As some know i am replaying Bloodborne.

I was wondering around Cathedral Ward and i just discover something… something a bit dark that i never noticed before. Wow i gained insight.

For everyone who played the game, you might be aware there’s a lot of tombstones, urns with bones and coffins in Yharnam right ? There’s even bones everywhere who are being moved.

We really arrived at the worst time 💀 everyone was really dying or trying to run away but failed (abandoned horse drawn)

Also it seems there some sorts of crematorium in Cathedral ward here in addition to Hemwick (i wont re tell all the theories on Hemwick but it’s were corpse are send to have bone marrow ash)

So i noticed this « box »… i never really took the time to pay attention to it until now.

it’s not just a box. But a small coffin. A child’s coffin.

I took a closer look at it. And look what’s inside 💀

Do you see it now? The hand with the claws ?

I guess one big mysteries in Bloodborne is explain now. At least more clear. Children can contract the beast plague.

(+ there’s a messenger head on it. Something associated with children kinda)

Loran bastards are stillborn and contract it before birth but it wasn’t clear if they could be infected and how children were impacted by it. So do they die naturally because their body can’t support it ? Or.. does someone have to put and end to them? I don’t want to think too much about it…

An other child corpse we saw is where we found the beggar. And oh some of the Mensis corpse are children too 💀 (they’re not small foreigners) It’s complicated in video games to show graphically children deaths, that would cause problems. Fromsoftware always need to come up with way to integrated it astuciously so the world stay coherent. (That’s also why we never saw Gascoigne daughter… the player could have the choice to kill her and it’s a no no)

Update : ok there’s 2 skull in it 💀 (nothing in an other one) so yeah i guess it could be to deplaced bones like the the chalice dungeon (there’s small wood box with bones but they are differents) + that doesn’t explain the hand ? And well it make sense i guess…

I want to remind that School of Mensis doesn't have to be school per se or as part of university (Burgerwerth) but more like organization of people (philosophers, scientists or clerics? Or maybe all at once) with common view and beliefs. Of course we know it turned into a sect. So instead of civilized discussions and lectures like it should be at university, we have brainwashing, tortures and praying to huge eldritch spiders. I think there were no students here but """scientists""". Or maybe there were students but true students should study, seek truth and asking questions! But asking questions in a sect doesn't end well :3 And the rest of students who were listening to Micolash without any reflections just turned into believers!

I still think about that post that was like, “dark souls is for horny freaks” thing and I started creating a mental list of other things that are for horny freaks.

Starting at beginner levels, we have Chainsaw Man. You’re a little bit of a Horny Freak for liking it.

Then there is Limbus Company, that’s def for Horny Freaks. Like character design and such isn’t horny anime shit but then…. Pink shoes… I stand my case, it’s for Horny Freaks

Then we have all the SoulsBorne shit. Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, absolutely for horny freaks. You wouldn’t guess it at first glance cause like cool armor and shit but the monster designs????? Freaks. For the horniest of freaks.

Disturbing discovery about the fishing hamlet

I made another discovery concerning the fishing hamlet and the "parasite farm" towards the end of the hamlet.

I know the main interpret is that those white slug/squid looking creature (found everywhere across the hamlet) are Kos parasites, but I think it's more complicated than that.

Kos parasites are supposed to be small. Really small.

So, I think those will made more sense.

Also, I know in the concept art they look more like augur/gastropod but in game they really look like baby squid hunter don't you think?

But maybe they are parasites. But then why are they so many? how do they multiply? I might have figure it out 💀 (yes, they could have fish them too but now I really doubt so)

Here's the really short version.

Now to explain I think…. That the "farm" is more of a nursery? Idk what they do with them after. And really, I don't wanna know…💀

I think that the snail ladies, take the giants ammonites shells (that we can found in the caves rocks) and lay eggs in it. Then the fishmen gather the eggs (we can see them scratch the grounds with tools + priests seem to pray to them or smt.

Then the eggs hatch and that make all those little things.

In the end I don't know if they really are parasites and they multiple via they’re host (fishing hamlet villagers) or if after being infected by kos parasites and being to transform & the villagers couldn't have children anymore and try that ?

Also, idk if it's because of the nightmare and it's just at one point in time that are show to us, but the little white squid seems all to be dead? Did they stop growing and dies like the celestial larvae who we don't see older expect in dead statues? (except Ebrietas who's the exception) + there's nothing that seems to indicate the presence of children in the hamlet compared to, Yharnam.

Are they praying to Kos in this goal? That their children might live ? (also Kos look a bit like a giant version of the snail women...)

It is the coast to pay after all… all great ones lose their child…wouldn't it b ethe same for humans becoming kins and trying to ascend?

I love the theory that Mensis cage actually doesn't do ANYTHING, because when the paleblood hunter wears it, nothing happens, it doesn't even make them immune to frenzy. It isn't any antenna, it doesn't help contact with Great Ones. It is just another delusion of mad cultists who would do absolutely everything what their leader order them, including wearing useless huge chunk of iron on their heads.
