thing is, sirius can never say no to james. for james specifically sirius is such a ride-or-die person that it’s honestly a bit embarrassing. but he’s also so honest about what he’s feeling whenever he (willingly and voluntarily, i may add) goes along with whatever hare-brained scheme james comes up with??? like in godric’s hollow james will be frustrated and stalking around, angrily muttering that he ought to fucking, he doesn’t know, seduce the dark lord so he stops being so fucking evil dammit i can’t even go outside without a death eater shoving a curse up my nose, and sirius will go “that’s the most horrifically stupid thing i’ve ever heard you suggest. there are seventy reasons why this won’t work and fifty ways this will end in a horrific bloodbath. fuck’s sake prongs i’m in”.

and because it’s a james-and-sirius team up it somehow will end up fine in the end. like yeah, james and sirius shagged the fascism and racism and other evils out of the dark lord and turned him into like, a nerdy librarian homebody. sure. makes sense. and everybody around them is exhausted by these shenanigans btw
