I saw someone ( @paprikko-lol ) do an au where morro and nya were like halves of wojira or some shit. Anyway have some storm cousins. Essentially Nya goes to benthomar for help and they’re able to use wojira’s sea amulet to give her a merlopian body(plus part dragon cuz I headcanon that Kai and Nya are descendants of dragons). And because morro’s soul dissolved into the sea, he ended up merging with the storm amulet and was given a keeper (aka Kojira,(not so) fun fact: they’re literally just called Keepers in canon) form.

Oh and I definitely revel in the fact that technically Nya is a topless transfem demi girl. And it can’t be considered nudity cuz she has no nipples HA! But yeah, gills on the ribs is my favorite thing.

Everything else is just a drawing of everyone coping with different forms of disassociation, from being a ghost, the full fucking ocean, and an evil dictator. Oh and there’s CJ “baby wu” taking a nap on his previous life’s sons reanimated form, turned his young uncle (Morro is essentially 17 here)

I’ll eventually get around to translating my handwriting, but my elbow is fucking killing me. Carpal tunnel fucking sucks

I'm headcanoning rn that the ninja all have anxiety tics and they flare up at various times

In the same way that tics will make you involuntarily jerk or speak, theirs involve involuntary power use

Nya has had to stop the entire place from burning down when Kai accidentally flings a fireball

Jay has surged multiple appliances while trying to use them normally

Cole has accidentally made holes in the nearest surfaces including walls, floors, and furniture

Zane has frosted himself on accident

Nya has had to apologize for squirting water on someone

Lloyd has gloves he wears when he has bad periods because the damage from multiple energy balls in a row was just too much

What's funny is I think we all forget that in the most morbid of situations, Nya somehow one ups Zane everytime.

Yeah, Zane died once. (And I'm talking full length, complete destruction, not whatever temporarily shutting down would count as.)

Nya died TWICE, however. She died by poison AND lost her entire humanity and consciousness to the sea.

Yeah, Zane committed a genocide on a whole realm.

Nya effectively killed the residents of 2 WHOLE REALMS by destroying the Preeminent AND in turn collapsing Djinjago.

Honestly one dynamic that I REALLY REALLY wish we ever get to see if Kai & Nya & Zane just being there, existing.

The untapped potential of Anger Issues duo and the calm guy sounds fantastic, not to mention the amazing fighting scenes we could get as a result of it

so, the mk found fam are just all around wonderful and just are a family. the show itself makes it obvious that Mk and Mei are not romantic interests and in fact are just platonic best friends, and dare I say, siblings. Tang and Pigsy are just married, its not canon but, c'mon, its obvious if you look at them. They're also just the dads of the group, Pigsy outright raising Mk and Tang calling himself "kinda like a father figure" to Mei. Sandy is Pigsy's old friend and now he's the uncle of the group and the crazy cat lady at the same time, Mo is his therapy cat and is always with Sandy, do not separate them. Not much of a rant but tbf all that's in my head when i think about them is just "EUEUEUEU".

My Ninjago Headcannons! (some of them are actually cannon, but idc)

• Jay has naturally red-ish, curly hair and decided to not try to tame it and grew it out starting at Season 8; extremely high pain tolerance (relating to Skybound); ADHD, and lots of energetic outbursts; he can be smart when he really needs to; self-esteem issues; good with anything mechanical; very curious + clever; video game genius; listens to kahoot music on repeat

• Cole isn't very flexible (compared to the other ninjas) because of his muscular body; sweet-tooth; loves food, not very good at cooking, ofc; loves playing and listening to music; good taste in music; literally the BFG; makes a good father figure; really kind; gets back at anyone who hurts people he cares about; literally besties with Kai; grounded and down to earth

• Nya, like Cole, is a terrible cook; tends to rant a lot; Kai's babysitter when he gets mad; sharp, pointed features; EXTREMELY stubborn; exceptional with hands-on situations, but not really good with technical and mentally challenging situations; pretty intense

• Lloyd is also Kai's babysitter when he gets mad; has an extreme sweet-tooth, which outstands even Cole's, because of his Oni heritage; the Responsible One™; somewhat energetic, like Jay; DON'T GIVE HIM COFFEE WHATSOEVER; gets teased by most of the ninja for his short height; has the mentality of a child

• Kai has a, surprisingly, good sense in fashion, and is good at doing hair; hot-headed, ofc; average cook; loves to fight, and is pretty good at it; average cook; Overly Protective Older Brother™; sharp, pointed features; terrible dancer; jumps to conclusions and miscommunicates a lot more than the average person; loves roasting people, but mostly Jay though; kinda stupid; insanely extroverted

• Zane has a very sweet personality; if there was an award for "Best Smile" he'd definitely win it; despite being the smart and logical character, he ends up being the wildly oblivious; pretty tall; accidently roasts people really hard; quite an agreeable person; has most control over his elemental powers out of all of the ninja

Kai is a loser but he’s still quite popular among the ladies, he courted skylor first before courting cole (he got rejected by skylor lol)

Jay and Nya are at ‘we like each other but we dont want to be serious yet’ level

Zane and Pixal are childhood sweethearts but they just have crushes on each other rn becus both of them are shy hehe

Skylor likes Nya here but hides it cause she knows Nya likes Jay, she’s just content with hanging out and being rivals with her

Lloyd is younger than everyone on the group, they all met when they got in trouble for different reasons ( kai by skipping school, jay by hacking into the teacher’s computer systems, cole by getting in trouble with the students next door, nya by breaking a sport equipment because of anger issues and lloyd by punching a kid)

Garmadon is the principal of their school, he’s doing everything that he can to not expel lloyd’s friends (that meant that they all need to do community service to stay)

Wu has a Sari-Sari shop where they hang out, the ninja gets free snacks if they helped him

Vania and Cole are besties they do their hair together, make bracelets and even gossip about latest drama

Jay and Kai were enemies in elementary school, they always fight alot but became friends when nya invited him into their home

Kai got held back by one grade thats why he and Nya are classmates now

Cole always brings the most delicious food during lunch thats why he brings a big ol lunchbox so he can share with his friends

Lloyd usually goes to kai for help with his subjects but sometimes getting help from him is causing his grades go down, thats why he goes to zane and nya now

Okay look you don't understand, The Pre-Pilots Kai book does things to my brain that I couldn't even imagine-

I already adore Kai and Zane and their show dynamic but this fucking book takes it to a WHOLE new level, like "Jay and Cole are best friends" levels when it comes to dynamic.

I've said a million times and I'll say it again, Kai gets Zane like no one else, he has a particular soft spot for the guy the other ninja didn't have at the time, and I'd argue even nowdays he still has that soft spot, and I'd assume vice versa as well.

And just, aghhg7abflnwofm

They both are so amazing I love them, Zane might not fully understand Kai, and the guy probably stood out to Zane immediately because he's so god damn out there and Loud and angry and all that-

But even if he's bad at emotions, he's smart enough to know that it's out of deep care and worry...

"I envy you"

HE FUCKING KNOWS KAI IS LIKE THAT BECAUSE HE'S SO WORRIED ABOUT NYA GET OUT-

Then suddenly, it's turned 180 when Kai wonders why Zane even envys him.

How can you envy someone that just lost their family member?

Answer: You don't even have family to begin with.

Like the secretly ever caring guy he is, Kai goes:

"I've been so caught up with my own problems, I never stopped to think about what his might be."

At that moment, Kai realised that despite everything, he has a luxury that Zane might never be able to expiernce (within the context of The Pilots, ignore "Tick Tock" for now), and he can't even imagine his life without any family.

That, in Kai's mind, is hard to comprehend fully, "Wouldn't that be at least a little distracting?"

Oh how we'd come to eventually understand SO CLEARLY if you've read the Zane Pre-Pilots book and watched Tick Tock, as a matter of fact, that that's possibly the most distracting thing ever for Zane, he constantly thinks about his past, and Kai managed to make that good assumption purely off of Zane's explanation of his very brief past.

And if that wasn't already bad enough for my brain rot-

Since they have time, why not and try solve Zane's issues with him?
