How intriguing! Jake! Lord jake? Hey, what are YOUR thoughts on Prince Dirk? :3
JAKE: We… well, we havent spoken in quite some time! Things have changed phenomenally since we last saw each other.
JAKE: Ive gotten far better at fighting since!
JAKE: (I wish things could go back. These palace halls make my very skin itch.)

Colored version of one of my ask responses on @scribbledkingdomstuck. Have been converted to strawberry blond Dirk in recent days, so there’s that.

Finished!
I finally got to draw one of my favorite Critical Role characters, Caduceus Clay. I only got to see half of The Mighty Nein Campaign (Campaign 2), but this was one of the characters that resonated with me in certain ways. He was the calm one in the group that was always there to give support and was ready to listen. I loved his way of thinking about life, and I also love that whenever he had his chance to confront his enemies through words, no malice is there but he does it in a way that ends up confounding them.
“Pain doesn’t make people, it’s love that makes people” was one of the lines that stood out when he spoke to the cruel wizard, Trent Ikithon. You got to watch the whole scene, but basically Caduceus put Ikithon in his place that made me cheer along with the other Critical Role cast members.
Quite an inspirational character for me, so I really hope I was able to do the tea-loving firbolg justice in this drawing.

As a personal headcanon, I don’t think that El Lobo de la Muerte is cruel to the average person.
His sadist streak tends to surface when someone attempts to cheat death or fail to appreciate their own life whilst not fearing/respecting death. And for someone whose main existence requires a sort of tact when bringing souls to the afterlife, the need to Hunt settles into a very exciting Primal urge that El Lobo doesn’t typically get to follow.
While he’s definitely not cuddly or fuzzy, I like to think that El Lobo does have a gentler nature to those who need it.
