On Being Cool
I'm honestly not lmao. Like, the complete opposite. Truth be told, I feel like you have to be just a little weird in order to study medicine (but not too weird.) Also, the thing about medical students not being allowed to wear the long white coat is true. There's a bit of a culture in medicine/medical education where you "earn" the long white coat when you graduate but until then, you wear a short white coat.

I found myself stepping out of the shell that I had put myself in.
I first started watching the Vlogbrothers while I was reading John’s book Looking for Alaska, and I was instantly drawn in to their nerdy, dorky relationship. From then on, I was hooked.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been one of the “smart” kids at school. I get good grades, turn in all my work on time, and work my butt off to be the best that I can be. I was always the one to answer questions in class or volunteer for something. This was always the norm for me, until my classmates started poking fun at me for being smart.
People in middle school would always say, “Wow, you’re so smart. You make me feel dumb,” or, “You’re too smart.” I absolutely hated this.
Confused, slightly immature, little sixth grader me hated the fact that she made people feel dumb. Stupid. As a people-pleaser by nature, I didn’t like the thought that what I knew made others feel bad about themselves, even though looking back that’s probably not what they meant.
So, in order to make everyone happy, I started to get progressively more quiet. I didn’t answer as many questions in class, didn’t talk so much in group projects, etc. I still worked hard and was at the top of my class, but I never outwardly showed it, for fear of being told that I was “too smart.” This continued into my Freshman year.
I had a great group of smart, funny, and incredibly supportive friends, still did everything to the best of my ability, but was now known as the really smart girl who was quiet in class. Towards the end of my Freshman year was when I found the Vlogbrothers. I honestly couldn’t believe that I had found adult versions of my nerdy self. The best part? They completely embraced their intelligence and nerdiness. And people loved them for it. As I started to become a bigger Nerdfighter, I found myself stepping out of the shell that I had put myself in.
I would answer more questions in class. I participated more in group discussions. I wasn’t afraid to show my true self outside of my group of friends. I started to embrace my intelligence. John and Hank showed me that I could be smart, nerdy, and still love myself at the same time. I ended up finding a few other Nerdfighters at my school. One of my best friends finally started watching John and Hank, and now she’s addicted.
I’m currently in Junior high school, and can honestly say that finding John and Hank has been one of the best things that’s happened to me. Seeing what Nerdfighteria has been able to do is amazing. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of this outstanding, weird, nerdy community. John and Hank, thank you so much for all that you’ve done. I’m a different person for the better because of you guys and all of Nerdfighteria, and I am forever grateful. :)

How does it feel to be as cool as you are?
Amazing art and writing skill
like how is it being generally so cool
Hi😊
You're the first person who told me this.
Thank you very much, it means a lot to me.
Being cool...It's like being yourself. You are not afraid of falling, you accept criticism or you don't care about it and that's great.
(😅I have never thought of myself as a cool person, there is always pressure, but not from the environment, but from my own requirements, expectations and dreams), I just want to show people the world as I see it, to add color to the reality that is gray for me on a daily basis. Here I can be myself, I am constantly improving my writing and creation skills.
Cool...it is also about being open to new opportunities and expanding your perspectives.
(As I write this, I feel like a philosopher😆)
Be yourself, don't put on a mask, sometimes it's worth taking a risk and showing yourself and your own ideas to the world.
That should be all for now. 😊

Its absolutely no coincidence that the people being sent baseless sexual assault accusations against predstrogen have, from what I've seen, been young transmascs.
The terfs behind the harassment campaign are so brazenly trying to prey on anybody they reckon might have any transmisogynist tendencies and are trying to use that to sow discord in the trans community. They see transmasculine people as potential avenues for recruitment (and eventual detransition) and it's extremely fucking important that the people being sent these anons do not fall headfirst for the bait. They want you to go 'uh oh, guess trans women are sex pests after all' and that to stick with you and fester, and turn that seed of prejudice into the continued harm of transfem people.
If you want to be a meaningful ally to transfem people right now you have to be vigilant for this shit, and correct it where you see it. If you think being used as an angle of recruitment by bigoted harassment is gross, imagine how it would feel to be the damn focus of the harassment.

It's Danny's first time doing his taxes, and he's reaching out to an online friend to help him. This is how he discovers that as far as the rest of the world is concerned, Amity Park is a barely contained zombie outbreak.
He'd made an online friend, Bart, and they played video games a lot.
Danny's fulltime job is inventing alongside his parents, and as that makes him self-employed (he doesn't work for his parents just next to them), this makes his taxes a little...scary. And it's his first tax season.
He reaches out to Bart, and asks if he knows anyone who files as self employed and if they'd be able to give him some guidance.
He can't ask his parents because, apparently, they've just been throwing random numbers on the papers and have no interest in actually doing them. Danny would like to do this properly.
Also he would like to know how his parents haven't been arrested? Questions for later.
So he shoots a message to Bart, who's apparently in the middle of some sort of sleepover with all of his old friends. Bart assures him that it's fine, and they'll all pitch in to help.
They just need to know his city and state so that the nerd of the group, some guy named Tim, can look up local state and city tax law.
When he tells them he's from Amity Park, there's no response for a good ten minutes.
What follows is a barely legible request for a phone number to call, and a group of people on the other side shouting and asking how he's avoided dying in the hellscape zombie apocalypse that is Amity Park.
Danny has no idea what the other shit means, but he's not about to dodge a chance to make a dead joke when he has one.
"I mean. If you wanna get technical, I didn't. Is...that something that'll effect my taxes?"
OR: The GIW has been lying to keep the Justice League and Justice League Dark out of Amity Park by declaring it a Disaster Zone, stating that not only is there massive pollutants in the air and soil, but that the undead run rampant and are barely contained. The wording they use, however, is a little weird upon closer inspection. It never specifies zombie, and it never says what pollutants. Danny's not super interested about that, though; he just wants to pay his taxes so that the IRS doesn't kill him in his sleep.
