Part 3 / ?, wherein they go camping, much to Kinshirou’s dismay.

This is a long, image-heavy post. I’ve had it ready since like December but I never bothered to post it until now because I stopped playing the game for a while and I’m lazy. If you’re reading this on my blog and it’s done the obnoxious thing where it doesn’t show readmores, just click the date <3

You probably don’t remember where we left off because it’s been ages since the last post. I didn’t remember either. En had just gotten his second promotion in a few days; the game continued to insist on sending him home from work in an awkward outfit on promotion days. Kinshirou had just published his etiquette manual, and I had finally learned how to keep Atsushi from being miserable when he got home from work. However, En and Atsushi’s work schedules still kept them from spending much time together as a group.

En’s latest work of art is a beautiful, subtle masterpiece. I know that because I, an ignorant philistine, see the art of a 6-year-old, but an art gallery was interested enough to pay $50 more than he usually gets for large paintings.

This is kind of sweet, but he and En aren’t even engaged yet. Calm down, Kinshirou. It’s amazing how well the game knows them asd;lfk

Atsushi has been promoted to caterer!! A $10/hour raise so that his hourly wage is no longer a pittance, a $368 bonus, and a coffeepot. His work hours start an hour earlier and end two hours earlier, which still isn’t very good :\ but look, he’s so proud of himself.

To get to the next level of his career, he has to start learning to mix drinks. I’ve dreaded this moment because the last time I bought someone a bar to level mixology, they never wanted to do anything else again except mix drinks. I took it away in the end.

Kinshirou wakes up, sees that En’s gone, and goes to find him in the bathroom just so that he can kiss his cheek.

Since he’s awake now anyway, En paints an Enatsu painting and then a Kinatsuen painting, one after another. I can’t bring myself to sell either of them. The Kinatsuen one is going to stay where it is, but I’m putting the Enatsu one in Atsushi’s room, because it’s kind of bare at the moment.

En’s suave kiss is different than Kinshirou’s was. I assume it’s because he and Atsushi aren’t boyfriends yet? But Atsushi still seems charmed.

And now that they’ve drawn my attention to that oversight, Atsushi asks En to be his boyfriend.

You can imagine your own dialogue here. You’re all so dirty-minded.

En is into it, though.

He immediately kisses Atsushi on the cheek. I’m glad all the Sims think that’s as cute as I do.

Now they can all go on a much-deserved(???) vacation :D En and Atsushi have to take some vacation days to do it, but they want to spend some time together as a triad.

They’re going camping! For four days. It’s cheap, and they’re still a little broke. En and Atsushi are nervous, but willing to give it a try. Kinshirou...

..yeah.

Their home away from home. There are cabins and houses you can rent, but... like I said. They’re broke.

Kinshirou decides to start his vacation by practicing horseshoes. If this is all they have for entertainment, he’s going to master it.

But En doesn’t like that attitude.

En: Come on, cheer up, it’ll be fun. Kinshirou: Hmm... Maybe so, then.

Kinshirou: ...but I’ll still win at this game. Move.

As you can see behind them, Atsushi has been setting up their tents.

He’s also the only one to introduce himself to the park ranger. In other words, he continues to be the only useful Sim.

En is a miracle worker wtf

Once Atsushi’s done the boring stuff, he can join his boyfriends and spend his time being cute and flirty, as was the point of this vacation.

Kinshirou lights the fire for no reason. You’d think after part two, he’d have seen enough fire.

En... get up. What if Atsushi drops that horseshoe?

He does get up, finally. He has important painting to do.

Yes, I did add the easel to the lot before I brought them here. This vacation is costing $3 more per night than it otherwise would have.

So much excitement for a mediocre toss. And Atsushi can’t pretend to be impressed because he’s besieged by bugs.

Maybe En is trying to develop a style reminiscent of a young child’s?

Meanwhile, Kinshirou is still struggling with horseshoes.

So it’s easy, but you’re still bad at it? Got it.

Atsushi reassures him until he’s not embarrassed anymore...

...so now snobbish boredom is his dominant emotion. Look at that face. Why does anyone tolerate him?

If you’re wondering where En went, he’s taking a shower in here.

Atsushi’s first attempt at grilling!

En is drawn back by the promise of Atsushi’s excellent-quality(!!) baked potatoes. They’re sparkling! Atsushi’s so happy :D

Happy boyfriends, although Atsushi is again plagued by bugs.

Help him

Kinshirou wanders off in the middle of a conversation and goes to sleep. En is glad to have an excuse to do to the same.

Atsushi goes to the bathroom, but doesn’t return. When I check on him, I find him like this:

He’s stargazing. <3 But that’s not the spot I would have chosen, myself.

The next morning, Atsushi happily makes breakfast. He seems to be moving past any fire-related trauma from his near-death experience in part two.

Kinshirou also goes to the bathroom and doesn’t return. When I find him, not only is he making unnecessary food, he’s making exactly the same thing as Atsushi, except

wth a lot less skill behind it.

He burns himself. :c Just go eat breakfast with the others, Kinshirou.

Kinshirou: En, isn’t Atchan wonderful? He makes the best food, and he’s always so kind...

En: Yeah, you’re right. Atsushi’s great.

Atsushi looks so embarrassed... Change the subject, guys.

They’ve ventured out to the national park! They’re learning how to fish in case Atsushi ever wants to use fish in a meal.

They keep gaining friendship with each other and with this girl, even though none of them have said a word. Maybe words aren’t necessary when you’re fishing buddies.

Kinshirou catches two fish before either of the others catch anything. So when Atsushi catches one...

...he’s super excited.

Finally, to En’s incredulous annoyance, it becomes clear that he won’t catch anything in that spot.

Poor En-chan.

...poor En-chan.

There, back to normal.

Before they give up altogether on En learning to fish, they’ll try this one other spot. I just really want En to learn how to fish a;lskjf ...but the fish are too crafty for him here, too.

This is the face of a man who no longer cares.

Catching the fish made Atsushi confident, so he decides that En will be real impressed if he shows off his muscles. ...It’s sweet of En to humor him.

I see you back there, bear man. Fuck off.

I said fuck off.

If the last screenshot had you wondering, Kinshirou is telling an unbelievable story.

God damn it they’re all tense now

Kinshirou mocks the bear costume because I’m annoyed he’s annoyed about the situation. Then the three of them leave, so that they aren’t tense anymore.

Atsushi cooks his fish while En entertains them all with an adventure story :D

He follows up with a ghost story. Atsushi hangs on his every word.

Kinshirou chooses to find it amusing.

................ I forgot that ghost stories summon ghosts.

Oops.

He doesn’t stay long, though. The ghost that haunts the picnic table...

What has En done?!

En: Holy shit, my bad. Kinshirou: Well done, En. Good job.

Atsushi, in the background, is preoccupied. He’s exposing himself to the source of his fears in order to lessen the fear. No ghosts will get in the way of his exposure therapy.

They go back to their campsite, where the ghost is not. Kinshirou hopes that if he goes to sleep, he’ll be less freaked out about the ghost in the morning. En has other ideas for how to dispel his tension. Atsushi never even noticed the ghost to begin with, but he’s happy to go along with En.

...at which point I remember that this is the first Enatsu WooHoo! Congrats, guys. They get a happy moodlet from good WooHoo, as well, like En and Kinshirou did that once (except theirs was from “spectacular” WooHoo but ok whatever).

Kinshirou and Atsushi have never had a WooHoo so good they got a happy moodlet. I guess En is just really good at WooHoo.

Morning activities c:

Atsushi made this meal twice and it was poor quality both times. Fish tacos 2.0. At least he’s not so heartbroken about it this time.

This screenshot has no narrative value. I just thought it was cute.

The food was so bad it made them all feel sick... Oh, well. Atsushi is still learning.

En... I know you’re a slob, but there are limits...

“From the moist depths of the trash, En has recovered: 1 baconite.” Congratulations, En. Was it worth it.

It wouldn’t be a Kinatsuen Sims post without a screenshot of Atsushi looking distressed. This is why I put you in your tent to relax, Atsushi!! Just rest for a little while, you’ll feel better soon.

He takes it out on the bugs instead. I guess that works too.

Kinshirou, you worry too much. Atsushi liked it, see? It looks like I spoke too soon about no happy moodlets from Kinatsu WooHoo, although it’d have been nice if they’d both gotten it.

But Kinshirou must not be too mortified, because he accepts Atsushi’s offer to be BFFs.

...and only afterwards did I realize that you can’t have multiple BFFs, and there’s no mod to make it possible. I guess it doesn’t matter too much, but poor En.

This is the only couple that hasn’t WooHooed in a tent yet. They should have a turn.

...but really that’s only an excuse to get them doing something else so that Atsushi can wander off and harvest wild things guilt-free. I want him to learn herbalism.

He identifies things by eating them, which makes me nervous. But the WooHoo back there seems to be going well.

lol.

Kinshirou now has two concurrent WooHoo moodlets. I’m proud of him.

Desperate for culture and civilization, he decides to view this big statue. But the bugs have other plans.

Dont look so resigned, En. Maybe it’ll go better this time.

(It did go better! He caught a fish. But I was following Kinshirou around in his herbalism journey and missed it.)

This again... If they can’t learn that every time you poke a fire with a stick, the stick catches fire, maybe they should just stay away from fire.

Because En is a lazy Sim, he doesn't jog when he has to go long distances like the other two do. As a result, it takes him a million years to go places. They all started to head back to the campsite at the same time, but Atsushi has already cooked and eaten dinner, and Kinshirou has burned a stick as well, by the time En deigns to show up.

After dinner, Atsushi asks Kinshirou to go stargazing. <3

There aren’t many screenshots for the next day because they don’t do much of anything interesting. That’s largely because they sleep very late.

Kinshirou, pls

This is not the time to hit on Atsushi. Atsushi is fighting the eternal battle against the bugs.

Or so I would have said, but whatever En does here, he manages to get Atsushi’s attention.

...then he turns and starts talking to Kinshirou asldjkf

Atsushi: Hey... En-chan... I’m still up for... you know... you didn’t forget already, did you?

They all keep rolling whims to get married to each other but hey don’t have enough money or friends for a nice wedding yet asdl;jfk and they would be sad in the end if they had the quick, boring type of Sim wedding. They’ll have to daydream quietly about it for a little while longer.

En ends the trip with another story. Not a ghost story this time, though. He learned his lesson. This is a fairytale. Soon afterwards, when he and Kinshirou are stargazing, Kinshirou gets homesick :C Poor baby, he’s not meant for camping.

The next day, without fanfare or screenshots, they head home. I think their vacation was good for them, but Atsushi has no vacation days left, so lets hope he doesn't set himself on fire again before he earns another one.

Will they ever get to see the community lots built and chosen especially for them? Will they get a cat? Will I, in fact, pick up The Sims again at all? When in the world will En and Atsushi have compatible work schedules so that they don’t have to run away into the wilderness to be together? Only time will tell.

Epilogue:

The lion is En’s idea of a painting that inspires confidence.

WI already answered Aki, so here I’ll do the other two A’s!

Akoya

NOTP: I don’t really have NOTPs like at all so this question is always really hard, but I guess I’m pretty ‘meh’ about Akoya with Kinshiro. Like, could I see it working? Maybe. Do I think they’d actually be attracted to each other in the first place? Probably not...

BROTP: Everyone Brotps Akoya with Ryuu and I agree with the sentiment. Pinks gotta have their silly rivalry. Could definitely also see Akoya being besties with Aki and/or Haru, once the third years graduate.

OTP: Here I go again with my OT3s but AkoIoRyuu is my jam. But I suppose I’ll talk more about the OT3 in the poly question. If I had to pick ONE, I do really like AkoRyuu because the angst dynamics have a lot of potential and they just seem like they’d be really... explosive. Passionate. Ooh la la. That’d leave poor Io alone though so it kind of makes me sad lol.

Second Choice Pairing: AkoRima, considering that seems to be everyone’s OTP with Akoya. I like the dynamic well enough; it seems like Ibushi would pay a shitload of attention to Akoya and Akoya would eat up every second of it but idk I feel bad saying this but Ibushi as a character still doesn’t really stick out to me :/ So like... I’m pretty blase about all the ships including him.

Fluffy Pairing: Yumotoooooo because smol fluff child. Despite pretty exclusively shipping Yumoto with a/both Beppus this would be the only ship involving Akoya that I could see being tooth-rottingly cute. Akoya screams sophistication and like old-school romance or fiery passion and Yumoto would be the only one who could probably bring out his softer, cutesy side. Let Yumoto brush and play with his hair? Yas. Snuggle pajama party? Yas.

Angsty Pairing: The aforementioned AkoRyuu. Because holy smokes I feel like I am alone in pinkship land but like two words; hate fucking. I have a fanfic premise for them built around an enemies to frenemies to frenemies with benefits to friends with benefits to boyfriends and it just sounds so delicious. Imagine the snark, the sass, the spontaneous makeout sessions. Y’know these boys would be passionate and put in 110% to whichever emotion they were processing. Which likely would be a combination of annoyance and lust. Damn I need to write this thing. Along with my twelve other fic ideas -cries-

Polyship: AkoIoRyuuuuuuu and now I get to talk about it. Like okay. Take the fiery spark that is Akoya and Ryuu together and add in the mutual pining for Io (the other element to the pinkship) and then lo and behold Io is a willing participant...? Io would balance the pinks out, bringing a level head to their sometimes rash behaviors yet spoiling them silly when he’s feeling particularly mushy. The pinks would probably have their strengths and weaknesses in meeting Io’s needs- like Akoya knows about the finer things and would definitely look good on his arm at any fancy business events whereas Ryuu would be the more lowkey one and their strong friendship would form a foundation for Io’s emotional support. Idk they have such potential for their dynamics and again, there need to be more fics with them. And by that I mean fics that aren’t AUs (because I swear it seems like half the boueibu fics are AUs and... I’ll shut up before I start ranting).

Weirdest Pairing: Um, Akoya/En? Akoya/Atsushi? I can’t see either of those really happening but then again in weird ways they may work. Unfortunately I can’t put words to it, though.

Atsushi

NOTP: Atsushi/Yumoto? Idk I see more brother/senpai/parental dynamics from these two and I just... cannot see it romantically at all. Hm, maybe I do have some NOTPs. But does anyone ship this anyway? Lol.

BROTP: The obvious En/Kinshiro when they aren’t shipped romantically. Atsushi has his best friends and they’re all so precious. Also weirdly if the boys started hanging out at Yumoto’s house more instead of in the onsen I could see Atsushi getting along well with Gora. They seem to have a similar personality.

OTP: Enatsu all the wayyyyyyy. If we’re picking a non-poly ship, that is. Like isn’t that everyone’s OTP with him? Maybe? Best friends blossoming into boyfriends is my shit. It’s adorable. Atsushi takes care of En in all the best ways and En helps Atsushi lighten up a little.

Second Choice: I ship Enatsu more than Kinatsu so I guess Kinatsu is the second choice here. Still cute dynamics but with a more unrequited love becomes requited vibe on Kinshiro’s end. It does feel weird to me though to have these two as a standalone ship because then... where does that leave En??? And in my boueibu-verse everyone gets paired off and is happy but I just cannot decide which pairings I like best lol (someone save meeeee)

Fluffy Pairing: Kinatsu has more potential for just sheer fluff like I can’t. Kinshiro being the delicate thing that he is needing reassurance and attention and Atsushi, having learned his lesson with the curry thing, won’t let anything fester or settle and they talk things out and cuddle and go on cute dates and aldsfjasldkfjal;sdkj -explodes- okay maybe they’re cuter than I thought they were.

Angsty Pairing: ...actually, literally the same answer, but twist Kinshiro’s response to a jealousy angle over En and you have the makings of some drama right there. Or the OT3 could have Atsushi be caught in the middle for even more potential angst.

Polyship: Enatsukin? Kinenatsu? Enkinatsu? What is this ship name even? BUT YES THAT ONE. I ship this OT3 even more than the other polyships I like and that’s saying something. Because this way, none of these three are left alone and both En and Kinshiro get Atsushi’s caretaking and empathetic nature and Atsushi gets the strong friendship foundations he has with both of them and they all have this mutual trust going on once En and Kinshiro come around to the idea and deal with their feelings for one another as well as for Atsushi.

Weirdest Pairing: I can’t quite wrap my brain around Atsushi/Arima but then again it kinda works to put the two ‘mom’ characters together. And the two sass masters. Like, it fits but it’s weird to me.

WHO SNEAKS IN COOKIES IN THE SHOPPING CARTOkay so Yumoto probably does it when he’s with Gora, but if Yumoto is entrusted with the shopping list+money he takes it very seriously, and the twins know it, and like to tease him by seeing if they can sneak his favorite sweets in, seeing if he’ll notice or even want to take the sweets out of the cart when he does notice

17.) pokémon team: i'm that loser who still hasn't downloaded pkmngo so, uh. core series. i basically always use the cute ones bc i'm the laziest trainer in the world and if i Have to grind, i'd rather see some cute pkmn lmao. my moon rn is primarina, ribombee, (cheer) oricorio, salazzle, and mimikyu. all female bc Why Not. i forgot what i wanted my 6th pkmn to be so. we'll see.

18.) favorite color: green! i also really like mint, turquoise, and blues.

19.) average number of sleep: well. the mathmatical average is probably 6-7h. but what this really means is "2-4h when i need to get up early" and "10-14h when i don't" so, uh. yeah. (i do sometimes get 5-7h a night but that is not a common occurance, my sleep schedule is The Worst)

20.) lucky number: i'm gonna go w/ favorite instead and that's 3! i like 37 and 39 too.

kingdom hearts - sora, probably? i haven't played a game w/ him in 200yrs bc our ps2 is dead and most handheld games (w/ him) are. not so fun to replay lmao

ffxiv - haurchefant and aymeric, i love those elfs. also, minfilia is good and i will love and protect her from rude and hateful ppl

22.) how many blankets do you sleep with: one. i know this directly contradicts "i am always cold" but more than one blanket is Too Warm and also too heavy so i usually just take a heat pillow w/ me if i'm freezing lmao

23. dream job: lmao. if you'd asked me half a year ago, i would've confidently told you "special needs educator at an elementary school". but i failed to get into university studies relating to that so i had to look for sth different, just to have Something To Do. so i signed up for german studies major + english studies minor at a different university (some studies don't require grades here... it's complicated) bc hey, i wanted to teach english and german sooo that extra year wouldn't be completely wasted, right? except that i ended up falling in love w/ historical linguistics (thanks, intro to medievial english studies) so. now i'm torn bc what i'm currently studying is Really fun and interesting to me but idek what jobs i could get w/ a BA in that. education would practically guarantee me a job and i'd probably enjoy it but. yeah. tl;dr i do not know fhjdsfk

24. following: less than 50 blogs. mostly friends and mutuals, some other nice-seeming fandom ppl, (fandom) artists, space blogs. i almost always backread so following lots of ppl would make backreading really difficult but Not knowing what everyone has been up to makes me really anxious, so. a small-ish group of ppl that generally doesn't spampost is best lmao

There’s nothing all that special about Kinshirou and Atsushi. They’re privileged boys from good families, well-mannered and clever, but there are plenty of teenagers like that in Japan. Still, they’re happy together, and happy with their lives, and there’s no reason to think anything might change for them.

Certainly there’s no reason to imagine that Yufuin, the lazy boy in the back row of their class, has ever been anything more to them than a classmate, someone to chat with or lecture about uniform standards. But even if they don’t remember him, En will protect them, no matter what it takes.

Boueibu 30 Days Challenge

Eight days into the challenge.

Day 8: OTP’s favorite moment.

I have already mentioned it in a separate post, but this is possibly the most intense scene out of all the two seasons in my opinion. It disappoints me how Kinshiro's reaction is usually cut out of this scene in Gifs ... Yes, I know it's an awesome EnAtsu moment, but this is also (and mostly, if you ask me) a EnAtsuKin moment that explains their relationship in a nutshell.

Another EnAtsuKin moment that I have just spotted yesterday is in s2 ep1, when Atsushi says Kinshiro goodbye at the airport ... En looks so ... So ... I don't even know how to describe it, but I can just see him feeling a bit out of place there. I honestly love how they decided to not turn EnAtsuKin into the umpteenth boring love triangle, but instead made En very supportive and aware of Atsushi's feelings and needs.

I also loved in s1 ep8 their little fight about e-mails. And in s2 ep7 how En sets it all up as an excuse to give Atsushi Kinshiro's postcard. Seriously, how cute and adorable and secretly angsty can EnAtsuKin get?!

Last but not least in this adorably-angsty love square, the scene where Arima convinced Kinshiro to send Atsushi an e-mail. These four guys will be the death of me ♥

Have Your Cake and Eat It Too (En/Atsushi/Kinshiro)

((From a prompt on OTP Prompts that stated, "Imagine your OTP eating cake/tea in a quaint, cute café." Here's the crap I came up with....))

There's a sickening drop in Atsushi's gut when he sees them in the corner of the locker room together. E's pants are loose and pulled a little past his hips. He has Kinshiro pinned against the lockers and thrusts into him with a grunt. Eavesdropping on such an intimate moment is unthinkable, but Atsushi can't peel his eyes away from them.

"F-Faster…" growls the president through clenched teeth. "I really…don't want to be caught in this position."

The blond purposely slows his movement and whispers into Kinshiro's ear, "Ehh? What was that?"

Kinshiro's next protest is cut off by a sudden cry when En brutally thrusts into him from behind again. His legs wobble and almost give out, so he braces himself on the lockers again. En's cheeky grin disappears as he picks up the pace again, and he also uses the lockers to steady himself.

Atsushi feels bile crawl into his throat, tears swell within his eyes, and warmth gathering below his own belt. Kinshiro cries out louder this time, and En crescendos with a throaty growl only seconds after him. Both need and shame are so dizzying that Atsushi staggers back into a locker himself.

The president's face pales and he frantically glances around the room. "En, did you…?"

"Yeah…" The blonds carefully withdraws from his boyfriend and pulls his pants up, zipping them after. Turning, he searches the locker room and spots a shadow on the wall. "Oy, show yourself!"

Kinshiro also readjusts himself and his messy attire. He squints and takes a step back, realizing who the intruder is. "O-Oh my God…"

Atsushi doesn't stop to admit to his wrongdoing or even ask what's going on. He clambers over a bench and makes a beeline for the exit with En calling after him. His heart thunders and blood drums in his ears like hoof beats as he climbs the stairs.

"Whoa, hey! Watch it!"

Atsushi comes to a screeching halt when he nearly barrels into one of his juniors and club members. There's no use trying to hide his tears or explaining his state of disarray. "I-I'm sorry, Ryuu-chan…"

Io and Yumoto are also with him, and they clamber around their senior immediately when they see tears in his eyes.

Yumoto is the first to ask the inevitable, looking worried himself, "What's wrong, senpai?"

"I can't…I…" Atsushi looks over his shoulder again.

"Is someone after you?" Io peers past his senior. "Senpai?"

"Perfect timing!" Ryuu grins and waves down the hallway. "Yufuin-senpai and the president will know what to do, ne? I'm sure they – Hey, senpai! Wait!"

Atsushi takes off again before Ryuu has a chance to ask him anything else. When En and Kinshiro finally arrive, he's full of questions.

"What the hell's going on?" He crosses his arms and glances between them like an angry mother. "Well?"

Io sighs and answers for them, "Kinugawa-senpai saw you two together, didn't he? And I'm also guessing he ran away before you could explain things to him?"

"Yeah, that's what happened," pants En, thoroughly exhausted. "Shit, Kinshiro…What'll we do now?"

The president lowers his head and his shoulders sag. "We were going to tell him. A-Ask him to join us even, but…"

"It's settled, then!" pipes up Yumoto between them, pumping his fists in the air. "We have to find Kinugawa-senpai!"

"We should split up!" Ryuu grins and grabs his boyfriend's arm, volunteering them. "We'll check the library!"

Kinshiro looks a little more hopeful himself, and he turns to En with a nod. "You check the curry restaurant down the street, and I'll pay a visit to his home. Yumoto-kun, you – "

"I'll look everywhere else!" beams the first year with a stiff salute after. "We'll meet back at the bath house!"

No one questions or challenges Yumoto's suggestion, and they all set out promptly after in search of Atsushi. The library is closest to the school, so Io and Ryuu arrive at their area first.

Io takes a quick glance around and notes, "Crowded today, isn't it?"

"I forgot this place had two floors, too." Ryuu strokes his chin and frowns at his boyfriend. "He could be hiding anywhere."

"Why don't we take your advice and separate, then?" offers Io with a tiny smile that sends a shiver up Ryuu's spine. "I'll take the first floor and you take the second."

Ryuu blushes some and bobs his head enthusiastically. "Right! We'll find him in no time!"

En reaches his destination, CoCoKara Curry, next. This place holds a lot of fond memories for him, but it's also the place that ultimately drove a wedge between Atsushi and Kinshiro before their reconciliation. He only hopes they'll all three walk through this door someday with the mutual understanding that they're all in love with each other.

"Oh, Yufuin-san, welcome!" greets the cheery hostess with a smile. "Is it just you today? Where's your friend?"

The blond teen answers her absently while looking around the restaurant, "Actually, I'm trying to find out where he went." The counter is empty and he doesn't see Atsushi in any of the booths either. "Have you seen him today?"

"Sorry, I haven't…" The woman frowns when she notices how distraught her usual patron is. "I hope you find him, though. I'm sure things will turn out for the best, ne?"

"You're right." En returns her smile and pushes the door open. "Thanks."

Kinshiro has the farthest to go, and he doesn't bother calling his chauffeur or even asking Ibushi to pick him up. Time is of the utmost importance, so he takes the first available cab along the street. When he finally arrives at the Kinugawa residence, he pays the driver and asks him to wait out front.

"Please be here…" he murmurs and rings the doorbell. "At-chan…"

It doesn't take long for someone to answer the door, but to the president's dismay, it's not his best friend that answers the door, but Atsushi's mother instead.

"Hiya, Kin-chan!" She pops an earring into one ear and beams back at him with the same brilliant smile as her son. "What's up? Looking for Atsushi?"

Kinshiro smiles slightly and answers, "Yes, ma'am…He isn't home right now, is he?"

"Eh?" The woman sticks in her other earring and studies the boy's expression a moment. "He's not hurt or anything, is he? Is he in trouble?"

"A-Ah, no! It's nothing like that," explains Kinshiro, waving his hands around. "It's just…We've had a slight misunderstanding and I was hoping to talk tings over with him."

Atsushi's mother breathes a sigh and relaxes. "Sorry, but I haven't seen or had from him since this morning." She claps a hand on the boy's shouldr and winks at him. "Whe you do find him, though, make sure that you work everything out then and there, 'kay? It's not good to let things like these go for too long."

"It's evident as to why he loves her so much," muses Kinshiro with a rueful smile. He takes a bow and thanks her, "I appreciate you help and advice, ma'am. I'll be sure to work things out with At-chan."

Every other store and restaurant within a four block vicinity of the school is Yumoto's area to search. He runs around like a toddler on his first sugar high, poking around odd shops, stalls, and the like. After hitting his senior's usual spots like the nearby convenience store, he really starts thinking outside the box.

"If I were Kinugawa-senpai," he says out loud while walking down the same street for the sixth time this afternoon, "I wouldn't wanna be found. I'd be embarrassed, right?"

This thought rules out all the usual spots, and that doesn't leave much considering how often Atsushi eats out with En or Kinshiro. Yumoto retraces his steps until he comes to a recently-opened cosplay cafe. Complete with handsome men in pristine black uniforms and girls in cute maid outfits, it seems like the last place a guy like Atsushi would hang out at.

Or would he?

Pressing his round face against the front window, Yumoto peeks inside. It's a quaint little café, and the butlers interest him more than the maids. His eyes widen when he spots someone sitting at a table near the back with their head lowered and a frown on their face.

"I found him!" he hollers and takes off like a rocket, speeding down the street. His steams doesn't run out when he reaches the bath house. He skids to a halt and repeats himself, "I found Kinugawa-senpai! Hurry!"

Everyone looks a little confused, but they follow him back to the cafe regardless. After outlining a battle plan, En and Kinshiro head inside while Io and Ryuu wait outside with Yumoto (who also wanted to go in, but Ryuu said this is between lovers only.)

"You're his boyfriends?" asks the butler that greets them at the door, glancing over his shoulder at the other teen seated at the table. "Well, I hope you have better luck than I did. I've been trying to squeeze a smile out of him for the past forty-five minutes."

Atsushi looks up from his neglected plate of mille-feuille and his breath hitches in his throat. "En-chan…Kin-chan…"

En flops into his chair, all tuckered out. "We've been looking all over town for you, ya know."

"We're glad we found you, though," chimes in Kinshiro with a weary smile, taking the chair beside Atsushi's. "Why didn't you stop when you heard us call for you?"

Atsushi's stomach knots. "I couldn't…I…"

"Oy, we were gonna tell you." En sits upright and scoots his seat closer to Atsushi's. He touches his friend's face and frowns. "You didn't give us a chance to explain anything."

"You shouldn't have to, and I…I shouldn't have been spying on you!" The blue-haired boy focuses all of his attention on the cake I front of him. "I should be happy for you two."

"You have the wrong idea, At-chan," cuts in Kinshiro abruptly after, placing his hands over his friend's. "En and I are together, yes, but we also wanted to tell you…" He looks at the blond across the way.

En takes his silent cue and holds Atsushi's other hand, grinning at him. "That we've both been in love with you the whole time." He plants a kiss on his friend's cheek to reassure him. "We were waiting to confess 'cause we thought the unconventional idea of having two boyfriends might scare you off."

"I-I don't understand. You both…love me?" Atsushi fumbles with his words. "I can have both of you?" He blinks a few times and blushes well into his neck when both of his friends kiss either side of his face.

"Mm-hmm…" hums En while he works his mouth behind Atsushi's ear, eliciting a shiver from the other boy. "And we both get you."

"En, remember that we're in public." Kinshiro gives him a stern look while some of the maids behind the counter giggle and titter over them. His face glows a little because of the unwanted attention. "In any case, we're both very sorry about this whole mess."

Atsushi smiles for the first time since this morning. "Does this mean we're all together now? And uh…is this our first date?" He slumps in his chair and relaxes; being with his best friends never felt more natural.

"That's a wonderful idea. Why don't we order also?" Kinshiro waves to their butler, who's watching them from behind the counter with a host of giddy maids. "I think En should pay for everything since the locker room fiasco was his idea to begin with."

"You enjoy that sort of thing, En-chan?" Asushi's cheeks are all red again. "I never would've guessed…"

Kinshiro folds his arms and huffs, "He's quite the pervert, At-chan, but you needn't worry; I'll protect you."

"Tch. You're just as kinky as I am," says En with a smug grin, and he turns to Atsushi. "He has a thing for biting and size differences."

Atsushi spots Io, Ryuu, and Yumoto in the window just outside, grinning like a bunch of dorks, and he waves to them with a smile also. He laughs while En and Kinshiro continue their playful banter, and he finds himself thinking how lucky he is to have friends (and two wonderful boyfriends) who care so much for him.

"Well then, I'm in your care from now on," he interrupts them with a chirp and another blinding smile, "so please treat me kindly!"
