very pleased to report that one of the major issues with my laptop since it was dropped seems to be a simple fix. now i get to wait and see how bad the other issue(s) are/how much they annoy me

#it was working while plugged in but the power cord wasn't actually recharging the battery it would just stay at 20% battery available #and I wasn't sure if the issue was the power cord the port or the battery itself #so I ordered a new charger for like $12 and now it's charging again! we're at 73% baby!#the other big issue that I've noticed is the speakers are fucked up audio is all fuzzy #but that doesn't happen with headphones #and I don't use the laptop for listening a ton anyway?#might try connecting it to my Bluetooth speaker ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯#irl shenanigans
