Zhanna: reeeeeeoow!!! She’s so gorgoryse . gay as hell about all these women tbh. Yeah I just gave her body hair and thicker eyebrows because it’s cool as fuck. And a bear claw scar from when she tried to take home a baby bear when she was little. I think she really likes bears and wants one as a pet. Maybe the bear and soldier’s raccoons would get along aww <33

Admin: yipppeee evil old lady!!!!! . Gave her acne scars , think she would pick her face when she was younger and the scars never faded. shes so pretty heruhghhsg. She smokes these fucked up super long cigarettes idk. I like her wonky nose, maybe she got into a fight or something and broke it.

Scouts Ma: oh man I have so many ideas for her hehehhe. Okay so her name is Jenny, shes Puerto Rican, moved to Boston when she was a young adult, and she’s around the same height as sniper. She’s green because she’s both the scouts mother, and I didn’t want her to be purple like Pauling and Admin I wanted her to be her own person. Her heart locket contains a bunch of pictures of her boys that all cartoonishly fold out to the floor when she opens it up.

She’s bi and poly, and currently dating both the spies because I think it’s funny. I can’t decide if both the spies would also be dating each other or would hate each other, maybe it depends on the time of day. Oh also she used to be an assassin! Maybe that’s why she had to move because she got found out at her old hometown. Anybody who got too rough with her boys were never seen again, only reason the scouts made it out alive lol.

She’s only recently gotten back together with the spies, had a falling out with Red before she knew she was pregnant, but he wanted to reconnect with her after finding out Red scout was his kid. Blu and her were friends for a really long time, she was the surrogate mother to Blu scout, but they fell out of contact when Blu spy had to take scout and disappear due to some espionage work gone wrong. When both the Blus join the team, the red scout recognized them and Blu spy eventually reconnected with Jen through that.

All of her kids are out of the house and she’s retired, so she has a lot of free time. She hosts foreign exchange students and fosters baby animals. She does a lot of traveling and shopping, she also likes knife and axe throwing, while doing some abstract sculpting on the side.

Maggie:

I love Maggie she’s so interesting,, I really like the panels where she’s laughing with saxton on the plane. Oh yeah gave her a mustache cus she’s Australian!, don’t be shy give the pretty lady a mustache she deserves it. That line on her lip was from this one girl I had a crush on back in high school, she said that she was bullied for it. don’t think I’ve ever seen it on another person since. She was one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met. I hope she’s doing alright. She was a really good friend, real wonderful person.

Merasmus:

hi Merasmus how r u. oh yeah I’m trying out some other designs for her because I’m working on a little animated series about her and a magic spell she fucks up. I want her to be Sumerian because Sumer is so interesting!! I’ve been learning about the art from it in class, check out the Sumerian virtue status or the Epic of Gilgamesh they’re some of my favorite bits of history we’ve learned so far. Oh yeah also I think when she takes off that weird cap thing she has the longest most beautiful curly hair that goes down to her ankles because I love those kind of visual gags hehe. Also yeah she has piercings idk why I did that. I think she’s kinda blind and she uses her skull to see with her magic or whatever. I love her facial expressions in the comics,, have you guys seen the cunty Merasmus poster i love the cunty Merasmus poster

Miss Pauling:

MISS PAULFIJF LETS FUCMIGN GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! She’s got sideburns because im a dyke bleh blehhhh . hshe look at her big ass glasses I’m in love. Oh yeah I gave her lots of moles! And changed up her sleeve colors. Too tired to write much more lol

i'm kinda curious now... what are some of the worst/most ooc takes on the tf2 characters that you've seen 👀👀

I covered this before kinda with my "what does Blu hate about TF2 fanon."

For Sniper. For the rest of the mercs.

To sum it up:

Fandom constantly calling Sniper a Kiwi despite him only being born in Aotearoa and his entire character arc in the comics being "the people who birthed me aren't my real family, the parents who kept and raised me are". The fandom is so fucking weird about immigrants and adoptees. Also people who headcanon him as Aboriginal: I hate you because none of you can even fucking research shit to get it right. If you're Aboriginal and do that you're cool though. Namarnedjare ngudman <3

Twinkified Sniper. He's a sniper and uses a bow, he's going to have strong arms and stronger shoulders, and the comics depict him as lean.

Saying Sniper would smell. None of the fandom understands how important a lack of scent is during hunting, and Sniper is a hunter. Similarly, people headcanoning him as smoking cannabis for this reason. He does shrooms. If he's indulging in some THC that man is eating edibles so the smell doesn't stick to his clothes and skin and hair when he has to hunt.

Sniper being shy. The fandom doesn't understand how dog-eat-dog underground work is. This man would not survive long enough to become a world-renowned assassin if he was shy; also being shy would go completely against his professionalism mantra. He'd do whatever was necessary to get his kill.

Sniper being bothered by the cold. No one in the fandom understands how cold the outback gets during winter. He'd be absolutely fine. Additionally bushmen have to be highly adaptable to survive.

People making Medic evil despite canon pointing to him caring deeply for his team. At most he's chaotic neutral, and his only moment of "manipulation" is when he tricks the literal Devil, which I'm wagering is more than acceptable considering it's literally the Devil. Medic is not your sadistic manipulative monster archetype.

"Demo is abusive/lazy because he's an alcoholic" while ignoring him holding down 3 jobs while being an alcoholic, while ignoring him caring for his mum while being an alcoholic. Just say you hate addicts and go.

Intersex NB Pyro. I've been over it before. As an intersex man, I hate this fucking headcanon so goddamn much.

Infantilising Pyro despite Pyro literally being the CEO of a construction company and bringing in record profits for that quarter. And also being a mercenary PYRO LITERALLY KILLS PEOPLE JUST LIKE THE REST OF THEM.

People ignoring Medic's likely bisexuality in favour of promoting him as a gay man. I don't mean people saying that Medic was never married to start with and that Demo was talking out his arse, I mean people saying Medic's wife was his beard. The bi erasure is real. People treat bisexuality as a "less pure" variant of gay.

Bigoted Engie.

Communist Heavy (his father was literally murdered by the USSR and his family thrown into a gulag in Siberia because he was a counter-revolutionary).

Evil/arsehole Spy. Also people who take Spy too seriously. This bloke cracks "your mum" jokes and snorts when he laughs. Come on. Spy might take himself seriously but that man is not as serious as he thinks he is.

Bigoted Soldier.

People using the time period as an excuse to be a bigot so they can scream about how bad it is to be a bigot. You're still promoting bigotry. This wouldn't be an issue if racism wasn't a centre/scene in practically every fucking Demo fic. I'm kinda tired of seeing marginalised people be brutalised by a fandom so the fandom can virtue-signal about how bad it is to brutalise marginalised people. Can the characters please have some happiness? Or at least some angst that isn't a constant slew of queerphobia/racism/etc?

TF2 Sexualities and Zodiacs

-Scout: "Straight", I can see him being slightly into men but swears likes women and only women. He def radiates Aries vibes

-Soldier: Asexual, ain't no way he's into people sexually (even though he's so cute with Zhanna), I can see him being either a Taurus or Leo

-Pyro: Also asexual but I can also see them being poly but only with women. I feel that they don't like men in general but women are very comforting. Most def a Scorpio, which is ironic cause they're so fire obsessed

-Engie: Either pan or gay, can't really decide. Gives me Libra energy. Also can't stop picturing him being so buff cause of the vids that I keep coming across on Tik Tok and Youtube, plz help

-Heavy: Def gay. Refuse to hear anyone tell me otherwise. Also def a Taurus

-Demo: Pan, constantly makes fun of Scout for being "straight". Probably a Sagittarius or Leo, he's got the confidence for it

-Medic: Also pan, but probably has a preference for men. He's either a Scorpio, Aquarius, or Sagittarius

-Sniper: Bi, probably prefers women over men. Def Capricorn vibes

-Spy: Also bi but no real preference. Homie has to be a Cancer, he IS a crab after all

I’m bored so everyone has to listen to my TF2 headcanons

These are just like general ones btw nothing lore based but I WILL make a post about Sniper and Spy lore based headcanons because I’m obsessed with them. I hope this doesn’t reach the wrong crowd because on a scale from gigachad sigma male - cringe woke sjw I’m certainly up there I won’t even lie.

Anyway I’m starting with Heavy idrk I haven’t thought about him a lot so I’ll just say he’s gay for now

Medic is gay AND trans. I personally think that Medic has the ability to just like attach body parts to people even if they weren’t originally theirs (Sort of like Giorno Giovanna I guess) so hypothetically he could give himself a penis, but I think he’s slaying his boypussy like fr. I definitely think he cut his boobs off though and he’s on T (but I think he kept some boobage because I just do)

I LOVE MS. PAULING. I AM ONE OF THE BIGGEST MS. PAULING FANS AND I THINK SHE IS TRANS TOO. I also think she’s pan and in a T4T relationship with Scout and I am absolutely getting to that later. I think that Ms. Pauling would slay with her girldick but she cut it off anyway for the lolz. She probably gave it to Medic, not in a sexual way she probably just thought he’d find it interesting because he literally has a fridge full of body parts and organs. I think she’s besties with Medic like I think they’re pals and I think Medic gave Ms. Pauling boobs bc she asked (I think they’re besties because I love them both by the way)

Soldier is pan I think because I think he just fucks like. I don’t think he gives a shit as long as he has like a romantic connection to whoever he’s pursuing. I also think he’s trans (he/they) (welcome to my transgender TF2 agenda). I think he has the dick and the balls and the whole 9 yards too.

Welcome to my nonbinary Demoman agenda. Demoman is nonbinary I think (They/He with a preference for they/them) and he is definitely gay like I cannot see him going out with a woman.

Scout is sooo trans. I should honestly just label this post my self-projection tf2 post because I am just like him HE IS JUST LIKE ME FR. Anyway, a total transgender if I may. I think Scout is bi with a preference for ladies and that’s why he’s never really liked anyone on the team except for MS. PAULING 😍 LIKE I DONT EVEN BLAME HIM.

Okay. Some people may get mad at me for this one. But I have this he/it Spy agenda going on,,, and I do, in fact, think he’s gay. I know the logic doesn’t really make sense with Scout’s mom and whatnot but trust me, I have a completely reasonable explanation for that (trust) (that’s for a whole ‘nother post though because it ties into my little SniperSpy universe I’ve installed in my stupid little head) (I forgot to mention Spy is a little transgender with NO bottom surgery)

I think Sniper is cis and bi despite how much I love him there isn’t much else to say about him

I just don’t like Engineer I won’t even bother to include him. You know what, I will, he’s cishet and cringe I don’t like him. Type of mf to say “Ackshually 🤓”

Pyro. I LOVE PYRO. Saved the best for last. Normally I have a lot to say about them but I’m starting to get bored with writing this so I’ll cut it a bit short. @astr1d77 Showed me the light when she first mentioned this. Pyro is nonbinary transfem and aromantic. But I think Pyro likes to appear more masculine but they’re transfem nonbinary I think that’s real. My dad is making chili dog for dinner.

A post I wanna do sometime is like a guess my age based on what’s in my room because my room looks like it was decorated by a 7 year old boy. Not purposefully I just. Have 7 year old boy interests I guess.

I'm out right now, and tonight I have to study for finals, so no big fic/request done (sorry)

so, here are my personal, tf2 sexuality, and interest headcannons.

Scout, as I've mentioned, is trans (ftm) and bisexual. Because, yeah. Mhm. He's into comics, specifically superhero ones like Marvel and Dc. He loves Spider-Man, Captain America, and Shazam. He started transitioning when he was 20. His mother was always supportive of him, plus she knew, he was super masculine when he was young, influenced by all his older brothers, plus, he never really liked the feeling of being a woman anyway. (He/they)

Pyro is transfem, I usually use he/they for them in my work, but that's cause I don't usually put my headcannons in my work. But I think I'll start doing that :)

Pyro uses any pronouns, likes mlp duh, and also has a weird obsession with motorcycles, totally random but it started when engie got him a motorbike one day and then she got super into it.

Soldier doesn't realize it, or cares, but he's pan. Made out with demoman a bunch drunk at a party so everyone knows, but he doesn't ever remember. When asked if he swings both ways, he will give you a slightly confused look. "YES! I GO LEFT, AND RIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?" (He/him)

Demo is bi, that man cannot be straight I'm sorry. Bi, kissed a boy once as a teenager and since then on he's had very strong feelings about men. Feel like he would be kind of androgynous in terms of how he dresses if he had the chance to, idk.

Also he likes books that teach on certain, very specific topics. Hes a weirdly cultured man. (He/him)

Heavy, I feel like would be demiromantic bicurious? like he's thought about it, he doesn't really get along with much people on a personal level, due to him always having to work, and always being feared. And he's had feelings for men, he just always sorta, denied it? in denial, even though the closet is made out of glass.

Heavy likes to woodcarve, and weirdly i think if he tried, hed be good at painting. (He/him)

Engineer is trans (real.) ftm, pansexual. He started transitioning when he was a bit older. His parents weren't supportive at first, but in the end, were proud of the man he became. He likes those wooden sets you buy where you construct your own object with wood! (Music boxes, animals, buildings, I did one of these, it was a music box, and I definitely know he'd like it as a stress reliever or gift. (Any pronouns)

Medic is not straight don't start w me. Androsexual, (if you don't know, androsexuality is being attracted to anything masculine no matter the gender. The opposite is gynosexual, attracted to anything feminine no matter the gender.) He's into masculinity, me thinks.

Likes bird watching and has a weird interest in the strange and unknown, like if YouTube existed he'd be the type to watch those long documentaries on the sea while he works or something. (Any pronouns, but mostly refers to himself as he.)

Sniper, panromantic demisexual. Don't know how to explain, so won't. Also likes to carve with wood, discusses it with Heavy a lot. Started when he was a kid, he'd get bored, go to the woods, and just carve a bunch of stuff. He also likes sweets. won't explain. (Any pronouns)

Spy is bisexual, genderqueer (omg same) does not gaf abt his gender bro, she'd look stunning in a dress. Has an interest in corny poetry, would never admit it, but it's true. (Any pronouns, but mostly He/She)

Ms Pauling is not straight. I don't? know her canon sexuality, I know it was confirmed she isn't straight so...bi? she seems like a bi queen to me 👍 (bis unite) but if I'm wrong definitely correct me

okay so, I actually go back and forth about his sexuality a lot, he’s either bi or gay to me, just kinda depends on the context

bi is self-explanatory, most people see Spy as bi

..now before you come at me with “wait but what about Scout, he can’t be gay!”, I have my reasons

Spy loves Ma, dearly, truly. he would do absolutely anything for that woman if she asked him to and wouldn’t give it a second thought, she’s a very dear friend to him (even in my version of him being Bi and them being together, they’re always very close friends first and foremost)

but he was never IN love with her

Spy admits in his confession to Scout that he was young when Scout was conceived. he met a woman who swooned HIM in ways he didn’t really comprehend and he mistook loving her as being in love with her. he met a woman who managed to sweet talk HIM after he’d been used to having to sweet talk other people in order to con them. not that she did it maliciously, she was just a confident, gorgeous woman who knew how to read people and what to say to them

and things were confusing and complicated and he got scared and he left, but he never left her because no matter what he loved her. it probably took years before they got together in private and had a real talk about what happened and they stayed very close to each other

they never cut contact, even before their talk and Spy opened up to her about his feelings he always made sure to check in with her as often as he could, and she always supported him. they love and care for each other and nothing was ever gonna change that

she will however still tease the shit outta him when they discuss their tastes in men together (*cough*Sniper*cough*)

my experience on the matter is under the cut

I am a gay man, who for many years identified as pan, I have in the past dated a couple fem-aligned people. it does not make me any less of a gay man. I came to realize after having a long conversation with a friend of mine about their identity that I was gay. I realized that I had no attraction to women, but rather I was attracted to the idea of wanting to be friends with certain women.

I didn’t come out as trans until after I was an adult because I missed all the signs. I look back now and I see them, and I also see that I was very much masking my complicated feelings for my gender by telling myself I was attracted to women. I was over compensating in a way, I only felt the way I did because I was also attracted to women. I can’t explain how or why that’s where my mind went, but it did. and I spent a lot of years very confused and it took me a long time to get to how I identify today and for once actually feel comfortable with myself.

my interpretation of Spy being gay comes from that. (minus the trans part because I personally don’t headcanon him as trans but you get my point.)

there’s no evidence whatsoever to support my headcanon, but I don’t really care about that, it’s mine and I’m sticking to it

also I’m not tagging this one bc I don’t expect it to be a very popular headcanon and I don’t know how people will react and I’d rather just avoid dealing with anyone who wants to come at me over it, I’m totally okay with reblogs I just don’t really feel like tagging this

For the record, my interpretation of who’s what in Saxton Hale’s assessment of the team:

Defectives: Potentially all of them as you can’t really consider anyone who enjoys killing people for a living mentally well. But definitely Soldier and Pyro for being overtly insane. Medic might also count as well despite being more functional. Scout potentially for having a low IQ, or at least perceived to have one (I don’t think he’s actually dumb at all, just not Book Smart).

Drunks: Demoman, obviously.

Sex Criminals: Soldier definitely for committing public indecency by fighting in the nude. Potentially Scout if you consider the iffy canonicity of a joke description for a community-made cosmetic about him posing as a high school student to pick up girls when he was 23 (Note it doesn’t actually say he was trying to get dates with high school girls. He could’ve been trying to get with their moms, older sisters, or teachers/coaches). Potentially also Heavy and Medic or any merc who is secretly gay or bi, as sodomy was illegal in both New Mexico and Australia at the time.

War Criminals: Potentially the whole team if we’re just talking about the Gravel Wars since they all kill surrendering enemy combatants among other things. If we’re talking about real wars they may have participated in prior to their mercenary work, then Soldier definitely for going to Europe after the army rejected him and killing random civilians after the war had already ended. Potentially Medic for practicing medicine without a license and conducing illegal experiments and unethical procedures prior to the gravel wars. We don’t really know much of anyone’s history prior to joining the team and whether they participated in WWII, the Korean War, or Vietnam. Spy could’ve done some illegal things to liberate Vichy France, Sniper could’ve taken up political assassination jobs. We can only speculate.

Four Illiterates: Soldier is definitely illiterate. Scout has been shown reading on several occasions, but the fact that he struggles with words like “bomb” and “sub-machine” imply that he’s either dyslexic or under-educated, which would be considered functionally illiterate. Heavy may have a phd in Russian literature, but if he can’t read or write in English he’d also be considered functionally illiterate in English-speaking countries. I’m not sure, but I think it’s implied that Demoman was home schooled after his birth parents reclaimed him from the orphanage. If they were responsible for his education, he most likely wouldn’t have learned to read anything but braille. Another possibility is that Demoman can read, but he’s drunk so often that letters appear blurry to him and he slurs his words when he reads out loud so he’s mistaken for illiterate. A lot of people also say Pyro, but I don’t think there’s that much evidence either way. Pyro is shown reading comic books and newspapers, but there’s no indication they actually understand the writing and don’t just see it as a bunch of squiggly lines. Engie reads him a bed time story in one comic, but that doesn’t prove Pyro couldn’t have read it himself, he might’ve just wanted to hear it from Engie.

Has lots and lots of questions; he is a man of learning and he is determined to fully comprehend every facet of your sexuality. It doesn’t even compute to him that it’s something others would find strange

He nods and continues working. Lol but for real, Ludwig has studied just about every facet of the human being, body and mind, sexuality included. He may understand the textbook definitions and you can elaborate how you discovered this about yourself if you want, but Ludwig doesn’t see you exactly different

He’s understanding and plus side is you won't have to elaborate very much and he respects you regardless of what you identify as

To Ludwig it’s not particularly a huge deal, although he appreciates the courage it took to come out to him

Scout

Not gonna lie, it might take a bit for him to get it. He’s kinda like “Both is an option?!” Like you just might lead him to his own Bi awakening. He was raised in Boston, which is like one of the most Catholic places EVER, and whatever feeling he had for the same sex he compansated with trying to get with the opposite.

He respects the hell out of you for being so open about it, and will take a bat (or fish) to anyone who tries to give you shit! You are his badass s/o and you can do whatever you want! Including liking dudes and chicks! (As long as you like him most)

Jeremy needs a bit of time to understand it in full, but after he gets it is like, obnoxiously supportive of you

Spy

You think this frog is straight? Lol. Jacque kinda figures, pulling deductions himself. Honestly was more worried you were going to break up with him when you said you two needed to talk and was hella relieved that you were just coming out to him

He understands that it takes guts to confess something like that, and to someone like him who remains annoyingly vague on where he stands on certain issues. He tells you he is proud of you for telling him and that he sees now as more of a stronger person for being able to be honest to yourself

Jacque is easily the most understanding out of all the mercs and appreciates your company more after coming out to him

Sniper

You say it suddenly and without prompt and spits out his coffee in surprise. After regaining his composer, he asks again for what you said and to elaborate. After you do, he takes a moment to digest all the information. He’s a sniper and a bushman, part of his expertise is being able to think and make decisions quickly

He decided to respond with, “Neat,” and goes back to whatever he was doing. Mick has met loads of people through his line of work, he’s not exactly shy to those who walk a different line. You’re still you, he just knows more about you now.

He’s not put off by it at all, and he tells you he appreciates that you told him. He ensures you that your trust was not misplaced and he thinks that being open with each other like that is going to deepen the bond between you

Soldier

Once it hits him that what you're telling him isn’t something that you tell just anyone, he treats it like the next national secret. He kinda simplifies your confession to “You like men and women but you’re with me” and he accepts it.

If anyone finds out and gives you hassle for it, Jane is NOT afraid to yell at the harasser until he’s blue in the face. There ain’t nothing wrong with liking ALL Americans! Even if Jane isn’t 100% knowledgeable about the complexities of your sexuality, he still respects it cuz he respects you

Best person to tell if you don’t want anyone to know; Jane takes his relationship with you VERY seriously and won’t ever do something on purpose to betray your trust. And if you want to come out to everyone, he’s right behind you! Emotionally, and physically, staring down all the others to make sure no one starts shit with his s/o

Heavy

After you come out, Mikhail is silent for a moment, then pulls you into a bear hug. He’s a little weepy, going over how much he loves you and how all this is is you showing him another wonderful part of yourself, and how it's wonderful because it's a part of you.

He’s read all sorts of books and stories about authors struggling with their sexuality, most of them not ending well, and he wants to let you know that whatever you are is great and that you are loved still. If your parents rejected you or you have bad experiences coming out to other people, Misha is overshadows all their hate with his all encompassing love

He just loves you so much it's adorable and ridiculous. All he wants is for you to be happy and to feel safe around him

Demo

Tavish takes a moment to absorb the information. He gets that your sexuality is important to you, and you telling him is a huge sign of trusting him, and he takes that very seriously. He feels almost bad for not having something as big as that to tell you in return so you’ll be on even ground again

He tells you he understands and he thanks you for telling him, he seems solemn for once and you understand he’s taking this extremely seriously. Tavish values your trust above all and this is like a sign to him that your relationship is now serious

Will straight up explodes anyone who bothers you about your sexuality. He’s earned the right to know by getting to know you and no asshole at the bar gets to belittle you for something you take pride in. He fucking adores you and no one gets to be a dick to you

Pyro

Pyro loves you no matter what! You could be bi, straight, hell, a serial killer for all he cares, all they care about is they you two are together

Doesn’t really understand why you were so worried about telling them. Once you explain that others dislike/hate you just because your bi, they become kinda quiet and have a moment of, “I’m going to protect you with my life now cuz the world is shittier than i even imagined.” You’re his s/o, you could do no wrong. Ergo, being bi isn’t wrong

Loves you regardless of what your sexuality is, but doesn’t understand the importance of it to you. Totally willing to burn some jag off who gives you shit as a symbol of his devotion to you

- I didn’t do the gender fluid because i am not 100% certain upon the semantics of it (not that I don’t respect it) so i just stuck to the bi thing cuz as one, I’m more acquainted with it-

the best and worst books i read in school!

ever since 5th grade, i’ve been reading novels in school. with the end of high school looming (and today being the last day of classes), i’ve decided to list the ultimate show stoppers and the bird droppers. let’s begin! :D

the best of 5th grade- maniac magee! i don’t remember much about it besides the twinkie things (which actually exist at walmart!) and shipping maniac and the girl character. my 5th grade teacher reading it made it so much better :D we also read ‘chains’, which is about a slave girl names isabel going to freedom. it’s a very powerful book and the sequel, ‘forge’, which is about a freed soldier boy named curzon, is just as amazing! ‘esperanza rising’, the story of a girl named esperanza who moves from mexico to california during the great depression, is pretty great too from what i remember!

the worst of 5th grade- idk what else we read in 5th grade besides those three (technically four) books. it could’ve been an iconic book year! (it was already an iconic school year)

the best of 6th grade- drums, girls and dangerous pies! it’s an interesting story of a high schooler named steve dealing with a crush and his little brother’s cancer, yet there’s actually a happy ending! the end is really iconic since steve says ‘i-’ to his brother jeff and it’s clearly ‘i love you’ but it cuts off! bonus points to ‘the cay’, a story of a boy named phillip who ends up on a raft with a man named timothy and a cat named stew cat. it’s a neat adventure and timothy saying ‘malar!’ is an earworm of a phrase

the worst of 6th grade- HOLY FRICK ‘THE HATCHET’ IS THE MOST BORING BOOK EVER WRITTEN!!! it’s about this kid who gets stranded in the forest and there’s this skunk pal, so you’d think it would be like ‘the cay’ BUT IT’S NOT IT’S SO FREAKING DULL OMG!!!! bonus points to ‘the gadget’ which starts out cool BUT THEN THE MAIN CHARACTER(also called steve!)’S FRIEND ALEXI TURNS OUT TO BE A SPY AND TRIES STABBING HIM LIKE WOAH THESE KIDS ARE ELEVEN YEARS OLD STOP DOING THAT WTF!!!! if you thought the double digit chapter was bad... oh boy! also ‘boy in the striped pajamas’ was good but very depressing! :(

the best of 7th grade- tom sawyer! this is about a boy and his southern adventures. it was a great story, but the movie is one of my fave live action movies ever!! they say the book is better than the movie but the movie is miles better and it’s so cute!!! bonus points to ‘the giver’, which is about a boy named jonas who meets an old man who shows him life in a better world (and there’s a baby). jonas and the giver were very sweet together and i love how jonas and the baby escape their dystopian society at the end!

the worst of 7th grade- call of the wild! it’s about a sled dog named buck who goes on a wild adventure in the arctic. it’s not a bad book, but the movie was so cheesy and it focused on the humans WHY THO???

the best of 8th grade- the outsiders! it’s about a greaser named ponyboy who runs away with his friend johnny after johnnycake kills a soc named bob. pb and the other greasers were such great characters and the story was so interesting! i also liked how the story is set in tulsa, where my grandpa lived. the outsiders fandom is a lot of fun and i’m so glad the story became one of my faves! :D bonus points go to ‘the diary of anne frank’, which we only read the play, so i sought out the whole book and wow anne’s story is so tragic and inspiring! more bonus points to ‘the good earth’, which is about a man in china and has an awesome movie to it (despite having white actors) and ‘twelfth night’, which is a funny shakespeare play about a girl named viola who disguses herself as a man named cesario. it’s full of romance, laughter and a hot feste singing voice (in the 1987 audiobook at least). and olivia is definitely bi ;)

the worst of 8th grade- animal farm! it’s about an orwell dystopian society (hmm...) but in a barn with animals. it’s not bad, but many of the animals were jerks except old major and the 1999 movie we watched was so cringy! (and the beasts of england song was changed which wasn’t cool)

the best of 9th grade- the odyssey! it’s the ancient greek story of odysseus, a soldier who goes on an epic adventure to get home. the book was alright, but the movie was awesome and the movie ‘o brother where art thou’ (which is based on the story) is really great too! harrison burgeron, a dystopian society with a bad boi, was awesome too because i remember seeing the short film of it in 7th grade. ‘to kill a mockingbird’, which is about a girl named scout living in the segregated south, is really great as well! i loved how it was set in the 30s and scout was so much fun! (i’m a bit bummed at how we didn’t get to see the movie tho). ‘romeo and juliet’ is shakespeare’s most iconic work, being a tale of two star crossed lovers in fair verona. i really enjoyed the story(not the d jokes tho) and it inspired me to write a story set in 1596 (when the play was made)! i take back what i said about 5th grade being iconic 9TH GRADE WAS SO ICONIC YAS!!!!!

the worst of 9th grade- the scarlet ibis! it’s about a boy who takes care of his sick brother named doobie and tries to make him ‘normal’. it’s sweet how the iris symbolizes the brother, but how they die at the end is so sad! ‘the sniper’ wasn’t that good but the plot twist of the sniper guy shooting his brother was neat (also the ‘romeo + juliet’ movie wasn’t that good besides mercutio)

the best of 10th grade- a thousand splendid suns! the most recent book i’ve read, it’s about two women named mariam and laila who live in the afghanistan as the taliban take over. their story is so inspiring and i love how laila was able to be happy after all the horrifying things she went through with rasheed. mariam sacrificing herself for laila by killing rasheed was very powerful and i wish the stage version had her in it. bonus points go to ‘lord of the flies’! a group of boys are stranded on an island and there’s much boy chaos involved. it’s a great story and the fandom was too!

the worst of 10th grade- where are you going where have you been! this is about a girl named colleen who meets a guy named arnold friend. he’s very creepy and it’s an uncomfortable story to read (even more than rasheed!). equal bonus points to ‘the red bow’, a confusing story of a dead girl, a dog and red bows that i still don’t understand!

the best of 11th grade- the crucible! it’s about a girl named abigail who gets swept up in the salam witch trials. it’s a fascinating story with real life elements (rip giles) and the movie was pretty good. ‘the great gatsby’ was also a great story about how the roaring 20s wasn’t as fun as it seemed through the story of gatsby, all told through the eyes of nick

the worst of 11th grade- into the wild! this is a study sync thing, but we did a lot of those compared to novels. it’s about chris mccandles, a guy who tried surviving in a van in alaska and died, making a terribly tragic tale. ‘an incident at owl creek’ was ok but the best part was the plot twist of the guy running to his wife and being hung right before he can touch her (we saw the twilight zone ep instead of reading it and the twist was *chef’s kiss*)

the best of 12th grade- 1984!!! it’s the story of a dreamer named winston, who lives in the dystopian world of oceania. he meets a girl named julia and the two have a secret love affair, but they soon find out that no one is safe under the eye of bb. it’s terrifying tale that’s a bit depressing, but there are so many little moments that make me smile and the movie is even better. winston is relatable in some ways, julia is awesome and julston is a pretty great ship! it’s a big improvement over animal farm and it’s definitely my favorite adult story. bonus points go to ‘rime of the ancient mariner’, which is about an old sailor recounting his unfortunate journey at sea. the mariner telling his story to a random wedding guest was funny and it was an adventure like the odyssey! another round of bonus points to ‘beowulf’, an ancient norse tale of a warrior who fights a monster named grendel. the parts of the 2007 movie we saw sucked, but the story was really cool! wiglaf gets a shout out because he’s the best warrior :) another half bonus point to ‘hunger games’, which we saw the movie of. it’s about a girl named katniss who competes in a competition called the hunger games, which makes for a thrilling adventure!

the worst of 12th grade- hamlet! all of what we read this year was really good, but someone had to be last. this shakespearean tale is of hamlet, a prince who seeks revenge >:) it’s an ok story and i like the ghost dad!

now for my all time favorites! (and least faves)

the best of the best!- 1984, the outsiders, a thousand splendid suns, the diary of anne frank, the odyssey, romeo and juliet, to kill a mockingbird, twelfth night, harrison burgeron, rime of the ancient mariner and the good earth (along with the tom sawyer/1984 movies and hunger games)

good or bad, the books i read throughout school were amazing and i can’t wait to see what college brings! :D

Warning : My HCs may line up w/ other’s unintentionally !! I read a lot of people’s on here ! And for grammar mistakes. It’s 1am.

Scout

Personal Opinion on this mans: I think his character is overall pretty neat. Reminds me a lot of my younger brother, though. However, in the game, I hate him. He can fuck off. Lags my computer.

- Sexuality: I see him as like, defensively straight. He’s actually bi curious BUT you cannot tell that to anyone. “I just sucked yo dick? Well, no homo then.”

When he is in front of a girl he likes (Miss Pauling), he will most definitely show off. Whether that being shooting someone’s brains out, or just runnin’ fast.

Toxic Masculinity? Ha. Look it up in the dictionary and his face is there as an example.

Annoying Younger Brother Energy™

Thrives off his ma’s compliments. He’s a mama’s boy after all.

- Casual Outfit: Probably what he wears in the field. Maybe different pants ? He would also be the type that either washes himself every day, or once every week. No in between.

Is banned from places like a mall, KFC, McDonald’s, Walmart. You name it.

Has really bad eye sight but won’t admit it.

Even if TF2 is like set in the 1900s, Scout uses emoticons like “B)” and “8^)” while texting.

Would most definitely make Kandi bracelets with Pyro. You cannot change my mind. I don’t take criticism on that one. Nope.

Does stupid “ligma” and “Joe Mama” jokes. Also “yo mama”. (Don’t insult his mother though. Then it isn’t cool anymore.)

Looks at engineer as a father figure. One of the only stable older men who gives dad vibes. (I do HC that Spy is Scout’s Father.)

He’s the favorite child out of his siblings. Just because it always seems to be the youngest who gets liked more. (I’m just a bitter bitch because I am the oldest out of my siblings.)

Like my band director says “People don’t like quiet, so we try to fill it with noise.” Very true for Scout.

Soldier

Personal Opinion: Gives me very strong grandpa energy. I also play him whenever there are enough medics on the team.

- Sexuality: Do it matter when the man only loves one woman? That woman being Russian, related to Heavy, and named Zhanna. He also loves his raccoons but not in a sexual way.

Loves trying out really stupid things with Demoman and sometimes Engineer. Bottle with an explosive in it? HIT HIM UP.

He once only ate a single cherry pie for an entire month, or so he claims.

Is very picky on textures. Especially when it comes to food.

He probably had a rough childhood. He also probably sees the TF2 crew as his family and treats him as such. Maybe not in what we normally think on how we would treat family, but in his own fucked up way.

Really intrigued by plants.

Personal Opinion : Okay so I said I “Simp” for him. Wrong word. More or less a comfort character. Reminds me a lot of my father. I also play him sometimes. Not a lot.

OH MAN FINALLY I CAN ANSWER THIS!!! alright so the scout (real name: jeremy) okay the basic story is he was born the youngest of 8 brothers from the south side of boston. from a young age he learned to solve problems with his fists but as the smallest of his brothers he was always the last to make it to street fights, only managing to get in punching distance after the fight was over. so he trained himself to be faster than anyone else so he could be first in! he joined the mann co mercenary team at age 19 and is the youngest merc, being around 26 as of the most recent story comic ‘the naked and the dead’.

scout is hyper, loud, snarky, and thinks very highly of himself: overall pretty annoying, just like he is to fight against in game. but he’s a fun character with a romantic streak (he has a crush on his boss’s assistant ms pauling and when he thought he had only three days left to live he spent it preparing to ask her on a date) and a weird obsession with tom jones (he has a misspelled ‘sex bom’ tattoo on his chest apparently and has spent much of his mercenary money on tom jones memorabilia in hopes of making a profit when he dies). he also likes drawing and baseball!

in the ‘meet the spy’ video we learn that his mother and the spy are romantically involved or at least were at some point, leading many to speculate the spy is his dad! scout absolutely refuses to acknowledge this as a possibility and is in full denial, even claiming tom jones is his dad (despite only being like 5 years older than him) and getting very defensive when suggested otherwise. hell it seems like most of the team thinks/knows this, or at least heavy and sniper do.

i was about to summarize all of the comics here but i think i’ll let you read them yourself since they’re good and fun! in other random trivia he likes fried chicken, cannot read well beyond a basic elementary level, and when gibbed in game there’s a 1/100 chance of a dove flying out of the gore in reference to the final scene of the ‘meet the medic’ video! and this is more hc territory but adhd trans bi king!!!!! he’s probably my favorite merc but i could be biased bc hell yeah boston babey!!!!! also i love idiot bastards
