murder, then I got you ordering him to drag me back in, and I got you tellin' me not to expect to be able to keep everyone alive all the time, and I got him tellin' me I shoulda held off a horde of monsters by myself. So what the fuck actually is it? I mean, I'm flexible, but ain't nobody can tie themselves in those kind of knots.”
Viranus scowled at him, but his mother just sighed.
“Do you actually want to be here?”
“Not right now, I fuckin' don't! I just wanna get some shit straight between us. And I'd really like to know if this gaping asshole is allowed to just snatch me off the streets whenever the fuck. Cause if he keeps doin' that shit, he ain't gonna have to wonder no more whether or not I'm capable of a killing blow!”
“Step up.” Kurz challenged. “I'll snap you in half, you puny-”
“All right, that's quite enough of that.” Vilena said. “I did not tell Kurz to get physical with you. Perhaps he should not have done that. Insults and petty threats won't get you anywhere either. You appear to be under considerable stress. As you have mentioned, your partner is recuperating. Maybe you should come back when she is well, and we can discuss things more in depth.”
Both Swag and Kurz sulked like angsty teenagers, but Swag got back to his feet.
“Yeah, I'll think about it. Until then, I won't consider myself a part of the Guild. Don't wanna make y'all look bad or anything.”
That last was said with acid as he left, storming down the main street. He needed to get more soup for Helix, and also to cool off before he went back to her. Poor baby was sick, she didn't need to deal with his bullshit.
He went to great lengths not to let her see his bad side. It was inevitable, of course; they'd known each other for over half a decade now, they had seen each other's flaws. But his temper could not be allowed loose around her, not ever. He'd laid chains on that rage for years...but it bubbled too close to the surface. He really was stressed out.
Soup. Delicious and nutritious, just what his sickly sweetheart needed, not some surly suitor. He could be better than that.
The sun was high when he returned, sufficiently calmed, and bearing soup. Anthragar was downstairs, the short elf mending Helix's torn skirt, and conversing softly with her as she dozed.
“Ah, look now, my dear.” he said quietly. “Your hero has arrived.”
“Yup. And I come bearing the treasure of Emfrid's wild mushroom and barley soup.”
“A grand treasure indeed. Well, let me leave you to your privacy.”
The elf vacated the room, kindly closing the door behind him.

what is your LEAST favorite city?
everyone rags on bravil and i get it but i find it kind of charming. and the bravil mages' guild ladies <3 markarth is such a fucked up nightmare zone that strangely it works the opposite way and makes me fond of it.
i'd say windhelm for myriad reasons but i kinda like the architecture and the house is pretty bangin even if the circumstances under which you get it are... well. ya know. so probably, despite Erandur being a redeeming feature, it's got to be Dawnstar. seems miserable, buildings aren't that cool.

Daedra of Kvatch Headcannons
I've decided to post some Headcannons of what I think the Hero of Kvatch is like in my AU. If you want more, or have any of your own, feel free to say something.
He has to have at least one signifier of his status as Sheogorath at all times, be it white hair, white eyes, the staff of Sheogorath or whatever.
He is usually a very fun person, being giddy if a bit Manic, but when those he loves or are sworn to protect are in danger, his enemies quickly learn why his realm is split in two.
He is constantly approached by mad men and women who sing his praises, give him offerings, state their prayers. He usually waves them off, telling them to go away, but when people aren't looking, he places his hand on their heads and tells them "may you find you place in New Sheoth" and leaves them to their madness.
He actively tries to hide his Godhood from the people of the Empire, could you imagine how they would feel knowing that their Hero and the husband of their Emperor was a Daedric Prince? And the Prince of Madness non the less.
He was made a General of the Imperial Legion because of his bravery while protecting his Emperor from the hordes of Daedra during the Battle of Bruma.
It becomes exceptionally hard for him, Martin, Ocato and Joeffre to hide his Godhood from the people.
During the Battle of Bruma, when the Daedra swarmed out of the gates, some of the Lesser Daedra, like Clannfear, Hungers, and Scamps, refused to attack him as they could sense his power and didn't understand that he was not their leader, but their enemy.
Also, during the Battle, when Martin got hit by a Dremora arrow HoK snapped. He summoned an army of Saints and Seducers to destroy the horde of Dremora.
He spent most of the Battle glued next to Martin, making sure no more arrows touched him as they were surrounded by a circle of Saints and Seducers, blocking the swords, laces, and axes of the Dremora.
HoK tells the people that his unnaturally white hair was caused by his mother being exposed to powerful magicks while she was with child, which also gave him his natural talent for Conjuration magick.
Some times, HoK's humanity disappears completely and he truly becomes Sheogorath. On these occasions, Martin doesn't sleep as he is kept up wondering whether he will see his love again.
At night, HoK will lie awake, Martin in his arms, thinking about the future. HoK is going to outlive his mortal husband, but can he really bear watching him die? Watching the person who you love more than anything die would be too much for even the God of Madness to handle.
The Elder Council is very critical of their relationship. Their main criticisms are 1. There is no way for Martin to have an heir. 2. HoK is clearly mentally unstable. 3. Why is HoK disappearing randomly? 4. Is it really safe to have such a powerful and insane Wizard be this close to the Emperor?
As the God of Madness, HoK goes through days where he suffers through a random mental illness or disorder, but on much high levels than anything a mortal would feel. Just imagine how bad the depression or anxiety would have to be to be considered crippling for a God.
Even before he was Sheogorath, HoK had bad anxiety, so when the Council criticizes him, he spends hours in his room wondering if they're right. If he's not fit to be Emperor. If hes not right for Martin. What if he keeps being Emperor and he loses control and accidentally destroys the city? Or worse, Martin.
The Strange Door was moved from Bravil to the Imperial City, being hidden inside HoK's chambers and disguised as a Magicka Font.
He actually joined the Mages Guild. It was mainly so he could back up his ploy of being a mage, but he also wanted to find any books he could on Sheogorath, Jyggalag, the Greymarch, Mantaling, and Daedric Princes.
He spends so much time in the Imperial City, that Haskill had joined the Elder Council and the Palace guards have had a few Saints and Seducers join their ranks posing as High Elves and Dark Elves.
He actually does want to have children with Martin, but he doesn't know if it's possible so he won't mention anything to him.
When Martin lit the Dragonfire, it caused a physical sickness to overtake HoK, Haskill, and all the Saints and Seducers in the Guards.
The official statement was food poisoning, but rumors had started to spread.
Martin stayed up all night, holding his beloved as HoK convulsed in pain, not being able to sleep because of it.
The only times Martin left his side was when he prayed to Akatosh to relieve his love of his suffering, to let him survive it.
This went on for 3 months but it had finally ended. HoK, Haskill and all of the Guards were perfectly fine, with no physical or spiritual side effects.
Martin was so grateful that he set up an altar to Akatosh inside his own bedchambers, right next to the one he has to Sheogorath.
Martin had HoK appoint 8 new members of the Elder Council so he would at least have some people with him. His choices were Haskill, the Dark Seducer Captain, the Golden Saint Captain, the Duke of Dementia Klarion, the Duchess of Mania Hyebe, the Champion of Cyrodiil, Relmyna Verenim, and Sheldon the Mayor of Passwall.
Count Janus Hassildor of Skingrad is the only person on tue Elder Council who isn't from the Shivering Isles, and isnt one of HoK's closest friends that knows of his title. The two share a mutual understanding with each other. HoK wont tell anyone about Janus being a vampire, and Janus won't tell anyone that HoK is Sheogorath.
The relationship between the two is made of the begrudging respect that HoK feels toeards Janus, and the fear and amazement that Janus feels towards HoK.
When the two first met, Martin asked HoK if him and Janus used to date by the way they were staring at each other. HoK told Martin the truth, but also told him that he had nothing to worry about. Martin found it hilarious that one of the Emperor's was a Daedric Prince and one of the Countss was a vampire. That was, after he stopped panicking.
HoK thought it best to not say anything about the Coumt of Anvil being the Grey Fox for a time. Dont want Martin burting a blood vessel or anything.
Thanks for reading, and like I said, if you want more just ask.
