Peppino's Spaghetti's Hypothetical Smash Moveset:

Jab:
A three-hit jab based on the various ways he kicks and punches enemies. Notably, the first part of this jab sends him forwards a few steps, making it close gaps. It can also be held down to turn into a rapid jab, based off an unused animation.

Forward Tilt:
A golf swing, knocking opponents upwards. Utilizes a sword/like disjointed hitbox.

Down Tilt:
Peppino's little zip-through-gaps move. Not too much knockback or damage, but a solid combo starter that can let you slip under attacks.

Up Tilt:
An upwards slap, based on one of Peppino's many unused animations. Combos with the forward tilt at low percentages.

Dash Attack:
A mach-run style headbutt. It gives his head complete invincibility as he does it, allowing him to punch through projectiles or attacks.

Forward Smash:
A shotgun blast. Not as huge as the original, but it IS disjointed. It's slow to come out, requiring Peppino to pull out his shotgun.

Down Smash:
Peppino's sweet breakdance skills. Classic down smash that whacks opponents on either side. Good horizontal reach but no vertical reach, making it good for ledge-trapping but easy to punish.

Up Smash:
Peppino's Super Taunt. Turns his body into a big, up-sending hitbox. Quick to come out, but low active frames and a longer endlag.

Neutral Air:
A spin move based off Peppino's aerial attack when he gets the Devil's Choice pizza. Fast and safe, but with a small hitbox, demanding aggression.

Up Air:
Guest-Starring Mort! A big disjoint great for juggling.

Down Air:
Peppino's dive. While it does basically no damage, it comes out basically instantly and can be cancelled out of, making it a very useful utility.

Forward Air:
His aerial shoulder-bash. Similar to the dash attack it grants a moment of invincibility on his arm, allowing it to punch through attacks. This is balanced by a split-second delay in its execution where it can be interrupted, demanding timing. It also sends you forwards, which can be a handy recovery tool OR an easy way to launch yourself into the abyss.

Back Air:
Use Peppino's unused pizza cutter for an attack. The hitbox is somewhat disjointed, making it one of your very few poking tools.

Forward Special:
Peppino's iconic grab dash. Interrupts movement and acts as a command grab, allowing Peppino to carry his opponent and launch them in a direction of his choosing.
If grabbed in the air, it can be turned into a pile-driver with a downwards input, with damage and knockback increasing depending on how long the move takes to hit the ground.
While powerful, it can be interrupted with a disjointed hitbox or if struck in the few frames before its execution. It also possess a lot of end-lag if it misses, ESPECIALLY if used in the air.

Neutral Special:
Peppino's taunt/parry. Comes out very fast, freezes him in place, and unique in that it can be used to interrupt Peppino's other moves during their initial wind-up frames. Once the move ends (;provided he hasn't been hit) Peppino resumes doing whatever it interrupted, including maintaining his momentum. While a very powerful mixup tool, it DOES have fickle timing and a good second of end-lag if it misses, meaning timing it wrong can get you whacked.
The parry itself does very little damage and has fixed knockback. Its primary use is not to deal damage, but to negate it.

Up Special:
His uppercut move, which grants him invincibility during its use. If utilized on the ground, it instead uses his super jump. While the super jump itself isn't too effective catching opponents in the air, it CAN be used to duck attacks due to how heavily is squishes Peppino's hitbox. It also temporarily removes Peppino's player collision, allowing enemies to move over him and get struck when he jumps.

Down Special:
His bodyslam. If he does it from high enough in the air, it'll grant him invincibility until he hits the ground similar to Kirby's rock attack.

Grab:
As you'd expect, Peppino's grab is very powerful, with excellent reach and powerful throws. His pummel involves slapping the opponent repeatedly, again using an unused animation:

Like the game's climax, Peppino loses his goddamn mind and charges into his enemy. If he connects, he proceeds to beat the cheese out of them, and ends with his legendary pile driver.

So I finished Sea of Stars today (as anyone with me on their dash will find out as soon as they scroll past this post). Long story short, I loved it! It was a really solid experience from start to finish, and I'm going to take a moment here to sing some praises.
Early on the first thing that charmed me was the environment design- it felt like I could follow my character's journey visually on the world map through the zones when I entered and exited them, which just testifies to how well made the overworld map is. The environment designs were just great in general- every place was visually interesting and some of the backgrounds were absolutely jaw dropping.
I liked the combat system! It's not hard by any means but it's fun. It starts out slow to ramp up the interesting features and many times in the early game I felt like combats were over before I got to use any cool moves, but by the time you unlock all the mechanics it's a really dynamic system. I like the choice to flatten the MP bars and skill costs and put an emphasis on alternating spending MP on two-three skills and then basic attacking to replenish it. The live mana system gives another dynamic angle that ended up feeling a lot like Octopath's BP system in execution (again, setting up a cadence of small attacks to charge -> big damage attack -> repeat) but also interacted well with the lock system. The combo attacks are a highlight and the elemental lock system encourages nearly all of them to enter the rotation. The only gripe I have is that the Obligatory Indie RPG Timed Hits Like Paper Mario, while they do have good feel once you get them down, *really* could have used a timing example on first appearance, or someplace to practice using them. When a new party member showed up with a completely different attack pattern, it took me several fights of pressing A at random times during the animation to figure out where the right timing window was. Turning on the modifier that gave feedback on perfect timing was helpful to know when I had it, but I didn't like having to guess what part of the animation I was aiming at in the first place.
The characters were excellent- though I don't have much to say about some of them, others of them felt like they were aimed directly at me and the types of character I like. There were multiple times that I was delighted to see a new character get to join the ensemble and not just remain in place. I think they were all treated well by the story and most importantly, all had their moments to shine. On that, the story in this one was also excellent- some good twists and some *really* heartfelt plot beats that will stick with me. One visually shattering moment in the middle gave me that awe-struck "oh to experience that again for the first time" feeling whenever I passed through that area thereafter. Just an overall good story well told.
Like I said in my last post, I enjoyed the gamefeel of traversal, which is surprising since JRPGs aren't really a movement focused genre. But again, with the addition of verticality, climbing up ledges and rock walls, and later on the grapple hook to cross gaps, I was pretty engaged even when backtracking- though there was very little backtracking, since the world and environments were designed as very straightforward and easy to navigate. The collectibles and sidequests were at a good challenge level where they weren't free but they also didn't take dozens of hours to scour the world for the hidden door, etc. The game also gives you a modifier that gives a radar for collectibles too making it easy to get that nice shiny completion star. And the sidequests were all worthwhile too, especially the late game character-specific questlines. The full completion reward true ending surprised me at first, but I settled into it once the feelings started to flow.
It wouldn't be fair to the game to not mention the way it wears its love for Chrono Trigger and other SNES-era JRPGs on its sleeve. If "Guest Composer: Yasunori Mitsuda" wasn't enough of a clue, the story is tucked full of easter eggs and references, combo attacks and enemies and environments and plot beats that fans of Chrono Trigger would identify easily. But I think it handles the inspiration well, being an homage that still keeps up its own identity. The lore tying it to the studio's other game, The Messenger, helps with that. It's not just "hey let's remake this game we're all nostalgic for beat for beat" and more "hey let's do our own thing but throw in a lot of nods for us and for other people who are nostalgic for this."
Overall, playing the game was great to end 2023 and finishing the game is a killer start to 2024! A very hearty recommend from me.

The Miys, Ch. 230
So, I have been reliably informed by @mike-ks-66502-blog that “The Miys” has broken containment: they found my story through FB!??? What the... for realsies? (Also, will respond to your ask soon, just kind of processing that information)
Thankfully it was a screenshot someone shared with Noah hilariously mis-translating Terran slang.
Highly distinguished new readers this week also include @111angel3, who not only took on the speedrun of the story, but commented on doggone near every single chapter; along with @krashingallalong, who last I checked was on chapter 216 and still going. Yes, Krash, I do read my comments ;) I’ll get that link fixed.

The mood on Level One was tense for what felt like a severely unsustainable length.  Everyone had fallen back on short answers to avoid interruption, and any mundane question only rated a curt nod at best. My shoulders hurt, I couldn’t sleep, and I was reasonably certain that Noah was sneaking a disgusting amount of stimulants into Tyche’s water, given how long she had been standing.  I even caught myself, while confirming Parvati’s dispatches and food requests, grousing mentally about the rules of movies and the need for something to break at some point.
Given the current environment, I was pretty sure it would be my teeth before anything else.
Thirty plus hours of clenching my teeth ended up being the only thing to prevent me from spitting out something when an irritatingly soothing chime came over the comms. “All Ark personnel, this is Odvub in secure communication. Please be aware that the Eko-mari fleet have found a decisive way to locate the pirate fleet.  Ix’al, Brol, and all ship captains have been advised and are preparing for evasive maneuvers. The Ark is expected to sustain cosmetic fire. Please respond as though it is damaging. Sensor logs will confirm.”
Those who had not been present in the Council chamber when Odvub had been revealed - thankfully limited to three adjuncts - fell to the deck in confusion.  Evan and Maverick immediately sprang from their seats and started shaking out their limbs, while Tyche tapped on Arthur’s shoulder without a word.
After an exchange of nodding and shaking heads, Arthur heaved a sigh and took her position. “Strategist Arthur Farro taking over for Navigator Tyche Reid.”
“I can’t be distracted,” she called out before chugging an odd looking sludge that Maverick handed her. “I navigate, Arthur updates.”
Anxiety clenched my stomach as I dashed over to her. “When is the last time you slept? Are you on top of your game?”
She nodded before swallowing the last of the… whatever. “I don’t know what Noah is putting in this, but Antoine mentioned something about a lactic acid counteragent, hyper oxygenated something, and some other things that sounded very anti-fatigue rather than pro-energy.”
“Is this safe?!” I demanded, as quietly as possible.
Noah sent a targeted response to us. “It is safe up to ninety-eight Terran hours, at which point Tyche will need half that duration in full sleep.”
“Translation - “ she started.
“If you need it beyond the safe point, we’re either dead or you’ve crashed,” I interrupted. “Don’t correct me, I don’t want to hear any other possibility. We have other people who can navigate.”
Tyche rocked her head side to side. “With any luck we won’t - “
The entire ship rocked to one side, throwing us both painfully against a table and cutting off whatever she was going to say. Maverick and Evan were the first to move, clawing against the near-vertical plane to get back to their stations.
Noah’s voice buzzed angrily over the comms. “Eko-mari fleet! We have stayed course as requested, despite debris! Advise!”
“Eko-mari Command to Hujylsogox vessel Yjq. Stay your course. Unexpected debris struck your vessel, and we are taking guard to avoid any future collisions.”
Odvub’s soft chime followed. “That was a warning shot from the pirate fleet. The Eko-mari sustain a falsehood.”
Even though I hadn’t thought it possible, the mood on Level One sombered even further. Maverick and Evan strapped into their seats before the Ark was even close to leveled out, while Arthur simply crawled beneath the closest table, bracing himself between the seats with his legs and back. Tyche yanked off her boots and managed to get to the piloting position just long enough to peel off her leggings and use them to tie herself physically to Mav and Evan’s seats.
Everyone else followed their lead, bracing or securing ourselves to the nearest object protruding from the deck.
After what felt like the longest ninety seconds of my life, Maverick shouted. “Conor! I need you in the engine room now! I trust Noah with my entire existence, but for what we are about to do I need an engineer and some instinct.”
“Derek and Sam are secure, along with Nixe and Coffey,” came the response. “Teeth is in a suspension life-pod.”
“Life pod!?” Charly shouted before Maverick signalled her as patch in, letting her repeat her request.
Noah and Grey responded at the same time, before Noah stopped and allowed Grey to restart. “Suspension life-pods are reserved for high-priority survivors. Assuming either the pirates or Miys survives the conflict, Teeth will be safe.  If neither survive, they will be suspended indefinitely, until a being salvages and opens the pod.”
Groggy as it was, Nixe’s voice followed with enough to command to make it clear who was speaking. “I have already asked Ix’al, one Queen to another, that if our heir falls into enemy hands, death would be preferred.”
“What!?” Charly demanded.
“If the pod is recovered within sixty Terran hours, it will not open for any hands but Terran, Glux, Shalt-kri’i, or So’k’nor. Not even for Hujylsogox - Our apologies, Noah.”
“No offense taken, Nixe.”
“After sixty hours,” Nixe continued, “only Terran hands can open the pod.”
A brief pause of horrified silence, and Odvub clarified what we all wanted to ask but could not bring ourselves to. “If the Ark is destroyed, the pod will be fired in the direction of the anticipated colony on Von. If there are no Terran survivors, only the pirate fleet or their allies can open the pod and account to Teeth what has happened.  Lacking that, the pod will either drift into a star or need to be taken to Earth to be opened.”
Xiomara started to object. “I - “
“Seal it,” Charly cut off wetly. “Seal the pod, along with any others. Nixe, if Coffey is not willing to go with Teeth, and if you aren’t, ask Jordan to. Everyone else is here.”
“Charly - “
“No, Xiomara.” Charly hiccuped, took a deep breath, and kept going. “I don’t care who on this vessel was a child soldier. Teeth is not. And we are better than that. Teeth, the genetic data, the Archive, all of it - I motion they follow the path Nixe outlined.”
With a tone of despair, Xiomara called the vote.
It was unanimous.
We didn’t even have time to grieve before Odvub chimed through. “Incoming shot from pirate vessel, targeting starboard.”
All we could do was brace before the impact rocked the ship sideways again. “Damage report!” Huynh demanded.
Arthur’s hands flew under the table across from mine. “Damage limited to Level Twelve, BioLab Two.”
“Sterile silicate and water,” Maverick shouted. “All available on Von, great shot. Conor! Where are you!”
Panting filled the comms. “I would be there faster if you could drive better, love.”
“You aren’t dead yet,” Mav bitched back. “Confirm when you reach the engines, I’ll patch Huynh and Charly through.”
“Don’t patch me through,” Huynh responded. “I’m not a rocket scientist.”
“Boss, we need to confirm the ship can take whatever he’s trying to do,” Conor panted. “At the door, entering now.”
In the corner of my eye, I saw Charly throw an invisible ball angrily at her mentor. “Ship schematics and stress points. Pull it up, watch for hot spots.”
Huynh glanced at Xiomara, who was ostensibly in charge since this was combat.
She surged forward from the waist, like she was trying to bite something. “You heard the woman! Pull it up, watch for hot spots.”
Huynh appeared mollified, spreading his hands to open the map.
“Xale!” Maverick shouted. “I need you to hit the fore of the Ark. Target to glance the bow, no confirmation needed. All hands, brace for impact!”
Yet again, someone seemed to ask Xiomara’s approval, even though I couldn’t see who. “Fucking hell, you heard the man, just do it! Stop asking for confirmation!”
The Ark surged in yet another direction, this time shoving my hip against the strut of a seat. Bruised is alive, I reminded myself as I tested my joints. Everything hurt, nothing broken.
As soon as that assessment registered, I was thrust to the opposite side, earning a matching bruise.
“Hujylsogox vessel Yjq!” screamed over the comms. “What are you doing!?”
“Weapons fire struck the fore of the Ark,” Noah responded. “Accelerating to leave plane of combat, per protocol.”
“Cease acceleration. No enemy fire has been detected!”
I didn’t even need Odvub to confirm that the Eko-mari were lying out of whatever they had that functioned as an ass.
“Regardless, protocol establishes to leave debris field or accelerate beyond plane of combat,” Noah insisted.
“You will cease acceleration at once!”
Noah didn’t respond, but Maverick did, without hesitation.
“Nope, not happening. Conor, tell me if she red lines.”
“Will do.”
“Noah! If I accelerate and dodge using only maneuvering thrusters, can you alert me to the last moment that the Ark can reach Von and decelerate using planetary gravity?”
“You will need to modify trajectory.”
“That’s a yes, I love it,” Maverick huffed. “All hands! This is your pilot speaking, brace for evasive maneuvers in any direction. That means ‘strap yourself down as best you can, or get the shit beat out of you’.  Shipwide gravity spin will be stood down over the next… thirty minutes. You will get dizzy, light headed, and congested. Anyone with heart conditions, please see your nearest med bay as carefully as possible to be put into suspension.”
Xiomara cut in on the end of Maverick’s communication. “And don’t even fucking bother asking me or Grey for confirmation. You heard him, do it, we’re busy. If we don’t think it’s enough, we’ll let you know.”
“Agreed,” Grey ground out, eyes screwed tight and limbs tense to brace for sudden motion. “And if you are prone to regurgitation under extreme motion, please put on a bivouac suit. It will capture and filter, the rest of us thank you.”

If Knock was in Smash, what would their kit be? Smash attacks, recovery, taunts, grabs, Final Smash, shield break animation, stuff like that? Curious on what their quotes would be for different stuff too like being hit with light/heavy attacks, getting knocked out, victory quotes and all that too, but if this is all too much for one ask I totally get it!
Okay so this is actually an awesome question, and you bet your ass I'm gonna spend a shit ton of time on this. It's gonna be a bit tough since unlike most Smash characters, Knock doesn't have much recognizable... Anything really. But I mean, anything is better than Sonic's 5000 different spindashes.
So first of all, let's get the basics down first. Knock is the definition of a glass cannon. She's a lightweight with poor recovery, but she hits like a semi truck.
Her hitbox would be pretty similar to Sonic, since y'know mobians, a bit taller but that's about it.
She would hit hard, like Bowser level even. Not as fast as Sonic, obviously, but still pretty speedy. I'd say Robin is a good example of her speed, and her run animation would be long, powerful strides.
Now like I said, the drawback to her strength and speed is her weight, she's like Sheik.
NOW TO THE FUN PART, THE MOVES
Jab - Three pretty fast punches forward, each increasingly more powerful, followed by a quick and pretty strong kick.
Up tilt - Knock does a small leap straight upwards with an uppercut. Not very powerful, but fast and has some serious knockback. A great finisher.
Down tilt - Knock does almost a breakdance style leg sweep. Not super powerful, but fast with very little lag.
Forward tilt - Knock leans down towards the ground, and then does a horse kick in the direction she’s facing. Think of it like Sonic’s Forward tilt but more powerful and a bit slower.
Forward aerial - Knock does a powerful dropkick forward, with a pretty big hitbox. The move has some ending lag, leaving Knock punishable during this.
Neutral aerial - Knock does a spin in the air and swings her fist around her in a circle. Very minimal lag, but also not super strong.
Back aerial - Knock turns around and throws an overhand punch, much like King K. Rool in his back aerial, but faster and with less lag. Not super powerful though.
Down aerial - Knock does a quick one leg stomp dive downwards, and meteor smashes if the enemy is directly hit by Knock’s foot. Very fast and has minimal lag.
Forward Smash - Knock gets a boxing glove onto her hand, and winds up a punch, kind of like how Sonic winds up his punch. The punch can do some big damage, but it has some ending and start-up lag. It also sends Knock in the direction she’s facing slightly after the attack.
Up Smash - Knock does a 540 kick, much like Captain Falcon does in his Up Smash. It has some okay vertical reach, and it hits hard, but it has very noticeable ending lag which makes it very punishable.
Down Smash - Knock hops up into the air, and then does a heavy elbow drop/slam directly down, which stops until Knock either hits an opponent or ground. It is uncancellable. A pretty solid ability for edge guarding, though also a risky one since it’s a KO for you if you miss.
Dash attack - Knock leaps forward, and does a flying kick in the direction she’s going. It’s a pretty fast attack with minimal lag, but which doesn’t hit that hard.
Grabs
Grab - Knock grabs the opponent by their neck and holds them up (or downwards, if they happen to be taller). The grab is pretty fast, but has a very short range.
Pummel - Knock does a low punch to the gut, like a bully taking my lunch money. Ow.
Forward Throw - Knock swings the opponent around her before throwing them forward.
Back Throw - Knock jumps up and throws the opponent behind her by swinging them underneath her mid-air.
Up Throw - Knock lets go of the opponent for a split second before executing a double kick that sends the opponent straight up.
Down Throw - Knock goes in for a roundhouse kick that bashes the opponent onto the ground.
Edge Attack - Knock jumps up from the edge with a quick leg sweep.
Specials
Neutral Special - Knock leans down and picks up a small rock, before throwing it in the direction she’s facing. The move has a little bit of start-up lag, and doesn’t do much. Basically just her one ranged choice.
Side Special - Knock lunges forward, and quickly bites the air. If an opponent is hit by this bite, they will not only take a heavy hit, but also get poisoned. This is important for Knock’s moveset, as it gives her a solid way to do damage over time.
Up Special - Knock jumps up into the air with a backflip, and does a sweep kick around her. A very strong attack with a lot of start-up lag.
Down Special - Knock crouches down, and crosses her arms in front of her face as a block for a second. If an opponent tries to hit her during this, Knock counterattacks with a quick leg sweep that leads to an overhand punch that stuns the opponent for 2 seconds. This attack is similar to Little Mac’s down special.
Final Smash - So this was a bit tough, since most characters in Smash have a recognizable move as their final smash. I was thinking of maybe being lazy and just making Super Knock, but I refuse to give any of my OCs super forms. So, I came up with something. Knock lets out a battle cry, before running forward in a straight line. “ARE YA READY TO RUMBLE?!” Every opponent hit by her along the way is thrown into a cinematic boxing arena, where Knock beats the everloving shit out of them, absolutely walloping on ‘em, kicks and punches, before finally the screen zooms in on her fist, and with a final, incredibly powerful uppercut, sends the opponents flying! This final smash is harder to hit than most of the others, but it is always a guaranteed KO.
And now some miscellaneous stuffs!
Appearance - Knock lands on the battlefield from the sky, superhero landing style!
Idle animation - Knock blows her hair tuft up from in front of her eyes.
Up Taunt - Knock confidently flexes her arms. “Come on, then!”
Side Taunt - Knock bursts into a laugh, crouching down while trying to contain her laughter. Oh, and she has a snort laugh.
Down Taunt - Knock plays the air guitar! “Woo! Let’s do this!”
Victory Screen 1 - Knock does the rock-on hand symbol while eating a chili dog. “Hah! Didn’t even put up a fight!”
Victory Screen 2 - Knock cracks her knuckles before doing a sick backflip. “That’s it? Hah!”
Victory Screen 3 - Knock adjusts the cuff on her glove, before turning to face the camera and punching it. The camera is now facing Knock from a downwards angle, with her looking down at it. “Give me a challenge next time, will ya?”
OH AND For the music in the victory screens, I know the music would probably be just the Sonic level clear music BUT I had to also throw Junker Queen’s theme from Overwatch in here since she’s Knock’s voice claim and I feel the theme works for her a lot.
Alternate Costumes - I don’t have much ideas for this, but one of the recolors should be colored like Surge just for their similar designs.
Kirby hat - Knock’s ponytail, ears and hair tuft.
Shield Break Animation - Knock holds her head and struggles to keep standing as the cartoony stars float around her head.
I didn’t have much else for quotes since most characters in Smash Bros have just grunts and screams for their moves, and also because I suck ass at dialogue lmao. So Knock just grunts and screams when anything happens.
THIS WAS A TIME CONSUMING ONE BUT MAN I HAD FUN WITH IT!!! I would not be against doing this with other OCs in the future :>

So I don't know why but I came up with a pitch for a Waluigi-game.
Okay, so basically, each Mario character is defined by a unique movement mechanic or style, right? So in order to come up with an idea for how Waluigi would play, we would need to come up with a specific movement style for him. So, what do we know about Waluigi?
-He uses his legs a lot, and is a skillful dancer that spins around a lot.
-He's a combination of Wario and Luigi.
So, combining Luigi's low friction with Wario's Shoulder Dash and Waluigi's confirmed trait of being a dancer, here comes my pitch for Waluigi's movement style; the Spin.
Waluigi's has very slow movement at the beginning of each level, and is barely able to jump, because of his giant shoes. But, by pressing a button, he can Spin around, dashing forward a bit before slowing to a halt. But, by pressing forward, he can maintain momentum, allowing him to spin again, becoming faster.
A couple of extra details about the Spin:
-A correctly timed Spin allows Waluigi to kick enemies, gaining even more speed.
-If Spin is pressed in the air, Waluigi will continute to spin forever until he bounces off an object.
-With enough speed, when crashing into a wall made out of bricks, you can push Spin and begin drilling on through.
Each level would be much, much shorter than most Mario game levels, being exactly long enough for you to build up max speed and remain there for like half a minute, while maintaining enough space for mistakes.
This would allow for a lot of fun stuff, like stupidly long jumps only possible through Spin-Bouncing and a lot of momentum, tons of enemies in a line so you have to get the timing of parrying them all in a row correctly, and Sonic-like alternative paths only available if you have enough speed to reach them, to name a few.
For story, it's a Mario game so it really doesn't matter, but to keep in line with Waluigi's characterization as a romantic, and explain why he is stressing through each level, perhaps the story would be about him wanting to visit a big ball to dance with Daisy, but he wakes up to late and misses his train, causing him to start dashing through the country to reach the castle. Here's my pitches for the different worlds, taking the opportunity to experiment a bit now that we don't have to follow the standard Mario formula;
World 1: Weirdo Woods.
Opening with a Haunted Forest, containing bats and boo that can be bounced off of, spider's threads that you can hold Spin to spin across or bounce off of, branches that send you away etc. Until at the end of like level four, where you hold Spin to bend a tree back and get sent away into a massive tree, containing a secret village of Shy Guys (imagine that one Mario Kart level) This level would have you dashing away from giant squirrels, leaves that break if you spin on them so you have to build up momentum on solid ground to jump off of them, ending with a vertical level up the tree trunk where you have to go back and forth the screen, bouncing off the walls to maintain momentum while going in the other direction. At the end, you have a "boss battle" with a giant Shy Guy, making you have to build up momentum to jump into him and knock off his mask.
The world ends with Waluigi using the same bending-back trick he used earlier in the world on the giant tree, blasting him to the next world..
World 2: Starry Snow Mountain
Beginning with a frozen lake with even less friction than normal, while also containing fish jumping out of the ice to surprise you, filling the area with tricky jumps. The world then takes on a vertical nature as you climb up the titular mountain, using the wind blasts to your advantage and at times disadvantage, and avoiding snowballs rolling down the mountain. At the end, you are once more shot by a cannon to the final part of the level, the starry skies above the world for the other half of the world, featuring meteors for you to bounce off of, UFO's trying to beam you up and super small planetoids who'se rings you can glide around to build up momentum quickly.
The world ends with a boss battle against Rosalina, who throws star bits at you that you have to parry. At the end, you slapstick fall down to the third world.
World 3: Goldy-Goldy Canyon
Beginning with you riding off an avalanche down the mountain you started the second world with, ending with you crashing into basically Wario's Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, featuring minecarts that you can either avoid or ride in, Bullet Bills with cowboy hats for you to parry and a lot of sand for you to drill through. The entire world ends with you falling into a secret temple hidden under the sands of the canyon, filled with traps and Pokeys. After sliding through the temple and having a boss battle with the sister of Knucklotec from Odyssey, you are in the end saved by Lakitu, who takes you to the next world.
World 4: Tech Town
The first half of the world is Toad's Factory from Mario Kart. Oil puddles that makes you faster, but if you go too fast you fall down, conveyor belt that switches directions, giant presses that you have to avoid and mechanical enemies that can't be parried so you have to jump over them. At the end of the like sixth level, after a mini boss fight against Toadsworth in a mech, the factory explodes, sending you into the water outside, for a final couple of episodes where you dash across the seafloor, bouncing off of fish and avoiding the mechanical pieces falling from the sky.
In the end, Waluigi get's saved by an airship from the sky after a boss fight against a giant shark.
World 5: Skyship Chase
This world opens with two levels connected by a story, beginning with Waluigi traveling through the ship to thank the captain, only to have a boss fight with him (a Monty Mole) and once more, crash the ship, the second level being him traveling in reverse through the crashing ship. The world then becomes more of a traditional sky world, with beanstalks to slide across, small clouds to bounce off of and lightning to avoid. After a final boss fight against the returning Monty Mole in an airballon, now very angry, it is one of those lightning strikes that sends Waluigi falling down into the next world.
World 6: Casino City
Beginning with a level traveling through the damp, dark, Boo-infested sewers, then taking you across the rooftops of skyscrapers in a giant noir city, the second level ending with Waluigi discovering, then crashing into Wario's giant casino. The world then becomes giant casino-themed, with cards being dealt out functioning as platforms, slot machines where each little symbol is a platform to be bounced off of, coins being shot out to avoid, giant pinball machines for you to bounce throughout ending with a car chase after Wario through the rain-swept city streets.
After stealing Wario's car, Waluigi drives off to Daisy's castle.
World 7: Ballroom Bash!
Waluigi reaches the castle, taking on a long series of gauntlets as he travels through the town outside of it, it's garden, basement, kitchens and in-built sports arena, finally reaching the ballroom for a final gauntlet of jumps across chandeliers and tables, ending with a boss battle against Daisy controlling a Chain Chomp on a giant stage in front of the entire audience.
In the end, Waluigi convinces himself that the boss fight was a form of dance and brags to Wario in their combined home.

To My Secret Santa
Three characters under the cut: an outcaste Dragon-Blood, a Lunar, and a deathknight. I've put some prompts in there for inspiration but don't feel bound by them!
1- The Glittering Blade, Fire Aspect Adventurer and Hero (he/him) maybe you could describe all exalts would be heroes, but there's no other way to put it; the Glittering Blade is a hero beloved by the people of the Jade Road along the Burning Sands. a brilliant swordsman, passionate storyteller, and stunning romantic in search of the history of his people's warrior-poet tradition before they were conquered by the Realm in the time of his grandmother's grandmother, Blade has made a name for himself in ten years wandering the Road from Urim to Ember.
though he's constantly falling in love with people he meets (and usually, saves), very few get close enough to realize he's much shrewder than simply a good-hearted wanderer, with a calculating eye for his image and a finger on the scale in favour of his own survival. but even if his internal life is more complicated and grey than most know, he continues to risk life and limb for total strangers on a day-to-day basis.

2- Tabaq Twinface, Changing Moon Jackal Lunar (she/they)
what is she good for? making trouble, mostly. Tabaq has been coasting and mooching her whole life, and exalting has only played to her strengths. she is endlessly devoted and clever in creating trouble or taking up one of her many, quickly-discarded life's callings, for everything else she spares the least amount of effort she can manage.
her home, the Lunar domain the Kingdom of the Elephant, has a cultural signifier for "currently exploring my gender", a vertical painted line on the face. though society suggests it last about a month to a year before you make a decision, Tabaq has wandered in and out of Seeking as soon as she could draw the line on her face herself. she insisted to the Elephant that she get the line in her moonsilver tattoos, dedicating herself to always being exploring her gender and never making up her mind in one direction or another.

3- Flame-Eating Moth, Dusk Caste Wanderer (they/them)
Moth woke up no hair, clothes, gender, or memories on a broken stone slab deep in the Labyrinth. in their wanderings through the shifting horrors, pulled by some inexorable force, they found the Great Stones, monumental mausoleums ringing with silence. they were drawn to the terrible things, walking among them, touching the stone reverently, unable to read the ancient words scripted upon them, or decipher their images. they lay down on one of the great stone tablets before the tombs, and slept deep and disturbing dreams, stirring strange memories in their soul and remembering the most ancient, most primal of murders. something immense reached out to touch their mind, a finger brushing the wing of a moth.
they woke from the dream hungrier, stranger, and with a gift dredged unseen from the vaults or restless dreams of those eldest unbeings; a great black sword, wickedly sharp, colder than stone. they remained unsure in their identity. who brought them to this place? why? but the questions mattered less. what mattered was the hunt; tracking those things that would misuse the shifting lands of the Labyrinth, the great creatures of death that would not quite die, but should. the little insect ventured out to test their sting, and it was quite a terrible one indeed.
Exalt type: Dusk Caste, Melee Apocalyptic Anima banner: a dark sword like knapped obsidian ominously hanging over the world. distant howling winds make it sway slightly. at any moment it could fall. Personality: strange and off-putting, alien and detached, a strange soft reverence for very spooky dark things, friend to inanimate objects and little bugs Appearance: short and underfed, greying skin, filthy hands and feet, scratches on their knees and legs, wearing the sack they were stolen in, dilated eyes glitter like black beetles, dark hair recently shaved but beginning to come in again, full back tattoo of slightly-open moth wings they don't know they have Artifacts: Thorn, a hungry black soulsteel daiklave, little in the way of crossguards (it is not for defense. it is for pure murder.) a little oversized for them, it leaves a trailing line behind as they drag it with them and cut through stone Prompts: you know Hollow Knight? anything like Hollow Knight, that is what this is. wielding their terrible Thorn. examining a glass orb wound with string, containing their only friend, a glow worm they let out once in awhile to nibble on slugs and fungi. wearing a featureless bone mask, either on their face, or on their head or tucked behind their neck like a woven cone hat. laying on a stone slab to commune with the Whispers.

Whumptober No.2 - Cornered
In hindsight, this had been incredibly foolish of him. Dashing into an unfamiliar alley in a strange city with an unknown number of assailants loyal to a mysterious master close on his heels was not one of the exploits Essek would be regaling Beauregard with the next time the Nein met on Rumblecusp.
That, of course, assumed he would be joining them again on Rumblecusp.
The sharp snick of a knife caught the back of his knee as he rounded a corner and he gasped, limping forward with hands out, reaching for anything to stop his momentum.
Normally he would reach for the Weave, slip out of their grasp with a well-timed Teleport and land in a warm, brightly lit study full of the scents of cinnamon and the sharp tang of ozone, but it had been a very long day and he was already depleted, not to mention his arcane focus smashed on the floor of the inn he had just fled.
Rough wood and brick greeted his palms. The alleyway ahead narrowed to a dead end. Essek cursed, pressing himself into the corner, fingernails scrabbling at the brick as though Lolth’s influence would show itself and allow him a vertical escape.
“More trouble than you’re worth,” came a snide voice, accent thick but not immediately recognizable around the pounding in Essek’s ears.
“If that is what you think, then I doubt you know who I am,” Essek hissed haughtily, drawing himself up to his full height.
“We know exactly who you are, Shadowhand.” Five hooded figures emerged from the darkness at the end of the alley, one swinging a large knife currently colored by Essek’s own blood.
“Then you know I’m worth more to you alive than dead,” Essek countered. “I’m certain the Assembly has a purpose in sending mercenaries rather than their own dogs.”
The rough-voiced figure in the middle laughed. “Assembly? You’re behind the times.”
Essek’s thoughts whirred to a stop. Not the Assembly? And surely the Bright Queen would not take such a risk as hiring a band of foreign mercenaries . . .
The hand was around his throat before he could catch up, pressing him back into the corner and lifting him nearly from his feet. Essek clawed at the hand pressing against his windpipe, scratched uselessly at the leather bracers. The man’s hand was large enough to nearly enclose Essek’s entire throat.
“Try to wriggle out of this one, Thelyss,” he murmured, holding Essek hard against the corner.
Spots swam in front of Essek’s vision, and before he could summon the strength to attempt one last cantrip, the world went dark.

hi this is like really random but i like titanfall and thought why not assign the damn boys to what i think their titans would be,
im ready tired, imma sleep now, and not editing this
huxley : legion - chain gun
Huxley's vibe is big, loveable himbo, so i think the legion would best suited for him, it's a bigger, bulkier titan built to be able to take a few hits and stay standing. The gun-shield helps keep him safe while he makes his to engage in close-range combat, the legion has the ability to switch between close-range and long-range precision rounds asn well as power shots that cause some serious damage. He'd end up in the frontlines with Damien.
lasko : northstar - sniper
lasko's titan is a backliner, the railgun causes a lot of damage with a fully charged shot. and it takes a little bit of hesitation to be able to pilot one of these titans affectively. It has a vertical take-off hover, and it allows him to get that needed bird's eye view of the field. The tether traps keep him from getting pushed on by other titans and the cluster mines allow him to do a little damage while he repositions.
damien : ronin - shotgun
the ronin has a sword guys, that alone makes it super cool, aka, its a frontliner titan that wields a shotgun. It has a phase dash, which allows the titan to phase out of reality for a few seconds, before returning. Which he'd use very creatively... It has a sword to reduce damage, as well as a few other things, In damien's case, he'd rush in with Huxley at his heels, ready to defend him.
gavin : tone - semi-auto cannon
Gavin feels like he'd be comfortable piloting most titans, but would always come back to his original, the tone, maybe its the tracking rockets, or the slavo core that sets off guided rockets to where the tone aims, he couldn't name it. He was told to use the tone as a backliner, but never has, its force field allows him to get closer (not as close as damien or huxley) and set up with a barrel of rockets and a sonar lock to help locate enemy titans.

˖ ࣪ about: sitting in the secluded corners of the zhào family estate garden, zhào hàoyú takes a sip from his black orchid decorated teacup, before setting it on a treestump beside him. an expression of serenity gracing his pale face, round decorative glasses pushed up into his hair while he with all of his patience and care fixes up a bird’s wounded wing. he gently cooes and muttering comforting reassurances to the small being. every now and then his dioxazine eyes flicker up to watch through the leaves of the weeping willows that hide him from passing servants and family members. should his father find him here, the poor bird would not just have a wounded wing. . . no, he was gonna save this blue tit. a small gust of wind tugs gently at the long black hair that sways around around behind him, together with the light and delicate black hanfu. tresses brush the piercings on his ears; two standard lobe and the stacked helix piercings on both ears along with the industrial on his right. long and slender silver ring clad fingers finish wrapping the bandage around the bird’s wing and with a satisfied sigh, he rises from his spot. standing up to his full 6’8” ( 207 cm ) and with his hands cupped around the bird, stretches his toned and fit physique. his face scrunches slightly just before he finishes the stretch, the light from the garden enhancing the mixture of soft and sharp features of his face — making him look androgynous from certain angles. his overall aesthetic both in makeup and attire vary from gothic to vintage. his lips, which are adorned by silver snake bite piercings stretch into a smile as he walks further into the garden to find a resting spot for the bird. his left eyebrow with a vertical piercing curls as he focuses. with a hum as he finds a spot inside a tree. he pokes out his tongue, showing the silver midline tongue piercing for but a moment as he places the bird within the tree. after a small kiss to its head, the wind once more tugs at the fabric of his hanfu, showing the slight outline of two nipple piercings. the only other piercing way below his robes, is frenum piercing. perhaps another cup of tea is due.
ever the chaotic man — despite what he may seem: the usual calm and almost shy facade — hàoyú is as a matter of fact a man of energetic nature, always running around, laughing loudly all while teasing his friends and siblings. oftentimes being the one who throws jokes around to lighten up the mood when its down. he is capable of being serious and mature when necessary, and he keeps himself collected. not one to snap when things get frustrating or jumbled up — though usually, one finds him still dashing out a few jokes into the conversation. his humoristic behaviour is one of his coping mechanisms, something to keep him sane from the overwhelm of emotions that come crashing down on him when he has to be a witness to the less funny parts of life. he has already experienced enough times where he was crying and screaming to the point he lost his voice, and instead of dwelling, he decided to turn the pain into humour, to cope and laugh instead of cry. he is an extremely empathetic and sympathetic man, showing the deep care to the people that surround him. he can be soft-spoken, whether it is because of his line of work as one of the new york university librarians, or it is because he is on a mission in the society of shades. around people he does not know, he will grow quiet in contrast to his loud and eccentric self. due to his chaotic, teasing and nature, many underestimate him in terms of intimidation, they expect him to be goofy and happy-go-lucky on missions and to a certain extent, they are right, however, this man can make people quiver when he wishes. he will keep his usual joking and teasing facade, casual smile stretched out on his face, as his eyes are piercing into his enemy’s and staring into the pits of their souls. such a different look from his compassionate, gentle and curious demeanour. it is fear inducing and nauseating, showing the clear confidence he carries upon his shoulders. that he is well aware of the situation and what he is doing — how he is going to finish it. that ever burning determination in his eyes glimmering as he leaves the scene of his mission with firelight reflected in his lenses. don’t fall for his facades. he might not seem trustable in other people’s eyes, but he is. he is one of the most loyal and honest, hardworking reapers one can find around the society of shades.
born the second-eldest son of the zhao family, haoyu was trained from a young age as one of the heirs. this resulted in very harsh treatment and endless hours of training. despite all of this, haoyu attempted to remain his genuine and kind self. due to him resembling his mother the most, he would often be a target for his father’s abuse and was greatly scarred by the severe things he was made to do to crush his spirit and ‘weakness’ — such as killing the little garden creatures that he loved oh so much. the treatment of his siblings from his father also resulted in him growing very protective of them, something that he practices even to this day. at a young age he has met the agresta arias brothers, alessio and lorenzo, with whom he formed a sibling bond with; particularly alessio who became one of his closest friends. at the young age of seven he meets shalika vaishya, who quickly becomes his best friend and later girlfriend as the two grow older. a band is formed when haoyu enters his teenage years, composed of his older brother jingyi, alessio, lorenzo, his younger sister yu xi and himself. unfortunately, the band is soon expanded after the loss of most members, leaving only haoyu and yu xi. the heartache continues through haoyu’s early adulthood in which his girlfriend leaves without a trace which results in severe attachment issues from here on out. yet all would be made worse at the death of his older brother, jingyi, at the hands of assassins that attacked that zhao family estate. the young reaper spirals into despair, especially with the second loss of alessio to corruption. still, haoyu tries to be strong, especially for his siblings — and after discovering the corruption across the government of the society of shades, he prides himself in a new mission of changing the course of the society.
incredibly affectionate in both physical and verbal aspects, haoyu prides himself on being caring a with a lover. his passion knows no bounds and he can be a very touchy person when it comes to you; especially due to his touch-starved nature. he extends his care for you by also presenting a shoulder to cry on and is often a very good listener when it comes to you. it does not matter what you could be rambling about, he always gets lost in the sound of your voice and the way that your eyes light up as you tell him about your day or something that you’re passionate about. while he is beyond affectionate, that does not mean that he is not teasing — if anything, his teasing and flustering tendencies only further when it comes to you, be it with his words or actions. he’ll throw you off with little teases and flirts only to snatch you by the waist and turn your head to him when you try to hide from embarrassment. continuing that note, haoyu cannot get his hands off of you. they are always resting on the swell of your hips, the dip of your waist, your thighs and sometimes even randomly biting you through the day. he is admittedly quite clingy and this most definitely shows itself in possessiveness as well. while he will never allow it to grow toxic, he can see himself slipping in terms of possessiveness and usually feels terrible about it after. activities with him include him taking you out to expensive restaurants and spoiling you rotten, dancing around in the garden and whispering sweet nothings to your ear or taking you walks in the park; where he will be quick to pull you off to groves to recite his poetry to you. as one of his muses, haoyu often writes songs about you and is ever-excited to play them for you. despite all of this, haoyu can be quite chaotic with you — yet is sure to calm down should you not enjoy said chaos. after all, he is most careful with you; never wishing to cross your comforts or drive you away.

this was the assurance our Lord gave to the sister of lazarus, whom He loved. it's the assurance resounding throughout the past two thousand years, reaching to our ears now.
i am skipping the usual "familiar friday" message today because my heart is filled once again with expectancy and hope entering with this month. will it be just another hope dashed or will it be a precursor to the most violent of all times - the wrath of almighty God poured out? i cannot speak for all, but i would gladly suffer a thousand disappointments than fail to watch for the one that wasn't.
i do not ask that He must prove His Word is true to me, and that before i can believe He first must let me see.
it is enough for me to know ’tis true because He says ’tis so; on His unchanging word i’ll stand and trust till i can understand.

i may not be a watchman but i am surely a "watcher." our Lord told us all to watch and pray. "take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." mark 13:33 the feast of trumpets has long been regarded as the next feast day to be fulfilled by our Lord, and many signs in the heavens and on earth are indicating this might really be the one.
that does not mean we simply abandon our our everyday efforts. it means we occupy and continue in our well-doings, whatever they may be. we continue to shoulder whatever cross the Lord has assigned us. there is a poem called “the changed cross.” it represents a weary one who thought that her cross was surely heavier than those of others whom she saw about her, and she wished that she might choose an other instead of her own.
she slept, and in her dream she was led to a place where many crosses lay, crosses of different shapes and sizes. there was a little one most beauteous to behold, set in jewels and gold. “ah, this i can wear with comfort,” she said. so she took it up, but her weak form shook beneath it. the jewels and the gold were beautiful, but they were far too heavy for her.

God knows best what cross we need to bear. we do not know how heavy other people’s crosses are. we envy someone who is rich; his is a golden cross set with jewels, but we do not know how heavy it is. here is another whose life seems very lovely. she bears a cross twined with flowers. if we could try all the other crosses that we think lighter than our own, we would at last find that not one of them suited us so well as our own.
whatever your cross may be, know it is well suited for He will not allow us to be burdened above what we are able to bear. as such, we must all bear our cross and continue in the battle of good against evil. the good news that someday - and i believe someday soon - we will lay all our burdens down for we will be lifted up, almost weightless, to heights beyond our wildest dreams.
i read governor huckabee (the dad) said something the other day and we should all pay attention. he said. i can't help it that i get excited as i see each possibility of an impending rapture coming; the fulfillment of yet another "appointed time." i will be seriously watching from the middle of this month , possibly to the middle of next month. (i have heard it said calendars may be off by a month.)
won't you get excited with me? won't you embrace the possibility that this might really be that appointed time? someday it really will be and will you miss that one as well? i receive this as my "rapture month" and none can take it from me save my Lord Himself.
just a word to everyone. due to what i believe the significance this month might birth, you will be reading a few repeats during the coming days. i want to listen closely to what the Holy Spirit might be saying. i just see so much yelling "WATCH" at this time and thus, i will be watching. it's not the yelling we must be listening for - it's that still, small voice. rest assured that if i receive anything i feel from the Lord, i will chime in. God bless us, each and everyone! now let everyone say, "come Lord Jesus, come!"

Rising S Company in Texas builds and installs bunkers and tornado shelters for as little as $40,000 for an 8ft by 12ft emergency hideout all the way up to the $8.3m luxury series “Aristocrat”, complete with pool and bowling lane. The enterprise originally catered to families seeking temporary storm shelters, before it went into the long-term apocalypse business. The company logo, complete with three crucifixes, suggests their services are geared more toward Christian evangelist preppers in red-state America than billionaire tech bros playing out sci-fi scenarios.
There’s something much more whimsical about the facilities in which most of the billionaires – or, more accurately, aspiring billionaires – actually invest. A company called Vivos is selling luxury underground apartments in converted cold war munitions storage facilities, missile silos, and other fortified locations around the world. Like miniature Club Med resorts, they offer private suites for individuals or families, and larger common areas with pools, games, movies and dining. Ultra-elite shelters such as the Oppidum in the Czech Republic claim to cater to the billionaire class, and pay more attention to the long-term psychological health of residents. They provide imitation of natural light, such as a pool with a simulated sunlit garden area, a wine vault, and other amenities to make the wealthy feel at home.
On closer analysis, however, the probability of a fortified bunker actually protecting its occupants from the reality of, well, reality, is very slim. For one, the closed ecosystems of underground facilities are preposterously brittle. For example, an indoor, sealed hydroponic garden is vulnerable to contamination. Vertical farms with moisture sensors and computer-controlled irrigation systems look great in business plans and on the rooftops of Bay Area startups; when a palette of topsoil or a row of crops goes wrong, it can simply be pulled and replaced. The hermetically sealed apocalypse “grow room” doesn’t allow for such do-overs.
Just the known unknowns are enough to dash any reasonable hope of survival. But this doesn’t seem to stop wealthy preppers from trying. The New York Times reported that real estate agents specialising in private islands were overwhelmed with inquiries during the Covid-19 pandemic. Prospective clients were even asking about whether there was enough land to do some agriculture in addition to installing a helicopter landing pad. But while a private island may be a good place to wait out a temporary plague, turning it into a self-sufficient, defensible ocean fortress is harder than it sounds. Small islands are utterly dependent on air and sea deliveries for basic staples. Solar panels and water filtration equipment need to be replaced and serviced at regular intervals. The billionaires who reside in such locales are more, not less, dependent on complex supply chains than those of us embedded in industrial civilisation.

I am pushed forth to join the crowd and enter the jumbled game. Y mom doesn't realizes I'm 7 but I do.
I carve out from the big names the very sacred and famous fountain of Starview, which lies here, in Palatial Palace arena.
I run to the place, dashing through the leaves of the trees which are lined on the slim path and i should be running off the road, which means through the trees. One branch cuts through the bottom of my knee but it doesn't really matters compared to the Fanta fountain.
I reach on time but it seemed like someone was already there before me.
The black long hairs swayed through the wind. It was like the wind had fingers which ran smoothly through the frizz of her hairs, curved at the ends. Delicate, little fringes of short upto-forehead-cut hairs were dancing vertically up as if to catch the rain which was about to fall down.
It starts pouring out of the mist and I stood there like a stone, watching her hairs, getting wet in the spring rain. Its more like winter to be honest.
I don't move. I don't budge. I stood still to watch her. She slowly pulls off her hands from the stone counter made of wood, from which the view ran down to the very deep sea, and looks back to look me in the eye.
The narration turns suddenly deep, smooth, silent and still. As if we slowly grew out of our childhood sweaters, teenage jeans and 20s coats. We are even now. Me and her.

September 7th, 1981 - during our second two month at-sea period in the IO. The commander of the Battle Group, a two-star Admiral, decided we were all becoming complacent, and wanted to shake things up, for the Air Wing, the ship's company, the Battle Group and whoever was keeping tabs on us, be they Russian, Iranian or others. So he switched everyone, the entire battle group, from day ops to night ops. Yeah, that’ll work! The enlisted aircraft maintainers stayed on the day shift, but the officers supervising them, who were also the air crews flying, moved to nighttime cyclic ops flying maybe twice a night at all hours. How long do you think that safety can be maintained by flight crews who are supervising their troops all day and flying all night?
It worked fine… for about 48 hours. Tired controllers working in the ship’s CIC, tired deck crews, tired aircrews, and it’s as dark as a yard down a stovepipe on the flight deck. At some point before 0500 an F-14 was being moved on the flight deck. It had been scheduled for the 0430 launch cycle, but was "down" for maintenance. All the other aircraft had launched. Time to get the deck ready to recover aircraft. Aircraft launched on the previous cycle were returning to the ship, entering the “marshal stack” to set up the recovery sequencing. That can be can be done with or without radio contact between the aircraft and the ship. As luck would have it, the first aircraft in the sequence, an A-7 Corsair II, was inbound with faulty radios. It could only make contact intermittently, and was following the NORDO (no radio) procedure. The Landing Signals Officers (LSO’s) were just taking their positions on the flight deck. Someone below decks had already turned on the “meatball” approach lights. The Corsair popped out of the darkness, and on seeing the meatball, but not hearing the LSO’s, continued his approach. No radios, no problem, right? One of the LSO’s, seeing the approaching A-7 coming in before the deck was ready, made a mad dash to the “pickle switch” and punched the button for the wave-off lights. The A-7 was within a few seconds of landing, with the fully armed and fueled F-14 right in the middle of the landing area!
All jet engines take a few seconds to spool up to max power, and during that time the Corsair continued settling toward the deck. Just as it began to climb, the belly of the A-7 dragged across the top of the F-14’s vertical stabilizers. The F-14 pilot saw the wave-off lights come on, looked back at the approaching A-7 and did two things in quick succession: he mashed the throttles forward and reached for the ejection handle on his seat. Just after the A-7 scraped the tail of the fighter and kept on flying, the F-14 went over the edge of the ship and headed for the water. The pilot ejected at about the same time as the RIO. The F-14 was never seen again. The Indian Ocean is very deep. Both the F-14’s Pilot and RIO were rescued, miraculously uninjured. The A-7 flew around the ship until all the other aircraft in that cycle had landed and made a successful barrier-arrested landing.
Members of the flight deck crew weren’t so lucky. When the crew of the F-14 punched out, the jet’s canopy caught the full power of the F-14’s twin engines, flew across the deck and killed a man waiting to attend the landing jets. Two others were injured, as well. Your author was asleep in his bunk directly below where the collision took place (see my blog "O3-123-4L, Living on the USS Kitty Hawk").
If the timing of the LSO punching the wave-off light, or the go-around by the A-7 had been off by another second, I doubt I would be here to write this story. Whenever I think about that morning, I thank my lucky stars.
After an all day "safety stand-down" the Battle Group resumed normal daytime ops the next morning. Lesson learned, Admiral?

-Nothing much to say about Y/N, Beige stop that reveals her midriff and light blue shorts, BIG RED CLOWNSHOES WITH HEELS, also the thing I forgot was that she literally does not have a face and has to manually apply waterproof makeup so that she looks like a normal person everyday. The game starts off with her make up routine actually lmao I think it wasn't much of a problem for her, because most of her face was hidden thanks to her bangs anyway, but she still enjoys doing it
-Here comes our favourite Hackerman meow meow, so like, his outfits that I described before? Still pretty accurate, Mans got Black hoodie, though I think he has grey sweatpants instead of black pants, oh and also he's got BIG PINK BALLERINA SHOES WHOSE STRAPS GO O N T O P OF HIS SWEATPANTS AND END AT HIS LOWER THIGHS O_O I didn't describe them last time, partly because I totally forgot he had them until I saw his traditional character sheet and partly because I didn't see them in the game, since his sprite cuts off right above where the shoe straps end. So yeah, do with that information what you will. Also he had a straight up Lenny face at first, no eyecolor, just ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Also also he wasn't 7 feet 8, he was 9' 2" O_O .

He's also smoking a red vape in the pic and has a gold chocker
-B. Schneidermann, black fluffy hair that apparently also covering his face because we didn't draw him one either (rip Schneidermann face enjoyers) mirroring his cousins general outfit, except we can actually see the divide between his legs with the red loose pants he's wearing, rainbow long sleeved shirt, I think he was also supposed to have the ridiculous shoulder spikes but they look more like a high collared cape that's reaaaaaaaally short instead, 1 gold bracelet on each of his wrists and smoking a golden vape too, wears the other part of the mismatched shoe pair. He's also holding a banana and a hotdog (I think it's a hotdog at least) also wears a silver choker
Btw if you're wondering what the hell is up with the Schneidermann shoes, it's inspired by another thing we had to do in German period, be basically got a story from a newspaper that we had to retell in another way, the story we got was "Asian man steals peoples left shoes" like, specifically only the left one, which reminds me that Kim Hojungseo would be shoe thief considering that we drew a shit ton of shoes on his sheet lmao.
Extra writing on Hojungseo's sheet: "I only listen to REAL music!" "Save the fucking turtles b-baka! ùwú" "how can mirrors be real, when our eyes aren't?" "Crying on the inside"
