Anonymous: Can I request more headcannons with Alcina and toddler YN?
Absolutely! Read the post this ask is talking about here! Let’s get into it!
For a while after you were adopted, you could only fall asleep in Alcina’s arms. Forget sleeping in a crib. She had to hold you or you simply wouldn’t sleep.
Eventually, you felt safe enough to sleep in your sisters’ arms.
Bela couldn’t stop grinning the first time you fell asleep on her. She was honored.
Cass gently nuzzled her face on your head and softly purred in contentment. She was happy that you felt comfortable enough to sleep on her chest.
When you dozed off on Dani for the first time, she cried. Like, a lot. She cried so hard that she woke you up and you began wailing right along with her. Alcina ended up having to hold you both to get the two of you to stop.
Alcina loved having you with her. She would tell you what she was doing while she sat at her desk and her voice was so soothing. She would hold you on her lap as she worked and softly rubbed your head.
When you learned how to crawl, it was hard for Alcina to keep you in one spot. She eventually got a little playpen for you, but you hated it. You wanted to explore. You’d throw little tantrums and get so loud that Alcina called for either Bela, Cass, or Dani to come and take you to their room so she could get some things accomplished.
You were definitely a handful once you became a toddler. Even with four full-grown women looking after you.
You liked to chew on things, too. Alcina once walked into her room to find you mouthing and drooling all over her makeup and shoes. She was not happy.
You also liked to flush things down the toilet. One time, you stole a bunch of Dani’s stuffed animals and tried to flush them, but… It just clogged the toilet and made a huge mess. Dani cried, once again.
You were spoiled. Alcina commissioned lots of toys and clothes from Donna for you.
Alcina loved playing with you and reading you stories. She always read to you before you went to bed at night.
Your first word was “Mama” (Naturally). Alcina gasped and praised you for doing a good job. She picked you up and held you close while she kissed you repeatedly which made you giggle.
When you took your first steps, Alcina was incredibly proud, but also knew she was in trouble. Once you were able to walk, it was going to be even more of a challenge to keep up with you.
You were so energetic that you could cause multiple catastrophes in the span of only a few minutes. It was frightening, really.
The girls found that they really enjoyed swarming after you before you could cause any damage. It stimulated their prey drive. However, after a while… You got better at evading them and they would often lose you which scared the hell out of them. It started to become less fun and more terrifying.
Even Cass would be exhausted after chasing after you for a few hours. Now, that was truly a feat.
“Where did they go?!” Bela shouted as the three managed to lose sight of you, once again.
Dani groaned in frustration before noticing something. “Maybe we should follow that trail of baby drool?” She asks, pointing at conspicuous puddles of saliva on the floor.
Cass shook her head. “It’s just a diversion, I’m sure!” She says.
Bela rolled her eyes. “Y/N’s a baby, not some criminal mastermind!” She snaps.
Just then, the three of them heard a chorus of “Aww’s” from the kitchen… In the exact opposite direction. It seems that some of the maidens had found you.
Cass smirked triumphantly at her sister. “See?” She asks.
“Shut up.” Bela rolls her eyes and swarms to go get you.
Alcina had many family portraits done over the years. The first year she was holding you in her arms while the girls stood beside you both. It was adorable.
When you were sick, Alcina rocked you in her arms and spoke gently to you. While being sick sucked, Alcina made you feel a lot better.
Alcina took you to regular check-ups with Mother Miranda. The priestess was thrilled to have another grandchild.
“Can you say Grandma, Y/N?” She asks you during one of your appointments.
You giggle and say “Mama” instead.
Miranda pouts, but Alcina is secretly proud.
Your life as a Dimitrescu was charmed from the start. Your family loves you so very much.

How do you think the Dimitrescu sisters would react when the fem reader is having a bad day, but doesn't want to say exactly why, and just wants their comfort to feel better?
This is an adorable one! :)
Let’s get into it!
Masterlists
Bela
She notices your state immediately. You aren’t as happy, as energetic and eager, as excited or as enthusiastic when you see her
Upon getting to her study, you immediately push yourself to her and wrap your arms around her
As she turns to face you, she notices the miserable expression on your face and gently cups your cheeks
“What’s wrong, little one?”, she coos
You don’t answer her, but merely bury your face in her neck and whimper softly
She shivers as your breath hits her neck, and wraps her arms around you tightly
“Would you like to tell me what’s wrong, darling?”, she coos
When you shake your head, she doesn’t push it and only presses a gentle kiss to the top of your head
“Very well, little one. Would you like to watch me for a little bit? I’m about to wrap this up, my darling”, she offers as she gently pulls you to her desk
Eager to be close to her, you agree. You know, Bela will make it all better and make up for the horrible day you’ve had
She sits down and gently pulls you to her lap, her arm around you and her lips softly pressing against the side of your head
As you turn to face her and rest your head against her neck, you feel her rub your back gently
Your eyes close and you sigh contentedly
Her perfume is rich, but soothes you, and the sweet smell of her shampoo fills your nose as you move your head and her hair tickles your nose
Her fingers massage your back gently whenever her palm pauses from stroking along your backside
Gentle kisses are pressed to your head as she works, her purrs steady and comforting
You feel yourself relax more with each passing second, and feel thankful for her presence
Bela knows just how to calm you down, and you love it
Her steady purrs and gentle hums lull you closer and closer to sleep, and her gentle hand on your back feels heavenly
As she finishes with her work, her other arm wraps around you and her hand reaches up to cup the back of your head lovingly
Precise, trained fingers come up to scratch your scalp for a moment, then stroke your hair so soft and gently, you could cry from her affections alone
She lets you feel the love and care she has for you, her golden eyes closing too as she hums softly
Her fingers feel wonderful in your hair, tangling and scratching lightly, never uncomfortable or painful
She never tugs your hair, never clogs it with blood
She’s meticulous in her movements, and she allows you to see this
Bela holds you close to her as both of your eyes slip closed, a last sigh passing your lips as you cuddle closer
Despite the odd position of sitting rather than laying down, you’re both comfortable
You’ve never been this relaxed, and smile- grateful for her, and what the two of you share
Cassandra
While she doesn’t notice your distress by the look on your face and slumped shoulders, Cassandra picks it up immediately nonetheless
Your heart rate is different. Distressed
She inhales first, checking for the scent of blood from open wounds. However, you seem perfectly fine
Then, she takes notice of the frown on your face and your clenched fists at last. You’re-upset!
She strides to your side, and gasps in surprise when you quickly pull her against you and bury your head in her large chest
You groan, the sound muffled from your position
Cassandra stands still, her hands hovering in the air and her eyes wide at this. What the?
Thankfully, she recovers soon enough and wraps her arms around you as well. In return, she feels you squeeze her waist thankfully
“Did something happen?”, she questions curiously, concern and anger evident in her voice
She’s ready to tear whoever made you feel bad you apart
However, no true answer comes. You whine, and as you lift your head from between her breasts and stare up at her beautiful, dark golden eyes, you only sigh
Cassandra watches your hand raise, then feels you cup her cheek
“I’ll tell you some other time, yeah?”
She doesn’t understand, but by the utter look of exhaustion on your face she knows not to press it
Instead, she takes your hand and pulls you to the bathroom
While she would’ve loved to bring you into the hall of ablution for a nice, warm blood bath, she fears a normal one will have to do with her precious human
You watch as she pulls and pushes at the tub, as though trying to figure out how to let the water in. At least, it makes you smile and laugh softly at her attempts. “Spoiled”, is the word that comes to your mind as you watch the woman try to work something so simple after never having to let in water herself. Used to coddling and serving from the staff, from filling the tub to washing her, to drying her and dressing her again
You take pity on your girlfriend and finally reach out to turn the small lever and allow water to fill the bathtub. Cassandra only shoots you a smile
As you climb in, she adds soap for bubbles and brings some over to you. Your request to have her join you is denied for the moment, with the note that her dirty and bloodied skin will only turn the water to filth
Instead, though, you feel her press kisses to your shoulders and the side of your head
The temperature of the water is perfect, and the soap has a way of making you feel warm, soft and relaxed
Her fingers find your shoulders and gently squeeze, then a little harder
She works your body and figures it out within seconds of starting her massage, and you groan and moan in relief as she works on getting all the knots out and soothing your muscles
She doesn’t press for what caused the mood you’re in, and instead talks gently about her hunt as she massages you
Her presence is comforting, and the fingers working your skin apply just the right amount of pressure on you
She’s a goddess, and she’s yours
Daniela
She grins happily when you enter her room and immediately swarms up and to the door to greet you
However, her joyful expression is immediately replaced by a worried one at your state
Your eyes glisten with tears, a frown adorns your face. You grit your teeth and look absolutely miserable from the day you’ve had
Before she can talk and ask what’s going on, however, you already pull yourself tightly against her
She’s so soft, so comfortable and smells so well, you feel yourself relaxing a little bit already
With Daniela, all of today can’t reach you
Her arms are around you in an instant, her lips pressing to your forehead gently as she fusses about you
“Are you alright, my love? What happened?”, she coos, her hands eventually setting on your cheeks to tilt your head upwards and meet her eyes
They show the concern and love she feels, and you find yourself almost pulled in by their beautiful, golden colour
“I’ve had a bad day”, you admit, your arms only tightening around her. In return, she pulls you closer again too
She smells so well, as she always does. Whether vanilla, candy, coconut, flowers, honey or cotton candy, she always smells sweet and comforting to you
“Do you want to talk about it, my love?”, she asks sincerely. Her arms around you feel wonderful
You merely shake your head in return, and sigh contentedly in relief when she hums in acknowledgment and lets the matter drop
Instead, she pulls you to the bed and gently pushes you down on it
You giggle when she swarms fast, gathering blankets to pile on you, stuffed animals sitting in the bed and on her room, as well as the book the two of you have started reading
Lastly, she swarms underneath the blanket with you, her arms around you as she pulls you on top of her
Immediately, you rest your head on her large chest. You sigh, feeling comfortable and warm at last
She giggles, but only gathers you in her arms and pulls you against her like a teddy bear
You feel the comfortably warm blanket around you, cocooning you in its heat and safety
Daniela practically purrs at both, the warmth and your presence, and the low rumbling helps you feel at ease
With one hand raising and fingers playing with your hair, the other picks up the book and holds it in front of her
Then, she begins to read. Out loud and clear, neither too loud nor quiet, but just right to keep up the cozy atmosphere the two of you have created in the room
You close your eyes, content as she reads to you
Pages pass, and all too soon she finishes with the short chapter
As she does, you feel a kiss pressed to your head again
“It will all be okay, my darling”, she coos, and you believe it
Because how could it not be, with your perfect lover right by your side?

Inefable plan
Part 1.
Bela Dimitrescu x g!p reader
This was not the plan.
Your father was a Carpenter and your mother a baker. With a tense relationship because of you existence, not quite a boy not quite a girl, the only reason that you were alive was because of your mother. Your dear mother that teach you how to read, write and count as best she could.
When you were old enough you started making errands to gain some money. You gave it to your mother but she refused instead she take you to the Duke were you bought books eager to be better.
You wish was to help your parents business to thrive. You did, your family got more money.
And your father spend it all in booze and gambling, until he tragically died one night that he was walking drunk as hell, Lycan attack was the verdict.
(You swear that the injury is his neck looked far too clean to be a Lycan even if his body was clawed apart)
Things got better with just your mother and you, until her bakery was burned by a jealous neighbor.
(That also died by a Lycan attack barely a week after)
More work to do but you two keep hopeful. Until she got sick, your savings keep you afloat but the medicine was too expensive.
So you made the decision to work in the dimitrescu castle, of all the lords lady dimitrescu was the one to pay the most and always had open vacants.
The plan was to work hard, stay away from trouble and after the three years agreed in the contract, you will be free.
(You try to don't think about how few have succeeded at that)
The Duke will send your mother medicine and prepared food as she was too weak too cook. You payed extra for that knowing that he always keeps his deals.
Stay away from the dimitrescu daughters. They were monsters, mutants, cold blooded killers behind their pretty faces, incapable of feeling. That was you thought until two events made you see them in other light.
First, you see Lady Daniela crying at the feet of one maid in a secluded room.
"YOU SAY YOU LOVED ME!"
"You were just a good fuck, did you really think somebody could love any of you?"
Daniela just cried harder, heartbroken, she looked so small so human.
"How delu-AGH"
"How stupid"
In what moment the other two had came?. The middle daughter had grabbed the maid's hair and quickly she was carrying her away.
"Dani" The oldest said hugging the crying redhead.
"Unlovable, unlovable, unlovable"
"She lied to you, nothing she said is true" her voice was soft, you can see the sadness in her eyes at the words of her sister, her little sister.
You don't wanted to interrupt or get in trouble so you walked away, the sobs of the youngest daughter hiding your steps.
You noticed how she stayed in the library for a while. Ignoring the maids, just going out after her sisters or mother request.
You couldn't help yourself, picking a book that you known well and when was your turn to clean the library, you walked to her. She was reading in silence so different from the energetic girl you met.
"I think that story is pretty depressing"
She looked at you distrust and curiosity in her eyes.
"I prefer this one, made my bad days better" you handed your favorite book with some embarrassment, it was a little tattered, nothing like the majestic books in the library but it was yours. " Tell me what you think after you finished, lady Daniela."
She took the book nodding without words
The next time that it was you turn to clean the library, she ran at you talking excitedly.
"I had never read this! It was amazing! The coobler was so sweet! And the prince was such an ashole"
She was a ball of energy again.
"I know right? I was cheering every time the princess knocked his ego, after all the shitty ways he hurt her sister was well deserved, I almost pass out laughing when he fell in the stable direct in the horse shit"
"Me too!"
After that every time that you have duties in the library she will talk about some of her favorite stories and you will tell her yours. You feel the vigilant eyes of her sisters when they choose to hang out in the library with her. But you don't feel fear, they were worried about her and you don't wanted to hurt her, so you were fine.
The second event was when lady Cassandra was hunting outside taking longer because the lady of the house was in a meeting.
The temperature was dropping fast. You were thankful to be in the living room were the fireplace was the biggest.
Lady Bela appeared suddenly and pointed at you, a heavy coat In her shoulders.
" Make sure the fire keep burning less motive for me to cut your head"
You gulp and nod, moving to get more wood.
Later you hear the door open, anger and worry covering her face
You hear the door open with violence, Bela is supporting Cassandra weight.
"You irresponsable idiot, you are freezing"
"It's wasn't that cold before!"
"Then you should have been here before! You know better Cassandra!"
"There was a bear with white fur! And now the damn Lycans will be eating it!"
You put more wood until you feel like a roasted chicken, both sisters sit in front of the fireplace still bickering.
"Get lost"
You obey. But when the storm outside grow stronger later you came back worried that the wood wouldn't be enough.
The door was slightly open, you can hear quiet sobs coming from inside.
"She is here, she is alive, stop crying." the blonde was repeating that words to herself, hugging the fearsome huntress like a teddy bear.
How worried had she been?
You remember how scared you were after your father death, worried sick when your mom took longer to come home, the fear that she will never return haunted you.
The first letter that she send was after a month of working at the castle, meaning that she had gotten some of her strength, meaning that she was getting better, you holded it close to your chest murmuring "she is alive, she is okay, don't cry idiot".
You knocked. You heard some shuffling and her raspy voice.
"What?"
" The storm is worsening my lady, I was worried that the wood wouldn't be enough"
"Enter"
You walked pretending to don't notice her ruined make up. You feed the fire and put the rest aside.
You sneak a look Cassandra was cuddled at Bela front, the heavy coat was over her.
Walking to next room, you picked a blanket a some pillows, going back knocked again
"Now what?"
"I bring you pillows, my lady, I don't think the floor is the most comfortable place to laid"
"Why I should care about what you think?... Enter, be quick."
You do as she said, putting the pillows close to her and the blanket in her shoulders. With that done you go back to your room to sleep.
You don't notice her eyes following you.

Reader is the newly created fifth lord who embodies the 21st century
They live in a small house (smaller than Donna’s) and only have 3 servants, but they are very kind to the servants
They were born in the 21st century so they’re house has the newer technology
They can read peoples minds and project thoughts and memories
They got the implant due to neurological health issues
They are the energetic type (kind of like the child of the group)
Takes the other lords some time to come around to them
Reader is slightly heartbroken about it
Donna is the first to be welcoming, then Sal, Heisenberg, and finally, Alcina
Reader is sweet, likes to make gifts for the others
Dresses alternative
They enjoy dancing and baking
Def blast hiphop music in their house
Even the servants get into it
Mother Miranda and the other lords hate how kind reader is to the servants
Uses slang and always confuses the lords and MM
Can talk for hours about murder and weapons with the three girls
Doesn’t actually want to kill necessarily, but enjoys the topic none the less
Did I mention, they are the type of person to have a tiny microphone and use it
Donna enjoys baking with reader in spare time
Sal likes to make crafts
Heisenberg and reader do stupid shit out in the woods being the stupid siblings
Alcina sort of takes on a role to watch over reader seeing as they are the newest and still very confused about what is required of them
Bela and reader love listening to music (reader introduces more modern music to her/the other girls)
Cassandra is teaching reader self defense
Dani likes to read with them
As group activities, reader teaches them dances
Mother Miranda doesn’t show up much unless for an important meeting
**To be continued**

I have an idea/theory!!
So the girls all have different colour stones on their chokers, right? I was thinking that they’re representative of their birthstones. So:
Bela- July (cancer), would make a lot of sense since she seems to be emotional/anxious (she hides it but still) …her running mascara, for example. Water signs tend to cry a lot hmmm
Cass- November (Sagittarius) would also make sense because she’s chaotic and pretty energetic
Dani: May (Taurus or Gemini) idk much about either of those signs/their personalities but I would say Gemini because the main traits are: witty, curious, funny, outgoing, nosy, and impulsive
WAITTT YOURE ONTO SOMETHING… i’d done some brief research on their colors but i didn’t pull up much (it really might just be for funsies idk) BUT THIS MAKES SENSE… i’m not good with astrology so i didn’t even think that it could be their SIGNS

I wanna know more about Serana being adopted by the Dimitrescus, if you have anything to share ^_^ (Also baby deserved better)
Okay, so, I have no set way for how exactly Serana ends up in Romania (I'm considering putting a little re8 spin on her canon so she fits better tbh. Like she's a very old product of the megamycete cause I have an idea for that), but I'm a fan of the idea that the girls basically just... find her prowling around the castle, looking for food and a way out of the sun, and they basically just decide to bring her in like she's a stray cat off the street. Because they don't realize she's not just some feral creature at first (In their defense, she's a little more... creature-ish than them) and bring her to their mom like "CAN WE KEEP IT??"
Alcina and Serana end up talking a bit (after the girls are made to apologize). Details of the convo aside, Alcina decides that Serana would be much better off if she stayed with them. She fits right in after all, and the girls seem to like her. Serana sees nothing wrong with it, it's not like she has anywhere else to go. Adoption comes with a bit of time, but eventually Serana just starts becoming knows as the fourth Daughter and doesn't protest it.
Now, Serana is... roughly thousands of years old, way older than even Miranda herself. But to Bela, Daniela, and Cassandra, Serana is their baby sister, and they treat her like one. They tease her, and they baby her, and they will kill anyone who looks at her funny.
She gets on the best with Bela. They're both mature, they both have an interest in science type stuff, they're both ace, they just generally have a lot to talk about. Serana also just likes how calm Bela is. Cassandra and Daniela are great, but they can be very intense, and there are times Serana would rather just... sit in silence with Bela and read.
That said, her relationships with Cassandra and Daniela are still pretty good.
Cassandra can be... a lot, but she's shown Serana some more variety of blade skills, along with taking her on hunts. Not that she really needed to learn either of those skills, but it was still fun for her. She also just generally admires Cassandra's bravado, even if she can be a little dense. (Reminds Serana of her dad a little, if she's honest)
Daniela can also be a lot, but if a very different way. Daniela's incredibly energetic and Serana just can't always keep up with her, but she can't deny that Dani is really sweet and caring. She's also really interested in Serana's frost magic (well, they all are, but Dani especially), and wants to know all about it. Dani's also the best for physical comfort out of the three sisters. Once Serana is comfortable enough to allow it, anyway.
All in all, Serana decides she likes having sisters.
Now, when it comes to Alcina, Serana's slightly more... cautious about things. Obviously, her relationship with her birth parents isn't exactly great, and Alcina kind of brings out her mommy issues. Serana is... a very big people pleaser, or at least she is with authority figures. Much like Bela, she doesn't want to disappoint Alcina at all. She tries to be as quick and efficient as possible when something's asked of her. She's basically a huge perfectionist when it comes to being with Alcina, just hoping for a bit of praise or even just attention.
Alcina loves her Little Bat, but she worries about this perfectionism. It's very similar to how Bela used to act and she worries over what Serana went through to make her act in such a way.

ok. hawke (personality and how it effects his relationships) hours
i think Leo is a bit like an annoyingly energetic untrained dog where if she goes without Fighting or Fucking for too long she start getting Testy. she throws her weight around a lot in the hopes of getting a reaction to sink her teeth into. especially when she’s drunk. and she drinks a lot. very much “troubled teen starved for attention and if it ain’t positive then negative works just as good”
to his credit, she does try to resist the urge around certain people. Merrill and Bela almost never see him like that.
and i think it’s a really good trait for her to have in the context of her relationships with everyone. specifically their reactions.
by act 2 most of the kirkwall gang has mostly picked up on this trait. Merrill picks up almost immediately that she should just keep her distance. Isabela, tease that she is, takes a little longer to realise that but she gets the hint eventually. hawke would never hurt her anyway, they’d mostly just bicker until Bela makes it sexual, which makes hawke laugh enough to calm down. Aveline tries to fuck off but she has just enough pride (and rage) that she refuses to stand down if she gets targeted and sometimes they just full on kick the shit out of each other. (yuri moment)
Fenris is a smart little shit about it and usually finds a way to deflect her anger towards some other drunk rando. Sebastion isn’t smart. they don’t fight but they do argue. a lot. a lot a lot.
and then there’s Varric. ohhhhh Varric you tiny idiot. you wretched little man. he can’t help himself, he always takes that bait. and hes only one other than anders n bela who knows hawke well enough to hurt her, but doesn’t know her well enough to know that he’s hurting her. he thinks she’s immune to words, thinks she has a thick skin and that nothing gets to her, it’s just part of their game. everything he says gets to her. they never get physical, despite eveything, she just can’t bring herself to hurt him. or to stop seeing him. it’s a vicious cycle and i’m obsessed with it.
and anders thinks it’s endearing because he’s a total fucking mess. once they start living together it’s hard for hawke to avoid him, (close quarters) (increasingly volatile because dead mother) (first time living without rules because dead mother) (meredith’s existence) but he still never gets it as aggressively. they have a lot of… not arguments, more like spats. play fighting. sometimes physical play fighting that turns into fucking Very Quickly (its so easy to pin him down. do you think there’s a chance he loses on purpose? i think there’s a chance)

hear me out what about dimitrescu women with a partner that always sleeps,,, i be a ✨sleepy✨ girl and i’ll sleep like for 13 hours almost every day
they're knock off vampires, their sleep schedule is probably also weird
Alcina Dimitrescu & Dimitrescu Daughters x Reader
Alcina
She's mildly concerned.
Alcina has not been human for as long time, but she's pretty sure this isnt usually how they work?
She'll double check with you to make sure it's fine.
Even if it's fine, she'll start making sure you're eating enough and things like that. She has no problem with you sleeping alot, but she wants to make sure you're alright.
If you're prone to falling asleep in areas other than your room, she'll often pick you up and bring you to bed when she finds you. No use in you ending up sore when you wake.
Bela
She will likely try to 'fix your sleeping schedule.
It's out of worry and affection, she wants to make sure that you're alright.
It's mostly an effort to make sure you're falling asleep at a good time, and are sleeping well. She will try anything she can come up with to achieve this.
Good luck with her. She will coddle you when you're tired. Its sweet, if a bit overbearing at times
Cassandra
Cassandra's sleep schedule is just as wild as she is. She tends to not sleep at all for three days, then sleep for a few days straight.
So when she is sleeping, you guys can rest together.
When shes awake though, she is bouncing off the walls. She generally wont wake you up when you're trying to sleep, but she will leave little gifts for you when you wake up
She is however, the most likely to wake you up by accident. She isnt naturally a very quiet person. So when she comes into whatever room you're in, theres a good chance she'll accident wake you.
Daniella
Daniella is very cuddly and will use it as an excuse to cuddle with you very often.
She will lie ontop of you and just ramble about anything and everything while you fall asleep. You dont have to worry about responding, she just likes the chance to talk and cuddle.
If you fall asleep without her, you'll likely wake up with her wrapped around you.
If you fall asleep with her, you'll wake up with her gone and a note beside you, usually saying something along the lines of 'Cass and I are going to hunt! I love you!'
Shes very energetic and will pull you around when you're drowsy. Good luck with her

Please have the Dimitrescus and Donna react to seeing their s/o doing this when working out
https://www.tiktok.com/@ourleadermb/video/6968358396718353669
Took a minute to get the video up, but this made for a fun request, thank you so much!!!!
Alcina Dimitrescu:
It is by chance that the matriarch stumbles upon your workout, rendering her effectively speechless as her jaw gapes open in astonishment.
From that moment Alcina begins to rearrange her own schedule as to make spare time for further observations.
Alcina plays off her newly constant presence as bonding, even going as far as to cite her position on a nearby chaise as a safety precaution, all in an effort to hide her true intentions.
Attempting to remain dignified in her appreciation Lady Dimitrescu utilises both books and cups of 'tea' to hide behind, sneaking glances when she thinks you are unaware.
She cannot deny it, but she has wondered if you possess enough upper body strength to lift even her... that thought alone often leaves the countess in a flustered state.
Bela Dimitrescu:
As the eldest Bela attempts to retain her air of superiority over her sisters constantly, which extends to maintaining her composure while you work out.
As unphased as she initially appears, her cheeks begin to burn red much like the gemstone residing in her necklace, while you contort your body to your will.
You are not above teasing Bela mercilessly when she is in a flustered state, becoming amused upon hearing emphatic denials, barely masking the stutter beneath.
An example being; when she once lost it as you lifted her, unable to escape she resigned herself to burying her face in your neck, whining half-hearted complaints muffled by her position.
Furthermore, being a lady who craves knowledge the blonde will ask for details of your routine, even proposing the use of demonstrations to aid her learning of anatomy ;).
Cassandra Dimitrescu:
Cassandra has no qualms about blatantly and shamelessly staring at you while you work out. She won't try to feign disinterest or hide her gaze whatsoever.
The brunette's presence can always be felt in the room as her eyes intently roam over every muscle you possess as you lift the weights.
She prides herself on being the hunter and most powerful of her sisters, so she is no stranger to creating 'healthy' competition.
Cassandra would most likely wish to partake in a game to prove who is the strongest. Having the Cadou implanted gives her an unnatural advantage, seeing her win without breaking a sweat.
Regardless of lording over her success before you, the sadist of the family will praise you before whisking you off elsewhere wishing to admire what is below the clothes at last.
Daniela Dimitrescu:
The redhead quite literally drops her sickle, almost impaling her foot when she first catches a glimpse of you working out.
Having recovered from her blunder she rushes over, brimming with questions and requests to feel your muscles while you are in action.
You just know Dani will ask to be lifted, a plea you humour without fail. Upon hearing her giggles and squeals of joy when her body is hoisted into the air, a smile rivalling her own adorns your face.
Daniela will probably try to incorporate some romance, albeit cheesy. In your grasp she will flip, seeing her face almost meeting your own with each lift. Taking advantage of the close proximity the redhead will press a kiss to your lips as a reward for your hard work.
As you finish for the day, your energetic beloved will flit back and forth, bringing snacks and refreshments to replace what you expended, showering you with compliments throughout.
Donna Beneviento:
Poor Donna will be so flustered behind her veil, cheeks flushed red, mouth agape and dry and no thoughts beyond you running through her head.
Typically she'll watch from afar, peeking from the doorframe until you notice. With an invitation, Donna will happily sit, making an effort to distract herself with Angie who rests in her arms.
However, Angie, neither likes to be silenced nor owns a filter. As an extension of Donna, phrases the seamstress conjures in her mind will slip past the doll's lips.
Understandably embarrassed by her failed efforts to quieten Angie, Donna will hang her head in defeat with a quiet sigh as her friend laughs at her expense.
Nevertheless, as your session ends, with permission you part her veil, pressing a kiss to her cheek that reignites a hue of red. Choosing not to mention the reaction you provoked, you whisper promises of tea and desserts as you beckon her with a hand to follow.

This Woman's Work IV (An Alcina x !Fem Reader Fanfic)
Part I Part II Part III Part V
Warnings: Childbirth, but I don't get into graphic detail, don't worry.
Alcina sets you down gently on the bed gently. She presses her red lips to your forehead. “I’ll be right back, draga mea. I just need to call Mother Miranda.”
“No!” You grab her hand and hold it close to you. You realize you’re shaking. “Stay with me, please. I’m scared.”
She strokes your jaw tenderly. “All right, dearest.”
Alcina turns over her shoulder and calls, “Daughters! To me!”
Your daughters suddenly materialize from their bug shrouds at their mother’s call. Bela turns to you and realizes the situation. “Maman? Is the baby coming? Is-”
“Please girls, there isn't much time. Yes, Maman is in labor. Here’s what I need you to do. Bela, call Mother Miranda. Cassandra, boil some clean water for me. Daniela, get some fresh towels.”
The girls are frozen. You feel love well up for your daughters as they gaze at you with concern.
Alcina, however, does not have the patience for their hesitation. “Daughters, I gave you your orders. Go!” she booms.
“Yes, Mother!” the girls chorus in unison, and they fly through the bedroom door.
Alcina turns to you and brushes the hair from your forehead. “And how are you, iubirea mea? How are you feeling?”
“I’m doing fine. There hasn’t been a contraction in-” You feel a sharp pain in your abdomen and you hunch over in pain. Alcina takes you by the shoulders and settles into the bed with you. “Oof, that was a pretty big one.”
“It hurts me so, seeing you in pain.” She gently places your hand in hers. “If you feel another one coming, squeeze my hand as tightly as you can. I’m strong. I can take it.”
“Thank you, darling,” you say, kissing the open palm of her hand. “I-”
Suddenly another contraction seizes you. You take Alcina’s hand and hold it tightly, fingers digging into the leather of her glove.
Soon the girls arrive with Mother Miranda in tow. You turn to your daughters. “Thank you, darlings. You may leave now if you wish. I can’t promise the next few hours will be pleasant.”
Bela heads over to the other side of the bed and climbs in, holding a damp cloth to your sweaty forehead. “No. We want to be here for this.”
Daniela jumps up and down excitedly. “Yes! I can’t wait to meet my new baby sister!”
Mother Miranda pulls on plastic gloves. “Well, since you girls are here, make yourself useful. Bela, keep wiping her forehead. Cassandra, Daniela, elevate her legs so I can have access to the birth canal.”
Cassandra and Daneila take up their positions on either side of the bed and take hold of your legs while Mother Miranda looks at your cervix. As she prods, you cast your eyes to the ceiling. You know your personal feelings shouldn’t enter into this, since Mother Miranda is helping deliver your child, but you still can’t help but feel a little violated.
You had actually floated out the idea of Salvatore delivering your child, since he was an actual medical doctor, but Alcina only sneered at the idea. “That repulsive creature isn’t coming within ten feet of you or our child.” So you had to work with what you got.
Miranda looks up from her ministrations. “You’re a lot farther along than I anticipated. You’re at ten centimeters. This baby is coming out now.”
You meet her eyes and can’t disguise the look of horror on your face. “What? But-”
“There’s no time for arguments. Just push!”
You obey and push. Your body feels like it’s on fire. You let out a low guttural moan through your teeth as you strain.
Daniela starts squealing delightedly. “I can see the head! Hi, baby! It’s your older sister, Daniela!” She gives an energetic wave.
“Keep her leg elevated, dummy!” Cassandra snaps.
Daniela takes hold of your leg again and ducks her head quickly in apology.
“I’m going to need you to push again,” Mother Miranda says, ignoring your daughter’s bickering.
You don’t feel ready, but you comply anyway, pushing again. The moans devolve into a scream. Bela is wiping your forehead and cooing words of encouragement. Alcina tenderly kisses your hair that is plastered to your forehead with sweat. “You are doing so well, draga mea. I’m so proud of you.”
“All right, Y/N,” Mother Miranda says. “One final push ought to do it.”
You grab Bela’s proffered hand and while holding your daughter’s and wife’s hands as tight as you can manage, you throw your head back and let out an almighty roar as you give one last push. Tears of exertion are running down your face. Your throat feels scraped raw from screaming. The baby finally is out, however. You hear the snap of scissors as Mother Miranda cuts the umbilical cord.
“You did it!” Alcina cradles your face in her hands and she kisses your sweaty cheek. “My darling girl, you did it!”
Mother Miranda takes the child and wipes her down with a towel, cleaning it of any blood or leftover placenta. You expect her to give the child back to you, but she just stands and bounces it around in her arms. With surprise, you note that tears of joy are running down her face. “She’s even more perfect than I could have imagined,” she whispers.
Before you can ask Mother Miranda to give your child back, Alcina posits gently, “Mother Miranda? Could you take the child and give her to my wife? Skin to skin contact is very important in a child’s first moments.” You notice that Alcina’s gotten that soft, almost glazed look in her golden eyes as she gazes at Miranda. You shove your jealousy down, however. No one, not even Mother Miranda can ruin this moment.
Mother Miranda seems to come back to herself and brings the child over to you. You unbutton your nightgown and have the child nestled in between your breasts.
Alcina moves her hand over and gently cups the back of the baby’s head. “She’s so beautiful,” she breathes. She looks up at you adoringly and you see happy tears collecting in her aureate eyes and running down her face.
“Are you kidding? She looks like a potato,” Cassandra says loftily. Trust Cassandra to be brutally honest, no matter what the situation.
As one, Bela, Daniela, and Alcina all turn and glare at her. Cassandra clears her throat as she realizes her mistake. “I mean, wow! She’s darling! Cutest baby ever, really.”
You can’t help but laugh. “I know the baby doesn’t look conventionally attractive right now, but within the next couple days, she’ll look more like a normal baby. You’ll see.”
Alcina suddenly gasps. “Darling, look! Her eyes!”
You look at your child and your own eyes widen as you see golden eyes, Alcina’s exact shade, in fact, staring back at you.
“I don’t understand!” Alcina looks to Mother Miranda in confusion. “How-”
Mother Miranda smiles gently. “I may have infused some of your genetic material into the embryo as well, Alcina. I wanted it to be a surprise.”
“But the Cadou! It’s not-”
“It’s alright, Alcina.” Mother Miranda moves to your wife’s side and places a hand on her shoulder. You try to suppress the possessive growl that threatens to escape your throat. “She’s not infected with the Cadou. I can promise you that.”
Alcina finally nods. “Thank goodness,” she says with relief. Alcina rests her hand on top of Miranda’s. It makes you want to puke. “Thank you for everything you have done for my wife and my child. You have been a godsend.”
“Of course,” Mother Miranda rests a hand on Alcina’s cheek and Alcina leaning into her touch cuts through you like a knife. “I would do anything for my children.”
Mother Miranda takes her hand off Alcina and turns toward the door. “And with that, I’ll take my leave. Congratulations again, you two!”
Once the door closes behind Mother Miranda, you breathe a sigh of relief. You hope Alcina just attributes it to your exhaustion from labor.

Hey muffin. A lot of people tend to write the sisters as Cat like. With the purring and tendencies. I know you've mentioned it before. Along those lines how do you think they would react, if at all, to a laser pointer? I saw an image of this somewhere and was wondering what you thought.
Absolutely! HC them as cats is funny
*I need this meme of Alcina throwing the canon table*
(Post mentioned about purring and cat tendencies : here)
Let’s get into it! :)
Masterlists
Bela
She sees the red laser dot immediately, and immediately her head turns in its direction
You see her study it, almost. Maybe, to deem if it’s worth her time
Bela is the type to attempt to play it cool, really
Yes, she has this urge to catch it, but doesn’t want to make it obvious
As the laser pointer dot is moved to her bed, she will, slowly and elegantly, move over to sit on it
If it’s moved to a wall, she will get up and stand next to it, but not pay the dot any mind at all
In fact, she will do her best to seem uninterested in the shiny thing
And it does appear to others like she isn’t interested at all, until…
SLAP
Her hand slaps over the dot, with her sharp nails out and digging into the wall
Of course, she dislikes this feeling
She jumps and swarms, higher than you’ve ever seen, and pulls her nails back out, just to immediately tackle and cover the dot again
When you move it, she lifts her hand, confused how her prey got away
She keeps following the dot, and tries to slap her slap over it again, slow, steady movements
Bela has a bit of a fragile ego at times
Allow her to catch the dot and only continue a while after, or she will deem it as
“Stupid, below her, not worth it anyway” and ignore it entirely while she pouts
You might want to be careful, too
Bela- she has her eyes on the dot, yes. However…
She will figure out where it’s coming from
Tumblr media
Cassandra
A toy? A toy!
She is already chasing after it the second the sees it
Doesn’t matter what is in the way, either
Chairs? She’ll knock them over trying to catch the stupid little, glowy dot
Tables? She flings herself across them
Curtains are pulled down and walls are scratched
Vases are shattered and decoration flies about the place when Cassandra mindlessly jumps into them
Cassandra already likes glowing things. This is the best, though
Cassandra, despite not as much as her younger sister, can be very energetic at times
And very stubborn
She won’t rest until she has the damn dot
When she clasps her hands over it and it disappears, she tilts her head in confusion
She isn’t quite sure what the laser pointer is or does, but knows she wants that dot
She runs into walls and slips on the floor, but keeps chasing the damn dot
You’ll need to move it fast, and everywhere
Cassandra wants this challenge
She attempts to bite the air to catch it, to no avail
Only once has the laser pointer almost been taken from you
When you played as usual and kept aiming it, and spotted Bela sitting in the corner, reading her book
You aren’t sure why you couldn’t help but aim the enticing red dot right at her forehead
Of course, Cassandra tackled her sister to get the dot
With her sister holding her up by the collar of her dress and Cassandra hanging unusually calmly- merely pouting- the laser pointer was snatched from you
Cassandra claims she’s killed the dot
Tumblr media
Daniela
Ah, Daniela. It seems, she has endless energy
Luckily, this is a good way of letting most of it, if not all, out
Daniela immediately chases after the dot
Immediately. Its attack on sight
Like her sister, she doesn’t care what she knocks over or destroys in the process
She’s having her fun, and Alcina could never be angry with her anyway! At least never for long
Daniela can be occupied for hours, merely to chase the little dot
She loves when it’s high in the air and she needs to jump and swarm to get it
Unlike her sisters, she attempts to bite it rather than catch it with her hands, most of the time
When she does so and the dot disappears, as her head covers it, she immediately whines
She doesn’t know, it’s now merely at the back of her head because she’s covering it
When she turns around and crosses her eyes upon finding the dot on the tip of her nose, you aren’t fast enough to react
With her hands slapping against her own nose, you only hear a whine and a long, drawn out “Ouwwwwww!”
You are demanded to kiss it better
After this, the hunt goes on
It keeps going for hours and hours, with Daniela laughing and giggling nearly constantly, bouncing about the room like a little ball trying to catch the laser pointer dot
When you notice her energy slowly drain, you move the laser pointer less drastically
With a bite into the air again, you turn it off. Daniela is sure, she’s caught it, and makes a comment about it tasting like a mouse
At last, she flops down on top of you, snuggling and dozing off, demanding head scratches and plenty of kisses for her job well done

Hello there may I request the Dimitrescu daughters celebrating their s/o birthday, it’s my birthday today☺️
Happy belated birthday, anon!!! Wishing you many more happy (and hopefully less chaotic) years to come! Under read more for length.
Bela + Birthday
On one hand, she wants to be the first thing you see when you wake up. On the other hand, she’s got a million things planned, and no matter how much help she enlists, she’s bound to end up running late. So maybe she’s not the first thing you see, but she’s crawling into your bed before you have a chance to fully wake up. Wrapping her arms around you, murmuring ‘good morning’ and ‘I love you’ into your ears. Sleepy kisses all around<3
Will stay with you for as long as you want, but will ‘subtly’ encourage you to get up eventually, after all she’s spent the past month planning this day. It’s possible that she’ll end up slowly sliding out of bed, an inch a minute, saying ‘no more kisses until you get up’.
Once you’re out of bed, it’s time for a decadent breakfast. A whole buffet table filled with your favorites (the ones appropriate for this time of day, at least), with any servants you’re friends with being allowed to join in. If you’re not from Romania, Bela will go out of her way to have the cooks learn recipes from whatever country you grew up in. Might throw in a few non-breakfast items too. Mmmm, thinking about my family’s krumkake recipe now, so good<3
What happens next depends a lot on your specific personality. If you enjoy parties and social gatherings, there will be festivities in one of the castle’s larger rooms, again with any of your friends being allowed to join (even visitors from the village, should you wish to invite them). A large cake will be served, likely baked by none other than Ava Caldwell (please excuse my shameless OC mention).
If you’re more introverted, or shy, Bela will keep the gathering very small, likely just her family and you. There will be music, a few gifts from the family, similar but smaller treats. Less energetic, more casual and comfy family time.
Come lunch time, the two of you will have some private time again. Depending on weather/season, she’ll either take you for a picnic in the garden, or a quiet meal in the observatory. Think candles, lots of strategically placed flowers, warm blankets… all that cheesy stuff. Afterwards, she’ll let you take the reins for a bit. Essentially, you’ll spend some quality time doing your favorite hobbies together. Feel free to info dump/rant all you want, Bela will stare at you with love in her eyes regardless of the subject.
Once you’ve had your fun together, it’ll be time for dinner, which will once more be with her family. Everyone will be on their best behavior (under threat of blackmail, except for Alcina, who’s just, you know, a good mother who wants her daughter to be happy). Again the cooks will go all out for the meal, making whatever dishes weren’t appropriate for breakfast. There will probably be leftovers- unless, of course, you decide to let the other servants enjoy what you cannot finish.
Finally, before bed, Bela will let you open the gifts from her. The two of you will be in either her room or her private study, away from everyone else. She’ll have prepared 3 gifts for you. One will relate to your personal interests (a hobby, a movie/book series you love, etc), one will be something the two of you can do together, and the last will be something you can wear/keep on you to remind you of her (not that you could ever forget, really).
I’ll leave the detail of what happens that night to your imagination, dear reader, so as to not assume anything about *ahem* attractions, gender, or any possible… deviances (kinks, if that wasn’t clear). Regardless, there is cuddling<3
Cassandra + Birthday
Wakes you up, first thing in the morning, with kisses. Just crawls into bed with you and smothers you in somewhat sleepy affection. Do you know how hard it was for her to get up at this hour? Relatively! Which is why you’re not allowed to get up get up, at least not for a while. Mandatory girlfriend snuggles. No escape. If the two of you are, ya know, of the persuasion to do certain things… without clothing… then yeah, that’s probably also happening. Please don’t judge me, I’m tired (and asexual) and am trying to avoid this being unnecessarily ns/fw.
Doesn’t really want to share you at all, even on your birthday, but will let you mingle with friends/have a nice group breakfast if that’s what you want. Just expect to be sitting in her lap for as long as she can get you to, alright? Might tone it down if her family is around (okay, well, if her mother is around). Will pretend to judge people for whatever gifts they get you unless you specifically ask her to stop. Repeatedly whispers things in your ears to distract you, ranging from the audaciously inappropriate to “my gift is going to be so much better than that” to very sweet “I love you”s.
Lets you plan as much or as little as you want for your special day, though won’t hesitate to suggest things if you struggle to come up with stuff/can’t decide. Again, she’d prefer to spend as much of the day with you as possible, and would prefer your gatherings be very small. Like, maybe just the two of you. Going on a hike to your favorite spot, or painting together (even if you don’t know what you’re doing, because she’ll get nice and close to help ;) ), or just curling up with her somewhere cozy.
Whatever you end up doing for the day, she’ll probably have a servant pack you guys some lunches, so you don’t have to interrupt whatever you’re doing.
Dinner will be… a surprise. Planning is not her area of expertise, so Cassandra will enlist the help of her older sister, resulting in a romantic meal that, well, at least has hints of your girlfriend’s personality in it. Yes, she picked out the color of the napkins. Yes, the flowers she had asked for turned out to be poisonous, so yes they did have to swap them out last minute. Oops, you darn humans and your ‘mortal weaknesses’. Honestly, the display is very touching. She asked for help to do something nice for you<3
At the end of the night, she’ll take you to her art studio, where there’s a big painting that’s been covered up for a few days or so. She’ll pull the sheet off, oddly shy, and you’ll see it’s a lovely portrait of the two of you… except you’ll be wearing a necklace that you’ve never seen before. Which Cassandra will quickly pull out of her pocket, to give you as the second part of your gift :D
Cue a night of cuddling (and possibly other activities… such as sleeping).
Daniela + Birthday
Might as well bodyslam you first thing in the morning, honestly. She’s very excited, and loves you very much, and just wants to have some nice morning cuddling (and kissing). Solution? Make sure that she spends the previous night in the same bed as you. Seriously, it’ll save you a fair amount of pain.
Has the least planned of the three, despite having the most ideas, mostly because she struggles to actually organize things. Expect to spend however long you want in bed, just relaxing, probably still with lots of kisses and cheesy dialogue about how much she loves you. When you get up, however, the two of you will be surprised to see that Daniela’s family decided to help her get shit together.
There will be a nice breakfast, with your friends present, and Bela might even delay her own meal just to play some music for you. Afterwards, the family will give you their gifts. They won’t make you open them yet if you decide to save it for later, though, so no worries.
Then, you and Daniela will be encouraged to go out and have some fun. Which means a nice almost-picnic in the gardens, with less of a meal, more of some sweets/snackies. Cue more cuddling, and dorky poetry reading. The poetry will always start out serious… but by the end you’ll both be trying to find the lamest, cheesiest poems you can get, reading them to each other in increasingly ridiculous voices. Somehow you’ll end up reciting dirty limericks. Eventually you realize that Daniela isn’t even going through her books to find them, and is actually making them up as she goes. You’re not sure you want to know how she gained this skill.
Eventually you’ll head back inside, for lunch. At this point, there will be more music, some optional dancing, with a surprising amount of servants being allowed to just enjoy themselves. If parties aren’t your thing, Daniela will be more than willing to sneak you off somewhere more… private. For various reasons, you know. Doesn’t have to be anything more than cuddling. But this is Daniela we’re talking about, so…
The evening will mostly be up to you, with Daniela wanting to do whatever you want to do, even if it’s not something she’d normally enjoy. She just wants you to be happy<3
Dinner will be romantic, like with Cassandra, if admittedly far more chaotic. Still, it’s very lovely, and she’ll probably get adorably flustered as she tries to make things perfect for you. Expect her to get you multiple smaller gifts, and repeatedly mention that she wasn’t sure what to get you, so she kinda just… got everything. It might be best to reassure her that you mostly care about spending time with her. But, you know, also tell her you enjoy the gifts because she really did panic about them.

Castle Dimitrescu, Cassandra's Bedroom - November, 2021
Since the three Dimitrescu daughters woke up, being reborn as vampires, the differences between them were clearly visible. Daniela was energetic and curious, Bela was quiet and melancholic, and Cassandra... well, Cassandra was impulsive and sadistic. Sometimes, she'd be taken by an uncontrollable and endless agitation. A burning desire for adventure and action that she would never find being trapped inside a castle most of the time.
She never discovered how to let go of those feelings. One day, after Lady Dimitrescu sought for Mother Miranda's advice, the Priestess suggested she should focus her energy somewhere. She needed a goal, a target, to fulfill her boredom and desire to kill. To keep herself under control, she liked to spend most of her time in the woods hunting or practicing some fighting moves with her sisters, when she still couldn't go outside during Fall and Winter.
For some reason, Gabriela Rodriguez had become her newest target. She never desired to hunt a prey so badly in her entire life.
"Whatever it takes," Cassandra promised to herself, as she returned to her bedroom after the conversation with her mother. "It'll be an interesting hunt."
"One more mistake," Alcina spoke before Cassandra left her chambers, "and I'll send you somewhere else so you can learn to live on your own. Where you'll be the only one to deal with the consequences of your actions."
She didn't deserve a punishment. She deserved a praise. If it wasn't for her 'impulsive', 'selfish' and 'reckless' behavior, Lady Dimitrescu would be having another bad day, struggling with her health issues.
If there was one thing Cassandra hated was seeing any members of her family suffering. She would always put her mother and sisters above anything. Even if she'd never let them know.
Maybe murdering the castle's new maid was worth the risk. After all, Bela was living just fine on her own. So fine she barely remember her family even existed.
"Ms. Cassandra?" Mrs. Petrova was knocking at the door, interrupting her thoughts. "The breakfast will be served in fifteen minutes."
"I'm going..." She stopped in the middle of the sentence. She needed time to work on her plan and prepare herself for the moment when she ran into her prey. "No! Actually, I'm feeling indisposed. I'll sleep a little longer."
Unlike Bela, she would act mostly by instinct, by impulse. This time though, she'd have to act carefully. Before anything, Cassandra had to restore her strength. For this, she waited until her older sister left her chambers. Then, she sneaked in and stole one of her blood bags.
"Ughhhh," the brunette complained once she tasted that stale, cold blood. "How does she lives like this?"
The things people wouldn't do for love. Love wasn't for someone like Cassandra. Love demanded hope, patience and altruism. And she wasn't willing to do any of these.
A few minutes later, she was able to shape into flies again. That was her greatest advantage against her enemies. She could be at any place, any time. She could spy on them. And it was exactly what she was going to do in that moment. She'd learn more about that mysterious stranger who dared to vex her in front of the stupid villagers.
Everything about that young woman smelled like trouble. Starting by the way she dressed, the way she walked and even the way she talked. Gabriela wasn't like any other girl Cassandra had met before. There was something different about her. Something she wasn't able to identify yet.
"And this will be your room," Mrs. Petrova said, guiding the girl to one of the servants accommodations. "Here's the uniform. Get dressed and meet me in the kitchen, you'll help the other maids to serve the breakfast for the Mistress' daughters."
"Okay," Gabriela told. "I'll be there."
As soon as the housekeeper left, the new servant noticed the blowfly buzzing around the room. With a single, and very precise slap, she smashed it between her palms.
From a certain distance, Cassandra let out one pained groan.
"Motherf..."
----------
Castle Dimitrescu, Kitchen - Present Days
I was never good at following rules. Not even for the first eight years of my life, when I still lived in the village with my family. That was what got me saved in first place. They were never able to infect me with La Plaga. I ran away and stayed hidden, while I watched my parents and siblings turning into those creatures.
After I was taken to London and thrown at foster care, my ability of following rules only decayed.
The castle was being everything I expected to be - creepy, old and warm. There were some unusual rules to be followed: I wouldn't be able to leave the castle or to communicate with anyone outside, unless it was authorized by Lady Dimitrescu. The windows could be opened during Fall and Winter, but not for extended periods of time. The Countess and her daughters were the only people who had permission to control the heating system.
Despite the heavy curtains, nobody said anything about avoiding to let the sunlight in. If the Dimitrescu women were weak to the UV light, like the infected people from my village, I'd have to find out by myself.
Once I arrived in the kitchen I was welcomed by some glances and whispers from the other maids. I could only assume I was late again.
"There she is," Mrs. Petrova announced. "Gabriela will be working with us now."
The other girls briefly introduced themselves and greeted me. Then, Mrs. Petrova gave me some instructions on how to serve the breakfast and the sisters specific tastes. I couldn't register them all in my mind. I'd have to observe how the other maids acted.
Before we left to the dinning room, the housekeeper's eyes widened in shock when she noticed the tattoo, covering my entire left arm.
"Oh," she said. "I suppose we'll need to find you a long sleeved uniform."
Some of the other maids exchanged whispers and giggles. Apparently, they were trying to imagine Lady Dimitrescu's reaction to my 'abnormal' looks. I shrugged. Her daughters had tattoos on their foreheads, that was abnormal as hell.
"So," I asked one of the girls I'd be helping, named Sofia, "any tips about the sisters'?"
"Well, Ms. Bela is okay. She is quiet, well-mannered, a little bit moody sometimes," she told. "But she's never around. I heard she's living in United States with her girlfriend."
"We call her 'the lucky bastard'," Cristina, the other maid, added. "Ms. Daniela is easy to please. Be nice to her, follow her orders, praise her a lot and you'll be fine. But approach with caution, she gets attached too easily."
"And there is..." They both exchanged a long glance.
"Cassandra."
"Yeah. Stunningly hot, but a cold-hearted jerk. Don't stare or say anything. Just do your job around her and ignore any sassy remarks that may come out from her mouth."
"There was this girl, Rebecca. She was entitled to be Ms. Cassandra's chambermaid. Rumor has it that they got a little bit too close, if you know what I mean. But the thing is, Becca disappeared. She was never seen again."
"We suspect Lady Dimitrescu found out about their affair and sent her home in the middle of the night."
She was dead. Definitely dead. I wondered if those girls were naive or they were only trying to mask their fears. As we moved, I couldn't help thinking that C would be there, sat among her sisters. If she recognized me, I'd definitely be fired.
Or worse.
For my surprise and relief, only Bela and Daniela were there. While the eldest sister was focused on reading the newspaper, the youngest was too distracted on her cell phone. Seeing them act so normal, it was hard to remember they were vampires and not regular girls.
Bela greeted me with a simple nod when she noticed our presence. I responded in the same manner. Daniela, in her turn, was a little bit louder.
"Gabriela!" She grinned, as if we were already close friends or something.
"Ms. Daniela," I nodded again.
"Where is Cassandra?" Bela asked, once we finished serving them. "I haven't seen her since yesterday."
"She went to the pub last night," Daniela told. "And she was really pissed when she came home."
"What is going on with her? She has been acting so strange lately..."
The door opened with a slam, but it didn't surprise them - the reason why I assumed that should be an habit. Cassandra walked in, wearing a black dress with a hood covering her head, very similar to the outfit from the previous night.
Our looks crossed and it was almost like I could take a glimpse of her inner world. A cold, dark and dangerous world.
"You're late," Bela told her. "Are you alright?"
"I had something to take care of," she spoke, her eyes still focused on me. "None of your business, of course."
"It should be, considering your latest actions were a risk to our family."
She shrugged. I wondered which actions Bela was talking about. I shiver ran down my spine when I imagined Rebecca, Cassandra's chambermaid, falling for her charms only to be killed and have her blood drained.
"What are you waiting for to serve me?" The question was directed to all the three of us.
The other girls took a step further, I stood paralyzed in place.
"No, not you," Cassandra pointed at me. "Her. I want her to serve me."
I didn't feel intimidated. I rarely felt intimidated when I was in front of a risky situation. In truth, the danger excited me, it made me confident and bold.
"Tea or coffee?" I asked. I remembered Mrs. Petrova's instructions. Cassandra's tastes were the only I kept registered in my mind. I couldn't risk doing any mistakes.
"Coffee. With sugar."
I poured the coffee into her cup as she kept watching me. Her golden yellow eyes would never leave mine. It seemed like she was expecting me to be nervous. She expected me to be scared. And I wouldn't give her that.
"More sugar," she ordered after making a disgusted face when she first tasted the coffee.
I did what she told. I added more sugar to her cup.
"Not this much! It tastes horrible now, your incompetent idiot."
"Cassandra," Bela censored her. "Leave her alone. It's her first day."
"No," I interrupted. "I must apologize, I made a mistake. Let me try again."
I placed another cup in front of Cassandra, filled with coffee and added some sugar.
"Hmmm... not bad," she took a sip, before dropping the cup on the floor. "Ops, I guess you'll have to clean it now."
She was doing it on purpose. It was a childish game. A manner to get revenge for the way I treated her in the previous night.
I wouldn't play her game. I couldn't lose that job. I sighed deeply.
"Okay. This is why I'm here anyways."
I left the dinning room and went back to the kitchen to grab a mop. When I was about to return, Mrs. Petrova stopped me.
"Gabriela, there you are," she was bringing an empty tray of food. "I'm returning from Lady Dimitrescu's room. She informed me Ms. Cassandra will be responsible for instructing you and showing your new tasks for the next few days."
Okay. I'd be spending most of my time alone with a vampire woman who wanted to murder me. Now I was screwed.
In that moment, I thought I'd rather to be in prison.
----------
Castle Dimitrescu, Cassandra's Bedroom - Present Days
"Do not interact much," Mrs. Petrova advised before I left the kitchen. "She has quite a personality, but if you behave properly she won't be bothering you. She tends to lose interest on the new servants quickly."
It was too late for that. I didn't behave properly when I called Cassandra a douchebag and spilled my drink on her dress. She'd be doing everything on her reach to embarrass me upon her mother. That would give her a free pass to fire me. Or murder me. I couldn't give in to her advances. I couldn't give her the taste of victory just yet.
When I returned to the dinning room, C was alone, standing next to the windows. The sunlight was reflecting on her pale skin and highlighting the strands of light brown hair falling down her face. It was the first time I noticed how beautiful she looked under that hood. She took a couple of minutes to be aware of my presence.
"Why did it take you so long?" C grunted, making all my thoughts vanish away.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Petrova wanted to give me some last instructions," I spoke. I noticed my cheeks burning a little bit.
"I'm the one who's suppose to tell you what to do. Now go, get changed. There's a lot of work to be done in the garden."
I wore an old t-shirt and worn out jeans. Cassandra was waiting for me at one of the multiple ornate doors the castle had.
"Jeez," she analyzed me head to toe, before raising an eyebrow in a judgmental form, "what beast were you escaping from?"
She walked fast, I had a hard time to keep up with her pace. I followed her to the garden, where they had many different kinds of plants and flowers.
"Are you this poor?" Cassandra continued to taunt me. "I can ask Daniela to give you some of her clothes."
I ignored her comments. Instead, I decided to try to make things a little less heated between us before we started, which wasn't usual of me. I rarely apologized to anyone. The only people in my life who were granted this benefit before were Samuel and his wife.
"I... uh... I feel I should apologize for my behavior last night. We didn't have a good start. Maybe we should try again. My name is..."
"Don't do this," Cassandra scowled. "Don't try to suck it up to me, pretending you regret what you've done. You're only saying that because you found out you work for me."
"Okay then," I raised my hands defeated. Peace with C was never an option. "I'm taking back my apologies."
"You're ridiculous," she finally let out a laugh. A short and ironic laugh. "You can't do that. You either apologize or not."
"Fine, then I don't. Is it okay for you now?"
She didn't answer. I shrugged. At least I tried to be civilized. In that moment, I needed to focus on learning how to tend for Lady Dimitrescu's garden. If the rumors were true, besides being so tall, she also had long metallic claws I wasn't looking forward to see.
I started by raking the leaves into piles. It seemed like nobody had been cleaning that garden for a couple of weeks now. C just accommodated herself on a bench, watching every move I made in complete and absolute silence.
I started to whistle a song, knowing it would annoy her. Bingo! Her face turned into a snarl. I muffled a laugh.
"I have to admit it," she finally opened her mouth to say something. "I admire your bravery, your audacity. In your place, most of the servants would have broke down in tears back in the dinning room."
"You don't intimidate me," I replied. "Neither do your sisters. I guess I have more experience with people than you assumed."
"No, I wouldn't call that. I'd say you're daring, overadventurous."
"Yeah... maybe I am."
After I finished piling up the leaves, I started to remove the dead plants. Cassandra was still there, watching me like hawk. She wasn't even a little bit affected by the sunlight. I concluded that either the rumors were false or that the kind of parasite that infected her was different from La Plaga.
"Can I ask a question?" I asked. All that silence was killing me.
"Is it offensive?" She wanted to know. "You're asking my permission to speak, so it certainly is."
"Kind of."
She rolled her eyes at me. I took that as a yes.
"Why do your sisters dress normally and you're always cosplaying an Assassin's Creed protagonist?"
"I don't understand your lowlife vocabulary."
"Nevermind then."
From the corner of my eyes, I observed she was searching what I had just said on her phone. I could swear there was a hint of a smile on her mouth.
Time passed faster than I expected. My first tasks hadn't been so hard after all. C and I would only exchange a few words, when she was bossing on me or when we were insulting each other somehow. I couldn't help it and neither could she. It was something natural between us. A mutual feeling of repulsion and antipathy. We simply couldn't behave like two grown adults around each other.
I was about to leave the garden, when I noticed something small, fragile and struggling to keep itself alive under a tree.
"It's a baby crow," I kneeled down, observing the tiny little creature. "It's injured."
"Raven," for my surprise, Cassandra just appeared right next to me. How did she move so fast? It was impossible. "It's a raven."
I extended my hand, attempting to catch the bird. Which was useless, it kept escaping from me. I never had much way with animals. Or children. I always had the impression I scared them.
I scared most of the creatures away from me. It was a defense mechanism I unconsciously developed over the years.
"Stop, you'll never save her like this."
I expected her to grab a rock and put an end to the bird's misery, but instead, C also extended her hand. Differently from when I did it, the raven immediately started to move forward to the center of her palm. She carefully took it closer to her body, examining its injuries.
"The wing is wounded. The mother isn't around either, she probably got killed by another creature. It won't survive without help."
I watched the scene surprised. That same woman who was rumored to be a cruel and ruthless killer, was being so kind and delicate with that small creature.
"Just finish your job," she ordered me, as she took the raven to inside the castle. "I think we're done here for today."
----------
Castle Dimitrescu, Cassandra's Bedroom - November, 2021
Cassandra enjoyed being in the woods, alone with the other creatures. Somehow, they seemed to connect with her better than humans, or even her own family. While Bela preferred being around the horses, she liked the wild and misfit. They sorta belonged together.
She placed the tiny black bird on her desk. After caring for its injuries, she returned to the garden to grab some worms to feed it. Gabriela was nowhere to be seen. Maybe she managed to finish her tasks successfully. Or maybe she got lost.
How good it'd be if she had ran into a Moroaica, one of the creatures that inhabited the lowest levels of the castle. But then, the fun would've ended. Cassandra was looking forward to torture her a little bit longer, before ending her life.
"Good girl," she grinned, while feeding her newest pet.
Some say the raven was born of the primordial darkness; others believe that it brought to light. That was how she felt about herself and her mutation.
The bedroom's door opened and Bela walked in. She didn't knock. It was an habit she acquired from Daniela and Cassandra herself. They never knocked when they invaded their older sister's chambers, which annoyed her deeply.
"We need to talk," she spoke. Cassandra didn't bother turning around. Bela was one of the last people she wanted to see. "What... is that?!"
"A raven I rescued this morning. I'm going to name her Miranda, as a tribute to the deceased bitch. What do you think?"
"I'd insult her even further and name it Eva, after the daughter she tried to resurrect by murdering a lot of people."
"Bela, this is so nasty! I love it!"
Cassandra couldn't hold her laugh upon her sister's comment.
"I'm sorry about yesterday," Bela threw herself on an armchair, close to Cassandra's desk. "I mean it. I don't blame you for trying to save mother's life. You just need to be more careful, Cass."
"What?! Are you sick or..."
Bela Dimitrescu was apologizing for what should be the first time in her life. She never admitted being wrong. The blonde girl was too proud for that. Aleena had definitely affected her brain in a very very bad manner.
Cassandra closed her eyes and sighed.
"How is mother doing?" She asked.
"She's improving."
"It won't be for too long. In a couple of weeks we'll be out of blood again and her disease will come back."
"We'll find a way," Bela tapped her on the shoulder as she stood up to leave. "I promise."
She barely left and the door opened again. This time it was the last person Cassandra wanted to see. Gabriela Rodriguez.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked, angry. "And you didn't even knock! You will always knock, do you understand?"
"Mrs. Petrova asked me to clean your bedroom," the girl answered. "And I assumed you wouldn't be here."
"Because you were supposed to have done that hours ago, when I actually wasn't here."
"My bad, but I keep getting lost at this doomed place."
"What do you expect me to do? Draw you a map?" It wasn't such a bad idea after all. Cassandra could guide her straight to the dungeons, where she was supposed to be locked since the previous night when she dared to confront her.
"That would help," there was a lot of sarcasm in her answer. "Anyways, do you want me to clean or not?"
"Just shut up and do it."
Cassandra spread herself on the bed while she observed the newest servant. She had been studying her the whole day and wasn't able to figure out what was so curious, so different about her.
Gabriela cleared her throat, breaking the silence that had been lingering in the air for minutes. At least this time she didn't whistle. Or sang.
"Can I ask another question?"
"Here we go again," what was she willing to insult this time? Her family?
"What exactly are you?"
That was unexpected. The new servants usually took longer to connect the dots. Cassandra didn't showed her any evidence of their nature.
"Bored, bitter and thirsty?"
"No," Gabriela stopped what she was doing and approached. "You know what I'm talking about. The stories, the rumors..."
"Do you often believe," Cassandra stood up and slowly walked in her direction. The height difference between them was considerably large. She lifted Gabriela's chin, forcing her to gaze directly into her eyes, "in everything you hear?"
"No. Only in things I've seen before."
"And what, pray tell, have you seen?"
Like any other woman who Cassandra had ever met before, she should be flustered. Her heart should be racing right now. But no. Gabriela was calm and steady.
"The parasite, the cult, the mutations," she told. "It all existed in the place I was born. The entire village was infected and later, destroyed. I'm the only survivor."
How could she even know? She was too well informed about their origins. There was only one explanation, it was a trap. The BSAA planted that woman inside the castle to observe them, to keep them under control. She was a damn spy.
Cassandra silenced for a moment, wondering how she'd escape that situation. Lady Dimitrescu would kill her if she did anything that put them in danger again.
On other hand, if she killed Gabriela in that moment, her mother would never believe that woman was a BSAA agent in disguise. She'd think Cassandra was lying. She'd need proof to show her mother first.
"Is that what you believe?" She broke into a fake laugh. "Parasites, cults, mutations... are you crazy or something?"
"No," Gabriela smirked, keeping her gaze on Cassandra's eyes. "Maybe I'm only good at telling stories."
"Is it another of your video games?"
"It could be."
The brunette Dimitrescu daughter had no time to figure out how that even happened, but when she realized, Gabriela had pushed her against the wall.
"Now tell me, Ms. Cassandra," she whispered, with a wicked and mischievous smirk on her face. "Who would you play? A hero or a villain?"
And then, she went back to cleaning. Like nothing had ever happened. Like if that conversation had never existed. She even smiled, innocently this time, before starting to whistle another song.
"Both," Cassandra thought. "A hero to my family. But for you... I'll be the most cruel villain you ever faced before."

Aight I know we all love to imagine heis and Alcina hating each other's guts like typical siblings and beating each other up constantly but just imagine this for a sec...
---
Alcina being raised from a time where horses were the primary mode of transport, she still has a few of her own. One in particular she has a very strong bond with, a beautiful silver and white shire mare named Brighid. She spent so many years with this horse, having raised her from being a newborn foal. She had grown big and strong and went for rides with Alcina almost every day for many years. Alcina loved her like one of her own daughters and it showed. But sadly, horses don't live very long.
It started when Brighid seemed to become suddenly lethargic and unwilling to go for rides. She was bizarrely reserved and seemed to be tired all the time. This was incredibly odd as Alcina knew Brighid as a bright, happy, energetic mare who was always excited to see her. She tried to find out what was wrong but Brighid seemed almost afraid to let her examine her. She couldn't figure out what was wrong so she tried investigating further. Eventually after a good few weeks, she figured out Brighid was starting to develop arthritis. "No big deal" she thought, "she's getting old and that's pretty normal."
Part of her didn't seem to understand how serious this was until a few weeks passed and Brighid seemed to be rapidly deteriorating. One day, Brighid suddenly collapsed in her stall. Thankfully she wasn't severely hurt but she was still in obvious pain from something else. It seemed like her whole body was in pain. Slowly it finally dawned on Alcina how serious this was.
Heisenberg didn't really care much about his sister's horses but he'd help pet sit if it was ever necessary. He could tell something was very wrong long before Alcina did. He tried to tell her but her denial seemed to persist.
A few more weeks after Brighid collapsed, Heisenberg came into Alcina's study with a somber tone to his voice.
"Alcina, I'm pretty sure it's almost time for her. I'd suggest you go down to say goodbye." Heisenberg rarely showed any negative emotion, always putting on a tough, carefree face, especially in front of his family.
Alcina made her way down to the stable, her eyes fixed on the ground and her steps slow. She entered Brighid's stable and saw her laying on the ground with Alcina's daughters by her side. Someone had placed a pillow under Brighid's head and Bela was gently stroking it before she saw her mother enter. She moved to the side to let Alcina have some time with her beloved mare.
Slowly she sat down next to the dying creature whose breaths were slow and shallow. Alcina moved the pillow and placed the horse's head on her lap, gently stroking it and staring into her tired eyes.
"I'm here sweetie, I'm right here. You're not alone right now, your whole family is here, okay?" She spoke very softly and with immense care.
"I know you're probably scared because you know what's happening to you right now, you can sense it. And yes, your senses are correct," her voice began to tremble, "but that's okay. Death is not something to be feared, especially by someone in your position. Soon, you won't be in pain anymore. Soon you won't feel tired all the time..." She began to choke up and feel tears form in her eyes.
"Soon you'll feel just like your younger self again. No aches, no pains, no sickness, no depression... only joy..." she stopped for a moment and squeezed her eyes shut as tears began to trickle down her cheeks. "Now I won't see you anymore after this, but I'll always always remember you. You've been my best friend for 26 years now and I will never ever forget you..." she had started openly crying by now, she just couldn't hold back anymore.
"You've given me so much happiness and love and beautiful memories, you deserve all the love and kindness I could possibly offer. Remember I will always love you with every fiber of my being. I love you. I-...I love you..."
Alcina placed a kiss on Brighid's cheek and stroked her face gently, her whole body shaking from stifled sobs. In response, Brighid let out a weak nicker as if reciprocating her owner's love. She seemed to press her nose against Alcina in an attempt to comfort her back before slowly closing her eyes as she let out her final breath.
Heisenberg quietly caught the daughters' attention and motioned for them to go back to the castle, to which they obliged. He didn't want Alcina to feel pressured to hide her pain in front of her daughters. He stayed however, standing by the stable entrance and watching over Alcina while she crooned and sobbed over her beloved horse.
Later that day after Alcina finally managed to separate herself from Brighid's body, Heisenberg took it upon himself to bury the enormous beast so Alcina wouldn't have to. He dug for hours through the night and into the wee hours of the morning before tiredly carrying out the body and laying it in the grave. He then spent another many exhausting hours burying the mare, all with no breaks.
It was around 10 AM by the time he finished and went back into the castle to finally rest, not before telling the daughters to leave Alcina alone for a few days so she can grieve in peace.
Alcina and Heisenberg never mentioned his gestures, not even years after it happened. He didnt care about getting a thank you, his sister was in unbearable pain and he didn't expect her to feel the need to waste scarce emotional energy on him. He knew it was his duty to help his sister out when she couldn't help herself, and to him a duty is not inherently deserving of thanks.
As much as they hate each other and fight and bicker over the smallest things, they are still brother and sister. And despite what they will swear up and down is the truth, deep down in their hearts is an everlasting compassion for each other.

“Daniela, give me back my goddamn sickle!”
“You have to catch me first!”
Cassandra cursed at her younger sister, chasing her through the castle halls. She should have known better than to leave her things unattended. They were in the midst of the cold months, and the time being locked inside was making all of them become restless, even Bela was starting to show signs of getting bored of being inside, but Daniela had always been the worst for it. The woman was as energetic as a baby Lycan, and without being able to go outside for hunts, she was full of excess energy.
She begged her sisters to wrestle, or play, or do anything with her, and while Cassandra would normally gladly take a chance to win a match, she’d been preoccupied with a painting. She’d overheard Bela refuse as well. Cassandra guessed she must have had her nose in some sheet music, trying to learn something new to impress Mother.
So Daniela resorted to the next best thing.
If her sisters wouldn’t willing pay with her, she would make them.
And so here they were, Daniela flying ahead with Cassandra’s sickle in one hand and one of Bela’s journals in the other, giggling while her sisters continued to yell at her. They rushed past maids who barely had time to move out of the way. At some point the two older sisters decided a simple chase wasn’t working. Bela swarmed and branched off down a different hall while Cassandra continued after Daniela. As they came close to the next turn, Bela reappeared in front of them. Daniela, caught off guard, slammed directly into the eldest, and together they collided with the window behind them.
Cassandra, face quickly changing to panic, stopped short, quickly moving back from the sudden onslaught of cold. Her sisters, however, were not as lucky, both giving pained banshee wails that echoed off the walls. Bela and Daniela both fell to the floor, caught in the burning cold wind from outside. It didn’t take long to cause a scene, whatever maids were nearby came running, but none dared to try and help. Or perhaps they simply didn’t want to.
Cassandra’s breath caught in her throat, and her hands went numb.
She couldn’t help them.
What they needed was Mother.
Mother was warm.
She would help.
Cassandra turned to the gathering of maids around her.
“One of you stop being useless and DO SOMETHING! Find Mother! NOW!”
She saw a few disperse from the terrified crowd, though she wasn’t sure if they were really going to do what she’d said or if they had simply gotten scared of her yelling. There wasn’t much time to think about it though, because something else caught her attention.
“Dani!”
Cassandra turned back to the scene to witness Max rushing into the breeze and kneeling near her younger sister. The brunette tensed when he went to touch her.
“Don’t touch her-!”
“Fuck off, Cassandra, this isn’t time for your shit!” Max shouted, giving her a glare that she may have been impressed by if not for the situation. His attention was quickly back on Daniela, though, and trying to move her to the side, out of the cold.
Another maid showed up alongside him, and Cassandra vaguely recognized her as the woman their Mother favoured. She moved to swiftly grab Bela and, much like Max had done a moment prior, brought her out of the cold.
Cassandra back tracked, having to take the long way around to the other side of the broken window, finding Max cradling Daniela in his arms, and the other made taking off the blanket she used as a baby sling and wrapping it around Bela’s shoulders, propping the eldest up against the wall and trying to keep her conscious. It didn’t take much longer before they heard the thundering footsteps that could only be  the girls’ mother running down the hall.
“What happened?!” Alcina demanded when she came across the scene, followed by a small blonde maid that must have fetched her. Cassandra blinked at her, suddenly unsure of what to say as she watched Alcina gently push the maid away from Bela.
“It-We were-”
“It was an accident, My Lady!” The blonde maid squeaked. “Miss Daniela ran into Miss Bela while she was running and they crashed into the window!”
There was a moment of silence as Alcina gathered both girls in her arms, snapping at Max when he tried to tell her he could carry Daniela himself. “If you want to be useful, Manthing, board up that window.” Max muttered some insults under his breath, but begrudgingly did as he was told and went to find something to cover the window. “Mia, be a dear and stoke the fire in my bedroom.” Mia nodded wordlessly. “And you,” She looked at the small blonde woman. “Clean up this mess.”
Alcina started down the hall, Mia a little ways in front of her. Cassandra continued to stare for a moment, as if trying to process the whole of what just happened. She let out a long breath, rubbing her face with her hands.
“Miss Cassandra? Are you alright?”
Cassandra’s ear twitched, and she looked down at the maid she was left with. “...You’re still here?”
She shrugged, wringing her hands together. “I’m sorry, I just… want to make sure you aren’t hurt. Physically. I didn’t know if you… uh… Nevermind. I’m sorry.”
The brunette gave a huff. “...I appreciate the concern. But I’m fine.” A beat passed. “Thank you for… helping. Somewhat, that is….”
Something in the maid’s eyes lit up. “Oh, you're welcome! I’m always happy to be useful.”
Useful. What a strange word choice. Cassandra raised an eyebrow “You’re a weird little one, Shorty.”
“Melony.”
“What?”
“It’s my-Nevermind. I’m sorry.” Melony rubbed the back of her neck. It seemed like she hadn’t stopped fidgeting the entire conversation. “I have to fetch the broom. Give your sisters my best regards when they wake up? I hope they feel better soon.”
Cassandra blinked, and watched the woman shuffle off to go find a broom to sweep up the glass with.
A strange little maid indeed.
