was bored so i scrolled down the blueycapsules william tag on twitter only to find out there was some kinda silly argument i think over William's design a few days ago with some people saying they hate it and stuff (these people seem to hate the whole comic, actually), comparing the blueycapsules design with rebornica's Vincent and stuff for some reason

and then some blueycapsules fans would come in saying that William's design isn't supposed to be attractive in the first place and i am like excuse me what-

• Everytime you’d catch him in a bad mood, you’d make him feel better again with your little happy movements.

• He was very easy to convince, mainly because he’d do anything for you.

Old drawing of my fnaf AU! This AU is a fanfic on AO3 that’s currently at around 78,000 words. It focuses mostly on interpersonal relationships, especially between these three, but also between Mike and Henry.

Michael: The Au focuses on Michael when he is 18 and living with Henry after his father surrendered custody after the Bite of ‘83. He was is foster care for 4 years prior to going to live with Henry after turning 18. He takes a job at the FNAF 2 location to find out more about the animatronics, and the otherworldly… pull he feels to be there. I decided pretty early on that I wanted his style to be kind of 1990s grunge, even though that style hasn’t risen onto the scene yet during the year the story begins (1987). Those nasty chuck tennis shoes he’s wearing probably went all through foster care with him. I also ended up softening how much he looks like William—most of the similarities would be in facial structure and expressions, and they share the same eyes, but their coloring is very different (I made Mike’s mom Latina in this).

Fritz: Fritz is his own character in this AU! During the beginning of the story, he works as a mechanic during the dayshift at Freddy’s (hence the grease rag. He also enjoys working on vehicles!). He develops fast friendships with both new employees (Michael and Jeremy), but has been noticing strange phenomenon around the restaurant for weeks. He also shares overlapping work hours with the daytime security guard, a man called “Dave”, who is starting to look oddly familiar…

Jeremy: Jeremy doesn’t believe in ghosts. He’s a highschool graduate from out of town, who came to the area for college, and took the night shift security position to get some money before term starts in the fall. He may be the most different from most other fanon depictions (other than Fritz, who rarely exists at all), as I started making this AU and long, long time ago, before the blueycapsules craze, and the jeremike rush that has followed ever since. He’s the most sporty of the three, which I tried to reflect in this choice of clothing. When he takes the job at Freddy’s, the abnormal animatronic behavior and overly-relaxed management staff set off alarm bells practically immediately—but something stops him from quitting, despite the physical danger. He isn’t sure if it’s begrudging worry for his new friends, or the weird pull he feels to the place, like something trying to speak.

It was an off day for the both of you, so you two slept in that morning. It was peaceful and quiet compared to the early mornings the both of you would have to wake up to. Instead of a blaring alarm clock to awaken you that morning, it was the sun’s rays through the blinds of your shared room that caused you to open your eyes drowsily.

A soft hum of discomfort left your lips at the suns rays over your eyelids. Even so, you knew you wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep- you never do. Before you did anything else, you turned over to look to your other side. There laid the love of your life. He was still dead asleep, his milk chocolate colored strands a complete mess from turning and moving in his sleep. It was a sleeping habit of his you got used to rather quickly and easily. You found his bed head to be adorable in the mornings, anyhow.

A soft yawn left your lips as you turned back around and sat up. May as well make some hot tea for the both of you to enjoy that early morning so you could wake up more as the morning dragged on. For a moment, you considered making breakfast for the both of you too. The only thing that stopped you was the question, “What would he want for breakfast?” You didn’t want to make something and it be something he didn’t want or that he didn’t like. That and it’d be a waste of good food!

You’d figure that out later, deciding to just settle for making tea for the both of you at that moment. You removed the tea pot from the cabinet, closing the cabinet door before setting the pot onto the counter. Turning the sink’s handle, you held the open pot underneath to fill it up enough to make the right amount for two. Once it was finished filling, it was sat down on the stove. You turned off the water and plucked a few tea bags from the canister you had on the counter to place into the tea pot to create the desired beverage. With the strings hanging out, you placed the lid on and started the burner.

You had just finished with the light sound of footsteps filled your ears, glancing over towards the hallway you had previously came from. There stood your boyfriend in a slight daze. His eyes were half lidded and his posture was a bit hunched over as the exhaustion overtook him for the time being. His hair was still a mess- it had become your job to fix it in the mornings before he would go to work- his hair curling oddly in places they didn’t normally curl.

The sight caused you to smile, a visible contrast to his soft frown. He didn’t speak. Actually, it seemed like he was lost in thought as he walked over to you. Spaced out, even. You opened your arms to envelope him in your usual morning embrace. Usually, he expressed his dislike to it as a facade for actually liking being in your hold. You know that it’s just a facade due to the fact that you get away with hugging him through his complaints nearly all the time. The only times you don’t is when you steal a hug when he’s running a tad late and he’s rushing out the door.

However, something was different this time. You hugged him and he froze. His body went ridged under your hold and he remained that way for a few short moments. And then he melted. The breath he held released itself and fanned against your neck, it coming out shaky and unsteady. His arms moved to wrap around your frame with no hesitation whatsoever and his hands gripped onto the back of your sleep shirt.

You almost didn’t hear the sound, but when you did, your heart clenched with confusion and worry. William, who’s face was buried into your chest, was crying. It wasn’t anything too loud or too violet. But he sobbed softly into the quiet morning, hugging you close. You never once seen him cry and hearing him do so now had shocked you. And yet you continued to hold him close. Hell- you held him closer.

A slightly anxious chuckle slipped passed your lips as you held him, one hand resting on his mid back while the other rested in the space between his shoulders. “What’s the matter, Will…? Are you alright?” Your soft voice spoke to him. It was the tone you used when he was upset or stressed about something. It helped him to calm down and relax, so you hoped that it would help you now.

His shoulders shook gently under your hold. Why, indeed.. Honestly, he wasn’t too sure why he was crying. It was just a sudden feeling that had rushed over him when you had hugged him. It was a feeling that accompanied his thoughts on the way to you moments before. Even though he was an asshole and even though he didn’t have the greatest reputation… you were still here. You didn’t leave, nor did you ever seem to think about leaving. You always seemed so genuinely happy with him. You forgave him so easily when he would slip up and accidentally hurt your feelings.

You stayed by his side.

And to that he said within broken cries…

“Thank you.”

Ins & Outs of 2023 💜

I know we're halfway through the year but change doesn't have an expiration date. I've been inspired by seeing lists made by other people so I take a crack at writing my own!

Outs:

Traumadumping/Sending me long rants in my inbox: Now I'm not saying you can't talk to me if something troubles you, I'm always open for a shoulder to cry on. But I am not a therapist. Also, if I'm talking about fandom stuff I don't need textbook long rants about the dangers of white feminism/liberalism/centrism/politics/whatever when I'm talking bout be like, Bratz or Transformers 😅. Half the time it is really not that deep, overly long rants clogs my inbox and honestly, I find them uncomfortable. It seems less like a conversation and more like a grudge post so if your feel that strongly you be better off making your own post. I am just one person!

Calling everything cheugy/ soulless: most of the time cheugy is just a word use to crap on things women likes. Also just because you don't vibe with a certain piece of media doesn't make it soulless, sometimes you don't need long rants or explanations. It's okay to dislike something without putting people down. I personally see this term so much it's becoming as overused as Mary Sue

Respectability Politics: most of the time the people who you work to try to earn respect won't give you that. Some noses need to be broken (metaphorically speaking). It's not being rude you're protecting your space.

Aesthetics: what I mean by this is following trends JUST to follow a trend even if it risks landing you in financial hot water. Or breaking down varied styles based on barebones idea (like there is more to Y2K than a belly shirt and shiny pants). Also not everything needs to be an aesthetic. Speaking of, Shein Hauls. Don't do it! You'd be better off saving on something that's actually worth the money

AI/NFTs: I don't need to explain this one

Beige: Going back to Aesthetic, beige has a connection to it. I know it supposed to give off clean vibes but everything being beige/gray/greige with nary a drop of color in sight just makes me sad :(

Recording People In Public: unless you have permission (or outing a potential Karen) don't do this. You could put someone's life in danger and it's just super rude in general. Getting a popular tiktok isn't worth harming others.

Cringe Culture: I admit I am guilty of participating in it back in my teen years. But now that I know better I realized I was being so sacred and insecure I wanted to be like everyone else...which is being a bully. It made me miss out on fun events and creators I couldve enjoyed if I had taken my head out my ass. Plus I'm not exactly Picasso myself, so who am I to judge. You don't know what an artist is going through sometimes the cringe is their outlet. As long as it's not hurting anyone why should u put people on blast for having fun?

Brand/Studio/Fandom Wars: I think we're at that stage where they have good and bad (and neutral) points. Everything is not always about conflict who makes the better movies/products. I find it reductive and sometimes it gets too far and innocent people end up getting dragged into a war they didn't ask for. Plus artists who work in rival companies/brands do support each other. We can enjoy media without pitting them against each other all the time and honestly it's just obnoxious stan behavior. Looking at you Cartoontwt.

Now it's time for the INs!

Creating for fun&joy: Yes it's okay to be upset if your art or stories aren't getting as much attention as you like, but that doesn't mean no one enjoys it. There's always one or two persons who loves your work! In general it's important to have fun and not let algorithms and "get rich quick" consume you. There is room for fun. Also don't make spite your entire motivation or else you'll end up with a Sonic Omens/ BlueyCapsules scenario. Take it from me: I may hate Cars 2 and Shrek 3 but I love those franchises too much to let interesting ideas go to waste. I have fun with the creating process, making picrews of Gwynn and Rhodanthe and self indulgent stories of my carsona and Finn.

Thinking For Yourself: You do not need to peddle someone else's opinions just bc they're popular. You don't need to jump on bandwagons, you can watch or read media and come up with your own conclusions. Practice Discernment and expand your horizons beyond watching that one review.

Self Inserts/OCs: back to cringe culture what helped me break out of that is making my own OCs. I love making OCs and Self inserts, it helps me get comfortable with designs and writing, everyone has a unique OC and have fun with them. Plus the ships are so cute everyone has a funky selfship or oc x canon

Color/Wearing what works for you: A pop of color helps to make your outfit stand out, and wearing what you want even for a couple of hours helps with your self esteem. Again everything doesn't need to follow an aesthetic or a trend as long as it suits your tastes (and budget)

Buying Products That Work: Don't just buy things just to have them decorate the shelves half the time bc they're cheap & not good for your body. Same with clothes buy something that lasts not because it goes well with a tiktok. Sometimes it's okay to spend a bit more on a product if it truly works for you. Also DIY can be VERY miss (the charcoal & glue peel off masks come to mind) so just get something specifically formulated for you

The Curtains Are PINK! Yes I wrote that in pink 💁 but essentially learn to value critical thinking. Learn to handle - and give - constructive criticism. Yes there are things that aren't that deep but that doesn't mean anything is unworthy of discussion. There's a lot of value in analysing media, and it helps you from hopping on bandwagons of misinformation

Working On yourself: doesn't need to be therapy (btw don't use BetterHelp) it can be anything: writing your feelings out in a diary, making vent art, trying new things, talking to someone you trust, stressballs, fidget toys. 2023 is the year of healing; it is VERY important to know how to FEEL not just shove down your emotions or take it out on someone. We're all adults we have a responsibility to initiate our positive change.

No but Blueycapsules volume one is such a good tone setter for the rest of the comic. Like the very first few parts are absurd and strange, but establishes SO MUCH before it really gets into the meat of the story. Spoilers for volume one if you haven't read it (which you SHOULD go read it what are you doing).

Part One (Meet The Family Guys) establishes the Afton family, establishes that William Afton is an absolutely HORRIBLE father (making his kids scoop out bread, the standing hour thing, the way he's treating them), that he killed Charlie, and that Liz has a strange shadow form that can kinda know the future.

Part Two (Charlie's Epic Wacky Funeral) establishes Vincent and Scott and their dynamics with William. It elaborates a bit on Liz's shadow form, briefly introduces Henry and Sammy, and establishes that Charlie's soul is in the Puppet. On top of all that, it gives William that line about strangulation being one of the worst ways to die, which hits way harder when you read it after Volume Three. Then Part Two Point Five (Welfare Visit King) establishes Henry further, as well as showing us his INCREDIBLY toxic relationship with William.

Up to this point, the comic has been pretty much the opposite of serious. It's been wacky absurd comedy. But Part Three (Now This Is Charlie 2.0) is where you start to realize that there's way more to this comic than first meets the eye. It establishes that Henry builds robots, it further reinforces William and Henry's dynamic, it's where CC, Michael, and Elizabeth's dynamics are really established, and most importantly, it establishes a LOT of stuff with Michael - Michael bullying CC, CC trying to tell Michael that William killed Charlie, Michael blowing up at him and being honestly pretty cruel.

Then Vincent calling William establishes more of Vincent's character (and kinda Scott's too if you squint), further establishes the twins' dynamic, establishes them having a kind of ahoge twin telepathy (blueycapsules is buckwild please read it), and establishes WHY William killed Charlie - because he saw her as dead weight. Purely selfish reasons.

The leadup to the party shows the events of FNAF 4 (minus the gameplay) really shows us more of CC and Michael's INCREDIBLY toxic dynamic. It shows us the extent of Michael's bullying and just how BAD he was, it shows us that the Fredbear plushie can talk to CC, it shows us just how scared CC is of the animatronics and William, and it establishes that the animatronics have consciousnesses before the missing children's incident happens. And it establishes all that in five pages, might I add.

A great thing about the leadup is that if you don't know all the lore (or at least stuff about FNAF 4), you're intrigued by this party that it's leading up to. But if you know about FNAF stuff, you just feel dread. You know what's coming.

Then comes part four. The party. This is really where Blueycapsules shows its true colors.

It starts off fairly silly, with Fredbear smoking weed and William Afton being William Afton, and it's honestly really funny. But then it shifts to CC, and the dread sets in again. Now Michael's got his friends, and they're helping to bully CC, being really fucking cruel. By this point, you know all you need to know, and yet the comic keeps establishing stuff. Specifically, Michael is desperate for his father's attention. After shoving CC into Fredbear's mouth, he takes off his mask and yells "FATHER! COME LOOK!" Like this comic just doesn't slow down oh my god

(One of my personal favorite panels from before the bite is CC crying on the ground, surrounded by the bullies, as the music blares in the background. It feels so... horrific.)

This is another example of it being great whether or not you know anything about FNAF. If you don't know anything about FNAF, you're somewhat on edge, and the tension is increasing with stuff like Elizabeth saying "You're gonna do something you regret" and CC being shoved in Fredbear's mouth.

But if you DO know the lore of FNAF, you just feel this dread. You've seen this cutscene before. You know what's about to happen.

And then it does.

The Bite Of 83 is where the reality of what this comic is fully hits you. It's bloody, it's horrific, it's heartbreaking, it's just incredible. That page where everyone rushing to help CC and the panels are going on and Michael is just standing there, not moving... It's just amazing.

And then CC officially dies, William tells Michael he's proud of him for committing child murder, it's dark and heartbreaking and it just fucking hurts.

And then it gets a bit more lighthearted with Elizabeth and Susie becoming friends, and it's sweet! It's adorable! But still, there's a dark undertone. You know Susie won't survive. You know this can't last. And that's a theme through a lot of the comic - it's a tragedy. You know how it all ends.

We get back to the Aftons, and it returns to angst. The guilt has hit Michael over everything, and he hates himself. And William thinks it doesn't matter. He thinks Michael's just being dramatic. It's fucking rage inducing, and does an incredible job at showing you what a fucking horrible person he is.

After that, it somewhat returns to comedy. Somewhat. The tone is still different - the angst is still there. Sure, there's hilarious moments like the incredible MacDonaldses panel, but that doesn't make it a super comedy comic like before. There's little details that would have been funny without the angst, but because we got the angst it just hurts. Hell, even gags from volume one hurt way way more with this recontextualization.

And from there, that's the tone of the comic. It's funny, there's still a lot of absurd comedy, there's sweet moments, there's heartwarming moments, there's hilarious moments. But compared to the beginning of Volume One, it's less funny and more sad. If you read Blueycapsules, you know what the rest of the comic is gonna be like - juggling absurd comedy, sweet moments, and an absolutely heartbreaking story. And it juggles it incredibly well.

And I just wanna say - all of that stuff established before the Bite? None of it was told to us. It was all just shown - the characters, the details, the dynamics, all of us was shown. And a lot of it was shown through jokes. And yet it still works so well.

Just. How is this comic so good man
