Based off it and other webtoons I've read, I have come to the conclusion that there are platonic yanderes who uses fashion and clothing to make you a part of their group. Platonic yandere Diasomnia with papa Lilia and Malleus, Sebek, and Silver as your siblings.

•Papa Lilia definitely urges you to start wearing the trademark green eyeshadow. You suck at makeup? He'll gladly apply it on you!

Sebek is such a fusser when it comes to making sure you’re presentable. He’s always making sure each hair strand is in the perfect place and complaining that you can’t keep your uniform tidy whilst fixing it up for you. It wasn’t even really out of place but he just secretly likes being able to help you ‘look the part’ in any way possible

Malleus brings you a new accessory at least once or twice a week, you even had to get some large organisers to help you keep track of them all. And he absolutely adores being able to place the jewellery on you himself, his heart swelling with pride when you compliment the accessories

Silver is so quiet that you’ve almost had a heart attack multiple times when he comes up behind you to fix something on your uniform or if your hair is slightly undone. You’re honestly so close to putting a little bell on him to help you notice when he’s approaching but then you’d realise that he’s almost always only a few steps behind you

Belphie I can see that the reader's "duties" other than learning about fae culture, hobbies of the fae nobility, and also the skills needed to mingle in the high of society of Briar Valley it's definitely maintaining the relationship between Malleus and other people.

It totally makes sense because you interact with the other dorm leaders often and you're easier to approach. Malleus is intimidating, Sebek's too loud, Silver sleeps a lot, while Lilia is busy as a vice dorm leader and his music club. ALSO, THE INVITATIONS. Making sure that Malleus receives his invitation and comes on time because he has a totally different sense of time and somehow the other Diasomnia members forgot to give him his invitation (in the manga it's Sebek). It's a practice for the future, no? After all as the king's favorite handmaiden you'll be seen in public with him.

And of course, keeping Malleus company and making him happy! Handmaidens in a royal's inner circle acts as good companions. You occasionally gave him your homemade ice cream too :D

The thing is that when it comes to helping Malleus with his social relations and keeping him happy, Diasomnia doesn't necessarily have to push you into this because it's a way of showing your gratitude to Malleus because he's so nice to you (he's better at taking care of you compared to Crowley). However, it definitely confuses a lot of people. Especially a royal like Leona, and those who are used to serving others like Jamil and Ruggie. ⭐

You’re so right about maintaining Malleus’ relationships!! You’ve been made aware by many people within Diasomnia how Malleus never gets invited places and nobody ever approaches him and Lilia is even so bold as to directly hint that you could potentially be his in to many places. So whenever your friends or other dorm leaders mention gatherings or parties, you subconsciously start to ask if Malleus will be allowed to join and even start inviting people to events you’ve planned yourself in the hopes of helping Mal make some more friends. You think you’re just being a good friend and helping him branch out, but really you’re being the peacemaker and conversationalist for him and the boys are so happy about how easily you adapted to your role

I can also just imagine him getting texts and stuff and having to ask you what the most appropriate response is. You end up ghostwriting most of his texts and your cover was almost blown once when you referred to Azul as bestie when posing as Mal 😭😭

Oh and Leona definitely thinks something is up ngl. He can just tell that the Diasomnia boys are prepping you for the role, but he just can’t be bothered to get involved and question it, it’s really none of his business anyways and too much effort. Jamil is in a similar boat but he’s just got his hands too full with his duties to Kalim to ask you about it. In the end he kind of just assumes that you’ve voluntarily taken on the role and starts to casually exchange tips with you and the whole strangeness of the situations goes over both of your heads

And what you said about Vil and Riddle is so true! I can see Vil starting to compliment you a lot more but also slipping in some advice from time to time in his usual Vil manner. And Riddle is absolutely going to start using you as an example for Ace and Deuce 😭😭 they’re gonna be getting chewed out by him and he’ll throw in the fact that they hang out with you all the time but can’t even follow your lead or pick up any of your good habits

Based on the previous ask, I'm obsessed with the thought of platonic yandere!Diasomnia gang pushing you to a certain role, which is the personal handmaiden of the king in the future. Handmaidens usually have a really close bond with their mistresses so Lilia and Malleus assumed that it's the best role for you to secure your position and safety in Briar Valley and also to keep your friendship with Malleus without the others having problems with it because it's normal for master and personal servants to have a close platonic relationship.

So I can see the Diasomnia gang also slowly pushing you into behaving like a proper fae noble because you'll serve Malleus in the future. Them manipulating you into learning more and more about fae culture and etiquette without you realizing it. Malleus and Lilia teaching you how to dance in high society events of Briar Valley, Silver subtly influencing you with norms and values from Briar Valley through stories, and Sebek making sure that you have good etiquette and posture. They're just so good at masking it to the extent that everyone else but you notices the difference in your mannerisms after being with the Diasomnia gang. ⭐

Recently you’ve been learning how to sew and embroider from Lilia as he insisted it would be a relaxing way to learn ‘new skills’ and it’s also a nice passive way to learn new trivia as Lilia loves to ramble on in these sessions… and it’s not that strange that he tends to focus on fae customs right?

The dorm has started hosting some themed dances as of late, in an attempt to celebrate the culture of the Valley… or so was explained to you. And recently Silver has been coming to you to help him nap on occasion since he says your voice is ‘soothing and brings good dreams’ and when you were unsure of what you could even say to help him nap… well luckily he had brought along some of his favourite folklore stories from Briar Valley for you to read to him. I have so so so many thoughts abt the octotrio as platonic yans, you have no idea how long I’ve been holding onto them 😭🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ok so starting off with Jade and Floyd, those two are like bodyguards that you did not hire nor want. At least one of them is with you at all times, if not both. And when one isn’t with you, it’s most likely to go bother someone who seemed to be getting a little too close or was staring at you for too long

Jade is definitely easier to deal with having around. He’s much quieter and prefers to walk next to you or slightly behind you. He doesn’t interrupt you if you’re talking to someone, but people tend to run off quickly anyways when they notice him staring at them without blinking. He’s also much more helpful, often offering to carry things for you and opening doors, and he even helps you with school work

Floyd on the other hand, is much more to deal with. Most of the time, he’ll end up carrying you places instead of letting you walk because he has longer legs so he’s faster and impatient. He also is a mixed bag when it comes to other people; sometimes you’ll be able to have a conversation without much issue and other times he won’t even let people breathe in your vicinity, it truly depends on his mood

And when you have them both together, it’s either nicely balanced or absolute chaos. A lot of the time Jade will do his usual job of keeping Floyd in line, but recently he’s been finding it very amusing to just let Floyd do what he wants and has been actively encouraging him much more often. If you complain, Jade just smiles and says that at least Floyd isn’t bothering you… and you can’t really argue with that

Now, Azul. He acts very similar to a younger sibling that wants their older siblings attention and praise. He basically lives off of validation anyways, but it’s especially needed from you

He likes to tell you about how successful the monstro lounge has been almost every day, even ready to show you all the accounting if you don’t praise him quickly. And he’s always mentioning how good his grades are and that he’s willing to tutor you if you’re struggling. Any noteworthy thing he accomplishes, Azul will find the next available moment to tell you all about it

You’ll struggle with knowing when to give praise and when it’s alright to brush it off. Because congratulating him on every small thing will just lead to him wanting more validation for even smaller things, but not praising him enough drives him to start sabotaging other people. He’s gets it into his head that he’s not good enough so he has to make everyone else seem even worse in comparison

And don’t even get me started on the gift giving. Azul definitely gives you the most gifts. He wants to be praised for choosing something you like and being able to show that he’s your best friend because he knows what you like the most. Jade is a bit less trigger happy with the gifts, he prefers to find more sentimental things to give you and to show that he thinks of you often. And Floyd… kind of just brings you random things he finds that he thinks are neat. But it shows he values you a lot if he’s willing to give up the cool things he finds to you

These three as your platonic yans are definitely very chaotic, but they do work well together cohesively a lot and don’t ever really get into fights between themselves so that’s a plus, right?

I have an idea for plat yan Dottore since I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY. Dottore with bestie reader who lives far from him, therefore bestie begged him for a clone that she can bring home with her. It's all fun and games until they meet again, only to see reader being more affectionate with his clone rather than the real Dottore. Yandere vs rival ? Nah, yandere vs himself. ⭐

Hear me out, plat yan Scaramouche with a darling who got hurt by others before, therefore she only trusts him. Scaramouche was happy since he didn't have to do the dirty work of getting darling to rely on him, but the happiness was short-lived until he found out that his darling caught Pantalone's attention. Plat yan Scara being protective and possessive, and a really jealous Pantalone since darling clings to Scaramouche for comfort. ⭐

Omg it would be absolute chaos 😭😭

I can see Scara and darling just going out to spend the day together and Pantalone showing up out of the blue and trying to butt in. And then he insists on buying literally everything to try and show off to darling and Scara simply not having it 😭

They would walk in a line with Scara in the middle as a physical barrier between Pantalone and darling and anytime Pantalone speaks, Scara is interrupting him or answering for darling. And the whole conversation between those two would be so passive aggressive, fake smiles and all. They don’t wanna upset or make darling uncomfortable by starting a fight in the middle of the street, but that’s not gonna stop them from throwing thinly veiled insults at each other at every opportunity

SO, the webtoon's name is Like Mother Like Daughter and the mom's a platonic yandere. The mom's a perfectionist who loves her daughter (the mc) and wants her to live the "perfect" life (read: be a clone of her). The mother never uses physical abuse on her daughter BUT she uses manipulation and subtle warnings. She's also very protective to the extent that she murdered the mc's friend who had a fight with the mc and secretly puts a tracker on her daughter's phone. Now, the MC's not dumb. She's aware of what her mother's doing but she's pretending to be a good daughter while secretly trying to escape from her. However, mommy's always one step ahead and the mc's dancing on her mother's palm. (btw in one of the episodes, the mc tried to investigate her friend's death using a data stolen from her mom. She opened it only to find a note from her mother saying : "I knew that you had always suspected me, do you think that I have no idea?" ⭐

Despite the differences, the clan actually worked with the Kamisato clan and both respect the other's boundaries. It's going to be easier for Ayato to bond with someone similar to him as they face similar challenges and it's easier for him to share things he never told Ayaka. ⭐

Which is why you can’t blame him for asking you to stay longer, basically begging you not to leave his side. He wants to be able to protect you, but he can’t do that if you don’t stay with him

And if you end up leaving anyways, he’ll have a few of his most trusted members of the shuumatsuban tail you in his place…. Or he’ll just find out where you’re scheduled to be and rearrange his day so that you can ‘coincidentally’ bump into each other

Ayato truly treasures your friendship above all else and couldn’t even stand the thought of losing you. So when Ayaka and Thoma come to him time after time, worrying about how much work he’s putting off to trail after you like a lost puppy, he might end up snapping a bit. He’s already under so much pressure, and they’re trying to pile on more by taking away his time from the only person who truly understands him. But it’s okay. After he calms down a bit, he’ll go to seek you out. And you’ll listen to what’s troubling him with the patience and understanding only you can give him, because you’re the only one who truly gets him

Most of them are absolutely against the idea. Pierro, Arlecchino and Capitano being the main ones to outwardly object to any and all suggestions of stepping even a foot out of Snezhnaya. You probably wouldn’t even be able to get a word in about the suggestion before they’re turning you down

I can see Sandrone and Columbina being the type to simply change the subject if you ever bring it up, but the more often it happens, the less subtle they get with their distaste for the idea

However I think Childe, Dottore and Pantalone wouldn’t be fully against the idea. Childe wants to show you how strong he is by bringing you places and letting you watch him kill everyone with ease. And he trusts in his abilities to keep you completely safe. Dottore wouldn’t necessarily bring you on a tour of Teyvat, but he’d be happy to take you on a tour of all of his labs and show you what he’s been up to. And Pantalone simply wants to spoil you. If you want to travel across Teyvat, then he’s happy to accompany you and pay for anything you want. Travelling with him might be a little suffocating though

Theoretically, those three are your best choice for being able to get out of Snezhnaya with permission, but you’re not really gonna be able to go anywhere without them. If you really wanna travel solo, you can try your hardest to run away but that task becomes quite hard when you’re under the watchful gaze of the strongest people in the nation

I’m not sure how memories work between Dottore and his clones but I imagine he can’t get every single tiny detail from them. So obviously when darling mentions something small that he never learned from his clone, he’s not gonna be able to go along with it which might cause some confusion in his darling but nothing too concerning

But maybe he happened to forget about something that his darling told his clone and only his clone, a secret that didn’t seem very significant to Dottore but was very important to his darling. This really concerns them. More and more things seem to be going over the ‘clones’ head that he normally would’ve gotten, and darling might start to worry there’s an issue with the clone and try to get into contact with the ‘real’ Dottore to fix it

Of course Dottore can’t let them do that. It would mean the jig was up and he’d have to give up on spending more time with his precious best friend. But he’s a genius. If he can figure out a way to clone himself then surely finding a way to make his darling forget about a couple small slip ups won’t be an issue for him

He knows your schedule, and will adjust his own so that he can spend as much time as possible with you, micro managing every little detail. From what you eat at breakfast, to what you wear that day, and how much you spend whilst out shopping

He’s also very determined to help find the “best suitor” for you, whether you’re in a position to marry into a prominent clan or you’re just a regular citizen who wants to marry for love. Ayato wants only the best for you, which causes him to nitpick at all your possible choices for marriage. Sometimes it’s easier to go along with what he’s saying rather than fight him on it so he’ll drop the topic because he can be very insistent

Ofc since you’re not actually related, he doesn’t get to officially decide anything for you so you could just go against everything he says. But your parents listen to every word he speaks like it’s their gospel. Even if he can’t convince you that nobody is worthy of your hand, he can certainly convince your parents to reject any and all proposals that come through
