they act like a rough and tumble crew but they care about each other sososomuch. esp meta knight he acts all Cool and Heartless and Lone Wolf etc etc but secretly he’s a huge softie who loves his crew so much. one time in one of the books iirc a random kid joined their crew and he was like “tch. whatever” and then the kid gets kidnapped and he immediately gets depressed and angst and goes to fight the strongest warrior in the galaxy bc he thought he wasn’t strong enough to protect his crew. in another one of those books he almost dies and ends up in a coma and the whole crew is worried sick about him. i love them all so much

this got deleted bc my phone hates me so i’m gonna be less detailed bc i don’t wanna rewrite the whole thing again but basically. they act tough but they all actually care about each other sosososmuch. meta knight esp. one time a random kid joined their crew and got kidnapped by pirates, he angsted over it then decided to summon the Stongest Fighter In The Galaxy to fight bc he wasn’t strong enough to protect his crew. one time he has a near-death experience and the whole crew is worried about him. i think vul cries at one point. these are both things that happened in the light novels btw, (@nyaagolor has a tl masterpost iirc if ur interested)

Team Dark:

all loners that stick together, all selfish pursuing their own desires at the cost of others yet sometimes throwing away there own desires for each other.

Not much is known about them, but they’re 4 little dudes just being in a gang together. Here’s a list of their names from the image: the one with the hat is Daroach, Storo is the big blue one with the eyepatch, Spinni is the yellow one, and Doc is the one in the flying saucer. The pink guy carrying the chest is Kirby(he’s not a member of the Squeak Squad). The little mouse things at the bottom and in the background are the Squeaker. Squeakers arent really part of the family, they are more like Henchmen

Team Bleck:

VILLAIN FOUND FAMILY I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THEYRE SO GOOD MAN C'MON... Dimentio is a bitch and Mr. L was kinda brain washed into it but overall they all genuinely have such fun dynamics even Mr L and Dimentio involved, Tragic Wants the world to die Count, the devious little shit that is the insane Fool, the secretary who is in love with a man who loves another, the big lug who just wants to chunk up the place but cares for blecky boy, the beautifully mildly terrifying shapeshifter who can be a giant spider abomination, and the brave brainwashed mechanical genius! You can even add in tippi as an honorary member because shes bleck's fiance :]

Oh man where do I start. Evil team with the power of friendship. Dimentio reading everyone’s diaries. Nassy and Mimi and O’Chunks forming their own mini found family after Dimentio and Bleck are gone.

Future Light Alliance propaganda! These are complex, century old enemies come together under a common banner to banish back a very literal Darkness from their world, setting aside centuries of hate and rivalry and finding friendship and strength in each other. Like this shit runs deep.

They are! Such! A family!! Banica is literally the sinner of gluttony that decides to eat herself and becomes the demon of gluttony due to it. Carlos is loyal as FUCK and may or may not encourage Banica's cannibalism via cooking people for her. Arte and Pollo very encourage the cannibalism and hunt down everything that Banica could ever want to consume (which is everything.) They traveled through different worlds and ate them until there was nothing left!! They kicked the shit in of a lot of bastards!!! They're amazing!!!! They Family!

Qifrey’s Atelier:

It's just 2 gay dad's doing their best to raise 4 preteen girls. They teach them magic, and how to cook, and that they are so very loved, no matter what.

Supposedly Qifrey is the magic teacher assigned to these four girls, and Olruggio's job is to keep an eye on Qifrey. The girls stay at Qifrey's Atelier (basically like a tiny school) and they live there. HOWEVER, ACCORDING QIFREY HIMSELF (and many of the other kids and Olruggio) THEY CONSIDER THE ATELIER TO BE "HOME". Olruggio and Qifrey act as paternal figures and basically raise them. They live on the countryside, despite living in cities being the norm. Olruggio does his job very poorly because of his bias towards Qifrey, being his roommate/best friend/husband, every shady thing that Qifrey makes he lets it slide. There's also have a whole spin off dedicated to them cooking nice meals for the girls. They also have a pet: a fluffy small creature known as brushbug.

So they are basically a found family of gay cottagecore witches.

Golden Deer:

You could technically submit any of the three houses and have them fit but I feel like none of them quite embody the spirit of found family like the Golden Deer. Other than being from the same place, there's nothing that inherently connects them to each other. There are a lot of barriers between them, class, upbringing, trauma. But despite all that they manage to come together in their own messy way. Their route is all about the importance of unity and coming together despite any differences that might exist and they show the strength that comes from embracing diversity.

The OG Greil Mercenaries from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance contain; Team Dad Greil and his two biological kids Ike and Mist, Team Mom Titania (who has been called Mom by at least one mercenary), a cranky wind mage named Soren who is literally only with the group because Ike gave him a sandwich once, a priest Rhys who Titania found sick and dying by the side of the road and proceeded to adopt, Mia who for reasons known only to herself decided to make Rhys her eternal rival, an asshole archer Shinon who only likes two people (Rolf and Gatrie) and would sell your soul to the devil for one corn chip, Gatrie who thinks he's smoother than he actually is, and a trio of brothers Oscar, Boyd, and Rolf who are trying to make their way in the world after the death of their father.

The development of crime team into crime family over the course of the show is beautiful.

They’re a bunch of thieves who are basically modern day Robin Hood and fuck over big corporations and give money back to people who have been hurt (fuck capitalism lets go) and at the beginning none of them trust each other, because they’re all thieves, but over 5 seasons they care for each other and get to know each other in a way that they haven’t been able to do with anyone else in a long time, they all start off as jaded loners and within the span of one episode say ‘fuck that’ and actively seek out the others to work together, even though each members MO is ‘I work alone’

They all looked at a white man and said “Hey, we are now gonna do crimes for the little people and your gonna help whether you like it or not”. They also have really interesting stories and take care of one another but not in a pushing I need to know way. They are just the best!

Hayakawa Family: Denji, Aki Hayakawa, Power

Sea Salt Family: Isa, Lea/Axel, Roxas, Xion

Hayakawa Family:

They are so special to me AUGH I love them so much. Denji and Power are the chaos siblings and Aki is the older brother who has to deal with their shenanigans. They canonically live together and Denji just straight up said that he views Power as his younger sister. They are so Family it's painful. Denji's dad committed suicide and no one knows his mom, Aki's whole family died tragically, and Power is a fiend which means she wouldn't have any relatives anyway. Then they got put in a devil hunting division together and Denji (who lived in a shed) and Power (who had no home) were assigned to live in Aki's apartment, and from then on it's history. I don't expect them to win, as much as I hope they do, but I'm glad I found this tournament that I could submit them in!

whats better than coworkers being forced to live together until they love each other? sometimes a family is a 16 year old boy that was kidnapped by the government for having a chainsaw head, the most egotistical possessed corpse in existence, and an overworked 20 year old with depression and homemaking skills. they have one last name between them and thats all they really need.

Sea Salt Family:

isa and axel are childhood friends-to-enemies-to-lovers. the reason they drifted apart is because axel practically adopted roxas and xion when they were in a cult and isa didnt like that. because theyre not supposed to have emotions (its a long story) and isa felt like axel was abandoning him and their other friend who was being used for human experimentation. eventually xion found out that she was draining roxas's life force and they couldnt both exist. so roxas kills her and then EVERYONE FORGETS HER. then roxas goes back to sora (again, long story but he basically doesnt exist anymore except for when his feelings make sora sad) and now axel's alone. hes sad :( and then he dies and comes back as a normal person with Emotions (tm) but isa didnt. and now isa's working with the bad guys except not actually because he's working on getting roxas and xion back for his bf. at the end of the game they have a very Emotional scene where isa dies in axel's arms and admits his jealousy and in the softest voice says "see you, lea" and then he fades but in the end cutscene he's actually fine now! (long story) and hes eating ice cream with his boyfriend's adoptive kids
