Kindpunk

A subculture/term for those in the Otherkin community that are radically inclusive to others using the kin label, and blurring boundaries between otherkin and other kinds of alterhumanity.
Kindpunks are against gatekeeping in the kin community, whether or not one’s personally a spiritual otherkin, casual otherkin, KFF (Kin-For-Fun), kinnie, fableing, kin-related introject, extranths who identify with the label, etc. with focus primarily on otherkin experiences. Supportive of blurring between “identifying with” and “identifying as”. Kindpunks also respect the fact some spaces may be only for talking about non-chosen otherkin experiences, while others are for talking about chosen otherkin experiences. Kindpunks respect the origins of otherkin while also recognizing language changes and evolves over time, and that there has always been blurring between unchosen/chosen and identifying with/as in the alterhuman community.
Kindpunks also recognize every individual has a different experience with kinhood, and respects that. (Ex: Having many kintypes, being able to drop kins/kintypes, being unable able to drop kins/kintypes, rapid or slow (kin)shifting, unchosen otherkin sometimes having problematic characters/kintypes, current-life beliefs (such as being only partly human), a kin having a problematic source and recognizing that, complex relations with identity, having a kinlist, listening to kin playlists, having fun and/or being serious with your identity, etc)
Who's included?
Spiritual, Religious, Clinical Lycantrophy, Psychological, Blurkind, KFF, etc. All good faith self-identified otherkin/kin/kinnies are within this community. This includes ALL kinds of otherkin labels.
Other non-otherkin alterhumans/ahumans who feel connected to the otherkin community, without necessarily identifying as otherkin themself. EX: Constelic, Endels, Otherlink, Copinglink, etc. (This also includes half-kin/demi-humans, and furries who relate to experiences in the community.)
Who’s NOT included?
Alterhumans who do not identify themselves as otherkin, or adjacent to the otherkin community itself. (Do not assume someone’s otherkin/blurkind, nor assume their personal identity.)
KFF Factkin. Especially if said “kin” is currently living. You can deeply relate to someone, however you cannot BE them unless you were reborn from a past life/alternative universe. (If you are Factkin, it’s also generally good faith to specify you’re not trying to claim you’re this universe’s (currently) living counterpart. Especially if you’re neurotypical.)
KFF against serious Otherkin. Kindpunk is about solidarity. If you’re ableist/saneist/anti-alterhuman by calling serious kin (Psychological/Spiritual/etc.) delusional, you’re not kindpunk nor are you welcome in the kin community.
Otherkin who are against the use of other community terms. Kindpunk is about blurring boundaries in the community, however also respective the terms other choose to describe themselves.
You use being otherkin (and other-wise nonhuman) as an excuse to perpetrate/support pro-contact zoophilia, abuse, “consang”, racism, queermisia, etc.
Practically anyone who uses otherkin, kin, kinnie, etc. in bad faith.

Why? My personal experience.
TDLR; Gatekeeping in the kin community directly mirroring gatekeeping/exclusionist rhetoric in other communities I’m in.
The reason I coined this term is primarily because I’m against exclusion in any community (Of course respecting closed identities is also a focus point, such as indigenous and racial identities, religion-based identities, neurodiverse identities, culture/practice locked identities, etc), and my personal experience as someone who’s blurkind, I fit multiple types of alterhumanity AND otherkin (Mostly Spiritual Otherkin and KFF.)
As someone who’s queer with “contradictory” labels (and plural), every “reason” I’ve seen for excluding KFF from exploring and having fun with identity, has directly mirrored exclusionist behavior I’ve seen in the queer community. (Ex: “Using the wrong term” = invalid experience (Mirrors mspec gay discourse), Only one definition of a term is valid (Mirrors lesbian discourse), being x isn’t fun/you can’t have fun with identity (Mirrors Xenogender discourse), etc.)
My experience as blurkind, my first experience with the otherkin community was somewhat bitter, gatekeeping left and right on whether or not someone’s experience is “valid” enough to call yourself otherkin left a bitter taste in my mouth because my experience, even as my experience as kin has the origin on reincarnation, it ALSO always has had a casual due to another origin of my kin identity being for fun, whether or not I gained memories or not. For me, a lot of the “reasoning” behind exclusion in the community is the exact same as I experienced while growing up while first learning about transmed/truscum/tucute/“trender” discourse. It’s valid to take your identity in any way, whether it be serious and/or for fun.
Even though I’ve begun to use other alterhuman community terms for my experience, such as other-hearted and nonhuman in general, my first experience was with the kin label, and such holds much more prevalence in my mind versus others.

This term was originally coined as Kinpunk, however has been changed to Kindpunk after harassment from various sources. (Plus the fact there's apparently has already been two separate coinings of kinpunk.)

A form of Alterhumanity where one experiences and/or identifies oneself with multiple labels under the Alterhuman / Otherkin umbrella, and therefore uses terminology interchangeably for what they experience. One may be any combination of Alterhuman identities, feel as if they have a choice or not in their identity, and/or experience blurring or confusion between what terms they use for what they experience.

Kinlink: A blurkind term that is a blur/combination of Otherkin and Copinglink and/or Otherlink.
Constelpath: A blurkind term that is a blur/combination of Constelic and Synpath.

KFF (left) || NCK (middle) || NCKFF (right)
KFF: Usually an individual who relates to the otherkin (or other alterhuman experiences) experience in a casual way, and may or may not be able to change or drop 'kins' at will. "Kin-For-Fun"
NCK: An otherkin individual who’s otherkinity wasn’t chosen, inclusive of all origins of non-chosen otherkinity. (Spiritual, Clinical, etc.) “Non-Chosen-Kin”
NCKFF: An otherkin individual who regards themself as being KFF & NCK, or on a spectrum between the two terms. This could be for a multitude of reasons. (Being Blurkind, relating to the experiences of both KFF and NCK, etc.) “Non-Chosen-Kin-For-Fun”

These flags and terms were originally posted April 4th, 2022.
Anyways I'm blurkind between lots of things but only 'kin' and extranth (and general nonhuman, god, deity, being, creature, etc) fits my experiences as a nonhuman, but due to being multiple types of alterhumanity in a weird bundle, I related to both KFF and general otherkin. So I coined NCKFF, to fit my own experiences. Being on brand I decided to coin NCK for otherkin who view their otherkinity or alterhumanity as being soley non-chosen. So I made the flags as well.
These flags and terms aren't for otherkin or other alterhumans who harass KFF (and other alterhumanity community members) for using the 'wrong terms', experiencing alterhumanity in an alternative way, people exploring their identities, for using terms casually, etc. Nor are these terms and flags for folks who medicalize/clinicalize alterhumanity to dismiss various types of alterhumanity, or call NCK ableist terms. Likewise these terms aren't for you if you call folks human without their consent, or 'reality check' folks.
Our communities have no room for identity politics.

Kinlink
A branch-off of Blurkind, that’s specifically a mix of Otherkin, and Copinglink and/or Otherlink. One may be KFF/Choicekin/Constelic (falling under Copinglink or Otherlink), while also having experiences that fall under the Otherkin umbrella (such as memories of past lives, believing oneself to being something other than your current human body, or a non-human soul). One’s experiences would fit under both kin and link, and one may choose to describe themselves as one of either (Or both). One may also feel a distinct separation between their Otherkin and Copinglink/Otherlink experiences, or one may not, and feel a blur between them (this would make it unlikely for oneself to be able to identify if an experience is a link or a kin).

hiya!!! you did just say you dont take requests but im still gna say this cus its not 100% a request hehe, but!! i lovelove the blurkind label a lot, & i and a couple others in alterhuman servers have started semi-often using the word "kinth" (cross btwn kin n kith) to describe smn being a blend of/tossup btwn/simultaneous kintype & hearttype. i feel like its a relatively common experience with, to my knowledge, no other term, so idk if you want to make a flag / coining post for that? since its v similar to, say, kinlink (a label i also use :] )!!
oh that's cool. maybe I will eventually. other coiners can feel free to make sublabels of my terms if they want to. i'm usually pretty open to things like that, especially if what I've coined is an umbrella term.

Chaotithing
Chaotithing is a term for when all (or most) aspects of your identity are messy and unorganized. This can cause blurring between different aspects of your identity (gender, plurality, orientation, disability, etc.), cause you to experience abstract/“contradictory” labels (Cis Nonbinary, Recugender, Mspec Lesbian), and/or cause you to willingly accept the chaos of your identity and use labels you may not 100% fit under definitions for because of complex experiences (Lesbiflux, Semi-Bi, Blurkind, etc.)

This term is all-inclusive. Chaotithing covers Gender, Orientation, Plurality, Alterhumanity, Otherkin, Aldernic, Neurodiversity, Disability, etc. All complex forms of self-identification can apply.
This term is NOT for transID to use.
Below these IDs is a cut, underneath the cut is where I put flags that may trigger eye strain, migraines, etc. due to colors or stripe patterns. Proceed with caution if you struggle with anything like that.

From what I can see I never coined anything for otherkin+constelic so I'll probably go with Kinstelic and make a flag for it later lol

Sorry if this comes off rude and you don't have to answer but do you ever get confused or dissociate or something having so many different identities and wouldn't it be more confusing to keep making other links and adding to it?
Not rude at all, I can tell you're just curious! I'm guessing that you probably have just a single 'type, so might not understand the poly- thing.
To me, it's not so much 'a bunch of identities' as it is one continuous but multi-faceted identity. They are all unique in how they feel and how they effect me and I do sometimes call into question whether or not x is a 'kin or 'link or 'hearted when I haven't felt a strong influence by it for a while, but mostly I've come to a nice plateau of acceptance. Beings balance many aspects of themselves all the time, so it's not too unusual when you think about it.
Maybe it's easy for me because I don't really experience shifts in the typical sense. I have absolute shifts, all of the time.
If anything I just move from kintype to kintype, 'link to 'link, kintype to 'link, 'link to kintype etc etc although mostly it's kintype to kintype. Sometimes this can be brief (a few hours maybe), a bit longer (days to weeks, to a month or so) and sometimes it's a new absolute shift that lasts for years.
When I was a child I mostly felt my werewolf self despite already identifying as both a werewolf and an android as well as otherlinking with Taranee Cook from W.I.T.C.H and Danny Fenton/Phantom. At that time I would have said I was all of these things though despite the werewolf 'shift' being strongest. As a teenager, the Danny shifts were strongest despite being a 'link, I kept feeling them. The fact I no longer 'link with him or Taranee is fine because since they were 'links, I no longer need them for their purpose. I dunno maybe they're still in there somewhere lol again I don't tend to say I know how any of this works!
Currently I feel my android self the most and have done for a few years. That doesn't stop the shifts, which aren't in my control, even when it comes to my 'links since they're basically involuntary now. Despite feeling mostly an android, I can happily be referred to by any of my other parts and still feel that that is absolutely correct. Why then is the android self at the front? I don't know. I don't control what feels the strongest. The point is, the other parts are always there, even if I'm not actively thinking about them.
I also don't intend to make any more 'links, I think? As in, I never really went into the process on purpose before, it just kinda happened, so I'm not really 'in the market' for new otherlinks as things stand. If I keep getting strong flickers for something and I think it might be useful as a 'link (as in, I could give it a purpose), then yeah I might but otherwise you're kinda right - I absolutely do not need to balance any more 'links lol
I feel like I just rambled again so I hope this helped you understand things a bit. I just want to add that not every polykin or blurkind will work like me and it's absolutely valid to have just one kintype.
