Kuroo likes Halloween

He’s not super hyped up about it, but he loves playing scary pranks on his friends and then using Halloween as an excuse :)

He tells Lev and Inuoka that the boy’s toilet on the 2nd floor is haunted and do they believe him?? Absolutely, yes.

He doesn’t mind going on spooky dates, either!

In fact, he’ll drag you to watch a horror film or stay up all night exchanging scary stories

He would also probably take you and the team “ghost hunting” around the school after volleyball practice when it’s dark and no one’s around

Nerd boy with his nerd costumes

He doesn’t want to spend too much effort or money in a costume he’s only going to wear once this year, but he doesn’t want a lame costume, either

He’d love to get matching costumes with you!!

But all his suggestions will be either memey or nerdy costumes

The firsts that come to mind are the ‘woman screaming at cat’ (he’ll be the cat) or he’ll get you both matching t-shirts with the elements copper (Cu) and tellurium (Te) printed on them “so when we stand next to each other, everyone can see how CuTe we are”

He is also not opposed to character costumes like Rick and Morty or Hogwarts wizards/witches

Kuroo will go to a party with you and slip away for a while the second you both get there with no explanation and then very unsuspiciously hang around you all night

Later you find out he has signed you both up for the costume contest

The both of you are definitely not the best dressed ((read below: suga and his s/o)) but strut on the stage like it’s a fashion show

Or if you refuse to go up and participate because you were involuntarily signed up, Kuroo will still go up alone, pick up a microphone with a deadpan face and say “this is supposed to be a matching costume but there were some technical difficulties” you brought this on yourself, kuroo

Haunted houses and horror films are definitely his favourite things about Halloween!

I feel like Kuroo isn’t afraid of the ghosts and stuff, but he doesn’t handle being jumpscared well

When he gets shocked while in a haunted house or during a movie, he’ll yelp out a bunch of swears lmao

But he loves the temporary adrenaline rush and 10/10 will do it again

If you tease him and call him a scaredy cat, he’ll pout

And you can expect him trying to sneak up on you and scare you the next day

iwaizumi hajime

Iwa doesn’t care much for Halloween

He gets a little annoyed at all the Halloween-themed products that stores come out with because he thinks it’s just a marketing scheme to sell some overpriced shit (it is)

But if you want to go try out pumpkin desserts or visit a haunted house, he’ll indulge you just because he loves spending time with you no matter what you two end up doing

He’s usually not one to dress up for Halloween

The most he’s done is put on a t-shirt with a superhero logo on it 🙄

Oikawa has tried multiple years to get him in “matching best friend costumes” but Iwa has never once agreed

But if you pout a little a few weeks before Halloween, bribe him with some kisses, catch him in a good mood, he’ll say yes (make sure to say no takebacks)

Deciding on a costume consists of you giving suggestions and Iwa saying yes or no to them

He doesn’t want to do something very costume-y, he prefers to wear an outfit that can pass as a regular outfit but it’s based on a character from a movie or series

E.g. Kim and Ron from Kim Possible, Ash/Misty and Brock from Pokemon (Iwa would be perfect as Brock??? he’s already got the hair down fdkjs), Sandy and Danny from Grease (show off his arms yes)

Iwaizumi will go to a Halloween party because all his friends are going lol

Oikawa will be devastated when he sees Iwa wearing matching costumes with you and this is partly why he agreed to do it with you

He’ll keep you by his side or follow you around for most of the party because “the costume won’t make sense if he’s standing alone” or whatever sir just say you’re too shy to do it alone

If you want to stay home, he’s fine with it too

Whether you want to have a movie marathon, bake something, carve pumpkins, anything really, he’ll do it with you

Lowkey wants to watch scary films so he can “protect you” if you get scared

Like if you’re squeezing his arm during a scary scene he’ll be like “it’s not that scary, you wimp” but also he’s pulling you closer and putting his arm around you and his heart is fluttering-

so in conclusion: iwa is a simp for you

Bonus: one time you came over to his house and his mom showed you a picture of 6-year-old Iwaizumi dressed up as godzilla for Halloween💖

Halloween isn't his favourite holiday for um.. personal reasons

Once October comes around, Asahi is already being tormented by some of his friends (it’s suga) scaring him

He doesn’t despise everything about Halloween, though - in fact, there are some things he really loves about Halloween

Like going to a pumpkin festival, baking sweet treats together, enjoying a walk in the park with the pretty autumn scenery, or choosing and DIY-ing costumes

Asahi loves the costume planning with you!!

The both of you will take days or even weeks in advance finding the perfect costume and figuring out how to make them

He definitely prefers the cute costumes over gory costumes

Some of the costume ideas are Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, Cheshire Cat/Alice and the Mad Hatter/White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, or characters from the Wizard of Oz

i don’t know why all of these are from children’s fantasy stories im sorry-

You and Asahi will take turns going to each other’s houses after school or on weekends and working on your costumes together (It’s his favourite part (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ))

If he goes to a Halloween party, it’ll probably be a small gathering, such as a potluck with the Karasuno volleyball team

Everyone will be in awe of how cute you two look!!

If the team decides to switch off the lights and leave a flashlight on, gather around and tell spooky stories, he’ll want you next to him and you two will be holding onto each other

the first and second years are so jealous of their senpai and his cute s/o

Haunted houses are a no-no, sorry

Asahi doesn’t mind staying in either!

If you have a movie marathon, you guys binge Harry Potter or Studio Ghibli movies (they have magic so they’re Halloween movies right?)

Though if you’re a horror movie fanatic, he’ll try to watch a scary film with you

He will also have a lot of snacks! And the best hot chocolate you will ever have

I can also imagine Asahi doing your nails? And maybe he’ll let you do his nails too

You two make cute designs of little ghosts and pumpkins but don’t let each other see until it’s finished so it’s a surprise

You share lots of cuddles and kisses afterwards, and Asahi can’t wait to spend another sweet Halloween with you🥺🥰

Suga loves Halloween!!

It’s an excuse to have fun, cute dates under the guise of “keeping up the tradition”

Even before Halloween, he’ll take you on cafe dates to a different place each week to try out the pumpkin specials

You two will make jack-o-lanterns and then compare to see who did a better job, which could potentially end up in a tickle fight

This boy is going all out with the costumes!!

Maybe it’s the mom instincts, but he’s not settling on some cheap online/store-bought costume and he’ll DIY for both his s/o and himself

It’ll be an iconic couple and something very chic

Like you know Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka‘s family halloween costumes? That’s the vibes you two have

Examples of your costumes include: Morticia & Gomez from The Addams Family, Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask (plss)

Both of you will go to a halloween party, even if it’s just a few close friends gathering, and you two are gonna be the IT couple

your outfits and makeup will be on point all through the night and everyone will be so jealous💖

He’d probably take you trick or treating to a few houses for fun tbh HAHA

Your neighbours open up their front door to see.. Two grown ass children?? With costumes looking like they were professionally made??? Grinning and holding out their trick or treat bags?????

They’ll be so confused they end up giving you guys candy anyway

Suga is also a horror fanatic!

If you let him, he’ll drag you to a haunted house attraction

He’s the type to laugh at the scares :)

But he’ll hold your hand and let you cling to his arm if you’re scared, trying to reassure you

He’ll also arrange a horror movie marathon + sleepover!

After you get back, clean up and change into your comfiest pyjamas, Suga has already set up the living room

The couch is stacked with pillows and blankets, some of the lights are switched off, there’s a large bowl of popcorn and your trick-or-treat loot on the table and the movies are already queued on the TV

If you’re not a big fan of horror movies, he’ll opt for less scary but still Halloween-themed movies like Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas or Coraline (coraline’s kinda creepy but so good), or the “horror/thriller” movies that are just bad so you both can laugh at them

You and Suga snuggle under the blankets with pillows all around, munching on your snacks and watching the movies until you both fall asleep together

This is a difficult choice, because this are both great topics that I would really like to explore upon. I have been thinking about number 29 lately, so I'll go with that!

29. The one where your soulmate's ghost haunts you when they die.

------------

- The concept of your soulmate's ghost haunting their other half is a highly debated topic. As some truly believe in it, while others are skeptical and regard it as a myth. Generally, everyone hopes to not be haunted by the one they were supposed to be with, who would want that even?

- All of the original founding members of BF5 (Barring Sage) all die a year before the events of the first season in various different ways. Vert dies in a car race, Agura dies in an animal related incident, Zoom dies during his time running from the Order, Stanford dies from poisoning, and Sherman & Spinner die from electrocution.

- Unfortunately, they're one of the ghosts that gain amnesia upon death, unknowing of their previous life and why they are like this now. Too bad all they have company is this chamber that holds an red being inside.

- The Red Sentients are still conscious within their frozen state, and for some reason start seeing a floating figure near their chambers.

- Once they are released, the Red Sentients are initially confused and slightly hostile to the vapor like beings that followed a distance away but would disappear afterwards. They merely thought it was a malfunction within their systems and tried to fix it. However, the intruders still did not disappear.

- BF5 still don't have their memories and are following RS5 due to being drawn to them for some reason.

- Having enough of this mystery, RS5 decides to confront these beings by themselves, as they can only see one (or two in Krylox's case) of them. However, the confrontation really didn't end well enough for both parties, eventually escalating to the Reds to try and ignore BF5's existence, hoping that they would just end up leaving, but they didn't.

- Eventually, they do end up communicating more due to curiousity and do eventually bond to the point that RS5 does agree to try and figure out what BF5 are and why are they stuck in this situation.

- Meanwhile, Jack Wheeler is the one who finds Sage (He doesn't have the tracking device in this AU), and is pretty excited to come back to Earth for his family...Until he receives the news that is.

Bonus: (Wanted to add Acceleracers to the mix)

- BF5! Jack and Acceleracers! Jack are either siblings or twins that were close to one another to the point that they sometimes visited each other when they had the chance. BF5! Vert and Acceleracers! Vert grew up to the point of being like brothers.

- Unfortunately, when his brother suddenly disappeared and his wife's deteriorating mental health, Acceleracers! Jack did try to take in his nephew, but was too late and BF5! Vert got picked up by his mother's brother instead. Acceleracers! Jack and Vert didn't get to see him again until they were notified of his death.

- Tezla is getting haunted by Gelorum's Ghost.

- Tork is unsure whether or not if he's being haunted by Tone's Ghost, which he really hope he isn't.

Everyone's curious to know why, and as Iwaizumi discovers, some of his reasons are... unexpected.

An AU in which everything is mostly the same except Ushijima is a first year at Aoba Johsai and has a huge, looming crush on Iwaizumi. Words: 12,454 Chapters: 1/1 My notes: This should probably be rated T instead, but whatever. If you ever wanted to know how much of an awkward bastard both of them are when they’re into someone, this is your jam.

Point Blank by Karasuno Volleygays Tags: No Archive Warnings Apply, Future Fic, Brief (but pertinent) Mention of Homophobia, Slow Burn, Financial shenanigans, Scary Men with Guns, Minor Character Death Summary: Iwaizumi Hajime accepted a position at a company that was going places, and he knew he had a bright future ahead of him if he just kept his head down and worked hard — a future his family desperately needed him to achieve. Imagining these guys in regular jobs is strange, but kind of endearing when you get a feel for how they live their lives after volleyball.

This fic is wonderfully suspenseful, and perfect if you’re looking for something to keep you on the edge of your seat. I also had a lot of Han feels when reading this one. Overall it’s just really nicely well-rounded with heartfelt and genuine characterizations, good spooks, and some searing sexual tension.

I love Buzzfeed Unsolved. I love Kylux. I love this fic. A lot. As it says in the description, it’s not an exact Unsolved AU, but it really captured the format/feel of the “paranormal investigator” genre, so if you’re a fan of that, you’ll love this. Bonus points for some mutual pining and sugary fluff 👀👀

This fic hit me like a ton of bricks. This fic hit me like TWO tons of bricks. Start this one when you’re ready to be feeling it for a few days afterwards. It’s an incredible historical AU with magic and a great murder mystery--it basically pushes, like, all of my buttons. And it’s /genuinely/ spooky, I had to start keeping a light on while I read it. Oh, and it features definitely my favorite Millicent ever. If you’ve got the time for something long, go for this one.

Reach Out in the Darkness | unicornsandbutane

- E - 2/2 chapters, 9 321 words - Having spent a decent amount of time researching the history and folklore of Arkanis, Cadet Hux strikes out one chilly evening in search of some legendary creature that's supposed to be extremely powerful. If the myths aren't true, all he's wasted is time. But, if they are based in some actual fact, then what a boon such an entity would be to his cause. He doesn't know what he will find, but he is prepared for any (absolutely ANY) eventuality. -

Tentacle monster Kylo. I am unapologetic. It’s really good.

- Unrated - series, 3 works, 58 094 words, incomplete - Hux and Phasma have been running First Order Investigations since high school, and Dr. Snoke's metaphysical research graduate program seemed like the perfect opportunity to pursue their interests under the protective umbrella of academia. Unfortunately, that meant allowing Snoke's personal project, a taciturn medium named Kylo Ren, to join their team. Hux and Kylo mix like oil and water, or, more accurately, like fire and gasoline, and Hux is convinced that working effectively with Kylo is absolutely impossible. They hate each other, and Hux is content to leave it that way.

But then, a case in the sweltering heat of South Carolina begins to change things between them, and Hux finds himself questioning not only Kylo's feelings, but his own as well. -

Paranormal Investigator AU of the highest quality. The detail and thought put into each investigation site is incredible. I love this fic to pieces, and if you like ghost stories, you will too.

This one has got some of the most stunning, spooky visuals I’ve ever read. I could picture every scene and character so clearly. Plus, I love Hux’s characterization--he’s kind of a shit, and it’s beautiful.

Twenty-Six Weeks | @vmprsm

- E (eventually) - series, 4 works, 28 539 words, probably complete - Two mature adults need to do two things: live an a house with a stranger for six months, and keep their secrets to themselves. How hard could that be?

One of my favorite Halloween fics; it really encompasses the feel of fall/Halloween but also, like, good ol’ ~teenage bullshit~. There’s a lot of creepy Snoke stuff, some dealing with the fallout, and a nice hopeful ending :))

Ghost Encounters of the Hux Kind | carefulren

- T - 9/9 chapters, 25 610 words - Kylo purchases an old, abandoned house in order to get away from his family. He just wants the chance to be alone for a while, and he considers this house as the start of his new, isolated freedom.

THIS IS THE SWEETEST GHOST STORY. I love it so so much. The sweetness of their relationship set against the sad backdrop of both of their histories gives this one a really unique feel. And the ending is guaranteed to give you the warm fuzzies <3

The Change

Harry hadn't expected Joey to ask him to stay late to talk with him.

He would have thought that since it was Halloween, with the man's love of fantasy, he would have have been itching to get home in time to join the festivities.

Harry for one had just wanted to get home in peace and hopefully have a nice, quiet evening to himself. It never seemed to last very long before things went wrong for him, and he didn't want to test his luck on a Halloween. He hoped that whatever Joey wanted to talk to him about could be wrapped up quickly and he get home before something happened.

Henry (the worrywart that he was) had asked if Harry would be okay finding a way home afterwards, but he'd assured the man he would be fine. It wouldn't be too hard to hail a cab to his apartment building, and the landlady was used to him coming back late. Sillyvision members often had to keep extra hours to get their work done in time for the deadlines.

Harry had left his belongings in their places around his workstation and department coat area, deciding that he would collect them once he was done talking to his scatterbrained but well meaning boss.

Harry lightly knocked on the door to Joey's office, politely waiting to be called in.

"It's unlocked!" Harry carefully opened the door, green eyes peering in at his boss who was sitting at his desk looking through a bunch of papers. The blonde man looked up at him, his face brightening. "Ah, Harry! You came sooner than I expected!"

"Watcha Mr. Drew, you wanted to see me?" The blonde nodded, waving him in with a smile.

"Yes, Harry. Come in, come in! Have a seat, take a load off your feet. I made you a cup of tea, first time I've ever done that. Hope you don't mind that it's in a coffee mug." Harry gave smile, pushing up his glasses slightly, and shrugged.

"Not a problem, mate. I'm not picky about presentation." He sat in the chair, picking up the mug. He could tell by the feel of it that Joey had made the water too hot for him to drink yet without burning his tongue. He'd have to wait a bit before actually drinking it. "What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Ah, well, I found something of yours in the lunchroom the other day." Joey carefully pulled out a folder from his desk and laid it out. Harry froze when he spotted the papers in question. He knew those papers.

'Oh dear, those are the scripts I was writing that went missing.' he thought, his heart sinking. He had written the scripts to make fun of the last few episodes of their cartoons, putting in a happy ending for their Devil Darling instead of him being the butt of the story, and now his boss had found them. Was he going to be fired for them?

Joey smiled brightly at him, his blue eyes glittering, like he hadn't just sent the dark haired wizard into a well hidden panic.

"I wish you'd shown these to me earlier Harry, they're all very well done! If I had known that this was what you had in mind when you said you wanted to brighten up the show, I would have given the okay sooner!"

'What.' Harry was sure his disbelief showed on his face, but Joey didn't seem to pay any heed to it.

"With a Demon for a main character it's hard to come up with good stories for them that won't get shot down by the code, you know. But I think these scripts you wrote just might be able to get through them," Joey continued, shuffling through the scripts. "I want to make them into official episodes, but I think they need a little tweaking first. That's why I want to talk to you, I want to work out what can be changed so we can produce them."

Harry gaped at him.

"S-Sure. I don't have a problem with that." He muttered staring at his boss in disbelief.

"Excellent, let's start with this one here, "Haunted House Hangups". Let's talk about how it would go on screen..."

Harry found himself drawn into a long discussion about Bendy hiding from a rainstorm and being pranked by a ghost, only for the ghost to feel bad when Bendy starts crying. Then trying to make the little devil feel better after his scare. It had been a cute idea he'd gotten while watching some kids playing when he'd gone to the local park while the weather was still warm for his lunch break.

The tea tasted a little odd, he'd noted, but Harry couldn't tell if it was the brand, if the mug had previously held coffee in it, or how Joey had made it. So he didn't mention it, not wanting to offend his boss's hospitality.

Harry yawned into his sleeve for the third time in as many minutes.

"S-sorry, don't know why I keep yawning." It was odd, tea usually didn't make him drowsy, since it was usually his substitute for coffee. Joey waved it off.

"You've been working hard to meet theses past few deadlines, it's probably catching up with you. You can take a nap on my couch once we're done. I don't mind." Harry nodded, his eyes drooping slightly. Joey pushed a sheet forward, pointing at one of the lines on the page. "What about this scene here? What did you have in mind for it?"

Harry found himself downing the mug of tea rather quickly as he explained his thought process for the episodes to his boss. Finally setting the empty mug down, having finished his explanations, he leaned back in his seat to look at his boss. Harry was struggling to keep his eyes open, leaning heavily in the chair. Joey watched him for a moment, an odd look on his face that Harry wasn't up to deciphering right then.

"You look really tired Harry, why don't you take that nap now? I can wake you before it gets too dark out. I could even call a cab for you, if you'd like." Harry nodded drowsily, stumbling to his feet. Joey darted forward, bumping the side of his desk in his haste, catching the wizard before he could fall over. Normally, Harry would have tried to shake him off, but he didn't think he could make it to the couch without help.

"Come on then Harry, let's get you over to that nice, comfy couch." Joey said, letting the drowsy teen lean against him as they crossed the short distance to the couch. Harry swiped half-heartedly him, then slumped onto the piece of furniture in question.

Harry was asleep almost as soon as his head hit the cushions.

~~B~E~N~D~Y~~H~A~R~R~Y~~

Joey waited until he was sure Harry was in a deep sleep before acting, then he carefully pulled the small British teenager into his arms. (Harry had always been small, smaller than most suburb raised teens) One arm slid under his back, while the other hooked under his knees and he lifted him up.

"Sorry about drugging your tea, Harry, but I don't think you would have agreed with my plan if I tried to ask you about it." Joey said conversationally, adjusting his grip so he could carry him out the door more easily. "But I do mean well by this. I think you would even thank me for it later."

The sleeping teen didn't respond to him, his breathing remaining slow and even. Not that Joey had expected any different, what with the strength of the drug he'd slipped into the drink.

Honestly he was surprised Harry had stayed awake as long as he had. He'd expected the teen to doze off halfway through their discussion, not after they'd finished it. Not that he'd minded, since it let them actually finish prettying up Harry's scripts for the show.

"You're such a secretive person, too! It took me forever to figure out you were magical. That's why I needed you for this." He continued, wandering down the hallways. There was no real point the talking to Harry right then, but pretending to explain himself to the teen made him feel a little better about what he was doing. "Well, not so much you specifically, Harry, but someone with magic. And you're the only person I know of who has magic that I know of."

There was a clatter and Joey nearly dropped his burden in alarm. Henry hadn't decided to stay and wait for Harry, had he? His friend had become rather protective of the teen (Almost fatherly to him) which had lead to Joey having to be extra careful getting Harry alone to pull this off. He glanced around, not spotting anyone in the hall besides himself and his sleeping burden.

He couldn't help checking the face of the dozing teen, despite knowing there was no way the teen could have woken up. And he relaxed

That was it, Harry's glasses were no longer sitting on his face. They must have fallen off and that was what had made the noise. He considered taking a moment to find them, but decided against it. It didn't matter if they were gone.

"I suppose that's one thing you would thank me for if you could, you won't be needing those horrible glasses of yours anymore." Joey said with a chuckle, shifting Harry's head so that it was resting against his shoulder instead of lolling back like before. A bad move on his part, carrying him like that would have given Harry a painful crick in his neck.

Joey strode into the Ink Machine room, glancing around to make sure everything was still in place for the ritual he had spent most of the month planning. Moving to one side, he carefully laid the teen down and set to work. He needed to make sure everything was ready and set up everything that wasn't, and he had to do it before Harry could wake.

Firstly, he had to move the tarp he used to cover the ritual circle he'd draw on the floor under the Machine's nozzle.

He thought hiding it like that was one of his cleverer ideas. All he'd had to do to keep people from being suspicious was claim he was trying to lessen the number of spills in the animation department, as well as keep the ink from being wasted. He'd had to put a few more tarps up around the building to lend the story credit, but it had worked. The fact that it had actually helped with some if the messes had been an unexpected bonus.

He carefully pulled off the tarp, rolling it up and shoving in to one of the enclaves in the back of the room.

Moving over to the dresser next, he pulled out a number of small jars filled with various ingredients, some candles or varying colors, a box of matches, a silver bowl and a silver knife. He gently poured some of the ingredients into the silver bowl, setting it down next to the circle. Followed by setting up the unlit candles around the edge of the circle, making sure they were all sitting stably and wouldn't fall over during the ritual.

He moved back to the sleeping teen, lifting him once more and laying him in the center of the circle. Joey lifted one of Harry's hands, carefully picked up the knife and cut the sleeping boy's palm, making sure the blood dripped into the mixture in the bowl. He set Harry's hand on his chest, making sure no blood fell on the ink circle itself.

Joey lit all the candles and started his chant, watching as the flames started flickering strangely in the otherwise still room. Shifting the levers on the machine so a drip would start, he pulled out a previously filled bottle of ink and poured it into the bowl, watching the circle seem to glow slightly in the low light.

Something in the air changed, and Joey could see the ink dripping into the circle start moving towards the sleeping person in it's center. The flames grew brighter, and Joey had to squint to keep his eyes on the ritual (he wouldn't look away, he couldn't). Joey wasn't sure how long he kept going, but his throat had become sore, the air had become heavy with magic (he was sure) and Harry had been completely obscured by the ink at one point.

But when the ritual was done, the candles had almost burned almost all the way down and a much smaller form lay in the center of the circle. Joey unlit the candles and crept over to the sleeping form on shaking legs.

It had worked. Now, laying in play of his voice actor, was Bendy the Darling Devil himself, eyes closed in a peaceful sleep.

Joey knelt down, carefully gathering the sleeping toon into his arms. He wasn't quite on model, the toon in his arms had a long spade tipped tail and a slightly more pinkish face than the one on his model sheets, but... Joey let out a sigh and smiled.

Bendy was okay, nothing had gone wrong or hurt him during the ritual. He was okay.

He gently tucked the toon against him and headed back to his office. He would have to stay the night to make sure Bendy was completely alright. (He wouldn't want something to go wrong that he could have prevented. Not after what he had done to get little Bendy to the real world in the first place.) The little errors could be explained away easily with a slight edit to his toon models, and the tail would be perfect for gags in later cartoons.

He cupped the side of Bendy's head, gently turning his face to better look at him. He paused, spotting a small crack of some kind by the little toon's brow.

It looked a little like a simplified version of the lightning bolt scar that had been by Harry's brow. It was an unexpected feature, but Joey supposed it must have had something to do with magic. Perhaps Harry had gotten it in some accident involving magic? Something that would have made it a defining feature for him? It seemed possible.

It wasn't a bad feature for the little devil, now that it was there. Perhaps he ought to have some kind of explanation for it to be woven into the show? He would have to think about it.

~~B~E~N~D~Y~~H~A~R~R~Y~~

He stirred slowly, shifting on the soft surface he was laying on. Something was off, different. But what?

He blinked open his eyes, slowly pushing himself up (a couch? Why was he laying on a couch?), the jacket that had been laid over him sliding off. He looked down at his hands, he had gloves on, with buttons on the back and only three fingers and a thumb (Why? That didn't feel right). He squeezed his eyes shut, pressing the heels of his hands against the back of his eyelids.

He felt dizzy, why did he feel dizzy? Where was he? What had happened to him? (Why didn't he feel right?)

Something behind him twitched, and he pulled his hands away from his face. Looking back he saw a long, whip-thin, spade tipped tail poking out from under the coat. Did he… Did he have a tail? He… Was he supposed to have a tail? (No, something wasn't right here)

His head felt fuzzy. What was going on? Why did he feel this way?

"You're a awake." A voice breathed out, sounding amazed. He turned, spotting a tall man standing a few feet away from him. He curled in on himself, tail wrapping around his legs, pressing himself into the cushions of the sofa. A kindly smile crept over the man's face, and he slowly came over, kneeling closer. "You're really awake. I didn't think you would wake up so soon. I'm Joey Drew."

"Welcome to the real world Bendy."

Part 3 / ?, wherein they go camping, much to Kinshirou’s dismay.

This is a long, image-heavy post. I’ve had it ready since like December but I never bothered to post it until now because I stopped playing the game for a while and I’m lazy. If you’re reading this on my blog and it’s done the obnoxious thing where it doesn’t show readmores, just click the date <3

You probably don’t remember where we left off because it’s been ages since the last post. I didn’t remember either. En had just gotten his second promotion in a few days; the game continued to insist on sending him home from work in an awkward outfit on promotion days. Kinshirou had just published his etiquette manual, and I had finally learned how to keep Atsushi from being miserable when he got home from work. However, En and Atsushi’s work schedules still kept them from spending much time together as a group.

En’s latest work of art is a beautiful, subtle masterpiece. I know that because I, an ignorant philistine, see the art of a 6-year-old, but an art gallery was interested enough to pay $50 more than he usually gets for large paintings.

This is kind of sweet, but he and En aren’t even engaged yet. Calm down, Kinshirou. It’s amazing how well the game knows them asd;lfk

Atsushi has been promoted to caterer!! A $10/hour raise so that his hourly wage is no longer a pittance, a $368 bonus, and a coffeepot. His work hours start an hour earlier and end two hours earlier, which still isn’t very good :\ but look, he’s so proud of himself.

To get to the next level of his career, he has to start learning to mix drinks. I’ve dreaded this moment because the last time I bought someone a bar to level mixology, they never wanted to do anything else again except mix drinks. I took it away in the end.

Kinshirou wakes up, sees that En’s gone, and goes to find him in the bathroom just so that he can kiss his cheek.

Since he’s awake now anyway, En paints an Enatsu painting and then a Kinatsuen painting, one after another. I can’t bring myself to sell either of them. The Kinatsuen one is going to stay where it is, but I’m putting the Enatsu one in Atsushi’s room, because it’s kind of bare at the moment.

En’s suave kiss is different than Kinshirou’s was. I assume it’s because he and Atsushi aren’t boyfriends yet? But Atsushi still seems charmed.

And now that they’ve drawn my attention to that oversight, Atsushi asks En to be his boyfriend.

You can imagine your own dialogue here. You’re all so dirty-minded.

En is into it, though.

He immediately kisses Atsushi on the cheek. I’m glad all the Sims think that’s as cute as I do.

Now they can all go on a much-deserved(???) vacation :D En and Atsushi have to take some vacation days to do it, but they want to spend some time together as a triad.

They’re going camping! For four days. It’s cheap, and they’re still a little broke. En and Atsushi are nervous, but willing to give it a try. Kinshirou...

..yeah.

Their home away from home. There are cabins and houses you can rent, but... like I said. They’re broke.

Kinshirou decides to start his vacation by practicing horseshoes. If this is all they have for entertainment, he’s going to master it.

But En doesn’t like that attitude.

En: Come on, cheer up, it’ll be fun. Kinshirou: Hmm... Maybe so, then.

Kinshirou: ...but I’ll still win at this game. Move.

As you can see behind them, Atsushi has been setting up their tents.

He’s also the only one to introduce himself to the park ranger. In other words, he continues to be the only useful Sim.

En is a miracle worker wtf

Once Atsushi’s done the boring stuff, he can join his boyfriends and spend his time being cute and flirty, as was the point of this vacation.

Kinshirou lights the fire for no reason. You’d think after part two, he’d have seen enough fire.

En... get up. What if Atsushi drops that horseshoe?

He does get up, finally. He has important painting to do.

Yes, I did add the easel to the lot before I brought them here. This vacation is costing $3 more per night than it otherwise would have.

So much excitement for a mediocre toss. And Atsushi can’t pretend to be impressed because he’s besieged by bugs.

Maybe En is trying to develop a style reminiscent of a young child’s?

Meanwhile, Kinshirou is still struggling with horseshoes.

So it’s easy, but you’re still bad at it? Got it.

Atsushi reassures him until he’s not embarrassed anymore...

...so now snobbish boredom is his dominant emotion. Look at that face. Why does anyone tolerate him?

If you’re wondering where En went, he’s taking a shower in here.

En is drawn back by the promise of Atsushi’s excellent-quality(!!) baked potatoes. They’re sparkling! Atsushi’s so happy :D

Happy boyfriends, although Atsushi is again plagued by bugs.

Help him

Kinshirou wanders off in the middle of a conversation and goes to sleep. En is glad to have an excuse to do to the same.

Atsushi goes to the bathroom, but doesn’t return. When I check on him, I find him like this:

He’s stargazing. <3 But that’s not the spot I would have chosen, myself.

The next morning, Atsushi happily makes breakfast. He seems to be moving past any fire-related trauma from his near-death experience in part two.

Kinshirou also goes to the bathroom and doesn’t return. When I find him, not only is he making unnecessary food, he’s making exactly the same thing as Atsushi, except

wth a lot less skill behind it.

He burns himself. :c Just go eat breakfast with the others, Kinshirou.

Kinshirou: En, isn’t Atchan wonderful? He makes the best food, and he’s always so kind...

En: Yeah, you’re right. Atsushi’s great.

Atsushi looks so embarrassed... Change the subject, guys.

They’ve ventured out to the national park! They’re learning how to fish in case Atsushi ever wants to use fish in a meal.

They keep gaining friendship with each other and with this girl, even though none of them have said a word. Maybe words aren’t necessary when you’re fishing buddies.

Kinshirou catches two fish before either of the others catch anything. So when Atsushi catches one...

...he’s super excited.

Finally, to En’s incredulous annoyance, it becomes clear that he won’t catch anything in that spot.

Poor En-chan.

...poor En-chan.

There, back to normal.

Before they give up altogether on En learning to fish, they’ll try this one other spot. I just really want En to learn how to fish a;lskjf ...but the fish are too crafty for him here, too.

This is the face of a man who no longer cares.

Catching the fish made Atsushi confident, so he decides that En will be real impressed if he shows off his muscles. ...It’s sweet of En to humor him.

I see you back there, bear man. Fuck off.

I said fuck off.

If the last screenshot had you wondering, Kinshirou is telling an unbelievable story.

God damn it they’re all tense now

Kinshirou mocks the bear costume because I’m annoyed he’s annoyed about the situation. Then the three of them leave, so that they aren’t tense anymore.

Atsushi cooks his fish while En entertains them all with an adventure story :D

He follows up with a ghost story. Atsushi hangs on his every word.

Kinshirou chooses to find it amusing.

................ I forgot that ghost stories summon ghosts.

Oops.

He doesn’t stay long, though. The ghost that haunts the picnic table...

What has En done?!

En: Holy shit, my bad. Kinshirou: Well done, En. Good job.

Atsushi, in the background, is preoccupied. He’s exposing himself to the source of his fears in order to lessen the fear. No ghosts will get in the way of his exposure therapy.

They go back to their campsite, where the ghost is not. Kinshirou hopes that if he goes to sleep, he’ll be less freaked out about the ghost in the morning. En has other ideas for how to dispel his tension. Atsushi never even noticed the ghost to begin with, but he’s happy to go along with En.

...at which point I remember that this is the first Enatsu WooHoo! Congrats, guys. They get a happy moodlet from good WooHoo, as well, like En and Kinshirou did that once (except theirs was from “spectacular” WooHoo but ok whatever).

Kinshirou and Atsushi have never had a WooHoo so good they got a happy moodlet. I guess En is just really good at WooHoo.

Morning activities c:

Atsushi made this meal twice and it was poor quality both times. Fish tacos 2.0. At least he’s not so heartbroken about it this time.

This screenshot has no narrative value. I just thought it was cute.

The food was so bad it made them all feel sick... Oh, well. Atsushi is still learning.

En... I know you’re a slob, but there are limits...

“From the moist depths of the trash, En has recovered: 1 baconite.” Congratulations, En. Was it worth it.

It wouldn’t be a Kinatsuen Sims post without a screenshot of Atsushi looking distressed. This is why I put you in your tent to relax, Atsushi!! Just rest for a little while, you’ll feel better soon.

He takes it out on the bugs instead. I guess that works too.

Kinshirou, you worry too much. Atsushi liked it, see? It looks like I spoke too soon about no happy moodlets from Kinatsu WooHoo, although it’d have been nice if they’d both gotten it.

But Kinshirou must not be too mortified, because he accepts Atsushi’s offer to be BFFs.

...and only afterwards did I realize that you can’t have multiple BFFs, and there’s no mod to make it possible. I guess it doesn’t matter too much, but poor En.

This is the only couple that hasn’t WooHooed in a tent yet. They should have a turn.

...but really that’s only an excuse to get them doing something else so that Atsushi can wander off and harvest wild things guilt-free. I want him to learn herbalism.

He identifies things by eating them, which makes me nervous. But the WooHoo back there seems to be going well.

lol.

Kinshirou now has two concurrent WooHoo moodlets. I’m proud of him.

Desperate for culture and civilization, he decides to view this big statue. But the bugs have other plans.

Dont look so resigned, En. Maybe it’ll go better this time.

(It did go better! He caught a fish. But I was following Kinshirou around in his herbalism journey and missed it.)

This again... If they can’t learn that every time you poke a fire with a stick, the stick catches fire, maybe they should just stay away from fire.

Because En is a lazy Sim, he doesn't jog when he has to go long distances like the other two do. As a result, it takes him a million years to go places. They all started to head back to the campsite at the same time, but Atsushi has already cooked and eaten dinner, and Kinshirou has burned a stick as well, by the time En deigns to show up.

After dinner, Atsushi asks Kinshirou to go stargazing. <3

There aren’t many screenshots for the next day because they don’t do much of anything interesting. That’s largely because they sleep very late.

This is not the time to hit on Atsushi. Atsushi is fighting the eternal battle against the bugs.

Or so I would have said, but whatever En does here, he manages to get Atsushi’s attention.

...then he turns and starts talking to Kinshirou asldjkf

Atsushi: Hey... En-chan... I’m still up for... you know... you didn’t forget already, did you?

They all keep rolling whims to get married to each other but hey don’t have enough money or friends for a nice wedding yet asdl;jfk and they would be sad in the end if they had the quick, boring type of Sim wedding. They’ll have to daydream quietly about it for a little while longer.

En ends the trip with another story. Not a ghost story this time, though. He learned his lesson. This is a fairytale. Soon afterwards, when he and Kinshirou are stargazing, Kinshirou gets homesick :C Poor baby, he’s not meant for camping.

The next day, without fanfare or screenshots, they head home. I think their vacation was good for them, but Atsushi has no vacation days left, so lets hope he doesn't set himself on fire again before he earns another one.

Will they ever get to see the community lots built and chosen especially for them? Will they get a cat? Will I, in fact, pick up The Sims again at all? When in the world will En and Atsushi have compatible work schedules so that they don’t have to run away into the wilderness to be together? Only time will tell.

Epilogue:

The lion is En’s idea of a painting that inspires confidence.
