Well then, that’s the end of the Thief Throwdown! Congratulations to the Team Rocket Trio for claiming the title of true Master Thief’s.

But, there’s still one thing that I just had to do before calling an end to the tournament.

There was one participant who didn’t make it into the finals despite stealing so many different things from all over the World, each one worth more than the last. Of course, all the other thieves from our tournament can’t let them get away with insulting their honor like that.

Blind the Bandit

In case anyone can’t read what is says/doesn’t know what’s going on.

First panel shows a girl behind bars in a sitting position similar to Zeldas.

Link looks at a key he found.

The girl glances at him with distaste. Or smth. Link doesn’t notice. It’s like in Anime rly.

Link points at her and asks: are you the maiden?

Girl: yes,please, you must free me.

The following panel is in bird-eye view and something feels off

Link opens the door and smiles at her. Second later he looks shocked.

Next panel shows that the girl stood up and that she has no shadow.

Girl: thank you for saving me, please take me outside

In the last panel it shows the girl from behind and link is suspicious now I think.

„ … “ < signifying that links braincell is working and turning the wheels.

Edit: it’s blind the BANDIT and nobody told me! Argh

You know what I realised now… (PJO SHOW AND BOOK SPOILERS)

We’ve all been torn over how quickly the golden trio have figured out all of their adversaries and picked out just the right myths to help them succeed with near ease each episode. At no point have they truly been unaware of the danger they are facing. Does not mean they haven’t fumbled on occasion but by in large their encounters with monsters and traps have left them relatively unscathed.

But let us all recall there is still one “monster” left. One danger yet to be uncovered. One that none of them have seen coming. Maybe Percy will piece it together after the Ares fight?? I can’t say for sure.

Imagine how confident they’ve become in picking out exactly what dangers they’ve been facing and the fact that they get to return to camp triumphant in their success only to be met with the ultimate surprise.

Imagine how hard it’s gonna hit when they discover the mastermind behind this whole quest is not a god, or a monster, or a mythological being.

It’s someone who Percy felt confident enough to call his friend after being cast into an unknown world. Who made him feel like he belongs for the first time in his life. Someone Annabeth has looked to as family since she was 7 years old. Someone Grover probably deeply admired for his bravery and his leadership skills.

The one person they felt confident enough to confide in with their suspicions about the true lightning thief, because how could it be him? Charismatic, charming, passionate, kind, natural-born leader.

Imagine how hard it will hit when they realise Luke is the traitor. And all that knowledge and cleverness could never have possibly prepared them for this kind of betrayal.

#spoilers #I too think it’s a bit of a damper that they instantly know every single one of their adversaries #a little tension about exactly who they’re facing never hurt but I guess I do also enjoy that it’s not just Annabeth having all the Greek #myth knowledge and Percy can flex his own understanding #bc Sally is just THAT mom and made sure her boy was prepared #but if we’re going down this route that they know all these characters from legend #then it would make sense that they’re one true blind spot is not a myth at all #how inconceivable that ONE OF THEIR OWN is the true lightning thief #and the fact they haven’t figured it out yet but they’ve figured out KRONOS #is gonna make the reveal that much more bittersweet #Percy jackson #pjo show #pjo show spoilers #Percy jackson spoilers #luke castellan #Rick riordan

Cant believe i brought Home stuck into this whats wrong with me

Small details on why i picked out their classpects (this prolly wont make sense if you dont know HS)

Took that extended zodiac quiz attempting to pick answers they pick and got ones that i actually really like

(I will prolly go into more detail like the metaphorical/homestuck meaning of the aspect n such but i am VERY tired and i need to go bed soon)

Mind was first and his was Light. Pretty obvious why those fit it being Light and Sun but also him being an Heir can connect to him being a ruler/having a crown

Heart fits the bubblyish? type ig of a Witch + Mind constantly insults him say he's manipulative. Witch is an manipulative type class. So kinda makes sense

Also what I love about those, is that Void and Light are opposite aspects. As well as Witch and Heir being opposites. Heir being Passive and Witch being Active. Which also fits with their characters too honestly.

Now Soul ended up Ironically being a Heart player. But makes sense given, in Home stuck, Heart is also/mainly connected to the Soul/affecting the Soul. (Will go into more detail later i am eepy)

Whole was difficult cause 1. None of what i could think of could fit 2. It feels very weird to me to classpect/answer questions as him sense this is technically CJ. So instead i but Heary and Mind togther, fucked around with it and made him have 2 aspects. Im already getting ridiculous making these so why not go the full mile ya know?

He's quite literally, MADE of Heart and Mind. So i just stuck both those unto him. Also, since Soul is a Heart player i felt it'd be fitting for him to be a Heart player as well. But since Soul not entirely Whole, he'd be a Heart player + more, if that makes sense.

Anyways im tired, might update these eventually. I cant believe i homestucked this guys im insane

Nooooooooooooooo the Gollum game is bad? Noooooo! I was looking forward to a good new stealth game! And combined with Tolkien, that would have been terrific. Now I read reviews that sound really discouraging.

Why is it that hardly anyone can do stealth right? I guess when your introduction to the genre was Thief 3, you have unrealistic standards for these games for the rest of your life.

I did like the stealth in Deus Ex 3 though, to cite a semi-recent example of stealth done well! I thought the story and the main character were boring and really everything else was kinda bland, but the stealth was fun, and if a game is fun that's all that really matters. Maybe I should give DX4 a chance now that I have a new laptop.

#i do want to try the gollum game for myself #eventually #but when it says that the stealth consists of ducking into really obvious blind spots of the guards #and throwing stones to distract them that may or may not work #and really nothing else aids your stealth efforts #then that's not encouraging #stealth thrives on the player being allowed to use their environment and their senses in creative ways #the thief games do this excellently well #but hardly any other games do
